This is my third contribution to GameFAQs and my first character- specific FAQ. I have decided to write this document about my favorite pilot in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. Let us proceed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MY REASONS FOR WRITING THIS [0.1] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I decided to reveal my reasons for writing this Character FAQ for a game that is now nigh-three years old. The first reason is due to the fact that I only recently came into possession of this great game. The second reason is linked to the lack of contributions for this game. And, Third reason is that I wanted to write an FAQ for my favorite pilot in the game. I hope this FAQ will assist someone who still enjoys playing this game. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CHARACTER DESCRIPTION [0.2] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Heero Yuy is the main character of the Gundam series: New Mobile Report Gundam-W(ing). He was most well-known for his complete disregard for his own life. Trained as an assassin and Mobile Suit pilot from an unspecified early age, his piloting skills were nearly incomparable. His skills as a pilot didn't go unnoticed by any of the other members of the cast. It was even mentioned at one point during the storyline that his capabilities suggested he couldn't be human. One noteworthy moment of the series was when he was examined by the Alliance's Sally Po; when it was mentioned that he had over 200 internal injuries and broken bones, but the only wounds that were tellable without the examination were the gunshot wounds as there was no way to tell by his actions that he had the other injuries. In the early portion of Gundam Wing(as it's known), Heero met the series' female lead: Relena Darlian(later Peacecraft). Initially, His intention was to kill Relena due to the fact that she had seen his face after his first encounter with OZ-pilot: Zechs Merquise. However, He repeatedly found himself unable to carry out his self-assigned mission of killing her, due to one reason or another. In fact, Heero eventually developed romantic feelings for Relena, though the couple never got to be fully fleshed out in the animated series, unfortunately. One of my favorite parts of Gundam Wing is during Heero's second encounter/fight with Zechs: When the colonies are held hostage by OZ's ruthless second-in-command Lady Une, Heero opens his cockpit-hatch before stepping out on it. He calmly states, "Mission Accepted." then self-destructs his Wing Gundam, nearly killing himself in the process. ++++++++++++++++++++++ MOBILE SUIT LIST [0.3] ++++++++++++++++++++++ Here, I will include a list of all the Mobile Suits in the game along with their max stats with Heero as the pilot(A). (I will also include their "base" max stats with no pilot(B). Note: The max for any Mobile Suit stat minus the pilot's stats is 300; the max for pilot stats is 100. Mobile Suit Recommendations: WING ZERO - This should be obvious, but Zero is the absolute best Suit for Heero. Combine the max Shot stat with Heero's automatic Sniper Skill and then just wipe out anything that gets in your way. Equip Fighting Spirit & things just get easier. Other than Zero; Epyon isn't that great for Heero, but he did pilot it in the series so I still like using it with him. Elsewise, Musha Gundam is a great Suit for almost any character and Heero's no execption. Also, Heero's good in pretty much all Shot-based Suits. Parts Recommendation: Obviously, The best parts-combination is three Control Circuits(M1 - P15). Otherwise, Three MUSOU Units(M2 - P15 or M3 - P15). These don't offer the "Special Combination" abilities that other parts- combinations do, but they offer the best stat bonuses. I personally prefer the stat bonuses from P15 because I don't really find the "Special Combination" abilities to be that useful, but it's really up to you, the player, to decide which better fits your play-style. Skill Recommentaions: Wing Zero - Heat Up(Leadership) High Tension Range Enhance Fighting Instinct (Notes: Heat Up isn't generally a great skill for Wing Zero, except that it improves the already high power of its SP Attack. Same with High Tension. Leadership supposedly boosts ALL allied characters' parameters, including your own. Fighting Instinct is, in my opinion the BEST Skill in the entire game. Range Enhance is a near-must for using Wing Zero, due to its less-than- stellar reach with its melee attacks.) Epyon - Heat Up High Tension Range Enhance(Hard Strike) Fighting Instinct (Notes: I personally still like using Range Enhance with Epyon, despite its already great range, but Hard Strike is also a good choice due to Epyon's not having any shot attacks.) Overall, I recommend Fighting Instinct for any pilot when using any Mobile Suit. Heat Up if they can acheive good combo #s. High Tension if their SP Attack is useful for your play-style. Range Enhance for using short-reach Mobile Suits. Hard Strike for Melee-based/Sniper for Shot-based. I also, Like Leadership and Counter pretty good, but I don't generally use them. ++++++++++++++++++++ F.A.Q. SECTION [0.7] ++++++++++++++++++++ Question: Can I use your guide on my website? Answer: No. Currently, GameFAQs is the only site authorized to host my guides. Question: Why did you choose to write an FAQ for Heero? Answer: Simple. He's my favorite Gundam character in the game and in general. Also, I've watched the various Gundam animated series and Gundam Wing is the only one I actually like. Question: Why do you like Gundam Wing better than ______(insert Gundam series title here)? Answer: Because I like the characters, storyline, and animation better than the other series. Question: What's your least favorite Gundam Series? Answer: Easily Turn A! That is, if it existed. Since I refuse to acknowledge its existence, however, I don't know. Question: Who's your least favorite playable pilot in the game? Answer: Hard to say as there are several I dislike; however, if I had to choose just one, I'd have to say: Haman Karn.(Note: This is, of course, ignoring Turn A as I still refuse to acknowledge its existence) Question: What's your least favorite playable Mobile Suit in the game? Answer: There's mainly just one: Master Gundam. I don't like this Mobile Suit due to its unwieldy moveset. Simply, I'm just no good at using it.(Note: This is, of course, ignoring Turn A as I still refuse to acknowledge its existence) +++++++++++++++++++++ LEGAL & CREDITS [0.8] +++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks to: Koei/Omega Force, for making this game.
