CONTROLS ================================================================================ This game can be played by keyboard and mouse and x68000-compatible-joystick.... It is not really considered a common video game imho. This one is like a compilation of books, musics, pictures, and video games. For the games part, this compilation actually has some kind of user manual inside it that has been written very well in Japanese. The controls part is included. I have some explanation in "simple word": Hitton: [D] or joystick -> key: to accelerate the block movement for player 1. [->] or joystick -> key: to accelerate the block movement for player 2. I think this is not very necessary imho because the block movement is always fast or too fast. [X] for player 1, right [Enter] for player 2 or joystick button 2: to make the block goes through other blocks to the right. [Esc]+[Q]: to quit the game and go to Main Menu. F6: Pause the game. For the second game..... well.... I think this game is too difficult for me. It's actually a common game outside called Sudoku, thanks for some searching engine for this ^_^ Some people say that this game is fun, and can last until several days.... If you use joystick, the control scheme will be very simple, you can figure it out by yourself. ================================================================================ B. RULES ================================================================================ This section should be only applicable to the video game part of this compilation, which has two games: 1. Hitton. This is like a simple puzzle game, like tetris, which in this case, only can goes to the right. You only need to compose the blocks: 3 or 4 same block side by side, so that they disappear. There are several types of this block: the usual block that needs to be managed three of them, the blank block that needs to be managed four of them, the slash (/) circle is special in this game: because this circle has to be placed besides the three or four identical usual/blank blocks, could be left, right, or both. You can't place the slash circles besides each other side by side no matter how many they are. In later stages, where these circles are many, you could get Game Over easier. The >> block appears only one per stage when the game is about to over. It clears the adjacent block and any same blocks that are on screen. It can't clear the slash circles. 2. Number Place. You have to place the number 1 to 9, so that no number is identical in a row, a column, and the 3x3 box. ================================================================================ C. GENERAL TIPS ================================================================================ There is no really tips in these games, except you know how the game "works", and be serious yourself. For the Number Place.... I think some of you may know it better than me... ================================================================================ D. WALKTHROUGH ================================================================================ --------------------------- The screenshot for this game is available at: https://www.gamefaqs.com/x68000/202833-148-gou-dennou-kurabu/images --------------------------- This compilation should consist of two disks instead of three disks. You can boot this compilation by inserting disk A into Floppy Disk Drive 0 alone. I'm not very sure if the disk auto-boot or not...., should be auto-booted. Disk A: To boot the entire compilation. Disk B: To boot the game Hitton inside the compilation. Disk C: ??? After this "game" boots successfully, you will be greeted with the picture of Sun Wu Kong, and the title screen, then you will enter the Main Menu. I find that the Main Menu is much easier to handle with Mouse, although it has some keyboard shortcuts, like: [V]: Stop the music. [B]: Play the music from the beginning Some more details are available on the [Menu] part of the bottom "taskbar". You should click the two-circles-thing on the left part to confirm your selection. For more details, please go to: https://www.gamefaqs.com/x68000/202833-148-gou-dennou-kurabu/images/25 Oops... After I check this image, I didn't point onto that circles. Sorry, guys. >__> Left mouse button to scroll down the page, right mouse button to scroll up a page. The Main Menu consists of the menu itself and something like, top and bottom taskbar. The Menu itself: ------------------------------------------------------- -Introduction for this game. -Installation.... or something like that.... but, I think this compilation is fine as is... ------------------------------------------------------- -Music part -Pics part -Something to read -Video game part ------------------------------------------------------- -Reading corner -I think... it's another something to read ------------------------------------------------------- -Inquiry about 148 gou dennou kurabu ------------------------------------------------------- The top "taskbar" has time and date, and two things that can be clicked: -Child. -End the whole program. These two seem to do the same thing. It's to be going back to the... like DOS mode for PC. The child program seems to be still inside the compilation, while it really looks like "DOS mode". You can use [dshell] command, and sorry if I don't explain the detail of the command. ^_^ I don't know how to go back to the compilation part using this dshell command. If you quit the whole program, you can use [autoexec] command to run the program again. The bottom "taskbar" has some menus as well: -Go to the starting point. -Go to the next "page". Kinda like [PageDown]. -Go to the next section. The documents inside are divided into sections which have sign, like a full-line. -Go to the next row. -RGB: Change the background color and more color. -Mesh: Add some scan lines into the background. You can choose the type of the scan line. -Find: Search some keyword. -Load: You open some file with this, but I, currently, don't know the file name. -Print. -Menu: 1. Realtime Scroll Window Size: Full/Half 2. Keyboard-Mouse Switch: On/Off ----Emulating mouse using keyboard. 3. Joystick-Mouse Switch: On/Off ----Emulating mouse using joystick. 4. Cursor Speed Switch: Normal/High 5. Change page: 1-30 6. Resume playing music. 7. Stop playing music. 8. Start playing music. 9. This one explains the main menu. The game says: Manual. 10. Print. -This is like: Change page. In Notepad program for Windows, this is placed on the right part. The default color is red, the line number is shown on the right of it. -Return: Go back to Main Menu, or previous menu. I only explain the music, pics, and video game part from the Main Menu. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D01. Then, after the computer responds, you're ready to click back to Main Menu. HITTON ------ The only game inside the compilation which still can be explained, while there is a User Manual inside this game. In case you don't understand Japanese, this document is what it is made for. You have to insert disk B into Floppy Disk Drive 1 to be able to boot this game. Click the double-circle under [Hitton Ver. 1.01] on the left of [Game start] to play this game. You have to wait for a momment before the title screen plays. There are three options to select: 1. Start game 2. Rankings 3. Quit the game back to Main Menu Firstly, press joystick [Button2] to start the game. The blocks with various designs and colors will "fall" to the right, and when your game row is full with these blocks and/or circles, the game will be over. You must press joystick [Button 2] to make the blocks/circles which are "falling" to the right go through the blocks/circles which are already set to find its adjacent same design. Three blocks are enough to make the blocks with design/color disappear, and four blocks are enough to make the blank blocks disappear. As the game goes on, the blocks will get more varied and the speed of the "falling" block will be increased. Starting from level 2, the yellow block will be added. Stage 3 will add the Slash Circle. Stage ~14 will add the blank block. The resulting matching from a usual matching does not have any name, let's call this [Combo]. Combo will give you more scores, the same with matching blank blocks. Stage 80+ will add some difficulty because the Slash Circle will be given more, until stage 99 the speed will be reduced, but the game will not end until your game row is full. The scoring: -Level 1,2,3 usual matching: 10pts. x the number of blocks matched (>=3) Level 4,5,6,7: +10pts. for each block. Level 8,9,10,11: +10pts. for each block, and so on. -Level 1,2,3 combo 3 blocks: 210pts. Level 4,5,6,7: +30pts. Level 8,9,10,11: +30pts. and so on. -Level 1,2,3 combo 4 blocks: 560pts. Level 4,5,6,7: +80pts. Level 8,9,10,11: +80pts. and so on. -Level 14,15 matching the blank block: 320pts. Level 16,17,18,19: +80pts. Level 20,21,22,23: +80pts. and so on. -Level 14,15 combo 4 blank blocks: 800pts. Level 16,17,18,19: +80pts. Level 20,21,22,23: +80pts. and so on. -Level 14,15 combo 5 blank blocks: 1500pts. Level 16,17,18,19: +150pts. Level 20,21,22,23: +150pts. and so on. -Level 14,15 combo 6 blank blocks: 2400pts. Level 16,17,18,19: +240pts. Level 20,21,22,23: +240pts. and so on. -Accelerate the block movement during going through: 1pts. per time, really does not worth it, in my opinion. Comboing 6 blank blocks gives you a very big scores, but the risk is VERY high. Even four or five should be very difficult, you shouldn't do it whenever the level gives you so many Slash Circles. NUMBER PLACE ------------ Seriously, this game is too difficult for me. If you search the internet, you may find someone who is better with this game. I haven't found any way to quit this game after you mistakenly start this game. >___> X____x ================================================================================ E.
