A History Lesson
----------------
While we have long known that Yacht predates the popular dice game, Yahtzee,
the orgins of Yacht itself were once thought to be lost in the mists of
antiquity.

  No longer.

Through long research and a smattering of skillful detective work, a team of
researchers from Big Blue Disk has unearthed the roots of the dice game.

The key to the puzzle was found in a 13th Century Serbo-Croatian manuscript
which detailed the adventures of a Croatian trader in an unspecified Eastern
country. As the trader discusses the wonders of the Orient, he warns wayward
Christians from accepting the native's invitations to play "Yacht" -- the
trader lost half a camel caravan's worth of precious spices that way.

After reconstructing the Croatian trader's most likely route from the East,
our search resumed in what is modern day Afghanistan. Our luck was very good --
we had to elude only two Soviet armored regiments on our way into highlands.
There we consulted tribesmen who confirmed our suspicions: Yacht evolved out of
dice games that had been played in the Himalaya foothills for centuries. In
fact, the word "yacht" (rough translation: break out the fatted goat, boys) is
still used to describe a lucky turn of events.

The Program
-----------
You don't have to be a student of history to enjoy playing our version of
"Yacht." Just read the excellent instructions Edward Martin has included with
the program itself to learn the rules and objects of the game.

May the fatted goats in your region become very nervous.
