You raise your Digimon for battle, feed them and train them. How you raise your Digimon will determine whether it will Digivolve through all the stages. The game is relatively simple once you get the hang of it, but in the beginning it can be quite fustrating if you don't get it. That's why I made the walkthrough! I hope this will help those of you struggling through the game. Believe me, it wasn't a picnic for me either. 2.Basic Controls ---------------- A Button: Select; in Battle, to strenthen Digimon's attack/ weaken opponent's attack power B Button: Cancel X1 Button: Move up/foreward X2 Button: Move Right; in Battle, to switch up Digimon X3 Button: Move down/back; Escape battle X4 Button: Move Left; in Battle, to switch up Digimon Y1 Button: Enter the main menu Y2 Button: Scold (used only when Digimon is wandering) Y3 Button: Release/Call back Digimon Y4 Button: Pet (used only when Digimon is wandering) Start: Toggles time speed (slow, normal and fast) Main Menu: Item: Your inventory. Everything you carry is here--meat, medicine, eggs, etc. Digimon: Shows your Digimon's status. Pressing the A button will show further information, and pressing X2 will show you more. Call Back: Can only be used outside. This calls back all your Digimon, wherever they may be, to you within seconds. No matter where they are, they will scoot right back when you do this. A handy command, and of course you can't use it if all your Digimon are following you. Saves the trouble of running up to the Digimon individually and hitting Y3. Map: Shows all the areas you've uncovered. Also shows your location and the locations of your Digimon (which always turn up as Botamon. Funny.) What the Digimon might need shows up as a speech bubble with a symbol in it. more on symbols in Raising Your Digimon. Save: Saves the game. Duh. 3.Game Flow ----------- The start of the game is a bit of a drag if you don't understand Japanese, but basically, your character gets sent to the Digital World to save it. You'll be led through the first few steps, such as getting your partner, creating food, and battling. Once you step outside the house, a fresh Digimon will challange you to a fight, but if you follow the directions (press the A button repeatedly) you'll win without too much trouble. The Digimon reverts into a greyish-blue Koromon after you beat him. There won't be much in the first map screen--just the Koromon, who dispenses information-- another Fresh level Digimon who you can fight to train--a punchbag to the right of the house, the house itself and a Demidevimon at the edge of a field of numbers. Your house is your base. You'll be returning there often to stock up on meat and medicine, replace a fallen party member, and much more. In the beginning of the game, you'll only have one partner, a Botamon. After you defeat the first boss (the Demidevimon), you'll be able to get your second. To get your third, you have to defeat Devidramon, the fourth boss. It's always advisable to stock up on meat (nine is the maximum number of anything you can carry) and carry some medicine wherever you go--your partners will get hungry and if they get beaten up in a fight, they'll need the medicine! Pressing the A button in front of the meat machine (the machine nearest to your desk) will bring up two options. The top one is meat; the bottom is medicine. Selecting meat will bring you to a screen similar to the one you created the egg with. Enter in four numbers and a meat pops up. What code you enter determines what meat you get. Later in the game, you'll also have access to the Digimon Dictionary and the computer. The Digimon Dictionary is exactly that, and you get to see what types of Digimon you've raised and their Digivolution patterns in Virus, Data or Vaccine. The computer saves your information for link battles. To the right of the house is a punchbag for training your Digimon. You'll find one in every area you go to, and all of them are the same. Training your Digimon on the punchbag, or on an enemy Digimon, is essential if you want to raise a strong mon. Some Digimon's power will increase with training--others stay the same, but generally I've found out that if you have more than one Digimon, it affects the damage you can give