Closting Statements I.-----------------------------------Introduction----------------------------- Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do is one of XBOX 360's first games for Kinnect. It is marked as a good family game intending to keep your family occuppied trying to compete with each other's scores. However, for an individual that is playing by themselves, I would not reccomend this game. It does not have the same effect trying to beat your own score over and over again. My guide should roughly getone through all the games with the techniques that I used to win. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ II.----------------------------------Alley Ways------------------------------- A. Coaster Corner- This one is located on the top left of the first page of games. i. Gold Rush Mountain Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Hold both arms out beside your body and move th and down to collect gold coins. All gold coins are worth one point. All red stars are worth -5 points. Tips: Make sure to pull your arms as far in as you can to avoid accidently getting red stars Goals: 5 Tickets: 399 points and under 10 Tickets: 400-474 points Prize/25 Tickets: 475+ points Achievements: True Star- 25G - Collect at least 100 Red Stars from Gold Rush Mountain ii. Hot Air Balloon Race Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Hold both arms out in front of you to grab the bar that pushes hot air into your balloon. Tips: Take big, slow strokes. Faster strokes only end up with less movement and more work. Goals: 5 Tickets: 3rd or 4th Place 10 Tickets: 2nd Place Prize/25 Tickets: 1st Place Achievements: N/A iii. Wheel of Chance Difficulty: Easy to Very Hard How to Play: Hold arms out and up to grab the wheel and move them down to spin the wheel. The goal is to clear the wheel and get 197 tickets. Note that the 100 slot is a 100 one revolution of the wheel then an skull the next time. So this means even on the first spin you can lose and that the 100 slot is a 1/34 chance of landing on it on any spin. Tips: Make sure your hands are viewed by the Kinnect when they are up. If they aren't, then your spin will be very slow and useless. My stratagy is to spin until I hit the ones. once I hit the ones, I back out immendiately unless I land on it the first spin, then I spin one more time and then back out. I do this because landing on a one is a 14/34 chance which sends your chances very low of not landing on a skull. Goals: 5 Tickets: N/A 10 Tickets: N/A Prize/25 Tickets: N/A Achievements: Risk Taker- 200G - Clear out the Wheel of Chance iv. Funnel Cake Falls Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Hold both arms out (waist high) like you are holding a tray. Lean or step side to side to catch as many funnel cakes as possible. Tips: Note that stacking more funnel cakes equals more points. My stratagy is to get a funnel cake on each edge of the tray for balance. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-179 points 10 Tickets: 180-274 points Prize/25 Tickets: 275+ points Achievements: Stack a Lack'n- 25G - Stack 20 funnel cakes (at one time) B. LaunchPad Lane- This one is located on the top right of the first page of games. i. Rocket to Mars Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Jump to take off and tilt left to right to steer the rocket. Three tries. Tips: Where the satillite is when you see it is where you should go. Goals: 5 Tickets: Not pass the moon 10 Tickets:Pass the moon but not get to Mars Prize/25 Tickets: Get to Mars Achievements: Astronaut- 10G - Fly to Mars on launch 1 ii. Crash-Test Dummy Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Configure your body to the shape the yellow squares that pop up on the board. Avoid the black squares. Tips: To get top points, I used two pillows (one in each hand) to expand my range of body. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-449 points 10 Tickets: 450-549 points Prize/25 Tickets: 550+ points Achievements: Crash Dummy- 25G - Knock out at least 600 gold bricks in Crash-Test Dummy iii. Alley Ball Difficulty: Very Hard How to Play: Reach out and grab the ball, then pull your arm up and roll your arm up underhanded. Tips: Personally, I have still not got the prize for this game. To get it, it takes 4-100s in a round or 4-50s with 5-40s in a round. Both very difficult, do whichever works best for you. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-249 points 10 Tickets: 250-399 points Prize/25 Tickets: 400+ points Achievements: N/A iv. Pop Darts Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Reach out and grab the dart then aim at the targets and throw. Tips: Hold you position steady and wait for the moving targets to come back to your aiming point. After 4 throws, a large ballon will pop up randomly on the screen. Try to hit this balloon as soon as possibly to get the max points. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-31 points 10 Tickets: 32-39 points Prize/25 Tickets: 40+ points Achievements: N/A C. Carousel Junction- This one is located on the bottom left of the first page of games. i. Ring Fling Difficulty: Hard How to Play: Reach out and grab the ring then bring your hand to your waist and toss it like a frisbee. Land the rings on the pegs to score points. Tips: Landing rings on the same peg is worth extra points. My advice get good at tossing on the same peg and go for that multipier. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-2 points 10 Tickets: 3-4 points Prize/25 Tickets: 5+ points Achievements: The Ringer- 25G - Get two rings on the same peg in Ring Fling ii. Amazing Wodin Difficulty: N/A How to Play: Cost 10 tickets to play. Pick a category and go. Tips: Don't play this. It is the most pointless thing I have ever seen. Goals: 5 Tickets: N/A 10 Tickets: N/A Prize/25 Tickets: N/A Achievements: N/A iii. Shark Tank Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Reach out and grab the ball then bring your arm back and throw. Tips: Timing is everything. After a few times through, you should get the timing down for all three rounds then do it. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-1 Hits 10 Tickets: 2 Hits Prize/25 Tickets: All 3 hits Achievements: N/A iv. Pig Race Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Slap your imaginary pig your sitting on to go faster then tilt left to right to steer your pig. Three laps. Tips: Avoid the obsticles. Don't give up no matter how far you are behind. Slap your pig a few times and you will hit max speed then worry more about steering then going faster. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-1499 points 10 Tickets: 1500-1649 points Prize/25 Tickets: 1650+ points Achievements: Funky Monkey- 10G - Finsh Monkey See, Monkey Do with no bad poses ii. Down the Stretch Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Roll your arms from the waist like in alley ball to get the balls in the holes near your target to make your horse go faster. Up to 6 balls in play at one time. Tips: Use both arms. This stratagy maximizes the amount of balls allowed in play. Goals: 5 Tickets: 3rd or 4th place 10 Tickets: 2nd place Prize/25 Tickets: 1st place Achievements: N/A iii. Strength Test Difficulty: Easy How to Play: Position your hands above your head and swing down to land the bar power bar in the green section. Tips: Like in Shark Tank, timing is everything. After a few plays, you should have the timing down and then go for it. Goals: 5 Tickets: Participate 10 Tickets: Hit 2 bells Prize/25 Tickets: Hit all 3 bells Achievements: Total Domination- 15G - Get the rank of Dominator in Strength Test iv. Knockout Punch Difficulty: Medium How to Play: It's explained in the first 2 rounds, but 1 is left punch, 2 is right punch, and the down arrow is duck. Tips: See the series and do them fast in order. Slowing down to make sure that you have done it right wastes time. Also, try punch from abdomen and make them hooks instead of straight punches. Granny Shot Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Reach out like in Court King and grab the ball, but this time, bring your hands bellow your waist and toss them up. Tips: Note how the different balls have different weights. This doesn't mean that you have to throw higher like hands go higher. It is all about the speed of your hands. Faster the hands, further the ball goes. Goals: 5 Tickets: 0-2 points 10 Tickets: 3 points Prize/25 Tickets: 4+ points Achievements: Granny Skills- 75G - Make a basket with each object given in Granny Shot iii. Golden Arm Difficulty: Medium How to Play: Just like in Shark Tank Tips: Find the best attack points when you play the different levels the first time. Don't just think that the last attack point is best or the one in the middle or the one at the bottom. Especially the tall ones, they like to tumble easily and knock down more than you would expect. There are 9 other achievements totally 225 points. 13 for 620 + 8 for 155 + 9 for 225 = 30 for 1000. *Note these are only for the original game which means this does not include the DLC. A. Mini-Game- In order of games i. True Star Points: 25G Difficulty: Easy Tips: Don't go for the gold stars at all. Each red is worth -5 points. For achievement help, go to the cheats section on this game on gamefaqs.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VI.-------------------------------Closing Statements-------------------------- This was my first guide so I hope it helped all the read it or part of it. Note that the strategies I used may not be the best way, but they are the way I completed the game. Finishing this was a little annoying, espically buying all the prizes. However, overall, I don't view this game as bad as some other critics viewed it. Some say that winning the mini-games are pure luck over skill, but at a real carnival, most of the games usually need luck to win anyways. Good for families. Decent for individuals and achievement hunters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
