Game Opening Story ******************************************************************************* Of the gods and demigods created from the Void Tetsu, heir to the realm of Omnium, received a gift with which he toyed Sudeki and all its subjects would worship him alone Yet still he long for another god to share his celestial home So drawn from him, his crystal skin, another child was born Yet slicing one no good and true, the light from dark was torn At first the brothers celebrated, and shared their world in faith But then the dark grew powerful, and love was made to waste The dark gave swing to the selfish twin, and he banished out his brother Now weakening, the good twin fled in search of help from others Of animal men, one wise and fair, his tribe they turned to flee Why human beings hid their feelings, save the heroic three Towards separation brought us here, how selfish was my wish So unity will be our new goal, we fight, the angel hissed They fought the beast so powerful, and forced him to give in Then as battle silenced, a rage came over the twin The world was torn asunder, the subject split in two Unable to reach the after life, death drifted in the gloom And then the magic ceased, silence took control An age 1000 years would pass before this kin would toil And of the four who bravely fought, their faith was not to end For time would tell, to save from hell, we would need these friends again Now is the hour that my brother awaits IV.Story ******************************************************************************* ****************** *Light and Shadow* ****************** Queen Lusica of Haskilia was born into Illumina’s royal family in much happier times. But with no father and a mother too ill to care for her, she suffered in her personal life. And now, she finds her reign troubled by the war that ravages this once peaceful land. Understandably embittered, Lusica has turned her anger toward the invading Aklorians and thrown her considerable powers into defending her kingdom. Four friends have joined together to aid their queen. Though destined to encounter ancient gods, primordial wonders, and marvelous inventions, foes and betrayal haunt their every step. A keen eye could prove vital, exposing essential clues. And as the companions make their way through darkness and light, they’ll discover that those two extremes have more in common than they once imagined... V.Characters ******************************************************************************* These 4 player characters (PCs) hold the future of their world in their hands-- even if they don’t realize it. ********** *V.1. Tal* ********** While his father abandoned the family in favor of army life, the ongoing war claimed the lives of Tal’s mother and younger brother. A war-torn youth scarred by his father’s betrayal and the passing of those most dear to him left Tal with a burning desire to prove his mettle as a soldier and to earn the respect of his father. So upon graduating from military college, joined the Elite Illumina Guard, under the command of non other than his estranged father, General Arlo. SPECIAL ABILITY Tal’s special ability is strength. He’s a tough customer who puts his muscles to good use moving obstacles that block his path. ************* *V.2. Ailish* ************* Though magic is common in Haskilia, few wield it with such skill as Princess Ailish. The powers that manifested in her when she was very young have grown ever stronger during her 19 years. And while she’s been happy enough at Illumina Castle with her mother, Queen Lusic-not mention having handsome Tal training in the courtyard-the spread war soon will test both h er magical abilities and her dedication to her homeland. SPECIAL ABILITY Ailish’s special ability is magical sight. She can see things on the is handy when things are looking dark. She can also make object appear and disappear while in First-Person view. *********** *V.3. Buki* *********** An exotic mix of human and animal, Buki’s senses and instincts are far sharper than any human’s. but because of those ver differences, she, like most of her race, is somewhat mistrustful of humans. Nevertheless, her position as an ambassador has brought her to Illumina Castle, where her shrew and clever nature serves her well. SPECIAL ABILITY Buki’s special ability is her climbing claws. She can scale walls and clamber sideways with ease to get to places others can’t even dream of reaching. *********** *V.4. Elco* *********** Everyone agrees that Elco displays wisdom beyond his 24 years, and unfortunate accident left him with only one arm but created in him a formidable will. While still young, he discovered that certain large crystals possessed great magical power, and with the determination and precision of a born scientist, Elco began working to harness that power. Currently he is creating a “peace shield” to protect Illumina from invasion. SPECIAL ABILITY Elco’s special ability is his rocket pack, He can fly over crevasses with ease, jetting to places no one else can. Just be sure he’s got enough rocket fuel. Whenever you feel like you are ready to proceed, simply press BACK button. Quest 1: Muster at the gates* ************************************* ********************************************* *VII.2.a. Objective 1: Collect map from Kamo* ********************************************* Levels: Tal-lvl 1 Now you will be inside of the Illumina castle. Walk forward and Wesley Dow will encounter you. He will tell you that you will need a map of the outside world. You will be able to get one for free at Kamo’s shop. Wesley Dow will ask you if you either want to follow him to the shop, or if you just want to find your way there. If you choose to find your way, then just run along the left wall, toward the set of stairs you see, past through them, and to the far left corner, you will see a door with antelopes above it. You can get 100 by opening the treasure chest the left of the door. Then go in. Now you are inside of Kamo’s emporium. Talk to the person who is dressed in purple. That is Kamo. He is a human like duck with an attitude. Luckily you will get a map for free off of him. Once you have the map, you can either go back to the courtyard, or stick around and shop. He has other helpful items that will help you out in your quest. If you choose to save, go back to the area where you started from (part where you met Wesley Dow) Look toward the southern wall for the inn with a book floating in front if it. Here is where you can save. We will call these “save points”. ************************************************************* *VII.2.b. Objective 2: Meet General Arlo at the castle gates* ************************************************************* Levels: Tal-lvl 1 From this point, run along the right wall looking for a giant castle door to your right. You will see one with a lock, go past it, onto the second one, and through it. From Kamo’s emporium, run along the left wall, until you reach the giant castle door. If you are interested in a wolf totem, head up the stairs you see the left, and press the green flashing button you see at the top. Once you do, will have 10 seconds to get back to the 1st floor, and into the room that opens up. Once you get in, you will earn 10 exp points. Open the chest, and get the wolf totem. Go step in through the giant door with the black lock on it, and onto the next area. Now continue toward the castle’s drawing bridge. Once you have passed the draw bridge, look to the left for a save spot. If you are interested in some goodies, continue through the harbor until you see a barrel to the left. Break it and you will get the Gnat Stinger. Then, head southeast, before you get the stairs, break a box and get the Reptufallo Hide. To the right will be another Box with another Reptufallo Hide. Now head down the stairs. Once you get off the stairs, turn left, break the box, and get another Reptufallo Hide. Go back up the stairs and on through the castle doors to your left. Go down the hall. If you are interested in 10 florins, go in the left entrance and break the barrel. Continue down the hall way, to the large room at the end. Break the box on the right side of the entrance to get the Dilodactyl Hide. Continuing further east, under a torch, will be a barrel with 10 florins. Now head down the southern hallway, and into the door. ******************************************** *VII.3. Quest 2: Clear Illumina countryside* ******************************************** ************************************************************************** *VII.3.a. Objective 1: Clear enemies between Illumina and New Brightwater* ************************************************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 1 After the cut scene, you will have 2 companions with you. Run along through King’s Road. Soon enough, there will be another cut scene where the sky darkens. After it, you will enter a battle. First there will be 2 enemies. Shortly after that, 3 more will appear. Now you deal with 5. Kill these 5, and another 3 will appear further up the path. Kill them, and proceed forward to another wave of 3. Kill them, and the battle ends. Now go into the door with the red arrow pointing at it. Head down the stairs, and you will encounter another wave of 8. Only this time, your friends aren’t there to help, so you’re on your own now, buddy. Be careful of the one’s shooting at you with their magic. After killing them, you can go to the right side of the house to get 100 florins in a barrel. Then continue down the brown path heading south. Look for a save point to your right. Further up the path, you will reach a fork. Take the left. The right just leads you to a dead end. When you reach the giant block that stands in your way, grab it with A, and pull it back 2 spaces. Then push the one in front 1 space, and continue. You will reach a gate. Open it and continue. You will encounter a wave of 7. Once you kill them, continue on the path, pass the bridge, make a left, and save. Get the open area and you will encounter the Aklorian Grotesque. He is extremely strong. He can kill you with an easy 2 hits. He will also summon about 5 of his little minions, which they can become awfully pesky. Its is best to kill them first. During this battle, never stand in one place!!! Once it is just you and the Aklorian Grotesque, run toward him, and then away. He will attempt to strike you, but his reflexes are slow. So most likely he will miss. Now he is vulnerable. Come from behind and attack him. Repeat this process until he if finished. Continue up the path to the south. Pass a bridge, around the stack of coffins, then past 2 soldiers. When you crosse the gate, a wave of 9 enemies await you. Then, go on through another gate and continue. When you reach Brightwater beach, If you talk to Birdo Walters, he will tell you that there is a secret in the shack. But this must be done with Ailish. So ignore this for right now. Head south to the beach, and you will encounter 8 enemies. Kill about 5, and 3 more will appear along an Aklorian Grotesque. Once you have defeated everybody, a green chest appears that contains a Mojo. It is best to equip it at once. Now go around and collect every item possible in that area before moving on. Then head up the stairs to the west, follow the path to the left, and to your will be a save point. It is important that you save right now because you will encounter your first boss fight. As you continue south, passed the gate, the Aklorian Seige Ogre appears. And he does not look friendly ****************************************** *VII.3.b. Boss fight: Aklorian Seige Ogre* ****************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 3 Running around him won’t do much, because he will continue to follow you, and you will get nowhere. I found that the 1st round is somewhat easy. Similar with you did for the first fight with the Aklorian Grotesque, just run into him, and quickly run back, heading toward behind him. Once he swings his club, strike with a combo. Simply to this twice with the correct combo, and he should be finished by the 2nd process. Word of advice, try not to linger too much when attacking with a combo. The ogre can easily turn around after his attack, and strike again. After the cut scene where he breaks his shield, round 2 starts. This time, the technique used to fight him is pretty much the same . You may want to watch out for his farting attack. It will poison you, taking away 25 hp for very 2-3 seconds that passes. ************************************************* *VII.4. Quest 3: Find and escort Princess Ailish* ************************************************* *********************************************** *VII.4.a. Objective 1: Head to New Brightwater* *********************************************** levels: Tal-lvl 4 Now, you have the Shadow armor, which has a second slot for an upgrade, the spirit strike Sword of Ashuran, and the Jagged-Edge Scroll. When you have control of Tal again, you can go and break the barrels to acquire a healing ointment and an emerald panacea. Now head west into the mine. Once you are out of the mine, you can make a left turn after running up the small hill, and a run into Jurgen, who is a merchant. You can trade anything you do not need to him, or you can also buy anything that interests you. Now continue southwest on the path, and follow it as it runs into New Brightwater Village. Once you get there, Kirklin will start talking to you. If you ask him, he tells you that you can find Princess Ailish at Densi’s house. After you run down the hill, there will be a cut scene, that will explain to you some history of New Brightwater Village. After its over, without moving the camera, you will see a fountain to the left, and a big green and orange house on the right. That house is where you have to go. After you have entered it, Yemi, Ailish’s sister, will tell you that Ailish ran off to the light house. After stepping outside the door, head west. There will be a red arrow facing right. That is the way you have to go. Just head up a number of stairs, and you will find Ailish. ******************************************************** *VII.4.b. Objective 2: Escort Ailish to Illumina castle* ******************************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 4, Ailish-lvl 3 Now, you can head into the light house, and collect 150 florins. Before leaving New Brightwater Village, you can save using the save point by the fountain that you saw earlier before. There is also a blacksmith where you can upgrade your weapons and armor. Also, in front of the save point, there is a house with a large brick chimney next to it. That is the inn. So incase if you want to recover your HP and SP, go in, and pay 25 florins. Head back to where you fought the Aklorian Seige Ogre. Here, you can practice combat skills in 1st person