Disney Epic Mickey: Quests Guide System: Nintendo Wii Started: 7/30/2011 Finished: 8/6/2011 Created by William Donehoo (thegamemaster8) e-Mail: thegamemaster8@hotmail.com Version: Final Guide Copyright 2011 for GameFAQs only Game Copyright 2010 for Disney Interactive Information Gathered from my own Gameplay was used in this Guide. Gilda's Axe Glitch info submitted to GameFAQs by JusticeLeaguer8. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This Guide is to be shown only on GameFAQS or any site they are affliated with. The Game is copyright to it's respective owners so this Guide cannot be sold. Just don't do it. I am but a small man. I cannot defend myself against a big company like Disney! I should also note that this Guide has some major spoilers in it so use it at the risk of your own curiosity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update (9/8/12) Okay. So I've received, on two seperate occasions over the past year and a half, e-mails pertaining to a glitch concerning your battle with Captain Hook. I've receieved this info twice from GameFAQs Members. RJ Eng first told me about this Glitch last year, but I never updated any of my 3 Guides for this Game to cover it and suggested he submit the Glitch to the Cheats Section of the Game's GameFAQs Page. Four days ago, ShadwSonic e-mailed me with the same glitch which tells me that no one has submitted to the Cheats Page for this Game yet so I'll cover it here. Apparently this Glitch allows you to trash Captain Hook, but still rescue Pete Pan's Sprite. As RJ Eng explains: "I was doing a Thinner run, and used the bash-to-pieces method to defeat Hook. After defeating him, on a whim, I painted the steps in and took the path up, getting the Hidden Content on the back of the ship, but going further and releasing the Sprite, AFTER the battle. Pete Pan showed up with a "Thank you, I'll take it from here" (?) and the Quest was marked as completed even though he had no impact on the fight. Upon getting back to Mean Street and talking to Big Bad Pete, he thanked me for "Putting the fight back in Pete Pan", and gave me (I think) 30 E-tickets and a Power Spark, no Pin though. I know 30 is loose change to anyone who has the Wallet Upgrades, but it might still be worth a mention." As ShadwSonic explains: "Just wanted to let you know that it is possible to both free the Sprite and defeat Hook yourself in the same playthrough! Simply beat Hook, then climb the rigging like normal and you'll be able to reach the Sprite! This counts as completing the Petes' Quests (getting the related rewards), but also counts as beating Hook yourself (thus getting the Thinner Upgrade and the "Bad" ending for that part." I've personally never tried the Glitch myself, so I can't say for certain whether it works or not, but I suppose it's worth mentioning since more than one person has found this Glitch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Table of Contents: Use Ctrl + F to skip Chapters with ease by typing in the 5 Lettered words in the brackets next to each Chapter listing in the search box. [CLOSE] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Introduction [INTRO] Hello and welcome to my second FAQ/Guide. This Guide covers the numerous Quests you can receive throughout this Game. Again, keep in mind that this is not a full walkthrough, but merely a small Guide to help you out in knowing where you can find these Quests and how to complete them. It should also be noted to all you completists out there, that you'll have to play through this Game no less then 3 times to get every last collectible in this massive Game. Also note that this Guide contains massive spoilers so read on at your own risk. In each Chapter, which covers a major Location in the Game, Quests and their descriptions are split into several parts: The Quest, where you recieve it, who gives it to you, how to complete it, and, if applicable, how the Quest is failed or when it expires. Quests, whether completed or failed, yield tons of different results throughout this Game. There are over 100 or so Quests and this Guide will cover them in the order they're recieved. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2) Dark Beauty Castle 1 [DKBC1] Your first trip to Dark Beauty Castle serves as a tutorial to the Game's controls. However, you do recieve a couple of Quests here. The first you can complete now, the other can't be completed until the end of the Game. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Escape Dark Beauty Castle Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: The Mad Doctor's Lab To Complete: To complete this Quest, you need to reach the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" 2-D Stage whose Projector Screen is in the Castle Entrance Area. Effect: None. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Return Home Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Mickey and the Beanstalk 2-D Stage To Complete: Destroy the 4 Bloticles in the final area of the Game and retrieve Mickey's Heart. Effect: Game is beaten, final Movie plays, and Credits roll. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3) Gremlin Village [GMVLG] Your tour through Gremlin Village is a long one filled with a load of Quests for you to partake in. Through the maintenance tunnels of Slalom, to the various Boat Rides, and finally a showdown with the Mad Clock Tower, you'll be kept busy in this place. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Patch Steam Pipes Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Slalom To Complete: Along the corridors of Slalom leading to the Splatter Blotling ambush are 4 Steam Pipes which have come undone. Fix all 4 by patching them with Paint. To Fail: Ignore the 4 Steam Pipes and just head towards the Splatter ambush. Effect: If you complete the Quest, Gremlin Tiestow will open a secret passage that holds the "Tunnels" Extra Content Page after you dispatch the 2 Splatters you fight. If you failed, Steam Pipes will go on and off attempting to bar your access to the Ticket Booth Area. