[]==========================================================================[] [] Legendary Weapons FAQ [] []==========================================================================[] -------------::[A Short FAQ on Obtaining the 10 Legendary Weapons]::---------- Hi, this is Trane. I decided to write up a brief FAQ on obtaining the Legendary Weapons as I didn't see one done, and feel that the purpose of GameFAQs is to have quick reference to what you need- not to have a vague idea and then search for it. So for those of you who need help finding the weapons, lets start this thing. Note: This FAQ uses the Find function! Ctrl+F on your keyboard, type in the quicksearch tag (such as VSHH), enter, and voila! Quick and easy. A. Version History [VSHH] B. About the Legendary Weapons [LEAB] C. Melee [LEMM] I. []==========================================================================[] [] B. About the Legendary Weapons [LEAB] [] []==========================================================================[] The Legendary Weapons (henceforth referred to as "legends", "Legendaries", etc.) are one-time weapons that are among the most powerful in the game- though not nearly the game-breakers they were in the first Fable, they're still incredibly powerful comparably (especially the Daichi). While they do not necessarily have the highest damage ratios (some of them being blatantly lower than their "Master" counterparts), some have *exclusive* weapon augments and may even have three augmentations, a feat otherwise impossible. Is it worth getting them? For completionists, of course. They also sell for a nice chunk of gold, so if you must you can sell them. The Maelstrom can be gotten before you even finish the "Hero of Strength" quest, and with its nice stats can get you through the first half (at least!) of the game without you having to worry about spending gold on weapons. Not to mention the fact that the Daichi is probably the most destructive weapon in the game, barring possibly the Red Dragon. Besides, they're not hard to get- there's no reason not to go for it. []==========================================================================[] [] C. Melee [LEMM][] []==========================================================================[] First off, we'll go over the melee classifaction of Legendarys. /obvious [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ I. The Rising Sun ] [RISN] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Cleaver Base Value: 4050 Damage: 61, Cutting Speed: Normal Augments: Righteous Violence - Inflicts greater damage to evil beings (i.e., banshees or shadows). Description: This magnificent Cleaver belonged to Roamer, the greatest Hero from a long-extinct Southern Samarkand tribe for whom dawns were sacred. His combat style involved whirling among his enemies, shredding anyone who came in contact with The Rising Sun. How to Obtain: Those familiar with the first Fable, this is very similar to getting the Sentinus. This isn't a difficult one to obtain at all, aside from possibly amassing enough gold to get it (though by the end of the game you'll have gold to burn, so if you must, wait). Also, a quick note before actually telling you how to get this thing- mild spoilers will follow- if you do "The Oakfield Massacre" quest and leave for the Spire, when you return you will not be able to get this weapon. I recommend getting this BEFORE you do the Crucible, if you can amass the gold to. If you choose to do "Defender of the Light", however, you can get this weapon throught the game at any time. So, go to the Temple of Light (it's in Oakfield) and donate 1,000 gold. You'll recieve some weird title (Harvest Benefactor I think it's called), but more importantly you can now access the legendary cleaver simply by donating 10,000 Gold or more between noon (12 PM for you idiots out there) and 1 PM (or 13 PM for you EU readers out there). You'll receieve the weapon. The augment on this weapon, while exclusive, is kind of gimmicky in the sense that it sounds neat, but doesn't really help too much with anything. Righteous Violence only takes effect on "truly evil" creatures- this excludes Bandits, Balverines, and anyone you're not supposed to be killing as a good guy. Since Bandits are probably the most common enemy in the game (barring MAYBE Hollow Men), I don't see this as being a hugely helpful augment. But you good guys out there will probably disagree. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ II. The Maelstrom ] [MLSM] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Longsword Base Value: 3375 Damage: 58, Cutting Speed: Normal Augments: Scourge - Inflicts greater damage to lawful beings (citizens and guards). Description: This longsword has been forged by the First Shadows themselves, being far purer in their evil and their power than the ordinary shadows that haunt Albion. When the founders of the Temple of Shadows tried to summon one of these beings, they were unable to control. Before it disappeared into its own dimension, it slaughtered every one of them for their insolence, and left its instrument of punishment behind as a warning to others. How to Obtain: Another little allusion to the first Fable, those who know how to get Skorm's Bow will know essentially how to get this guy. However, like its opppositely-aligned sister, the Maelstrom cannot be obtained if some criteria is met. Oh, and...mild spoilers coming up. The Temple of Shadows NEEDS TO HAVE AN ATTENDANT FOR THE WHEEL. For this reason, I recommend getting this weapon before doing the Crucible. If you choose to do "Defender of the Light" and then set out for the Spire, you will NOT be able to get this weapon when you return. Make it easy and do it before you go to the Spire- it's easy enough to get good points over there anyway. Also, this is helpful. One of the possible "sacrifices" on the wheel, the Gender Change, actually allows you to sacrifice the same people twice in a row, assuming they stay on the circle. This is useful for racking up the points quicker than normal. The same is not true for the chicken transforming one, sadly. Now, on to how to actually get this guy. You need to rack up 2000 (!) "Shadow Points"- of which are basically a score system telling you how many sacrifices you've got, or for people like me, an approximation of how many people you need to sacrifice until you can get this weapon. The point breakdown is as follows, keep in mind these are general estimates. This table also addresses how much Gold and +evil alignment you get. ============================================================== ||Person | Points | Gold | Evil Alignment || ||_________|______________|_____________|___________________|| ||---------|--------------|-------------|-------------------|| ||Villager | 15-45 | ~30 | +5-10 || ||------------------------|-------------|-------------------|| ||Monk | 100-150 | ~60 | +~20 || ||------------------------|-------------|-------------------|| ||Spouse | 200+ | ~100 | +50-70 || ||---------|--------------|-------------|-------------------|| ============================================================== This table is fairly accurate, however, keep in mind there are many variables that can't really effeciently be measured. Each person's disposition towards you weighs in there, as well as how much time you've been with your spouse, whether or not the Monk likes you, your alignment prior to the sacrifice, how many people you are sacrificing at one time, etc. While not 100% reliable, this chart vaguely illustrates how much evil, gold, and time this weapon will cost ya. So you've sacrificed 2000 points of people, right? Okay, now just sacrifice your spouse between midnight (12AM or 24AM) and 1AM. Not hard. This is a cool weapon in my opinion- for darker-aligned players, this is a must! Practically speaking, this weapon isn't too useful- there aren't any lawful storyline characters that are affected by the augment. The damage is decent, however, so it's still a far cry from a bad weapon. Cool augment affect, too (it glows with blood!). [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ III. The Calavera ] [CLVR] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Mace Base Value: 4385 Damage: 67, Blunt Speed: Slow Augments: Flame - Inflicts fire damage on enemies. Description: It was first wielded by Vipress, a half-warrior, half-witch, whose beauty was equaled only by her strength and her wrath. Men worshipped her, and she led many of them into some of the most savage battles Albion has ever witnessed. How to Obtain: Get behind the Westcliff Demon Door. For those of you not in the know, this Demon Door requires you to be maximum corrupt (it might work with a little less than full, but I recommend just going all the way) and then it will allow you to enter. Basically, corrupt yourself by eating corrupting foods (there are too many to list; however, to name a few- meat, pies, alcohol, fish), max out the rent on any property you own (set the meter to 100%), and/or find beds and sleep for seven days (adds +10 corrupt...). It's pretty simple really. This weapon is easy to obtain, but it isn't really great. Slow weapons are strictly inferior to normal/fast, and the damage this dishes out hardly even makes up for the glaring weakness. But, eh. It's legendary! [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ IV. The Hammerthyst ] [HMRT] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Hammer Base Value: 4725 Damage: 78, Blunt Speed: Slow Augments: Barkskin- Resistance to damage is increased, but you'll scar more often. Description: The origins of this gorgeous gem-headed warhammer are shrouded in mystery. It has resurfaced many times in history, and served many masters, all of which were said to become invincible when wielding it. According to popular myth, it is the hammer that finds and chooses its next master. How to Obtain: Another boring, easy, objective with a sub-par legendary reward. Open up the Demon Door in Oakfield (it's near the Temple of Light) and you'll find it. To open the door, you need to use the expression "Blow Kiss" on the door. Alternatively, propose to someone (obviously who has a red heart above their head) in front of him and that will work too. This weapon is strictly better than the Calavera, but that doesn't say much. I think this is pretty exclusively a completionist goal. Stop putting "slow" weapons in, Lionhead! Nobody uses them! Jeez. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ V. The Chopper ] [CHPR] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Axe Base Value: 16,200 Damage: 86, Cutting Speed: Slow Augments: Discipline - Earns you more EXP in combat (roughly 1.2x multiplier). StoneSkin- Makes you more resistant to scarring. Description: This axe belonged to the legendary Crucible fighter Mad-dog "The Strangler" McGraw, who set the standard by which all other competitors should be judged. The day he retired, he promised to hand over his beloved weapon to anyone who could break his records, never believing such a day would come. Note: Minor spoilers in this section. How to Obtain: After completing The Crucible once, you can complete it any number of times after returning from the Spire. Get 8 Perfect Rounds and you are rewarded with this weapon. Pretty straightforward. The Crucible is honestly a joke (just like this weapon, jeez), but getting eight perfect rounds is mildly demanding. Most of the rounds are pretty simple- i.e., the Beetles and the Balverine rounds- but the two Bandit ones closer to the end are a bit challenging if you can't get in a groove. Though it may not be neccessarily, I'll walk ya through it. ============================================================== ||Round | Record | Enemy || ||_________|______________|_________________________________|| ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 1 | 1:45 | Beetles || ||------------------------|---------------------------------|| || 2 | 1:50 | Hobbes || ||------------------------|---------------------------------|| || 3 | 2:25 | Hobbes + Barrels || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 4 | 2:30 | Hollow Men || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 5 | 2:10 | Bandits + Snipers + Barrels || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 6 | 2:00 | Bandits + Snipers + Barrels || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 7 | 2:35 | Balverines + White Balverine || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| || 8 | 1:50 | Rock Troll + Hobbes || ||---------|--------------|---------------------------------|| ============================================================== Anyway, the first two rounds are cakewalks. If you can't perfect them, you probably won't be getting this weapon. Round three can get annoying if the Hobbes with explosives on their backs get near you and detonate, costing you some health but more importantly, a solid five seconds or so. Even so, rounds three and four are both pretty simple. Round five is probably the toughest round in the Crucible, I actually didn't perfect this my first run through. The key is to stay up top with a ranged weapon and headshot everything as it spawns- the spawns are predictable and obvious thanks to the glowing light, and if you have Dextrous Styles maxed out you can headshot with ease. It goes super-easy and super quick just camping a corner up top and headshotting them all day. Any other method is asking for trouble, in my eyes. Round six is incredibly difficult if you don't know how to use the arena traps. Stepping on the colored panels on the floor allow you to clear the sides of the arena with ease. It's pretty key to a quick round (I did mine in about 40 seconds if I recall correctly). The Balverines are cake. The Troll is close. It's tough to get this final round, especially if you get nervous under the pressure of perfecting all the other rounds. It's still nothing too difficult, just dodge the projectiles and ignore the hobbes- if there are enough of them to be detrimental, you're not going to perfect it any way, so yeah. Pretty easy weapon though. Another slow weapon so you know my opinion on that, if you've read this far. Discipline is cool but I had already maxed my Hero's abilities out by the time I got this, and Stoneskin is neat I guess. Meh. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ VI. The Daichi ] [DAIH] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Katana Base Value: 59,400 Damage: 96, Cutting Speed: Fast Augments: Devastation- Inflicts additional damage. Bewitching- Makes you more attractive. Killerwatt- Inflicts electric damage on enemies. Description: This exceptional sword once belonged to the legendary Zuna Daichi, a female warrior monk whose exploits in Eastern Samarkand have become part of popular myth. There are stories that she may have visited Albion once, while on a quest. Perhaps it was in this land that she died, and here that she left her katana. How to Obtain: Complete the Archon's Knot, exit, and then look to your right- there will be a chest, which contains this mega-weapon. Archon's Knot is a hidden dungeon in