Introduction Guitar Hero: Aerosmith features over 40 songs either by Aerosmith or from bands that have opened for Aerosmith at some of their gigs. This guide will explain how to get each of the achievements in the game. This game was also my first 1000G game. Only GameFAQs may host this guide at this time. Don't ask me for permission, because I won't respond. 2. Version History Version 1.0 (08/07/08): Guide started and finished. Version 1.1 (08/16/08): Minor fixes to things I missed beforehand. Version 1.5 (12/17/08): Added important information regarding the online achievements. 3. Main Achievements Format is as follows. Achievement name (Gamerscore) Achievement description How to unlock 3a. Get Your Wings (10G) Complete the Tutorial From the main menu, select "Training", then "Tutorials". In here, you will find four tutorials: Basic Lessons, Star Power, Guitar Battle, and Advanced Techniques. To unlock this achievement, complete all four tutorials and have the bubbles next to each tutorial filled in. 3b. Make It (20G) Complete the Career on Easy This achievement will unlock upon completion of the song "Train Kept A Rollin'" on Easy in your Career. Easy uses only the green, red, and yellow frets, so it shouldn't be too hard, even for beginners. 3c. Movin' Out (30G) Complete the Career on Medium This achievement will unlock upon completion of the song "Train Kept A Rollin'" on Medium in your Career. Medium uses the same frets as Easy, but adds the blue fret. If you're having trouble adjusting to the blue fret, see if moving your hand up so your ring finger can hit the blue fret any easier. This will also help you get ready for Hard. 3d. Rock in a Hard Place (50G) Complete the Career on Hard This achievement will unlock upon completion of the song "Train Kept A Rollin'" on Hard in your Career. Hard uses all five frets, so you'll want to practice moving your hand up and down the guitar neck to make it through most songs on this difficulty. Trying to stretch your pinky to reach the orange fret will be difficult, so try shifting your hand position. 3e. Dream On (75G) Complete the Career on Expert This achievement will unlock upon completion of the song "Train Kept A Rollin'" on Expert in your Career. Expert throws everything in the songs at you. If you made it through Guitar Hero 3's Expert career (or even Guitar Hero 2 or Rock Band), you should have little trouble making it through all of Expert. Make sure you have hammer-ons and pull-offs nailed down so you can at least pull them off (no pun intended). If you don't know what these are, check the Advanced Techniques tutorial. The above 4 achievements are stackable, meaning if you clear Expert Career, you will get the other 3 achievements as well. 3f. Aerosmith (15G) Unlock Aerosmith as the playable band When you complete the Opening Acts in Career, you will get access to Aerosmith songs. Just complete the first two songs on the setlist, "Dream Police" and "All the Young Dudes", and you will unlock the achievement. 3g. Jailbait (5G) Play a song at the Nipmuc venue Complete one of the first two songs on the setlist (see above) and you will unlock this achievement. 3h. Cheesecake (10G) Earn a 100 note streak in Career or Quick Play When you hit 50 notes in a row without mistakes, a message will pop up that reads "50 note streak!" After this, you will see this message pop up when you reach a 100 note streak, then again every 100 notes on the streak. For this achievement, hit 100 notes in a row. Any song will do, as long as you can keep a combo going for a little bit. 3i. Crazy (20G) Earn a 500 note streak in Career or Quick Play For this achievement, hit 500 notes in a row without mistakes. Three songs on Easy will work, "Mama Kin", "Mercy", and "Shakin' My Cage", as well as a decent number of songs on Medium. Most songs on Hard and every song on Expert are choices. If you want an easy song to do it on and you can play on Medium or higher, play "Dream On" on Medium. It has exactly 500 notes and it's way too easy to be where it is. 3j. No More, No More (10G) Perform all the Encores After completing the two Aerosmith songs in a venue, the audience will be chanting for an encore. There are a total of six encores. "Train Kept A Rollin'" is the last one. Clear that song to unlock the achievement. 3k. Kings and Queens (20G) Purchase all the playable characters from The Vault There are four unlockable characters. Two characters must be unlocked for purchase. Joe Perry is unlocked for purchase when you defeat him in a guitar battle. DMC is unlocked when you complete the song "Walk This Way (Run DMC)". To unlock this achievement, you will need to earn $60000 total. Characters may be purchased with different bands and they will be available on all bands under the same gamertag. For 5-starring all songs on Easy, you will get $9300. Medium: $18600 Hard: $37200 Expert: $55800 3l. Big Ten Inch Record (20G) Purchase all the bonus songs. There are nine bonus songs to purchase for $500 each, meaning the full set costs $4500. If you want to save your cash for the bigger achievements, enter the "Unlock All Songs" cheat. You'll still have to purchase one song to unlock the achievement, though. 