Bio-Chamber : The room to make biological parts. Arcanium : The room to make alchemical parts. Command Room : Enter this room to go to the Troublescope (Region Map) and send your creations out, or the Inter-Lab Link in order to battle the creatures of fellow Mad Scientists (need friend code to fight on-line). Dat-O-Saver : Save your game. Lightning Tower: Assemble a new creature or edit an existing one. It's Alive! [ML1a] Overview ******************************************************************************* For each mini-game, you will first have to assemble a key ingredient and a secondary ingredient. The key ingredient will determine what family of parts you will make (rarer key ingredients will make stronger parts). The secondary ingredient will determine the level of the part that you make and bonuses. For each key ingredient of a particular part, there is one family of secondary ingredients that will give it a bonus trait. Using any other secondary ingredient will either have no effect or it will give it a negative trait (slow, weak, fragile, etc.). Higher level secondary ingredients will also increase the difficulty level of the parts mini-game. As you increase your rank as a Mad Scientist, it will decrease the difficulty of the parts mini-game. List of all Bonus Traits (in alphabetical order) ------------------------------------------------ Accurate: Increased chance of hitting Acidic: Added damage to biological parts Celestial: Added damage to alchemical parts Disabling: Damaged parts are unable to attack Efficient: Reduced part energy costs Explosive: Splash damage to adjacent parts Grounding: Prevents enemy from recharging Legendary: Increased damage, HP, and capacity Multi-Attack: Chance of striking twice Quick: Monster always strikes first Radioactive: Added damage to mechanical parts Regenerator: Part auto-heals HP each round Slippery: Increased ability to dodge attacks Strong: Increased damage Supercharged: Increased energy capacity Tough: Increased part health [ML1B] Mechanical Parts Mini-Games ******************************************************************************* The mini-games for mechanical parts are located in the Workshop. They are unlocked as you progress through the game performing Professor Fuseless's quests. Each mini-game requires a key ingredient and a secondary ingredient. Key ingredients are different for each mini-game, but secondary ingredients are the same for all mechanical mini-games. Secondary Ingredients (Determine level and potential bonus) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Family | Level I Level II Level III Level IV ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Batteries | Gyro Battery Flux Charger Liquid Cell Neutron Reactor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Conductors | Spool of Wire Electro-Magnet Superconductor Positronic Coil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Gears | Worn Spindle Squeaky Gear Heavy Cog Greasy Sprocket ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Metals | Scrap Metal Titanium Alloy Arcadium Neutronium ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Nuts & Bolts| Bent Screw Lock Washer Hex Nut Lag Bolt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ML1B.1] Robo-Evolver ****************************************************************************** The Robo-Evolver creates mechanical heads. There are 12 different families of mechanical heads with 4 levels within each family for a total of 48 parts. Key ingredients --------------- Horned Skull, Scary Mask, Power Crystal, Floodlight, Metal Platter, Fresh Brain, Leviathan Flesh, Jumper Cables, Ancient Claw, Clown Shoes, Pumpkin, Scrap Heap Controls -------- There are 3 robots. Select the robots with the control stick (left, center, and right) and swing the wii-mote to smash them. Time ----- 110 seconds Scoring ------- You start the game with .5 points. You gain .5 points for each successful round. The goal for 100% is to get to 7.5 - 8.0 points without an unsuccessful round. If you smash the wrong robot, it will decrease your quality points and take more time off of the clock with a longer in-between round animation. Instructions ------------ At the bottom of the screen, you will see a symbol. Select the robots that do not have that symbol above their heads and smash them. In addition to having an overall time limit, you have a limited time within each round. If you smash the wrong robot or let time run out, you will lose the round. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, the number of symbols increases and the time to complete each round decreases. At difficulty level 3, some symbols will rotate clockwise. Tips ---- *Even when the overall time runs out, you still have time to complete the round. *You can pause the game (using the + button on your wii-mote) a second or two after the round starts and you will be able to see the target symbol as well as partially obstructed symbols of the center and right robot. This can help you especially on higher difficulty levels. [ML1B.2] Hyper-Chopper ******************************************************************************* The hyper-chopper creates mechanical legs. There are 10 different families of mechanical legs with 4 levels within each family for a total of 40 parts. Key ingredients --------------- Metal Platter, Gas Can, Turbine, Thick Pipe, Honeycomb, Rotary Engine, Horrid Tentacle, Ancient Claw, Clown Shoes, Scrap Heap Controls -------- Hold the wii-mote sideways with the d-pad on the left and the 1 and 2 buttons on the right. Tilt the wii-mote left and right to steer. Hold the 2 button to accelerate. Time ----- 110 seconds Scoring ------- Score quality points by riding over the green energy pads. In this mini-game, the quality points bar continuously decreases and you lose quality points by ramming into obstacles (which also slows you down) or missing a green energy pad. Instructions ------------ You are basically controlling a racing circular-saw. The screen is constantly moving once the course starts. You want to ride over the green energy pads while avoiding the obstacles. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty level increases, the rate at which the quality bar decreases continously increases. The frequency of the energy pads and obstacles also changes. Tips ---- *You can make mistakes and still get 100% until you have less than 10 seconds left depending upon how far away the next green energy pad is. *Hold the 2 button down continuously. You may need to get used to it, but it is essential for scoring quality points because the bar continously decreases. *Be happy with 99%: the only way to get 100% is to end on an energy pad. *The most difficult part is knowing where to position yourself to go in-between two obstacles. [ML1B.3] Fusion Compactor ******************************************************************************* The fusion compactor creates mechanical torsos. There are 10 different families of mechanical torsos with 4 levels within each family for a total of 40 parts. Key ingredients --------------- Floodlight, Metal Platter, Gas Can, Turbine, Caustic Juice, Thick Pipe, Jumper Cables, Rotary Engine, Ancient Claw, Clown Shoes Controls -------- Swing the wii-mote to hammer the bolts. Shake the nunchuk to skip a bolt that is already in. Time ----- 50 seconds Scoring ------- Score quality points by hammering in loose bolts. In this mini-game, the quality points bar continuously decreases and you lose quality points by hammering bolts that are not loose or skipping loose bolts. Instructions ------------ You want to quickly hammer the loose bolts in while skipping the bolts that are already in. If you wait too long, it will automatically move you to the next spot. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, the quicker the quality point bar decreases and the larger the quality point decrease for hammering a bolt that is already in. Tips ---- *Speed and accuracy are key to this game *At lower difficulties, you can make mistakes and still get 100%. *Be happy with 99%: the only way to get 100% is to end exactly on a hammered bolt. *You can see many of the surrounding bolts. If an adjacent bolt is loose, it will go to that bolt after you swing your wii-mote or shake your nunchuk unless the loose bolt is the spot that you just came from. [ML1B.4] Weld-O-Tron ******************************************************************************* The weld-o-tron creates mechanical arms. There are 20 different families of mechanical arms with 4 levels within each family for a total of 80 parts. Key ingredients --------------- Mud Bucket, Rusty Hook, Chains, Caustic Juice, Dark Seaweed, Saw Blade, Spiked Club, Metal Platter, Gas Can, Manacles, Turbine, Caustic Juice, Thick Pipe, Spiny Crab, Jumper Cables, Rotary Engine, Horrid Tentacle, Ancient Claw, Clown Shoes, Scrap Heap Controls -------- Point the wii-mote at the seam and hold the B button to weld. The gun overheats if you weld outside the seam for too long. If that happens, shake the nunchuk to fix it. Time ---- Untimed - get to the end of the seam. Scoring ------- Score quality points by filling the entire seam. Lose quality points by leaving holes. Instructions ------------ Point at the seam and fill it in by welding. The screen constantly moves to the right. It will also move up and down at certain spots. There are several unfilled holes that are not connected to the main seam so make sure you fill them in as well. The seam has some jagged edges so it is helpful to slightly move your wii-mote up and down or left and right to make sure the entire seam is filled. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, the speed at which the screen moves increases. Tips ---- *You do not have to fill the seam perfectly for 100%. *It isn't welding outside the seam that decreases quality points; however, prolonged welding outside the seam causes flaws in your welding which does decrease your quality points (so, if you hear minor blips, it won't hurt). [ML1C] Biological Parts Mini-Games ******************************************************************************* The mini-games for biological parts are located in the bio-chamber. They are unlocked as you progress through the game performing Dr. Sondebar's quests. Each mini-game requires a key ingredient and a secondary ingredient. Key ingredients are different for each mini-game, but secondary ingredients are the same for all biological mini-games. Secondary Ingredients (Determine level and potential bonus) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Family | Level I Level II Level III Level IV ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Bandages | Used Dressing Coarse Gauze Sterile Bandage Synthetic Cast ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Flesh | Nerve Fiber Fresh Tendon Dried Sinew Solid Muscle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Fluids | Growth Serum Venom Flask Cryogenic Fluid Volatile Plasma ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Goo | Sewer Sludge Glowing Muck Sticky Goo Toxic Ooze ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Plants | Dark Ivy Thorned Creeper Blood Rose Nightshade ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ML1C.1] IQ Injector ******************************************************************************* The IQ Injector creates biological heads. There are 12 different families of biological heads with 4 levels within each family for a total of 48 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Burlap Sack, Rotten Fish, Caustic Juice, Metal Platter, Gas Can, Leviathan Flesh, Caustic Juice, Wolf's Blood, Horrid Tentacle, Wreslter Mask, Foul Slime, Infested Log Controls -------- Swing the wii-mote to throw brains (lighter or harder to adjust for distance). Use the control stick to aim left or right. Time ---- 50 seconds Scoring ------- You score quality points by landing brains inside of his skull. You lose quality points continuously over time and by him throwing brains out of his skull. Instructions ------------ Aim the control stick at the skull and throw the brain in. At lower levels, you should be able to throw over 20+ brains in his skull before he moves; however, you don't receive extra points once your quality meter is maxed out, so save your energy. You will need to adjust for 3 different distances: short, medium, and long. To make a short throw swing the wii-mote lightly a short distance. To make a medium throw swing the wii-mote moderately. To make a long throw swing it hard. You will have to practice in order to get your swing down. Hit power-ups to make it easier. The smoke that rises up generally does not do anything, although every now and then it will get in your way. His eyes glow eerily when you land a brain in his skull Power-Ups (only available at difficulty level 3 or above) --------------------------------------------------------- Blue Icon: Brick (one throw): Throw the brick and the skull will go to that spot and bend over. If you throw the brick in his skull, he will dance around (bad). Yellow Icon: Radioactive brains (multiple): Gives more quality points when you land them in his skull. Red Icon: Homing brains (multiple): They never miss no matter how you swing or where you aim. Difficulty ---------- An increase in difficulty decreases the amount of time the skull stays at one spot, it and increases the rate at which you lose quality points and he throws brains out of his skull. At difficulty level 1, the skull stays at medium range. At difficulty level 2, the skull adjusts between medium and long range (but mostly stays at medium range). At difficulty level 3 and above, the skull adjusts between all ranges and you no longer have a laser guide. Tips ---- *For medium range, aim the laser guide at the left side of his body to the right of his feet (project his body to the floor and your laser guide should be at the left. For long range, I generally adjust it to aim towards the left side of his mouth. *Be Happy with 99%: the only way to get 100% is to land a brain at the exact last moment. [ML1C.2] Stitch-O-Matic ******************************************************************************* The stitch-o-matic creates biological legs. There are 10 different families of biological legs with 4 different levels for a total of 40 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Rotten Fish, Sharp Fang, Gas Can, Manacles, Leviathan Flesh, Jumper Cables, Wolf's Blood, Mutant Larva, Horrid Tentacle, Infested Log Controls -------- Point the wii-mote at the screen and twist it to line up