Brightwood. After you've bought Brightwood Tower, walk up to the area with the cullis gate on it. To the left of it is a little hole in the wall- jump here, and you will plummet to the Archon's Knot. Archon's Knot is a short, simple dungeon with only a couple of rooms, a few puzzles, and an Expression statue. Most of the puzzles rely on spike traps and the little target-switches that appear throughout the game. The first spike room has candles on the wall in front of you- they map out the route you must take for the spike trap to deactivate and for you to continue. The expression statue's expression is "Bloodlust Roar", so use it when necessary. For more information and help on the Archon's Knot, refer to the Appendix section (which is [ARKN]). The Daichi is, hands down, the best melee weapon in the game. It's hard to contest the highest melee damage (plus devastation), bewitching, its quick strikes and even high value. Plus, it looks cool. Killerwatt is a nice bonus as well, but honestly it doesn't matter too much as its other abilities alone transcend every other weapon in the game. This is a must for anyone who wants the best. []==========================================================================[] [] D. Ranged [LEMM][] []==========================================================================[] Well, that's all for the melee legends. Moving on, the four remaining ranged weapons. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ I. The Red Dragon ] [RDRG] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Pistol [Turret] Base Value: 13,500 Damage: 41, Bullet Speed: Normal Augments: Devastation- Inflicts additional damage. Lucky Charm- You inflict more damage and take less damage. Description: This unique and exotic pistol once belonged to Wicker, the finest shot Albion had ever seen. Until Reaver appeared. Wicker visited Reaver and challenged him to an honorable duel to decide who had the greatest skill. Reaver's reply was to shoot him in the head. How to Obtain: Get 175+ points at the Westcliff shooting range. This may seem like an incredibly difficult task at first, but after two or three tries you should notice quite an improvement in your score (my first try I got an 85, two tries later I had 184), hopefully enough to earn you this super-cool legendary weapon. Obtaining this little gem is far from an easy task- in all honesty, I thought this was the hardest legendary to pick up. As for tips, make sure you are constantly aware of where the targets are popping up- know where the guys you're supposed to shoot are. Make sure to always go for headshots, because I'm almost certain that you can't do this quest going for all bodyshots. Be sure to watch for a little possibly unintended glitch- sometimes the same cutout will pop up four or five times in a row, in the same place, right after shooting it- watch for these, as it's easy points. Be sure to take second in the shooting range at least once (a score under 175 but above 149) as to acquire a hero doll. This weapon is one of my personal favorites. The rate of fire on this little guy is ridiculous, you can tear apart any enemy in under a second if you have a good trigger finger. This is probably the best legendary ranged weapon, and rightly so given the challenge the shooting range can be. Obviously while the augments on this weapon aren't necessarily unique, they are certainly really helpful. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ II. The Enforcer ] [ENFR] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Blunderbuss Base Value: 17,550 Damage: 177, Bullet Speed: Normal Capacity: 1 Reload Time: 1.0 seconds Range: 20 Augments: Barkskin- Resistance to damage is increased, but you'll scar more often. Lucky Charm- You inflict more damage and take less damage. Description: This is perhaps the most powerful blunderbuss ever assembled, built by a guard by the name of Giles. Before retiring to work on a family and raise a farm, Giles was the terror of all outlaws, and was famous for his commitment and single-mindedness even in the face of insurmountable odds. How to obtain: There are two ways to get this depending on how you've aligned your character. We'll first go over the good way. Assuming you've completed "Cold Comfort Farmer" and "Blind Date", you'll have the option to buy Giles' Farm. Upon obtaining Giles' Farm, you'll get a letter and, more importantly, the Cellar Key. Use the cellar key in the left-most, big building, then follow your dog to the dig spot. For the Evil alignment, after the "Red Harvest" quest, return to Brightwood after returning from the Spire. Your dog has you dig on a gravestone outside the little ramshackle building (Giles' grave, ironically), and you'll now obtain the Portcullis Key. GO behind the building and you'll find the obvious entrance. Follow your dog and you'll find the Enforcer. well, the thing sounds like a cannon, but aside from that I can't honestly say this is a great weapon. It boasts ridiculous damage, but you'll never see it put up any stats like that when you're actually on the battlefield, because there's a bullet-spread for the weapon not unlike a primitive shotgun. From any distance greater than 10 feet, this guy falls shy damage-wise of pretty much every other legendary ranged weapon. So if you like running right next to your enemies and blowing them to pieces- this thing is disgusting at close range- then this is for you. If you prefer your ranged weapons to, um, actually be useful at range, then don't bother actually using this legendary. