Anyway - hi there! I'm Darth Marsden, and welcome to my guide for the Wii version of Captain America - Super Soldier. Much like all the other Wii versions of big-name games, this one seems to be overlooked by all the guide writers, and if, like me, you suffer from a form of OCD which makes you unable to stop playing a game until you've finished it 100% with every single collectable thingamajig game developers absolutely positively have to hide in the most frustrating places imaginable, then this must be a little annoying. Don't worry though - that's why I'm here. This guide is not intended as a full walkthrough. The game itself is fairly linear and since there's always a great big arrow at the top of the screen, it's fairly hard to get lost for long. What this guide IS for is to tell you where all the various collectables are, from Red Skull bombs you need to destroy to the POWs that need a helping hand. CA:SS Wii has a very useful feature that lets you replay levels, so if you missed a bomb or POW you can go back and grab it. This is very handy, so long as you don't mind replaying an entire level a couple of times. Of course, since you have this guide, you shouldn't need to use this feature, but it's there if you need it. Since, at time of writing, there are no other guides for CA:SS Wii, I've no-one to acknowledge for help. So I'll just thank you for reading this guide instead. Don't let it go to your head! 2) LEGAL MUMBO-JUMBO ===== =====-===== I played the game (some might say foolishly) and wrote this guide side by side, starting on Sunday August the 21st and finishing on Wednesday August the 24th (it's not a long game). Once finished, I submitted what I intend to be the fully finished version of the guide to GameFAQs, THE ONLY PLACE I WANT TO SEE THIS GUIDE, on August 24th, 2011. I worked bloody hard on this, so don't nick it and pass it off as your own. Finally, I'm only submitting this to GameFAQs, despite receiving several requests from other sites, so don't upload it to your website if you are not GameFAQs. In short... This file is copyright 2011-Present Chris 'Darth' Marsden. All trademarks and copyrights contained in this document are owned by their respective trademark and copyright holders. ...and that's it. That wasn't so hard, was it? 3) COLLECTABLES ============ Actually, y'know what? Before we start talking about where the collectables are, let's talk about what collectables there are, and then the upgrade system. READ THE STUFF ABOUT THE UPGRADES. First of all, there's Red Skull bombs. There are 10 of these in every level, and unless you like losing health, you'll need to throw your shield at them to blow them up. You can just punch them, but that's a rather painful way of doing things. Next, there's POWs. Prisoners of War, they rarely seem to actually need rescuing, just a pep talk, but there's three of these in every level as well. Appearing from the second level onwards are Zola Challenges. These are special mini-games that you need to punch a button to activate, and the actual challenge differs every time. These live up to their name, because they get very tricky very quickly. The number of these in each level veries, but it's usually around three. I'll mention the number at the beginning of each level's collectables. Finally, there's Zemo's Relics. 8 in total, with a mere one appearing in each level in the Castle. Once you collect all 8, you unlock a new costume! Woo! Now. UPGRADES. This is important. As you defeat enemies and break stuff, you'll collect little stars. These are this game's version of experience points. It's a pretty basic EXP system, but it does add a little depth to the game. You can see how much experience you have, and how much you need to level up an ability, by checking the white bar under your health meter. Once it's full, the game pauses (whatever you're doing, which is a little weird) and you'll be forced to choose one of three catagories to upgrade - Star, Shield or Soldier. You can check which upgrades you've already unlocked at any point throughout the game by selecting the View Upgrades option from the pause menu. Nice to know. Now, as to which section to upgrade first... START BY GOING FOR THE SHIELD CATAGORY. The second upgrade gives you the ability to detect hidden areas, which means that when you're near a collectable, a question mark symbol will appear on the right side of the screen. This is going to be very, very useful, so get it ASAP. Once you've got that, KEEP UPGRADING THE STAR CATAGORY. You'll need those extra ones for a couple of challenges. When you max that out, keep going with the Shield again, you'll eventually get the option to increase the range you detect the secrets, though that one's not quite as useful, since you have this guide! Helped me out a little though, so there ya go. Anyway. Onto the guide itself! 3a) FRONTLINES ---------- Red Skull Bomb #01 - The game focuses on this one, so it's damn near impossible to miss. If you see a cutscene of Cap jumping to avoid an explosion, you've gone too far. Red Skull Bomb #02 - In the area where Cap remarks that "There must be a way to open this door somewhere else", it's on one of the walls behind the health crate. POW #1 - Inside the first building you enter. A message will pop up telling you to press Z to rescue him. Red Skull Bomb #03 - On the wall to the right of POW #1. Red Skull Bomb #04 - This one's easy to miss. As you exit the building with the POW in, an enemy with a machine gun will appear. If you look to the left side of the trench, you should see the Bomb. If you reflect the hail of bullets at it, you get bonus experience! Of note, you actually walked right past this bomb earlier, but the camera wasn't playing