This guide is written with the idea of getting you through the game as easily as possible while obtaining all the achievements/trophies at the same time. I’ve wrote it for the 360 and PS3 versions of the game but other than differences relating to controls, the core game play should be mostly the same on other systems. You can use the search tags listed to the right of each section of the Table of Contents in your web browser's find menu (ctrl+F for PC) to jump to that specific section. PLEASE NOTE that because I'm writing this for both the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, I will be referring to achievements and trophies collectively as "AWARDS". This will save me some typing and I hope it won't be too confusing. The game is a linear action game in the same vein as the last Ben 10 retail game and is generally geared toward a younger audience with a few challenges on the boss fights. The majority of the awards will be unlocked during the course of normal play and anything else can be completed with the level select feature. I'd like to recommend that you save every chance you get. There is nothing too terribly hard but I’ll try to be as in-depth as possible. Step 1 - Play through the main game. Start by using Ben (human form) and get his 50 kills out of the way. Then, on each level you will want to focus on destroying every enemy and destructible object you can to collect kills and DNA points. There are 3 awards for destroying objects, 3 for DNA points and 3 for killing enemies. You need to pay extra attention to make sure you specifically destroy every car throughout the entire game for "Immobilized" and all the security cameras in the Amazon level for "Camera Shy". You will also want to collect all the Sumo Slammers from each level. I will call out the location of each slammer as we work our way through the levels, so by the end of the guide you should have them all. On the Final Battle level you will want to save all the civilians for "Savior". There are not that many but I have them listed in the guide with the rest of the stuff. In addition to the collectibles you can use the Swampfire method outlined in level 2 and under "100 Hit Combo" to get to 1,000,000 DNA points relatively quickly. Check the "100 Hit Combo" section again when you reach level 6 for an easy opportunity to obtain the 100 hits and the associated award. Once you finish the game for the first time, be sure to watch the entire credit roll for an award. Doing all the above will net you the majority of the awards. Step 2 - Go through and complete any section that you may have missed and mop up any of the remaining challenges. I have listed tips for each challenge under their respective awards in case you need additional help. If you did not use the Swampfire method on your first playthrough you will need to replay a couple of levels to get your million DNA and to fully max out all the aliens. The only other thing left to do is go for the 50 and 100 hit combos. Overall the game is not too difficult with the exception of the 100-hit combo. The average gamer should be able to complete the majority of the game within a single day of dedicated play. This makes it a perfect candidate for a weekend rental. Hope you have fun with the game and if you hated it, well maybe the guide will help make it less painful. This is my second walkthrough so if you like it you may also like to check out my other walkthrough for Toy Story 3 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Thanks for reading. =============================================================================== Controls (x02) =============================================================================== Controls are simple enough and taught via onscreen prompts as you play. The basics are below: Xbox 360 PS3 Action ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Press "A" X Jump Press "B" Circle Interact Press "X" Square Attack Press "Y" Triangle Block / Counter Attack Press "LB" L1 Center camera behind Ben Press "LT" L2 Pull up quick switch menu Press "RB" R1 Not used Press "RT" R2 Pull up special attack menu Press "RS" R3 Brings up menu to swap aliens during gameplay =============================================================================== Story Mode Walk Through (x03) =============================================================================== Just a quick note before we jump into the game, I have detailed all the "collectibles" in the game including Sumo Slammers (SS#), Cars (C#), Security Cameras (SC#) and Civilians (CIV#) they have been given the tags I just showed and were all numbered. This way if you only want collectibles you can use find (ctrl + F on PC) to skip from one to the next. Pay careful attention to the Sumo Slammers, cars and security cameras as they are directly linked to awards. I did not bother with destructible objects because you only need to destroy 500 things which is easy to have completed by level 4 if you destroy everything you see. Of course, you can always just replay the levels if something is missed or if you need to destroy objects, get more kills or DNA points. =============================================================================== Level 1 - Catacombs (x03a) =============================================================================== Start the game and you will see the opening cut scene. After that we are brought to the pre-mission screen where you can swap team members and upgrade aliens. For now we are going to leave everything on default. The game does a pretty good job of selecting a team for you so I never changed them during the course of my first playthrough. Go ahead and press the button to start. Since we are hunting for awards let's leave Ben as the playable character for now. Once we get our 50 kills with him, we can start playing with the aliens. Take a quick look around and then smash all the coffins and pots you see and run straight ahead. After a mini cut scene you will end up by a switch so go ahead and pull it to trigger 2 enemies. Just press the regular attack button and these guys will fall easily. Once they are down, 4 more will pop up and you will learn about combos. Go ahead and try it now. When all the enemies are gone the gate will open. Clear out the remaining pots and move on. You will get a tutorial on changing forms so go ahead and change to Swampfire since you will need to double jump. Hop up the 2 ledges and switch back to Ben. Quick note, when you switch to an alien, Ben takes his place in the quick change menu. So to switch back to Ben just select him from the icons, he will be where Swampfire was. Destroy all the objects and move on. You will be attacked by another group of enemies so take them all out with your regular attacks using Ben. Don't forget that you can block as well. If you did not get the Award for a 10 hit combo in the first fight you can get it here. Don't worry about it if you miss though because you'll have plenty of chances before the end of the game. Switch to Swampfire and jump up small step and then up to the exit that opened. Switch back to Ben. Hop over the lava and you will learn how to break down weaken walls. Switch to Humungosaur and punch down the wall. After a quick cut scene, you will automatically transform into Ultimate Humungosaur. He is immensely powerful and pretty much invincible so just start slaughtering the almost endless wave of guys that start attacking. Try out some of your special moves if you like, just hold the RT or R2 button and press the button that corresponds to the move you want to use. Once everyone is gone, you get a cut scene and 2 Awards unlocked! (Go Ultimate and Brawler) Destroy all the debris and coffins in the room. Award Unlocked! (Vandal). Now switch to Echo Echo and we will use his special move to make a copy of himself. Run to one of the columns hold R2 or RT and press the button that corresponds to the clone special move. The clone will press the switch Now go make a second clone on the other switch and then quickly run up the ramp on the left and jump across the two lowered platforms before the clones disappear. Once on the other side switch back to Ben. Kill the 3 guys that pop up and then destroy all the coffins. Switch back to Echo Echo and break the small vent to proceed. Run through the vent and you will learn about moving objects with Humungosaur. Switch to him and grab the box and place it on the plate in the floor which is just in the right corner of the room. The gate opens so switch to Ben and lets move on. Defeat the 3 guys and we will come to another puzzle room. After the brief scene pan the camera to the left side of the room and look for a vent on the bottom. Switch to Echo Echo and move through the vent and then press the switch on the other side to open the gate. Switch to Humungosaur and grab the bell shaped rock and push it all the way over and inside the same sized spot in the wall. The way forward opens so switch back to Ben and move on. You will now be taught how to guard and counter. Basically, when you see a green icon over an enemies head, tap the block button and you will avoid damage and get a counter hit on the enemy instead. This is the ONLY way to defeat enemies with shields later on so it is important to learn. Take out the bad guys and destroy all the pots and coffins. Near the gate you will see a crack in the wall so switch to Humungosaur and break open the wall. Now, pull the switch to open the gate and switch to Terraspin. There are 2 platforms in front of you and the one that is now blue is a fake that was revealed by the sunlight. You need to double jump and float to the real platform. So press jump and the press and HOLD jump while in the air to make it across. You will reach the first save point so use it. Right beside the save point is a crack in the wall so break it down and grab the goodies. When you turn around and come back out you will see another crack in the opposite wall you are now facing. Go ahead and break that open and follow the path around for your first Sumo Slammer (SS1). It is the blue glowing object and you can just break the coffin to reach it. Switch back to Ben. Move down the hall and defeat the 3 guys that pop up and then kill the next 3 to open the gate. Run around and collect the pots and coffins and then switch to Humungosaur and grab the box. Pull it onto the floor pressure plate behind you to raise the horse and a crank. Walk over to the crank and interact with it to open the gate and reveal the real platforms. Quickly, switch to Terraspin and jump across the real platforms while avoiding the fake blue ones. When you are almost across the ceiling will close and so make sure you know where the final real platform is before you jump. Then just leap to the ledge at the horse's neck and walk through. Switch to Ben defeat the 3 enemies and switch back to Terraspin. You will now learn how to use ramps to cross big gaps so go ahead and give it a try. Pull the switch to lower the platform and hop on. Quick warning, you have to do this next paragraph relatively quickly because the light sources will close after a while. Listen for the ticking sound to know when that is about to happen. At the top, pull the next switch to reveal the light so you know which platforms are real. Wait for the real one to make its way around, walk on and then ride it over to the next switch to open a portion of the ceiling. Ride back over to the other side and now use the next set of platforms to reach another switch. Don't forget you can double jump and float. Now pull this switch to open another light source. Make your way back to the first ledge and now take the third set of floating platforms. This will take you to one more switch so pull it to lower the cage. Wait for the one real platform to make its way around and then ride it to the ramp. Use the ramp to cross the gap and make it to the save point. Use it and switch to Swampfire. Now we are going to finish our 50 kills with Ben so we can get that Award out of the way. Use Swampfire's double jump to leap over the gap and spikes safely. Now we will be facing the mid-boss and a couple of minions. Here's what we are going to do, ONLY attack and kill the minions. They will keep respawning so this will make getting the remaining 50 kills a breeze. The best part is that eventually you will get overwhelmed and die. No big deal though because we will restart right back at that last save point and can just keep killing minions until we see Award Unlocked! (Ultimatrix Bearer). Once you get your 50 kills, which will only take a minute or two if you've been using Ben so far like I told you too, go ahead and let yourself get killed one more time. With that out of the way we won't have to use Ben anymore for the rest of the game. Now back at the save point, press the start button and go down to "Upgrade Forms". This will pop up the upgrade menu so select Humungosaur and max out his strength, speed and defense which can be found under "Attributes". If you still have some DNA points left go ahead and upgrade his "Specials" too. Now exit out of the upgrade screen and Award Unlocked! (Power Up and Investor). Head back to the boss and this time switch to Humungosaur. Now that he has been powered up, this fight should