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ III. The Rammer ] [RMMR] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Crossbow Base Value: 54,000 Damage: 119, Arrow Speed: Normal Capacity: 1 Reload: 0.75 seconds Range: 45 Augments: Ghoul- Damage dealt to enemies restores your health. Flame- Inflicts fire damage on enemies. Bewitching- Makes you more attractive. Description: This extraordinarily powerful crossbow belonged to the heroic farmer Sabre, who protected his land from bandits and invaders using the weapon he had constructed himself. It was said that a shot from The Rammer was like a stampede of wild animals crushing its target. How to Obtain: Shoot all 50 of the gargoyles. You can check how many you've gotten in each region by highlighting the region on your Quests/Maps page, then looking on the information below the map. I have a list of the Gargoyle locations at the end of this FAQ. It's not here for the interest of space. The weapon itself? Pretty neat. I used this exclusively and perfected the Crucible in ~500 seconds. This thing has Ghoul which to an extent means you will never die, considering headshots fully restore your health. There's no better crossbow than this, in my opinion, plus, I'm pretty sure there's an achievement for all 50 Gargoyles, so, pick this up. [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] [ IV. The Perforator ] [PRFR] [<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>] Weapon Type: Rifle [Turret] Base Value: 59,400 Damage: 81, Bullet Speed: Normal Capacity: 6 Reload: 0.75 seconds Range: 60 Augments: Fear Itself- Citizens are scared of you. Discipline- Earns you more EXP in combat (roughly 1.2x multiplier). Barkskin- Resistance to damage is increased, but you'll scar more often. Description: The most powerful turret rifle ever constructed. The Perforator first belonged to Maniac Mary, a bandit queen who lived around 150 years ago, and who managed to unite hundreds of bandit gangs under her banner. Inevitably, such a gathering of villains resulted in a violent uprising as her lieutenants attempted to take the rifle, and the leadership, from her. After her fall, the weapon passed through the hands of dozens of bandits, until it was lost, seemingly forever. How to Obtain: Open the Demon Door in Wraithmarsh. This one is incredibly easy, too- just get a crowd of about 8-10 people and bring them with you to the Demon Door, listen to his play, then enter the door. Use the "Follow" expression on villagers, then once you have enough, teleport (or "fast-travel, whatever you want to call it) to Wraithmarsh's Drowned Farm. Run backwards from Bloodstone (as if you were going towards the original Cullis Gate), until you find a split in the road- take this right and go to the Door. Ignore any enemies you might fight- it's not worth risking your followers. Alternatively, I guess you could just go from the Brightwood Cullis Gate on top of Brightwood Tower, but I'm not sure if there are any enemies in between there and the Demon Door. That'd be quicker, most likely, but it doesn't really matter too much anyway. If you're below about 50,000 renown, I don't know if you'll be able to amass a crowd big enough to please the Demon Door, but I'm not quite 100% on the exact renown you need. Wait until you finish the final storyline quest before getting this. The weapon is certainly interesting enough! I prefer the Red Dragon to this in a strictly-turret duel, but this is still a cool enough weapon to see for your self. The augments are't really anything too special (as with the Chopper, it's probably too late in the game for Discipline to be of any real use), but the rate of fire and range are both exceptional on this weapon. Gargoyle Locations [GGYL] ____________________________________________________________________________ There are 50 Gargoyles spread throughout Albion, all of which need to be shot for you to obtain access to the Rammer in The Gargoyle's Trove. You can easily tell when one is nearby thanks to their nasally voice insulting you constantly. It's not too much of a challenge to get them all, additonally, there are other guides probably far better suited to find this in, but I decided to put this in here anyway for ease of access. There will probably be some minor spoilers in this section. Be warned! Note: When I say "north" or "south" and such, I mean corresponding to the map, not relative to where you may be looking. So learn to use your map. --------------------------------/\ Bloodstone < > --------------------------------\/ 1) Looking out of the Waterfront, swim all the way to the right. There will be a small (very small) beach to shoot the Gargoyle on some rocks. 