view. Pull RIGHT TRIGGER or A to fire with Ailish’s royal staff. Press X to switch weapons. Destroy the pots. Next, active a skill strike by pressing Y and choosing it with A. Now, press LEFT TRIGGER to switch to first person view, and then A to reveal the hidden object. This is called “dispel”. Looky here! It’s an orb of Vigor. Last, dispel the entrance since its blocked. Use the save point to save. You will also notice the eagle head carved in the small altar. This is the altar of Olivitess the Eagle. Here is where you bring the eagle totems after collecting them. At the beach, about 5 Venom Gnats and 6 Aquaticlaws await you. The Gnats are very easy to kill, just one hit. The Aquaticlaws take about a combo. Now head into the shack as Ailish. Look at the most eastern wall to see it sparkle. You must dispel it. Do that, and get an eagle totem. Go back outside and continue west. Before you enter the arena, you will be told that you can change you non-controlled characters’ actions. Press Y, look for A.I. Settings, choose what character’s action you want changed, and choose to make them either attack, defend, or retreat. Now step into the arena. You will face 3 Scarecrows and 6 Venom Gnats. After stepping through the gate, head left into the cemetery. At the end, use Ailish to dispel the statue, which happens to be Ailish’s Grandmother’s tomb. Collect the orb, which increases SP by 20. Get back on the path and continue northwest. Go around the stack of coffins, past the wooden bridge, and into the arena where you fought the Aklorian Grotesque. Here, you will encounter Scarecrows and Venom Gnats. Take the western path, over the bridge, and into the other arena. Since you are playing with Tal, you may want to push the little hut that is northern from the save point. Later on when you play as Buki, you will be able to climb up and collect what is up there. In the next arena, you will encounter again, a group of Venom Gnats and a Scarecrow. When finished, head through the gate to the north. As you run up the path, you will see to your right, a well with sparkles. Now we use Ailish. After dispelling, climb down the ladder to collect an eagle totem and 25 EXP. Climb back up and continue west on the path. After passing the blocks that you moved earlier before, you will see a round-a-bout. To the right is the altar of Kariston the Wolf. You must collect the Wolf Totems and bring them here. Step into the arena where your accomplices were killed. Now you can enter the big house to the far west. Inside, get 150 florins from the chest on the left. Go in through the door. Now you’re in the kitchen. Go left into the living room. Open the chest and get the Huklin’s fate, though I didn’t equip this weapon. But it can poison enemies. Time to go back outside, and into King’s Road, which is to the east after going outside. In King’s Road, you will encounter 4 enemies, showing it as if it was a cut scene. After killing them, you will be told that it is the best time to use the Spirit Strike. So run to the other group of enemies, press Y, and select Sword of Ashuran. Now another group of about 10 will appear. But not to worry, these are much easier to take out by using combos. Now be careful, a large group with 2 Aklorain Grotesques will appear. This time, I prefer to use the skill strikes, since there are too many enemies in the way to use the hit-and-run behind technique. When you’re finished, the sky will brighten up again, and you will be free to enter the castle. Make your way through this long hallway, and outside into the harbor. Outside, use the save point, onto Illumina, and enter a cut scene. Now, you will start in Tal’s house. Open the chest and collect florins and go outside. ********************************************** *VII.4.c. Objective 3: Report to General Arlo* ********************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 7 From here, head to the western exit. Go in through the door, and what do you know? Quest complete! ******************************************************* *VII.4.d. Objective 4: Report to the queen’s courtroom* ******************************************************* Levels: Tal-lvl 7 Now, you will have to go east. Right now, it is best to stop at the blacksmith, if you haven’t done so just yet. He can be found toward the left wall. My advice is to enchant the Shadow Armor with an anti venom (which is pretty expensive for right now) and the Mojo with a Razor Edge and a Bat Fang. Now lets go to the courtroom, which is the entrance is just above the group of stairs. Inside the palace corridors, you can either take the left or right way. It wouldn’t really matter, since it is just one large circle. The door you are looking for will be to the far northern side of the corridor. ***************************************************** *VII.5. Quest 4: Collect the crystal from Shadani-Mo* ***************************************************** ************************************************ *VII.5.a. Objective 1: Head south to Shadani-Mo* ************************************************ Levels: Ailish-lvl 6 Now we play as Ailish (she’s being a bad girl!). Follow the palace corridors to the exit on the south. Before proceeding, go to the inn, rest if necessary, and save. From here, go east and take the 2nd giant wooden door to the right (which is the same one you took as Tal earlier in the game). Continue straight to the long hallway, and out through the exit that leads to King’s Road. In King’s Road, you will encounter a number of Venom Gnats, they are the easiest enemies in the game and Ailish’s attacks are ranged. So you should have no problem taking on them. Once you are finsihed, head to the far end, and go in through the door. In Nolan Farm, Scarecrows and Venom Gnats will appear. Just be careful with the Scarecrows’ spinning attack. Then again, Ailish’s ranged attacks are much more dominant. Be sure to save before proceeding. After defeating the Scarecrows and Venom Gnats in the next arena, the path to the south, which was closed before, will now be opened. Continue through there. You will pass through a field of sheep. If you are interested, you can play the game of rounding up the sheep, and collect a price. Continue following the path to the east, which will cure around a tent. After going through the gates, you will be in a canyon looking area. Soon enough, you will encounter a new set of enemies, Woluves and Pack Masters. Pack Masters have the ability to quicken their allies, so aim for them first. They are the red colored wolves. If you happen to kill the Pack Master first, the Woluves will now become slow. Continue the journey by going west. When you come the road sign that points left and right, take the right way first. You will come down to the Altar of Mo the Cat. After going down the stairs to the left, a pack of Woluves will attack. After the battle, head up that path that looks like some broken down, old tree. When reaching the top, to the left will be wall that you can dispel, and you can enter to meet with Mandrik. At the very top will be a save point. After saving, turn completely around, and take that opening you see. Now we are back to where we fought the first group of Woluves. Lets go back to where we saw the 2 signs pointing in different directions. Now take the left direction. After taking out the group of Woluves, another group will appear, and Ailish will seem to be in trouble. Now its Tetsu to the rescue! He will give you the spirit strike Pure Land and the Witch armor. Now you can upgrade it even more. After the cut scene, head east and follow the path. It won’t be long now until you reach Shadani-Mo. You will notice that in front of the entrance will be a save point. When you enter Shadani-Mo, there is a path you can follow. At the first fork, you will have to take the right path (You will notice that there is a blacksmith at the very middle. So use the 2nd slot that Ailish’s new armor has. You will definitely need a Hex Proof. So go and trade any unnecessary items to help you get the florins that are required for this enchantment. Kamo’s shop can be found right when you exit Shadani-Mo. It will be straight ahead. Anti Venom will be very helpful too). At the 2nd fork, take the left and you will see an entrance to the right, which leads to Temple Mo. Go through there, but you will be told that in order for you to pass, you will need a permission from Carrick Lore. So from here, take a right at the exit and follow the path. Continue straight at the 4-way intersection and make a right at the fork. Go up the set of stairs you see, and straight into that tent. Talk to Carrick and he will give you a hunting spear, then open the chest in there to collect 100 florins. ************************************************ *VII.5.b. Objective 2: Clear Temple Mo (part 1)* ************************************************ Levels: Ailish-lvl 9 Now it is time to head back to Temple Mo. Step outside and head down the stairs. Take the path to the left and just stick to the left wall as you head west back to the temple. Follow the path up to the entrance and you will enter a cut scene. In front of the entrance will be a save point. Now lets enter the temple. You will be running down a path that will make sort of an oddly shaped “U” turn, heading underground (If you look at it on the map, it will look like an “8”). Enter the door and you will fight a wave of 4 spiders. In case if you get Slow Status Effect, your armor does not have the Hex Proof enchantment, use a sapphire panacea. It should cure you and give you immunity for the rest of the battle. If you are in the same situation with Poison Status Effect, use the emerald panacea. After killing them, 2 more will appear. Then another 2. After the battle is over, switch to Ailish and dispel the block that is on the most northern side of the circle you are standing on. Now switch to Tal and push straight toward the blue square on the floor. It should light a blue flame, this tells you that it is in correct spot (I feel sorry for those few who are colored blind). To its left, you will see a red square, and to the right will be a green square. Lets to go the right and pull the red block 1 space back. Now get on its right side, and push it 3 spaces forward (You should be moving west). Then push it north 1 space and it should light a red flame. With the green block, pull it back 1 space, push it to the east 3 spaces, and then north 1 space on the green square. Once all of the blocks are in place, the flames will shine white and a door will now be accessible. Go in through it onto another hallway. Here you will be able to save. Continue following the path. When you reach the room with the fountain, step into the water and your HP will be recovered. Too bad it doesn’t recover SP. You will see some sparkles that Ailish can dispel, so do it right now while you have her. You will see a gold crystal. This is used to fuel up Elco’s rocket pack and fly across the pit to open the chest. Nothing much to do here. So just get out and turn left. Passed the doors, you will encounter more spiders. Take then out and head up the stars that lie around the wall of the room. Once you reach the top, Ailish is going to have to dispel that door to the right. Here is another part where color blindness gives a total disadvantage. In this room you will have to collect the proper colored incense and added it to the flame that is in the center of the larger room. If you look, you will see 2 green flames lighted around a gate, and 2 purple flames lighted around another gate (That’s right. If you didn’t like mixing colors back in elementary school, you are going to have to do it now). At first, the flame in the middle will be white, so lets get rid of the green flames first. Go into the room where you can pick up the incense and get the yellow incense. Come back, and add it to the white flame. It should now burn a yellow color. Next go and pick up blue incense, and add it to the mix. The gate with the green flame should open. Go up the stairs, open the next gate, and prepare for a battle. Then, open the chest in the middle of this room, and collect the eagle totem. Now get out. Time to open the other gate. Collect blue and red incense, and add them in the flame. After the gate opens, go through and prepare for the shift of characters. ************************************************ *VII.5.b. Objective 2: Clear Temple Mo (part 2)* ************************************************ Levels: Buki-lvl 7, Elco-lvl 7 Now its up to Buki and Elco. You will be in a large circular room. Since the camera will be facing Buki, go right (Buki’s left). Climb up the wall to the left and collect the orb of might. Climb back down and continue to run in the same direction as before until you reach yet another wall to climb. Pull down the switch. The door you saw to the left while heading over here will now open. Go in through it and follow the path. Go through the door onto a small room and enter a battle. Then, go in through the door on the opposite wall from the one you came in through. Now you will be in another hallway that you will eventually have to get to the end. After stepping through the door at the end of this hallway, more spiders will appear. Time for Elco to take part in this job. On both sides of this room, there will be 2 gold crystals (The same type you saw earlier before if you dispelled the wall in the fountain room). Lets start on the western side. Have Elco stand next to the crystal and a purple gauge at the bottom left will fill up. This gauge represents how much fuel Elco’s rocket pack has. To fly, you must press and hold A and use LEFT THUMBSTICK to steer. You must fly through that big white ring at the side of the statue. Don’t worry if you fall. Behind the statue will be a set of ladders you can climb go get back up. Once you have flown through the ring, continue flying toward behind the statue and you will see another gold crystal. Land next to it. Refuel your rocket pack and fly through the ring in the eastern side of the room. This should cause the eastern door to unlock leading to another hallway. At the “T” intersection, make a left and collect an orb of might. Now turn around and head the other direction. Finally a save point! Passed the doors, Arconites will appear. This battle may be a bit frustrating because some of them teleport as you are attacking and others use this special attack that wipes out enemies around them. Another bad thing, they all attack in groups, so your combo may easily be interrupted. I advice to use skills. When the battle is over, open the chest on the eastern wall and collect the Shalizeh. I think its best to equip it now, since it has more strength. Plus, it also has more enchantment slots, which we can fill later. Go in through the door to the north. In this room, if you look to the left, you will see a statue