fair at the time. Red Skull Bomb #05 - Once you head down into the main Hydra complex, there'll be a cutscene of the enemies. You'll also get a nice shot of the Bomb, which is tucked away at the back of the room next to the transformer you need to destroy. POW #2 - From Bomb #6, head to the room to the right, in the opposite direction to the arrow at the top of the screen (now's probably a good time to mention that you'll need to ignore that arrow to get half these things). Follow the corridor to reach the POW. Red Skull Bomb #06 - In the room after Cap remarks 'What kind of ordinance was that?', the Bomb is hidden behind a bunch of crates. Red Skull Bomb #07 - From #6, head down the stairs. Bomb #7 is literally right in front of you at the bottom. Red Skull Bomb #08 - After pulling a switch, there'll be a room with two gunners. The Bom is on the right side of the room. Remember to deflect the bullets at it for extra experience! Red Skull Bomb #09 - From #8, in the next room Cap will tell a soldier to move it. Follow him and Cap will start jumping up some platforms. Follow them until you're halfway across the pillars. If you look to the left, you should see the bomb. POW #3 - You'll come to an outdoor area where you need to stand on a platform to expose the powerbox. To the right of the powerbox is a path which ends with some explosive barrels. Throw your shield at them to reveal a path leading to a room with the POW. Red Skull Bomb #10 - In the room with the platform to expose the powerbox, destroy the box and head down. The final Bomb of the level is right in front of you. 3b) INFILTRATION ------------ POW #1 - Once you've cleared out the very first area, look on the wall on the left side to see a powerbox. Destroy it and enter the door this unlocks to find the POW. Challenge #1 - Get a COmbo Count of 10 This is on the right wall of the starting area. It activates once you've blown up the tower. The challenge itself isn't too hard, as long as you remember to press Z to counter-attack whenever the prompt appears. Red Skull Bomb #01 - In the first radio room. The first Bomb is under the window you jumped in through. Red Skull Bomb #02 - In the first radio room. This one is behind the bookcase moved by pulling the switch hidden behind some crates. POW #2 - After the first radio room, the corridor splits in two. Head down the right side and punch/shield the wall to break it. The POW's in the room beyond. Red Skull Bomb #03 - This is in the same room as POW #2, on the wall to the left. Red Skull Bomb #04 - In the first 'tower' room, you'll need to jump up the platforms on the right side of the room and swing across the pole to reach the Bomb that's just above the door used to enter the room. POW #3 - About halfway up the first tower room, you'll go through a door and end up outside the room. Don't climb up like you're supposed to - instead, just head around the ground area to find the POW. Challenge #2 - Destroy all targets Once you've blown up the first flak cannon, don't enter the door you unlock. The button is on the console just to the right of the door. The challenge itself is fairly straightforward, and if you're any good with the wiimote, you'll be fine. In fact, if you've unlocked all 7 Focus Stars, you can take all the targets out in one shot. Awesome. Red Skull Bomb #05 - This is in the room with all the turrets. When you first enter, stand on the platform in front of the door and shield all the targets in front of the turret that pops up. Once the turret has shot all three powerboxes, the Bomb will be uncovered, ready for you to destroy it. Red Skull Bomb #06 - Also in the room with all the turrets. Opposite #5 is a switch on the wall. Stand back from it and hit it, then immediately hold Z to raise your shield. A turret will pop up. Direct the bullets into the powerbox, and it will unseal the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #07 - In the second radio room. On the walls are three shields. Destroy them to reveal switches. Hit all three to uncover the bomb on the wall. Challenge #3 - Defeat all enemies This one's located after the second radio room, in the area with the cutscene introducing the 'rage' enemies. Once you beat them, the switch on the wall becomes active. This is the first really tricky challenge, because there's not enough time to defeat all the enemies in normal combat. The trick I discovered is to use your Focus Mode (hold down C) to knock all the enemies down, then take out on of them while they're stunned on the floor. Then enter Focus Mode again, knock all the enemies down and repeat until you've taken all the enemies out. This might take a few goes, but it is doable this way. Red Skull Bomb #08 - In the second tower room, after the gun section jump up onto the platform. Instead of making your way to the left, jump across to the platforms on the right and follow that path. You'll land on a platform with a Bomb at the end. Red Skull Bomb #09 - In the second tower room, after walking up a metal beam, you'll walk past a covered Bomb. Follow the path round (NOT up) to find a switch. Pull it and throw your shield at the Bomb to destroy it, as the cover doesn't stay open for very long. Challenge #4 - Collect 35 tokens Once you've destroyed the second flak cannon, the switch is on the wall to the left of where the cannon is/was. The challenge itself isn't too hard, but you'll need to be careful when you start, as the camera's facing the wrong way! Just repeat the path you took to get to the top and you'll be fine. Zemo Relic - After the second flak cannon, follow the path until it splits. Head right and behind the barrels is a switch. Pull it to open a door. Now head down the left path and enter the now-open door on the right to find the chest. Red Skull Bomb #10 - In the third tower room, you'll need to make your way about halfway up, to the metal pole you walk across. While walking on it, the final Bomb of the level is on the wall to your right. 