     I. LOADING.

-Switch on your computer, load the DOS.
-Insert the game disk in drive A. You may call the program from the
floppy disk or copy it to your hard disk by means of operating
      system.
-Type in "CORNER" and press ENTER.
-When the title page displays, press any key or left mouse button
      to continue.

     II. THE GAME.

In this game either 2 or 4 players can take part; each of them can
     be replaced by computer.

In four corners of square field you will find counters of
different colours. Your aim is to get all the counters of your
colour to the opposite corner earlier than other players do.
Players make their moves one by one, in clockwise rotation.

     The setup screen.

At the very beginning of the game the setup screen appears. In the
center of it there is game field (not functioning in this regime).
In the corners you see four coloured characters with computer
     monitors.

In the bottom part of the screen there is "living menu". You can
activize its items choosing them with your mouse or pressing the
corresponding functional keys on the keyboard.

F1 - to start the game.

F2 - level. Pressing this screen button (or functional key) you
can choose the skill level of your computer opponents: novice,
     master or expert.

F3 - to set up players. When you pick up this item, one of the
monitor pictures will get marked by arrow. Press mouse button and
choose a player for this colour: human or computer. Red cross
means that counters of this colour are not taking part in the
     game.
In order to switch to next colour you need only to place the
     cursor on the corresponding monitor.

     F4 - quit to DOS.

     The game screen.

After picking up the item "START" the game will begin immediately.
The appearance of screen is slightly different: now characters in
the corners show the proper sequence of moves by gestures.
     Counters controlled  by  computer  will  be  moved  automatically;
watching them a novice can better understand the rules. When a
human player's turn comes, the arrow cursor will appear.

     The rules of moves:

In your turn you may move one of your counters:

     - for one check in any direction,
                                     or
     - "jump" over a single counter (either your own or your
     opponent's) in any direction,
                                     or
     - make several jumps in succession if possible; each next jump can
     have new direction.

Place arrow cursor on the counter you want to move and press ENTER
or click mouse button (the check will change its colour). Then
point the check where you want to get your counter and press ENTER
once more. It will also get repainted and, if the move was planned
according to the rules, the counter will come there by the
shortest path. If your have been mistaken, the counter won't move.

     "Living menu".

F1 - information about the authors and developers of the game. To
continue the game press any key or click mouse button.

     F2 - sound on/off.

F3 - calculation of the current result. When you choose this item
you will see figures under characters that show the percents of
accomplishment for each player at that moment.

F4 - to interrupt the game and turn to the setup screen.

The game is over when all the counters achieve their places. Then
you will automatically switch to the setup regime.
