1. Introduction

I am MysticWeirdo also known by my real name Warren Grieder.
This guide covers two of the modes in Bejeweled 2, a puzzle game available for
the Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Marketplace. The modes covered are Puzzle Mode
and Cognito Mode. Both of these modes present the same set of 80 puzzles,
with Cognito Mode giving you a score if you don't resort to the in game hint
system.

3. Overview
******************************************************************************
The objective of both modes covered by this guide is to clear all jewels and
other objects from the 8 by 8 playing grid by making matches of three gems in
a row, destroying gems adjacent to power cubes that are used is a match (or
caught in an explosion), or destroying all gems of a given type by moving one
of them into a hyber cube.
Power cubes are formed by making matches of 4 in one line, or two intersecting
lines of 3. Hypercubes are for by making a match of 5 in one line.
Puzzle mode in and of itself is a trivial matter since all but one of the 80
puzzles can be solved by repeated selecting hint (Y button). The one that
isn't is laid out like a checker board.
The primary purpose of this guide is to provide a reference for the other mode
covered, Cognito Mode, which is unlocked after solving all 80 puzzles. The 80
puzzles from puzzle are repeated in a random order. Complicating matters is
the fact that the puzzles can have the gem colors randomized and/or be a
mirror image of the puzzle mode version. One of the achievements for the 360
requires a score of 50,000 point in this mode. While you can still use hint
you won't earn any points for the puzzle that you do this for.
To make it easier to locate the puzzle you need I'll be putting an 8 digit
search code for each puzzle. Each digit will be the number of occupied cells
in each row, starting from the top. E.g. a completely filled grid would have a
code of 88888888, while a gride with 3 cells filled in the bottom row and two
in the next two rows would have a code of 00000223. While this won't uniquely
identify each puzzle it will narrow the possible solutions down. The number
of puzzles with the same search code will indicated following the code, 27
puzzles don't have a unique code so it will be necessary to look more closely
at the grid layouts for these.
The solutions will be presented as a list of cells giving a cells co-ordinates
as (Row #, Column #) counter rows from the botton and cells from the left,
followed by the directed to move the object in the selected cells. This grid
shows how the cells are numbered in a non-mirrored puzzle.

In the case of a mirrored puzzle, it will be necessary to count the column
from the right instead and move left when right is listed, and vice versa.

4. Puzzle Solutions
******************************************************************************
These puzzles solutions are presented in the order they appear in puzzle mode.
The colors in Cognito Mode may be randomized so look for the patterns, and
watch out for a mirror image.
The solutions are not necessarily unique. Some puzzles have multiple
solutions.
NOTE: The solutions for some puzzles that appear to be symmetrical may break
in cases where power or hyper cubes form following a cascade. In this
situations it may be necessary to start from the beginning of the puzzle,
count columns from the right and swap the left and right moves.
Notes on the notation used for the initial grid layout:

Blue, Red, Green, White, Orange, Yellow, and Purple represent gems of that
color in Puzzle Mode.
*Blue*, *Red*, *Green*, *White*, *Orange*, *Yellow*, and *Purple* represent
gems of that color in Puzzle Mode.
Hyper is used to indicate a hypercube.
ROCK indicates an inert rock that needs to be destroyed in an explosion.
BOMB-# indicates a Bomb that will explode the move after it's counter reaches
0, the initial value of the counter is includes in place of the #.
Cells with no text are empty.

5. Note of Xbox Live Leaderboards for Cognito Mode

If you want you score for Cognito Mode to appear on the Xbox Live Leaderboard,
make sure to pause the game and return to the main menu after completing the
79th puzzles (3rd puzzle on Level 20). If you complete all 80 your score
won't be saved.
There is some variability in the score depending on the order the puzzle
appear in. Some of the puzzles have a higher scoring potential than the
others, the higher the level they appear in the more they'll be worth (unless
it's the 80th puzzle which doesn't get counted).

I regret the I will be unable to help with the other modes of this game, while
I did get lucky with Classic mode to get high enough to get the achievement
for that and unlock Twilight Mode, I don't have a good strategy to do it
consistantly. Action Mode has eluded me so far, and I lack the extreme
patience needed for Endless modes, so I haven't seen Hyper or Finity Modes.