3c) HIGH VOLTAGE ---- ------- POW #1 - In the very first room, defeat all the enemies (you can drop the chandelier on them if you like). Once done, the camera will show you two doors unlocking. Head in the second one and follow it to the POW. Red Skull Bomb #01 - In the second room, there's a nice big crack on the left wall between the bookcases. Break it and the Bomb is in the room beyond. Red Skull Bomb #02 - In the extremely tall corridor, the Bomb is on the wall to the right of the exit door. Red Skull Bomb #03 - In the large open room, there's a pressure pad under some of the crates. Stand on it and the camera should show you the Bomb it reveals. POW #2 - In the corner of the large open room, behind a bunch of crates. Why'd he need help again? Red Skull Bomb #04 - In the large open room, follow the path up. Before the switch, there's a door to the right. Go in it and, behind some crates, is the Bomb. Challenge #1 - Perform counters In the room with the three switches on the wall. Once you've activate the switches, the challenge switch, to the left of the fireplace behind you, will become active. This one can be a little tricky. As soon as someone becomes enraged (red mist around them), enter Focus Mode (hold C) and hit them with your shield. Then just counter as normal and you'll be fine. If you need to, defeat all the other enemies and just constantly counter the 'commander'. His counter is quick and doesn't seem to do much damage. Red Skull Bomb #05 - In the room with all the turrets (and the electric floor), the Bomb is to the left of the second turret, on the wall of one of the consoles. Challenge #2 - Destroy all targets In the garden area where you first encounter the female assassin, destroy the fusebox and the switch for the challenge, to the left, becomes active. I had the hardest time with this challenge. The trick is to make sure you've fully upgraded the Star section, because that ensures your Focus Stars recharge at a stupidly fast rate. Once you've got that, the challenge is simply a matter of using Focus mode to take out seven targets at a time, and then rinse and repeating. Zemo Relic - In the room with the first radar console, behind the crates is a room with the chest inside. Red Skull Bomb #06 - In the room with the staircase, halfway up is a door. Follow it and destroy the Bomb at the end of the corridor. Red Skull Bomb #07 - When you make it to the radar dish, there are a series of platforms just beyond the switch. Jump across them to reach the Bomb. Challenge #3 - Collect tokens Once you enter the room with all the red light (and the cutscene showing the way out), look on the left wall for the switch. The tokens are dotted all over the room, so it's probably best if you go over it and destroy all the boxes and pylons before trying the challenge! Otherwise, it's just a matter of running round and finding them all, and since they get sucked in by you when you get close to them, it's not that difficult. POW #3 - In the far left corner of the room from Challenge #3. You'll probably walk past him. Red Skull Bomb #08 - In the room from Challenge #3, behind a load of boxes along the back wall. The Bomb's to the left of the climbable pipes. Red Skull Bomb #09 - This one's ticky to get to. From #9, climb up the pipes and jump to the platform on the right. Make your way onto the walkable wire, but look to your left. You should see a platform that leads through a broken wall. You need to jump to that, then head through that wall to reach the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #10 - Another tricky one. In the room with the one turret and multiple floor tiles, look to the right side of the room. You should see an inactive challenge switch. If you look ABOVE that, you should see the final Bomb on a girder on the ceiling. You're actually supposed to climb up here via the other girders, but you don't really need to, so why bother? Challenge #4 - Stealth elimination In the room with the single turret and multiple floor tiles, take out all the powerboxes and the switch, on the right side of the room, will become active. I hate stealth. This game is no exception. Take out the first guy behind you as you start. Then head to the other side of the room and take out the other guy. Next, head to the guy in the middle of the room, then the guy to the left of him. The guy around the other side of the consoles is next, and finally the guy on the other side of the room again. And done. Grr. 3d) CAPTURED ======== Red Skull Bomb #01 - If you don't mind losing a bit of health, you can get this now. It's in the corridor with all the boxes after the first 'test'. The game wants you to go right, so naturally go straight on! The Bomb is behind the steel crate at the end of the straight section of the corridor. Make sure you have enough health before breaking it - if not, you can come back to it later. Challenge #1 - Platform attack Once you regain your shield, take out the plasma troopers in the next room. Then check the right wall for the switch. This isn't too hard, since there are plenty of platforms. Just jump up on one, then attack the nearest enemy to do a platform attack. Do this 12 times. Not too difficult, all told, just make sure you don't run out of health! Red Skull Bomb #02 - When climbing the pipes to escape the room with your shield, don't enter the door. Instead, on the highest pipe, jump to the right. You'll land on a platform. Follow the platforms round and make your way across