Explore as you wish. Behind one of the silver doors a green guy -- Tron -- will let you fight your first battle. Don't miss this opportunity to fight because you will never encounter this enemy anywhere else in the game. If you miss it, you can't complete your Rogue list and you'll miss out on a license. When ready go behind the gold door to talk to your Mom and Dad. Dad will eventually send you to talk to the crewmen -- Tron and Noix. Noix will tell you to talk to your brother Copoona, who's in the main room of the ship(with the huge table). Copoona will then send you to talk to your Dad again, who informs you that you're about to enter the atmosphere. Disaster strikes! Watch the scene that follows and enjoy. =========== ||TOKIONE|| =========== You awaken in the Admin tower. After a small scene, shower, go down the stairs, and talk to Serge. He'll send you back upstairs to bed. Upon waking, go downstairs and talk to Serge to get your OMP. Basically, the OMP is your menu. You can access stats, items, equipment(bonbon), and lots more. Just like in most RPGs. Now follow Serge down to 4F. You can also talk to Ted for the first time if you want. Serge then sends you down two more floors to Student Registration. On the way, you can get a Dictionary card for your OMP by searching the library bookshelves on 3F. To get to 2F, you have to talk to Mira, who will then move out of your way. Continue to 2F and register as a student by talking to the guy behind the desk. Once that's done, talk to Goldy, who blocks the elevator down(sensing a pattern?). He'll give you a GPS card for your OMP, so now you can view a map of the area you're in. It sounds more useful than it usually is. The domes aren't quite as big as they seem at first, so finding your way around will become second nature soon enough. Go down to B1, across the hall to the far elevator, then go up! /////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 1 BEGIN /////////////////////////// Talk to Goldy, answer "yes," and he'll lead you to the Simulation Room on Starhouse 2F. Complete the fight he puts you into, and he'll issue your Ranger Trainee license! //////////////////////////////////////// RANGER LICENSE: TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! //////////////////////////////////////// Ted will suddenly appear, talk to you, and you will automatically gain your first level of friendship with him after Goldy leaves. /////////////////////////////// TED FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////// Head into the girls' dorms on this floor, and you will run into Mira. She'll offer to be your friend . . . after she scolds you a little. Also, +4 to Popularity! //////////////////////////////// MIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Now follow Goldy to the basement level. There you'll run into a girl named Chaika near the next door you need to go through, and when you're ready she'll lead you to the dome's exit. And she'll even give you your first task as a Ranger Trainee! /////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 1 BEGIN /////////////////////////// All you have to do is survive 10 battles. Pretty simple, but you'll want to hang out near the dome entrance for now. There's a conveniently-placed healing station and save point just inside the dome near the exit. So go do your thing! Use mineral water or the healing station when necessary. Once finished, fight as much as you like. I suggest at least level 3 because that's when you get your first power that's really worth something -- High! It's your basic healing power and you'll be glad you have it soon enough! Once you go back inside the dome proper, Serge will greet you and lead you to the License center. Most domes have one, and they're where you go to get a new task and/or upgrade your license upon completion of each task. Some licenses can only be obtained/upgraded at specific domes. Talk to the receptionist on B1 to get your next task! ////////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 1 COMPLETE ////////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 2 BEGIN /////////////////////////// You can now go back outside the dome, only this time you can go even farther away! They want you to collect 5 "rogue eggs," which can be found inside treasure shells. But before that . . . Go back to the Starhouse(dorms & classrooms mostly, remember?). On 1F you can go to a playroom and meet a cactus-looking person named Masao. Because you're both aliens, he'll ask to be friends. Just say "yes." ///////////////////////////////// MASAO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////// If you go to 4F and talk to the female teacher sitting there, she'll tell you about secret codes. From this point on, you will be able to see the secret codes(pink if it's new; blue if you've already claimed it). Before you talk to her, they won't appear. They're always inside the domes, and always on walls. Some can be hard to find because of the camera, but they're not really hidden. I will not detail where they are with the exception of codes related to certain sidequests. /////////////////////////////////////////////// ABILITY TO SEE AND OBTAIN SECRET CODES ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////////////////////// Now back to the main task! When you head to the exit, you'll meet Ted again. He says he has a Rogue Egg, but won't give it to you. You have to collect at least 4 of them on your own. So let's get to it! Beware the beehive in the second area, though! You should be able to take it down with minimal difficulty around level 6, but the bees can take your life down really fast. If you manage to defeat the hive and kill all the bees, you get Honey, which increases your HP. You might want to save it, since Opoona really has plenty of HP. Once you've