be a breeze. Focus on the boss and use your regular attacks and toss in a special move or two (I like either the left or top attack) and the boss goes down. Don't forget to block if needed. Switch to Swampfire and pan the camera to the right. You will see a glowing red object. Jump over the gap and pick it up and get the next Sumo Slammer (SS2). Break all the pots and coffins and then move on. Switch to Echo Echo and use his clone ability on each of the green buttons to open the gate. In the next puzzle room pull the lever right in front of you to lower the platform on the left. Switch to Terraspin and jump up and then jump and float over the fake floor. Hop up to the next ledge and pull the lever. Now work your way over the next two platforms and head to the exit. You will now be introduced to the Spartan enemy and have to fight a couple of them. Afterward, you will enter another puzzle room. Before doing anything, head downstairs and turn 180 to see a glowing yellow object. Walk through the opening and pick it up for the final Sumo Slammer (SS3) of this level. Award Unlocked! (The Catacombs Sumo Slammer!) Head back upstairs and switch to Echo Echo and look for a vent on the left side of the room. Move through the vent and pull the level. Switch to Humungosaur and pull the stone onto the wooden lift. Head back upstairs and turn the crank to raise the stone. Switch to Terraspin and float over to the stone. Switch back to Humungosaur, kill the bad guys and turn the crank on this side to bring the stone all the way up. Grab the stone and place it into the hole in the wall to advance. Another save point is revealed so use it and switch to Swampfire. Break the coffins and pots and use double jump to leap over the fake portions of the stairs. Get ready for the first end of level boss fight. After the cut scene, run to the right and position yourself behind the rock at the end of the red laser. Now kill off the 4 bad guys with whoever you like and then switch to Humungosaur. Grab the stone and push it all the wall into the base of the platform that the boss is standing on. This will lower one of his shield pillars and open a path to the left. If at any time during this boss fight, you take more than half your life in damage, run around and smash some pots to refill the meter. Also, once again I will remind you that block is your friend. Switch to Swampfire and double jump across the new platform and quickly move behind the next stone that needs to be pushed. Once the enemies are defeated, switch to Humungosaur and run in front of the stone and clear the path of debris then you will be able to push it into place. Once again, this will open the path to the left. Switch to Swampfire and make your way over to the third stone. Once the bad guys are dead, switch to Echo Echo and run up to the base of the platform that the boss is standing on to find two green switches. Use your clone ability to press then and lower the gate. Switch back to Humungosaur and push the final piece into place. The boss will now jump down to fight you by himself. He will split off into 4 clones, one of which is the real thing. The clones themselves go down in a couple of hits while attacking the real deal will decrease the boss's life bar. He will respawn his clones after a bit so just keep pressing the attack and eventually his life bar will be depleted. Again, I like the top and left special attacks with some regular punches thrown in for good measure. Be sure to grab any health power ups by destroying the surrounding pots if you need to. Once he goes down you will get a cut scene and Award unlocked! (E-Knocked Out!) =============================================================================== Level 2 - Eiffel Tower (x03b) =============================================================================== Let me just say a quick note for beginner players, if at any point you notice the game is becoming a bit too hard, make sure that you have been upgrading your alien's attributes. You can do this at anytime by pressing the start button and choosing "Upgrade Forms" from the menu. Then select the alien you are using and spend your DNA points to make them stronger, faster or tougher. A maxed out alien will serve you much better than a low level one will. If you really get in a pinch and don't have any more DNA points to spend on upgrades, you can always replay any level you have completed and then re-attempt the one you are having trouble with. I personally did my attributes first and then upgraded my specials, but it's your call. Right off the bat, spin the camera around 180 degrees and you will see a blue glowing object which is the first Sumo Slammer (SS4) of this level. Go over and grab it and destroy the 2 benches nearby. Head to the back wall near the water and you will be prompted to change into Waterhazard. Do so and jump up to the pipe and shimmy your way across. Then cross the second one the same way. Now on the back wall you will see an open window that you can jump to. While hanging you will see another open window to the left. Jump over to it and grab that window ledge next. Then continue to make your way across the next 2 ledges and you will come to a small platform that you can climb up. Once on top you will see another open window above you and to the left. Leap to it to grab it and continue on to the next couple of windows. Once you make it to the 2 large windows then you are safe to drop down. Shimmy across the next pipe and move up the stairs. Kill the 3 guys that pop up and then use Waterhazard to shoot the water symbol on the switch which can be seen on the other side of the gate. Destroy all the benches, plants, crates, barrels and dumpsters before moving on. Now, switch to Swampfire and shoot the green gas coming out of the pipe which will blow a hole in the wall and drop a toxic spill on the ground. Switch to NRG to walk through the spill. Kill all the guys that pop up and move through the doorway that just opened up. You will be introduced to Snipers at this point. First, move to the left and melt the pole with NRG like the girl tells you too. Then head to the left and destroy the truck and toxic barrels. I like to use Swampfire's fireball attack for this but go with whatever makes you happy. The gates will open and a lone enemy will run down any attack. He's nothing special so just kill him and move on up the stairs. By the time you reach the top more enemies will have spawned so take them down however you like. On the right side of the area you will see some pipes on the wall. Using Swampfire, leap up to the first one and grab it. Now continue along these ledges to make it to the upper patio on the right side of this wall. Jump to the patio and head inside the building where you will be introduced to a new ranged enemy. Kill him off and then take out the next couple that pop up. Head through the open doorway, down the stairs and to the save point. Be sure to use it, destroy the suits of armor and continue downstairs. Now this paragraph is OPTIONAL but it will help you immensely if you choose to follow these instructions. This is a good opportunity to get a 50 hit combo and 1,000,000 DNA points. We will be using Swampfire for this so upgrade his speed attribute as much as you can. First you will see a stairway directly to your right. Walk over and destroy the suit of armor and the plant. You will now be attacked by a larger group of enemies but they still should not pose too much of a threat. What we want to do is wait a second until the first couple of guys comes around the corner of the steps. Now attack the first one with regular attacks. Then go for the second guy and launch a special attack by holding RT or R2 and pressing "Y" or "Triangle". This will add about 10 or so hits to your combo. Now aim for a third guy with some more regular attacks and that will put you close to the front of the stairs. Launch another special attack on a fourth guy and if you are lucky it will also hit a fifth guy putting your total at or near 30. You can take out another guy with regular attacks and then block. Once anyone hits your block, attack again with regular attacks and your meter should be full just enough to unleash another special attack which will put you at or just a couple of hits away from 50. Block and then attack anyone left to just edge over the mark. The best part about this location is there are enough enemies to actually get the hits and if you mess up you can just finish off the remaining guys, melt the teeth, walk in the toxic spill with anyone other than NRG and die. You restart right there and can then try again as often as you like. As a bonus, while you are practicing your big combos you get to keep the combat DNA you earn. It does not go away after you die so this is a quick way to 1,000,000 too. Best I did at this location was 76 hits and over 200,000 points for 1 one fight. Not bad for a couple of minutes. Multiply that times 5 more fights at this location and you are done collecting DNA points for the rest of the game after maybe fifteen minutes. If you do this now you will unlock the awards for 10, 25 and 50 Hit Combo and Deep Pockets. Once you've got the combo down or have all the DNA points you want, just continue on and complete the level to save your stuff. Now we are ready to move on so make sure that all the enemies are dead. Now we can run around and destroy all the suits of armor and plants, etc.. in the area. Afterward switch to NRG and melt the snakes teeth to enter and pull the lever inside. This will open canisters on the stair railings. Walk back outside and switch to Swampfire and shoot the two green gas plumes. Head up the first set of stairs and melt the statue head on the left. Now head up the set of stairs on the right and melt the 2 green swords. Switch to Waterhazard and shoot the water symbol with his water spray which will open another green gas container. Switch to Swampfire and head to the stairs to ignite the gas with a fireball. Run over to the stairs on the left side now and you will see a puzzle that has another water symbol. Switch to Waterhazard and shoot the first target which activates a second target so shoot it next. The first and third pop up next, so shoot the third target. Now shoot the second target again and finally the fourth target to open the gate. Shoot the water symbol inside and now switch to Swampfire to ignite the gas one more time to complete this room. Switch to NRG to melt the lock and exit the room. Walk up the stairs and melt the statue heads on each side to open the gate. Move inside and look to the right for another thing to melt. Switch to Waterhazard and shoot the water symbol. Move to the left and jump to the ledge and pull yourself up. Shoot the water symbol you find here and platforms will now be in place for you to cross the gap. Jump across and on the other side we need to switch to NRG to walk through the toxic spill while going downstairs. Quickly make your way across the wooden floors before the collapse. You will come to a save point so use it and move on. Punch through the crack in the wall and you will come to a mid-boss fight with a skinny guy and a fat guy. I like to use the Swampfire combo I mentioned a little earlier to take these guys out. To paraphrase, start with regular attacks and then launch a special attack, and repeat. Take out the skinny guy first since he uses ranged attacks. They share a life bar so if you have been upgrading your alien regularly then you should not have any problems defeating these guys. If at any time you get close to dying, just run around and smash stuff to get some health back and continue the fight. After they are both down you will get a short cut scene and then be standing in front of a broken display case. Switch to Swampfire and go to the back wall and hop on top of the stone platform. Then jump up to reach the ledge above you. Jump straight up to work your way up the ledges and finally you will reach the top balcony. Walk down the hallway and up the stairs to face a new enemy with a shield. For the rest of the game these shield guys will now be in your face. The ONLY way to attack them at first is with a counter attack. To do a counter attack, wait for an icon to appear over their head and then press the block button. This will destroy the shield and leave them open to any attack you like from that point on. Watch the cut scene and move on. You will be back outside so head to the left along the ground level and follow the path around until you see the next Sumo Slammer (SS5) which is the red glowing object. Defeat the 3 enemies and head back to the door you just came through. There will be a pipe on the wall opposite the door that you can reach. Leap up to it and then continue to the rooftop. Now jump onto the power box and then onto the next rooftop. Enter the doorway on the right and head up the stairs. Turn on the switch, then ignite the green gas to blow open the wall. Switch to NRG and pull the lever which will lower a shipping container. Drop down to the next roof and melt the green door and the cable connection and the shipping container will drop below. Switch to Swampfire and move out on top of the container and head to the platform on your right. Use double jump to reach the