both pipes. After the second pipe, throw your shield at the gate slightly above you and head on through. Break the gate at the end and cross over the narrow path to finally reach the Bomb. You'll need to hit the three switches to release it first! Red Skull Bomb #03 - After escaping the room with your shield, you'll come across a path with a fire turret. Throw your shield at the crate of explosives carelessly left by the powerbox, then head to where the turret was to find the next Bomb. Zemo Relic - From Bomb #3, you'll return to where all the turrets and pop-up walls were. Drop down and make your way to the back of the room. There's a pressure pad, so stand on it. A turret will pop up and shoot at you. Direct the bullets into the powerbox and the door next to it will open up. The Relic's in there. Red Skull Bomb #04 - From the Zemo Relic, head back to the pressure pad and climb up the pipes on the nearby wall. Jump to the left side and you should see the Bomb in an alcove ahead of you. Challenge #2 - Collect tokens Return to the upper pipes of the room with the turrets and pop-up walls. Head back the way you were originally supposed to go and you should see the switch on the left side of the wall in the tunnel that the pipe leads into. This isn't too tricky so long as you make sure not to accidentally run off the end of any pipes. It's easy to do, so watch out. Other than that, your only real problem is that, once again, the camera hates you and is facing the wrong way when you start! Bah! POW #1 - From Challenge #2, continue through the tunnel and you'll come across some crates. Behind them is a breakable wall that leads to the POW. Jailbreak! Red Skull Bomb #05 - Upon your return to the room where you were knocked down by the assassin, look to your left and make your way down the pipes. Jump away from the wall and you'll see three switches. Hit them all to reveal the Bomb, ready for shielding. Red Skull Bomb #06 - Return to the top of the pipes and follow the path to the left. You'll come to some walkable beams. Follow them and break open the gate to reveal a path. At the end of it are a bunch of crates and a Bomb on the back wall. Red Skull Bomb #07 - Return to the top of the pipes and follow the path to the right. You'll come to some cells. One of them has some crates in front of it. Break them to reveal the cell in question has a Bomb in it. POW #2 - After the sealed room with the barrels and enemies the path splits. Head left first and pull the switch, then head right and pull the other switch. You can now head on through and grab the soldier. Make sure you get the experience before leaving the room, you won't get a chance to retrieve it later. (If you didn't get the first Bomb earlier, it's down the path opposite the POW. Don't forget it now!) Challenge #2 - Destroy targets After returning to the room outside your cell, step on the pressure plate and hit the powerbox. This will open the door and activate the challenge switch. You'll need to either reflect the plasma soldier's shots into the targets (if you've upgraded that ability) or take control of a plasma soldier (quick fling your shield at them then run up to them and press Z) and use them to shoot the targets. Not too diffucult once you've got the hang of it. Red Skull Bomb #08 - After the room with the electric floor, you'll enter a corridor. The first alcove on the right has a breakable wall. So break it. break the boxes and the grate and straight away, on the left inside the vent, is the Bomb. POW #3 - From Bomb #8, follow the path. The POW's in room at at the end of the ventilation shaft. Red Skull Bomb #09 - In the room with the invisibility right next to the entrance (awful nice of them to leave that there!), climb up the path and head across the pylon. Rather than make your way across the second pylon, stand on the small square platform sticking out and jump to your right to reach another platform that's right next to the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #10 - In the upper room with the switch, the wall on the left is breakable. Beyond it lies the Bomb. Challenge #4 - Destroy targets After Madame Hydra has kicked you in the face (should've seen that one coming, Cap) and you've beaten all the assassins, the switch between the steps will become active. 10 of these targets are fairly straightforward. The 11th is evil. It's actually in the same little nook as Bomb #9. Like I say, EVIL. 3e) PRISON BREAK ====== ===== Red Skull Bomb #01 - In the very first room you start in. It's on your left. Challenge 1 - Collect tokens After jumping over the platforms with the fire cannons, you'll destroy the powerbox that's powering them. From here, jump up to the door, and the switch is to the right of that door. This challenge may seem impossible until you realise that you can actually jump towards the cannons OVER the firebombs. Once you've got the hang of that, it's just a matter of being careful - but not waiting too long on each platform. Just go for it and keep an eye on the shots that are coming. It may take a few goes, but it's very much achievable. Red Skull Bomb #02 - Opposite the switch for Challenge #1 are a set of platforms you can reach now the floor is no longer electrified. Climb up and enter the air vent, then follow the path all the way round. The Bomb is on the right once you exit onto a proper platform again. Red Skull Bomb #03 - In the room where the soldiers are preparing for a test subject, there's a Bomb on of set of shelves facing the bed. POW #1 - In the long corridor with three fire turrets, the powerboxes are round the corner. Use the plasma guards to destroy the powerboxes, then flip the switch that was behind the turrets. It'll open the door