"Jet Force Gemini" Weapons FAQ By: RunecraftReborn ( runecraftreborn@hotmail.com) Version 1.0 ----------------- +Version History+ ----------------- -January 20, 2004 - Version0.4 This is the first draft of my FAQ. All of the weapons are included with their descriptions. -January 25, 2004 - Version0.7 I am starting to bang out the locations of the various weapons and have finished Juno and part of Lupus. -January 27, 2004 - Version1.0 I have finally finished the locations of all the weapons. This is my first complete draft for this FAQ. I hope that I don't have to make too many updates. ------------------- +Table of Contents+ ------------------- 1)Intro 2)Weapons 3)Legal Stuff ------- +Intro+ ------- This is my first weapons FAQ so it is fitting that it is on a game that depends very heavily on weapons. By no means is it necessary to collect every weapon in the game. This is for those people who like to complete and finish every aspect of a game, or who just can't seem to find that one weapon. Well, I hope that this FAQ helps you all with your games. --------- +Weapons+ --------- You may read this section and say, "Wait a minute! I found that weapon in a different location with Juno." The fact of the matter is that you can find some weapons in more than one spot. The crates that you get weapons out of can be used once by each character. Knowing this, these weapon locations are where I found the weapons with each character. Enjoy! Jet Force Pistol ---------------- -The standard issue pistol holds seven bullets per "clip." After seven consecutive shots, the gun must reload, or it will fire really weak bullets. Juno - Begins with the weapon. Vela - Begins with the weapon. Lupus - Begins with the weapon. Machine Gun ----------- -The machine gun can be fired rapidly, but it lacks in the way of accuracy. The machine gun is most effective against large groups of drones or large, slow moving drones. Juno -Goldwood -From the launch pad, go and cross the bridge and talk to Magnus. Follow the path and clear the village of all drones. Go through the life force door at the end of the village and cross the wooden bridge. Follow the path with the barrels until you hit an open area, and from that area take the left path, which leads to Magnus. Talk to Magnus who will give you the red key. Go back to the open area, follow the path up the hill to the red key door, and mercilessly kill the armor drone guarding the machine gun crate. Vela -Sekhmet -In the launching bay talk to the blue guy, Midge(just for the heck of it). Next, go up the ramp and enter the door to the left. You must then kill all of the drones in the next area. Don't worry though, because they are all soldier drones. Once all of the drones are dead, enter the life force door adjacent to the door that you entered from. Fight your way through the barricade drones and claim the machine gun from the crate. Lupus -Spawnship -Lupus doesn't technically start the game with the machine gun but it is available right from the beginning. The crate containing the machine gun is directly across from the starting point, so just run over and take it. Plasma Shotgun -------------- -The plasma shotgun can be charged up to five different energy levels by holding down the trigger for different lengths of time. Use the lower levels for weaker drones and the stronger levels for larger drones. Juno -S.S. Anubis -From the starting screen, turn and walk right until you see some stacked crates hidden around a corner. Climb the crates then run over and climb the two more levels until you are level with more storage crates. You will be right in front of the weapons crate holding the plasma shotgun. Vela -Sekhmet -Go up the ramp in the starting area and enter the door to the left. Next, kill all of the enemies in the area to enter the life force door adjacent to the red key door. It is the door opposite to the area where the machine gun is located. Then, head straight across the area and enter the door with the machine gun lock. Head in a straight line down the hall with the barrels and deflector drones, exterminating as you go. Once you make it past all of the drones, you will be in a large area with some mole-looking guy, and you will find the weapons crate holding the plasma shotgun in the corner diagonally to the left of the entrance. Lupus -Spawnship -Lupus' plasma shotgun is a freebie just like the machine gun. In fact, it is located in the weapon crate right next to the machine gun's, directly across from the starting point. Homing Missile Launcher ----------------------- -The homing missile launcher can lock onto drones. The missiles are accurate, but they are not as powerful as their counterparts, the tri-rockets. These should be used against larger drones with a lot of firepower, which you want to attack from a distance. Juno -Walkway -From the landing pad, follow the path and exterminate drones as you go. Next, enter the life force door at the end of the path. The crate with the homing missiles will be to the far right of the entrance door. Vela -Cerulean -Right from the launch pad you want to start exterminating drones. Make sure that you kill them all so that you can go through the second life force door, not the door with Fishface inside. This will put you in a large open area. Head across the area toward the group of boxes and the infantry weevil. Kill the drones then enter the tunnel that they were guarding. The tunnel leads to a cavern, and as