If you want just a basic checklist to help you get through the game as easily as possible, I can give you that. And if you want a walkthrough that provides you with some hints before giving you the outright answer, I can provide that as well. Seriously if you haven't seen this Youtuber's HD Walkthroughs, they are really good!) ==Hints Walkthrough== /Anne Soderlund's Apartment (formerly upside-down apt)/ What can I do with the shard in the bathtub? 1. Where did that blood come from? 2. Careful that looks sharp. 3. Something needs to be cut nearby. 4. You know it's game 3. Time to start tying up loose ends. 5. This puzzle-solving can be a pain in the neck. Can I do anything for the shadow in the tub? 1. Try talking to her. 2. Uh, that didn't work. Maybe listen to her? 3. Maybe you're not a comforting presence. 4. Since when do you care about ghosts? 5. This is a waste of time, right? What am I supposed to do my second time here? 1. That kind of depends on when your second time is. 2. You've been to the lower floors I trust? 3. Did you see the creepy cutscene? 4. Great, now check out that bathtub again. 5. What's different about this room? Look lower. /Martin Wallace's Apartment/ How do I get the Noose? 1. You must be a very good knot tier. 2. Snug as anything, it won't be coming down. 3. At least not in its entirety. 4. Do we have anything to get it down with? 5. Maybe you're not cut out for adventure games. Is there something on the bookshelf? 1. Wasn't there a picture there before? 2. It seems like a good place for a picture. 3. But seriously, did you obtain the photo? 4. You might look at the photo here. 5. Seriously, art imitates life. Okay, I'm back now. How do I repair the doll? 1. It's limbs are missing. 2. Doesn't the answer seem kind of obvious? 3. Well you can rule out the lower floors. 4. Think globally, act locally. 5. You have to backtrack a lot in this game, I know. /Lower Floor Apartment/ What can I do with the firepit? 1. It's great for starting a fire. 2. If only you had something to light it with. 3. Maybe there's something nearby? 4. You'll need a working light source. 5. Hey, you shouldn't be burning random quest items! How do I beat the labyrinth box? 1. Well David Bowie won't help you (seriously, there's what looks like a labyrinth poster in this apartment). 2. Pro Tip: The holes are bad. Except the last one. 3. Haven't you ever seen one of these before? 4. No, it's not optional. 5. Just use your instinct. What is the code on the piece of paper? 1. Can't make it out? 2. You ever play LA Noire? 3. Remember "Pencil Magic" 4. Oops, no pencil in this game, that was game 2. 5. Well there's gotta be something nearby that can mark up your paper. /Maintenance Area/ The lighter won't work? What gives? 1. Have you tried really hard? 2. You know how to combine things right? 3. Examine, examine, examine. 4. Seriously, this one is obvious. What you need is revealed right next to where you find the lighter. 5. Time to backtrack. How do I unlock the fuse box? 1. Remeber that piece of paper. 2. Have you filled it out yet? 3. It'll be hard to think of 5 hints for this one. 4. How are you? Hope you're doing well. 5. May as well just jump to SOLUTIONS if you don't already know. Okay, now how do I unlock the thing in the fuse box? 1. This is... basically 50% of the game. 2. There are two notes, coal, and some know-how that are required. 3. Read every note, take them in, and focus. 4. It's really not as complicated as it might seem. 5. Seriously the notes tell you everything you need to know. /Mr. O. White's Apartment/ How do I solve the maze? 1. It's a maze. 2. Arrow placements? Just look ahead real quick and figure out where it should go. 3. This can be tricky, just remember it will ALWAYS give you an arrow choice at a crossroads, even one you've already crossed. 4. Trial and error is good, m'kay? 5. Yeah, no shame in going to Solutions on this one. ==SOLUTIONS== /Anne Soderlund's Apartment (formerly upside-down apt)/ What can I do with the shard in the bathtub? The shard is used to cut the noose, so you can take it. Can I do anything for the shadow in the tub? No. She cannot be helped... in this game. What am I supposed to do my second time here? When you come back after visiting the lower floor, grab the note underneath the bathtub. /Martin Wallace's Apartment/ How do I get the Noose? You will need the shard from Anne Soderlund's Apartment. Is there something on the bookshelf? Use the photo while examing the bookshelf then take the lighterfluid from the photo to make it appear on the bookshelf. Then take it. Okay, I'm back now. How do I repair the doll? You'll need the four limbs which are located in: 1. A Box in the closet. 2. Next to the barricaded door under the green light. 3. On the previously unviewable bed in Anne-Soderlunds Apartment, left side of the screen. 4. Hanging in Anne Soderlund's bathroom. /Lower Floor Apartment/ What can I do with the firepit? Light it with the lighter when you have it filled up and then take the handle and the coal. How do I beat the labyrinth box? It's based on an old wooden toy. Tilt the ball so that you avoid every hole but the finish line hole to win. What is the code on the piece of paper? Use the coal on the piece of paper to discover the code; 147. /Maintenance Area/ The lighter won't work? What gives? The lighter needs the fluid. The photo reveals the location of the lighter fluid, in Martin Wallace's Apartment. How do I unlock the fuse box? You will need the code on the piece of paper, 147. Okay, now how do I unlock the thing in the fuse box? You must solve the elaborate puzzle using the notes and the cryptogram. Use the note with the translations to make it appear and then write with the coal. Step 1: Enter the symbols left to right, then top to bottom in order. 