that is blocking the way. You can go around it by using Buki and climbing the wall. Climb the second wall over the pit and step on one of those circles with the paw imprinted on them. It should light up. Now switch to Elco. Go in the opposite direction Buki went and refuel your rocket pack. Fly over the pit. You can continue flying the entire way, since you will have to fly over another pit before reaching Buki. Also, it gets this part done much faster. Step into the 2nd circle and go through the door. ************************************************ *VII.5.b. Objective 2: Clear Temple Mo (part 3)* ************************************************ Levels: Tal-lvl 9, Ailish-lvl 10 Time to play as Tal and Ailish again. Go through the door they start off in front of. In this room, as you move closer to the center, Arconites will appear. Take them out using skills. When you are finished, go to the eastern part of this room. If you look to the north and south, you will see the sparkles that say you must use Ailish. Dispel the norther block and have Tal pull it 3 spaces to the south. Now push it or pull it 1 space to the west. The floor should light up. Now onto the next block. Once dispelled, pull it 3 spaces to the north then 1 space to the west. The door closest to you should open. Go through it. After leaving the hall way, you will be in the same room Buki and Elco were in right before the 2nd character shift. Only this time, you are at the bottom level. Go left, heading toward the lower part of this room. At the very bottom, in the center will be a large square shaped floor, with 6 different blocks, and 4 of them have a blue sphere on it. Lets start at the north-eastern vertex of the large square. Pull that block east 1 space and then south 3 spaces. Lets leave it here for right now. Right next to the spot where this block used to be, is another block. Pull this one east 2 spaces and the south 1 space. The floor should light up, telling you that it is in the correct spot. Now lets go back to the first block you moved. Push it 6 spaces west and 2 space north, and that’s it for this one. One more left to go. You’ll see that it is right behind you. But don’t move it just yet. Instead, get on the southern side of the block that is right next to it (which this one should not have a sphere on it) and pull it south 3 spaces, which is the maximum it can go. From right here, go behind the block that is to your right, and pull it back 1 space. It seems this block you just pulled was standing on the spot where the block you are about to move is supposed to go. Get on the northern side of the last block with the blue sphere on it and push it all the way you can. It should be 3 spaces. Then push it east 1 space, and there you go. The giant dragon statue will spit fire at a large spider web that was blocking an entrance. Time to go all the way back up. When you go in to the hallway that was blocked by the spider web, you will see a save point (It was about time!). Continue through the hallway, and you will encounter Buki and Elco. ********************************************* *VII.5.c. Boss fight: Ghara Queen of spiders* ********************************************* Levels: Buki-lvl 8 At the start of this fight, quickly run left and stand next to that wooden obstacle with spider webs all over it. Watch Ghara, and wait until she lifts her head high. This means that she is getting ready to charge straight at you. When you see her do this, quickly get out of the way. She will ram herself straight into the wooden obstacle and will get stuck to it for a moment. Here is where you attack. Combos or skills work just as well. But I prefer to use the A, X, A combo. When you see her pull herself back to normal again, start running again to the next obstacle. Once she gets a hold of herself again, she will launch an attack that will strike in a 360 degree arc. After the attack, she will run back to the center of the room. Continue this process. After you get her health down to 50%, she will start using a new attack. This time, when she runs back to the center of the room, she will spit out a poison that can slow you. This attack goes in 3 different directions. So be careful. Since we haven’t had a chance to give Buki any enchangments, I advice to use a sapphire panacea at the very beginning of this battle. ************************************ *VII.6. Quest 5: Return to Illumina* ************************************ ************************************************************** *VII.6.a. Objective 1: Find a way out of The Realm of Shadows* ************************************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 9, Ailish-lvl 10, Buki-lvl 10, Elco-lvl 8 Great. Now we are in this freaky place. You will start off in the middle of a group of portals. Face north, and you will see a path you can follow. At the top, you will pass under a weird looking arc, with 4 blue spheres on it. Continue until you reach a bridge with a bunch of head floating around it. Be careful, these heads can take away SP. After crossing the bridge, you will encounter a save point. To both your right and left will be a gate that leads to a battle arena. Be careful, these guys can poison you just by coming in close contact with them. So most likely, you may have to use an emerald panacea to those who may not have an Anti Venom enchantment. When you kill each enemy, you will notice that they leave behind a red colored orb, or a “spirit orb”. Collect these as you go. Later on, the more you have, the more they will pay off. Go on through the gate at the most southern part of this arena. You will be running uphill, on a path that’s shaped like a giant “S”. When you reach the top, you will see a giant gate. But first, take the path to the left to collect an orb of might and a ghost orb, which will come in handy later. Now go through the giant gate you saw earlier before. Inside of them, will be another battle arena. This battle was really tough and took me pretty long in finishing, because it feels that there is just no end to the waves of enemies coming. When the battle is over, head east, and almost at the end, will be a gate to your left you can go through. When you are running up the path, you will see a save point, and a door to your right. I would rather save after you have gone through the door. When you step into the door, there will be a ladder to the right wall, which you can climb. Up on the 2nd floor, you will meet Hexam. ************************************************ *VII.6.b. Objective 2: Confront Lord Farex Lore* ************************************************ Levels: Tal-lvl 10, Ailish-lvl 10, Buki-lvl 10, Elco-lvl 9 After the cut scene with Hexam, you will appear back outside in front of his house. Now you can save if you haven’t done so. You can also go back to Hexam and rest. When you run down the path, and pass the small gate, turn left and go through the bigger gate. Now, you will have to cross another bridge with floating heads. But this time, there is nothing to worry about, that is though, if you obtained the ghost orb from before. The ghost orb not only prevents your HP or SP from being depleted, but it also replenishes them when you are hit by the heads. The bad thing about it, is that every time you step off the bridge, it disappears. Once you get to the other side, you will be able to save again and collect another ghost orb. Run up the stairs and in through the giant door. This room is really freaky. There are heads floating around you, which they may not do anything, other heads are implanted on spikes, and there is also a voice that tries to warn you. I assume its Lord Farex Lore speaking. But don’t let anything frighten you. Continue heading forward down the stairs and bridge. Past the gates, you will encounter Lord Farex Lore. ************************************** *VII.6.c. Boss fight: Lord Farex Lore* ************************************** Levels: Tal-lvl 13, Ailish-lvl 13, Buki-lvl 13, Elco-lvl 13 This fight can be pretty difficult and long. It starts off as Farex Lore summoning 3 of his minions. But do not let them stand in your way. Let your companions take care of them. Your main target is Farex Lore. What you should do if you are using a melee fighter, is stand in front of him, and maintain RIGHT TRIGGER held. The moment he strikes you, push left or right to quickly roll out of the way and start attacking him with a combo. But don’t linger too much. Then, run back and wait for him to come back to you again. If you run to him after finishing your combo, he will attack you by rotating his mace in a circle. Another good strategy is to attack with a few hits. Then press RIGHT TRIGGER and push back on the LEFT THUMBSTICK. Once you have somersaulted out of the way, go back and hit him again with another few hits or better yet, a skill. If you are using a ranged fighter, just maintain Farex Lore on your sight, always continue to shoot, and do not stay in one place. Always move around. ******************************************************* *VII.6.d. Objective 3: Retrieve the Navigational Stone* ******************************************************* Levels: Tal-lvl 14, Ailish-lvl 14, Buki-lvl 14, Elco-lvl 14 WHEW! I’m sure glad this fight is over with! Go past the gate to the east. You will see a wall that you can climb with Buki. But first, open the chest to the right to get the Debilitator. After climbing up the wall, you will have to climb down another wall. Once you get down, run along the wall that lies toward Buki’s left and you will encounter a chest. Open it and get an orb of might. Now go back to the wall where you climbed down and take the path the goes north. A bunch of rocks will rumble, but there is nothing to worry about. When you reach the end, Tetsu will give Buki the Mist Tiger, and the spirit strike Fire and Ice. Buki will also retrieve the Navigation Stone. Time to go back to the portal site. I am sure you can find your way back. If you need to, go to Hexam and rest. Be sure to have a ghost orb with you at all times. Also, don't forget to pick up the spirit orbs, because now is the time to use them. Right before you get to the portal site, you will encounter somebody who wasn't there before. His name is Pitt The Ferryman. He will give you special rewards for the amount of spirit orbs you hand to him. Here are the rewards you get depending on the total number of orbs you have given up: 25 spirit orbs-Jakome (Buki weapon) 50 spirit orbs-Batholith (Ailish weapon) 75 spirit orbs-Chronotron (Elco weapon) 100 spirit orbs-Preystalker (Tal weapon) Once you have completed this mini quest, he will give you florins for the spirit orbs, and other items. At the portal site, a cut scene will trigger. In it, the characters will use the portal that will take them to New Brightwater. Now you will have to head the house that is on the right hand side of the pier's entrance. On the west side of the house, you will find a man with a boat. He will tell you that you must find the oars if wish to use it. So from here, head straight to where the blacksmith is. On the right will be a spot that you can climb down with Buki. Down there, you can find the oars. Now take them back so you can head on home. ******************************************* *VII.6.e. Objective 4: Install the crystal* ******************************************* Levels: Tal-lvl 14, Ailish-lvl 14, Buki-lvl 14, Elco-lvl 14 Now we are back at Tiffion Harbor. Go up to the castle hallway's front door and head northwest across the drawbridge. Once inside the Southern Courtyard, head up the steps in front of you, into the Palace Corridors. At the fork, make a left and then a right at the first, and only door, you see. There will be a man dressed in green clothing. Talk to him. ********************************************** *VII.6.f. Objective 5: Report to Queen Lusica* ********************************************** Levels: Ailish-lvl 14, Buki-lvl 14 It seems Ailish is in trouble! Go inside the Palace Corridors again, make either a left or a right, it doesn't really matter, and into the door that takes you to the courtroom. ***************************************************** *VII.7. Quest 6: Collect the crystal from Transentia* ***************************************************** *************************************************** *VII.7.a. Objective 1: Head to Transentia (part 1)* *************************************************** Levels: Ailish-lvl 14, Buki-lvl 14 From this point, you want to go to where you fought the Aklorian Grotesque. So make sure you go through the Castle Checkpoint (the really long corridor), into King's Road, passed the Nolan Farm, and into the Illumina Countryside. Once you get to the arena where you fought the Grotesque, the way leading north will now be opened. This is the way you have to take to get to Transentia. After you
cross the bridge with the metal pipes next to it, you will see a junkyard to
your left. You can go in there to collect certain items. Then, you can continue
on north. Shortly after you cross the Transentia Road, you will come an arena
where you will encounter the War Wyrd. This monster may seem tough, but he
really isn't. He is able to recover his HP, by 50 for every 2-3 seconds. So you
may want to focus on him first, and kill him fast. When you leave the arena,
you will see a pine tree to your right. It is in front of an entrance, and can
be very easy to miss. But you will see it on your Navigation Map. Go in there,
make your way up the hill, and use Buki the climb up the wall. Up there, you
will acquire the Veshchenega, which is a weapong for Buki. Claim the weapon,
get back on the main path, and continue north. You will reach a save point.
Shortly after it, you will encounter a bridge, however, it is not in place.
First, use Ailish to dispel the switch on your right. Then, use Buki to climb
down a wall that is to your left. When you get to the bottom part of the
bridge, you will see a switch you can press. If you are interested in a totem,
you can follow the small bridge you are on right now to a wall that you will
have to climb down. Once down there, you will reach a large circular room,
where you will see some boxes, barrels, vases, and a chest. Open the chest to
acquire the cat totem. Now head back up and cross the new bridge, onto an
arena. After you defeat the enemies here, Tetsu will appear and give Ailish
her new Spirit Strike, Spirit Flute, and the Seraphitic Armor. Now head west.
To your left will be a dragon shrine. Which later on, when you play as Elco,
you will be able to offer any dragon totems you may have. Crossing over the
bridge to the west, you should enconter more enemies. Following the rest of the
path, it should take you through a mine-looking tunnel, and onto a place where
you can ride a flying ship. Talk to either one of the two robots there, and ask
to fly to transentia.