rooftop above and fight some more guys with shields. There will also be a sniper shooting at you so ignite the green gas to blow up the tanks and take him out. Switch to Waterhazard and spray the water symbol to open the doorway into the building. There will be a save point, so use it and then switch to NRG. You will need to make your way through a burning building, jumping gaps and avoiding ceiling cave-ins. As you move through the flames you will get to a point where you make a small bridge by punching the fire escape. As you are walking from one house to the next you can see the yellow glowing object in the back right corner of the very first room in the new building. This is another Sumo Slammer (SS6) and once you grab it, you will get an award unlocked! (Eiffel Tower Sumo Slammer!) A portion of the roof will collapse as you get close but just walk around it to claim your prize. Punch the crack in the wall to make your escape. After the cut scene you will immediately go into a quick time event. First, when the prompts come on screen, press the button for Swampfire. Then on the next set of prompts go with NRG. Another short scene and you will be on the Eiffel Tower as your ultimate version. Kill all the minions with regular attacks and when they are all gone, stand in front of the boss and keep using your special attack that launches fireballs. Block any incoming attacks and keep up the assault. You also may need to break free of a net from time to time. You can always go destroy the tower supports if you need health. He actually goes down pretty quick. You will then enter another quick time event so just follow the couple of on screen button prompts and victory is yours. Awards unlocked! (Stinky Savior and Torn Asunder) =============================================================================== Level 3 - Devil's Tower (x03c) =============================================================================== Start the level by moving forward and you will be attacked by a couple of enemies. The bridge will be blown up so destroy any benches, trash cans, etc.. then move to the bridge. Switch to Spidermonkey and use the grapple points to swing across. You will need to jump from one grapple point to the platform and then from the second grapple point to the other side of the bridge. Once you look to the right and you will see two barrels on a lower ledge. Drop down and destroy the barrels and grab the blue glowing object. This is another Sumo Slammer (SS7). Hop back up and continue on. Jump across the three rock platforms to the other side. Switch to Humungosaur, grab the mine cart and pull it to the wooden platform. Go interact with the crank on the side to raise the mine cart to the top. Walk up the ramp and grab the cart. Drag it over to the glowing portion of the tracks by the little shack. Then interact with the switch to send it through the wall and follow it down. You will come to a fork so take the left path and switch to Spidermonkey. At the end you will be able to grab a switch with your tail which will open the path on the right. Return to the fork and continue ahead. Jump the gap and fight some guys. There will be a sniper shooting you so switch to Spidermonkey and grapple the glowing spot above him. Then pull down the beams to kill him. A couple more guys will pop up so take them out however you choose. Break any objects you see and switch to Humungosaur. Turn the crank by the water wheel to open the gate. Go down the ramp, jump the gap and you will see a save point. Use it and move inside the building. Time to fight a couple of enemies but they are not a problem at this point. You will now learn how to use your drill in a hole manipulate objects. Switch to Armodrillo and move to the hole. Press and hold the interact button to rotate a portion of the water channel into place. Right after this a door will open and you can go downstairs. When you get to the bottom you will fight some guys. Take them out and before moving on face the stairs you just came down. To the right of them will be a small trail along the side of the mountain. Run along the mountain side to the back behind the stairs and you will see a wooden wall. Break through the wooden wall for the red glowing object, which is another Sumo Slammer (SS8). Then continue on through the exit. There will be a short cut scene and you will now have to run downhill while being followed by a large boulder. The goal here is to make it to each platform and take a quick breather while the boulder passes. The problem comes from the fact that the platforms break after a second or two so you've got to time it just right and then get back to running downhill. Next you need to jump a gap in front of you and then there will be another ledge on the left to let the boulder pass. Now quickly get back on the path and continue down and there will be another ledge on the left. Time it once again to let a boulder pass and get off the ledge before it breaks and continue down the hill. Now jump the last gap and keep running to end this section. Follow the path forward and you will come to a grapple point. On this section you need to swing from one grapple point to the next and then jump to safety. Just hold the button to swing. Once you land you will be attacked by a group of guys. This will prompt a transformation into Ultimate Spidermonkey. Destroy all the guys and you will see a sniper off to the side. Go punch the pole and it will crash down on top of him. Now pan the camera around and you will see some stairs that you need to climb up. Instead of going up the stairs just yet, go down the small walkway just to the right of them. In the back you will find a wooden wall that you can break for the yellow glowing object. This is the last Sumo Slammer (SS9) of this level. Award unlocked! (Devil's Tower Sumo Slammer!). Now go up the stairs. Once at the top you will find a hole, so switch to Armodrillo to interact with it. Now switch to Spidermonkey and use the grapple point on your left to cross the gap. Follow the path around and switch to Humungosaur. Rotate the red wheel to open the way forward. Switch back to Spidermonkey, cross the gap again with you grapple and go back downstairs. Jump the gap at the bottom and you will find a save point on the left. Use it and move to the right. Ride the carts up to the top and jump to the ledge. Go around the corner and you will come to a large gap. Using Spidermonkey you can swing from point to point to get across. Go around the corner and you will come to the mid-boss. After a cut scene switch to whomever you like (I went with Swampfire) and start using regular and special attack combos. There is a laser that will keep shooting you but it won't have time to do any real damage if you just keep attacking the boss. If you need to, don't forget to destroy the crates lying around to get your life back. Once he is dead, the door opens and you can walk up the path. There will be a short cut scene and you will be inside the tower now. Move down the hall and fight the guys that pop up. Once they are all dead there will be a puzzle the right. Switch to Armodrillo and we are going to be drilling the holes just enough to change the positions on the dial ONCE. So this will be a real quick drill to start them spinning and then STOP. You don't want to make a full rotation. The goal is to have the blue lights line up on the right and the yellow lights line up on the left. So use the following order: Drill the middle hole one click. Drill the right hole one click. Drill the left hole one click. This will complete the puzzle and open the door to continue. Follow the hallway around to the next room. On the right there will be a grapple point so switch to Spidermonkey and use it to reach the second level. On the second level walk forward a bit and flip the switch to raise the stairs. Now go to the left side of the second floor to find another grapple point. Use it to reach the third floor and once you land switch to Humungosaur. Walk to the exposed cable and interact with it to pull the elevator up. The robot will press a button to extend a bridge so just follow him across. move down the hallway and defeat the enemies that pop up. Continue on until you reach a fork and then follow the robot to the left. In the next room switch to Humungosaur and flip the switch to raise a battery. Grab the battery and pull it into the floor panel that lit up. You have to stay within the tracks on the floor. Once you get it in the right spot the robot will come over and activate it. Repeat this procedure two more times for the next 2 floor panels. Now for the final one, switch to Spidermonkey and look for the grapple point on the wall. Attach to it and pull it out. Now switch back to Humungosaur and point the fourth battery into place. Walk over to the switch beside the robot and press it to open the door and exit. Move down the corridor and you will come a fork with a save point on the left. Use it and then continue forward to the boss fight. To defeat the boss, Switch to Humungosaur, block while getting close and pound on him a bit and he will fly away to the front corner. Run to the back and flip the switch to raise 2 boxes. Pull the left box to the left slot. Another switch will rise beside it so go ahead and press it to have the crane pick up the box and damage the boss. Now take the right box to the right slot. Be sure to block the boss's attacks as needed, especially his red laser attack. Anyway, another switch rises so press it for some more damage. This will open the hole in the middle so switch to Armodrillo and drill the hole until the middle platform is below the laser field. You can stop drilling to block as needed. The boss will now be forced to come back to you so just pound on him until he is toast. You can use the crates to get life back during the fight if you need to. Award unlocked! (Hunter Has Become the Hunted). =============================================================================== Level 4 - Great Wall (x03d) =============================================================================== You start this level in a fight so switch to whoever you like (again I went with Swampfire) and take out the three guys. Wait for the platform to lower, then double jump to it, hang from the edge and pull yourself up. Continue on and you will have a short scene and be told to switch to Big Chill. During the scene you should have noticed the blue glowing object at the top of the first air current. Jump and glide to the first current and then just sit there and let it blow you up to the top. This is the first Sumo Slammer (SS10) for this level. Now float to the flat ground to move on. Glide into the next current and to the next portion of the walkway. Switch to Ampfibian and move to the floor panel. Press and hold the interact button to charge it up. Once it is fully charged, quickly open your special attacks menu and launch energy blasts to hit the target inside the mouth. Go down the trail to fight some guys and then use Swampfire. Walk up the stairs and go to the edge to use fireballs to burn the vines. This will raise 3 platforms on your right. Switch to Big Chill and glide across all of them. Walk down the hill and through the doorway. Fight the enemies that pop up and then burn the vines in the back. Switch to Big Chill to put out the fire and then switch to Ampfibian to charge the floor panel. Once again use energy blasts to destroy the target inside the open mouth. You will now come to a save point so use it and move along. Fight some guys and use Ampfibian to power up the floor panel. Go through the only open door, kill a couple of guys and then head through the next door. You will come to a single enemy with a shield so just wait for the icon to appear over his head and press the block button to break the shield. Destroy any pots or other objects along the way. More guys pop up and after they are gone use Swampfire to ignite the green gas. Switch to Ampfibian and charge the floor panel inside. Switch to Big Chill and head outside to put out the fires and move on. You will go up two roofs and find some vines on the right. Burn them with Swampfire, switch to Big Chill to put out the fire and glide inside the hole you just made. Switch to Ampfibian to charge the floor panel and then shoot the target to blow up the fan. Switch to Big Chill to float up to the top and then switch back to Ampfibian to charge the next floor panel. This will power the first tower and allow you to move on. Kill the guy that pops up and follow the trail. Kill some more guys to be back inside the generator room. Power the same floor panel again to open the next door. Fight some guys along the way and on the other end of this new trail you will come to a cliff edge. Switch to Big Chill and glide to the platform below. Then glide to the next and finally back to flat ground. Work your way up the hill and switch to Swampfire to burn the vines. Switch to Big Chill to put out the fires and finally switch to Ampfibian to power up the floor panel. Quickly switch to Big Chill and run over and grab the platform that just lowered. Ride it to the top and then hop over to the other side. Switch to Swampfire and burn the vines on the ground in back. Now on the left