out in battle. To the left, there is a Digimon similar to the one you fought in the first battle. He'll challange you every time you talk to him, so be careful if your Digimon isn't ready. He's not much of a challange, but it's generally smarter if you did so when your Digimon has already Digivolved once. At the very top of the area screen waits a Demidevimon, the boss. Once you beat him, the numbers will dissapear and you will be able to proceed to the next area as well as obtain the second Digimon to your team. This is the basic flow of the game: fight the area Digimon, raise your team, beat the boss and proceed to the next level. Just how to do this will be covered in the next parts of the walkthrough. 4. Meat/Digiegg Codes --------------------- You may be wondering which codes will give out which meat. Good question, since meat in this game will satisfy your Digimon's hunger, make it stronger and recover lost hit points. Best of all, it's free! Below is a short list I've compiled of the various meats I've found, their effects and code. Sasori niku (Scorpion meat): Restores half of max. HP, may satisfy hunger or strength but sometimes neither. Also lowers Digimon's happiness. Digimon may get sick. Code 1111. Tenbin niku (Balanced meat): Restores half of max. HP. Satisfies hunger, increases happiness. Code 1011. Ibu niku (Pleasing meat): Restores quarter of max. HP, satisfies hunger. Code 0880. Oto niku (Noisy meat?!): Restores quarter of max. HP, satisfies hunger. Code 4685. Thanks to Slash, we now have codes to determine what Digimon you'll get from a Digiegg! The first two digits determine the egg, the third determines attribute (virus, data or vaccine). The last four determine HP, power, defence and speed of the Digimon. I haven't been able to decipher those codes yet, but at least we have the first two. More next update. NOTE: This list names the Rookie, Champion or Ultimate Digimon you get from the Fresh Digimon that comes out of the egg, not the hatched Digimon itself. Sorry! 1-, 20: Agumon 21, 22, 23, 24, 25: Sairyuu 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31: Angemon 0-: Gabumon 8-, 90: Renamon 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37: Angewomon 38, 39, 40, 41, 43: Wormmon 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 41, 52: Guilmon 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59: V-mon 60, 61, 62, 63, 64: Shinryura 65, 66, 67, 68, 69: Maou 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75: Terriermon 76, 77, 78, 79: Water 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99: Devil NOTE: Each family of Digimon has a special technique that is unique to its type and used by all its Digivolution levels (except Fresh). Below is a list of the special effects of the abilities, listed by the Rookie level: Agumon line: Attack with large red fireballs. Gabumon line: Attack with large blue fireballs. Patamon line: Healing technique--recovers HP of all team Digimon. Salamon line: Technique protects status from changes. Veemon line: Attacks with a charge. Wormmon line: Attacks by walking up to the opponent and then slicing across. Impmon line: Attacks with a black fireball. May cause opponent to be unable to use its special technique. Syakomon line: Attacks with supersonic waves. May cause opponents to attack themselves in confusion. Renamon line: Changes into any of the Digimon in the battlefield and attacks with *their* special attack. Pretty useful, expecially against a tough opponent. Terriermon line: Multiple-enemy attack--hits all opponents. Starts getting really cool as Terriermon goes up the Digivolution levels. (I'm just a fan of the ol' bunny pup---Momentai!) Guilmon line: Attacks with what looks like a jarring, jackhammer-like hit. Elecmon Line: Attacks with multiple swirling lightballs that home in on the enemy, then detonate. Demidevimon Line: Steals HP from the opponent then splits it amongst the team. Holy Mega Four (Special): Attack of white...something spreads across the screen and hits the Digimon. Almost always causes paralysis. DNA-Digimon: Omnimon: Hits one enemy. Imperaldramon Paladin Mode: Hits all enemies. Gallantmon Crimson Mode: A lot of people say his attack hits only one Digimon, but I've tried it myself