This heir to the thrown, Mantaro Muscle (aka Kid Muscle), is now a teenager, and holds the destiny of the Universe in his hands. With Meat as his coach, Kid must protect Earth and the other planets from falling into the hands of the DMP (Demon Manufacturing Plant). How? Fighting in the International Wrestling Federation, of course! Kid will fight alongside the rest of the Muscle League, and will also have to put his dukes up against the likes of Generation Ex; a wrestling league that was formed to replace the Muscle League as protectors of the Universe. Kinnikuman Nisei: Dream Tag Match, produced by Bandai, is a wrestling game for the Wonderswan Color, a Japanese-only handheld console. The game is based on the manga/cartoon called Kinnikuman Nisei (known in English as Kinnikuman Second Generation, or in the dubbed version of the cartoon, "Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy"). It is based after the original manga, Kinnikuman (or M.U.S.C.L.E. in the English-dubbed world), written by Yutemango of Jump Comics. This strategy guide will look into each character, show their moves, tactics, biographies, and special tips for using them effectively. Hopefully, at the end of this guide, you will be able to pick up your Wonderswan Color and defeat each opponent you face (I don't mean real life opponents, and I sure as heck don't endorse the use of a Wonderswan Color as a weapon). =============================================================================== _____________________ ===VERSION HISTORY=== --------------------- v1.0 - Finished on Sunday, 11 July, 2004 at 3.30 PM. =============================================================================== ____________________ ===ABOUT THE GAME=== -------------------- Kinnikuman Nisei: Dream Tag Match is a wrestling game for the Wonderswan Color, featuring the cast of Kinnikuman Nisei (or Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy/Kinnikuman: Second Generations) in a battle to victory. The main story follows Mantaro Muscle (Kid Muscle), the prince of Muscle Planet and son of King Muscle, an ex-wrestling champion, who fought for peace and justice in the Universe. Kid has now been chosen as King Muscle's predecessor in wrestling history, and must now defeat every opponent that comes his way, stopping total domination by the DMP-an evil wrestling league that want to take control of the universe-and the loss of his fanbase, which includes the love of his life, Rinko (Roxanne). This game sports up to two players, features 14 characters, and has superb graphics, which the Wonderswan Color is well-known for in the handheld industry (unfortunately, not many people outside Japan know about the Wonderswan or Wonderswan Color - hopefully everyone will be enlightened in the near future). =============================================================================== ________________________ ===RULES AND CONTROLS=== ------------------------ The rules are pretty straight forward. At the top of the fight screen, there are two bars--one blue, one red. Your health is the blue bar, and your opponent's is red. Try to get your opponent's health all the way down to knock them out and win the round. The winning wrestler must win two rounds each match, and to represent winning a round, a trophy will appear next to the life bar of the winner. A third round will occur when both sides have won a round each. Alternatively, there is a clock in between both life bars, representing the time left in a match. If that clock reaches 0 (30-second clock), the winner is whoever has the higher life bar (more health). Every now and then, during the match, you will see Alexandria Meat (known as "Meat" in the English versions of Kinnikuman anime/manga). He will move from left to right across the screen, and eventually throw a yellow orb-shaped object into the ring. When one wrestler obtains it, their bar at the bottom (a grey bar with three sections) will fill by one third (one section of the bar). The wrestler may either build up more of the bar, or release it through Ultimate Muscle, allowing them to perform their trademark finisher move or special attack on their opponent. Each yellow orb obtained after that will replenish a small amount of the character's health. Special moves will be explained further in both the controls section and for each separate character in their own section. When a character's health lowers to the point that it starts flashing (around one fifth left), they will slow down to between half and three quarters of their normal speed, and will be unable to jump. CONTROLS --------------------------------------- MENU Controls ----------------------------- X1 - Move up X3 - Move down Start - Enter (when prompted) A - Accept B - Cancel GAME Controls ----------------------------- X1 - Move up X2 - Move right X3 - Move down X4 - Move left Start - Pause A - Punch (will sometimes push opponent) B - Jump A+B - Release Ultimate Muscle At team's corner = Towards same corner+A - Tag team mate Forward+Forward - Dodge (Moves away from the attack and behind the opponent) A - Push opponent (will sometimes