If you want just a basic checklist to help you get through the game as easily as possible, I can give you that. And if you want a walkthrough that provides you with some hints before giving you the outright answer, I can provide that as well. The Hint's Walkthrough is first, solutions to the hints are in the middle and the checklist walkthrough is at the very end. =Credit= Obviously I owe a great deal of credit to Shining Gate Software for making this awesome game series. I also need to thank the community on the Decay Game Facebook page who helped guide me through (and in one case flat out give me the answer to) some of the more confusing parts of this game. ==Hints Walkthrough== /Starting Out- Floor 1/ What should I do at the beginning? 1. You're pretty hopeless, huh? 2. Maybe you should play the tutorial. 3. You're making Shining Gate Software cry. 4. What do you want me to give you the answer on a plate? 5. Maybe you need a taste of your own medicine. Can I interact with anything outside the bars? 1. Have you tried going through them? 2. Is there any way around the bars? 3. Have you tried looking at all angles? 4. This might be an excercise in futility. 5. Well, what else can you do? How do I get through the barricade? 1. well you certainly can't move it. 2. Look around, carefully. 3. Climbing doesn't look like the way. 4. I think there's a hole in your reasoning. 5. How good are you at limbo? /Floor B1/ What do I do with the ring near the eyes? 1. You'll see a lot of these. 2. Probably part of some puzzle. 3. Do you have the DRAWINGS yet? 4. Read the first DRAWING you got. 5. Do those look like tears to you? How do I figure out the fan code? 1. If you just got here, you've a ways to go before you know. 2. Have you been to the room covered in photos yet? 3. You took a photo as a souvenir, so why not examine it? 4. The story on the back isn't just scary, it's a clue. 5. Look for the numerals. How do I get into the room with the bloody lock? 1. You might need a key. 2. Have you turned on the fan yet? 3. Envelopes are usually meant to be opened right? 4. Now piece it together, buddy. 5. I can't think of another hint. /Floor B2/ What do I do with the ring in the moonlight? 1. You'll see a lot of these. 2. Probably part of some puzzle. 3. Do you have the DRAWINGS yet? 4. Read the first DRAWING you got. 5. Well you won't get sunburnt. What's with the blinking portraits? 1. Seems significant doesn't it? 2. Wait... is that a pattern? 3. Well, as you only have two eyes yourself... 4. Maybe you can find the subject of these paintings later on? 5. Yes, it does matter. What's behind the brick wall? 1. Only one way to find out. 2. Can't get by with your hands? 3. If only you had some heavy duty equipment. 4. Everythings in pieces around here. 5. Hopefully it comes together for you. How do I get into the room with the dogs on it? 1. Maybe you need a key? 2. Have you been to the room with the statue's head? 3. You know how to solve that puzzle right? 4. Well once you get what you need, you know how to get what you need. 5. It should all work out for you now. What do I do in the room with all the photos? 1. Try clicking around, see what happens. 2. Holy crap, did they just wink at you? 3. All of them with their right eye... that's significant. 4. Maybe there's something on the right wall? 5. Does one of those photos look scuffed up to you? What time do I set the clock to? 1. Time is an illusion. 2. Did they write that message twice? 3. Hey, I bet one of the paintings tells you. 4. How good are you at analog time? 5. Hope this doesn't bar you from finishing the game... /Floor B3/ What do I do with the ring near the portraits? 1. You'll see a lot of these. 2. Probably part of some puzzle. 3. Do you have the DRAWINGS yet? 4. Read the first DRAWING you got. 5. Those guys look like they're watching you... What do I do with the ring near the heart? 1. You'll see a lot of these. 2. Probably part of some puzzle. 3. Do you have the DRAWINGS yet? 4. Read the first DRAWING you got. 5. Don't get hit with cupid's arrow. What do I do with the statue's head? 1. Well, take a closer look? 2. Those eyes look a little off to me. 3. Wait? Didn't you see something with blinking eyes earlier? 4. Was that some kind of hint? 5. Poke 'em in the eye! What do I do with the butterfly? 1. Admire it's beauty? 2. It's best to just leave it be. 3. No seriously, I'm not even joking. 