Avalis Dungeon 2 v 1.0 4-30-2017 author: Dimetric Houston e-mail: dhousto7@gmail.com CONTENTS: Introduction Updates Story Controls Walkthrough Tips, Tricks and Secrets Credits ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INTRODUCTION: Hello all. This FAQ covers the game Avalis Dungeon 2 for the XBOX 360. It is a role-playing game. It is the second in the series of Avalis Dungeon games for the XBOX 360. The Avalis Dungeon games are a series of Role-Playing games designed by the Indie group Team Shuriken. The games are simple maze-type games where the player pushes a button to make choices to travel to different rooms and complete actions. The Avalis Dungeon games are: Avalis Dungeon Avalis Dungeon 2 Avalis Dungeon 3 This FAQ only covers Avalis Dungeon 2. The newest version of this FAQ can be found at the following sites: GameFAQs (www.gamefaqs.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATES: v 1.0 4-30-17 -Preliminary edition. v 0.2 4-30-47 -updated Story section -updated Controls section -updated Walkthough section ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ STORY (quote verbatim from game) Erik Description: One year after the defeat of the mad elf inthe 1st chapter of Avalis Dungeon, another demon lord emerges from theshadows and launches anattack on the Moonstone Village. Erik, a young farmer, is the last survivor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTROLS Control in the Avalis Dungeon games is extremely simple. You will only use the controller face buttons: X,Y,A,B. No other buttons are used during actual game play. The game presents all button choices with nice, big colored circles that match the color and letter on the controller. When it comes to attacks, the button functions are linked to the attacks listed below: X-Dagger Y-Wand B-Punch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WALKTHROUGH This walkthrough is designed to help you through the complex maze of Avalis Dungeon 2. The Avalis Games are extremely simple once you know which path to choose. Before that knowledge comes to fruition however, one must endure many hours of making wrong choices, apparently going in circles and meeting Game Over screens (unless you have some touch of Divine Favor that grants you always-make-the-right-choice-the-first-time talent---something we common folk call "luck"). This walkthrough will alleviate those frustrating moments. Abbreviations used: ------------------ Path Room - these are a series of rooms (usually 4) that give only one button choice. The button choices will be shown sequentially, therefore this title of Path Room indicates all the rooms that follow this pattern. Fight Room - you face an opponent in this room and must choose the correct button to defeat them. The buttons are shown on the lower right of the screen and are linked to a certain attack type. Pressing the correct button defeats the opponent. Pressing the incorrect button gets you defeated and a Game Over. Don't rush. You have all the time in the world to make a choice. Obstacle Room - you face a room with an obstacle and must choose the correct action to overcome it. The action choices available will have a controller button shown next to it. Choosing the correct action gets you past the obstacle. Choosing the incorrect actions gets you a Game Over. Action Room - in this room you have a button choice that causes an action to occur. The resulting action can open a new path, or cause an effect somewhere later in the dungeon. Actions examples are throwing a switch, using a bomb, using an item, etc. Room 1 ============== Path Room | | | Y-Y | ============== Room 2 ============== Path Room | | Correct Choice: either | X B | See 3-1 if choosing X ============== See 4-1 if choosing Y Room 3-1 Room 4-1 ============== Path Room ======== Path Room | Y | | Y | | | | | ============== ======== Room 3-2 Room 4-2 ============== Correct Choice: X ======= Fight Room (Fairy) | Y | (acquire Wand) | FIGHT | Correct Choice: X | X | | | ============== ======= Room 3-3 Room 4-3 ============== Fight Room (Halle Ermione) ======== Path Room | FIGHT | Correct Choice: B | Y | | | | | ============== ======== Go To Room 5 Go To Room 3-2 Room 5 ============== Action Room (rescue) | X | Correct Choice: X | Y | ============== Room 