to the cell with a POW inside. Red Skull Bomb #04 - In the first room after POW#3 there are two caged off areas. Behind the crates are a pair of valves. Hit the one on the left with your shield to set of a chain reaction that'll blow up the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #05 - In the room with all the plasma guards shooting you from above, clear out the room of enemies and hit the third switch that lowers the platform. Jump up onto the machine, then onto the red girder to the right. From here, jump from girder to girder until you reach the final one, then walk onto the wire (Cap'll stop at the edge of the platform for a second, but keep pressing the control stick until he stops being a pansy and grinds down). You'll land on a pressure pad that uncovers the Bomb below you. Challenge #2 - Ground Stomp attack After heading through corridor B (you really won't miss it) you'll come to a room full of enemies. Once you've cleared them out, the switch will activate. This isn't hard once you realize what a Ground Stomp is! Enter Focus Mode (hold C) and target as many people as you can. Once someone's lying on the ground stunning, attack them and you'll do a Ground Stomp. Just do this 6 times and you're golden. Challenge #3 - Destroy targets In the engine room (where you first see the rocket turret), make your way across the first set of gears and platforms. Hit the switch and then make your way across the second set. Once you reach the pipe, slide down it and jump off when you reach the platform. The switch is on the right side of the door. This is an odd one. A ring will appear and make targets appear along its path. The trick is to stand right next to the door, enter Focus Mode (hold C) and target three... well, targets. By the time your shield gets back to you, two more should have popped up, so enter Focus Mode again and wait until a third has appeared before launching your shield again. Lather, rinse and repeat. POW #2 - Once you enter the East Wing (Zola will contact you to brag when you get there), you'll need to hit a switch to make a laser appear. To the left of this switch is a breakable wall, behind which is the POW. Red Skull Bomb #06 - On the wall to the right of POW #2. POW #3 - At the end of the corridor where you trip the alarm (how did you do that?) is a lever. Pull it to open another cell with another POW in it. Red Skull Bomb #07 - In the room with the great lazer beam and all the mirrors (it's so big it gets a cutscene showing it off), you'll need to rotate the second mirror. This is the one that's in the right position from the off, but you need to rotate it to point to a second activator that opens up the Bomb to the right of it. Red Skull Bomb #08 - Once you used your shield to direct the beam to the activator at the end of the room, jump onto the steel boxes opposite the door, then onto the machine, then the girders. Follow the girders across until you reach a pressure pad - this opens up the Bomb above the door you came in from. Challenge #4 - Stealth elimination Once you've rescued Dum Dum Duggan and activate the three-way pressure pads, the switch (which you may have seen earlier) finally becomes active. It's on the far left of the door you're supposed to go in. Did I mention I hate stealth? 'cause I hate stealth. This is why. From the start, jump over and swing to the next ledge. Jump down (how does he not hear that?) and take out the first guy. Next, run all the way around the path and take out the guy patrolling the other side of the room. Wait for the man patrolling the inner section to face away from you, then head back up the stairs and swing back across. This time slide down the pipe and land inside the room, then take out the guy inside it (this guy is why didn't just take out the third prtolling man). Finally, head outside the room and follow the path round to the left to catch up to the last man. Red Skull Bomb #09 - From the three-way pressure pads, face left. You should see an open cell with a grate in it. Destroy the grate and enter the vent. Follow the really long path until you reach a crossroads. Head right and you'll come to a Bomb. Zemo Relic - From Bomb #9, retuirn the the crossroads and take the left path. After destroying the grate, you'll be in a room with the chest. Red Skull Bomb #10 - From the Zemo Relic, break open the grate opposite the one you come in from. Head down the vent and head straight past the breakable grate on the left. At the end of this path, in a mirror version of the last one, is Bomb #10. 3f) BUCKY ===== Red Skull Bomb #01 - As you enter 'a ruined old prison', look to the left of the valve that's highlighted. You should see some boxes on the other side of a bit of wall. The Bomb's behind these boxes. Challenge #1 - Collect tokens This is right after you ride the second lift in the old prison room. It's behind some boxes by the corridor you're supposed to go down. This challenge isn't particularly hard once you know the route. From the start, you head to head up the pipes, and just follow the trail from there. You get 9 tokens right at the end of the path, so don't worry about running short. Red Skull Bomb #02 - In the room with the commander giving his men a motivational speech, one of the walls is half broken. COmpletely break it to find an alcove with the Bomb in it. Red Skull Bomb #03 - In the garbage room, while riding the moving platforms, look above the glass windows to see a Bomb on the wall. Careful as you move, it can be hard to hit it without using Focus. POW #1 - Follow the beserker to find the POW. You can drop down the other side of the glass windows by flipping the switch found at the top of the stairs. Red Skull Bomb #04 - This is right behind