2) The crane on the sand/patches to the south. 3) Go to the second level of the town and get behind the boathouse, it's on a fence. 4) During the "Treasure Island of Doom" quest, on Lion's Head Isle, this one's on a ledge near a waterfall. After you dive down and come up on a path. --------------------------------/\ Bower Lake < > --------------------------------\/ 5) By the ruins near the Bower Lake Tomb. 6) Travel north on Brightwood Road and you'll find a ruin by a Silver Key Chest, there are actually TWO Gargoyles here. The first is on the middle of the ruin facing the Chest... 7) The left tower of the ruin you just shot the previous Gargoyle. 8) Go west from the Gypsy camp, go towards the waterfall, he's in plain sight on the wall. 9) In the Tomb of Heroes, walk through the second room (with the pool in the middle), then in the third room turn around and look above the doorway you just came through. --------------------------------/\ Brightwood < > --------------------------------\/ 10) Southeastern side of the map, near the Tower, there's an island with a small tower. He's on here. This guy is easily seen from the end of Archon's Knot, where the Daichi is located. 11) Westcliff Road, a structure with three arches. 12) At the portal to Nightmare Hollow (the bed at the top of Brightwood Tower), look through the glass to see a Gargoyle on an archway. Obviously, you need to have bought the Tower to obtain this. 13) Jump down to Archon's Knot from Brightwood Tower. Get to land, turn and you'll see it. 14) At the Forsaken Fortress, the "arena" area (stairs on both sides) go up the stairs to the right and you'll see it on a pillar. --------------------------------/\ Bowerstone Cemetary < > --------------------------------\/ 15) The Graveyard. Up the first steps, then look left towards the tomb- on the roof. 16) The Graveyard again, up the first two stairwells, then turn right and look at a large tomb. 17) Find the highest tomb in the graveyard (it's in the southeast portion), then look at the little house near it. 18) Complete "Love Hurts" and buy the Bowerstone Mansion, there's one on the wall near the entrance to Shelley Crypt. 19) In Shelley Crypt again, in the room with a bunch of switches, look to the right before you exit it. --------------------------------/\ Bowerstone Market < > --------------------------------\/ 20) Up the stairs on Bowerstone's outer wall (they're near the shop on the right when you first walk into Bowerstone), near the gate. 21) Eastern side, get underneath the bridge, it's on a wall. 22) Bowerstone Coach House (it's some house in Bowerstone, just search them). 23) Second floor of the World of Chairs furniture shop. --------------------------------/\ Bowerstone Old < > --------------------------------\/ 24) Exiting the town towards Rookridge, look to the top right water tower. 25) Southwest road, above a staircase in a house. The Archon's Knot Walkthrough [ARKN] ____________________________________________________________________________ For those of you seeking the Daichi, you'll need to complete the little puzzle-dungeon known as the Archon's Knot. It's a pretty simple dungeon, but I'd figure I'd put this in here as a useful refernce, and due to the fact that most other guides don't really delve into this, despite the obvious importance of it. Minor spoilers will follow. So, obviously to enter Archon's Knot you need to enter the level of Brightwood Tower that has the Cullis Gate on it that Garth made. Look to the left and jump down, you'll enter the Knot. From here, swim straight in front of you to the tunnel and walk until you reach the first chamber. Turn left, shoot the switch, and the door opens. Go to the next tunnel and upstairs, where you'll find the first of a series of spike traps. Shoot the switch once, and you'll see a bunch of candles on the opposing wall, which actually outline the path you must take to get safely to the other side. Melee the switch and the door will open. Upstairs again, ignore the caged switch and the expression statue for now and continue forward. You'll reach a room with another spike trap- just step on the switch for now, then return to the statue and cage. Use "Bloodlust Roar" on the statue, whereupon it will release the switch and you can go back up to the second spiketrap. Follow the pattern that the switch makes every time you hit it, as it shows the correct method of getting through the spikes. Repeat until you're at the other side. Follow the path, exit the Archon's Knot, open the chest to the right. There's also a really easy-to-spot gargoyle on the little tower ruins below you. Also, apparently if you do the Archon's Knot before entering Bloodstone for the first time, there's evidently no weapon and just a statue (presumably of Zuna Daichi). So don't waste your time before then. []==========================================================================[] [] F.
