You'll have it for a few missions, giving you plenty of time to get the trophy. These are explosive. Shoot them when an enemy is near to kill them. 10 times will give you the trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Tosser... in the Literal Sense [0413] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Kill 10 aliens with tossed objects Very frequently in the game, you'll notice objects that can be picked up and thrown. [0414] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Kill 15 aliens with melee attacks while on steroids You pick up steroids for the first time in The Duke Cave. Immediately after you do, you'll be ambushed by a large amount of enemies. Use the steroids and kill them, adding a large amount of kills toward the trophy. You can either finish the mission and replay it to earn the trophy quickly, or you can continue playing and get it later on in another mission. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Noms [0415] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Eat 10 pieces of food in SP There will be plenty of food throughout the campaign that you can eat. When you start to get attacked by a bunch of Octababies, throw down a pipe bomb. Next, run a train to get them together. Then, run past the pipe bomb and detonate it when they are close to get this trophy easily. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Full Body Tourettes [0417] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Get knocked down 10 times This is an easy one. Just play the Alien Queen boss fight and get knocked down until you get the trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Turd Burglar [0418] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Find and steal a piece of poo Uhhhh, okay. You can find some in the beginning of Duke Lives. While in the locker room, go over to one of the toilets. Press Square to pick one up. For some reason, you have earned a trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I Need a Towel [0419] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Get hit by 10 pregnator bombs When there is some distance between you and a Pregnator, they'll shoot a ball of white stuff at you. Just play the Mothership Battle a few times and shoot everything that moves! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Call Waiting [0421] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Listen to all phone messages There are 14 phones throughout the campaign that you have to use. Duke Lives #1: In Duke's bathroom. The Duke Dome #2: In the trailer at the end of Part 1. Duke Nukem's Titty City #3: On the counter behind you right at the start. #4: In the Employees Only room, on the desk with the computer. #5: In the 'Private' room. Enter 4768 on the panel to open it. The phone is on the wall behind the desk. #6: On the counter right before going upstairs. The Duke Burger #7: At the start of Part 1, turn around and climb over the tentacle things and follow the path. The phone will be at the counter. The Mighty Foot #8 and 9: They will both be on desks in the building with the fuel. The Shrunk Machine #10: On the desk behind the large double-doors in the first room. Generator Room #11: After getting out of the elevator, go left and the phone will be on the wall next to the drinking fountain. The Clarifier #12: In the room with the TV on the wall, on a desk. #13: In the room with the rolling platform, push it to the wall, climb up the ladder, and drop down into the room. The phone is on the desk. #14: When you come into a the room with all of the stairs, it will be on the wall at the top of them (it's hard to describe, but you will see it, as you go right past it). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bucket Head [0422] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Find all 3 helmets in the SP campaign There are three helmets from other major games hidden in the campaign. You'll get the trophy when you find them. How do you know if you've technically found them? Duke will have a different quote for all three of them. Vegas in Ruin - Halo #1: At the beginning, in the back of the first truck will be Master Chief's helmet. Duke will say, "Power armor is for pussies". The Hive - Dead Space #2: After getting the rolling bug into the socket, go through the door. Then after tickling the next door, turn left and duck. You'll see Isaac Clarke's helmet on a dead EDF soldier. Duke will say, "That's one dead space marine". Blowin' the Dam - Borderlands #3: This one is pretty tough to describe. After planting the first bomb and turning the valve, swim over to the next area. Then, when you get to the first bubble vent over there, turn left. Start swimming out toward the debris. You'll eventually be in a small cave, where the Psycho's helmet is sitting. Duke will say, "Well, at least he got an ending". +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Party Animal [0423] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Drink all of the beers in the strip club There are a total of nine beers. #1: On some cardboard boxes past the Employees Only door. #2: On a little shelf in the restroom. #3: In the fridge behind the counter in the show room. #4: In the fridge behind the counter in the show room. #5: On the desk in the 'Private' room. Enter 4768 to unlock the door. #6: At the end of the stage in the show room. #7: In the arcade, on a stool by the slot machines. #8: In the arcade, at the window by the Air Hockey table. #9: On a chair in the last room. The underwater level is Blowin' the Dam. It would be WAAAAAAAY too hard for me to describe their actual locations, so I've linked a video guide below. Walk up to the board and draw something on it and you'll get the trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I Need a Date [0426] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Look at every page of a calendar in SP The first calendar is found in The Shrunk Machine. When you've killed all the enemies in the large room, open the large double doors. Walk in and turn around. The calendar will be on the right. Flip through all of the pages and the trophy is yours. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sticky Bomb Like You! [0427] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Put a Trip Mine on a live alien Another very easy one. Just run up to a Pigcop and throw a Trip Mine on him to get it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Big Guns, Big Ships [0428] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Destroy 5 enemy Gunships or Dropships There are quite a few of them in the Mothership Battle and The Mighty Foot, so you won't have trouble with this one. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Air-Duke [0429] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Win Air Hockey with a score of 7-0 in the strip club This one will take a few tries. Make sure you are always ready to defend when he shoots, and only take a shot when the puck is slowing down. If you try to shoot when it's at full speed, you'll miss completely and he'll score off of you. That's about all the advice that can be given. It just takes some practice. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Balls of Steel [0430] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Earn a 1,000,000 point pinball score in SP This is possibly the most annoying trophy in the game. The reason this trophy is so difficult is because of the table's design. The bouncers will shoot the ball straight for the bottom of the table without giving you time to react, the left flipper on the bottom often flips the ball up to the top left flipper, and it gets batted down also giving you no time to react, and the ball always makes its way to the outside edge of the table, which is a problem when the connectors down there collapse. Luckily, there is a method where you won't have to worry about any of this. You can do this in The Duke Cave or Duke Nukem's Titty City. **Credit for this method goes to PowerPyx** Start off by getting at least a 2x multiplier. This is done by activating the three lights at the top of the table. You can move the lights by pressing L1 and R1. Then, trap the ball with the top left flipper. What you want to do now is quickly flip the ball up to knock down the three panels. Then, tilt the table to get the ball back to the flipper and trap it again. Wait for the panels to come up again, and repeat it until you hit a million. This will take a while if you only get a 2x multiplier, so I honestly recommend that you get up to about a 6x if possible. Just pick one up and drink it to get the trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Juiced [0432] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Take steroids in SP You'll come across steroids for the first time in The Duke Cave. You'll get them after turning on the power. Simply use them to get this easy trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ He's Got a Hologram! [0433] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Use a Holoduke in SP Holodukes are pretty rare compared to beer and steroids. You can find one in The Duke Burger Part 3, in a small EDF box. Use it and you'll get the trophy. See Companion Barrel if you can't find one, as that can give you a Holoduke. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Substance Abuser [0434] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Drink while on steroids or vice versa in SP Another very easy one. When you pick up a beer, hold onto it until you find steroids. Take both of them while their effects are active to get the trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I Am All That Is Man! [0435] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Discover all Ego cap rewards These are kind of fun. They are certain objects that you can interact with throughout the game that will boost Duke's Ego. Find all 28 of them and you'll get the trophy. Duke Lives ********** #1: Go into Duke's bathroom and admire yourself in the mirror. #2: Use the toilet in Duke's bathroom. #3: Pocket all of the balls on one of the pool tables. Damn! It's Late *************** #4: Go into the break room and microwave some popcorn. The Duke Cave ************* #5: Benchpress the weights. #6: Grab and curl a weight in Duke's gym. #7: Punch the brown speed bag. #8: Make a basket from the foul line. #9: Score at least 290,000 on the pinball table (see Balls of Steel). #10: Punch the red punching bag. The Lady Killer *************** #11: Win with a combo of three on any slot machine. The Duke Dome ************* #12: Use the copier in the trailer. The Hive ******** #13: Slap some wall breasts. You can find them throughout the mission. Duke Nukem's Titty City *********************** #14: Use the "Glory Hole" in the bathroom stall. #15: Pay the stripper on the main stage when prompted. #16: Go into the 'Private' room (4768) and put the porn DVD in the TV. #17: Get a 3-of-a-Kind or better on the video poker machine. #18: Reach round 5 on the Alien Abortion game in the arcade. #19: Win a game of Air Hockey. Crash Course ************ #20: During the mission, you come across a frisbee. Throw it. The Duke Burger *************** #21: At the start, turn around and follow the path. Smoke the cigar in the storage room. #22: In a bathroom stall in Part 1, there is a porn magazine you have to pick up. The Mighty Foot *************** #23: Use the binoculars on the observation deck. #24: In the room with the fuel, use the computer. Ghost Town ********** #25: Pick up the porn magazine in the church. Dam Top ******* #26: After the Battlelord fight, grab and throw the paper plane from the back of the bus. The Shrunk Machine ****************** #27: Look at the calendar in the room behind the double doors. You can get 'I Need a Date' here too. The Forkstop ************ #28: In the room with the power switch, there is a porn magazine behind the door. You'll get the trophy after defeating the Leech in Blowin' the Dam, so don't freak out when you don't get it in The Forkstop. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Gunslinger [0436] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Carry the gold pistol through the whole SP campaign When you get the gold pistol in The Duke Cave, just keep it on you until the last mission. If you drop it, just use chapter select and replay the mission where you dropped it and finish out the game. It would be logical to get this on your first playthrough. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sunday, Black Sunday [0437] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Shoot down the blimp above the stadium After picking up the devastator in Duke Lives, use it to shoot down the blimp flying around the stadium for this easy trophy. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Nobody Likes a Whiner [0438] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Knock out the talent at the talk show After Johnny tells you the show is cancelled for the night, walk off the stage. You'll see a guy chewing someone out. Punch him to get the trophy. Just a tid bit, this argument is a reference to when Christian Bail freaked out on the set of Terminator Salvation. You know how Duke Nukem is when it comes to easter eggs. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lots of Whacking [0439] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Win a game of Alien Abortion Alien Abortion is found in Duke Nukem's Titty City. It is basically a game of Whack-a-Mole, just to give you an idea on how to play it. You won't have trouble with this one. You'll probably even get it on your first try. Anyway, the goal is to hit as many aliens as possible during each of the five waves. This one is very easy, so you shouldn't have a problem hitting them. If you do, you can try lowering the sensitivity level for the controls. That way, the camera won't go too fast as you try to hit them. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Companion Barrel [0440] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Unlock the secret closet at the end of The Forkstop This is in Part 2. When you kill all enemies in the big area, lower the forklift and get on. Drive into the wall on the right, and raise the lift as high as it will go. Now, use it to climb up to the ledge. Turn on Duke Vision and go through the doorway. You will see a barrel with a heart on it. Grab the barrel and jump down from the ledge. Now, take the barrel and jump up to the other ledge. When you go through the doorway, turn left. You will see a heart on the floor. Drop the barrel on it and the door will open, giving you the trophy and revealing several useful items, such as beer, steroids, and a holoduke. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ One-Eyed Freak [0441] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Defeat the Cycloid The cycloid is a very easy boss. Just run around shooting him with the devastator and picking up ammo until he's dead. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Pit Champion [0442] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Bronze Description: Defeat the Battlelord in Las Vegas. This is another easy fight. You'll have to pick up an RPG, as he can only be killed with explosives. Just fire on him until you run out of ammo, pick some up, and continue this until he is dead. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Not Bad for a Human [0443] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Defeat the Alien Queen A bit tougher, but still fairly easy. At the start, run up and throw a pipe bomb at the bounce pad. It will hit another pad, sending it at the Queen. When it gets close, detonate it and she'll start attacking. Stay in the left corner when she starts to attack, as she won't be able to hit you while you're over there. Plus, there is an ammo crate for when you start to run low. Anyway, grab an RPG and start to unload on her. When she starts to attack or you run low on ammo, camp in the corner. About half way through the fight, pregnators will start to spawn. These aren't a problem though. Just take out your ripper (or whatever you're carrying as a secondary) and fire a few shots to take them out. Just repeat this, and you'll be done in no time. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A Good Dam Fight [0444] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Defeat the Battlelord on the Hoover Dam As soon as you start, make sure you grab an RPG. When the fight starts, shoot him with it until you run out of ammo, then use the crate and start shooting again. Make sure you stay behind cover when you get hit, and start shooting when you're healed. Repeat this until he goes down. There will be a Quick Time Event, and he will get back up. During this second phase, his health will go much faster, so just shoot at him until he goes down again. There will be another Quick Time Event, and you'll get the trophy after completing it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Octacide [0445] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Grade: Silver Description: Defeat the Octaking There are two parts to this battle. The first part is in The Forkstop, and the second part is in the Generator Room. The first part is pretty easy. Just jump on the machine gun and shoot at him until he attacks. Then, jump off, wait for him to attack, and get on again and start lighting him up. Repeat this until his health is gone, and he will fly off. Part 2 of this fight can be kind of a pain. You'll want to have a devastator on you to make it much easier. Run around on the crane, firing at him until he attacks. Then, sit behind the cover and wait until he's done. When he is, just start shooting him again until you run out of ammo. Use the crate behind you to refill, and keep shooting. Not too far into the fight, Octabrains will start attacking. Take them out by throwing pipe bombs or just by shooting. When they're dead, start shooting the king again and repeat this until he goes down. When, he does, he'll start pulling the crane towards him. You have to kill him before he pulls you in, which is easy. Just light him up with the devastator. In fact, the only hard part about the fight is that you have to be careful about your oxygen level. Just make sure you have an RPG before you start. Just swim around shooting it with it, and use ammo crates when necessary. Keep an eye on your oxygen level too. Try to stay on bubble vents as much as possible while fighting and just move when he attacks. Listed below are several tips that you'll have to keep in mind. #1: Get all of the Ego boosts before starting your Insane run (see I Am All That Is Man). #2: Patience. You will need a lot of it because enemies take a lot of damage, bosses take forever to kill, and as mentioned, loading times are unbearable. You WILL die during your Insane run, so you'll need a lot of patience. #3: Weapons. Always be sure to have the right weapons for the right situation, along with a decent amount of ammo. Keep pipe bombs and trip mines in mind, as they will work well in certain areas. #4: Think. Don't go running into a crowded room. Think about how you are going to deal with each situation before you actually take action. Remember how long it takes for the game to load. #5: Always keep your eyes out for ammo crates, weapons, and helpful items. #6: Cover. Always be near some so you can get down when your health is at the brink. #7: Executions. Your ego is fully restored when you perform an execution, so keep that in mind. #8: Bosses. This is, in my opinion, the ranking of bosses by their difficulty. Just so you can be prepared. When you drop down, do the same thing and just get them in a group and shoot it at them.