***************************************************
*VII.7.a. Objective 1: Head to Transentia (part 2)*
***************************************************

Levels: Tal-lvl 14, Elco-lvl 14

Now we shift characters. For this part, you just follow the path that Ailish
and Buki took to get to the flying ship. However there is a side note to it.
It's not really required, but I decided to write it in this part while I'm at
it. From where you start, move forward and be on the look out for a ladder to
your left. It might be a bit easy to miss, but you can tell it is there when
you see a gap in the stoned border. You want to climb down as Elco, since he is
required for this part. After climbing down the first ladder, you will see a
golden crystal on the catwalk you are standing. First of all, use the 1st
person camera view to look for a green flashing button on the other side of
the pit. It should be toward the west. Now that you know where the button is,
you must to fly there. So, refuel your rocket pack, and start flying. Try not
to use too much of your fuel, since you will need to use it again, without even
getting a chance to refuel it. When you press the switch, a gate will rise that
will reveal a chest. Now quickly, fly again. Head straight, try to avoid the
gate to your right. After you pass it, make a right. You will then see two
gates, with a small, tight space in between, go through there. The moment you
pass those gates, start angling to the right, because there will some boxes in
your way. After passing those boxes, angle back to the left and head straight
for the treasure chest. Now, you have acquired a dragon totem. Time to head
to the path Ailish and Buki made. If you want, you can offer your dragon totem
to the shrine I pointed out earlier. For the first totem, which is this one of
course, you will receive an orb of might. Now on to Transentia.

*********************************************
*VII.7.b. Objective 2: Find Professor Hayton*
*********************************************

In Transentia, you will have to do a short objective before you can go to your
actual destination. When you walk down the stairs, Azgarth will tell you that
the elevator isn't functioning. Ask him what is wrong. He will give you two cog
wheels and tell you that they must be inserted in the water pump. If you go
west, you will see a ladder. Climb up as Elco. Right when you get up, you will
see a golden crystal. Refuel your rocket pack, and fly east to the catwalk you
see. It should be a short flight. On the catwalk, climb up the ladder. On top
of the second catwalk, just fly east again, and insert the cogwheels on the big
machine you see. Now you can use the elevator. *note* If you're interested in a
dragon totem, on the second catwalk, fly west instead of east, and you will
reach another longer catwalk with a chest on it. *note* To get another totem, a
wolf totem that is, to the right of the very first ladder you climbed here in
Transentia, should be the entrance to a room with a bunch of movable boxes.
Here, we need Tal. Pay attention to this first. For easier reference, I am
going to name the boxes that you will need to move. The box closest to the
entrance is box 1. The box to the south of box 1 is box 2. The box to the west
of box 1 is box 3. The box to the west of box 2 (south of box 3) is box 4. Now,
pull box 1 as far as possible to the north. Then, push it all the way to the
west. Do the same thing with box 2. Now pull box 3 all the way to the north.
Last of all, pull box 4 just 1 space north. Now your path is made. Open the
chest to acquire your totem. Time to head to the upper part of Transentia. The
elevator you fixed should be all the way to the east. Before you reach it, a
cut scene will trigger. After the scene, you will be in level 2 of Transentia.
Walk down the stairs, make a right, and you will see a save point. Continue
heading west and there should be some stairs leading off to your right. Walk
down, and you will see a female robot. Talk to her, and she will ask you what
level do you want to go to. Choose level 3. The elevator doors will open, and
you will be free to walk in. Inside the elevator, press A to activate it. On
level 3, head up the stairs and go inside that vault-looking door to your
right. This is the entrance to the University. Inside the university, head
right, until you reach a spiraling stairway. Go up those stairs and a cut scene
will trigger.

********************************************************************
*VII.7.c. Objective 3: Obtain the crystal from the Reasearch Center*
********************************************************************

After the cut scene, you will be infront of the Transentine Research Center.
Before you go in, make sure your party is fully healed. If you need to, go to
level 2, and look for the Rusty Cog Tavern. Once you are ready, head into the
doors of the research center. Incase you can't find it, It will be on level 4,
directlyin front of the stairs that lead to the elevator. Inside the Research
Center, follow the tunnel all the way to the end. You will reach an elevator
inside a circular room. Break the boxes arount, step in the elevator, and press
A to activate it. When you reach the lower level, a cut scene will trigger, and
then you will have to fight a group of robots. These robots can be pretty hard.
If you are using a melee fighter, they can charge at you in the middle of a
combo, which can really get frustrating. Another thing is that they can recover
their HP to its max right when they are at the border of dying. After the
battle, a door to the east will open. Go through it. You will then be inside of
an office. Here, you will encounter a group of robotic arconites. Once the
battle is over, use Ailish to dispel the photo of Elco. You will reveal a room
with 4 switches. Pull switches 1 and 3 down. A door should open, but another
door behind it will be closed. Now push switches 1 and 3 back up, and then pull
switch 2 down. The door should open. Go in the hidden room and dispel the
chest. This chest should contain the Wizardwood. Now open the chest next to it
to obtain the master key card. Time to go back to the giant circular arena.
When you are back in there, the door you are looking for is directly in the
opposite side of the door you can out through (this room being a giant circle,
there aren't any "sides", but you get the idea). The door has 1 red light on
each side. Inside, there is a tunnel, which will lead you into the computer
room. Here you will face another group of Z 2000 model machines. At the end of
the cut scene following the battle, you will have to collect Raw Material. Walk
up the stairs, save if you must, and into the door to your left. The moment you
step into the elevator, switch to Buki and make a left turn, into a dark area.
When you step back into the brighter area, there will be a wall to your left
that you can climb. Use it to get to the other side and turn on the power
supply. It will be a switch you have to pull. Go back into the elevator, and to
your right should be 2 switches. Push the left one. The elevator will move
down. However, you will still not be in the proper room yet. So push it once
more. After it stops, there should be a door to the left hand exit. Follow the
tunnel into the mines. You will notice that once you are travelling in this
small tunnel, there will be a small to your left. Here is where you will have
to come after you get the Raw Material. In the mines, you will encounter robots
that resemble the Aquaticlaws. They can be really though. With the fact that
they don't react when they take damage. You will have to collect 6 Raw
Minerals. Each Extractoclaw will drop 1. You may also want to becareful with
the Suicide Droid. They'll selfdestruct. When you're finished, go back to that
small elevator. A cut scene will trigger. After it, take the large elevator up
to the next level. This time around, you will have to press the switch on the
right, to make it go up. You will now be allowed to enter the Processing Room.
Inside the Processing Room, you will have to step into the arena in the middle.
Enemies here are pretty easy. After the battle, Tetsu will give Buki the
Coelacanth Scale and the Blessing of Mo. From where you start, go left (it
should be towards Buki's right). You should see a bar on the floor. This is
where a wall used to be, but after the battle, it's been opened. Use Tal to
pull the block 1 space. Then, you should see another wall being lowered. Use
Buki to climb the revealed wall. At the top, she will run to a certain spot by
herself. Now we use Tal. There should be 2 batteries, and 4 generators. Get on
the east side of the left battery (it should be the side closest to the
generators). Pull it 1 space. Now go to its opposite side, and push it all the
way. A platform should lift, allowing Buki to step on it. Take the remaining
battery, and pull it to the north 3 spaces. Get on the west side, and push it
all the way. PUll the first battery 1 space west, 4 spaces north, and 1 space
east. Now follow the exact same instructions for the second battery. You should
be done here. Time to go back to Elco. Remember to push the button on the right
when you're on the elevator to make it go up. There will be more robots to come
back at the Computer Room. To the left of the door leading to Krenn, there
should be a short stair. Go up, and around the perimeter of the room. You'll
reach a ladder and a golden crystal. Use the crystal and climb up the ladder.
Up on the platform, look to you right, and you will see another platform you
will have to fly to. On that second platform should be another ladder to climb.
At the very top, the power switches will be to your left and right. Fly to
which ever one you prefer first. You should have enough fuel in your rocket
pack to fly to the next. If you don't, you can simply refuel it and make your
way back up. Once both have been pulled, The door to Krenn will finally open.
In the cut scene, Elco will be the only one who goes in through the door. For
the next part, I really recomend you to have Nano-Enhancement. Due to its
effect, it should be a strike you should have obtained a while ago. Anyways,
from here, just move on straight. There will be save point there, and I also
recomend that you use it. Afterwards, step into the elevator in the middle, and
the battle will begin shortly.

