(May 3rd, 2003) ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+ III.- About Batty ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+ *Introduction* This is the very first FAQ I've done for a Pocket PC game. I chose the game Batty to do my FAQ on because it is one of my personal favorites for my Dell Axim x5 PDA. It is a colorful, musical, Breakout style game which was written by Daniel Jackson. I wasn't sure what to do for a Walkthrough, since it isn't a puzzle game or any game that has a real strategy. So I drew up some charts with the layout of the blocks you need to destroy and gave you pointers on how to hit them all. *Batty Basics* (Catchy title, isn't it!) Levels- There are 20 Levels. Level Difficulties- There are 4 difficulty levels. Easy- Ball moves slow. Medium- Ball moves a little faster. Hard- Ball moves fast. Impossible- Ball moves very fast. Power-Ups/Downs Red Ball: Extra Life. Very Beneficial. Red Ball on Platform: Makes the ball stick to your platform until you are ready to release it. Beneficial yet annoying. Arrows pointing outward: Expands length of platform. Beneficial. Arrows pointing inward: Shortens length of platform. Harmfull. Skull: Takes away a life. Very Harmfull. Laser: Allows you to shoot lasers at the blocks. Very Beneficial and lots of fun! 3 Red Balls: Allows you to play with 3 balls going at once! Beneficial. ||>: Slows down speed of ball. Beneficial most of the time. >>: Speeds up speed of ball. A: It is a "Breakout" style game. The object is to destroy all the blocks in the level to advance to the next one. Q: Can I destroy the Steel Blocks A: No. Steel Blocks are used to make the game more challenging. All of the blocks are Strong Blocks, so you'll have to get 'em all twice.