many times and it seems to be a multiple-hit attack. Magnadramon: Heals around 240 HP, protects from stats changes. Beelzebumon Blast Mode: Hits one enemy, at random (you don't see who gets hit until it's too late) You may be wondering how to get a spirit Digimon. Well, here are the codes! You get the Spirits from the meat machine (weird!) and you can only use them on the Rookie or Champion Digimon listed with them: Agnimon(Agunimon): 5113---Agumon line Wolfmon(Lobomon): 5791----Gabumon line Chakmon(Kumamon): 4501----Patamon line Fairymon(Kazemon): 4853---Salamon line Blitzmon(Beetlemon): 4649-Wormmon line 5.Raising Your Digimon ---------------------- Probably the most important and confusing part of the game, raising your Digimon. Seems simple enough, but actually it's quite tricky. The basics-- feeding, training--are simple enough. However, getting your Digimon to Digivolve into the right Digimon you need can be difficult. Your Digimon should go through four stages--Fresh, In-Training, Rookie and Champion. The next two--Ultimate and Mega--are "battle" stages, which means your Digimon can only turn into them in battle. The most basic step to understanding your Digimon is understanding its status charts. When you choose "Digimon" in the Menu, the first thing you'll see is your first Digimon's Family, Species, Status, Hunger and Strength, as well as it's picture. Pressing X1 or X3 will scroll through your other Digimon at any time. Pressing the A Button will bring up the next chart, translated for your reading pleasure! Class: Shows Digimon's Level (Fresh, In-Training, Rookie or Champion) Pow: Your Digimon's Power. Def: Your Digimon's Defense. Spd: Your Digimon's Speed. Finishing Attack: Name of the Digimon's Special Attack (e.g. Pepper Breath) Attribute: Virus, Data, or Vaccine. Happiness: Your Digimon's happy percentage. Too low and he may get sick and die without much warning; over 60%, a diolouge box with dots in it appears over his head a few days before his life span ends (yes, Digimon are not immortal in this game). Earlier, I thought this was a health meter because it seemed to function like one. This percentage seems to have an influence on the type of Ultimate or Mega your Digimon Digivolves into as well. Battle History: Number of battles (this includes punchbag fights) Digimon has fought. Calculated by individual opponents (so a boss battle against three would count as three individual battles.) Poop Meter: Number of times your Digimon has pooped. (He won't unless he strays away from you). Spirit: In Digimon Frontier, there are special Digimon spirits. Whether or not your Digimon has it determines if he can turn into one of the Ancient Warriors. Pressing X2 at this chart will bring you to another chart--the Digivolution factors. At first, they'll only be one shown and a lot of dotted lines, but as you discover new areas the list will fill up. This chart determines what Digimon he'll turn into next. The list is as follows: Plains Seaside Forest Shrine Sanctuary Snowfield Mystery Lava Pool Dragon's Nest Cliffs Start Dimension This is how it works: To Digivolve your Digimon into, say, Stingmon, you'll have to train at the Forest (second map with the Minomon). Then, release him in the area. Let him wander around there (never mind the poo--if you click it it will go away) and call him back only to train or feed. Sooner or later a number will replace the zero next to the "forest" value. This means he'll Digivolve into the Forest Digimon--the Wormmon family. Other values might mess up the process, but generally he'll Digivolve into the family native to the area of the highest value. It doesn't matter what Digimon he was before-- this is what determines his Digivolution normally. If you're lazy you could always use Digitamas. Every once and a while, a little dialogue box may pop up on top of your Digimon's head(or in the status bar in its stats) Here's what they mean: Song note:(Only seen in map and status menu) Your Digimon is fine. Relax! Annoyed mark:(looks like a broken plus sign) Digimon's happiness is too low. feed him Balanced meats and pet him repeatedly to make him happy again! Exclaimation mark: Digimon is going to Digivolve. Press Y3 to disband him and trigger