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Ticket Booth (Part 1) Given By: Gremlin Tim Area Received: Ticket Booth To Complete: Either defeat or befriend the Blotlings harrassing Gremlin Tim. Effect: You'll recieve your first Guardian based off of how much Paint or Thinner you used against the Blotlings. Talk to Gremlin Tim afterwards to open up the second part of the Quest. You can also access the Jungle Boat Ride Area after completing the first part of this Quest + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Ticket Booth (Part 2) Given By: Gremlin Tim Area Received: Ticket Booth To Complete: Talk to Gremlin Tim after this Quest's first part and he'll ask you to find his Wrench. Go to the Tea Cup Ride and Thin out the Cups to find the Wrench. Take the Wrench to Tim who's waiting by the Elephant Ride. To Expire: This is one of many Quests which are Optional. Head towards the Jungle Boat Ride if you wish to skip this Quest. Effect: By helping Tim, the Elephant Ride becomes operational again and you can access the third part of this Quest. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Ticket Booth (Part 3) Given By: Gremlin Tim Area Received: Ticket Booth To Complete: After you complete the first 2 parts of this Quest, Gremlin Tim asks for help in fixing the Tea Cup Ride. Use the Elephant Ride to reach the Tent. From the Tent, follow the path you come across which includes Gear Platforms you can paint and Thin out in order to cross. Once outside again, head into the Maintenance Room you come across. Patch the 2 broken Steam Pipes inside with Paint and fill the Paint/Thinner Pump with either Paint or Thinner. To Expire: Same deal. This Quest is Optional. Head for the Jungle Boat Ride to skip it. Effect: If you filled the Pump with Paint, you fix the Ride and Tim opens a secret room that holds a Chest with a Bronze Pin in it. Filling the Pump with Thinner busts the Ride, but gives access to a bustable object that holds, Paint, Thinner, and Health Refills and a Gold E-Ticket worth 100 E-Tickets. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Find Small Pete's Ship Log Given By: Small Pete Area Received: Jungle Boat Ride To Complete: Small Pete asks you to find his Ship Log and clear his name when you hit the 3 steam covered Valves in the room just before reaching the Asia Boat Ride. However, you won't be able to complete this Quest until you reach the World of Gremlins Area. Once you get the Plane and Carpet Rides working again, use the Plane Ride to reach Small Pete's Tugboat. Hit a valve neat it's helm to reveal a small nook on the boat containing a Chest with the Book in it. Show the Book to Gremlin Bennet near the area where you patched the Pipes to stop Thinner from flowing on Gus' House. To Fail: To Fail this Quest, either ignore the Book or give it to Gremlin Shaky by the Clock Tower in the same Area you found the Book in. Effect: Redeem Small Pete and he'll reveal a treasure room in the European Boat Ride's Colosseum which has the "Inky Mickey" Extra Content Page and a Chest with a Bronze Pin inside. You'll also receive the Small Pete Pin from Big Bad Pete when you visit him for the first time on Mean Street. Fewer Toon Residents will appear in the Shadow Blot at the end of the Game if you help out as well. If you choose to ignore this Quest or sell the Book to Gremlin Shaky, Small Pete sends a large group of Blotlings after you when you arrive at the Colosseum and Big Bad Pete gives you lip when you talk to him. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Navigate the Asia Boat Ride Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Asia Boat Ride To Complete: Completing this Quest is simple. Just make your way to the door that leads to the Projector Screen for the "Steamboat Willie Part 1" 2-D Stage. Effect: None. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Raise the Fire Bridge Give By: Gremlin Braun Area Received: Asia Boat Ride To Complete: When you rescue Gremlin Braun from the top of the Pagoda, he points out a series of Gear Platforms you need to reach in order to complete this Quest. Once you reach the Gears, Paint in the one on the right and use the Platform on it to reach a small ledge next to the Gears. The ledge is really a lever which raises the Fire Bridge. To Expire: The only way this Quest expires is if you used the Magic Carpet Ride restored by Gremlin Sam under the Indian-themed section of the Area to reach the door with the "Steamboat Willie Part 1" Projector Screen. Effect: None. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Save Gus' House Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: World of Gremlins To Complete: Paint in the 4 Steam Pipes pointed out by Gus, then Spin Attack the valve he points out afterwards. This turns off the Thinner wasting away Gus' House and reactivates the Carpet and Plane Rides in the Area. The Quest is complete when you Paint in Gus' House. To Expire: While you have to shut off the Thinner to move on, Painting in Gus' House is Optional. If you leave World of Gremlins before Painting the House, the Quest expires. Effect: If you did Paint in Gus' House, Gus repairs the Windmill. By riding the Windmill, you can reach Gremlin Ditto who opens up the Projector Screen to the "Clock Cleaners Part 2" Projector Screen which drops you off halfway through the European Boat Ride Area. If you skipped Gus' House, nothing happens. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Open The Gate Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: World of Gremlins To Complete: Once you find your way to the Clock Tower in World of Gremlins via the Clock Cleaners Part 1 2-D Stage, you'll find a Paint/Thinner Pump that needs filled. Fill it with you Magic Brush projectile of your choice to gain access to the "Steamboat Willie Part 2" Projector Screen. Effect: If you filled the Pump with Paint, the Gate Door stays open without a hitch. A secret hatch also opens near the elevator atop the Clock Tower that holds a Gold E-Ticket worth 100 E-Tickets. If you filled the Pump with Thinner, the secret hatch doesn't open and the Gate Door opens and closes in regular intervals making it harder to reach the "Steamboat Willie Part 2" Projector Screen. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: The Leaning Tower Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: European Boat Ride To Complete: There are a few ways to accomplish this Quest. The super-easy way is to use the shortcut to the European Boat Ride opened by Gremlin Ditto in World of Gremlins' Windmill. If you didn't take the shortcut, you have 2 options. The first option is pointed out by Gus. Spin Attack both of the smallest pillars that are farthest away from the Leaning Tower. This causes a dominoe effect that knocks the Tower down making a bridge to the Parisian Tower. The less descrutive way is to climb the pillars up to the Tower itself and Spin Attack a valve that shuts off the whirlpools allowing you to use the Boats to reach the Parisian Tower. Effect: None. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Reach the Clock Tower Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: European Boat Ride To Complete: To finish this Quest, you need to get to the "Steamboat Willie Part 3" Projector Screen in the European Boat Ride's Colosseum and complete the 2-D Stage so you can reach the Mad Clock Tower Boss. Effect: None. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Get inside the Colosseum Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: European Boat Ride To Complete: There are 2 ways to reach the Colosseum and complete this Quest. The easy, but destructive way is to use the Gear Platforms and Cloud Platforms to reach the Parisian Tower's upper levels. Gus will point out some of the support beams are actually Toon objects. Thin out those beams to topple the Tower, thus making a bridge to the Colosseum's lower entrance. To hard way is to use the Gear Platforms and Cloud Platforms around the Area to reach the upper entrance. If you take the hard route though, you can find a Chest with a Silver Pin. Effect: What happens in the Colosseum is detemined by whether or not you helped Small Pete with the Quest he gave you or not. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Clock Tower Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Clock Tower To Complete: This Quest is actually a Boss Battle. Use Paint to befriend the Mad Clock Tower or use Thinner to dismantle it. For stradegies on dealing with the Clock Tower, refer to my "Junction Points" Guide here on GameFAQs. Effect: If you used Paint, you receive the Stop the Music Pin and a Paint Capacity Upgrade from Gus. If you used Thinner, you get the Unwind the Clock Pin and a Thinner Capacity Upgrade from Gus. Your decision also effects the Game's Ending, how the BG Music sounds on Mean Street, and what demeanor the NPC's have when you talk to them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4) Mean Street 1 [MNST1] Your first visit to Mean Street will defintely not be your last. Think of Mean Street and it's neighboring Location, OsTown, as the Game's Hub. You'll always find new Quests and troubles all over the place here, so be sure to visit after returning from major Locations. It should be noted that because Mean Street has no branching Areas, the "Area Received" sections of the Quests found on Mean Street refer to buildings or places on Mean Street. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: OsTown Projector Screen Given By: Gremlin Markus Area Received: Near the Train Station To Complete: Gremlin Markus needs 2 Gears and 2 Power Sparks to get the "Thru The Mirror" Projector Screen leading to OsTown working again. Talk to Gilda near the Fire Station after talking to Big Bad Pete and complete her Race around Mean Street to pick up the first Gear. Complete Horace Horsecollar's "Recover Horace's Book" Quest to grab the second one. Talk to Markus at the Penny Arcade to start the hunt for Power Sparks. Complete the "Find Casey's Key" and "Museum Power Spark" Quests to get the Power Sparks you need and talk to Markus again to get the Projector Screen working. Effect: You'll be able to travel to OsTown after completing this Quest. Markus will also pay you some E-Tickets for your efforts. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Gilda's Lost Axe Given By: Gilda Area Received: Outside the Fire Station To Complete: In the Mt. Osmore Slopes Area of Mickeyjunk Mountain, Thin out a giant gloved hand to gain access to several platforms leading to an area behind the slopes. Paint in a TV you find to raise some platforms from the Thinner. After you reach the other end of the Thinner pool, Paint in an Anvil hanging from a giant Lever to gain access to the Shack where Gilda's Axe is. Give it back to Gilda when you see her next. To Expire: Don't pick up the Axe before finishing up in Mickeyjunk Mountain and this Quest will Expire. To Fail: In Oswald's Throne Room where the Ace of Spades puts you through the 3 Tests, Thin out the floor with Oswald's picture to find a secret area. Use Gilda's Axe to access the area past the metal doors to find some rare Pins. Doing this however breaks the Axe and results in a failure for this Quest. Effect: If you Fail or the Quest Expires, you get nothing. If you return the Axe, Gilda will give you a Power Spark. It should be noted however that there is a glitch in the Game that allows you to complete the Quest AND get those rare Pins too. Try the secret area when you return to that Throne Room after finding all the Rocket Parts from Tomorrow City, Pirates of the Wasteland, and Lonesome Manor. Thank GameFAQs user JusticeLeaguer8 for this useful tidbit. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Recover Horace's Book Given By: Horace Horsecollar Area Received: Inside Horace's Detective Agency To Complete: Horace will happily give you the Gear you need for the "OsTown Projector Screen" Quest if you get his Book back. He loaned it to Casey at the Mean Street Emporium. Talk to Casey and he tells you he lent it to Paulie at the Ice Cream Shop. Talk to Paulie to get the Book and take it back to Horace. Effect: For returning his Book, Horace gives you the Gear you need. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Collect Film Reels Given By: The Usher Area Received: Outside the Cinema To Complete: The Usher wants any Film Reels that you collect throughout the 2-D Stages in Wasteland. It should be noted that you won't be able to finish this Quest until your third playthrough as 2 of the Reels must be obtained during the second playthrough and 1 of those 2 are collected close to the end of the Game when you can't revisit Mean Street anymore. Effect: The Usher gives you rewards depending on how many Reels you've collected. You can only get each reward once per Save File no matter how many playthroughs you do on the same Save File. Here's what you'll get: Reels | Reward -------|-------------------------------------------- 2 | E-Tickets 4 | Bronze Pin 6 | "Oh, What a Knight" Cartoon for your Extras 8 | Power Spark 10 | E-Ticket Wallet Upgrade 12 | Silver Pin 14 | "The Mad Doctor" Cartoon for your Extras 16 | TV Sketch Capacity Upgrade 18 | Gold Pin 22 | Watch Sketch Capacity Upgrade 26 | Anvil Sketch Capacity Upgrade 28 | Health Pip Capacity Upgrade 30 | "Blot Mirror" Extra Content Page 32 | E-Ticket Wallet Maximum Upgrade 36 | +50 Capacity Upgrade for all Sketch Types | and the Cartoon Buff Pin + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Find Casey's Key Given By: Casey Area Received: Inside the Mean Street Emporium To Complete: Casey wants his back room key found and returned. Go to the alley between the Emporium and the Ice Cream Shop and Thin out a Toon Manhole to find the Key. Give the Key back to Casey to complete this Quest. Effect: Casey hands you a Power Spark as thanks. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Museum Power Spark Given By: Laralee Area Received: Inside the Museum To Complete: Laralee will trade you her Power Spark if you find her something to replace it with that's more interesting. Talk to The Usher by the Cinema. He'll give you a Cutlass left at the Cinema by Captain Hook. Take the Cutlass back to the Museum and give it to Laralee. Effect: Laralee trades you the Power Spark for the Cutlass. You'll also pick up the Swashbuckler Pin when you get the Cutlass from the Usher. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5) OsTown 1 [OSTN1] Like Mean Street, you'll visit OsTown frequently. However, unlike Mean Street, few Quests pop up in OsTown when you revisit after completing major Locations. You'll mostly back-track here to complete Quests you recieve from other Locations. As with Mean Street, OsTown doesn't have any branching Areas, so Area descriptions refer to the buildings and places around OsTown. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Bridge Repair Given By: Clarabelle Cow Area Received: Outside Clarabelle's House To Complete: When you first talk with Clarabelle Cow, she's tells you that the Bridge to Mickeyjunk Mountain is out. To fix it and move on to the next area, complete the "Noisy Safe" Quest to release Gremlin Prescott. Afterwards, give Prescott his Wrench back when you complete the "Gremlin Prescott's Wrench" Quest, and he'll repair the Bridge. Effect: With the Bridge repaired, you can access the "Mickey's Steamroller" Projector Screen that leads to Mickeyjunk Mountain. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Noisy Safe Given By: Clarabelle Cow Area Received: Outside Clarabelle's House To Complete: You receive this Quest alongside the "Bridge Repair" Quest when you first talk to Clarabelle. There are 2 ways to complete this Quest. The first way is to complete the "Paint Moody's House" Quest and use the combination Moody gives you to free Gremlin Prescott from the Safe hanging from the Gag Factory when you jump onto the Factory's awning. The second way involves Thinning the post the Safe hangs from to release Prescott. If you do this however, any Moody Quests will be inaccessible for the rest of the Game. Effect: By releasing Prescott, you'll get the "Gremlin Prescott's Wrench" that you need to complete to finish the "Bridge Repair" Quest. If you helped Moody, you also get a Movie for your extras showing Mickey getting beaned by the Safe door after opening it. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Paint Moody's House Given By: Moody Area Received: Near the Gag Factory To Complete: Moody has been seeking shelter under the Safe hanging from the Gag Factory because his House is Thinned out. His House is to the right of Mickey's House. Paint in every last nook and cranny of the House and report back to Moody when you're done. To Fail: The only way you Fail this Quest is if you drop the Safe on Moody after he gives you the Quest. Effect: If you completed this Quest, Moody gives you the combination to the Safe that hangs from the Gag Factory. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Gremlin Prescott's Wrench Given By: Gremlin Prescott Area Received: Near the Gag Factory To Complete: When Prescott is released from the Safe, he'll agree to fix the Bridge to Mickeyjunk Mountain if you can get his Wrench back from the Telephone in Mickey's House. Now there's 2 ways to get that Wrench. The first way is to help the Telephone and complete the "OsTown Telephone Network" Quest. The other way presents itself when you leave Mickey's House after talking to the Telephone. Prescott will ask if he can enter Mickey's House. If you say Yes, he'll dismantle the Telephone and take back his Wrench. Effect: Once you return Prescott's Wrench, Prescott will repair the Bridge to Mickeyjunk Mountain. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: OsTown Phone Network Give By: Telephone Area Received: Inside Mickey's House To Complete: If you decide to help the Telephone as described in the "Gremlin Prescott's Wrench" Quest, then you need to Paint in 3 Power Boxes so the Telephone can reconnect with OsTown's Phone Network. To first Box is under Clarabelle's garden. Thin out the garden to reach it. The second is on the Gag Factory's roof. The final Box is on the wall to the left of the Gag Factory. Thin out the section covered in thick ivy to find it. Once all 3 Boxes are Painted, have a word with the Telephone. To Fail: If you let Gremlin Prescott dismantle the Telephone as mentioned in the "Gremlin Prescott's Wrench" Quest, you fail this Quest. Effect: The Telephone will fork over Prescott's Wrench and a Bronze Pin if you restore the Power Boxes. It'll also give you the "Mickeyjunk Mountain Phone Network" Quest that you can complete later on. If you failed however, check inside Mickey's House to find a Gear that starts the "Found: One Gear" Quest. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Mickeyjunk Mountain Phone Network Given By: Telephone Area Received: Inside Mickey's House To Complete: After you complete the "OsTown Phone Network" Quest, you get this Quest from the Telephone in Mickey's House. It wants to extend it's network to Mickeyjunk Mountain. To do this, dial 726 on the Mickey Phone either in The Heaps Area of Mickeyjunk or The Piles Area around where you freed Gremlin Ronald. When the connection is completed, the Telephone will tell you to visit it when you return to OsTown. Do just that after returning from the Mountain. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you don't dial 726 on either of the Mickey Phones on Mickeyjunk Mountain. Effect: The Telephone gives you a Power Spark if you reconnect it to Mickeyjunk. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Found: One Gear Given By: Laralee Area Received; Inside Mickey's House To Complete: All though Laralee appears as the giver of this Quest, in actuallity, you receive this Quest when you grab the Gear in Mickey's House that appears if you let Gremlin Prescott dismantle the Telephone. Take the Gear to Laralee at the Museum on Mean Street. To Expire: This Quest only expires if you reach the part of the Game where you can no longer revisit Mean Street. Effect: Deliver the Gear to Laralee at Mean Street's Museum to get a Power Spark. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Ice Cream Cake Given By: Clarabelle Cow Area Received: Outside Clarabelle's House To Complete: Clarabelle wants to try making an Ice Cream Cake for Horace Horsecollar's Birthday. She can do that if you bring her some Ice Cream. Buy some from Paulie's Ice Cream Shop on Mean Street for 100 E-Tickets and give it to Clarabelle. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you head to Mickeyjunk Mountain without giving Clarabelle the Ice Cream she needs. Effect: If you gave Clarabelle the Ice Cream, you'll be able to access the "Deliver the Cake to Horace" Quest when you return from Mickeyjunk Mountain. The Quest ultimately scores you 2 rare Pins. If the Quest expired, you'll get the "Deliver the Pie to Horace" Quest instead which yields only 1 rare Pin. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Thin the Gag Factory Given By: Abner Area Received: Outside the Gag Factory To Complete: Abner wants people to know that the Gag Factory is closed, but it's bright colors keep confusing people into thinking that's it's still open. Thin every last bit of Paint on the Factory, while being careful not to Thin the post with the Safe on it if you're trying to help Moody, then talk with Abner. To Expire: This Quest only expires if you reach the part of the Game where you can no longer revisit OsTown. Effect: When you've Thinned every last bit of Paint on the Factory, Abner will give you a Power Spark for your help. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Find Goofy's Parts Given By: Animatronic Goofy Area Received: Near the Fountain To Complete: Animatronic Goofy was busted up by the Mad Doctor and his parts were spread all over Tomorrow City. Goofy has 4 Parts you need to collect (You'll notice that these instructions were copied from my "Junction Points" Guide): A) Goofy's Right Leg: You'll find Goofy's first part in the Notilus area. You'll find it in a blue Chest behind a Toon wall that needs to be Thinned out near the first crane. To shut it down, you need to find and fill 4 Paint/Thinner Pumps around Skull Island with all Paint or all Thinner, not both. Borrowing from my "Junction Points" Guide again, here's where to find all 4 Pumps: A) Pump 1: To reach the first Pump, first head towards the sandy beach at the front of the Island. From there, find large steps carved into the Island and climb them. Now hop over to a nearby ledge to find the Pump. Be wary of a Sweeper Blotling that guards the Pump. B) Pump 2: From Pump 1, head up the nearby walkway and jump onto a nearby ledge to find the second Pump. C) Pump 3: Find your way to the pier with the metal sheds. The third Pump lies just past the sheds themselves. D) Pump 4: Follow the walkways around the Island which are patrolled by Splatter Blotlings. Use Thinner to eliminate Toon walls and barriers blocking your way. The last Pump is at the end of this walkway. Once all the Pumps are filled, the Quest is completed. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you head to the Jolly Roger Area thus ignoring the Quest completely. Effect: Several things happen depending on your decisions. First, if you filled all the Pumps with Paint, the Machine not only shuts down, the Thinner near the Machine drains allowing you to access a Chest with the Pirate Friend Pin. Filling with Thinner also shuts it down, but some sections of the Area start to flood a bit from the Thinner. Either of these decisions will allow the Pirates in Ventureland to return to Tortooga. Smee will also give you Animatronic Daisy's Left Arm when you return to Ventureland. However, they will stay in Ventureland if you ignored the Machine. Smee will also keep the last part of Daisy (which you'll have to buy at Tiki Sam's Tiki Shop) if you ignored the Machine or filled the Pumps with combinations of both Paint and Thinner. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Save the Sprite Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Jolly Roger To Complete: Another Boss Battle. First off, talk with Ian on the small islet near the docks attached to Bog Easy Square to pick up this Quest. Ian the ghost is looking for a Book that escaped from Madame Leona's Library in Lonesome Manor. You'll find the Book in the abandoned Bog Easy Emporium (The Buidling in the Square near where Animatronic Donald is). Take it to Ian and he asks you to deliver to Leona. When you reach Leona, give the Book to her. Have a talk with Ian when you return to Bog Easy Square later on. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you didn't grab the Book before heading to Lonesome Manor. Animatronic Donald Area Received: Near the Bog Easy Emporium To Complete: Before you head out to Lonesome Manor, talk with Animatronic Donald who's in a glass case near the closed Bog Easy Emporium. Like his robotic friends, Donald needs you to find 4 of his parts to repair him. Borrowing from my "Junction Points" Guide again, here's where to find the parts: A) Donald's Left Leg: In the Library Area, head to the Library's Lobby, then face the area's entrance. In one of the corners close to where you are is a Toon wall near some bookshelves. Thin it out to find a secret room with a blue Chest containing Donald's first part. B) Donald's Arm: In the Ballroom area, you come across a balcony near the organ pipes. Jump to that balcony. As you explore the balcony, you'll come across a gap. On the other side is a blue Chest. Jump to the Chest and open it to get Donald's Arm. C) Donald's Right Leg Donald's third part can be found in the Mad Doctor's Attic. Luckily, it's in an area of the place that not even the Doc's Beetleworx can get to. First, Paint the large trunk near the trolley tracks. Jump atop it and onto a trolley track hanging from the ceiling. From the track, jump to the pipes and then from there, on to the rafters above the pipes. Navigate the rafters until you find a blue Chest with Donald's Right Leg in it. D) Donald's Torso: This last part will be given to you from the ghosts if you repaired the Organ in the Ballroom Area, otherwise you'll have to buy it from the Bog Easy Emporium once you help Bertrand reopen it. If you didn't get all of Donald's parts, you can still buy them, but only if you help Bertrand. Talk with Bertrand. He wants to reopen his shop. Find the Shop Sign he needs behind Louis' Lonely Shack and give it to Bertrand. Afterwards, Bertrand will open for business in the Bog Easy Emporium and will sell any parts you missed for 1000 E-Tickets a pop. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you get to a point in the Game where you can't revisit Bog Easy. Effect: Helping Donald get reassembled nets you the Animatronic Donald Pin. You'll also be able to access 2 new Quests (only 1 if you squashed Moody with the safe in OsTown). To help the ghosts, complete the "Play the Pipe Organ" Quest the Pipe Organ gives you to calm it down. After you return to Bog Easy, the ghosts will talk with you about the Organ. To Fail: You Fail this Quest if you Failed the "Play the Pipe Organ" Quest or you chose to ignore the Organ all together. Effect: Completing this Quest sends the ghosts home to Lonesome Manor. Failing makes the ghosts stay in Bog Easy. Quests available to you after Lonesome Manor differ depending on your performance with this Quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 17) Lonesome Manor [LNSMR] Lonesome Manor is the home of everything creepy, crawly, and scary that resides in Wasteland. First, deal with the Hopper Beetleworx in the Area by Thinning out the red eyes of the 2 Beetleworx Generators so they won't make any more when you bust the Hoppers apart. Now, drop an Anvil Sketch on top of one of the Anvil Switches in the room with the cell. Stand on the other one and the cell will open. Spin Attack the vase to release Screeching Sam. Sam directs your attention to 2 Skulls on the walls on either side of the Area which are guarded by Spladooshes. Either deal with the Spladooshes and Paint in the Skulls or Paint them from the upper levels of the Area. Report to Sam when you're done. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you release Gremlin Haig and use the Anvil Switch he fixes to get to the Stretching Room's Projector Screen. Effect: Help Sam and he permantly opens the gate barring your access to the Stretching Room's Projector Screen. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Match the Paintings Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Stretching Room To Complete: To move on to the Library, you need to fix the Guardian Paintings in the room by Spin Attacking their sections and lining up the Paintings' sections in the correct order. The room rises and falls depending on which gears are Painted or Thinned in the center of the room when you Spin Attack the Gear between them. If the 2 transparent Gears are Thinned, you'll reach the bottom of the room. If one Gear is Painted, you reach the room's mid-section. If both of the Gears are Painted, you reach the top of the room. An easier way to do this is to raise the room to the mid-section. Head towards the Painting of the man standing on the TNT barrel and Thin out the Painting. Head inside the Painting and Spin Attack the Gear in it until you find a small aclove with a cage with Gremlin Sydney inside. Break him loose and he'll fix the Paintings for you. Effect: Once all the Guardian Paintings are fixed, you can gain access to the Library's Projector Screen. To calm them down, you need to find 3 Skulls and Paint them in. The first one is in front of the staircase leading to Leona. The second one is in the room full of Thinner that's hidden behind a Toon wall at the end of the section with the bookshelves that try to smash you into the railing. The final one is actually hidden. To reveal it, get to the Toon wall past the bookshelves that try to push you