checked all of the treasure shells in the areas open to you, you should have 4 eggs. So go back to the dome and talk to Serge. He'll direct you to Ted, who's waiting for you in front of the License tower. He'll give you his egg and help you meet your quote . . . if you can beat him in a race! He'll lead you to the track, cheat to win, and then you'll end up getting the 5th Rogue Egg and a shiny new hoverboard. Yay!!! /////////////////// HOVERBOARD OBTAINED /////////////////// The hoverboard makes getting around much, much faster. Now on to the chemistry lab, which is on Starhouse 2F. When you give Jingle the 5 Rogue Eggs, he'll become your friend. ////////////////////////////////// JINGLE FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// Now go back to License tower B1 to report your completed task. She'll give you a vague task to help somebody with something(like I said, vague), but point you to the Library on 3F of the admin tower. ////////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 2 COMPLETE ////////////////////////////// RANGER TRAINEE TASK 3 BEGIN /////////////////////////// So head on up there, actually to the floor above the library. You'll meet your brother, Copoona, and some of the other Sages of Landroll. After a short scene, they'll task you with clearing the Rogues out of the Wind Ravine. To get there, you basically exit the dome, continue on the path through both sections you've already been to, and then continue onto a 3rd section. It's very straight forward, and the 3rd section is the Wind Ravine. Before you exit the dome, though, notice that the museum is now open. So go ahead and raise Opoona's Art a little while you're there. Once you're in the Wind Ravine, it's a straight shot to the boss. ////////// BOSS FIGHT ////////// If you're at least level 6, he shouldn't pose much of a thread. Kill his posse first, then focus on him, healing when necessary. High is your best power at this point. His "torch" ability is the only thing you really have to worry about, especially if you have some defense-boosting cores equipped. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// You'll automatically go to the Admin Tower for another scene. Afterwards, go down one floor and talk to the weird little "wind spirit" by the large bookcases. He'll give you the ability to hit wind spirits that appear during battle(aim at them and shoot quickly when they're flashing). Now continue on down, across, then . . . well, just work your way to the license tower. Once you talk to a lady at the counter on 1F of the tower, you'll be given the 1-Star Ranger license and instructions to go downstairs to receive your next task. /////////////////////////////////////// RANGER LICENSE: 1 STAR RANK ACHIEVED!!! /////////////////////////////////////// The lady is less than helpful, though. She tells you that you have to go to the Ranger Station in the Lifeborn dome. Happily, though, you now have access to the Skypod, though you can only take it to the Lifeborn dome at the moment. When you head to the pods, you'll run into Ted and his parents. Follow him up the elevator to the boarding gate. After talking to him, your friendship with him deepens. /////////////////////////////// TED FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////// There's nothing keeping you here now(though you will return eventually), so step into the Skypod to go to . . . ============ ||LIFEBORN|| ============ When you first arrive at Lifeborn, you will automatically talk to Serge. He'll update your OMP photo and take off. When you head down the elevator, you'll be immediately greeted by Lue, and she'll automatically lead you to the Job Admin Center. Talk to the receptionist on the far right, and she'll assign you your new job! ////////////////////////// RANGER 1 STAR TASK BEGIN ////////////////////////// Your first job is the patrol the Matia Mines outside of the Lifeborn dome -- similar to Tokione, the outside area is pretty straight-forward. You literally can't miss where to go once you get outside. She'll direct you to the Ranger Station on 1F of the dome to receive further instructions. When you leave the room, Lue will be waiting for you. She'll take you directly to the Ranger Station, but you don't have to go in just yet. Go back up to 3F and talk to the kid behind the yellow counter. Answer "no" to his first question and he'll tell you about the part-time job! He'll direct you to talk to the store owner down on 2F. So go down there, talk to the sitting guy in the blue suit, and answer "yes." He'll tell you his name is Mac, but tells you the application will take some time and you should go back to your Ranger job. If you go up the stairs to the A4 apartments, you'll meet Lue. She'll mention a girl she was supposed to teach. Back on 3F, talk to the little girl sitting down. Answer "yes" and you'll gain some Love. Answer "no" and you'll gain some integrity. It makes no difference otherwise; Lue will then begin talking about Ted if you go back to her. There's nothing else to do at this point, although buying a Power Plus enhancement for your bonbon at this point is a pretty good investment. The ability to hit targets in back rows THROUGH targets in front is really, really great. This one enhancement will be useful for a long time to come. Otherwise, it's time to go inside the Ranger Station on 1F. You'll find out that no one respects the bonbon. They'll learn soon enough . . . anyway, go into the captain's room and talk to the guy behind the desk -- Terry. He'll tell you what you already know, and give you permission to finally exit the dome! You've probably noticed a lot of doors that you can't go through right now -- that'll change soon enough. But for now, outside awaits! The exit is on 1F outside the Ranger Station. Outside, it's a pretty