punch) In the air; A - Airborne attack ABOUT ULTIMATE MUSCLE ----------------------------- Once Ultimate Muscle is released, the wrestler with have a white/purple flashing outline around their structure, signifying that Ultimate Muscle has been activated. Each wrestler has at least one special move that they can perform, and moves have different ways they can be performed. Further information for each character's Ultimate Muscle attacks will be covered in the character section, under each character's listings. =============================================================================== _______________ ===SAVE MENU=== --------------- Autosave - Toggles the autosave feature on/off. Autosave will save after every victorious match. Delete - Yes/No option inside - Use this to delete your save records. This will useful when you want to start over from the very beginning. =============================================================================== ________________ ===STORY MODE=== ---------------- You play as Mantaro, wrestling your way to Ultimate Muscle and the championship trophy, to claim your place as the new King of the Universe. Challenge #1: Wally Tusket This fight is quite easy, and is used to ease you into the game. Wally won't attack often, giving you plenty of time to work out tactics and how to perform moves. Work on your attacks from behind, aerial attacks, and finishing moves especially. Challenge #2: Terry "The Kid" Kenyon Like Wally, this is basically a training match, except this time, Terry attacks more often. The match against Terry is a good chance to practice your dodging (Tap forward twice), attacking from behind, and attacking off the ropes. Also, use a special move or two, and find out how powerful Mantaro's attacks are against characters. Challenge #3: Jaeger Jaeger is your first semi-serious opponent, so be careful. He keep your back away from him, as he will take any chance he gets to suplex you into the canvas. Jaeger's special attacks won't be used often at all, but it is advised that you still collect the Ultimate Muscle orbs, just for finishers and times you feel like using it out of boredom (which is highly unlikely). Challenge #4: Kevin Mask Kevin is the strongest opponent you've met, and he'll use a lot of frontal attacks. Use the "Dodge and Slam" tactic (Trick #2) and some aerial attacks. Use the ropes to your advantage, and push Kevin away if you need more time. Challenge #5: Buffaloman Buffaloman is a powerful character, with excellent endurance. Also, make sure you keep him away from gaining Ultimate Muscle orbs, as his attacks can be powerful. ----------------------------- Between Battles: Story This is yet to be fully translated. It tells of Generation X, and the attempts to make them the new Muscle League, protectors of Earth. If you have ever read/watched Kinnikuman Nisei (Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy), you will understand the story better than others. ----------------------------- Challenge #6: Blocken Jr. Blocken Jr. is an above average in most departments, and is definitely a powerful foe. Attack from the front a lot, including standard punches and aerial attacks (jumping hits and attacking from the ropes), since he usually either misses, or just won't attack. Challenge #7: Ninja (Ninja Ned) Watch out, Ninja's extremely fast. By all means, keep him away from any Ultimate Muscle orbs, because his attacks are too quick to manouver. Use the Dodge and Slam trick often, and jump around, to keep away from him attacking when you don't expect it, or when you're just not quick enough to attack him. Challenge #8: Ramenman Ramen Man jumps around a lot, and the best way to counter an aerial attack is to punch them when they're about to hit you. Doing this, followed by aerial attacks of your own will make this match a lot easier. Challenge #9: Warsman Warsman's power is much similar to Brocken Jr's, but he will use attacks more often, including aerial attacks. To win against Warsman, use plenty of aerial attacks. He will follow you around, so it will be a lot easier to target him with an aerial attack, in this case. As always, attack with a suplex whenever possible. Challenge #10: Robin Mask Surprisingly, he one will seem easy, if you're used to the controls. His strength is great and he will attack often, but aerial attacks, much like Ramen Man and Warsman, will easily help to bring him down. Use the Dodge and Slam trick often to take him down, and use Ultimate Muscle attacks if you can. Challenge #11: King Kinniku Suguru Being the King, he wouldn't want to give up his crown so easily, so naturally, he's going to fight for it. His Ultimate Muscle attacks are the most powerful, and he throws punches as soon as he gets the chance, so you will have to be on your toes. Aerial attacks are your best bet, and one he slows down, use some more fierce attacks (preferably your own Ultimate Muscle attacks). Also, be forewarned; he will use Ultimate Muscle as soon as he can at most times. Challenge #12: Eskara This will be a real challenge. Eskara's attacks have a mix of speed and