12345678 becomes 1234 5678 etc. Step 2: Translate each symbol by choosing the appropriate translation (yes you have to do this manually for each symbol). Step 3: Read the translation from top to bottom, then left to right. 15 26 37 48 becomes 12345678 etc. /Mr. O. White's Apartment/ How do I solve the maze? Here is the arrow order: Maze Arrow Solution: right, right, down, right, down, left, right, right, down, up, left, down, down, down. ==Checklist Walkthrough== /Opening Sequence/ 1. Push the buttons displayed when displayed during the opening sequence. /Martin Wallace's Apartment (1st Visit)/ 1. Look at the doll on the table again after the cutscene. /Anne Soderlund's Apartment (1st Visit)/ 1. Return to where the upside-down apartment had been in Part 1. 2. The apartment is still right-side up, but now has a door. 3. Enter it. 4. Head to the bathroom (the door in the back of this area) 5. Examine the bathtub. 6. Move Drapes. 7. Drain the tub. 8. Examine tub again. 9. Take the shard. 10. Back out. 11. Ignore it. There's nothing you can do for it. /Martin Wallace's Apartment (2nd Visit)/ 1. Return to Martin Wallace's Apartment. 2. Head to the bathroom. 3. Examine the noose. 4. Use the Shard on the noose to get Rope. 5. Leave. /The Utility Closet (1st Visit)/ 1. Head to the closet. 2. Examine the light coming from beneath the boxes. 3. Move boxes. 4. Use the rope. 5. Climb down. /The Lower Floor Apartment (1st Visit)/ 1. Head to the door right in front of you. 2. Turn right and take the note on the bed. 3. Examine the box on the desk. 4. Tilt the box to move the ball past the obstacles to the "finish" area. 5. When you succeed, take the key. 6. Leave this apartment. /The Maintenance Area (1st Visit)/ 1. Head back to the area with both doors but select the door on the left. 2. Use the Key on the door. 3. Enter. 4. Examine the Shelf near the hanging body. 5. Take the photo and the lighter. /Martin Wallace's Apartment (3rd Visit)/ 1. Return to Martin Wallace's Apartment 2. Examine the bookshelf. 3. Use the Photo. 4. Pick up the lighter fluid in the photo. 5. Take the Lighter Fluid. 6. Go into your inventory and combine Lighter Fluid and Lighter. 7. Look at the doll box. /Anne Soderlund's Apartment (2nd Visit)/ 1. Return to Anne Soderlund's Apartment 2. Return to the bathroom. 3. Look underneath the tub. 4. Take the note. 5. Make your way out. 6. Change pants. /The Lower Floor Apartment (2nd Visit)/ 1. Return to the Lower Floor Apartment 2. Examine the firepit. 3. Use lighter on the firepit. 4. Take handle. 5. Take a lump of coal. 6. Combine the paper you got from here earlier with the lump of coal. 7. Examine the paper. /The Maintenance Area (2nd Visit)/ 1. Examine the box to your right. 2. Enter the code (147) 3. Take the piece of paper on the left side of the open box. 4. Examine the black hand print on the wall. 5. Use the piece of paper you just picked up. 6. Examine the note you got from Anne Soderlund's Bathroom. 7. This will give you all the info you need to solve this puzzle. 8. Use the coal to begin decrypting the message. 9. Enter the symbols in order on the graph left to right, top to bottom. 10. Then translate the symbols. 11. Finally place them in order per the instructions on Anne Soderlund's note. That is to say, first top to bottom THEN left to right. 12. When you've figured out what the message is, return to the box. 13. Enter the password: NOWYOUAREMYSLAVE. 14. Take the Blade. 15. Back out. 16. On your way out, a cutscene will occur. /Repairing The Doll/ 1. Return to the closet and pull the hook. 2. Climb out. 3. Leave the closet. 4. Return to Martin Wallace's Apartment and Look at the doll box. 5. The first limb is beside the green flickering light and barricaded door. 6. The second limb is on the bed in Anne Soderlund's Apartment (far left). Move the sheet to find it. 7. The third limb is handing in the shower of Anne Soderlund's Bathroom. 8. The fourth limb is back in the closet (open the upper left box). 9. Return to Martin Wallace's Apartment. 10. Examine the box. 11. Use each limb to repair the doll piece by piece. Please note the below are only the solutions that I found, though I never fully understood the repairing mechanic, so your results may vary. When in doubt, do it one stick at a time until you're as close as possible and then tweak it a bit. 12. Right Leg= Left Stick to Upper right and Right Stick to Lower Right. 13. Left Leg= Both Sticks Straight Down 14. Left Arm = Left stick to Lower Left and Right Stick To Left. 15. Right Arm = Both Sticks Straight Up. /The Finale, Mr. O. White's Apartment/ 1. Leave the apartment. 2. Examine the doll. 3. Take the Hacksaw frame. 4. In inventory combine the hacksaw to the blade and then to the handle. 5. Head to the bars near Mr. O. White's Apartment. 6. Use the Hacksaw. 7. Enter Mr. O. White's Apartment. 8. Examine the board on the right. 9. Maze Arrow Solution: right, right, down, right, down, left, right, right, down, up, left, down, down, down.