********************************
*VII.7.d. Boss fight: Krenn CPU*
********************************

For an easy battle, it is extremely long. Nano-Enhancement can really cut that
time. If you do have it, use it right away. Krenn will be walking toward you.
Obviously you will have to run backwards, while shooting at his red eye. But
there is also a catch to it. If he gets close enough, he will strike with his
left front leg. So you want to avoid this leg as much as possible. While
running backwards, strafe to the left at the same time. Once he gets close
enough, he will strike. Whether he misses or hits, he will start walking back
to the center of the room. When you see him doing that, chase after him.
But avoid being directly in front of his eye. For he will shoot a red beam,
that may not kill you instantly, but it is difficult to get off its range. That
is what will get you killed. Getting hit from it continuously. When he is back
at the middle, just get on either one of his sides, and strafe away from the
beam. When he finishes, continue this process. When you get his HP down to
about 40%, he will roll up in to a ball, then a giant tower will horizontally
stick out of one of the room'ssides, and this is what killed me. This tower
will regenerate Krenn's HP to its max every time you get it down to 40%. To
make matters worse, there are the total of 4 towers. Unless you destroy them
quickly, his health will continue to regenerate, and this battle will surely
take its time. Here is where Nano-Enhancement would really kick in. So destroy
1 tower, get his HP to 40%,destroy the next tower, and follow the process until
he is finished. One more thing, while his HP is recovering, there will be some
Suicide Drones attacking you. I just strafed around in an arc around the ball
that is regenerating all of the electricity. But you may want to watch out
though. If you happen to get caught right between Krenn and the tower, you will
most likely get hit by the electricity. After all the towers have been
destroyed, and you get Krenn's HP down to 40% percent again, his back legs will
start to fail, and will only be able to move by using his front legs. Now, when
he gets close enough after chasing you, he will do some sort of a tornado
attack. Just fight him like you have been doing this whole time, and he is
finished.

**************************************************
*VII.7.e. Objective 4: Return to Professor Hayton*
**************************************************

This task is very easy. Simply just find your way out of the Transentine
Research Center, which you may encounter a few enemies along the way, and once
you are outside, just look to the left. The professor will be right there
waiting for you. All you have to do is talk to him. After he leaves, head
straight west. You should see a big drill to you right. If you continue, you
will enter a cave-looking office. In there, talk to the professor again. Tell
him that you are ready to begin the experiment.

		**********************************************
*VII.8. Quest 7: Collect the Aklorian Crystal*
		**********************************************

************************************************
*VII.8.a. Objective 1: Investigate Crystal Reef*
************************************************

We are back at the Realm of Shadows. But there is nothing that has to be done
here. Just look for the portal that takes you to Crystal Reef, which at the
moment, it is the only active one, and use it. In Crystal Reef, you realize
that it shadows New Brightwater. Almost as if it was a dark world. Anyways,
when you go down and cross the bridge, continue to head on this path, without
making any turns. It should lead you straight to the exit. You may not notice
it, but there is a tree with a skeleton inside a hanging cage towards your
right. To the left of the tree should be an entrance. Go in it. Step inside
Mewsley's Mansion. Talk to the guy dressed in dark. He will tell you that
Nassaria has been terrorising the village. Ask him what's the problem. Then, he
tells you that you need to take away the Aklorian Crystal from Nassaria. Tell
him you will help. Now, you must find Kerfin Hall. When you get back on the
outside path, make a left, and head back into the town. If you stay on this
same path, you should see the curch to your right. Talk to the guy in front of
it. Tell him that you need one of the children. Now head south to the pier. At
the most southern part, you will find a man with green skin. Talk to him, and
ask him if he's found the Holy Symbol. He will give you the key to the
boathouse. It should be to your left when you exit the pier. Enter it through
the southern side. Pull the box closest to the exit 1 space south, and then 1
space west. Pull the next box 2 spaces south, and then the most northern box 1
space south. Now open the chest and collect the Holy Symbol. Take it back to
Esser Casser. Then, step inside the church. Talk to the little kid. He then
tells you that the grotto is at the bottom of the cliff, and Mewsley can
activate the elevator to get there. Now head back to Mewsley's Mansion, and
talk to him. You will now start right infront of the elevator. Step in, and
press A. Approach the giant clam, and a cut scene will trigger.

***************************************************
*VII.8.b. Objective 2: Clear out Nassaria's Grotto*
***************************************************

Inside the grotto, follow the path until you reach the large room with the
siren's painting. You will enter a cut scene. Then, continue to follow the
path all the way to the west, into a larger room with a statue of a siren, and
you will enter another cut scene. Great! Now Tal and Elco are no longer
playable for this moment. Now enemies appear. They are not so tough, so to say,
but they do regenerate their health, and can take out a serious number of your
SP. After the battle, head toward the back of the siren's statue and go up. If
you step on the blue ring in front of the statue, the weeds blocking the door
will perish. You will also learn that seafaring men offered pearls to the
mermaids. We must go hunting for pearls now. Head back to the far east side of
this room and go through the door that was recently unlocked. Follow this path
until you reach the large open arena. More enemies will appear. I found this
battle to be quite tough, being that the Crystal Crabs do not reach to any
damage taken, and also can break your combo. If you are able to use the
Blessing of Mo, then I suggest you do. It will double the damage you cause, and
cut the damage you take by half. Look for the long stairs, and the door to the
right. Let's take the door first. Take this path all the way up to the room
with the waterfall. There should be another door you can go through. In here,
more enemies appear. After taking them out, dispel the rock with the skull on
it. Get on the small platform and press A. Get on the larger platform, and
dispel the other small one and use it. Now use Buki to climb the wall and press
the button that is up there. Get back on the larger platform, and use the small
one that just appeared. It will take you to a chest with the shell key. Time to
head back all the way to the room with the long stairs, and take them. When you
reach the top, there will be 2 ways you can take. You will see to your left, a
door, which looks like it is generating some sort of energy. But instead, take
the entrance to the right. When you reach the end of this tunnel, you will
encounter a save point and a door. Through these doors, will come the most
complicated puzzle that will you ever have to solve. First of all, you will be
needing to switch from character to character consecutively. With Buki, run
along the western wall until you reach a smaller wall you can climb. When you
get up there, to your right will be 2 switches, one that you press, and another
one that pull down and push up. First, pull down the switch on the left. Then,
press the switch on the right. You should see 2 rib cages rise from the water.
One of them is in front of Ailish. So use her to cross to the other side.
Toward the left will be a switch. Pull it. Switch to Buki, push back up the
handle switch, and press again the other switch. More rib cages should rise.
One making it accessible for Ailish to get to another platform. When you cross
that second rib cage with Ailish, don't pull that switch you see. Run toward
your right across another rib cage that takes you to a chest. It contains an
orb of Vigor. Now run back to the switch you just saw. Switch to Buki, pull the
left switch, switch to Ailish, and pull her switch, then switch to Buki and
press her right switch. Now, do the EXACT samething you just did. As Buki, push
up the left switch, have Ailish push hers up, and last time with Buki to press
the one on the right. *Whew* Glad all of this switch pushing and pressing is
over. With Buki, follow the perimeter to of this room until you reach another
climbable wall. Climb down and run across the rib cage toward the clam is. Once
you get to it, step on either one of the rings. With Ailish, run across the rib
cage in front of her and you will see the clan. Step on the other ring. Now you
have collected the first pearl. All of the rib cages should be up. So making
your way back should not be hard. Once out of this room, BE SURE TO SAVE! I
know you will hate having to do this all over again. When you get back on the
endless stairway room, there should be a stair that Ailish can dispel. Walk up
to the door that's regenerating that energy and press A. This path will take
you back up to the singing siren chamber. If you press that button, 5 melodic
tones will play. If you go to your left, you should see 5 rings. Each ring will
play a distictive note when you step on it. The objective here is to match the
order of the 5 tunes you heard. From the angle you approach these rings, the
proper order to step on them is:

L=light

         _________
         | \
         | 1 \
         |3 4 \
         | |
         | 5 2 L /
         | /
         | __/
         | /

I hope the drawing helps. After you have stepped on all 5 rings in the proper
order, the 2nd pearl will appear on top of a small body of water. Just cross
bridge toward the east and collect it. Now its time to make your way back to
the statue. In front of the statue, press A to offer the pearls. Then, the
clam at the bottom, where Tal and Elco went in, will now open. This path will
lead you to the arena of the up coming boss fight. At the end of the path,
you will enter a large area, with 2 waterfalls in the far away view. To the
left is a save point. In the opposite direction, you will walk down some stairs
and enter the fight.

*****************************************
*VII.8.c. Boss fight: Nassaria the Siren*
*****************************************

When Nassaria dives underwater, you may want to use your radar to see where she
is going to come up next. When you know what side she is on, step as far back
as you can from there. The moment she comes up, start shooting. Nassaria will
attack 3 times. First, she will swing her staff. The attack will only cover the
area right in front of her. If you are standing as far back as possible, you
should not get hit. Her second attack is bashing the arena with her staff. If
strafe to the right, she will miss. After the second the attack, you will want
to strafe back to the left. Her third attack's range is similar to her second
attack. She will strike with her tail. Only this time, it will cover the area
to her left. Well, that's every attack she has, for right now. When you get her
HP down to about 40%, she will shift her attacks. Now, instead of swinging her
staff as a first attack, she will lunge it forward. So this time, stay out of
the middle. Her second and third attack are now reversed. Meaning her second
attack is with her tail, and third attack is with her staff again. One last
thing. When she is done with the third attack, her entire body will come out of
the water, and she will charge straight forward. Really, this is a battle that
you should not take any damage in. Being so easy, I never bothered to use skill
strikes. However, it is a good idea to use blaze ball, since it can help in
finishing her off quicker. If it happens that your SSP bar is at 200, you
should use Pure Land. It will knock off a good number of HP out of her. After
you defeat her, a new path will be formed. Follow it and enter a cut scene.