4. It's colored red. Kind of reminds me of the herring of the same color. 5. Dude, there's no "solution" entry for this one. It's pointless. How do I get through the door maze? 1. It will require careful documentation. 2. Make sure you have plenty of paper. 3. Read your notes first. 4. Make sure they're in the right order too. 5. I normally number my pages in the bottom right, but this person prefers the exact opposite. /Finale- Floor 1/ How do I finish the game? 1. Have you tried every room? 2. Can't go back the way you came, huh? 3. Try looking at the other rooms from before. 4. Maybe you can go somewhere you couldn't before. 5. Check out the peepholes. /Coin Location Hints/ 1. Low to the ground in a room with poor shelving. 2. Hiding in a drawer in a room where you are being watched. 3. In the corner of a room where you face the illusion. 4. On a tablecloth in the room that was hardest to reach. 5. The final one must have fallen from the pocket of a limbo contestant. =SOLUTIONS= /Starting Out- Floor 1/ What should I do at the beginning? - Take the medicine on the table in the dish. Can I interact with anything outside the bars? - No How do I get through the barricade? - Climb under it, there is a gap near the bottom right. /Floor B1/ What do I do with the ring near the eyes? - When you have the drawings of flowers, set the one with the tears here. How do you figure out the fan code? - The numerals in the story of the document, in order, are the code. 9, 6, 1, 5 How do I get into the room with the bloody lock? - Use the key found in the envelope, which you can obtain by turning on the fan. /Floor B2/ What do I do with the ring in the moonlight? - When you have the drawings of flowers, set the one with flames here. What's with the blinking portraits? - The pattern is used to solve a puzzle later on with the statue's head. What's behind the brick wall? - A note, which can only be obtained by smashing it with the repaired sledgehammer. Combine the wooden handle and the metal block in the inventory screen to fix it. How do I get into the room with the dogs on it? - Get the key from the room with the statue in it on B3. What do I do in the room with all the photos? - Click around until the portraits wink at you, then head to the right wall. Pick up the photo near the upper left that has a scratch on it. What time do I set the clock to? - Set the clock to the time you noticed in the room on B3 (3:35:45, or for those who struggle with analog time, Hour Hand 3, Minute Hand 7, Second Hand 9) /Floor B3/ What do I do with the ring near the portraits? - When you have the drawings of flowers, set the one with the eye here. What do I do with the ring near the heart? - When you have the drawings of flowers, set the one with the arrow here. What do I do with the statue's head? - Poke the eyes in the pattern from the blinking portraits earlier. Left, right, left, left, right. How do I get through the door maze? - Use the directions from the notes, and make sure you read them in the right order. The arrow solution is: left, straight, right(x3), straight, left (x2), straight. /Finale- Floor 1/ How do I finish the game? - Look at the peephole in the room opposite the room with the red light. (Room #1). ==Checklist Walkthrough== This is a chronological walkthrough. Note even though these are probably not the technical names, I am addressing the starting floor as Floor 1 and all subsequent floors as basement levels. /Floor 1/ 1. Look at the dish on the desk. 2. Take your medicine. 3. After cutscene, turn around. 4. Leave the room. 5. Turn right. 6. Head down the hall and enter the door to the left, under the red light. 7. Examine the small patch on the bottom right of the hallway. 8. Enter. 9. Go down the stairs. /FLoor B1/ 1. At the bottom of the stairs examine the message on the door. 2. After the cutscene enter the door. 3. At the end of the hall, turn right and go down these stairs. /FLoor B2/ 1. Take the DRAWING above the vent. 2. Turn right. 3. Enter this door. 4. Go straight. 5. Grab the NOTE on the wall. 6. Turn left. 7. Enter the room. 8. Notice the pattern the portraits make (left right left left right) 9. Leave this room. 10. Go down the stairs. /Floor B3/ 1. Take the WOODEN HANDLE from the chair. 2. Enter the door on the right. 3. Click the eyes on the statue to match the pattern (left right left left right) 4. Examine the safe that opened. 