you will see a small torch light structure. Double jump on top of it and then double jump to the top of the platform beside it. Pull the lever to open the first set of doors and drop back down. Switch to Ampfibian and power the floor panel to partially raise the tower. Quickly switch to Swampfire and double jump to the first ledge of the tower. Pull yourself up and double jump to the second ledge of the tower. Now jump to the high platform on the right and flip the level to open the second set of doors. Head back down to the floor panel and charge it up again to completely raise the tower. Now use the floor panel in the bottom of the tower to max out the power. Switch to Big Chill and make your way across the platforms in the water. Fight the guys that pop up and the door back to the generator room will open. Switch to Ampfibian and power the floor panel a third time. This will reveal a stone face that will blow you up and out through the roof. Switch to Big Chill and ride the current through the ceiling and land on the rooftop. Before going down to the exit, pan the camera around and you will see a save point and a glowing red object in the background. Grab the Sumo Slammer (SS11) and don't forget to save. Now go down to the next level. This will trigger the next mid-boss fight. First thing to do is press one of the button prompts that pop up. Then a bunch of minions will spring to life. While you are fighting the minions the boss will hang in the back and attack with fireballs but you can block them. When you kill the 6 minions, another quick time event pops up so choose whichever prompt you like. Now more minions will rise, so defeat them like you did the others. Another quick time event but you only have 1 choice this time. Now the boss will call more minions and you will change into Ultimate Big Chill. Decimate the squad of guys with regular or special attacks (I like the area attack spell myself) and turn your attention back to the boss for the final quick time sequence. Award unlocked! (Stone Cold). Move down the stairs and follow the trail. You will come to a floor panel so switch to Ampfibian and charge it up. Quickly switch to Big Chill, grab hold of the ledge that came down and ride it back up. At top is another floor panel so switch to Ampfibian to charge it. Drop down and go through the open door. Kill the guys in the next room and charge this floor panel too. Go through the next door and burn the vines with Swampfire. Charge this floor panel and enter the next door. Defeat the guys that pop up and once again charge the floor panel. Burn the vines, put out any fires that are in your way and charge the floor panel. This will open the wall in front of you and expose a switch. Use your energy blasts to destroy it and create a ramp. Up the ramp you will find another floor panel, so activate it and watch the short cut scene. Did you notice the yellow glowing object on top of the arch? Switch to Big Chill and glide to the top of the nearby platform. Now double jump to reach the first ledge and then keep jumping along the ledges to reach the top of the arch on the right. Run along the top of the arch to collect the Sumo Slammer (SS12). Award unlocked! (Great Wall of China Sumo Slammer!) Switch to Swampfire and burn the vines that cover the circular opening in the background. Switch back to Big Chill and glide onto the platform below. When you land switch to Ampfibian to charge the floor plate and lower the fan. Now switch back to Big Chill and work your way along the tops of the platforms using the fans to glide from one to the next. Ride the current to the top before moving forward. You will need to burn some vines and then you can continue gliding. Once back on solid ground make your way around the corner and you will come to a save point. Use it, jump the gap and enter the room for the boss fight. To defeat the boss, start by blocking its attack. Then use Ampfibian to charge the middle floor panel. Quickly block and then run forward and switch to Big Chill. Freeze the dragon and then switch to Swampfire and shoot the head with fireballs. Repeat 2 more times but using the floor panel that is in front of the hole the dragon pops his head out of. Now the dragon will start flying overhead and you will notice signs on the 4 corners of the ground. Switch to Ampfibian and cross the lava rocks to the sign that lights up and shoot it with electricity to fry the dragon. Repeat until it dies. Award unlocked! (Great Walls of Fire). =============================================================================== Level 5 - Tokyo Nights (x03e) =============================================================================== Well we are starting the second half of the game and it will start to get a little harder but nothing becomes impossible. Right away, if you still need the award for destroying 500 objects then take out all the AC units on these rooftops. When you are ready, go ahead and move forward to fight some ninjas. Once they are dead, switch to Armodrillo and drill the hole. Then switch to Spidermonkey and use the 2 grapple points to finish crossing the gap. Make your way to the metal grate at the top of the scaffold and switch to NRG. Melt the cable connection and leap to the new opening below. Defeat some more ninjas and move through the next doorway. You will need to leap between buildings and aim for the scaffold across the way. work your way up to the top left side to reach the rooftop. Go down the ramp and use the grapple point to reach the scaffold across this gap. Drop down and go around the corner of the building. You will see more yellow scaffold with a handrail this time. Jump over to it and go down the hole in the walkway. Follow the lower walkway around and you will see a blue glowing object. Yep, it's another Sumo Slammer (SS13). Work your way back up to the hole you just fell through and go around this level. Climb up the side to the top. Go over to the caged device and use the grapple point. Switch to Armodrillo and drill the hole. This will rotate the crane and open another hole. Use an alien with a double jump to hop up and then change back and drill that one too. This
will cause the magnet to move along the track and it will pick up the shipping container on the other side. Drill the hole again to move the container out of the way. Now drop down and run around the edge of the building to enter the new doorway. Fight some more ninjas and go through the hallway to reach a save point. Use it and move on. You will enter a room with some guys to fight. Once they are all dead, drill the hole to open the door. Then drill the hole on the new platform to ride down the track. Go outside and attach yourself to the yellow scaffold against the wall. Drop down to the bottom ledge and make your way to the right to see a yellow glowing object. Surprise, you've found another Sumo Slammer (SS14). Now make your way back up to the top and jump across the gap in the scaffold to reach the platform on your right. Drill the hole to open the door. Then use the grapple point and pull the lever to align the track. Head back over to the platform on the track and drill the hole again to finally reach the bottom. Follow the trail, fight more ninjas and drill yet another hole. Switch to Spidermonkey and use the grapple point to cross the first gap. Now double jump over the next and you will reach a gate. Melt it with NRG to continue. Drill the hole to rotate the crank and move to the next rooftop. Use NRG to cross the toxic spill and flip the lever unharmed. Now walk over and drill the new hole. (I know, again!) Double jump to the top of the magnet with someone and then switch back and drill this hole. Punch through the glass and enter the building. Fight some ninjas to open the door. Down the steps is the next save point so use it and continue to the mid-boss. This is a relatively simple quick time event. There are only 3 sections so just choose whatever prompt that pops up on screen. You will change into Ultimate Spidermonkey. Just walk up to Zombozo, hold the special attack trigger and keep using the area attack spin move over and over. No one will even hit you. Award unlocked! (Funny Business). You will now find yourself on the ground level and will be looking at your first set of destructible cars (C1). There are 2 white cars on the right and one red truck on the left. Destroy them all. From this point on be sure to destroy any car you see. Continue onto the street and you will have to fight a group of ninjas. Once that is done (or during) take out the next set of destructible cars (C2). There are 2 white cars on your right, a red truck and a white car of the left and a red truck in the far right corner at the end of the road. Now look for a grapple point up near a billboard on the left side of the street. Swing up to the left for a hole to drill. You can use NRG to walk through the fire and into the gate you opened. Walk through the alley and make your way up to the rooftop. You will find a vent on the right hand side so switch to Spidermonkey and make your way inside. Now this will either be simple or the most frustrating part of the game. The final portion has to happen very quickly or you will be redoing the entire room again. If you have to redo it, be sure to recollect the collectible and destroy the 4 cars again. The setup is not too bad. You'll get a message about needing to clear a path to get across. Before doing anything walk off the edge in front of you and drop down to the ground floor. Now up ahead on your right is the glowing red object. You have collected this levels final Sumo Slammer (SS15). Award unlocked! (Tokyo Nights Sumo Slammer!) Next up is a set of destructible cars (C3), there are 2 white cars on a lift and 2 white cars on the ground. Destroy them all. Make your way to the back of the room and then on the left you will see some yellow scaffold. Make your way to the top and stand on the platform. Switch to NRG and melt the cable connection. Drop back down and head back toward the start. About halfway there you need to switch to Spidermonkey and use the grapple point to pull the lever. Then switch to Armodrillo to drill the hole. Switch back to Spidermonkey and make your way back to the start. Once back on the starting platform you can look out and see all the grapple points. There are 4 total. This part sucks - way in the distance you will see a shipping container. The drill hole in front of you will raise this container. You then have a VERY limited amount of time to drill the hole, swing across all the grapple points and make it inside the vent before getting crushed. This was the hardest part of the game for me and took a couple of tries before I was finally able to make it across fast enough. Keep trying and you will get it eventually. There is no room for mistakes. The only advice I can really give is that you want short swings on each grapple point and you want to release quick so it will launch you further. Keep that up the whole time and then dash for that vent hole. I was crushed at the end more times then I'd like to admit. Once you are successful you should feel accomplished knowing that you are going to be skilled enough to complete the rest of the game. You might still die but nothing else is this bad, I'd almost call this part broken. Anyway, enough complaints. Move through the vent and you will drop into a storeroom which conveniently has a store point. Save your game and walk down the hall to the boss fight. First thing you need to know is that you are going to have to move quickly. Right out of the gate you need to run forward to the drill hole and jump the red laser beam. Then quickly change to Armodrillo and drill the hole to raise 3 platforms. When the laser starts to sweep back to the right it will cut the supports of the platforms and leave you with a toxic spill to hop through. Switch to NRG and get onto the first platform, then quickly get to the second, the third and finally onto the next platform. Do all of this before getting shot with the multi red laser. Now as NRG you need to avoid the claw by moving left or right. After 3 drops it will wind up and smash the wall. This is your chance to melt the red cover. Now switch to Spidermonkey and avoid the 3 ground smashes and then double jump the wall slam. Quickly grapple the wires inside the red box and yank them out. Good work this is a checkpoint. Now grapple over the gap to the saw blade on the right. Repeat the same technique that we just used on the claw, for the saw blade. Once you rip out the wires, a part of the ceiling will fall down for you to cross. Block the red laser and switch to Armodrillo at the hole. Block the next laser and drill the hole to pull yourself close to the green button. Stand a little off to the side at a diagonal and switch to NRG. The claw should not be able to hit you as it comes smashing straight down. Now just melt the green button until it is finished. Whew! This boss made me forget I was playing a "kids" game. Award unlocked! (Rescued at What Cost?). =============================================================================== Level 6 - Amazon (x03f) =============================================================================== You start the level and will need