POW #1. POW #2 - After riding the moving platforms, you'll end up in front of a door. Don't enter it - instead, follow the very narrow path to the right and enter that door instead. You'll see a pressure pad on the floor to the right. Press it, then follow the path on the floor to the next POW. Once you free Bucky, there are four areas you need to visit, but you can do them in any order you like. For the purposes of this guide, I'm going through them in clockwise order from the big gate you eventually go through. The first one's the green gun, followed by the purple ammo/target, then the blue conveyer belt, and finally the yellow robot. Green gun first. Challenge #2 - Stun enemies Once you've destroyed the 'super soldier station' in the green gun room, look at the walls to find one covered in ammo crates. Break them to reveal the switch. This is absurdly easy. Repeatedly quick fling your shield at the normal enemy while avoiding the beserkers. Ok, maybe not absurdly easy, but it's still fairly simple. Purple gun/target next. Red Skull Bomb #05 - In the room with the gun placement, check the corner for a huge stack of crates. The Bomb's behind them. POW #3 - Once you've destroyed the 'super soldier station' in the purple gun/target section, look past it to see a brick wall. Break it and follow the path to find a beserker? Yeah, sneak attacks don't work so well on them. Anyway, beat him and the POW is in the back of the room. Blue conveyer belt next. Challenge #3 - Destroy heat seekers Once you've destroyed the 'super soldier station' in the blue conveyer room, head back down to ground level. To the left of the tesla pillar you can activate with the lever are some crates. Break them to reveal the switch. USE FOCUS SHOTS. That is all. Red Skull Bomb #06 - Look to the left of Challenge #3 to see a bit of machinery. Break it to reveal a Bomb hidden behind it. Red Skull Bomb #07 - While riding the moving platforms from the top of the blue conveyer room, look to the left of the room to see the Bomb. Again, Focus Shots are your friend. Zemo Relic - This is right below Bomb #7. You'll need to jump off the moving platform down through an incredibly tall shaft that should really have broken both Cap's legs. Anyway, the chest is in the room this shaft leads to. Red Skull Bomb #08 - From the Zemo Relic, enter the air vent. The Bomb is on the left side of the shaft, so be careful not to walk past it. Yellow robot last. Red Skull Bomb #09 - Once you defeat the beserker in the trap at the top of the yellow robot room, the Bomb will be unsealed. And back to the main path. Challenge #4 - Combo count Once you have disabled all four 'super soldier stations' and beaten the two beserkers in the main room, head down the path. On the left is a large number of glass containers. Break them all to reveal the switch beyond. This is one of the hardest challenges. You need to obtain three combos of 10. Or a combo of 30, if you're brave enough to try it. As soon as this challenge begins, Focus Shot the assassin and kick her while she's down. Now just take your time and focus on getting that 30x combo. Hit an enemy but for the love of god make sure you press Z if you see the prompt. Always hit Z if you see the prompt. If you're lucky, you should get the 30x before you run out of enemies. This WILL take you several goes to get, but I promise you, hard as it is, you can do it. Red Skull Bomb #10 - After reuniting with Bucky and beating all the enemies, look to the left of the large door you're supposed to enter. You'll see a smaller one. Enter it and look to the right to see another Bomb on the wall. 3g) BEHIND THE CURTAIN ====== === ======= Red Skull Bomb #01 - In the very first room, there are a small set of steps. Climb up them, and on the wall next to the top of these stairs is a Bomb. Challenge #1 - Throw enemies In the room where you first fight the robot, the switch is on the right of the exit door. As soon as the challenge starts, Focus Shot and floor stomp both the assassin and machine gunner. This will leave you the two plasma enemies. Simply counter their movements to stun them, then press Z to throw them. It's not too hard to get into a rathym of stunning and throwing one, then the other, by which point the first one has gotten up again and you can start the process again. Red Skull Bomb #02 - Once you activate and ride the elevator, check the back of the room you go down to, where you'll find the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #03 - In the room where you radio Stark, look above the door you came in from. The Bomb is high up on the wall. Red Skull Bomb #04 - In the room with the two robots, you'll climb across the roof and slide down two wires. On the wall above the end of the second wire are some climeable pipes. Jump on them and head right to land on a platform with the Bomb. POW #1 - From Bomb #4, jump to the wire above you and you'll slide down to a door. Enter it and follow the path to find a cell with a POW in it. Red Skull Bomb #05 - After taking out the guard who's just... staring at the wall, destroy the boxes to the right and you'll reveal some explosives. Destroy them to blow up the Bomb. Challenge #2 - Platform attack After returning to the room with two robots and fighting two more, the switch on one of the walls will activate. As soon as the challenge starts, Focus Shot the assassin behind you. Then just jump up onto one of the tables and attack one of the enemies. Make sure they're stationary - don't try and do a jump attack on an enraged enemy, as you'll just miss them when they run past. Zemo Relic - After riding the big lift down a second time, there should be a door just to the right of where you exit from. Enter it, and at