Digivolution. After he Digivolves, press Y3 again quickly to call him back. Envolope: Digimon needs to take a break. Disband him and the sign will dissapear. You can call him back at any time. Meat: Digimon is hungry. This sign doesn't always pop up when he's hungry, so you'll have to check his hunger meter to see if it's empty once and a while. Feed the Digimon meat. Sometimes more than one is needed. X-Bandage: Digimon is hurt. Give him medicine. If you don't, he may sicken and die within hours. Pill: Digimon is sick. Give him medicine. A sick Digimon dies faster than an injured one when left unattended, sometimes within seconds. Poop:(Only appears in status menu) Digimon has poo in the field. Find it and clean it up by pressing the A Button in front of it. Zz's: Digimon is asleep. (Only happens if he was wandering around in a field.) You can wake him up by going up to him and talking to him. He will still come when you use the Call Back command. A Digimon has an average lifespan of around fifteen days (I haven't really been counting.) Towards the end of that, they'll seem to get sick really easily or without a reason, or just suddenly drop dead while you're just walking. It happened to me quite a few times. Generally, your Digimon's lifespan will be longer if its happiness meter is higher, and get sick and die sooner if it is low (which is what lead me into thinking that it was a health meter). Whatever the cause, your Digimon will one day die and leave behind a tombstone. Clicking on it makes it go away, and if your Digimon was Champion level, it will leave behind a Digitama for you. You can use this Digitama like a Digivolution item--whatever family your previous Digimon was hatched into will be the line of Digivolution. Here's an example: Say you have a Stingmon that was a Poyomon at birth. When he dies, he'll leave a Poyomon Digitama. Poyomon's Digivolution line goes like this--Poyomon, Tokomon, Patamon, Angemon, etc. So if you use the Digitama on any Fresh-level Digimon, it'll turn into Tokomon, the next stage up. If you used it on Impmon, a Rookie-level, he'll turn into Angemon! However, you can't use a Digitama on a Champion-level to make an Ultimate or Mega. That's not how it works. So how do you get Ultimates or Megas? Well, the general trend is for your Champion to have fought a lot of battles (punchbag ones count too.) A battle history of 20-30+ is the average number needed, though some Digimon still won't Digivolve. The second thing taken into consideration is number of consecutive losses (losses in a row). Some Digimon will only Digivolve if they've lost a series of fights (running away doesn't count.) For example, my Dolphmon only Digivolved to MegaSeadramon after loosing twice and being revived to full HP. The next time he lost again, he turned into MarineAngemon, and the time after that he turned into MetalSeadramon. Other Digimon that Digivolve this way include Gatomon and possibly Stingmon. So getting whipped in a boss battle and continuing the game may not be as bad as it seems to be after all--your Digimon may Digivolve in the rematch and turn the tables on the boss! The third thing is that your Digimon's hunger and strength meters must be completely full. If either of them is quite empty, your Digimon won't Digivolve at all. JK_Blunt gave me some handy information on levelling up statistics. It's only been proven for JK's Exeveemon and Stingmon, but it does work...oh, and I've experimented and found out you can Digivolve all the way up to Champion without taking into consideration the happiness percentage, but getting past that form needs at least 55-60%; also, your Digimon will automatically Digivolve to its next level up to Champion with or without battle points, but it won't be as strong... Fresh > In-Training: 5 battle points and 55% happiness. Fresh > Rookie: 10 battle points, 60% Fresh > Champion: 20 battle points, 62% In-Training > Rookie: 10 battle points, 60% In-Training > Champion: 30 battle points, 62% Rookie > Champion: 20 battle points, 62% Champion > Ultimate 1: 30 battle points, 70% Champion > Ultimate 2: 50 battle points, 70% Champion > Mega 1: 70 battle points, 75% Champion > Mega 2: 90 battle points, 82% Extra Tip: Depending on the Digimon leading