straight shot to the mines. There's only one other path you could possibly take, and some guy is blocking it right now. So just take your time, level up until you're comfortable, and head into the mine. Explore a bit, grab the treasures, make note of the small rocks everywhere(they'll be important soon), and then go through the door at the very back. The guy in the big enemy-free mining area will tell you about the unofficial mining license, and that you should talk to Mary(sitting on 1F of Lifeborn) if you want to know more. Mary tells you that her husband can give you a Mining license, but he's away at the moment. You'll need to obtain an Attendant license to get to the Blue Desert Hotel where he is. Go up to 2F and talk to Mac. If you've fought enough battles in the mine, he'll tell you that your trainee license is ready. If not, he'll tell you to go fight more. Once you've done enough, Mac will give you your trainee license, but you'll have to go to the Job Admin center to get your official first task. /////////////////////////////////////////// ATTENDANT LICENSE: TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! /////////////////////////////////////////// Talk to the attendant, and she'll tell you that your first task is to wait on people at "Eat Everyday," the restaurant behind the yellow counter. //////////////////////////// ATTENDANT TRAINEE TASK BEGIN //////////////////////////// Exit the room and Mac will greet you and lead you to the shop. He'll explain the process. There are 8 items(4 on each side). When you wait on a customer, they'll tell you what they want. You need to go to the right items, pick them up, and then take them to the customer w/in a time limit. It's plenty, trust me. You have to restock items, too, by "talking" to the empty plates. If you do this when you first grab the item, you can save yourself time on future customers. When you're ready, enter the restaurant through the red door and start working! Once you've satisfied 10 customers... /////////////////////////////// ATTENDANT TRAINEE TASK COMPLETE /////////////////////////////// Go to the job admin center, talk to the receptionist on the left, and . . . //////////////////////////////////// ATTENDANT FAST FOOD RANK ACHIEVED!!! //////////////////////////////////// Congratulations! Now that you have an officially sanctioned Lifeborn license, a number of new areas in the dome open up to you! So let's explore a little before accepting the next Attendant job. If you go to the Matia Factory on 2F, you can find two boys playing hide and seek. Both of them seem to think the other is "it." If you talk to them, they'll both boost your Luck a bit. On 1F, enter the room behind the door with the blue waves -- the Aquaria room -- and talk to Mishell. Answer "yes" and she'll present you with... ////////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! ////////////////////////////////// Go to the job center on 3F to get your first Seamaster task. //////////////////////////// SEAMASTER TRAINEE TASK BEGIN //////////////////////////// You need to catch 50 fish. They'll give you a rod. Now go back to the Aquaria room, purchase some bait(I suggest Bonbite X because better bait = more HP when fishing) from the lady behind the counter, and then run to the other side of the room to fish in the practice pond. Get on one of the platforms, press the C button, and a minigame will begin. Fishing works just like regular battles. Fish attack your bait, and your bait type determines the amount of "HP" it has. You want to kill all the fish before your bait runs out. So continue fishing until you've caught 50 fish; and only the ones actually called "fish" count. Detour: Once you've fished 1 time, you can talk to the other lady behind the desk(the one not selling the bait) to get... ////////////////////////////////// ANGLER APPRENTICE RANK ACHIEVED!!! ////////////////////////////////// ANGLER APPRENTICE TASK BEGIN //////////////////////////// She'll charge you with fishing 40 times. Not catching 40 fish, but actually doing the fishing mini-game 40 times. This license is not optional if you want to finish the game, so you might as well do it now while the fishing is easy. Anyway, once you've caught 50 fish, you'll get a brand new Power Rod(does more damage, allowing you to catch tougher fish), and a message that your quota has been met. Go to the Job Center to upgrade your license and get your next task. /////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER TRAINEE TASK COMPLETE ///////////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER OPEN WATER RANK ACHIEVED!!! ///////////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER OPEN WATER TASK BEGIN /////////////////////////////// You have to catch Orcalphin food, and the receptionist tells you to talk to a master in the field to get more info. Oh, and she gives you an oxygen capsule so you can actually do the task. Back in the Aquaria Room, talk to Mishell again and she'll lead you down the elevator to the place where you'll dive in to fish for Orcalphin food -- Swimming Heads, Sea Matias, and Lanters all qualify. You'll probably lose a few baits while you're here; don't let it get you down. Again, it'll give you a message when your quota is filled. Don't sell your Orcalphin food; you'll need them later. You can sell the other fish you catch, though. Back to the job center! ////////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER OPEN WATER TASK COMPLETE ///////////////////////////////////// SEAMASTER TOUR DIVER RANK ACHIEVED!!! ///////////////////////////////////// You'll find out that your next task can only be issued by the Angler professor at the Intelligent Sea dome, which you won't get to until much later. Oh, well. Now to finish up your current Angler quota. Use the practice pool to