the split, head right. Defeat the enemies and enter the first door on your right. Climb up the platforms and follow the path to reach the relic chest. Red Skull Bomb #06 - From the Zemo Relic, look above the door you entered the room through. The Bomb is right above it. POW #2 - After riding the big lift down a second time, there should be a door just to the right of where you exit from. Enter it, and at the split, head left. Defeat the enemies and follow the path to reach a set of cells. The POW's in the farthest one on the left. Challenge #3 - Destroy targets This is in the room with the spiral cable you slide down, and it's on the wall below where said cable starts. It becomes active once you've flipped all four levers in the room. Like all these types of challenges, this is easy once you've fully upgraded your Star power. Focus Shot 7 targets at a time, wait a second for your shots to recharge, then do it again. Red Skull Bomb #07 - In the room with the third lift lever, blow up the barrels to also destroy the Bomb behind the grating. POW #3 - Once you ride the lift down for the third and final time, the POW is right behind the lift. Red Skull Bomb #08 - In the submarine room (with the covered powerboxes the game shows you), look at the wall you come through. To the left of the door, above the 'guard tower', is the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #09 - In the submarine room, drop down into the hole in the middle. At the bottom of the stairs is a room with the Bomb inside. Red Skull Bomb #10 - In the submarine room, after destroying the second round of powerboxes, you'll end up running across a set of cables. The second cable takes you past a crane. The Bomb is on the other side of this crane, opposite the (inactive) challenge switch. Challenge #4 - Collect tokens See Bomb #10. The switch becomes active once you've pulled the last lever in the room. This can be tricky. The trick is to jump up to the crane ASAP and slide down the cable, then jump to the one below. As soon as you've done that, jump away from the cable down to the pit below. If you've done it right, you'll grab the tokens in a straight line downwards. From here, just run up the stairs and make your way back to the crane, slide down the cable and jump to the one below. You should have around 10 seconds spare if you do it all smoothly. 3h) EMERGE ====== Red Skull Bomb #01 - In the corridor where Cap claims the enemy 'may want to retreat', Focus Shot the platform with the barrels above the bad guy to make it land on him, taking the Bomb with him. Red Skull Bomb #02 - From #1, enter the corridor on the right. You'll come to another corridor with a speaker in it. Look on the wall to the right here to see the next Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #03 - Down the white balcony you may recognise from a few levels ago, go round the corner. The Bomb in on the wall opposite the door. Challenge #1 - Stealth elimination This is in the room where Cap remarks on how loyal Hyrda troops are. It's just to the right of the door you entered the room through. I don't think I've mentioned how much I hate stealth. It's a lot. Anyway, take out the guy in front of you, then wait for the guard to walk past the console you're behind. When he's a few steps away, run out and stealth him. Now angle the camera for the far left side of the room and you should see a guard next to the consoles. Keep the camera aimed at him and duck back behind the console the first guard was next to. You'll need to wait for that far guard to walk back out into the middle of the room, then turn round. Once he's facing the wall, run out and stealth the commander, then dash over and take out the final enemy. Seriously, stealth = suckage. Red Skull Bomb #04 - From Challenge #1, jump onto the table and then jump on the rocket laying on it. You should launch it at the window, which'll break. Beyond the window is a powerbox - break that to unlock the door to the left (how does breaking a powerbox gived power to a door?). Go in this door and do a U-turn through the corridor. You'll end on the other side of the window. The Bomb is on the wall above where the window was. POW #1 - From Bomb #4, head down the corridor opposite the window. You'll end up with the POW. Red Skull Bomb #05 - From Challenge #1, go through the open door and drop down. The Bomb is behind you on the wall next to the collapsed corridor. Red Skull Bomb #06 - In the room with the bookcases and turrets, complete the room, but don't leave it. Instead, jump on the left set of metal crates, and then jump to the top of the bookcase. Make your way across the bookcases and girders to a platform with the Bomb on it. Challenge #2 - Perform counters This is in the room with the two assassins and a bruiser. Take them out, and the switch on the left side of the room will activate. This isn't too hard. Avoid the assassin, use your shield when an enraged enemy charges at you and just press Z whenever you see the prompt. Red Skull Bomb #07 - In the room with the stained-glass windows, One end of the room has a bank of nine switches. You can either use Focus Shots on seven and two of them, or (if they're still alive) you can deflect the plasma trooper's shots at them. Either way, activate all nine and the Bomb will be uncovered. Red Skull Bomb #08 - Almost the same as #7, only you need to hit the top and bottom 3 of the panel of 9. Leave the middle row untouched to open the Bomb. Challenge #3 - Destroy targets This is in the courtyard where you face several waves of different enemies, culminating in that annoying robot. The switch is on the right ride of the yard, next to the open door. This is tricky. You can't get too close to the targets, so