your team in battle, your Digimon's stats will alter. Strategically, then, you can arrange your team in such a way it boosts your potential! Agumon line: +Pow Gabumon line: +Def Salamon line: +Spd Elecmon line: +HP, Def Patamon line: +Pow, Def Veemon line: +HP Wormmon line: +Spd Impmon line: +Pow; -HP Demidevimon line: +Pow, Def, Spd; -HP Renamon line: +Spd, Def Terriermon line: +Pow Guilmon line: +HP, Pow Holy Mega Four:+HP; -Pow, Spd Syakomon line: +HP, Pow, Def, Spd 6.Boss Tips/List ---------------- Here is the section dealing with the various bosses in the game, as well as some helpful hints in beating them. The first boss, Demidevimon, is easy enough. However, you may find that while fighting the next boss, your Digimon only does one damage to him, no matter what you do! Why is that? Well, each boss is actually a certian area Digimon and has one underlining (the only other Digimon you can fight in the area that turns into something else after you beat it.) This Digimon is the key to figuring out which Digimon you'll have to raise in order to beat the boss! For example, When you first venture into the area behind the defeated Demidevimon (he turns into a black Agumon after you've beat him), you'll be confronted by a strange, grey blob. This is Maoumon, and after you beat him, he turns into Minomon. Now this gives you a clue as to what Digimon you need to raise in order to beat Impmon--a Wormmon or a Stingmon! So, using the method described in "Raising Your Digimon", raise your Digimon into one of those two and confront Impmon. Now Impmon receives normal damage like every other Digimon! Below, I've compiled a list of all the bosses in the game I've encountered so far (and I've finished all the areas, so this is a pretty extensive list.) I also list what other things may happen after you beat them, and their respective underlinings. Area 1: Plains Underlining: Zurumon (Koromon) Boss: Demidevimon (Agumon) Special Event: Able to get second partner. Area 2: Forest Underlining: Maoumon (Minomon) Boss: Impmon (Wormmon) Special Event: First sighting of Bokomon and Neemon Area 3: Sanctuary Underlining: Demidevimon (Tokomon) Boss: Devimon (Patamon)* Special Event: None Area 4: Mystery Underlining: Demimeramon (Nyaromon) Boss: Mummymon (Elecmon) Special Event: None Area 5: Dragon's Nest Undelining: Impmon (Demiveemon) Boss: Devidramon (Veemon) Special Event: Able to get third partner Area 6: Start Underlining: Devidramon (Nyaromon) Boss: Myotismon (Salamon)* Special Event: Bokomon and Neemon appear; Able to use Digi-dictionary and Digimon computer. Aera 7: Seaside Underlining: Impmon (Bukamon) Boss: Arukenimon (Syakomon) Special Event: None Area 8: Shrine Underlining: Demidevimon (Pokomon) Boss: LadyDevimon (Renamon)* Special Event: None Area 9: Snowfield Underlining: Devimon (Tsunomon) Boss: Apokarimon (Gabumon) Special Event: Able to save fourth Digimon on computer Area 10: Lava pool Underlining: Devidramon (Gigimon) Boss: BlackWarGreymon (Guilmon) Special Event: None Area 11: Cliffs Underlining: Devimon (Gummimon) Boss: Venomyotismon (Terriermon) Special Event: None Area 12: Dimension Underling: Devimon (Pagumon) Boss: Zuchiaomon (Demimeramon)** Special Event: 000 000 code becomes valid** *WARNING! Beating these Digimon will reveal one out of three Holy Megas-- Azulongmon, Zuchiaomon, or Baihumon. You'll have to defeat them as well before you can advance to the next level, and if you don't, you'll have to start from the boss again. Thankfully, they fight alone (so you only have to deal with one opponent) and your Digimon automatically heal themselves before the battle starts, but they can still be quite hard to beat! Xuanwumon can be found in Area 12, and is actually a fake boss (He turns into Demimeramon). **WARNING! Xuanwumon doesn't seem to be affected by the area Digimon strategy. I've found out why--you need to fight him with Ultimates (Champions don't make a significant dent.) Which means theoretically you need a Myotismon instead of a Devimon. However, I've defeated him using a black WarGrowlmon, MetalSeadramon, and Gargomon. Don't worry if your attacks don't faze him--with an Ultimate like black Wargrowlmon, Xuanwumon's attacks do little damage. After you beat Xuanwumon, he