soon as you enter you should turn left and follow the outer rim of the cavern. You should reach a shelf that you can jump up to with the crate holding the homing missile launcher. Lupus -Rith Essa -From the starting point, head across the river by way of the stone walkway. Head up the path until you hit the first bend. Then, jump and float across the waterfall to the ledge. Head into the room hidden behind the waterfall to find the crate holding the homing missile launcher. Tri-Rocket Launcher ------------------- -This weapon is the most powerful of all the guns. What it has in power, though, it lacks in accuracy. The aptly named tri-rocket launcher fires three spiraling rockets in a straight line. This means that the gun must be aimed at the enemy, unlike the homing missile launcher. This weapon is most efficient against very large and very powerful drones that you want to kill in one or two shots such as stag drones or weevil troopers. Juno -Tawfret -Starting at the launch pad, follow the path through each swamp area until you reach the graveyard with king Jeff. All that you have to do is talk to king Jeff and he will give you the tri-rocket launcher as well as an explanation of why the planet looks like it does. Vela -Cerulean -To get the tri-rocket launcher for Vela, you must trade for it. First, start by collecting the three bars of gold. The first bar is to the left of the launch pad when you are looking at it. The second bar is located in the wide open area on top of the drain grate to the left of the tunnel leading to the cavern. The third bar is located to the right of the entrance to the wide area along with the final drone that you must kill to open the life force door leading to Fishface. Once you have all three bars of gold and have opened the first life force door that you encounter, enter the life force door and talk to Fishface to get the tri-rocket launcher in return for the three bars of gold. Lupus -Rith Essa -Head across the river and up the path from the starting point. After entering the door at the top of the path you will be on a cliffside walkway. Make sure that you eliminate all drones on this walkway because at the end is a life force door. You may have to double back to finish off any soldier drones that sprint past you in the beginning. Go through the life force door and the crate holding the tri-rocket launcher will be at the bottom of the steps to the left. Sniper Rifle ------------ -The sniper rifle has the potential to be the most accurate of all the weapons. There is a built in zoom feature, which enables you to magnify up to ten times normal view. The sniper rifle only begins with ten rounds, but they are very powerful and can take out weaker drones in one shot. The sniper rifle is very useful in taking out stationary sniper drones perched in high, hard to reach areas. Juno -Tawfret -Follow the path through each of the swamp areas. Cross through the graveyard with king Jeff and over the wooden bridge. Next, follow the swamp path and pass by the island with Gimlet in it. You should come up to a fort with Floyd broken into pieces. Enter the room next to the waterfall. Inside is a drone holding a tribal hostage, so kill the drones and save the tribal. You will also see the crate holding the sniper rifle inside the room. Saving the tribal has no effect on whether you will get the sniper rifle or not, so if it is too much of a hassle, kill both the drone and the tribal. Vela -Ichor -Right off the bat you will be face to face with a group of deflector drones and a cyborg drone. Blow them away with the tri-rocket launcher and move on to the next area. Navigate between the first set of crates and turn left. Hurry and hop up on to the lower crate to your right and then up on the raised walkway. Make your way to the doorway on the right and enter it. Walk down the hall until you see a doorway on your left. Directly across the room you will see two crates and the one on the right holds the sniper rifle. Lupus -Tawfret -Follow the path through each of the swamp areas. *Flamethrower ------------- -The flamethrower is, in my opinion, a worthless weapon. It is only effective when you are very close to your enemy. When you hit your enemy it will burst into flames and run around in a frenzy. If the ignited drone runs into you, and it probably will do to your proximity at firing, it will injure you. This weapon is most effective against weak soldier drones. Juno -Spacestation -From the starting screen, hop down to the floor below you, but make sure that you do not touch your ship or you will leave the Spacestation and have to start over. Make an immediate right and head through the hole in the wall. Next, hop up onto the crate and up through the hole in the ceiling. Hop up through the ceiling for a second time. Finally, walk through the hole in the wall and enter the hole in the wall across the room. This will put you face to face with the crate holding the flamethrower. Vela -Spacestation -From the starting screen, hop down to the floor below you, but make sure that you do not touch your ship or you will leave the Spacestation and have to start over. Lupus -Spacestation -From the starting screen, hop down to the floor below you, but make sure that you do not touch your ship or you will leave the Spacestation and have to start over. Shocker ------- -The shocker is the only hand-held weapon in the game. It has a short range and is only used to incapacitate enemies. The