6 ============== Path Room | | | Y | ============== Room 7 ============== Fight Room (Orb) | FIGHT | Correct Choice: any | | A gives dialog with no battle ============== Room 8 ============== Path Room | | | Y | ============== Room 9 ============== Path Room | | Correct choice: B | X B | X also leads to Room 10 but is not good because it ============== leads to the X choice in that room Room 10 ============== Path Room | | Correct choice: B | X B | X is death ============== Room 11 ============== Scene Room | SCENE | (gain cocoon) | | ============== Room 12 ============== Path Room | | | Y | ============== Room 13 ============== Fight Room (Swamp Ghost) | FIGHT | Correct Choice: Y | | ============== Room 14 ============== Scene Room (cocoon) | SCENE | Correct Choice: B | | ============== Room 15 ============== Path Room | | (checkpoint) | Y | ============== Room 16 ============== Path Room | | Correct choice: X | X B | B leads to dialog ============== Room 17 ============== Path Room | | | Y-B-Y | ============== Room 18 ============= | Y | Correct Choice: either | B | See 19-1 if choosing Y ============= See 20-1 if choosing B Room 19-1 Room 20-1 ============== Path Room ======== Path Room | Y | | Y | | | | | ============== ======== Room 19-2 Room 20-2 ============== Fight Room (Bats) ======== Fight Room | FIGHT | Correct Choice: Y | FIGHT | (Demon Lord Knight-blue) | | | | Correct Choice: B ============== ======== Go To Room 21 Go To Room 19-2 Room 21 ============== Path Room | | | Y-Y-Y | ============== Room 22 ============== Action Room (swinging axes) | | Correct Choice: B | X Y B | ============== Room 23 ============== Path Room | | | Y | ============== Room 24 ============= | Y | Correct Choice: either (Y is shorter path) | X | See 25-1 if choosing X ============= See 26-1 if choosing Y Room 25-1 Room 26-1 ============== Path Room ======== Path Room | Y | | Y | | | | | ============== ======== Go To Room 27 Room 25-2 ============== Path Room | | Correct choice: X | X B | B leads to dialog ============== (see Tips, Tricks, and Secrets section about this room) Room 27 ============== Fight Room (Demon Lord Valkyrie) | FIGHT | Correct Choice: X | | ============== Room 28 ============= | B | Correct Choice: either (X is shorter path) | X | See 29-1 if choosing X ============= See 30-1 if choosing Y Room 29-1 Room 30-1 ======== Fight Room (Demon Lord Knight) ======== Obstacle Room (spikes) | FIGHT | (green) | X | Correct Choice: X then Y | | Correct Choice: B | Y | ======== ======== Go To Room 29-1 Room 31 ============== Path Room | | | X | ============== Room 32 ============== Scene Room | SCENE | Correct Choice: X each time | | Weapon upgrade ============== (see Tips, Tricks, Secret section for more on this room) Room 33 ============== Path Room | | | X | ============== Room 34 ============== Fight Room (Ghoul) | FIGHT | Correct Choice: X | | ============== Room 35 ======== Obstacle Room (electric door) | | Correct Choice: Y | X Y B | ========= Room 36 ============== Path Room | | | Y-Y | ============== Room 37 ============== Fight Room (FINAL BOSS: Demonia) | FINAL | Correct Choice: X then Y then B | FIGHT | ============== You win!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TIPS, TRICKS, AND SECRETS As in Avalis Dungeon 1, rescuing prisoners only nets you dialog. No other benefits are acquired from rescuing a prisoner (other than getting to look at hot anime women if that is your thing), so it is really up to you if you want to rescue them or not. There are no penalties for not rescuing them. Checkpoints are where you can continue if you die. Simply choose Continue at the title screen and you will begin the game at the checkpoint instead of at the beginning. Room 25-2 choice B leads to dialog, and a spoiler character for the sequel, Avalis Dungeon 3. This is the only way to see this character. If you choose Y in Room 24, you will miss this character. Room 32 is critical to winning the game. I always choose the X answers, as you need the weapon upgrade the character provides in order to defeat the final boss. I have not experimented with the other choices here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CREDITS God--for the strength, life, and intellect to do this FAQ I hope you have enjoyed this FAQ.