			****************************************
*VII.9. Quest 8: Rescue Ailish and Buki*
			****************************************

**********************************************
*VII.9.a. Objective 1: Escape from the Grotto*
**********************************************

For now, Ailish and Buki are no longer playable, but Tal and Elco are back. Tal
will start off with his final armor and skill strike. Before you move on pass
the door, save. This door will take you through a path that wasn't taken before
and it will lead you back to the entrance. Go up the stairs and into a large
area with waterfalls. Continue to follow the path around the perimeter of this
room. Toward the end of this path, you will be in a room with 2 doors. 1 of
them being magically locked. So you will need to come back later as Ailish. Go
through the other door. Follow this path until you reach an open area. It
happens to be the endless stair chamber. You will be at a fork. If you take the
left stairs, at the end, you will see a chest with 250 florins. The right
stairs will take you where you have to go. You will eventually reach another
tunnel. This tunnel will take you to another large open area. You should see a
save point. This is another fork. To the left is the save point, and to the
right is the continuous path. When you reach the bottom level, you will be in
the maze. As soon as you enter, enemies will appear. Take them out, and head
toward the far east. You will encounter another group of enemies. The path you
were on turns to the north. It curves making a giant "U". So now you are
heading south. Continue and you will reach another arena. After defeating these
enemies, on the most southern part of this path, you will reach yet a 4th
arena. The path will make another "U", curving north. Heading north, 5th arena
coming up. Shortly passed the arena, you will be at a fork. The right way wil
take you to a chest. Left way continues your journey. Following this path, you
will be back at the Singing Siren Chamber. However, in a different area. The
chest in here contains the Siren's Song, which is a weapon for Tal. You should
also see a block. So pull it. Now you are able to proceed into the more
familiar area. Now from here, make your way back to Mewsley. He will be waiting
for you in front of his house. He will give you the key to the village. He will
also tell you that you can get any item you want from his warehouse. Talk to
him again, and he will tell you that you that Ailish and Buki are held in
Cyantine Citadel. Now we can leave this place.

************************************************
*VII.9.a. Objective 2: Head to Cyantine Citadel*
************************************************

You most definitely will be worn out. So you may want to go recover at the
church. Also, don't forget to stock on items. Such as those that recover HP and
SP. And most important of all, save. From the entrance that leads to the front
patio of Mewsley's mansion, head north. You will encounter a gate. It can be
opened with the key Mewsley gave you. Follow this path and you will reach an
arena that will surround you with fire. Enemies here resemble scarecrows. When
you get out, there will be 2 paths you can take. Either one will end up in the
exact same place. But if you take the left path, you will encounter a wolf
altar. The right path will take you into an arena. Here, you may want to be
careful. Some enemies can shoot a 3 way energy attack. Not only that, but an
Abomination will appear, who resembles the Aklorian Grotesque. Continue on this
path. To your left, you will see the bridge that connects the 2 paths from the
fork. You will be at another fork. Take the left path. The right path will lead
you to a dead end with a wall that Buki can climb. Walking down the left path,
you will enter an even bigger arena. Right when you enter it, to the left you
should see a ladder that goes down. So take out the enemies and lets do this
short part first. Climb down as Elco. When you reach this first platform, on
the southern side should be another ladder you will need to climb down. If you
have any dragon totems, you can offer them to the shrine here in this second
platform. Look for the golden crystal and refuel your rocket pack. Facing west,
fly to that other platform. You may want to be quick, since your rocket pack
runs out of fuel fast. There really isn't anything to worry about if you fall.
You will just have to restart back from the platform with the first crystal. So
you don't have to go through the stress of loading your file all over again. On
this 3rd platform, recharge the rocket pack and stand on the border to the far
west. Fly to that next platform that lies further west. From here, fly north.
Climb up the ladder onto the raised platform. Up here, recharge the rocket pack
and fly directly south. You should see a small platform, but don't get on it.
instead, head to the platform with the crystal. From this platform, fly heading
southwest, onto that lonely looking platform. Now use the 1st person view mode,
and look to the southeast. You will see a platform that is not really on the
same level as this one, but much lower. Fly there. You may want to be careful,
since you will hit a wall right before reaching the platform. So let go of A,
and quickly press it again. Open the chest and receive the Omnium Rocket Gun.
It is very powerful. However, it has low fire rate. But I think it is best to
use it for your next few battles. Back on the arena you recently entered, go
all the way northeast. You should see a green sign. Press A in front of it and
It should say "to Cyantine Citadel". Follow the path it is pointing to. Cross
2 wooden bridges, onto another arena. If you happen to fight the skeletons,
don't bother attacking them. They won't die. Instead, you are targeting for
ribcage on the pile of bones. These are the sources that are keeping the
skeletons alive. Head towards the west. There should be a path leading north
that takes you to the final arena for this part. From this arena, head
nortwest. You should see a portal and a save point. You should also see the
entrance to what seems to be like a castle. If you go in it, you will notice
that this resembles the castle checkpoint from Illumina. Continue to follow it
all the way to the end and you will be in front of the gates that lead to the
drawbridge. As you step closer to the gates, a cut scene will trigger,
revealing that Cyantine Citadel is the shadow reflection of Illumina Castle,
and that Queen Lusica and Talos are working together to revive Heigou. After
the cut scene, you will automatically enter a battle. The enemies can be quite
tough, so use nano-enhancement right away. Continue to make your way into the
castle. When you step through the giant doors, there will be a group of boxes
you will have to move to make an entrance into the small room to the left. I
will give each box a specific number for easier reference. The position they
are in should look something like this:

             room | 31
                   |542

Pull boxes 1 and 2 one space back, which should be toward the northeast. Then,
pull box 4 toward the door (should be southeast). Last, push box 5 to the
northwest. Now the position they are in should look something like this:

             room |53 1
                   | 2
                     4

Inside the room should be a golden crystal. Recharge Elco's rocker pack.
Quickly, exit the room, make a left through boxes 1 and 3, and make a right
once you are out in big patio. To your right should be a hidden ladder you will
need to climb. The moment you are on the higher level, make a 180 degree turn,
and fly straight ahead. Becareful though, there will be a giant pipe you will
need to go around. Right behind it is where you want to land. Climb that ladder
that's there and head to the far left, where the switch that you are looking
will be. Now time to head into the main patio. A lot of tough enemies await you
there, so be ready to use Elco's nano-enhancement and Tal's iron warrior, or
you can just use Tal's Moon Wolf. Then, go north from the arena and you will
see a door (this area resembles the front of Kamo's shop). Passed this door,
you will be on a bridge. Just get to the other side and a cut scene will
trigger

			***********************************
*VII.10. Quest 9: Opening the Void*
			***********************************

********************************************************
*VII.10.a. Objective 1: Head to the Aklorian Stronghold*
********************************************************

We now have 3 new playable characters. Kazel has Tal's exact same fighting
style, Alexine has Ailish's, and Nico has Buki's. Right when you start, make
a right (it should be Tal's left since the camera is facing him). There will be
a save point. Now walk down the small stairs and head straight, passed the
little garden. Make a left when you come to another set of small stairs. You
will see a brightly lit door to your right. Go through it. Now you will be in
the bridge right before you triggered the last cut scene. From here, make your
way back to Devil's Belch canyon. I will use the save point next to the portal
as a starting point. From here, you want to go back 3 arena's. I'll give you
their specific name and which you want to reach. The first one is Ashembark
woods. Toward the south, is the first one in Devil's Belch Canyon. When you
enter the third one, stick to that left side as you walk forward. The path you
are looking for will be on the left. If enemies happen to appear, then the
flame that prevent you from escaping the arena will mark your path. Take this
path, and you will run into an eagle shrine with a chest near by. You will
eventually reach an open area, sort of looking like a small arena, but really
isn't. You should see a green sign pointing up a path. That's the path you want
to take. Up the path, will be an arena. From the opposite side of where you
came in is another path leading up. This will take you to a second arena. From
the entrance, just take a few step north and the path you need to take will be
to your right. You will reach something like a "t" intersection. If you go
right, the path will take you up to a plataeu, with a ladder. Up there, you
will get 250 florins. The left path of the fork will take you up to a save
point and that Void looking sphere. In the sphere, you will fight a bunch of
Wyrd Warlords. After that, a chest will appear contaning the Mammoth's Fang.
Back to the fork, take the remaining path. When you get to the rocky wall on
your left, there will be a ladder you can climb. Up there, is the shrine of
Olivitess (no, its not a shrine where you offer totems to). Instead, your party
will be fully recovered when you step foot on it. Somewhere along the edge to
the right will be a chest with 250 florins. Now go back down, dispel the rocks
in your way with Alexine and continue into the cave. When you make your out of
the cave, you will be in a snow field. Simply continue on this path until you
are able to see the Aklorian Stronghold. You will also see a portal to the
left, and there should be a save point hidden on the right. Now time to make
your way into the stronghold. As you approach the front door, the drawbridge
will drop. There is no going back. The front door is locked, so what you have
to do is take the stairs on the right. Passed the gate, you will enter an
arena. In this area, you will see 2 blocks (actually, one is already there, and
the other one has to be dispelled). There are 2 gaps along the northern wall.
So you are going to have to use Tal or Kazel, and place a block in each gap.
Now, with Nico, go to the most western part of this are. You will see a door
with a lock. To the right will be a wall you will need to climb. Take this
newly made path all the way to the end and pull the switch. Now you see the
other gate will open. Through this gate lies a puzzle with blocks. The
positions are as follows:

*=climbable wall

                  E

               | |
               | *|
               | 3 4|
        N 2 | S
               |1 6 |
               | 5 |
               | |

                  W

Push block 1 west. Push block 5 all the way south. Pull block 6 one space
north. Push block 4 one space east. Push block 3 all the way north. Push block
2 all the way west. Push block 6 one space west. Lastly, pull block 4 two
spaces west. Now your path is made. Use Nico to climb the wall and pull the
witch If you are not too sure of how the formation should look, here it is:

*=climbable wall

                   E

                | |
                | *|
                |3 |
         N 4| S
                | |
                |1 |
                | 26 5|

                   W

Now go and step in through the newly opened door. After the cut scene, pull the
switch along the eastern wall of this room. The main entrance now opens. After
stepping into the patio, you will see a soldier pulling on a rope that sounds a
bell, thus causing more enemies to come. This battle can really last forever,
only if you dont know how to properly handle it. In this part, you are going to
have to keep a close eye on that rope. If an enemy happens to pull it, more of
them will continue to come, causing to battle to never end. I like to use a
melee fighter for this part, since enemies react when they take damage by them.
So in this battle, the number 1 thing i can tell is, never take your eyes off
of the rope. When you are done, continue through the door on the south. Now you
enter another arena. In this patio, there is a door in each side. So first, go
in through the door on the east side. In this room, you can obtain a Faustian
Blade. Now go through the door on the west side. If you get close to the green
fire and press A, your party will be fully healed. Go through the door on the
south. In this room, you will have to fight 2 Aklorian Seige Ogres. However,
this time around is much easier. Not only because you are at a much higher
level and have a full party, but also because everytime you hit him, he will
react to the damage he takes. Now go in through the little gate. Kazel chooses
to do this part alone. Time for more block pulling and pushing.