shocker does not use ammo but it does have a use limit of thirty before it must recharge. This weapon should only be used if you want to toy with your enemy before you kill him. Juno -Spawnship -From the starting area, ride the elevator to the top and enter the door. You will come out on a walkway high above the ground, but with a lower walkway beneath it. Jump to the lower walkway. Enter the red key door opposite the door with the tribal on top of it. Pick off the two sniper drones in the pipes protruding from the wall while running along the path toward the yellow key door. Enter the yellow key door, which will put you in a room with a lava floor. Jump down and walk on the lava and enter the cylindrical building. Once you enter the building, you will be face to face with the crate holding the shocker. Vela -Spawnship -Take the elevator in the beginning area to the top and enter the door. Next drop off the walkway and jump into the pool on the floor. Swim through the underwater doorway. Kill the coward drones that rush you and enter the door at the opposite end of the room. This will put you in a room filled with boxes and drones. You must kill all of the drones in this room to make it past the life force door. Once you make it through the life force door, just walk straight across the room and you will see the crate holding the shocker. Lupus -Goldwood -From the launch pad, enter the next area and cross the bridge to enter the life force door on the other side. Follow the path and obliterate all drones in the village to open the life force door on the far side of the village. Enter the life force door, cross the wooden bridge, and enter the door on the opposite side. Next, follow the path and enter the door locked by the machine gun lock. Go down the steps and enter the village. Exterminate all of the drones in the village and enter the life force door at the end of the village. Follow the path until it forks and take the left fork. Use Lupus' ability to float and cross the chasm and enter the life force door. Make your way down the tunnel and stick to the left at the fork after the life force door. Once you are past the first fork, follow the tunnel to the right and enter the second life force door. Once through the door, head down the passage and take the first right, which will take you to the edge of a cliff. Jump and float across the floor the cliff directly across the room. Move through the pillars and down the path until you are looking out over a pool with platforms sticking out of it. There will be a life force door across the pool, and you must float to a platform with a tribal on it then to the door or you won't make it. Inside the door is the crate holding the shocker. Grenades -------- -Grenades are hand thrown, so they don't have very good range. What the grenades lack in range they make up in blast radius. They can be very dangerous because the explosions, which take place seconds after you throw them, hurt both the enemy and you. Grenades are most efficient against large groups of soldier drones or singular large drones. Juno -Tawfret -From the starting area, follow the path through each swamp area until you come to the graveyard area with king Jeff. Use either the homing missile launcher or the tri-rocket launcher to blast open the first tomb on the left. Enter the tomb and you will see the crate holding Juno's grenades. Vela -Sekhmet -Vela's grenades are probably the easiest weapons to get. The crate holding them is behind the launch pad. Just circumvent the pad until you see the crate. Lupus -Eschebone -Begin by killing the rhino drones that charge you while you cross the lava islands to the opposite side of the beginning area. Next, cross the lava pool by way of the islands(the bridge across the lava will collapse under you if you try to cross it). Once you cross the lava pool you will run into a big mouth with an even bigger tongue. Run up close to the tongue and float to the second platform sticking out of the lava. The platform contains the crate holding the grenades, which will be needed to enter the big drone mouth. *Shurikens ---------- -These hand-thrown weapons have the ability to home in on enemies. These are mid-range weapons without too much attack power. The major bonus to this weapon is the fact that you can retrieve them after you use them. They are most effective against weaker drones. Juno -Goldwood -In the area right after the landing pad, Juno should turn left and head through the yellow key door to the left of the hut with King Jeff in it. The doorway is located before you cross the river. Vela -Goldwood -In the area right after the landing pad, Juno should turn left and head through the yellow key door to the left of the hut with King Jeff in it. The doorway is located before you cross the river. Lupus -Goldwood -In the area right after the landing pad, Juno should turn left and head through the yellow key door to the left of the hut with King Jeff in it. The doorway is located before you cross the river. *Remote Mines ------------- -Remote mines are good for setting traps both in missions and in multiplayer mode. They work with proximity sensors, and when an enemy or you walk into the blast area BOOM! That is why you must always remember where you leave them. Juno -Tawfret -From the launching pad, follow the path through the swamp areas killing drones as you go. Cross the graveyard with King Jeff, the wooden bridge over the water, and