power, meaning he will attack at the first chance he gets, has a powerful punch, and also moves away from attacks quicker than most characters. In this match, you will really need to rely on aerial attacks more than anything, as he can also turn around and attack when you try to use a Dodge and Slam (not always, but he does it a lot). Try not to corner yourself often, as Eskara will sometimes use an aerial attack, which is fairly fool-proof when he uses it. Watch his moves, and try to work out a counter for certain attacks. ----------------------------- After the Battle: Ending Story and New Entry The story is yet to be translated, and therefore, only an outline can be given. You've finished Story Mode! Mantaro has won the championship belt, the Muscle League are still the protectors of Earth, and you have earned everyone's respect as a wrestler. NEW ENTRY After you complete Story Mode, you will unlock Eskara as a playable character. =============================================================================== ______________ ===TAG MODE=== -------------- Tag mode consists of 10 matches, each with teams of two. Wrestlers partner up to become the next tag team champions, and must co-operate to achieve their goal. Criteria: Choose two wrestlers, fight through 10 matches. Prize: Tag Team Championship trophy and a New Entry. The New Entry character is determined by who you select as your first tag wrestler. More information on unlocking is in the character section. The matches will occur in different rings, in a certain order: Tournament, Ice, Electric, Construction Site, Championship. After the first five matches, the order will reset (restart at Tournament). When your team mate's back is facing the ring, you are unable to tag them. While this occurs, however, they will recover some health. =============================================================================== __________________ ===CLASSIC MODE=== ------------------ To unlock Classic Mode, you must first unlock every character. Classic Mode is the original Kinnikuman game for NES. It features many of the characters from the original series (none that began in Kinnikuman Nisei, such as Mantaro, Terry and Checkmate), and plays much like Kinnikuman Nisei: Dream Tag Match (since this game is a Nisei port of the NES classic). =============================================================================== _____________________________ ===GENERAL TIPS AND TRICKS=== ----------------------------- Tip #1 - Using Ultimate Muscle - 1 bar = one fifth damage - 2 bars = half damage - 3 bars = three quarters damage Try and collect all the orbs that Alexandria Meat throws into the ring. It's safer to prevent your opponent getting any of them, and helps you regain health. Tip #2 - Reserve Airborne Attacks Use airborne attacks only when you need to, as every three missed attack causes slight damage to your own health when you land on the canvas. Tip #3 - Evasion When trapped, bounce off the ropes. You'll either hit your opponent, or escape their next attack (problem being in tip #2). Also, using the dodge will help a lot, and can sometimes give the advantage you need to win a game (especially with a lot of finishing attacks). Trick #1 - Air Combo Chain This attack is very useful to get an opponent's health down, if they are considered hard to attack. Stand at one end of the ring, facing the oppoennt. As they come close, quickly jump and attack in the air. After half a second, repeat this, and continue to repeat until you are on the opposite end of the ring. This can sometimes be continued while they are against the ropes, but it is also easy for them to break free of the combo at this point. Trick #2 - Dodge and Slam This is useful in both evasion attacks, and when you need to get desparate. When the opponent is close, tap forward twice to dodge the opponent and get behind them, and proceed to press A, to suplex them. This may seem like something blatantly obvious, but when in need, it can be easily forgotten. =============================================================================== _________________________ ===CHARACTERS AND TIPS=== ------------------------- MANTARO KINNIKU ----------------------------- Biography: Mantaro "Kid" Kinniku is heir to the throne of Planet Kinniku. His teenage life was simple, until he discovered that he also inherited the power of Ultimate Muscle, and the wrestling legacy that his father, King Muscle, once held. Mantaro is rather unwilling to take his father's wrestling throne at first, but after meeting the love of his life, Roxanne - a teenage woman who is not quite as keen on Mantaro as he is on her - he decided to put his dukes up and fight through the fray, with the rest of the Muscle League behind him. Unfortunately for him, the DMP - an evil wrestling league that was around during the times of King Muscle's championship title - has returned, and they want to take control of the Universe. Again. Pros: Kid is an excellent all-round character for beginners. If you are new to the game, Kid is the character for you. Cons: It may take a few tries to defeat some of the more advanced characters in Story Mode. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Kinniku Buster - Frontal attack Mantaro jumps in the air with the opponent over his shoulders, and then lands with his opponent in a locked position, unable to escape. 2 bars: Kinniku Driver - Attack from behind Mantaro grapples his opponent from behind and lauches into the air, landing in the same position as the regular Kinniku Buster, except with the opponent facing the opposite side. 3 bars: Muscle Milennium - Attack from behind Mantaro throws his opponent in the air, and proceeds to bounce off the ropes behind him. As the opponent comes falling down, Mantaro is bounced from the ropes, into the opponent's back, and forces his opponent into the opposite ropes, causing immense pain, as the ropes drive into their body. TERRY "THE KID" KENYON ----------------------------- Biography: Son of Terry Man, Terry "The Kid" ('The Grand' in the dub version of the series) Kenyon wanted to prove himself as a great wrestler by deeating Mantaro. His main goal was to acheive greatness like his father and avenge his father for Kinniku Suguru's (King Muscle) actions, he soon realised his faults and the true friendship that was valued between Terry Man and King Muscle. Pros: Being a lightweight wrestler, Terry is somewhat agile. This makes it easy for him to get away from attacks, and counter in return. Cons: Being lighter than some, he is easier to damage. When using him, be careful of strong characters; always keep in front of them, and don't turn your back. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Toe Hold - Frontal attack Terry drops his opponent to the ground, and locks their legs in a devastating attack. 2 bars: Calf Branding - Attack from behind Terry jumps onto his opponent's back, with his knee in thier shoulders, driving their face into the mat underneath. 3 bars: Texas Clover Hold - Attack from behind Terry drops his opponent to the ground, and locks their legs into a hold, and pulling back twice, causing the opponent to fall. KEVIN MASK ----------------------------- Biography: Son of the famed Robin Mask, Kevin Mask joined the DMP as a teenager in spite of his father, and trained to be the greatest. When he realised that he had no true loyalty or honour from his past, he decided to change his ways. He refused to join the Muscle League, and is now on his own, as a self-made wrestler. Pros: A strong character, with excellent moves when performed at key times. Cons: A little slower than average, just like the other big characters. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Tower Bridge - Against ropes, attacking from behind Kevin will grab his opponent and force him against the ropes, and then resume to push harder, in an attempt to crush the bones between him and the ropes. 2 bars: Schmitt Back Breaker - Attack from behind Kevin raises his opponent's body over his head, and breaks their back over his shoulders. 3 bars: Big Ben Bash - Attack from behind Kevin will grapple his opponent, and jump into the air. From there, he climbs on top of his opponent, grappling their legs, and driving their face into the mat. JAEGER ----------------------------- Biography: Being ranked first in the Hercules Factory for Generation X (the league meant to take place of the Muscle League), and coached by Brocken Jr, Jaeger is a powerful wrestler with his mind on one thing; victory. Pros: Quite agile, and very versatile once you understand the strength of his attacks. Cons: Slightly low endurance rate makes him easier to defeat. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Red Rain of Baron - Frontal attack/attack from behind Jaeger uses the skull medallion in his fist to punch with a mighty flame. 2 bars: Beefcake Hammer - Attack from behind Jaeger grabs his opponent, and performs an aerial German suplex by jumping in the air and flipping him and his opponent over, so they are upside down. 3 bars: Red Rain of Baron 2 - Frontal attack/attack from behind Jaeger uses the skull medallion, once again, to punch with a mighty flame, only this time, the flame reaches halfway across the ring and has more power. CHECKMATE ----------------------------- Biography: Immune to pain, this is Sunshine's greatest understudy. He was trained by Sunshine to "feel the burn and burn the feeling", therefore he began to grow immense power, and was unable to feel any pain that was inflicted on his body. Not being able to feel pain can cause problems, though, as he was soon to find out in a battle against Mantaro. Pros: Very good endurace. This helps a lot against the stronger characters (Kinniku Suguru, etc). Cons: Having a wide body and a slow movement rate will make him easier to attack (a larger target). Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Knight Kick - Frontal attack Checkmate transforms into the horse piece, and kicks his opponent into the ropes. 2 bars: Castle Crush - Attack from behind Checkmate throws his opponent into the air, and then jumps above him. As the opponent starts falling, Checkmate then turns into the Rook piece and crushes his opponent beneath him on impact, using both halves to fall at separate times. 