to immediately switch to Big Chill and use him to glide to the first platform. Run inside the fight the couple of guys. Look up along the ceiling and you will see the first security camera (SC1) above the hallway used to proceed. Be sure and destroy it. Now go up the hall and fight the guy that pops up. Moving on you will need to use Ampfibian to charge the floor panel in front of the door to open it. After the next hall you will come to a room with some toxic drums. Before blowing up the drums, look up at the top left corner and destroy the security camera. (SC2) Then shoot an energy blast at the barrels to destroy them and the door. Move outside switch to Big Chill. Find the edge and glide down to the next building while trying to avoid the sniper. It is no big deal if he hits you so don't really worry about it. When you land go inside the door and fight the bad guys. Climb the platforms that lead to the sniper and go kill him. On the way there you may have noticed another security camera (SC3). Be sure to destroy it on your way out. Continue back down the hall and then through the hall on the lower level to reach another locked door. You will need to switch to Echo Echo and use one of his clones to press the switch on the right while you run through the door. Go through the door and you will reach another area that requires shooting at the toxic drums. This time the security camera (SC4) is on the upper right. Destroy it and then the drums. This will blow open the door to the outside. Switch to Big Chill and glide down to the next building. Once inside, Kill the enemies and head up to the sniper and kill him too. Once again you will have passed a security camera (SC5) on the way to this sniper. Destroy it and move on. You will get attacked in the hall and then the door will open. In this room is a blast furnace. Before dealing with that though, walk down the stairs and head outside. There you will find a glowing blue object which is the first Sumo Slammer (SS16) of this level. Head back up the stairs. At the blast furnace, use Big chill to freeze the fires and walk to the floor panel in the middle. Switch to Ampfibian and charge the floor panel, then continue up the hall. In the next room you will find more barrels yet again. The security camera (SC6) is back on the upper left. Destroy it and the drums to open the door to the outside. Switch to Big Chill again and glide down to the next platform. Blow up the barrels to open the door and head inside and you will find the next security camera (SC7) on the ceiling right in front of you. Destroy it. Award unlocked! (Camera Shy!) If this award did not unlock at this point then read the description for Camera Shy! in the Awards list in section 4 of this walkthrough. Head up the stairs and kill the sniper. Then go back outside. To the left you will find some grass ledges that you can glide to, so work your way to the next section and kill the guys that pop up. Head down the stairs to the left to reach the first save point. Use it. Go over to the drawbridge and switch to Ampfibian to power the floor panel. Charge it up and then run to the middle. Quickly, switch to someone that can double jump. Ride the bridge to the top so you can jump onto the platform above you for the red glowing object which is another Sumo Slammer (SS17). Once you have it, just glide to the other side of the bridge. Once the bridge is back in the upright position charge the floor panel on this side of the bridge. Now, quickly switch to Echo Echo and use one of his clones to push the button. Then run across the bridge before it raises back up. Then use another clone to press the button back on the other side. Head back toward the save point and go up the stairs. Now go down the stairs on the right and charge the floor panel. Then hop across the platforms to the other side. Charge this floor panel too and all the water will drain out. Head for the exit that just opened. Use Big Chill to float to the top and then follow the hall to the exit. You will transform into Ultimate Echo Echo and have a ton of guys to kill. Once you drop the last one you will see an Award unlocked (Ultimate Echo Echo-wned). This area also contains the next set of destructible cars (C4) so be sure to destroy the 6 army vehicles that are parked there. There will be some snipers shooting you so just ignite the drums underneath their towers to take them out. The large doors are opened now so head down the ramp to the next save point. Save your game and walk down the hall to fight some more guys. Once they are gone, switch to Echo Echo and open the vent. Walk through it to the other side and proceed down the hall. You will get a message about raising the blast shields. Head to the right and press the switch to turn off the first gun. Now run down the hall and head to the left this time. Use a clone at this first switch then run over to the right and press that switch to turn off gun number two. Continue down the hall to yet another save point. Go ahead and use it. You will enter a room with a control system. Go over and charge the floor panel to rotate the 3 tubes around until you get the red light on top. The robotic arm will take out the tube and it will catch on fire. Use Big Chill to put it out. Walk forward and press the button once. Go back and charge the floor panel again, only this time stop on the yellow light. Put out the fire again and press the button a final time. Charge the floor panel to rotate the last tube into place. Put out the fire and final time and head up the stairs. Switch to Echo Echo and make a clone on the first 2 pressure plates and then go stand on the third to activate the missile. You are now timed so move quickly out the door and down the hall to the missile room. Use Big Chill to put out the fires and then glide down to the next platform. Switch to Ampfibian and charge the floor panel. Put out the fire with Big Chill and then switch to Echo Echo and run through the vent. Use Big Chill to jump to the pipe on the wall and use them to cross to the next section. Put out the fire and glide to the next floor panel. Charge it up to continue. Switch to Echo Echo and use a clone on each pressure plate to open the door. Now run inside and avoid the blue lasers as you cross. Glide down to the next area, put out the fires and jump up to the pipe on the wall. Work your wall up and to the right to reach the next platform. Switch to Echo Echo and use a clone on each pressure plate. This will extend a walkway to the next floor panel. Charge it up to move on. Glide all the way down to the left to fight some enemies. Once they are dead the laser gate will be shut off and you will be able to access the next floor panel. This will stop the missile launch but will start the self destruct sequence. Switch to Big Chill and we are now going to glide through the blue laser fields to reach the exit. As the first laser goes down jump to the first air current and ride it to the top. Then continue this method going to the next current as the lasers go down. At the top of one of the air currents is the yellow glowing object. Float all the way up to the Sumo Slammer (SS18) and you will see Award unlocked! (The Amazon Sumo Slammer!). Continue on to the exit and the boss fight. Now this paragraph is OPTIONAL but it will describe the best opportunity to get a 100 hit combo and the associated award during this boss fight. We will be using Big Chill so leave him as the current active character. Run over to either side and hang out near the wall. The technique we are going to use is to ONLY attack the big guy and not bother with the skinny guy on top. The big guy is invincible so you won't damage the shared life bar. The pattern is simple; start with 5 or 6 regular attacks then block the big punch and explosive. Add in 5 or 6 more regular attacks and block the big punch and the explosive again. Just keep repeating until you get to 100. Now at some point the explosive and the punch will be out of sync. You may only be able to land a hit or 2 before you need to block again. Just don't delay landing the next hit for too long and you will be all set. The good news is that you will see the explosive coming and the punch has a huge wind up. Even better news is that if you die, you get to restart right from the beginning of this boss fight. A video of this technique, which was made by FrankNStein, can be found here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=3639663&postcount=4 Award unlocked! (100 hit combo) At this point we are ready to take the bosses down. To defeat the bosses, you need to first use Ampfibian to shock the floor pad when the skinny guy is on the ledge above it. The fat guy will then charge the wall and make the skinny guy fall. Run over and punch him at few times. Repeat as needed. Now switch to Echo Echo and when the skinny guy is over the 2 switches call in your clones and flip the switch. Once again the fat guy will knock him down so start the beating again. Now on the third and final run, switch to Big Chill and you guessed it, freeze the flame when the skinny guy is over it. Once the fat guy knocks him down, run over and finish the job. Award unlocked! (Pwned the Clones). =============================================================================== Level 7 - Colosseum (x03g) =============================================================================== We start this level and are forced into a fight. At this point in the game they pose no real threat so take out the group and run straight ahead to the elevator the boss just used. Hop up the little platform on the side and then hop to the top. Drill the hole to go down. Follow the trail and kill some more guys, then exit through the side door. Jump over the lava and drill the hole to spin the room until you can walk through the opening. Walk into the center of the room and drill the hole to spin the walls until you see the next open path. There will be green gas in the distance. Use Terraspin to float across the big gap and then ignite the gas with Swampfire. This will open the door directly opposite the hall you are in. Run back to the round room and drill the hole until it is aligned with this new path. You will know you are in the right spot when you see lava in front of you. Run forward and leap over the lava and then use Terraspin to float over the gears. You will get attached by a bunch of guys. BEFORE doing anything, run across the room and head downstairs for the blue glowing object. It is the first Sumo Slammer (SS19) of this level. Then clean out the sniper and other guys. To kill the sniper, just ignite the green gas that is directly below him. With everyone gone, you can now ignite the other green gas canister. Which will raise the steps, so if you did not get the Sumo Slammer you will have to replay this section. Go upstairs, head out the doorway, leap the spikes and enter the next puzzle room. Jump to the first platform and drill the hole to rotate it 90 degrees. Now use Terraspin to glide to the next platform and then drill this hole to once again rotate in 90 degrees. Use Terraspin to float to the back of the room. Ignite the green gas that is to the left of where you land. This will lower a platform. Switch to Terraspin and double jump / float to this new platform. This is a big jump and you will just barely make it so start as close to the edge as possible. Drill the hole to lower the gate and raise the ramp. Make the big jump back across and work your way over to the first platform that we rotated. Drill the hole to spin it 90 degrees and then double jump / float to the ramp. Use your dash special move on the ramp to leap through the hole in the gate ahead. Go up the stairs for a cut scene. You will find yourself back outside with a save point right in front of you. Use it and walk into the street. Head into the middle to start a fight and then destroy this set of destructible cars (C5). You will see a white car on the left side of the street and another one off to the right. Destroy them both. Run down the alley and ignite the green gas. Then use Terraspin's dash special move on the ramp to leap over the large fire pit. Drill the hole in front of you and quickly switch to Terraspin. Run to the ramp and use the dash special to make it over the gate before it comes back up. Walk into the street and fight two groups of guys. Once they are all dead be sure that you destroy this set of destructible cars (C6). The first one is a white car right where you first entered the street. Then there are three more down the street. Destroy them all. Go through the alley to exit. As you come out of the gate there will be another set of destructible cars (C7). One car to your left and another directly ahead of you. Switch to Swampfire and work your way down the street to get attacked. The first thing you want to do is work your way to the end to ignite the green gas which will take out the sniper. Once he is gone take out the rest of the guys. Now in the alley to the left is a hole to drill. Do so it will cause some green gas to come out in the alley across the street. Make your way over and use the pipes on the wall to reach the top. Ignite the gas and it will punch a hole in the side of someone's house. Now make you way through and