*=starting point

Pull block 3 all the way east. Climb up the ladder. Climb down the other ladder
and pull down the switch. Now get back to where you started. Climb up the
ladder next to block 1 and down the other ladder. Push block 5 east and blocks
6 and 7 south. Place block 4 next to block 5. Push block 2 all the way south.
Climb up the ladder next to block 4 and climb down the one next to block 8.
Push block 8 one space south. Now pull block 9 one space west. Climb back up
the ladder you just climbed down of and climb down the other one. Push block 8
west. Lastly, place block 9 where block 8 originally was. Now your path has
been made. climb up the ladder that is next to where block 9 used to be. Pull
the block that is up there. This is how the blocks are now supposed to look
like:

                  N

Sadly, Kazel is no longer with us. You are now starting off in front of the
green fires that recover your party. Go back into the large patio (the arena).
Time to go through the door on the west side. Inside this room, we can finally
save. Go through the door in the west. You will enter another arena. Just a
bunch of woluves. Nothing too dificult here. Go through the through the door on
the south. This is the room where the Grotesques are created. They will just
continue to come if you kill them. So focus your attacks on the generators that
lie on the east and west side of this room. When the battle is over, step in
through the small gate with Tal. You know what is coming, more block pulling
and pushing. But not to worry, this part is alot less complicated, so I will
explain how to do this step by step. On your left, should be a block with its
rails facing east and west. Pull it one space to the right (west) and one space
down (north). You will see Nico move along. Now look for with a square block on
top of it. Move it two spaces north, and two space west. Next to the position
where that block you just moved used to be, is another block with its rails
making a 90 degree angle. For now, move it as far east as possible. Now, you
are able to grab the block with its rails facing north and south. Move it two
spaces east, two spaces south, and one more space east. Pull the block with its
rails facing east and west two spaces south. You are going to have to move
those blocks with the squared blocks on top. So move the first one two spaces
east, and one space north. Then pull the second block one space north. You
should now be able to move the block with its rails making the 90 degree angle.
Move it west three spaces and north one space. Pull the block with its rails
facing east and west up (south) one space and to the left (east). Now pull the
block with its rails facing north and south one space west, two spaces north,
and two spaces west again (it will now be in the same position when it was
originally). Time to go back again to the large patio. Make sure to save, for
there is a big boss coming up. If you also need to, then heal at the green
fires. When you're in the large patio, there is a ladder to the left of the
big door. Climb it as Alexine. Head all the way to the end and you will reach
another ladder. Up there, dispel the switch and we are done here.

********************************
*VII.10.b. Boss fight: Behemoth*
********************************

When this battle begins, notice the tubes on the ground that generate
Behemoth's power. Destroy the closest generator to you. Now run around the
perimeter of the arena and destroy the other one. Be careful while you are
running. Behemoth will shoot 5 energy balls that spread as they fly. If you are
moving quickly, you most likely will not get hit. Once both generators are
down, go up to him and start attacking, after he strikes. He will be vulnerable
after his attack since his axe gets stuck in the ground, and he tries to pull
it back out. If you have your SSP bar filled, then use Sword of Ashuran. When
you see the tubes light up again, you better start running back to either one
of the four shields. Behemoth is gathering up enough energy to use the attack
you saw in the cut scene before you started to fight him. This attack, will
deliver 2000 HP out of you. So make sure you are taking cover when you see him
charging up for it. After that, just simply repeat the process, and you will
have him defeated easily. When you obtain the vessel, head back to Cyantine.

*NOTE* it has just come to my attention that when you climb up to the shrine of
Olivitess, with either Ailish or Alexine, a trial will trigger. Olivitess will
ask you about 3 questions and you must answer them correctly. If you answer
them wrong, you will have to face enemies. Defeat them, and she will ask you
the next question. When you finish, she will reward you with an orb of wisdom.
Thanks goes to sorry stairs for letting me know about this!

**************************************
*VII.10.c. Objective 2: Elco's choice*
**************************************

When you get back to Cyantine, there will be a series of cut scenes. At the
last one, Elco will have to makes a choice. He either takes the Crystal, or he
leaves it. Either choice you make will end up the same way. I think there is
a difference however. If you decide to take it, enemies will appear on the
draw bridge that leads out of Cyantine. But if you leave it, they won't appear.
Another thing too, if you choose to leave it, you will get 100 XP. Take it and
you get nothing. When you get control of Elco again, Talos will be part of your
party. Sadly though, you cannot control him. From here, you want to go to the
portal that is located right outside of Ashembark Woods. If you don't know
which one it is, it's the one that is next to a save point right before you
enter the abandoned checkpoint. When you take this portal to the Realm of
Shadows, you will then need to take the portal that takes you to Illumina
Contryside. Now that we are back in Haskilia, you want to make your back to
Illumina Castle. When you get to the third tower, a pretty long cut scene will
trigger.

*********************************************************
*VII.10.d. Objective 3: Find Tilly and get her to safety*
*********************************************************

Step outside to the South Courtyard. Head toward the area where Kamo's shop is
located. To the left of the shopl, is a big door you need to enter. You will be
on the Coastal Balcony. Head straight, and notice right before you reach the
other door, there will be a ladder to your left. Since the guards won't let you
in, you need to use this ladder to sneak your way in. Climb down the ladder and
climb down the sewage tunnel. In it, you will have to climb up another ladder.
Now, you will be in Lusica's Garden. Follow path to the left. Make a right in
the first entrance. You will then be at a "t" intersection. Make a left and a
cut scene will trigger. Now we need to get Tilly to New Brightwater. For some
reason, the portals are not working. So you are just going to have to take the
longer way. The enemies in this part are extremely tough, and with Tilly with
you, that does not make things any easier. She is vulnerable and cannot attack.
So you better keep a close eye on her. They are 2 things about the enemies that
will really piss you off. They are able to do side roll most of the time, and a
lot of your attacks will be dodged. The other thing is that when they are on
the border of dying, they can recover their HP to its max. It took me a while
to beat this part because I always used the Proton Phaser. With this weapon, it
can take forever just to kill 1 enemy. I realized the best weapon to use is the
Omnium Rocket Gun. Since it is very powerful and it can damage multiple enemies
in one shot, this is the gun I advice you to use. Also, don't forget to use
Nano-Enhancement. Right when you get to Nolan Farm, Tetsu will give Elco his
second Spirit Strike and the Alloy Shield. The Spirit Strike Unkind Universe
quickens Elco and slows enemies. So it might be a bit helpful when Tilly needs
to run away from them. When you get to Newbright Water, go straight to Densi's
House (its the big blue and green house you had visit when you were looking for
Ailish as Tal). After the cut scene, take the portal near the light house to
the Realm of Shadows. Then take the portal to Devil's Belch. Lastly, head to
Caprine's Keep, and end this final quest.

Now that everything in the storyline has been done, its time to face the demon,
Heigou. If you still feel like you need to level up a bit more, go the to arena
in Ashembark Woods. Also, have Tal's strongest weapon (the one you like to use
the most) fully upgraded. Whenever you are ready, talk to Caprine. She will
transport the 8 characters to the void. The rest will occur in a cut scene. You
will realize that Talos, with Heigou's energy flowing through him, is the one
you are going to have to fight. Tal, is the chosen character for this fight.

			********************************
			*VII.11. Final Boss: Lord Talos*
			********************************

Time for some serious blade-to-blade action. Being that Talos uses melee
attack, there are 2 things you will be doing the most throughout this fight.
Blocking and regular attacking. Stand in one spot and have RIGHT TRIGGER. When
Talos comes up to you, he will start attacking with his combo. Right when he
has finished, lower your guard, and start slicing away. Any combo works, but
try to avoid using the X,A,X and A,X,A combos, since they leave you wide open
for an attack as Tal gets ready to launch the last strike. When you get his HP
to about 80%, he will use a skill strike that can slow time. What you do here
is press RIGHT TRIGGER, do a sideflip, then backflip, then sideflip, and
continue until time is normal. This always works for me, and I guarantee you,
if you do it just properly, he will miss everytime he strikes. Continue the
fight as you were before. Talos will then use another strike, causing him to
split into 3. However, 2 of them are fake and one is real. The 2 fake ones are
much weaker. This is the time I rather use skill strikes. Being how they are
always sticking together, I use Shin Splitter. Through out the rest of this
fight, Talos will mostly continue to use these 2 skill strikes. When his HP is
down to about 40%, he will use a 3rd skill strike. He summons a skull that
attacks you. Not only that, but he will use the status effects of boost, haste,
protect, and regen. And if you still manage to get through these few skill
strikes, you got another thing coming. That's right, a 4th and the most power
skill strike. He will again freeze time, but this time when he charges at you,
there is no dodging him. He will always land his strike, and no matter how much
HP you have, you will always be left with 1 HP. When time goes back to normal
again, he will just stand there looking pretty. So you should have just enough
time to use a couple of Healing Potions or Tinctures. Just do not hesitate.
Once you have recovered enough, get back to the battle. Being that he only has
about 10%-20% of his HP left, just lay a few more strikes on him and he should
be finished.

Congratulations! You have beaten the game. I won't spoil then ending. But
really, there isn't much to spoil. But check out the game ending story.

VIII.Game Ending Story
*******************************************************************************

And so the fable fell into to the past
Sudeki was born bright at last.
When truth be sought, the truth will out
And brightness caused the darkness out
Know thyself with all your thought
And all before will see you as you truly are

IX.Side Quests

running around the place. If you talk to them, they will ask you to spare them
some money. But what they really do is take it and run off with it. You will
have to go and find them to get your money back. Each will be hiding in one of
  the follwing places:

-next to the inn, behind a breakable barrel
-in front of the wall to the left of the blacksmith
-in between the 2 rows of stands closest to the blacksmith
-behind the stand closest to the entrance to Tal's home
-between a tree and a vase to the right of Kamo's shop

  about this door later.