mentions something about egg code 000-0000 before turning back into Demimeramon. What about this code? Well, if you type it at any other time of the game, it's invalid. But this code releases the angel Digimon Cherubimon, the big bad boss. After you beat Xuanwumon, the code becomes valid. So, you have to go back to your house and type it in to release him and fight the final level. BE CAREFUL--once you hit "end" in the machine, there's no turning back, so heal your Digimon first and make sure they can Digivolve! Hint: All you need are your Digimon to hit Mega, and I mean all of them! Cherubimon Strategies: I've found that having a DNA-Digivolving team helps greatly. I've beaten him with my team of Gallantmon, Sakuyamon and MegaGargomon, which, at random intervals, DNA-Digivolve to Gallantmon Crimson Mode and whips Cerubimon for a good 200+ damage! The following is a list of DNA-Megas, and their corrisponding Digimon. Omnimon: Agumon's+ Gabumon's Mega Imperialdramon Palidin Mode: Veemon's+Wormmon's Mega Magnadramon: Patamon's+Gatmon's mega Gallantmon Crimson Mode: Guilmon's+Renamon's+Terriermon's Mega Beelzebumon Blast Mode: Impmon's+Demidevimon's Mega Bionic_Dude e-mailed me that his team of Dolphmon's, Angemon's and Devimon's Mega forms managed to beat Cherubimon...with a helping of three medicine/ vitamin pills each. I believe the sure-fire way is to wing it with a DNA- Digivolve--considering Cherubimon does over 100 damage when he's attacking, it's the best bet you've got. Once you defeat Cherubimon, everything will be happy-happy, and the credits will roll...but wait! The corruption meter-thingy, which had been reduced to zero when Cherubimon was defeated, is coming back! And filling the screen! It's...it's...AAAAUUUUGGGGHHH!!! (Sorry, the way that it happened in the game looked like it should be in some sort of black-and-while horror movie. I'm sure almost everyone thought that was the real end of the game there...unless you've played a lot of Digimon games.) Cherubimon is back! He's not alone this time--with him are VenomMyotismon and Beelzebumon, who can DNA Digivolve to Beelzebumon Blast Mode! Many people run into a problem this round because their Digimon don't Digivolve again, therefore allowing Cherubimon's gang to seriously beat them up. I think you should be able to save the game between round one and two with Cherubimon by selecting "Yes" earlier, before the credits (I have no idea if this works-- I haven't tried it myself.) Also, this Cherubimon is from the Patamon line, unlike the first Cherubimon which was from the Gatomon line, but I think they're technically the same mon boss. Basic strategy for beating Cherubimon twice in a row: -Raise a DNA Digivolving team (Omnimon and Gallantmon work well, but that's only a suggestion) -Train them to go to Mega in battle -Make sure each Digimon's Hunger and Strength meters are full -Feed 3 pills each (this helps for most Digimon. It seems to make their hunger meter go down slower) -SAVE THE GAME (before the battle, just in case) -If at first you don't succeed, try different Digimon combinations! 7. After Cherubimon ------------------- After the credits roll (there is some mention of code 000-0000), The game continues. The defeated bosses now sport stronger allies in their team! Whenever you agree to battle them, you now fight their Mega forms! The Cherubimon code no longer works, but maybe if you beat all the bosses again, he'll reappear...? A list of the bosses' new allies: Area 1: Plains Underlining: Koromon (MetalGreymon, SkullGreymon, Greymon) Boss: Agumon (WarGreymon, BlackWargreymon) Area 2: Forest Underlining: Minomon (3 Stingmon--Data, Virus, Vaccine) Boss: Wormmon (Dinobeemon, GrandKwagamon, Hercules Kabuterimon) Area 3: Sanctuary Underlining: Tokomon (Angemon, Angewomon) Boss: Patamon (MagnaAngemon, Seraphimon) Area 4: Mystery Underlining: Nyaromon (Red Veedramon, AeroVeedramon, Goldramon) Boss: Elecmon (2 consecutive battles: Xwanwumon, Azulongmon; Ebonwumon, Baihumon) Area 5: Dragon's Nest Underlining: DemiVeemon (DemiVeemon, DemiVeemon, Agumon...one of the few teams not in Mega) Boss: Veemon (Exeveemon, Paildramon, Imperialdramon) Area 6: Start Underlining: Nyaromon (Angemon, Ladydevimon) Boss: Salamon (Gatmon, Ophanimon, Angewomon) Area 7: Seaside Underlining: Bukamon (3 MarineAngemon--Data, Virus, Vaccine) Boss: Syakomon (Whamon, Dolphmon, MegaSeadramon) Area 8: Shrine Underlining: Pokomon (Taomon, Sakuyamon, Kyubiimon) Boss: Renamon (She copies your team--be careful!) Area 9: Snowfield Underlining: Tsunomon (WereGarurumon, Cerberumon, Garurumon) Boss: Gabumon (MetalGarurumon, WarGreymon) Area 10: Lava pool Underlining: Gigimon (Guilmon, Renamon, Terriermon) Boss: Guilmon (Growlmon, WarGrowlmon, Gallantmon) Area 11: Cliffs Underlining: Gummimon (Gargomon, Rapidmon, MegaGargomon) Boss: Terriermon (BlackMegaGargomon, MegaGargomon) Area 12: Dimension Underlining: Pagumon (Diaboromon, Myotismon, LadyDevimon) Boss: Meramon (Arukenimon, Mummymon, Beelzebumon) 8.Digimon List ------------- Wow, a whole Digimon List! All these Digimon appear in the game for sure. There are rumors that the Beast Spirits are in the game, as well as Milleniummon. I haven't confirmed that yet, but once I have, the codes will be down, Momentai! Here are the Digimon according to the order in the dictonary on the desk. Pressing Y2 and Y4 when you've selected a Digimon in the dictonary will scroll through its types--Virus, Data and Vaccine. As you can see, each attribute has a slightly different shade on the Digimon. What I've noticed is that what the Digimon's type was on the show is the type in this game that shows normal coloring--e.g. Agumon in the show is Vaccine, therefore the Vaccine Agumon is the correct color in the game. ------- Botamon Koromon Agumon Greymon MetalGreymon WarGreymon SkullGreymon BlackWargreymon ------- Punimon Tsunomon Gabumon Garurumon WereGarurumon MetalGarurumon Cerberumon Saberleomon ------- Chibomon Demiveemon Veemon ExeVeemon Paildramon Imperialdramon Magnamon Imperialdramon Fighter Mode ------- Leafmon Minomon Wormmon Stingmon Dinobeemon GrandKwagamon Okuwamon Hercules Kabuterimon ------- Poyomon Tokomon Patamon Angemon MagnaAngemon Seraphimon Shakkuomon Cerubimon ------- YukimiBotamon Nyaromon Salamon Gatomon Angewomon Ophanimon Sylphimon Cherubimon ------- Jarimon Gigimon Guilmon Growlmon WarGrowlmon Gallantmon BlackWarGrowlmon ChaosGallantmon ------- Reremon Pokomon Renamon Kyubiimon Taomon Sakuyamon Doumon Kuzuhamon ------- Konomon Gummimon Terriermon Gargomon Rapidmon MegaGargomon BlackRapidmon (Not really black) BlackMegaGargomon (He's not really black in color) ------- Zurumon Pagumon Demidevimon Devimon Myotismon Venommyotismon Ladydevimon Diaboromon ------- Maoumon DemiMeramon Impmon Devidramon Mummymon Beelzebumon Arukenimon Apockarimon ------- Nyokimon Yokomon Kunemon Airdramon Konbiramon Xuanwumon Antiramon Azulongmon Indaramon Zhuqiaomon Shinduramon Baihumon ------- Yukimibotamon Nyaromon Elecmon Red V-dramon AeroVeedramon Goldramon MetalTyrannomon Armageddemon ------- Pichimon Bukamon Syakomon Dolphmon Whamon MarineAngemon MegaSeadramon MetalSeadramon ------- Agunimon Lobomon Beetlemon Kazemon Kumamon Omnimon Imperialdramon Paladin Mode Magnadramon Gallantmon Crimsion Mode Beelzebumon Blast Mode Bokomon Neemon 9.FAQ ----- A quick FAQ for those of you starting out in the game, or looking for quick advice in one section or another. 1)Why can't I get another Digitama in the beginning of the game? If you're getting your first partner, you don't get to choose because the game does so for you. There is a reason behind this--only a Digimon from the Agumon line can beat the first boss, so this process saves you time. Only after beating the first boss can you get a second partner. 2)My Digimon has a weird sign on his head that I don't understand after I pressed Y3 to release him and Digivolve. This tends to happen only the first time your Digimon Digivolves. Simply press the A Button while facing him to talk to him, and then he will Digivolve as normal. 3)My Digimon got beaten up and needs medicine! Where do I get it? Medicine is the second option in the meat machine menu. Click it and a little pill will appear and drop down to your character. You can then use it on your Digimon. 4)How do you recover HP? Feed your Digimon the various meats to restore his HP to full. Sometimes, expecially with Scorpion Meat, the Digimon's strength meter may also fill up along with his hunger and HP meters. 