5. Take the KEY. 6. Return to Floor B2. /Floor B2- Revisited (1st)/ 1. Head down the hall as if you were returning to where you found the DRAWING. 2. Examine the door on the left with the pictures of the dog on it. 3. Use the KEY. 4. Enter the room. 5. COIN: Look in the red drawer on the right side of the initial view. Open it to recieve the coin. 6. Examine the photos on the back wall or left wall long enough and they will eventually blink to the right. 7. Head to the right wall. 8. Take the PHOTO with the scratch on it (left side of the right wall). 9. In the inventory examin the PHOTO. Turn it around to detach the DOCUMENT. 10. Read (or listen) to the DOCUMENT and take note of the numbers. (9615). 11. Return to Floor B1. /Floor B1- Revisited (1st)/ 1. Enter the white door in the back (next to the drawings of the eyes). 2. Examine the box in the back. 3. Select the switches to enter the combination (9615). 4. Select the option to use the handle. 5. The fan will blow the envelope to you. 6. Take the ENVELOPE. 7. In the inventory screen, examine the envelope. Open it. 8. You will get the KEY. 9. Exit this room and head down the hall. 10. Examine the door on the left. 11. Use the KEY. 12. Enter the room. 13. Examine the chair. 14. COIN: Just behind the chair legs against the left wall is another coin. 15. Take the METAL BLOCK. 16. Turn around to leave and take the NOTE. 17. In the inventory, combine the WOODEN HANDLE and the METAL BLOCK to make the SLEDGEHAMMER. 18. Return to Floor B2. /Floor B2- Revisited (2nd)/ 1. Enter the room with the blinking eyes. 2. Turn left and examine the far wall. 3. Use the SLEDGEHAMMER on the wall. 4. Examine the pipe to take the NOTE. 5. Return to Floor B3. /Floor B3- Revisited (1st)/ 1. Head through the door in front of you. 2. Save your game. 3. Examine the opened closet (note, if you came here before, it's the door that had the red butterfly on it). 4. DIALOGUE TREE: In short, for the optimal solution, select "No, I'm not your mother" and then "Who are you?" For a full dialogue tree see the end of this walk through. 5. Examine the two NOTES in your inventory that have arrows. 6. Note the number in the upper left of the page to determine the correct order of the two notes. 7. The arrow solution is: left, straight, right(x3), straight, left (x2), straight. 8. Enter the door at the end of the hallway to enter the door maze. 9. Use the arrow solution above to make your way through it. 10. In the new room, turn around. 11. Take the DRAWINGS. 12. Turn back around and examine the table. 13. COIN: The coin is sitting on the blue tablecloth. 14. Use the DRAWING with the ARROW on it. 15. Before leaving this room, examine around the corner. 16. Take note of the time on the clock in the background (3:35:45) 17. Return to the previous room. 18. Examine the ring on the table. 19. Use the DRAWING with the EYE on it. 20. Return to Floor B2. /Floor B2- Revisited (3rd)/ 1. Enter the room with the blue moonlight coming from it. 2. Examine the table at the end. 3. Use the DRAWING with the FLAME on it. 4. Return to Floor B1. /Floor B1 - Revisited (2nd)/ 1. Examine the ring under the painted eyes. 2. Use the DRAWING with the TEAR on it. 3. Return to Floor B2. /Floor B2- Revisited (4th)/ 1. Enter the vent in the first room. 2. COIN: Turn around and grab the coin sitting in the corner underneath the shelf. 3. Set the clock to the time you noticed in the room on B3 (3:35:45, or for those who struggle with analog time, Hour Hand 3, Minute Hand 7, Second Hand 9) 4. Return to Floor 1. /Floor 1 Revisited (1st)/ 1. COIN: After you crawl through the hole again, turn around and examine it one last time. Carefully search around here to obtain the coin. (It is on the bottom left of the screen partially obscured by the boards. Search carefully). 2. Return to the room where you started. 3. Turn around. 4. Examine the closet. 5. Leave. 6. Head down the hall. 7. Examine the window latch to Room 1 (at the end of the hall on the right), opposite where you entered to go downstairs before. 8. Enjoy the credits. /DIALOGUE TREE/ Mother, is that you? (A) No, I'm not your mother. - Oh... - My mother said I shouldn't talk to strangers, but I like you. - Conversation continues to next Option. (A) ... - Door shuts. (X) Who are you? - Your new best friend. - Creepy sequence and door shuts. (Y) What are you? - Door shuts. (X) ...yes. - LIAR! - (door shuts and cannot be opened). (Y) What the hell are you? - (no response and the door shuts and cannot be opened.)