you need to quick throw your shield at the walls behind them, then move to be in line with the targets so your shield hits them on the way back. This'll take a few goes. The final round just needs a Focus Shot to hit all the targets. POW #2 - From Challenge #3, enter the door next to the switch and follow the path to the POW. Red Skull Bomb #09 - In the yard with all the containers, you blow up one of the turrets by exploding some barrels next to it. In the open container behind this turret is the Bomb. Red Skull Bomb #10 - In the yard with all the containers, take out the top-most turret (the one with the pressure pad). Face away from the powerbox and you'll see a roof. Run over it to see the Bomb. Zemo Relic - In the yard with all the containers, you'll slide down a cable. If you look past the cables you're meant to jump onto, you'll see a container with an open roof. Jump into that to find the chest with the Relic. Challenge #4 - Collect tokens In the yard with all the containers, in the corner with the pipes you climb up behind the containers, is a lever. Pull it to open a door on the opposite side of the yard. In there, on the console at the end of the corridor, is the switch. Not too difficult, just follow the path. The only tricky bit is on the crane - make sure you're right at the edge of it before trying to jump to the cable, or you'll miss and fall to the ground. Then just remember to jump between the two cables. POW #3 - From Challenge #3, follow the path opposite the switch to reach the POW. 3i) FROM THE DEPTHS ==== === ====== Red Skull Bomb #01 - Once you enter the first large room, look high up on the left wall to see the Bomb. Challenge #1 - Eliminate enemies In the first large room, defeat the robots, then stand on the pressure pad. The switch, on the central consoles, will activate. This isn't hard. Quick fling your shield at an enemy, then press Z and point to the nearest pit. You should throw him over the edge. The game'll take a few seconds to give you the point, so don't worry if you do three and it hasn't counted. It will, honest! Red Skull Bomb #02 - Once you enter the second large room, look to your right. The Bomb is under the switch. Red Skull Bomb #03 - From #2, head to the opposite corner of the room. The Bomb is in one of the alcoves. Red Skull Bomb #04 - In the corridor where you are taunted about how you'll never see 'amber grains' again, the Bomb is on the wall right before the stairs. It's easy to walk past, so be alert. Red Skull Bomb #05 - When you re-enter the first large room, you'll climb up some pipes. You're meant to then slide down a cable. Don't. Instead, enter Focus Mode and look to the left of the cable to see the Bomb on the grey pipe. Challenge #2 - Collect tokens From Bomb #5, slide down the cable, then walk across the next one. The switch is in front of you. Hard to miss, really. Simply follow the path until you get to the cable leading to the switch. From here, you'll need to jump to the other cable and follow the path down. There's nine tokens at the end, so if you think you've missed some, you haven't. Zemo Relic - After the explosive corridor, you'll head to the left and enter another corridor. Halfway through is an enemy. Defeat him, then enter the pipe... thing he was looking at. In the room below, flip the lever to open the door. Raise your shield and collect a rocket on it, then fling the explosive shield at the covered powerbox to uncover the Relic's Chest. Red Skull Bomb #06 - After entering the third large room, cheack the rafters. The Bomb is up there. Red Skull Bomb #07 - In the third large room, hit all the valves to destroy the generator. Break through the pipes where it stood and enter the door. It leads to the Bomb. POW #1 - After sliding down the cable in the round tunnel, you'll be in a room with several switches. Pull the left one and defeat the enemies to open the left 'hanger', which has the POW in one of the corners. POW #2 - As #1, only pull the middle lever and search the middle 'hanger'. POW #3 - As #1, only pull the right lever and seach the right 'hanger'. Challenge #3 - Combo count In exactly the same place as POW #2. The switch is activated by pulling all three switches and clearing out all the enemies. Getting a 40x combo is a little tricky. Mostly you need to be careful not to get hit. Press Z whenever the prompt appears, try to attack enemies that are away from the group (so you don't accidentally hit two at the same time, since that only counts as one hit) and take plenty of deep breaths. Red Skull Bomb #08 - Once you've activated all four levers in the POW area, head through the door that was by POW #1. Follow the path and you'll find the Bomb at the end of it. Red Skull Bomb #09 - In the room at the top of the stairs where Arnim Zola makes you an offer over the speakers, look in the circlular area on the roof of the room. The Bomb's there. Red Skull Bomb #10 - Once you return to the second large room again, activate the two/three targets by the green field. Once the bridge is up, cross over and look on the other side of the middle button to find the Bomb. Challenge #4 - Destroy targets On the wall to the right of Bomb #9. Use Focus Shots of 7, and make sure to dodge the fire bombs. Not that hard, really. 4) CONCLUSION ========== Whew! Finished. Finally. That was a task and a half. There's just a few bits and pieces left, and then I'm done. Yay! Credits ------- As far as I'm aware, no-one really helped me with this. It's just something I did because no-one else did. So no credits! Revision History -------- ------- 0.616 - First version. I've gone through the entire game, and I've got everything. Hopefully that should be it, bearing ny prticulerly vicous erorz.