5)How do you fight an opponent? Can you choose what attack to use? Sorry--only your Digimon can choose whether to use a normal striking attack (walk up and punch the enemy) or its special attack. However, you can aid your Digimon by hitting the A button when it is almost about to land a punch. If done correctly, the Digimon will perform a critical hit which does significantly more damage to the opponent than a normal hit. Some Digimon are harder to syncronize than others and you'll probably have to practice, but that's what the punchbags are for :-) Also, if you do it properly when the enemy is attacking, you may be able to defend or dodge the attack, so it does less damage than it otherwise would. 6)Why can't my Digimon Digivolve?! Digivolving takes patience. Tipically it takes about three hours for your Digimon to Digivolve from Fresh to In-Training stage, a day to go to Rookie, two to three days after that to go to Champion, and anywhere in its remaining lifespan to go to Ultimate and Mega. You can speed up the process by training many times--that's 10 and over. I had a Fresh Digimon I trained twenty times and it skipped In-Training and Rookie stages and went straight to Champion! It takes anywhere over 35 battles to get your Digimon to Digivolve to Ultimate and Mega, and these Digivolutions only occur during battle. Some Digimon may need to loose battles in a row in order to Digivolve! 7)My Greymon Digivolved to MetalGreymon once in a battle, but he won't do it anymore/ he Digivolved to something else in the next battle. Why? Your Digimon may only battle Digivolve under certian circumsances. Tipically, the first time your Digimon boosts to Ultimate, it only does so anywhere from one to three times in a row. Others only do so in a certain time frame from the last Digivolution--for example, After my Garurumon first Digivolved to WereGarurumon, I had a one-hour time frame in which it would Digivolve. Also, your Digimon may Digivolve to a different Ultimate or Mega form each time. This is due to the number of battles it fought. The more it fights, the stronger the evolution. If none of the above seem to work, make sure your Digimon's hunger and strength meters are full up. That should do the trick. 8)What's a Spirit and how do I get it? Spirits are special items that help your Digimon Digivolve into one of the five Ancient Warriors in the game--Agunimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, Kazemon and Beetlemon. Think of them as Digi-Eggs in the second season of Digimon. You get these Spirits from the Meat Machine, and the codes are as follows: Spirit of Fire (Agunimon)---5113 Spirit of Light (Lobomon)---5791 Spirit of Ice (Kumamon)-----4501 Spirit of Wind (Kazemon)----4853 Spirit of Steel (Beetlemon)-4649 These Spirits can only be used by certain Digimon, and they have to be at the Rookie level at the very least. The Spirit of Fire can only be used by Agumon or Greymon; Light, Gabumon or Garurumon; Ice, Patamon or Angemon; Wind, Salamon or Gatomon; Steel, Wormmon or Stingmon. Spirit Digimon's strength is somewhere between a Champion's and Ultimate's. 9)Why can't I defeat (insert Digimon name here)? The Digimon you are fighting is probably a Boss Digimon. Boss Digimon can only be defeated by a Digimon of the same family as the residents in the area. For example, the defeatable Digimon in the area may revert to a Minomon. So, in order to defeat the boss, you need to raise a Wormmon or Stingmon by training your Digimon in the area and letting it wander there. 10)Do you know any cheats? Just one, and I don't think it's considered as a cheat--typing in 101-8050 at the egg machine is supposed to give you an Agumon, right? Well, at the last possible moment, it turns into a YukumiBotamon egg, and out pops YukumiBotamon from it! It's an interesting glitch, actually. 11)I can't beat Cherubimon! I feel your pain. Raise a DNA-Digivolving team (e.g Greymon, Garurumon, Angemon--my team) and before you fight, make sure their meters are full and feed them 3 pills each. Basically, the faster the battle is over, the better the chance your Digimon will be able to defeat Cherubimon the second round. 10.Help Wanted ------------- The following subjects are ones that I need help on.