the staple gun with the blue stitches. Swing the nunchuk to staple. Time ---- Untimed - complete the seam. Scoring ------- You gain quality points by stapling the blue stitches and the bugs. You lose quality points by stapling nothing or allowing the bugs to eat away at the seam. Instructions ------------ The screen will generally move left to right but it can move in all directions. Follow the seam and staple the blue stitches while keeping an eye out for bugs. The bugs will move towards the seam and eat away at the seam - they will either enter the seam on top of a blue stitch or stay on the edge of the seam close to a blue stitch. You want to staple them before they eat away at your quality points. In some instances, the bugs will only be visible on screen for a very short time (sometimes too short to do anything about it). Don't worry about it, you can make up for it (unless it happens at the very end). Difficulty ---------- At higher difficulty levels, the screen moves faster with more stitches and more bugs. Tips ---- *It seems that you gain more points by squishing bugs (as they also can not eat away at your quality points), but at higher difficulties it is best to stay along the seam and staple as much as you can. Let the bugs come to the seam or wait until you've stapled all of the blue stitches before going too far out of your way. *Use short but quick strokes on the nunchuk as if you shake too lightly it will not register. *You can squish bugs off-screen, but it is a risk. [ML1C.3] Arm-aggedon ******************************************************************************* The arm-aggedon creates biological arms. There are 20 different families of biological arms with 4 different levels within each family for a total of 80 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Rotten Fish, Dark Seaweed, Saw Blade, Stag Beetle, Sharp Fang, Spiked Club, Metal Platter, Leviathan Flesh, Thick Pelt, Spiny Crab, Honeycomb, Rattlesnake, Wolf's Blood, Mutant Larva, Wrestler Mask, Foul Slime, Infested Log, Pumpkin, Dragon Egg Controls -------- Shake the nunchuk to pull left; shake the wii-mote to pull right. If one of the mechanical arms breaks, use a circular motion on the nunchuk (left) or wii-mote (right) to fix it. Time ---- 50 seconds Scoring ------- You score quality points by wrestling the arm into the light. Gain alot of points by keeping it in the light. You continuously lose quality points as time goes by; however, unlike some other mini-games, it decreases slow enough so that you can get 100% if you moved the arm into the light within the last 5-6 seconds. Instructions ------------ Wrestle the plant arm into the light and keep it there. If you have the arm in the light, keep the nunchuk and wii-mote still (even though it is prompting you to shake them both at the same time) to stay in the light. There is a tension meter under each arm that increases as you pull that respective arm. If it maxes out, the arm will break and you will have to fix it. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, the rate at which the light will move increases. The quality point meter decreases quicker as time elapses. At difficulty level 1, there is not any tension so the arms will not break. At difficulty level 2 and above, there is a tension meter under each arm. As the difficulty increases, the tension increases faster for each swing of the nunchuk and wii-mote. Tips ---- *My method has always been to swing one of the controllers at a time and try to hold steady and level when the arm is in the light. I have never broken one of the arms and can easily get 100% on difficulty level 3 this way. [ML1C.4] Cardio Chaos ******************************************************************************* The cardio chaos creates a biological torso. There are 10 different families of biological torsos with 4 different levels within each family for a total of 40 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Broken Heart, Rotten Fish, Metal Platter, Gas Can, Fresh Brain, Caustic Juice, Honeycomb, Rattlesnake, Wolf's Blood, Mutant Larva Controls -------- Point the wii-mote to aim and press the B button to shoot at seeds and plant arms. Shake the nunchuk to reload and to stop spinning if you get hit by a plant arm. Use the control stick to rotate your view. Time ---- 110 seconds Scoring ------- This is the only mini-game where you automatically gain quality points over time. You lose quality points if the plant in the middle is hurt (whether you shoot it accidentally or the plant arms hit it). Instructions ------------ The object is to keep the plant in the middle safe. Shoot the seeds before they get to the goo pool or they will turn into plant arms that attack the main plant. Most of the seeds travel in a slow whirlybird motion, but red seeds will travel faster in a more direct route to the goo pool. If a plant arm grows red, it will hurt the main plant more in an attack. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, the rate at which the plant spits seeds out increases as well as the rate at which the plant arms will attack the main plant. At difficulty level 3, there are about 2-3 red seeds to deal with. Tips ---- *Unless two seeds are together, I usually reload and rotate the view after destroying each seed. *Target Red seeds with the highest priority followed by seeds closer to the goo. [ML1D] Alchemical Parts Mini-Games ******************************************************************************* The mini-games for alchemical parts are located in the arcanum. They are unlocked as you progress through the game performing Senor De La Sombra's quests. Each mini-game requires a key ingredient and a secondary ingredient. Key ingredients are different for each mini-game, but secondary ingredients are the same for all biological mini-games. Secondary Ingredients (Determine level and potential bonus) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Family | Level I Level II Level III Level IV ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Components | Bowl of Ash Sulfur Pinch Magic Dust Star Powder ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Gems | Amethyst Ruby Emerald Diamond ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Ghosts | Bound Ghost Haunted Spirits Wailing Soul Demonic Essence ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Potions | Bubbling Tonic Love Potion Festering Fluid Possessed Brew ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Rock | Mystic Coral Magma Core Astral Geode Philosphy Ore ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ML1D.1] Element Inferno ******************************************************************************* The element inferno creates alchemical legs. There are 10 different families of alchemical legs with 4 levels per family for a total of 40 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Mud Bucket, Manacles, Power Crystal, Stag Beetle, Manacles, Caustic Juice, Thick Pelt, Bone Pile, Rattlesnake, Evil Tome Controls -------- Point the wii-mote and hold the B button to collect clusters of similar alchemy symbols. Swing the nunchuk to cast these symbols into the fire. Time ---- 110 seconds Scoring ------- You gain quality points by filling up all 3 meters. You can lose quality points by hitting the Red S with your collector or mixing different alchemic symbols. Instructions ------------ Collect as many of the 3 different alchemy symbols as you can and cast them into the fire. I have found that if you fill up the 3 meters 3 times, you will get 100% (although the Red S may interfere). If you collected 4 of a particular element and you collect another element, it will decrease the amount of the majority element you collected by 1 (so do not touch other elements). Symbols ------- Blue Square : Collect them and throw them into the fire (they are slow). Yellow Circle : Collect them and throw them into the fire (they are fast). Green Triangle: Collect them and throw them into the fire. White Square : These take on any element! Definitely good to get at any time. Red S : Avoid these, they take away all the elements you have collected and decrease your quality score. Colored Stars : Not exactly sure, but I collected them and seemed fine. Difficulty ---------- At higher difficulties, you have to collect more of each element. Level 1: 3 blue, 6 yellow, 8 green - Only these elements appear Level 2: 5 blue, 8 yellow, 10 green - base elements plus white squares Level 3: 6 blue, 10 yellow, 12 green - plus Red S Level 4: 8 blue, 12 yellow, 14 green - plus colored stars Tips ---- *Try to collect whatever is mostly on the screen at the time depending on your needs. *Do not worry about collecting all of each element at once. [ML1D.2] Haunted Organ ******************************************************************************* The haunted organ creates alchemical heads. There are 12 different families of alchemical heads with 4 levels per family for a total of 48 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Big Eyeball, Broken Heart, Horned Skull, Caustic Juice, Scary Mask, Power Crystal, Stag Beetle, Scary Fang, Shrunken Head, Fresh Brain, Evil Tome, Dragon Egg Controls -------- Swing the wii-mote or nunchuk to play a note when they are over the buttons at the bottom. Hold the Z or B button while swinging to play the outermost notes. Z + Nunchuk swing - leftmost note Nunchuk swing - left note Wii-mote swing - right note B + Wii-mote swing - rightmost note Time ---- Play until the end of the song. Scoring ------- You gain quality points by hitting the right notes. You lose quality points by hitting a wrong note or letting a note go by. Instructions ------------ Play each note on the organ at the right time. The notes are always the same for each difficulty (the song is always the same). There are plenty of notes to make up for mistakes. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, so do the number of notes you have to play. Difficulty level 2 adds outermost notes and up until level 3, you do not need to play outermost and innermost notes at the same time. Tips ---- *Swing too lightly and it will not register. *I generally hold the controllers vertically an play like I am ringing a bell. [ML1D.3] Mystic Maelstrom ******************************************************************************* The mystic maelstrom creates alchemical torsos. There are 10 different families of alchemical torso with 4 different levels per family for a total of 40 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Broken Heart, Mud Bucket, Burlap Sack, Power Crystal, Stag Beetle, Metal Platter, Manacles, Thick Pelt, Bone Pile, Rattlesnake Controls -------- Use the control stick to aim the shield (you can leap from left to right just by pressing left when you are on the right or right when you are on the left; or you can continously rotate the shield by holding the control stick towards a direction and moving along the control stick edges). Aim the wii-mote and press the B button to shoot when you have a bullet. Time ---- 110 seconds Scoring ------- You gain quality points by hitting the diamonds, bats, and ghosts. You lose quality points by allowing a shot to hit the heart. Instructions ------------ Protect your heart by reflecting shots fired back at the ghosts. If you hit a diamond or bat (glowing or non-glowing) you can gain power-ups. The angle you hit the shot back affects the angle at which the shot is reflected. If you are still, the shot will be reflected back at the same speed; if you are moving, it will add speed to the reflected shot. Power-ups --------- *Bullet shot: Fire a bullet to destroy a ghost or other object. *Large Shield: Shield grows larger. *Dual Shields: Two shields located at opposite ends of each other. *Triple Shot: Reflect a shot back with 3 of your own. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, different types of ghosts are added. At level 2, red ghosts shoot shots that travel quickly. At level 3, there are ghosts that shoot a slow but more powerful shot. Tips ---- *At difficulty level 1, it is best to just reflect the shots back at the ghosts. [ML1D.4] Astral Rift ******************************************************************************* The astral rift creates alchemical arms. There are 20 different families of alchemical arms with 4 levels per family for a total of 80 parts. Key Ingredients --------------- Big Eyeball, Broken Heart, Mud Bucket, Burlap Sack, Rusty Hook, Dark Seaweed, Power Crystal, Stag Beetle, Shrunken Head, Spiked Club, Metal Bucket, Gas Can, Manacles, Leviathan Flesh, Caustic Juice, Thick Pelt, Bone Pile, Jumper Cables, Foul Slime, Pumpkin Controls -------- Point the wii-mote to guide yourself through the portals. Activate Frozen Time power-ups by swinging the nunchuk. You can also rotate the wii-mote to rotate the portals. Time ---- 110 seconds Scoring ------- You gain quality points by going through the portals without crashing. You lose quality points continuously over time and by crashing. Instructions ------------ Guide yourself safely through the portals. As soon as you go through one portal unscathed, the speed will increase (it will never increase faster). Collect the blue orb power-up to increase quality points more; collect the hourglass power- up to increase your Frozen Time meter (which starts at full). Activating frozen time does not slow down the speed, it only stops the portals from rotating or shrinking/enlarging. Frozen time will automatically end after a set time regardless of whether or not you still have frozen time points. Difficulty ---------- As the difficulty increases, so does the speed at which you travel. Level 1 is a straight path. Level 2 adds curves in the path. Level 3 increases the number of curves you go through. Tips ---- *Crashing does not hurt you early on, but it does with less than 10 seconds left. *You might find higher difficulty levels with the curves overwhelming at first. This is more of a psychological issue: You might think there is not enough time to move the screen through a portal from a curve. It is not the screen that matters but where you point your wii-mote. Keep yourself in the center and just quickly point the wii-mote towards an open portal on a curve. It still requires quick timing. *If you rely on Frozen time - Do not let it run out on it's own. You can shake the nunchuk while frozen time is activated to de-activate it, saving you from wasting frozen time points on easy portals that do not rotate or shrink. [ML2] Region Map Mini-Games ******************************************************************************* *Most