This FAQ covers the game Ghouls n Gals for the XBOX 360. It is a role-playing game for the XBOX 360. All to pay the bills! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTROLS Control in Ghouls n Gals is extremely simple. You will only use the controller face buttons: X,Y,A,B. No other buttons are used during actual game play. The game presents all button choices with nice, big colored circles that match the color and letter on the controller. This game gives you basically two "lives", in the form of the two characters. If you make a wrong choice, you lose one "life"/character" (rather gruesomely too). A second wrong choice gives you a GAME OVER. Aside: You always lose Jenny first when you lose a life ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ACTION SEQUENCES These are special screens where you have to press the face buttons in the correct sequence. These are timed; you have the press the buttons quickly or else you lose a life. You also lose a life if you press the wrong button. The sequences appear randomly when you go from room to room, or sometimes when you make a choice within a room. The sequence of buttons is random as well. You may notice that buttons are in the same position as they appear on the XBOX controller, but the buttons "stream" in as you press them (you will understand this once you see it). This adds to some confusion, as the different streaming directions are meant to disorient you. In theme with the game, the sequences are meant to be frightening and alarming, as their appearance is highlighted with scary music, an equally scary background (or a crazy background depending on your point of view), and the added tension of knowing if you mess up, you lose a life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WALKTHROUGH This walkthrough is designed to help you through the complex maze of Ghouls n Gals. The game is extremely simple once you know which path to choose. Before that knowledge comes to fruition however, one must endure many hours of making wrong choices, apparently going in circles and meeting Game Over screens (unless you have some touch of Divine Favor that grants you always-make-the-right-choice-the-first-time talent---something we common folk call "luck"). This walkthrough will alleviate those frustrating moments. Actions sequences are not mentioned, as their appearance is totally random. Abbreviations used: ------------------ Path Room - these are a series of rooms that give only one button choice. The button choices will be shown sequentially, therefore this title of Path Room indicates all the rooms that follow this pattern. Scene Room - in this room you converse with a character. Just follow the button prompts when you see them. INTRO: ------ Press Y to get started. You meet a protagonist(?) of the game, who starts you on your quest. Press Y to enter the building. Wait, there was music? Ok, the eerie sound that reverberates throughout the game changes to a somber musical tone. The rooms listed in the Walkthrough lead you to the end. There are several paths that can be taken to reach these same rooms. If you follow the list shown, you will reach the end of the game. If you choose a different path, you can still find your way to these rooms and get back on track.
