Using this guide | =============================================================================== First and perhaps most importantly, I'd like to mention that this guide was NOT written to walk one through this WiiWare title. The game was made to challenge your way of thinking and puzzle you - so using this guide for the whole game will ruin the experience. That said, I understand that there are some tough puzzles in this game, and if you get stuck on a particular level - AFTER some trial & error - you may want some help. This guide is here to give that assistance; not to hold your hand through the game. Now that's out the way... I'd just like to introduce a few usage tips to help you use the guide efficiently - because I know you don't want to have to read through a large wall of text to find the solution to one puzzle. In the contents table above, you will see a name and a search code. If you are looking for help with one particular section, hold 'ctrl' and press 'f' and type in the 'Search Code' which corresponds with the section you want. This will automatically take you to the right section... how convenient! This differs from many traditional walkthroughs as it doesn't offer information in the same order things appear in-game. Puzzles will be written in numerical order, row by row as they appear in the game after all puzzles have been completed. For example... 1 5 7 8 2 4 6 3 This may be the order certain stages are played in-game, but for convenience's sake I'll list them like this: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 In any event I've made sure to use each level's name, so use that if you're still not sure. You may use the guide in any way you'd like: read it from the page you found this guide at or print it off. What you may not do is use this guide as your own. With that out of the way, let's get on with it! =============================================================================== | [ITRD] 2. Introduction | =============================================================================== Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH is a game released for WiiWare at the end of 2009. The game revolves around two unique game modes: - Getting all the cubes of different colours from Point A to Point B using different 'pieces' which control the direction each cube moves in. This sounds like an easy task but clever level design make it not only challenging, but also very fun. - A basic Rubik's Cube mode. This will teach you how to complete any 3x3 Rubik's Cube and will allow you to see how quickly you can complete one on screen. There are online leaderboards for this, plotting the Rubik's Cube in a truly competitive game mode. While you may be thinking that such game would be easy, let me warn you now.. This game will challenge your way of thinking and offer a unique puzzle experience yet to be seen on the WiiWare service. Published by Two Tribes, this game is both tricky and rewarding as clever puzzles and level design push your brain to its limits. At only 600 Wii Points, the game is a steal, offering over seventy puzzles and plenty of replay-value for both Rubik's Cube enthusiasts and normal gamers alike. =============================================================================== | [PLTG] 3. Playing the game | =============================================================================== The concept is great yet is much harder than it sounds. In the RUSH section of the game, your goal is to stop cubes bumping into each other and get them to enter exit points of the same colour. You must reset the stage when a cube runs into another, or falls off the stage into the abyss. To get each cube into the right place, you'll need to be crafty with placement of different 'signs'. These signs are as follows.. Arrow Sign: These signs will change the direction that a cube moves in. Minus Sign: A minus sign will cause a cube to slow down while it moves over it. Plus Sign: A plus sign speeds up a cube while it passes over it. Stop Sign: This sign causes cubes to stop for a short time if they move over the sign. Conveyor Sign: A conveyor will move a cube from one point to another without changing the direction that cube will travel in. For example, a cube may be moving down and go onto a left conveyor sign. The cube will move left, but when it 'hops' off the sign it will continue moving down. Split Sign: This consecutively turns blocks left and right. For example: block one will go right, block two will go left, block three will go right and so on. As well as this, you can use walls to your advantage. If a cube comes into contact with a wall, it has a natural tendency to try to turn right. If this is not possible, it will turn around and go back the way it came from. There are also teleports on some stages which will teleport a cube to the connected warp point. It is up to you, the player, to figure out which combination of the pieces available to you will get each cube to it's home safely. I wish you good luck, as this is a task often easier said than done. =============================================================================== | [CTRL] 3.1 Controls | =============================================================================== The controls in this game are rather simple. You can use either a lone Wii Remote or you can use it in combination with a Nunchuck. Either way, you have the same abilities which are as follows.. Point at the screen: Interact with the signs A Button: Pick up, put down and move signs. B Button: Remove Signs A/B/Point (similtaneously): Change the view of the field. Plus: Pause the game. Control Stick: Change the view of the field (Nunchuck/Wii Remote combo) The above controls apply to RUSH Mode, however are very much the same as Rubik's Cube mode - in which A is used to rotate pieces of the cube. =============================================================================== | [NGMN] 3.2 Navigating the Menu | =============================================================================== After selecting one of the coloured cubes to select a file, you'll be given the chance to name your profile. After doing so, you'll be able to MODIFY Settings, RENAME your profile, DELETE your profile, or START the game. Immediately after this, the only option unlocked will be Tutorial Mode, so follow that through and learn how to play the game. Once that is done, menu navigation really is simple. Click on the game mode you'd like: RUSH Easy, RUSH Medium, RUSH Hard, or Rubik's Cube Mode. We'll start with RUSH Easy.... =============================================================================== | [RSMD] 4. RUSH Mode | =============================================================================== The main mode in the game, RUSH Mode gives you over sixty puzzles with a challenging yet rewarding learning curve. You should know how to play the game if you're referring to this section of the guide.. Here I will list all of the puzzles in the game and the solutions to them. For each level, I will give you the following: - Level name - Which pieces you start with, and how many. - Where to place each block - A picture demonstrating the correct block placement. It should all be pretty easy to follow, but if you find anything unclear or confusing let me know by e-mail (mine is written at the bottom of this FAQ) and I will try to fix it up. =============================================================================== | [EZPZ] 4.1 Easy Puzzles | =============================================================================== Easy Puzzle #1 ---------------- |Cube Whirlpool| ---------------- Pieces Available: 2x Up Arrow 2x Right Arrow 2x Down Arrow 2x Left Arrow Place one up arrow two squares to the left of the blue spawn square, and the other two squares up and two squares to the left of that arrow. Place the right arrow three squares left of the green finish. Place the left arrow three squares right of the red finish. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medium Puzzle #14 -------------------- | Afterthought | -------------------- Pieces Available: 1x Down Arrow 1x Right Conveyor 1x Split Sign One square above the red start, place a split sign. One square below the green start square, place a right conveyor. One square to the right of the green start, place the down arrow. EXPLANATION: 1) Because the green cubes' direction is actually down (even after going on the conveyor), the split sign pushes it across... This is because if the green cube was actually coming downwards onto the split sign, it would be pushed left, or to the right of screen. 2) Because at the end it is two red cubes which are created, one of them as to turn left. As it's direction is left as it gets pushed back onto the split sign (from the conveyor), the split sign is supposed to push it 'right'. If the red cube was coming in from the right (meaning the direction is left), 'right' would mean pushing the cube up. Then its direction is changed to 'down', and the split sign pushes it left as normal into the red finish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medium Puzzle #15 ------------------- | Skyways | ------------------- Pieces Available: 1x Up Arrow 2x Right Arrow 1x Down Arrow 2x Left Arrow One square below the blue finish, place a left arrow. Left two squares from the end point, and then five squares down, is where the up arrow needs to be placed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These medium puzzles have actually offered considerable challenge. One thing you might not particularly want to know is that the puzzles will only get harder. The following hard puzzles will really require you to put your mind to the test.
