     II. THE GAME.

There is no doubt that your small children will enjoy this
     colorful and not complicated game.

Following the title page you will see an empty game field on the
screen. Wait a few seconds till the picture is loaded and start
     the game.

On the game field there is a moving lane where you will find
"good" and "bad" articles (on the first level these are berries,
mushrooms and toadstools). You control the basket which can move
freely across the game field by means of mouse or arrow-keys. An
article gets into the basket when it runs through its centre, you
needn't specially press any key or mouse button.

When "good" and "bad" articles get into the basket, different
sound effects appear. If you are a novice, they will help you to
learn which articles are due to be picked.

Besides articles, you will meet some obstacles on the lane (on the
first level these are stones and stubs. When the basket runs into
an obstacle it begins to move down the screen. If you don't manage
to release it till it goes beneath the bottom of the game field,
you will lose one of the three given "lives" and a considerable
number of points. When the last "life" is spent the game will end.

After some time the speed of the lane will increase and gathering
     articles will become more difficult.

In the right bottom part of the screen you see three
picktogrammes, to choose any of them press TAB (then the chosen
picktogramme will be framed). To switch the function on/off press
ENTER. When function is on, the picktogramme glows green.

     "bell" - sound effects on/off;
     "treble" - music on/off;
"door" - to end the game and quit to DOS.

     III. GAME LEVELS.

There are six levels in PICKER. The current level is indicated in
special window in the right part of screen.

Level increases after a certain period of time. Levels differ in
their design, in the sorts of articles you have to pick as well as
in their quantity and these of obstacles.

     IV. SCORING.

Points are added for gathered "good" articles and deducted for
     "bad" ones.

In the right part of screen there is a tableau where your current
result is depicted. In the very top window you see champion's
     result.

If after the game is finished your score number is among the best