Regions are locked until a certain time in the game progression *Mini-games are on a timer; After you play them they will be unavailable for a set period of time *Two types of mini-games roam the map. The rest are in a set place all of the time. *Some mini-games in a region will be unavailable until you unlock the area that they are in. Cobbleshire: Mayor Neidervoten Creatures: Almost all mechanical (at most 2 non-mechanical parts) Mini-games: Box Breaking, Sewer Scooper, Buried Treasure, Electro-Trace (2), Ancient Puzzle (2), Angry Mob (roaming) Neverglades: Zig Creatures: Almost all biological (at most 2 non-biological parts) Mini-games: Shrub Shakedown (3), Bug Mashing (Roaming), Sewer Scooper (2), Buried Treasure Tombstone Rise: Grimshaw Bartley Creatures: Almost all alchemical (at most 2 non-alchemical parts) Mini-games: Buried Treasure (2), Gem Harvest (2), Angry Mob (roaming), Ancient Puzzle (2), Box Breaking, Shrub Shakedown (2) The Junkstack: Commander Monton Creatures: Primarily Mechanical, Secondarily Alchemical (at most 3 non-mechanical parts) Mini-games: Box Breaking (2), Electrotrace (2), Bug Mashing (Roaming), Gem Harvest, Ancient Puzzle Wildwoods: Silva Creatures: Primarily Biological, Secondarily Alchemical (at most 3 non-biological parts) Mini-games: Bug Mashing (Roaming), Buried Treasure, Shrub Shakedown (3), Sewer Scooper, Ancient Puzzle Mharti's Manor: Monsieur Leo Lumiere (after defeating Mharti) Creatures: Primarily Alchemical, Secondarily Mechanical (at most 3 non-alchemical parts, with one exception) Mini-games: Gem Harvest (2), Box Breaking, Sewer Scooper, Electrotrace, Angry Mob (roaming) [ML2A] Angry Mob ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point the wii-mote at incoming pipes and tomatoes. Swing the nunchuk forward to knock pipes back at the mob. Swing the nunchuk sideways to slap tomatoes out of the way. Time ---- 20 seconds Instructions ------------ You want to hit the pipes back at the angry mob (does not matter what angle you hit them at as they will always travel back to a mob member). If you hit the tomatoes back (the way you would a pipe) or let them hit you, they will splat and obscure your vision. If you slap a pipe out of the way (the way you would a tomatoe), it will leave the screen. [ML2B] Ancient Puzzle ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point the wii-mote at pieces and press A + B simultaneously to grasp them. Twist the wii-mote to fit them into the puzzle. Time ---- 60 seconds Instructions ------------ Fit the pieces to complete the puzzle. There is always one incorrect part on the screen. There are about 8 different puzzles: 2 fish, 2 avian, 2 beast, and 2 humanoid. [ML2C] Shrub Shakedown ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Swing the wii-mote left and right to make items fall from the trees (faster for more items). Use the control stick to move the bucket to catch the items. Time ---- 30 seconds Instructions ------------ Collect enought items in your bucket to fill your meter (different items are worth different amounts). Avoid the falling branches - they will knock your bucket down. [ML2D] Bug Mashing ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point at the yellow bugs and swing the nunchuk to squish them. Time ---- 20 seconds Instructions ------------ Squash the yellow bugs to fill the meter. Hitting one of the blue bugs will decrease your meter. More bugs will come after time (in case you hit a blue bug, there will not be enough starting yellow bugs to fill the meter). [ML2E] Gem Harvest ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point at gems with the wii-mote and shake the nunchuk to chip out gems before they grow too big and shatter. Time ---- 27 seconds Instructions ------------ Chip out the gems to fill your meter before time runs out. Different gems are worth different amounts. Just continously shake your nunchuk. [ML2F] Box Breaking ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point at the box with the wii-mote and swing the nunchuk to hammer. Time ---- 30 seconds Instructions ------------ Smash the weak spots of the box (there are always 4 located at different areas each time). The weak spots are shown by a yellow star and a crunching sound as opposed from the normal blue star and knocking sound. There are three different boxes it can be: Barrel, casket, or treasure chest. [ML2G] Sewer Scooper ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point at the streams with the wii-mote and hold down the B button to scoop items up. Shake the nunchuk if a fish bites your scooper. Time ---- 20 seconds Instructions ------------ There are always 2 streams (up and down). Fish do not bite unless you try to scoop them up. You cannot move between streams while you are scooping. You only need to collect 10 items. [ML2H] Buried Treasure ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Swing the wii-mote left and right to dig. Shake the nunchuk to break the skulls. Time ---- 30 seconds Instructions ------------ Dig until you hit a skull, break it, and dig some more. There can be 2, 3, or 4 skulls. Dig until you find the buried treasure. [ML2I] Electrotrace ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Point at the line with the wii-mote and hold down A or B to trace along the line. Time ---- 20 seconds Instructions ------------ Trace along the line to fill up the meter. If you stray too far from the line enough times, a big X will appear and you will have to start over with a new line to trace. The key here is to take it slow and use both of your hands to steady yourself. [ML2J] Restore Health Mini-Game ******************************************************************************* Controls -------- Select a damaged part with the control stick and swing the wii-mote in circles to repair the damage. Time ---- 15 seconds Instructions ------------ Repair your creature by spinning the wheel. It takes around 5-6 seconds to repair a fully destroyed part. [ML3] Trading ******************************************************************************* When you aren't on a quest for them, the characters in each region will trade ingredients with you if you have at least 15 of an ingredient that they want. They will trade 1 key ingredient for 15 of your key ingredients. When you aren't on a quest from them, go to their spot and click A to talk to them. They will say that they have interesting parts to trade for and then will offer a trade. If you don't need the item they are trading, just deny the trade and talk to them again to get the item you want. Keep in mind, you may not be able to trade for certain parts early in the game (they are unlocked as you complete certain parts of the game). [ML5] Character Conversation
*******************************************************************************

When you aren't on a quest from them and you don't have 15 key ingredients that
they will
trade for, each character will spout off a line or two.

Professor Fuseless
------------------
*Have you been to the Junkstack, it's like my candy store.
*The Commandante helped me build my arm. Now, that's a true friend.
*Another monster escaped. Hope it isn't harassing the Mayor.
*Have you found any new recipes? They are key for making the best parts.

Dr. Sondebar
------------
*I miss the Neverglades. It was so nice and murky.
*Did you know that Alchemical parts are weak against Biological ones!
*I tried to help Fuseless grow more hair, he had daisies popping out of his
head for a month.
*A perfect biological brain should always outthink the other sciences!

Senor De La Sombra
------------------
*Does De La Sombra's robe make him look fat? Be honest.
*Fah! You are more bothersome than De La Sombra's flying book! Away with you!
*De La Sombra cannot be bothered now... he is contemplating the alchemical
mysteries of the universe.
*De La Sombra could do with a nice alchemical cheese sandwich...

Mayor Neidervoten
-----------------
*Do you think you could ask Fuseless to stop making so many monsters?
*Have you been down to the docks? We have lovely ocean views.
*Did you see my statue in the fountain? I had it made as a gift to my voters.
*I feel an election coming on... I need to gather support for my campaign.

Zig
---
*See that star up there? Mine looks like that, only less twinkly.
*I should have listened to my parental unit and become a fribitz inspector...
*You need a special permit to visit this part of the galaxy...It's considered
very dangerous.
*Earth. Sounds like a noise you make when your dinner backs up on you.

Grimshaw Bartley
----------------
*That De La Sombra borrowed my teapot and never returned it.
*You remind me of my old Aunt Bessy, except she had fangs.
*I just love the smell of fresh dirt in the morning!
*Got nothin to do? Feel free to pick up a shovel and pitch in.

Commander Morton
----------------
*Some call it a junkyard... I call it a command center!
*My first name is rusty... Ironic, isn't it?
*How did I become such a beloved Commandante, you ask? Practice, practice,
practice!
*I dream of revolutions past... so glorious...

Silva
-----
*Have you been to the animal graveyard yet... it's spooky.
*It's called the Wildwoods because of the parties we used to throw.
*You should become a vegetarian, it's great for your figure!
*What do you do with your old Monster parts? I hope you recycle them!

Monsieur Leo Lumiere
--------------------
*I seem to have misplaced my glasses... oh wait... they are on my face.
*Oh, hello. You caught me in the middle of something... just not sure what it
was.
*Did you find that old cave in the Wildwoods? I can't seem to remember where
it is...
*I saw some ghosts guarding an entrance in Tombstone Rise. I wonder what's
inside?