3m. Toys in the Attic (20G) Purchase all guitars from The Vault (Bass/Lead/Rhythm) You need to purchase the 73 non-unlockable guitars from The Vault. This will set you back $93200. You can purchase the guitars on different bands on your gamertag. They will be unlocked for all bands. An easy way is to unlock Kings and Queens, then when that achievement pops up, exit to the dashboard immediately. You'll keep your cash as well as the achievement and give you a boost to your start on this one. 3n. Same Old Song and Dance (50G) Complete every song in the setlist and the Vault (Local only) There are 41 songs total. 30 of the songs are in the main setlist (not including the boss battle), 11 are in the Vault. 2 songs in the Vault need to be unlocked by playing through the career. "Joe Perry Guitar Battle" is unlocked when you defeat Joe Perry in a guitar battle. "Kings and Queens" is unlocked when you complete the career on any difficulty. Theh achievement unlocks when you complete all 41 songs in your career on any difficulty. 3o. Score Hero (30G) Score "325,000" or more on the song "Train Kept a Rollin'" This achievement is either easy or hard, depending on your skill. For starters, you cannot obtain this achievement on Hard. You must play on Expert. Practice the solos so you can hit most of each section. At parts where there are chord switches (green+yellow to red+yellow and back or green+blue to yellow+blue and back), try to master those and use star power on those parts. 3p. Get it Up (30G) Score 2,000,000 in the Career Your Career Score at the bottom of the setlist is what this goes by. Once that score passes the 2-million mark, the achievement will unlock. 3q. Eat the Rich (30G) Earn $50,000 in career earnings This achievement will unlock once you reach $50,000 across all your bands. Money spent does not count against the total. 3r. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (30G) Earn a gold star rating on a song on Medium or harder difficulty (Local only) When you hit 100% of the notes in a song, the stars that appear next to the song on the setlist will turn gold. For this achievement, try any of the first five songs or Dream On. 3s. Gems (25G) Hit every star power phrase on a song (Local or Xbox LIVE) Star power phrases appear as notes in a star shape. Hit all of these notes in a row to get star power. For this achievement, you need to hit all of these sets of notes. To assure you'll get all of them, don't use star power at all. This will also get you the "Spaced" achievement if you do that. 3t. Sick as a Dog (25G) Earn a 5 star rating for a song on Medium or harder (Local or Xbox LIVE) When you complete a song, you will receive a star rating of either 3, 4, or 5, depending on your final score. Simply earn a rating of five stars and the achievement will unlock. 3u. Ain't That a B***h (20G) Earn a gold star rating on a song (Local only) See "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" 3v. Big Ones (15G) Earn a 300 note streak in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE) In Co-op, each player shares a rock meter and note streak. For this achievement, both you and your partner must play a combined total of 300 notes without breaking the streak. Any song will do. 3w. Cryin' (25G) Earn a 600 note streak in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE) Unlike "Big Ones", you both need to hit a combined total of 600 notes in a row. This shouldn't be too tough for either of you. 3x. Combination (5G) Earn an 8x multiplier in Co-op (Local or Xbox LIVE) Both of you need to earn a 4x multiplier, then use star power. 3y. Let the Music Do the Talking (40G) Earn a gold star rating on a Co-op song (Local or Xbox LIVE) This isn't what you might think. Only YOU need to hit 100% of the notes. If your partner misses a note, but you don't, you will still get the achievement. 3z. When I Needed You (15G) Activate Star Power 3 times in a song in a Co-op match (Local or Xbox LIVE) When you are able to activate star power, both of you need to tilt your guitars simultaneously. Do this 3 times, then finish the song. 3aa. What it Takes (35G) Play 20 online ranked matches of any game type WARNING! XBOX LIVE PLAY IS PRETTY MUCH A GHOST TOWN NOW! GETTING THIS ACHIEVEMENT WILL REQUIRE A LOT OF PATIENCE! This achievement unlocks after 20 ranked songs, not sets. The quickest way to do this is enter a ranked Battle Mode match in a Best of 7 set. Lose every other match so you can get through 7 in no time. Repeat this 3 times for the achievement. 3ab. Deuces are Wild (40G) Complete all songs on the setlist as the lead guitarist (Local or Xbox LIVE - primary user) This counts only for the 30 songs on the main setlist, not the Vault. It can be done on Xbox LIVE, but you need to be the one hosting and only songs you choose will count. An easy way to do this is to turn on the "No Fail" cheat, go into local co-op, and sit through all the songs without playing a note (play one on each guitar just to be safe). After clearing the 30 songs, turn the cheat off then go fail a song. After about 10 seconds, the achievement will unlock. 3ac. My Fist Your Face (20G) Win an online ranked Pro Face-Off match WARNING!