jump to the other building. Before heading inside, peak to the right and you will see the red glowing object on the ledge. It's a Sumo Slammer (SS20). Use Terraspin to float over and grab it. Go back to where you were and continue through the houses. You will find a drill hole on your right. Use it to lower the shutter and then use the ramp to launch into the next house. Go through the house and down the stairs to the exit on the bottom. Walk to the middle of the street to start a fight with a group of guys and then take out the next set of destructible cars (C8). There is a white car on the left and another on the right. Continue through the next alley for a save point. Use it and walk forward to fight the mid-boss. First things first, walk over to the car (C9) on the left and destroy it. If you have destroyed all the others as I mentioned them the congratulations, Award unlocked! (Immobilized). To actually defeat the boss, I like to use Swampfire. Attack with 3 regular hits and then launch his special attack combo. Then use 3 more regular attacks to fill your meter and launch another special attack combo. Just repeat 2 more times and he will die. You will get hit during this method but if you have maxed out your alien then you will kill him before he kills you. You can also go destroy something if you get into trouble and need health. There will be a brief cut scene and you will be back underground. Follow the hall around and fight the group of enemies. When they are all dead, burn the vines and jump to the top. Ignite the 2 green gas canisters to extend a ledge. You Terraspin to double jump / float across. Use Armodrillo on the hole, then quickly switch back to Terraspin and drop down. Double jump / float past the gate before it closes. Climb up the ledge and float over the spikes. You will end up in another circular room. Use the first drill hole to rotate the platform to the first open window. Now use the center drill hole to spin the walls so that the opening is aligned with the smaller platform we used first. Double jump / float over the spikes and work your way toward the next drill hole. Use Armodrillo to move the platform halfway and then ignite the green gas with Swampfire to open the door. Continue to drill the hole to the exit. Walk over to the next drill hole and move that platform halfway. Now switch to Terraspin and float over to the right and flip the switch. Jump back to your platform and drill to the exit. Walk through the room to the next drill hole to open the first lock. This will also start a couple of flame launchers. Use Terraspin's dash special on the ramp, and time it to avoid the flames. Float back to the center of the circular room. Now use the center drill hole to move the walls. You want to pass the next opening which leads to the locked door and instead rotate to the second opening. Now get on the small platform that also has a drill hole and ride it around to the new corridor. Float across the spikes and jump onto the platform with the next hole. Drill it to rotate the platform 90 degrees. Float to the next platform and rotate it 90 degrees. Jump across and burn the vines and drill the hole to move the platform to the other side. Jump onto the moving platform, burn the vines and drill this hole to the other side. As you enter the next room, look along the right wall to see a crack. Switch to Humungosaur. If you don't have him in your current list of aliens, you can swap him in pressing down on the right analog stick. This will open an alien select screen. Press down to choose whoever is on the bottom and then pick Humungosaur from the next screen. Then confirm your changes to get back to the game. Break the wall to collect the Sumo Slammer (SS21). Award unlocked! (The Colosseum Sumo Slammer!). Now go drill the next hole to unlock the second lock and once again raise a ramp and turn on some flames. You know the drill, so use Terraspin to dash across. Float back to the center of the circular room. Drill the hole to rotate the walls to the unlocked door. Float over the gap and head upstairs to a save point. Use it and move on to the next puzzle room. This is another timed event so move fast. Drill the first hole to escape the first bomb. This will only take you half way across before stopping. Quickly switch to Terraspin and double jump / float to the next bomb. As soon as you land, switch to Swampfire and jump up to the ledge on the left. Pass the third bomb, leap over to the fourth bomb and Switch to Terraspin. Use his dash special move on the ramp. Run under the opening and switch to Armodrillo. Drill the hole and raise the platform. Switch to Terraspin and use the dash special on the ramp then run out the exit to the boss fight. To defeat the boss, use Swampfire for the whole fight. First he flies around shooting at you while you get attacked by regular guys. Kill the 2 guys as fast as you can. Use block when he shoots at you and wait for him to stop in the middle and use your fireball special to ignite the green gas. It will cause an explosion and damage him. He will then spawn more minions and launch a group of missiles in the air. The missile targets will appear as red targets on the ground so stay out of the way until they explode. Kill the minions again and repeat the whole process two more times. There are pots lying along the edge of the room if you need to get your life back. After his ship crashes, jump across the debris in the water to make it to the other side before the blue laser field kills you. Take out his 3 guards as quickly as possible. Now unleash with some more fireballs to blow up his shield. When the shield is down run in and punch him. Eventually his shield will come back and so will his guards. Just keep repeating the steps until he is gone. Don’t forget to play smart and save your pots for when you need them. They all contain health power-ups so try not to destroy them until you need to. Once he is defeated you will see the next cut scene. Award unlocked! (Fall of Rome). =============================================================================== Level 8 - Final Battle (x03h) =============================================================================== Right at the start of the level you will get attacked. They are just minions so mop them up to open the door. Use Humungosaur to pull the block onto the pressure plate in the back corner. Then use Waterhazard to spray the water symbol behind the fence to move the truck. Walk over around the truck and put out the fires to save the first group of Civilians (CIV1). Break through the vent in the back and when it splits, go left. You will come upon another set of Civilians (CIV2). Put out the fires and turn the crank to get them to safety. Return to the vent and continue to the exit. You will have to fight a large group of enemies but by now you should be completely maxed out so they should not be too much trouble. Destroy the AC units and trash cans to refill life as needed. Switch to Humungosaur and break through the cracked wall in the back corner. Afterward, swing across with Spidermonkey to grab the blue glowing object. It's another Sumo Slammer (SS22). Moving along, grab the box and pull it onto the floor plate that moves the crane in the background. As you enter the room it is the first plate you cross. Drop down to the bottom and go over to the grapple point. Jump up to grab it and swing to the right. Switch to Waterhazard and shoot the water symbol. This will open the door allowing you to continue. Swing over the gap and through the door. Follow the hall to a save point and use it. At the bottom you'll have another enemy encounter. Once you take them all out the door will open. Exit and immediately pan the camera to the right. You will see a small vent into the building. Move through the vent to find the next group of Civilians (CIV3). Have Spidermonkey stand on the pressure plate and the grapple the switch. Once they are saved the game will put you at an edge overlooking the area you just came from. Before going back down, turn 180 degrees and destroy the crates in the back right corner to find the red glowing object. It's the next Sumo Slammer (SS23). Once you grab it, return to the edge and use the grapple point to make your way across. On the bottom, head through the open gate for a cut scene. Defeat the group of guys at the end of the street to open the gate to a shipping and receiving area. Move inside for a quick scene and then pan the camera to the left. Smash through the vent and follow it to another set of Civilians (CIV4). Punch through the cracked door to get them to safety. Return to the shipping yard via the vent, and grab the big box in the middle. Pull it to the pressure plate in the far back right corner. Switch to Spidermonkey and jump onto the yellow box in front of the white truck. Now jump on top of the truck and use the grapple point to reach the top of the box you pushed into place. Drop inside the open doorway and you will see the next set of Civilians (CIV5). Put out all the fires in the hallway to save them. Go back outside and through the open gates. Walk down the street and fight the group of enemies and then look for a vent on the left side by the back gate. Follow it and once again take the first left. This will take you to the final set of Civilians (CIV6). Put out the fires and turn the crank to save them. Award unlocked! (Savior). Return to the vent and crawl to the exit. Defeat all the enemies in the room to open the door to proceed. Right away there is a save point so use it and walk down the hall. You will now be back outside with a yellow crane and 2 boxes. Pull one of the boxes to the pressure plate to open the upper vent. Now pull the other box to the wall under the vent so you can use it as a stepping stone to get inside. Follow the vent all the way around to make it to the other side of the gate. Use Waterhazard to shoot the water symbol in front of you to open it. Now go through the crate and pull both boxes onto the pressure plates on each side of the crane. Now walk onto the middle of the crane and pull the big lever to rotate the crane. Grab the left box and put it on the left pressure plate by the door. Grab the right box and put it on the right pressure plate by the door. Head inside and you will see a save point. Use it and pan the camera until you see a stack of crates in this room. Break the crates and you will see a glowing wall safe. Switch to NRG and melt the safe. Inside is yellow glowing object. It's the final Sumo Slammer (SS24)! Awards unlocked! (The Final Battle Sumo Slammer! and Electric Slammeroo!) Continue down the hall to reach the final boss fight. There is a quick cut scene and then you are taken straight into the fight. It is a one on one fight. The big key is to block well and use your defensive roll. When he misses an attack, run in and counter. He likes to wind up before using attacks and that is your cue to sidestep and then maneuver around and punch him on the side or in the back. After a couple of hits you will slam him into the building and a quick time event will start. Follow the prompts and you will slam him back into the lake. Be careful not to miss any of the button prompts during the quick time event or the boss will regain some health. Now just repeat those steps to victory. You will whittle him down over the course of about 2 minutes. Enjoy the final cut scene you've just won the game! You've now unlocked Rath (360 exclusive) or Fourarms (PS3 exclusive) and a ton of Awards, "Eye of the Storm", "To the Moon", and depending on what system you are playing on you will get either "You Wanna Fight?" (360) or Original Gladiator (PS3). At this point in the game, if you followed the guide from the beginning, you should have everything completed with the exception of maybe the 100 hit combo. If for some reason you are missing either kills, DNA points or destructible objects, just keep replaying levels until you get the required amounts. Don't forget that you can also farm DNA points quickly during level 2 if needed. Just check that section (x03b) if you forgot how or where. If you are missing anything else you can use the Awards and Collectible guides below to finish up whatever you missed. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the guide and more importantly your 1000 Gamerscore Points or Platinum Trophy! =============================================================================== Awards - Achievement/Trophy Guide (x04) =============================================================================== Below is a list of all the awards and brief strategies to complete them. If you used the walkthrough above for the whole game you will have everything by the end, but if you are only looking for help on a specific one, check below for the applicable info. This is the same as my posts on www.ps3trophies.org and www.xbox360achievements.org. Story Awards ------------ "Go Ultimate" 5GS / Bronze Complete the first Ultimate Event; Defeat all of Vulcanus’ minions. During the first level you will come to a section that has a wall you need to break down with Humungosaur. Once you walk inside, a mini cut scene will trigger and you will transform into the Ultimate version of Humungosaur. Defeat all the enemies that spring up and the award will unlock shortly after defeating the last one. "E-Knocked Out!" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Catacombs level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 1 (Enoch) the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. To defeat the boss, kill all the enemies that are around you and be sure to block the red bolts that the boss shoots at you. Once the enemies are dead, switch to Humungosaur and push the block into the base of the platform the boss is on. A platform will appear so use it to get across to the next section. Kill the enemies, block when you need to and push the next block into place. You will have to destroy the debris that is in the way first. Once the 2nd block is in place, another platform appears so hop over it to the third section. Destroy the enemy, block what you need to and use Echo Echo on the green switches to open the gate. Then switch back to Humungosaur and push the final block into place. Enoch will jump down to your level, so just pound on him with your regular and special attacks until he falls. If you have trouble, then don’t forget to upgrade your alien. You should be able to max out the current level of stats for Humungosaur at this point and he will fall in about 30 seconds. "Stinky Savior" 10GS / Bronze Complete the Sunder Ultimate Event This happens during the level 2 boss fight. Just time your button presses to match the on screen prompts and you will finish off this fight. The award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. "Torn Asunder" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Eiffel Tower level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 2 (Sunder) the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. To defeat the boss, first press the on screen prompts. I went with Swampfire and then NRG. Afterward you will leap onto the Eiffel Tower. Kill all the immediate enemies and then just hold the special attack button and keep pressing the fireball button to launch fireballs. After awhile, you will have another button pressing event and then the boss goes down. "Hunter Has Become the Hunted" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Devil's Tower level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 3 the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. To defeat the boss, first pound on him a bit and he will fly away to the front corner. Run to the back and flip the switch to raise 2 boxes. Switch to Humungosaur and pull the left box to the left slot. The boss will now be forced to come back to you so just pound on him until he is toast. You can use the crates to get life back during the fight if you need to. "Stone Cold" 10GS / Bronze Defeat the Terracotta General This happens during level 4 and is another mini boss where you have to fight various enemies while dodging his attacks. He is on horseback and will generally stay in the background shooting at you. You start off with a quick time event, followed by a small wave of bad guys. Kill the minions and you'll get another quick time event with the boss. Repeat until he is dead and the award unlocks. "Great Walls of Fire" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Great Wall level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 4 the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. To defeat the boss, start by blocking its attack. Then use Ampfibian to charge the middle platform. Quickly block and then run forward and switch to Big Chill. Freeze the dragon and then switch to Swampfire and shoot the head with fireballs. Repeat 2 more times. Now the dragon will start flying overhead and you will notice signs on the 4 corners of the ground. Switch to Ampfibian and cross the lava rocks to the sign that lights up and shoot it with electricity to fry the dragon. Repeat until it dies. "Funny Business" 10GS / Bronze Complete the Zombozo Ultimate Event This happens during level 5. It is probably the easiest one yet so just time your button presses like always and when you change into the ultimate version just hold down the special attack button and keep pressing "X" (360) or "Square" (PS3). He should be over pretty quick. "Rescued at What Cost?" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Tokyo Nights level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 5 the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. The game takes a bit of a difficulty spike on this level. This is your chance to melt the red cover with the special attack. Now switch to Spidermonkey and avoid the 3 ground smashes and double jump the wall slam. Quickly grapple the wires inside the red box and yank them out. Good work this is a checkpoint. Now grapple over the gap to the saw blade on the right. Repeat the same technique that we just used on the claw for the saw blade. Now just use your special attack to slowly melt the green button until it is finished. Whew! This boss made me forget I was playing a "kids" game. "Camera Shy!" 25GS / Bronze Destroy all the security cameras in the Amazon level Simply destroy all the cameras in the Amazon level. These are all in the walkthrough. An odd thing happened to me on this one so I think I'll share just in case someone runs into the same problem. On my first playthrough, I searched everywhere and made the guide while I played. When I finished the level I did not get the award and figured I missed one. I finished the rest of the game and went back to try and find the missing camera. The award popped when I picked up the first one that is listed in my guide again. Something to keep in mind if you have trouble too. "Ultimate Echo Echo-wned" 10GS / Bronze Complete the Ultimate Echo Echo event This happens during level 6. Another easy one, when you change into the ultimate version, just keep killing until there is nothing left. "Pwned the Clones" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Amazon level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 6 the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. To defeat these guys, you need to first use Ampfibian to shock the floor pad when the skinny guy is on the ledge above it. The fat guy will then charge the wall and make the skinny guy fall. Run over and punch him at few times. Now switch to Echo Echo and when the skinny guy is over the 2 switches call in your clone and flip the switch. Once again the fat guy will knock him down so start the beating again. Now on the third and final run, switch to Big Chill and you guessed it, freeze the flame when the skinny guy is over it. Once the fat guy knocks him down, run over and finish the job. "Fall of Rome" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Colosseum level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the boss of level 7 the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. Use Swampfire for the whole fight. First he flies around shooting at you while you get attacked by regular guys. For this phase you need to use your fireball special attack when he stops in the center. It will cause an explosion and damage him. This should only take three times. After his ship crashes, jump across the debris take out his 3 guards as quickly as possible. "Savior" 10GS / Bronze Save all of the civilians in the Final Battle You need to save all the groups of civilians in the Final Battle (level 8). There aren't too many but I put them in the walkthrough anyway. "Eye of the Storm" 15GS / Bronze Complete the Final Battle level Story related and cannot be missed. Once you defeat the final boss the award unlocks during the cut scene that follows. This is a one on one fight. The big key is to block well and use your defensive roll. When he misses an attack, run in and counter. You will whittle him down over the course of about 2 minutes. There are also some quick time events but you should have no problems with them by now. "To the Moon" 50GS / Silver Complete the Game Story related and cannot be missed. This unlocks after you defeat the final boss and it comes right after the award for "Eye of the Storm". Congratulations you’ve completed the final level. "The Final Battle Sumo Slammer!" 25GS / Bronze Find all of the hidden Sumo Slammers in the Final Battle See "Electric Slameroo!". "Electric Slameroo!" 50GS / Gold Find all of the hidden Sumo Slammers in the game This will unlock when you have collected all the Sumo Slammers in the game. If you missed some, you can replay the levels and pick up the ones you missed. You can check how many you have by previewing the level select screen for each mission. I have made a guide to all the locations and it can be found in this walkthrough. Combat Awards ------------- "Art of War" 10GS / Bronze Discover all of the Combat Bonuses Just keep fighting enemies and it should unlock during the course of normal play. I had it pop for me during the beginning of level 2. I honestly don't know what the combat bonuses are as I didn't see any mention of them during the entire game. "Power Up!" 10GS / Bronze Spend 1000 on upgrades See "Investor". "Investor" 25GS / Silver Spend 10000 on upgrades You earn DNA points while playing through the levels destroying objects and defeating enemies. You can then use the DNA to purchase upgrades for your aliens. Once you have spent 10000 points and exit the power up menu back to the game screen, the award will unlock. "Deep Pockets" 50GS / Bronze Earn One Million DNA You earn DNA points while playing through the levels destroying objects and defeating enemies. When you have collected 1,000,000 points the award will unlock. This counts as the total collected throughout the game and does not mean that you have to have a million points on hand all at the same time. With that in mind, feel free to spend the points as you get them to max out your aliens. This will require completing the game and then replaying levels to get the total amount OR see "100 Hit Combo" for a relatively quick way to 1,000,000 using Swampfire on level 2. "Brawler" 10GS / Bronze Defeat 100 enemies See "Conqueror". "Warrior" 15GS / Bronze Defeat 200 enemies See "Conqueror". "Conqueror" 25GS / Silver Defeat 500 enemies You will unlock the "defeat 100, 200 and 500 enemies" awards during the course of the game. If by some miracle you don’t have this by the end, go back and replay the levels until you do. A good level to replay is level one because you get over 100 enemies by the time you complete the Ultimate Humungosaur event. This award popped for me during level 3 of regular play but I did replay level 1 once. "10 Hit Combo" 10GS / Bronze Get a 10 hit combo See "100 hit combo". "25 Hit Combo" 25GS / Bronze Get a 25 hit combo See "100 hit combo". "50 Hit Combo" 50GS / Bronze Get a 50 hit combo See "100 hit combo". "100 Hit Combo" 50GS / Gold Get a 100 hit combo You will likely get the 10 and 25 hit combos during the course of your first playthrough. The 50 and 100 hit combos are the ones you will have to try for. A combo is counted by keeping a continuous chain of attacks going against multiple foes. You have about 3 seconds between attacks to continue the chain and if you get hit during the combo it resets to 0. An easy 10, 25 and 50 hit combo can be done with Swampfire. During level 2 (Eiffel Tower) and right after the first save point (be sure to save first) is a room where you need to melt the teeth of a large snake. Before you can do that though, you need to fight a large group of minions. Start back behind the stairs and destroy the plant and armor so they don't mess with your combo. Now let the first couple of guys come to you. Attack the first one with a regular attack. Best I did at this