off of the second level of the Area. Thin out the wall to reveal a Anvil Switch. Step on it to temporarily reveal the Skull and make the bookshelves drop for 10 seconds. Quickly run to the Skull and Paint it. Use a Watch Sketch if you're having trouble. When all 3 Skulls are Painted, go talk to Leona. Effect: Painting all 3 Skulls to calm the bookshelves makes Leona open the way to the Ballroom's Projector Screen, but also releases a Slobber! However, if you completed the "Catch the Flying Books" and the "Restore Leona's Paintings" Quests, Leona melts the Slobber for you! + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Catch the Flying Books Given By: Madame Leona Area Received: Library To Complete: This is 1 of 3 Quests Madame Leona gives you when you first talk to her. The second one floats near the Toon wall that hides the Anvil Switch used to reach the third Skull from the previous Quest shown above. The third Book floats around the room filled with Thinner. The final 3 float around the rafters in the upper levels of the Area. An easier way to do this is to rescue Gremlin Jumbo in the room filled with Thinner and pay him 50 E-Tickets to nab the Books for you. Once you have all 6, chat with Leona. Of particular note is that Leona will be a bit peeved at you if you hit any of the Books with Thinner. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you head to the Ballroom Area without completing this Quest. Hit the Keys on it's Keyboard that have a Music Note appear above them in a timely manner. Hit 8 Keys to satisify the Pipe Organ. Use a Watch Sketch if you're having problems with timing. To Fail: If you Thin out enough of the Keyboard Keys, the Organ breaks down, gets mad, and releases Tanker Beetleworx from Generators behind the Toon walls around the ground level of the Area. Thin out the Generators' red eyes or hit the 2 Anvil Switches with Anvil Sketches or a combination of the two to get the tables to float so you can reach the balcony on the upper level. To Expire: This Quest Expires if you managed to get to the Attic Area's Projector Screen before completing this Quest. Effect: If you completed this Quest, you get the Play a Tune Pin from the Organ. The ghosts in Bog Easy will also return to Lonesome Manor as well. Hop around the islets in the swamp as you spray the Bloticles which wrap around the areas of the Steamboat, Bog Easy Square, and Louis' Lonely Shack. Effect: After you wipe out the Bloticles here, head back to Mean Street. With the Bloticles gone, you can access Tomorrow City's Projector Screen. Before you head to Tomorrow City though, be sure to grab the No More Bloticles Pin that hovers in front of Tomorrow City's Projector Screen. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + E) Tomorrow City 2 [TMCY2] Quest: Battle in Tomorrow City Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Tomorrow Square To Complete: Before heading to Tomorrow City's Tomorrow Square Area, be sure to finish up any lingering Quests on Mean Street, OsTown, Ventureland, or Bog Easy. Once you head to Tomorrow City, you won't be able to revisit those Locations again for the rest of the Game. Once you arrive in Tomorrow Square, you'll see that 3 Bloticles have blocked access to the Space Voyage Area's Projector Screen. Each Bloticle is close to 1 of the 3 TV Panels around the Area. Blotlings stick to ground level so ignore them and stay on the high road. If Sweepers guard the platforms with TV Panels, Spin Attack them to knock them to the ground level. Stay on the high road and blast the Bloticles while avoiding the electric surges that travel down the People Mover's track. Effect: Once all 3 Bloticles are eliminated, you can access the Projector Screen to the Space Voyage Area. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Battle in Space Voyage Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: Space Voyage To Complete: Your next trip in Tomorrow City is also your last bout with the Bloticles... for now. Space Voyage is being choked by 3 Bloticles. One of them is wrapped around the elevator leading to the Rocket. The other 2 are next to the 2 Beetleworx Generators. Try to ignore the Bashers, Tankers, and Splatters guarding the Area and focus on the Bloticles. Only battle if the Beetleworx or Blotlings are in your way. Effect: Once all 3 Bloticles are gone, you'll automatically board the elevator to the Rocket and blast off to face the Shadow Blot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 22) Dark Beauty Castle 2 [DKBC2] When the rocket fails to hit it's mark, the Shadow Blot, it crash lands into Dark Beauty Castle. There are a few Quests you receive here and they all pertain to defeating the Blot and getting Mickey's Heart back. Don't give up now, you're almost home! + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Meet Oswald in the Control Tower Given By: Gremlin Gus Area Received: The Mad Doctor's Lab To Complete: When you wake up after your crash landing into Dark Beauty Castle, Gus tells you that Oswald wants to see you in the Fireworks Control Tower Area. To complete this Quest, repair the Thinner Pump in the Mad Doc' Lab so you can access the Throne Room. Solve the Throne Room Area's puzzles afterwards to gain access to your targeted destination. Effect: Oswald reveals what you need to do next when you speak with him. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Defeat the Blot (Part 1) Given By: Oswald Area Received: Fireworks Control Tower To Complete: When you finally talk with Oswald in the Fireworks Control Tower, he lets you in on his plan to stop the Blot...Blow it up with Fireworks! To do this however, he needs you to travel to the Sorrow Tower, Grief Tower, and Loss Tower Areas and activate the Gem stones atop each Tower to prep the Fireworks for launch. Once you've done that and return to the Fireworks Control Tower you complete the first part of this Quest. Effect: After completing the first part of this Quest, you can access the second part inside the Shadow Blot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 23) Inside the Blot [INBLT] The final Location in the Game is inside the Shadow Blot itself. While Gus replaces the batteries in the fireworks controller, the Blot snatches him and Oswald and traps them inside of it. Mickey dives in after them to rescue them and get his Heart back. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + Quest: Defeat the Blot (Part 2) Given By: Oswald Area Received: Just as your enter The Blot. To Complete: To complete the final Quest in the Game, you need to dislodge Mickey's Heart from the Blot by destroying the 4 Bloticles that surround the Blot's insides. The first 3 Chambers you visit work in a pattern in terms of enemies. The first chamber is the one with Mickey's Heart and is guarded by Blotlings. The second is full of tentacles that come through the walls. The final is filled with the essences of melted Toon residents who try to attack you, but can't be defeated unless you destroy Bloticle in the Chamber in question. When you return to the Heart Chamber, several new Blotlings arrive who must be defeated to access the next Bloticle. Once the first 3 are destroyed, the fourth Bloticle becomes vulnerable. All it's weak points are in the Heart Chamber, but an endless supply of Splatters, Sweepers, and Slobbers will try to stop you. Befriend them or dodge them while using TV Sketches to distract them as you destroy the final Bloticle. Use Watch Sketches to try to pass the Blotlings easier. Effect: Once the final Bloticle is destroyed, you beat the Game and the Ending and the Credits roll. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 24) FAQ [FAQ] Q: What was up with all the updates with your previous Guide for this Game? A: While gathering info for this Guide and the Collectibles Guide I'm typing up, I did notice several mistakes I made in terms of info I provided. These mistakes have been fixed. If anyone finds anymore, please e-mail me (My address is typed at the header of this Guide) and I'll fix the mistakes ASAP. Do not e-mail for spelling or grammar mistakes unless it's a huge one that renders the info illegible. Q: I died after collecting an Item for a Quest! Do I still have it? A: In the Pause Menu, check your Quest Log. Any Items pertaining to a specific Quest appear at the bottom of the info card. For example, if you collected say, Goofy's Arm, a '1' will appear next to the Item counter for that Item. If it's '0,' then you will have to collect that Item again. Q: I've heard about a Glitch that allows you skip the Shadow Blot battle on Mickeyjunk Mountain and go straight to the "Battle of Mean Street" Quest. Does it exist? A: Yes. I actually got hit with it twice during my playthroughs. Some people have made Threads about it on GameFAQs Message Boards. I think the Glitch occurs if the Pirates are still in Ventureland, the ghosts have left Bog Easy, you've taken up Louis' "Restore the Bell" Quest, bought the first Bell piece from the Mean Street Emporium, went to Ventureland, bought the second Bell piece from the Tiki Hut, and try to return to Mean Street. Don't Quote me on that though. That's only my opinion. If you do get the Glitch, don't try to return to OsTown or the Game freezes up. Q: Some of info in this Guide is similar to what I saw in your Junction Points Guide. Even info that wasn't pointed out as such. What gives? A: Why type it again when it's my work? If it were someone else's work, I would have to type up my own words. However, the Junction Points Guide is my own work, so to save time, I just copied and pasted. I did edit a few things based off of new info discovered. Q: You explained the Mickey Icon that appears on your Save File in the last Guide. What's the Oswald Icon for? A: I'm not sure. I have it too, but I don't know if it's there because you beat the Game on the same Save File twice or if it's because you collected all 36 Film Reels from the 2-D Stages. Q: You're still being vague with some of the info. A: Please remember, this isn't a full walkthrough, merely a helping hand in Guiding you in the right direction. If you need a Paint Path walkthrough, check kymtendo's walkthrough. If you need a Thinner Path walkthrough, check psychogurl's walkthrough. Q: I'm having trouble finding the Quest I need to complete in your Guide. I don't want to scroll through the whole Guide to find it. How do I find it faster? A: Hit Ctrl + F (As stated in the Table of Contents). The Quests names are typed as they appear in the Game so type the Quest name the same way and hit the Search Button. Q: The Character shown in the Quest info card is different from the one you typed. What's up? A: The "Given By" info pertains to the Character who originally gives you the Quest. As the Quest is updated, newer Characters may add on to the Quest in which case the Character info is changed. For example, if Gus gives you a Quest, but Oswald adds on to it, Oswald's name appears on the info card instead of Gus'. Q: I can't find the Area you described. A: In the Pause Menu, check your In-Game Map. The Area Name appears in the upper-left corner of the Map. Q: One last Question. Does it matter how many Quests I complete? A: No. You could complete 100 Quests and it wouldn't make a difference. What Quests you complete are what matters. Some Quests can change the Game's Enidng, some dictate where you can and can't go, some dictate what future Quests are available to you, and others reveal special Items like Pins and Extra Content Pages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 25) In Closing... [CLOSE] Well, my second Guide is officially wrapped up. I hope it was informative and helpful to you. I would like to extend a special thanks to JusticeLeaguer8 for finding the Gilda's Axe Glitch. I would also like to thank RJ Eng and ShadwSonic for informing me about the Pete Pan Sprite Glitch, even though I was a bit late in adding it. To the rest of you, enjoy the Game and see you again in the Collectibles Guide which should be out soon. --Bill--