3 bars: Grand Slam - Attack from behind Checkmate throws his opponent into the air again, jumps above him, and as the opponent falls, Checkmate transforms into a mix of the King, Rook and Knight, to land on him in a devastating amount of force. WALLY TUSKET ----------------------------- Biography: Hailing from Ireland, this wrestler, ranked second in the Hercules Factory for Muscle League, Wally uses his girth as an advantage in battle. He is a gentle giant, but when rilled, and with a bit of persistance and incentive, he can fight until he unable to move. Pros: Wally, like Mantaro, is a great character to use for beginners. His large weight gives him the advantage when losing damage, as he has a higher endurance rate than most. Cons: He is slightly slower than most characters. Be alert when against a fast character. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: S.T.F. - Attack from behind Wally brings the opponent to the ground, and locks their legs into a tight and painful attack. 2 bars: Tombstone Piledriver - Frontal attack A basic piledriver; Wally grabs his opponent, jumps a low height in the air, and lands with the opponent's head driving into the mat. 3 bars: - Frontal attack/attack from behind Wally slaps the opponent with a fish, sending them into the ropes. ESKARA ----------------------------- Biography: Disguised, this DMP member enrolled into the Hercules Factory to join Generation X. Ranking second, he fought his way through the brawn, until he revealed his true past, and true face. His technique is to not make his own finishing moves, but to perfect those of other wrestlers, and making them completely fail-proof. Pros: Very strong, and good endurance. If used correctly, he is one of the most versatile characters in the game. Cons: His speed is slightly slower than average, making it difficult to perform some attacks. How to Unlock: Beat Story Mode for the first time with Mantaro (Kid) Muscle. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Buffalo Branding - Attack from behind Eskara jumps on his opponent from behind, driving his knee into their back, and their face into the ground. It is a perfected version of Terry's attack. 2 bars: Spin Elbow Jab - Attack from anywhere Eskara dashes forward and spins, using the spines on the back of his mask as a whip. 3 bars: Ultimate Scar Buster - Frontal attack Eskara jumps with the opponent high into the air, spins the opponent upside-down, with his head between Eskara's legs, while Eskara holds his legs in an arm lock and drives into the ground. A perfect version of King Muscle's attack KING KINNIKU SUGURU ----------------------------- Biography: Father of Mantaro Kinniku, and King of Planet Kinniku, the home of all Kinnikumen (Musclemen). As a baby, he was mistaken for a pig in his father's ship, and thrown out to Earth. He lived there by himself, until his family located him and sent Alexandria Meat to retreive him. After disgracing his royal ancestors, he was sent back to Earth with Meat to train. He was a loser both in and out the ring, until he beat a person dressed as Pandaman (the strongest wrestler at the time), which gave him confidence, as he thought it was the real Pandaman he had just defeated. After that, he fought his way to victory, and the crown of Planet Kinniku. Pros: The Suguru used is from the original Kinnikuman (M.U.S.C.L.E.) series, which means he has great power. His suplexes are awesome. Cons: His aerial attacks are average, if not less. How to Unlock: Beat Tag Mode for the with Mantaro (Kid) Muscle as the first chosen wrestler. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Kinniku Driver - Frontal attack Exactly like Mantaro's Kinniku Driver. Suguru jumps in the air with the opponent over his shoulders, and thenlands with his opponent in a locked position, unable to escape. 2 bars: Kinniku Driver - Frontal attack Suguru jumps with his opponent into the air, and arranges his opponent upside-down, and under his feet, so Suguru is now holding the opponent's feet with his hands, and pushing on their arms with his feet. 3 bars: Kinniku Spark - Attack from behind Suguru grapples his opponent, and launches them both in the air. Suguru then turns his back to his opponent, and turns them, face-down towards the canvas. He grabs their arms and locks their legs with his, and drives them into the ground below. BUFFALOMAN ----------------------------- Biography: Was once the leader of the "Seven Devils", who kidnapped Meat and challenged Kinniku Suguru to a fight. Although Buffaloman was evil towards Suguru and Meat (Meat especially), Suguru spared him in the fight, causing Buffaloman to have a change of heart. He now works at the Muscle Factory. Pros: Built like a buffalo, and therefore has good endurance and strength. Excellent special attacks gives him additional strength in tough battles. Cons: Slightly sluggish. How to Unlock: Beat Tag Mode for the with Terry as the first chosen wrestler. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Short Longhorn - Press B (Jump) Buffaloman charges at his opponent, and hits them with his horns, sending them into the air. 2 bars: Hurricane Mixer - Frontal attack Buffaloman grabs his opponent and jumps high into the air, spinning upside-down in the process, and driving his opponent's head into the canvas. 3 bars: Longhorn - Press B (Jump) Buffaloman charges at his opponent, attacking with his horns, launching them high into the air. After Bufallo Man reaches the opposite side of the ring, he charges back, and hits his opponent with his hornsm, as they fall from the sky. After reaching the other side of the ring, he charges one last time, to send his opponent in the air briefly and land painfully on their back. ROBIN MASK ----------------------------- Biography: Robin Mask first faced Kinniku Suguru in the First Chiyoujin Olympics, and when he lost, he demanded a rematch one year later, on a floating ring over the Grand Canyon (an electrified ring in this game). After losing two more times, he decided to befriend Suguru and became a trainer at the Muscle Factory. Pros: Fast special attacks, decent speed. Cons: Can be caught off-guard with certain attacks, has weak suplexes. How to Unlock: Beat Tag Mode for the with Robin Mask as the first chosen wrestler. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: - Frontal attack/attack from behind Robin leans forward and shoots a large, fast fireball, which will reach the other side of the ring. 2 bars: - Attack from behind Much like Kevin Mask's Schmitt Back Breaker, Robin lifts his opponent over his shoulders, and crushes their back, using his shoulders, twice. 3 bars: - Attack from behind Robin grapples his opponent and sends both of them in the air. He then locks their body between his legs, and lands in a handstand, crushing their back from the impact. BLOCKEN JR. ----------------------------- Biography: Blocken Jr. saw his father, Brockenman, die in the ring; torn in half by Ramenman's Camel Clutch attack. He trained for one year, to get his revenge on Ramenman. In that year, he was undefeated, and fought Ramenman in the second round of the Second Chiyoujin Olympics. Ramenman beat Blocken Jr, and told him to forget the past and live his own life. As he saw Ramenman train in poor condition, he grew concerned, and helped him train. He then became one of Suguru's allies. After years of fighting, he settled down in Germany, his home country, where he met the young Jaeger, determined to become the strongest wrestler alive. Blocken Jr. then became Jaeger's coach. Pros: Easy to use special attacks, can attack rather quickly. Cons: His punches are mediocre, and his suplexes are weak. How to Unlock: Beat Tag Mode for the with Jaeger as the first chosen wrestler. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: - Frontal attack Blocken Jr. does a handstand on his opponents head, and then drops into a kick in their face, sending them into the ropes behind. 2 bars: Red Rain of Baron - Frontal attack/attack from behind Blocken Jr. unleashes a streak of fire, burning the opponent. Can be used from a short distance. 3 bars: - Frontal attack Jr. grapples his opponent and jumps into the air. He then turns both himself and his opponent upside-down, and drives their head into the canvas below. RAMENMAN ----------------------------- Biography: This great Chiyoujin from China was defeated by Warsman in the second Chiyoujin Olympics, being stabbed in the head. He was then carried away to the mountains, where Dr. Bombay fixed him. There was a special mist in those mountains, which revived him, but if he were to leave the mountains, he would be unable to breathe that mist, and would go braindead. Dr. Bombay designed a headband for Ramenman to wear, so he was able to fight normally, in any environment. He secretly went to Planet Kinniku, to train Mantaro before the second coming of the Akuma Chiyoujin. Pros: A fast mover, and good with aerial attacks. Has a special move for every comfort zone. Cons: Weak against suplexes, and loses damage easier when he misses aerial attacks. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Camel Clutch - Frontal attack/attack from behind Ramenman lunges at his opponent, and spins them around onto their stomach, and then pulls back on their body. 2 bars: Leg Lariat - Aerial attack (During a jump, press A) Ramenman performs a flying kick, able to reach across half of the ring. If the attack connects with Ramenman's opponent, the opponent is sent into the ropes. 3 bars: Great Wall Drop - Attack from behind Ramenman launches both himself and his opponent into the air. He then flips his opponent upside-down and into a cross-shape position, holding their legs, and driving them into the canvas. THE NINJA ----------------------------- Biography: Once one of the Akuma Knights, this Chiyoujin used ninja techniques and could disguise himself to be anybody he wished. After death, he gave his scarf to Mantaro (he was known as Ninja Ned in English dubs), and guided him through the fight against Hanzou (Mantaro's second Ultimate Muscle test). Pros: Fast and has a good use for his special attacks. Cons: Vunerable when using his second special attack, and has weak punches. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: - Aerial attack (During a jump, press A) The Ninja flips in the air, stomping with one foot on his opponent's head. 2 bars: - Frontal attack/attack from behind Ninja stretches his arm, and releases a large flame wall for a whole second. 3 bars: - Press A when opponent attacks When Ninja's opponent attacks, the screen flashes white. During that time, Ninja switches places with his opponent, so they are standing where he was, and Ninja is using the exact attack they attempted to use on him. WARSMAN ----------------------------- Biography: This Robotic Chiyoujin from Russia was picked on as a child, and decided to turn to wrestling as a way to fight back. He killed Pentagon, Teapack Man, and also caused Ramenman to go braindead. In a fight against Kinniku Suguru, he was told he didn't need to kill and destroy, and was convinced to fight fairly until the end of the match. He lost 30 minutes after, as his computer turned itself off. He continually died, but would come back, and turned Robin Mask good for the rest of his life. Pros: Strong attacks, easy to use. Cons: His special attack time wears off quickly. Ultimate Muscle Attacks: 1 bar: Bear Claw - Press B Warsman dashes through mid-air at his opponent, with claws extended. 2 bars: Paro Special - Attack from behind Warsman clings onto his opponent's back, and then stretches their arms and pushes his knees into their back, forcing their body to stretch. 3 bars: ? - ? No information of this move has been discovered. It is unsure if Warsman even has a third special attack, although it is presumed to be the infamous Screwdriver. 2 more characters to come... eventually. More research is needed before this section can be completed. =============================================================================== ___________________________ ===ABOUT WRESTLING RINGS=== --------------------------- This section will delve into the different types of rings there are in Kinnikuman Nisei: Dream Tag Match. There are 5 different types; Tournament, Construction Site, Ice, Electric, and Championship. TOURNAMENT ----------------------------- This is the main ring; the one you'll be playing most your matches in. It is a standard wrestling ring, with no special attributes. Attributes: None. Scenery: People cheering in the stadium. CONSTRUCTION SITE ----------------------------- A ring made of stone, built on top of a scyscraper construction site. The drop is huge, so be careful where you step. Be careful; one suplex in this ring can cause your health to go past low (flashing). Attributes: Being made of stone, attacks that drive you into the ground will cause additional damage, as well as landing from a missed airborne attack (instead of every 3 missed attacks, it is after every missed attack). Scenery: Sky and metal construction struts. ICE ----------------------------- Made from a large block of ice, this ring is located in the ocean, and is very cold. Attributes: Wrestlers will slide around the ice, due to it being made of ice. This makes it more difficult to attack and be in a certain place when need be. Scenery: Cold water and icebergs. ELECTRIC ----------------------------- Built as a tall tower, this ring has electrified ropes, making it harder to move around on the screen. Attributes: Electricity runs through every rope, so wrestlers are unable to touch them, or they will be electrocuted. Being electrocuted will cause you to lose health at a steady rate, so if electrocuted, press A and B rapidly to escape quicker. Scenery: The face of a canyon. CHAMPIONSHIP ----------------------------- A large stadium, full of bright colours and lights. This ring is only used for special events and wrestlers. This is only for the greatest wrestlers, and will test your power and skills. Attributes: In a lot of instances, Alexandria Meat will throw in multiple orbs at the same time. Scenery: Much like Tournament's scenery, with a different colour scheme. =============================================================================== ________________________________ ===FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS=== -------------------------------- Q: Where can I get this game? A: Unfortunately, if you are outside Japan, the only way to get this is through eBay, online purchase, or importing (if available). Q: Why is this a strategy guide and not a walkthrough? This shows how to defeat opponents! A: These are only tactics I have designed to make it easier to beat certain opponents. There is no definitive way to defeat each one, and you can play the game however you want. These are merely strategies. Q: Help! I just lost against an opponent! What am I going to do? A: Don't worry, the game saves your progress after each match, so if you lose, you can just start from the match you lost. =============================================================================== _____________________________ ===LEGAL NOTES AND CLOSING=== ----------------------------- Copyright 2004 Ryan "Bass0r" Steele.