location was 76 hits and over 200,000 points for 1 one fight. Not bad for a couple of minutes. Multiply that times 5 more fights at this location and you are done collecting DNA points for the rest of the game after maybe fifteen minutes. Once you've got the combo down or have all the DNA points you want, just complete the level to save your stuff. For the easiest opportunity to get a 100 hit combo, you need to make your way to the boss of level 6. We will be using Big Chill so swap him in as the current active character. A video of this technique, which was made by FrankNStein, can be found here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=3639663&postcount=4 "Better, Faster, Stronger!" 10GS / Bronze Fully upgrade one alien You only need to max out one of the aliens for this to unlock. See "Ultimate Aliens" for more information. "Ultimate Aliens" 50GS / Gold Fully upgrade all aliens You need to upgrade 10 of the 11 aliens to the maximum level by spending your DNA points. The unlockable characters Rath (360) and Fourarms (PS3) do NOT need to be maxed out to get this award. At the beginning you can only max out the characters a certain amount. More upgrade slots become available as you play the game. You will know an alien is done when their bar on the upgrade screen is full. The aliens and how much each one costs to max out are: Ampfibian - 122,720 Armodrillo - 127,120 Big Chill - 125,940 Echo Echo - 110,120 Humungosaur - 129,160 NRG - 125,940 Spidermonkey - 122,720 Swampfire - 125,940 Terraspin - 122,720 Waterhazard - 125,940 For a total of 1,238,320 points. Use the Swampfire combo, die and restart method listed in the 100 hit combo description for a quick way to the million. "Vandal" 5GS / Bronze Destroy 30 breakable objects See "Menace". "Threat" 15GS / Bronze Destroy 200 breakable objects See "Menace". "Menace" 25GS / Silver Destroy 500 breakable objects During the course of playing through the game you will come across various objects that you can destroy. They are pots, coffins, debris piles, benches, dumpsters, etc. Keep on destroying the objects around the levels until you have unlocked the awards. You get a breakdown at the end of the level that tells you how many items you destroyed. You can obtain this by the 5th or 6th level if you keep destroying everything you find. If for some reason you do not have this by the end of the game just keep replaying levels until you get it. "Ultimatrix Bearer" 20GS / Bronze Defeat 50 enemies as Ben Tennyson Ben is the main player you control throughout the game that is constantly changing into the other alien forms. Just defeat 50 enemies in your untransformed human state and this will unlock. This is probably best done at the start of the game to get it out of the way. At the end of level 1 you need to jump over some retracting spikes and enter an arena of sorts with the boss. Instead of killing the boss just keep killing his minions with Ben until the award unlocks. Even if you die, you restart right there and dying does not reset your total kills so keep at it. If you killed all the other enemies you could with Ben from the beginning of level 1, then you’ll get the award by replaying this fight within a couple of minutes. "Immobilized" 25GS / Bronze Destroy all cars within the game Every car you see within the game needs to be destroyed. There are twelve in level 5, six in level 6 and eleven in level 7. They are all in the collectibles guide and can be found in this walkthrough. Miscellaneous Awards -------------------- "You Wanna Fight?" 50GS (360 only) Unlock Rath as a playable character You will unlock him after completing the game. I've listed them in the order as the appear in they game and have given them the following abbreviations: SS = Sumo Slammer C = Car SC = Security Camera CIV = Civilians Level 1 Catacombs ----------------- 1) SS - At the first save spot the is a noticeable crack in the wall the that you can break down with Humungosaur. Inside is just a couple of pots though. What you want to do is face that crack and turn 180 and break down the wall in front of you that looks slightly worn. Enter the hole and follow the short path to the blue glowing object. 2) SS - After jumping over a set of retracting spikes and fighting the robot mini boss, pan the camera to the right and you will see a glowing red object. Jump over the gap and pick it up. 3) SS - After being introduced to the Spartan enemy and fighting a couple of them you will enter another puzzle room. Before doing anything, head downstairs and turn 180 to see a glowing yellow object. Walk through the opening and pick it up. Level 2 Eiffel Tower -------------------- 1) SS - at the very beginning of the level spin the camera around 180 degrees and you will see the glowing blue object so go and grab it. 2) SS - after being introduced to a crab type enemy that carries a shield and club you will exit to the outside. The floor will be wet. BEFORE you drop the large container to make a bridge, make your way to the left along the bottom level and you will see the glowing red object around the corner. It is lying below the hanging container. 3) SS - When you are moving through the house that's on fire you get to a point where you make a small bridge with the fire escape. As you are walking from one house to the next you can see the yellow glowing object in the back right corner of the very first room in the new building. A portion of the roof will collapse but just walk around it to claim your prize. Level 3 Devil's Tower --------------------- 1) SS - After going across the 2 grapple points, fall off the right edge to land near two barrels. Destroy the barrels and grab the blue glowing object. 2) SS - You enter a cottage and learn how to use your drill in a hole to rotate a portion of the water channel. Right after this point you go down stairs. When you get to the bottom head behind the stairs and break through the wooden wall for the red glowing object. 3) SS - After running downhill and avoiding the rolling boulders, you will come to a flat area. Kill the enemies and you will see some stairs that you need to climb up. Instead of going up the stairs just yet, go down the small walkway just to the right of them. In the back you will find a wooden wall that you can break for the yellow glowing object. Level 4 Great Wall ------------------ 1) SS - Shortly after beginning the level, you will be prompted to use Big Chill to drift into an air current. Glide into the first one and float all the way to the top for the blue glowing object. 2) SS - After maxing out the generator and going through the large door, you will float up through the ceiling on an air current that is coming out of a stone face. Before gliding down to the exit turn around and you will see the glowing red object in the background. 3) SS- When you finally get to the end of the area where you had to turn on fans and open doors you will break down a hallway and create a ramp leading up. At the top of the ramp is a fan so turn it on and float up and to the left. You will land on a ledge that has some finger holds that you can jump to and hang from. Work your way to the right and you will end up on top of an arch. Cross the arch for your yellow glowing object. Level 5 Tokyo Nights -------------------- 1) SS - Near the beginning of the level you will need to jump from one yellow scaffold to the next. The one you are jumping to will have a hand rail around it. Once you land you will be able to go up or down. Drop down through the hole to the lower level and follow the path around to the blue glowing object. 2) SS - Eventually you will come to a part where you use Armodrillo to ride a track down. You have to stop and take a short detour because the track is not lined up correctly. As you work your way over to the switch to align the track, you have to shimmy across a yellow scaffold. Drop down on the bottom right side for the yellow glowing object. 3) Cx3 - After the Zombozo Ultimate Event, you end up in a parking lot. There will be 2 white cars on your right. Then there is a red truck on the left as well. Destroy them all. 6) Cx5 - continue down the street and destroy 2 white cars on your right, a red truck and a white car of the left and a red truck in the far right corner at the end of the road. 7) SS - You'll get a message about needing to clear a path to get across. Before doing anything walk off the edge in front of you and drop down to the ground floor. Now up ahead on your right is the glowing red object. 8) Cx4 - There are 2 white cars on a lift and 2 white cars on the ground. Destroy them all. Level 6 Amazon -------------- 1) SC - After the glide from the plane and as soon as you get in the first room, you will find this in the top of the entrance to the walkway you need to go through next. 2) SC - in the top left corner of the next room where you use the toxic drums to open the door. 3) SC - on the way to taking out the sniper in the next building. As you are running up the hall you should see the camera on the ceiling. 4) SC - Continue on and you will come to another area that requires shooting at the toxic drums. This time the camera is on the right. 5) SC - glide down to the next building and once inside head up to the sniper again for another hallway camera. 6) SS - Once you take out the sniper and the other enemies inside go back outside the door you last entered. Turn right and jump off the ledge to the platform below for this glowing blue object. 7) SC - Pass the furnace and you will come to some more barrels yet again. The camera is back on the left. 8) SC - in the next building you glide to you need to blow up some more barrels to open the door. As soon as you do the camera is right inside on the ceiling. 9) SS - When you get to the first save point you will also see a drawbridge. Charge it up and then run to the middle. ride the bridge to the top and jump onto the platform above you for the red glowing object. 10) Cx6 - When you transform into Ultimate Echo Echo be sure to destroy the 6 army vehicles that are parked there. 11) SS - When you are finished disarming the missile you need to glide to the exit past some blue lasers. At the top of one of the air currents is the yellow glowing object. Pick it up before you exit. Level 7 Colosseum ----------------- 1) SS - After the circular room, you will jump over some gears and then get attached by a bunch of guys. BEFORE doing anything, run across the room and head downstairs for the blue glowing object. Then clean out the sniper and other guys. 2) Cx2 - When you come out from the underground you will see a white car directly in front of you and another one off to the right. Destroy them both. 3) Cx4 - you will leap over a large fire pit and then a fence. As you continue down the path you will come to another white car right in front of you. When you turn to head left there will be three more. Destroy them all. 4) Cx2 - As you come out of the gate there will be one car to your left and another directly ahead of you. 5) SS - You will get to a part where there is green gas coming from a tank that you will to detonate. It will punch a hole in the side of someone's house. Now make your way through and jump to the other building. Before heading inside, peak to the right and you will see the red glowing object on the ledge. Use Terraspin to float over and grab it. 6) Cx2 - Work your way through the buildings and you will end up back outside on the street. There are 2 cars waiting to be totaled. 7) Cx1 - While fighting the mid-boss, run over and destroy the car first. If you destroyed all the ones I've listed above then congratulations on the award you just got. 8) SS - You will get to a section with a circular room and a locked door in the middle. To open the locks you need to go through the wing corridors and drill the holes to open the locks. The is a breakable wall near one of the holes. This is the hole where you needed to burn branches that were on top of small square platforms. Looking at the hole, turn 180 degrees to see the crack. Use Humungosaur to break the crack and collect the item. Level 8 Final Battle -------------------- 1) CIVx4 - when you move the truck at the beginning put out the remaining fires and they are saved. 2) CIVx3 - when crawling through the first vent, take the first left and exit out into a room. Just smash the crates to see it. 6) CIVx3 - Moving along you will find yourself in a shipping and receiving area with trucks. Pan the camera to the left and you will see a small vent. Follow it to the room with the cracked wall and break it to free the people. 7) CIVx3 - Back in the shipping yard, push the bib block into the back by the door. Now climb the nearest truck and swing over in through the door. Put out the fires to save the people. 8) CIVx3 - After the gates open and you kill a couple of guys you will see a vent on the left. Follow it and once again take the first left. Put out the fires and turn the crank and you will be rewarded with an award. 9) SS - You will eventually come to a puzzle using 2 blocks and a rotating crane. Once you make it to the other side there is a save point. In that same room there is a wall safe hidden behind a crate. Smash the crate and melt the safe with NRG for the yellow glowing object. That's the last one. =============================================================================== Alien Upgrades Guide (x06) =============================================================================== There really isn't much depth to upgrading your aliens. You use DNA points that you collect while playing through the levels and can spend them on enhancing your special attacks and attributes. A quick method to max out your DNA can be found under level 2 of the walkthrough (section x03b). You are prompted to upgrade your aliens at the start of each level but you can also access the upgrade menu at anytime by pressing start. Move the cursor over an alien and you will see how close he is to being maxed out by looking at the yellow meter in the bottom right corner of the screen. You cannot upgrade the Ultimate versions of the aliens. All the available aliens and the cost to max them out are listed below: Ampfibian - 122,720 Armodrillo - 127,120 Big Chill - 125,940 Echo Echo - 110,120 Fourarms (PS3 only exclusive) Humungousaur - 129,160 NRG - 125,940 Rath (360 only exclusive) Spidermonkey - 122,720 Swampfire - 125,940 Terraspin - 122,720 Waterhazard - 125,940 If the game ever starts to seem more difficult, make sure that you have maxed out the aliens you are using for that level. =============================================================================== Miscellaneous (x07) =============================================================================== This game was a little bit harder than I expected but is nothing unmanageable. They are pretty fair with the checkpoints so you won't have to redo anything too much.