2.Quest: Collect 5 Gnat Stingers for Kilk
  Place: New Brightwater pier
  Reward(s): 750 florins, 50 XP

On the pier, there will be several fishermen. Talk to Kilk, which should be
the first one you encounter, and tell him that you like to hunt better than
to fish. He will ask you to collect some Gnat Stingers for him. In the
Illumina Countryside, you will now encounter Scarecrows and Gnats. Kill the
Gnats and some will drop Gnat stingers

3.Quest: Collect Brightwater pearls for Sunder-Rah
  Place: New Brightwater
Reward(s): Remi's Trinket, Skill Tincture, Miracle Potion, Kirklin-Rah's key

After you have met up with Ailish, Sunder-Rah wants to test your ability to
kill. Talk to the short kid in front of the save point. He will tell you to
collect some Brightwater pearls. He will give you different rewards depending
on the number of pearls you give him. Brightwater pearls are mostly left
behind by enemies on Brightwater beach. These are the numbers of pearls he
  accepts at a time:

  1st-1 pearl
  2nd-5 pearls
  3rd-5 pearls
  4th-10 pearls

Once he gives you the key, take it to one of the locked tents, which should
be around the entrance to New Brightwater. In it, climb up the wall as Buki,
and open the chest to get a cat totem.

4.Quest: Remi's Trinket
  Place: New Brightwater
  Reward(s): 15 XP

This quest can only be done after you have completed the first part of
Sunder-Rah's quest. He will give you the trinket after you have given him 1
Brightwater pearl. Then, take it to the little girl that is walking around
  New Brightwater.

5.Quest: Find the red door
  place: Illumina Castle; Coastal Balcony
Reward(s): Orb of Power, 25 XP

Once you have returned to Illumina Castle and have obtained your new quest to
head to Shadani-Mo, the door that lies to the left of Kamo's shop will now be
opened. Head throught it and at the end will be another door with 2 guards.
On the left should be a ladder you can climb down. Turn around and you will
see the red door. Inside, climb all the way up the stairs, until you reach
the end. Open the chest. On the table, you will also see a journal entry. It
is very interesting to read it.

6.Quest: Rouding up sheep
  Place: Illumina Contryside
  Reward(s): Illumina Opal, 50 XP

When you get to a field with lots of sheep, the Shepherd is going to want to
challenge you to beat his time. The trick here is to round all of them up
before you talk to him. Since they won't go in if you are not in the
challenge, get them all in one spot. So once you talk to him, they will all
be right there where you can round all of them up in one shot. You can also
continue coming back here and repeat the challenge.

7.Quest: Collect 3 Glue-Spider Ducts for Tamista
  Place: Shadani-Mo

to him. Every enemy in the Realm of Shadows leave behind these orbs whenever
you kill them. Pitt will accept 25 orbs at a time. After you have given him
100 orbs, he will start to give you florins for them.

10.Quest: Collect 3 Cyantine Eyes for Arlo
   Place: Illumina Castle; Training Yard
Reward(s): Arlo's room key, 100 XP, Orb of Sanctuary

Back in Illumina after the long adventure in the Realm of Shadows, General
Arlo is going to be standing next to the arena where Tal first began the
game. He is going to ask you to collect Cyantine Eyes. These are extremely
rare and have no specific place to be. If you are lucky, they will just pop
up when you kill an enemy. When he gives you the key, go to Lusica's Garden,
and you will find his room there. Be careful though, if you get spotted, you
   will get kicked out.

These next few quests will become available from the moment you get your
objective to go to Transentia. They are all in New Brightwater and require you
to go to Brightwater Beach and collect a specified item hidden in 1 out of 4
boxes. However, inorder for each person to give you the command, you must talk
to Jim the lighthouse keeper. He will be the first person to send you there.

18.Quest: Ring the 5 bells
   Place: Shadani-Mo

Once Queen Ghara has been killed, a young Shadani boy walking around wants
to test you in the bell run. He will give you 2 minutes and 50 seconds to
   complete it.

19.Quest: Trials of Mo
   Place: Shadani-Mo
   Reward(s): 3750 Florins, Cat Totem

Somewhere outside of the entrance to Shadani-Mo is a cave. First, you need
Ailish to dispel the entrance to the cave. Then, you must have Buki inorder
to take the Trials. Each trial is a battle, each contaning 3 waves of
enemies. After you have completed the each trial, a chest will appear
containing different rewards. After the last trial is complete, the chest
   will contain a cat totem.

20.Quest: Heart's Heart
   Place: Transentia; level 2
   Reward(s): Dragon Totem

In front of the entrance to the Rusty Cog Inn is a female robot. She will
ask you to find her heart in the Transentia Research Center. What you must
do is fight Krenn CPU. Before leaving the research center, head back to the
mines. A group of robots will appear. They will leave behind the heart
circuit once you kill them. Take it back to heart.

21.Quest: Fight the War Machine
   Place: Transentia; level 3
Reward(s): Huge Gold Bar, Dragon Totem

Only Tal can do this. Look for a ladder that takes you up to a robot. He
will ask you if you want to face the War Machine. When fighting the War
Machine, it is best to cast Iron Warrior the moment you see him glowing. He
is getting ready to use his attack, which will cause 2000 damage on Tal. Try
to run away as far as you can when he gets ready to unleash his energy. I
like to have my essence really high and continously cast Geyser Charge and
Blade Dance. If you choose to fight him regularly, block, wait until he
strikes you twice in a row, then attack with a quick combo. This way, it
takes some time, but you will eventually win.

22.Quest: Collect onmiun for Lupa
   Place: Transentia; level 5
   Reward(s): Power Plant Key

On the top level, look for a bulding on the far corner. In it is a girl
looking through a telescope. She will ask you to collect pieces of omnium
for. Enemies in the research center leave behind omnium.

X.Totem Quests
*******************************************************************************

I will list how to get the totems in the order they become available

1.Totem: Wolf
  Place: South Courtyard

As you enter the room before the drawbridge, you will see a staircase to your
left that leads up and a door to your right. Go up the stairs and press the
green button you see. Now quickly run into the room you saw earlier (the door
that was closed) before the the timer runs out. Open the chest.

2.Totem: Eagle
  Place: Brightwater Beach; Shack

When you have Ailish, enter the shack and dispel the eastern wall. A chest
  will be behind it.

3.Totem: Eagle
  Place: Illumina Countryside; Well

On your way back to Illumina after visiting New Brightwater and getting
Ailish, on the path before reaching the Wolf Shrine, should be a well that
can be dispelled. In it is the chest containing the totem.

4.Totem: Eagle
  Place: Shadani Temple

In the part where you are supposed to mix the incenses, open the door with
the green flame (use yellow and blue incense). The small, bright room is an
arena, and it also contains the chest.

5.Totem: Wolf
  Place New Brightwater

When your Objective is to head to Transentia, Jim the lighthouse keeper wants
you to collect his Coastal Lightbulb. Once he gives you the quest to find it,
other people in New Brightwater are going to have items they want you to
retreive. There is a female with a white and red dress walking around. Her
name is Sasan Miko. She will ask you to retrieve her Oil Painting. Go to
Brighwater Beach, and smash the boxes there. If its not in any of them, step
out of the arena and wait for them to reappear.

6.Totem: Cat
  Place: New Brightwater

When your objective is to head to Transentia, you will be free to roam around
the country with Ailish and Buki. After fully completing Sunder-Rah's
Brightwater Pearl collection quest, he will give you a key to a locked tent.
In it, you must climb up the wall as Buki and open the chest

7.Totem: Cat
  Place: Spirit Canyon

Heading toward the area where Ailish got her skill strike, is a waterfall
with a chest behind it. Use Buki to climb the wall so you can reach it.

8.Totem: Cat
  Place: Shadani-Mo

Somewhere outside of the entrance to Shadani-Mo is a cave. First, you need
Ailish to dispel the entrance to the cave. Then, you must have Buki inorder
to take the Trials. Each trial is a battle, each contaning 3 waves of
enemies. After you have completed the each trial, a chest will appear
containing different rewards. After the last trial is complete, the chest
  will contain a cat totem

9.Totem: Cat
  Place: Illumina Contryside; Copper Fields

Heading to Transentia, the part where you have climb down as Buki to press
the button for the bridge, there is an even lower level from there. Look for
that wall that you can use to climb down. Down there is a circular room with
a bunch of boxes and vases, and with a chest

10.Totem: Dragon
   Place: Copper Fields

When you are heading to Transentia and start to play as Tal and Elco, have
Elco climb down a ladder that lies before reaching the bridge that had to be
set up. After climbing down the first ladder, use the Golden Crystal to
refuel your Rocket Pack. Fly across to the other side and press the switch.
You will see a gate rise. Before the timer runs out, fly your way there and
   to the chest.

11.Totem: Dragon
   Place: Shadani Temple

In the room with the healing fountain was that wall that you had to dispel.
go back to it as Elco, and use the Golden Crystal to fly to the other side
   where the chest is.

12.Totem: Wolf
   Place: Transentia; level 1

In the area where you had to place the cog wheels into the water pump. Under
it, should be a small room with a bunch of blocks to move. Get then all out
of the way and get to the chest

13.Totem: Dragon
   Place: Transentia; level 1

In that same area with the water pump, instead of flying toward the water
pump, fly in the opposite direction. You will see a chest on top of a small
   cat walk

14.Totem: Wolf
   Place: Transentia; level 3

Only Tal can do this. Look for a ladder that takes you up to a robot. He
will ask you if you want to face the War Machine. Defeat the War Machine
and you will then be able to open the chest with the totem.

15.Totem: Dragon
   Place: Transentia; level 2

In front of the entrance to the Rusty Cog Inn is a female robot. She will
ask you to find her heart in the Transentia Research Center. What you must
do is fight Krenn CPU. Before leaving the research center, head back to the
mines. A group of robots will appear. They will leave behind the heart
circuit once you kill them. Take it back to heart.

16.Totem: Eagle
   Place: Transentia; level 5

Once you have completed the quest to retrieve omnium, look for a wall, in
that same level, that Buki can climb. Up there, use the key you got to open
that room. The chest is in that room.

XI.Frequently Asked Questions
*******************************************************************************

Q.Are there Shrines for Kariston and Lebius that can test you with trials?

A.From the looks of it, no. The shrines would be placed in a "hidden" area. But
I dont't think they would be in a nearly impossible to reach area.

Q.Will there be a sequel to this game?

A.Climax hasn't announced any plans for making one.

XII.Conclusion
*******************************************************************************

I would like to thank Climax for making such a great game.

Again, thanks to sorry stairs for telling me about the trial in Olivitess's
shrine.

I also would like to give a special thank you to DJ Tigresa, for helping me
with fixing the format of this FAQ.