the bog with Gimlet until you come across the old fort with Floyd in it. If you are facing the fort from the outside, you will want to climb up to the roof of the first building to your right. Once on top of the building jump down its chimney. This will put you in the catacombs underneath the fort. Follow the waterway to the left and past the bars blocking the Floyd piece. You will come across a pair of coffins. Blow them up with the tri-rocket launcher and enter the secret room with the crate holding the remote mines. Blow them up with the tri-rocket launcher and enter the secret room with the crate holding the remote mines. *Timed Mines ------------ -Timed mines are initially just proximity mines. They become timed mines when you hold down the "z" button for a certain length of time. (However long you want the fuse to be.) These, along with remote mines, are good for setting traps. They can effectively be used to shake drones off of your tail if you are retreating. Juno -WaterRuin -From the landing pad, make your way to the large island. Stay to the right as you circle the island (on land). You will run into the crate on the first corner you hit. Vela -WaterRuin -From the landing pad, make your way to the large island. Stay to the right as you circle the island (on land). You will run into the crate on the first corner you hit. Lupus -WaterRuin -From the landing pad, make your way to the large island. Stay to the right as you circle the island (on land). You will run into the crate on the first corner you hit. Cluster Bombs ------------- -Cluster bombs are the most powerful of the bombs. They explode after you throw them, and eject three smaller bombs after the initial explosion. These bombs are very useful in destroying large groups of drones. Juno -S.S. Anubis -From the starting area, run through the door on the left. Next, make your way through the area and exterminate all of the drones so that you can enter the life force door diagonally across from the first door. This will put you in a room with six cylinders and a load of flying drones. Make sure that you kill all of the drones in this room also, because of the life force door leading to the next area. You now want to ride the floating platform across the nonexistent midsection of the room, but don't cross before you kill all of the drones on the first side. Yes, there is another life force door. Now you should be in a room with a large ramp in the middle. Make your way to the top of the ramp by way of the sides. Then, turn and blast the glass and break it to go through the doorway contained behind it. Follow the path, while avoiding the cockroaches, until the end where a crate holds the cluster bombs. Make your way to the door on the left. Follow the hall to the door at the end, but watch out because a cyborg drone is waiting for you around a corner. Next, continue straight through the door ahead of you and disregard the drones on the other side of the glass. Entering the door will put you at the entry for another Floyd mission, but before you do the mission, empty the crate diagonally to your left and receive the cluster bombs. Lupus -Rith Essa -Make your way up the path and through the door at the top. Next, follow the winding path and kill all of the flying drones, sentry stag drones, and soldier drones. Don't leave any drones alive because at the end of the cliffside path is a life force door. After entering the door, head up the stairway to the right of the cliff with the three waterfalls. This will put you face to face with the home of Fernando and the crate holding the cluster bomb will be to your left. Flares ------ -Flares have no value as weapons. They are used to light dark areas in the game. If you throw flares at the wall they will stick and burn for a short period. You can also carry a lighted flare as you navigate the game. Juno -Tawfret -Follow the path through each of the swamp areas. Cross through the graveyard with king Jeff and over the wooden bridge. Next, follow the swamp path and pass by the island with Gimlet in it. You should come up to a fort with Floyd broken into pieces. Enter the building in the far-left rear of the camp and you will see the crate holding the flares. Directly across the room you will see two crates and the one on the left holds the flares. Lupus -Tawfret -Follow the path through each of the swamp areas. *Fish Food ---------- -This is obviously a joke that was put in the game by its creators. There is only one thing you can do with fish food, and that is feeding the fish. Juno -Goldwood -In the area directly after the landing pad, you should make your way to the partially hidden entryway to the right of the hut with King Jeff in it. The entryway is before you cross the river. The crate holding the fishfood will be across the pond and to your right. Vela -Goldwood -In the area directly after the landing pad, you should make your way to the partially hidden entryway to the right of the hut with King Jeff in it. The entryway is before you cross the river. The crate holding the fishfood will be across the pond and to your right. The entryway is before you cross the river. The crate holding the fishfood will be across the pond and to your right. The (*) represents the weapons that I found in the same spot for more than one character. ------------- +Legal Stuff+ ------------- 1) Copyright 2004 Joseph Hicks -This may be not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use.
