About the Writer My name is Daniel Graeme (or Graham) Stephen, otherwise known on GameFAQs as DG-le-Ste. I am only 18 years old, but I have a number of years of GTA gaming under my belt. Say what you want to say, but there are millions of kids that aren’t even 13 playing “Grand Theft Auto” games. This is what I think is a simple fact, but I‘ll leave the arguments to you. This is a guide, not a debate. Anyhoo, I come from the northeast of England, but with strong Scottish roots. I was originally born in Aberdeen, in the northeast of Scotland, until my family moved to the northeastern English town of Middlesbrough when I was very young. Most of my lifelong friends are gamers, and that includes me, and so we are a strong group when it comes to opposable thumbs. You could say GTA is my specialty. I grew up going on mad rampages on the comfort of my games console whilst playing as Carl Johnson or Claude Speed. Because of my childhood memories mostly being of this game series, it has inspired me to write these guides. I have studied subjects such as Law and Politics to a high level, which does require very good reading and writing skills. I have honed these skills into my guides. I started writing these guides in the summer of 2012, during the very start of my gap year before I went to university. This gave me a lot of spare time, and thus many of my guides have come to be. I would go into my private life, but this is unnecessary. So, instead of that, we’ll get under way. ****************************************************************************** 2. "Flying The Co-Op" This is an online Achievement that requires you to beat the Rockstar Dev.'s best time for three of the online missions. Of course, this is similar to the 100% Scores in "The Ballad of Gay Tony", but is just a standalone objective in this case. The time counter will be part of your HUD, so you will know how much time you have left. You will also have three lives per mission. What you will need for each mission is three of your friends, who are good players, and communication. You will have to take on different roles and make arrangements if you want to get the best possible time. Credits to my close friends who I played the online game with to get this Achievement. They know how greatful I am for it. ****************************************************************************** 3. The Missions I will waste no time in getting under way. The strategy for each of the three missions are below. Each one has been devised with a play-through with me and three other players. It is advised that you do each mission with the maximum amount of players allowed. I also provide our best time, so you have an idea of how long it may take you on a successful run, and you may try to beat our time for fun. Note that we are streamlining our strategy, so it's still open to change and suggestion for change. You can also set mission difficulty for Easy, Medium or Hard. This only affects your enemies - they will be better and harder to kill - and your reward at the end of it. Doing it on Easy will help you beat the time, and it won't affect the Achievement. The missions are broken down to make the strategy more concise. Knowledge of Liberty City and some spawning points for vehicles are required, so scan through the strategy and do a little research if you're unsure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3A. "Deal Breaker" ******************* /--------------------\ + Time To Beat: 7:04 + \--------------------/ /-----------------\ + Best Time: 6:51 + \-----------------/ The missions have a bit of story behind them. The task ahead is to break down the relationship between the Lost MC and the Mafia by taking their drugs. You begin at Pegorino's Mansion in Westdyke. >> Going to Acter Industrial Park ---------------------------------- You will need to split into two teams - one player goes on their own, and the rest stick together. The team of three should drive straight to the park in the vehicle provided. Use the Plumbers Skyway to get there fast. Clean driving will speed things up, too. Meanwhile, the lone player heads to the chopper at the helipad at the luxury home in northern Westdyke, on Owl Creek Ave. It will spawn in singleplayer as well as in the multiplayer, so you can locate it outside of this mission. Try to stick a clean landing, as you will need to use it later. >> Clearing The Lost --------------------- This sequence will define success or failure. The main advice to be given here is to know where each enemy is so that you can preserve your Health. The player flying the chopper wants to land on the top of the structure where the Lost are located. The other players should now split up and fight those on the ground up. You can work your way into the middle of the structure. The three players on the ground now want to take each floor - one on the ground, another on the first floor, and the third on the second floor. Once the players on the ground and first floor are finished, they want to leave the area (preferably on the Hellfury bikes on the east side of the complex) and head to eastern Acter Industrial Park. The other two players take care of the rest of the enemies. >> Finishing Up ---------------- Now that the enemies are gone, one player wants to head down to the waterfront and the other must collect the contraband packages. Once the enemies are cleared out and the packages are collected, three groups of enemies will spawn. One group will appear in the waters by boat. The player down by the waterfront will have to clear them out, whilst the other player heads back to the chopper and picks them up from their position once this group is eradicated. The second and third group spawn at eastern Acter Industrial Park, near the southernmost on-ramp to the Skyway. The other two players who left earlier will want to take them down quickly. One group is a collection of them on bikes, and the other is a van. After all of this, you now have to take the journey back. The mission won't finish until you are all back together at the Mansion. Following the GPS route takes between 1-2 minutes, so if you drive cleanly with no more than 5 minutes on the clock, you can meet the requirement. The guys in the chopper face a quicker journey to get back. Ultimately, you will rely on your shooting skills and one of your player's piloting skills with the chopper. Otherwise, there is heavy reliance on organization. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3B. "Hangman's N.O.O.S.E." *************************** /--------------------\ + Time To Beat: 2:32 + \--------------------/ /-----------------\ + Best Time: 2:29 + \-----------------/ The task for the players is to make sure that Kenny Petrovic lands safely in America. The N.O.O.S.E. will swarm in at Francis Intl. >> Getting Out Of The Airport ------------------------------ Once again, you'll need to split into two groups - three players stick together, and one goes on their own. The three players stick together to fight off the N.O.O.S.E. Meanwhile, the lone player gets on the nearby Baggage Handler and heads to the intersection of the two runways. This player will reach a N.O.O.S.E. spawning point. Whilst the three players take care of the rest of the N.O.O.S.E., this player can dispose of the reinforcements quickly. Once the lone player has done that, they will need to go to the Annihilator spawn point at the other end of the runway they're lined up on. You can locate this in singleplayer as well, so it will be easier if you search for it outside this mission if you have trouble locating it. Meanwhile, the other three players will have Petrovic in tow as he asks for transport when the N.O.O.S.E. are thinned out. Get to the second Annihilator spawn, near the first, whilst deciding who will pilot it. Make sure that the players and Petrovic are all on board. The three players can use a nearby Enforcer to for a quick fix for transport. Whoever drives the Enforcer will now be followed by Petrovic. >> Finishing Up ---------------- The lone player will touch down at the location on Charge Island. Meanwhile, the pilot of the second chopper with Petrovic wants to fly low to go faster, saving valuable seconds of time. Don't go for a clean landing. Just make sure the Annihilator goes through the objective point, and the final cutscene ensues. The lone player should be on this objective point for the game to register all four players there together. The timing is tight, so you want to concentrate on thinning out N.O.O.S.E. quickly and then getting to transport. Piloting skills are somewhat important too. As you can see with our best time, you can't afford to stick around and waste time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3C. "Bomb Da Base II" ********************** /--------------------\ + Time To Beat: 5:56 + \--------------------/ /-----------------\ + Best Time: 5:37 + \-----------------/ Petrovic seems pretty angry at an organization operating shipments through the Platypus, so he want to put a stop to it. To do this, the players must plant explosives to disable the ship. >> Acquiring The Explosives ---------------------------- First port of call is a Securicar, which I have pinned down to three locations in Algonquin - near the police station in East Holland, near the Hickey Bridge and near the Algonquin Bridge. It will help you with time if it spawns near the Algonquin Bridge, but the time limit is achievable with either location. The group will begin next to two Rebla SUV vehicles. This time, you want to stick together and head towards the Securicar. There will be two vehicles providing protection. Lay into the Securicar whilst one of the other players take care of the rest of the convoy. The team will want to split between driving the Securicar and continuing to drive the Rebla, before driving to the helipad in Westminster. Once the four players are at the helipad with the Securicar, the mission will advance. You will then be able to fly over to the Platypus in East Hook. >> Planting The Explosives --------------------------- Board the chopper, and fly as low as you can straight to the Platypus to save time. Land on the stern of the ship - the south end - without worrying about how you land. Just as long as you are able to touch down with no trouble, you are good. This is the best place to land quickly without running into the crossfire. The arrangement of enemies bears similarity to the mission "A Dish Served Cold" in the singleplayer story. There are groups of enemies on the deck, in the mess hall and kitchen, in the sleeping quarters, on the bridge, and in the hull. You will want to split into two even teams. There are two weak spots to plant the explosives - one inside the hull, and the other at the bridge controls. If you have completed "A Dish Served Cold", you will know where you are going. One team goes up the set of stairs to the sleeping quarters, and the other down the steps to the hull. I repeat that enemy arrangement is similar to the mission, so advance carefully. When all explosives are planted, you need to get off the Platypus. If you have a life left, you can use an explosive weapon to Waste yourself. Otherwise, just jump down into the water. The timing shouldn't be too tight if you work your way through enemies quickly. ****************************************************************************** 4. Credits There are a few people who I want to thank: >> Rockstar Games You create some of the best games I’ve ever played, including those outside the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise. I salute you for that. >> All Gaming Hosts Those who host my guides, I thank you for getting my work out there. I thrive on helping people, and also perceiving other ways I can go about my gaming. Cheers. >> Of course, I thank my friends for helping me devise a strategy for getting this Achievement. You've all been good sports. ****************************************************************************** 5. Goodbye! And another guide is capped off. Thank you for reading my guide.