finish it if you haven't fished 40 times already by the time you get all your Orcalphin food. Once you've fished 40 times, talk to the lady in the Aquaria Room who gave you your first Angler license, and she'll... /////////////////////////////// ANGLER APPRENTICE TASK COMPLETE ////////////////////////////////// ANGLER JOURNEYMAN RANK ACHIEVED!!! ////////////////////////////////// No new task for this license either. You have to talk to the professor sometime once you get to the Intelligent Sea dome. So our fishing is done for now; let's move on. From the Aquaria Room, you can reach a huge courtyard, with some art pieces if that's your thing. If you talk to an old man at the far end sitting at a table, he'll tell you that he's doing philosophy. Go up the blue stairs into the wheat processing room, talk to the girl at the back, and she'll tell you George is outside. Go back to the courtyard, talk to the philosophizing man again, and he'll admit that he's George, president of the Farmers Society. I smell a job. Answer his first question "no," and his second question "yes," and he'll give you your first farmer license. /////////////////////////////// FARMER TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! /////////////////////////////// George will tell you to go to the Job Center. On the way, talk to Mac, and he'll become your friend. /////////////////////////////// MAC FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////// He'll then tell you about his part-time hobby tuning up vehicles. Didn't George say you'd need to upgrade your hoverboard with mining equipment to farm? Keep this in mind for later. Go to the Job Center, and get your first farming quota: ////////////////////////// FARMING TRAINEE TASK BEGIN ////////////////////////// Sure, you can't actually do it now, but you might as well get it on your job list while you're here. Also, talk to the receptionist about your new Attendant job since there's nothing left to do here(for now). ////////////////////////////// ATTENDANT FAST FOOD TASK BEGIN ////////////////////////////// It's time to go to the Blue Desert Hotel! Go up to the 4F skypod area, go to the machine to the right of the skypod entrance, and choose "Blue Desert" as your desired location! Save first, of course, then enter the skypod and say bye-bye to the Lifeborn dome, for now. ================== ||TOKIONE DETOUR|| ================== If you talk to Jingle in the chemistry lab, he'll give you the Rogue Collector OMP expansion card. This will give you a new Rogue Observer license that will automatically upgrade as you come across and defeat more types of rogues. To get the highest level, you'll have to defeat the hardest enemy in the game -- Apocalypse 2. But we'll save that for much, much later. He'll then start asking for "small bulbs," but you don't have any yet. Now talk to Mira in the girls' dorm across the hall from the chemistry lab. She'll ask you if you're adjusting well to life on Landroll, and then she'll begin talking about the Stray Cat TV show. So begin watching the show from your OMP. Go to sleep in the boys' dorm, then go back to talk to Mira the next day. It might take a couple days(one FAQ says you have to see up to ep. 3), but she will ask you if you watched the show. Answer "yes" and your friendship will deepen. //////////////////////////////// MIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Mira will then head to the theatre. Meet her there, talk to her, and she'll have you help a kid with his homework. The answers are "Everyone is needed" and "It wants to find its place." Mira will return after you've done this, compliment you, and your friendship will be boosted again. //////////////////////////////// MIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 3 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Now go talk to Mira in the girls' dorm again. She'll be sitting in one of the small rooms. Answer her question with a yes, and she'll compare you to the Stray Cat. Then she'll say she'll see you tomorrow, so . . . go sleep then go back to her dorm and talk to her again. Answer her question "no" even though the answer is yes(the translators got this wrong a few times in the game) and answer the following questions. 1. Fashion and art? Artiela! 2. Where are the children raised? Tokione! 3. Where are the two tech companies? Intelligent Sea! Mira will give you an eel pack and then tell you she's going to the Sun Room. That's the balcony overlooking the Great Track on the same floor. After a short conversation... //////////////////////////////// MIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 4 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// She then takes off, saying she'll see you tomorrow. You can meet her any time in the future, but nothing else will happen until you get the Sweeper attachment for your hoverboard. So moving on! Now go down a floor to the playroom and talk to your little cactus buddy, Masao. By now, you should have seen enough art to raise your Art stat high enough that he'll want to deepen his friendship. I don't know the exact number, but if you don't have enough by now there are foods you can eat to raise it (save before eating, though, in case the food raises the wrong stat). ///////////////////////////////// MASAO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////// Now that you've accomplished everything you can so far in the Tokione and Lifeborn domes, it's time to go to the Blue Desert Hotel! Lucky for you, you can get there even from the Tokione skypod while you have that Attendant job you got earlier. =============== ||BLUE DESERT|| =============== You won't be able to come back to this vacation spot for a long time, so there are a few things you should do first. That includes running around the desert snatching up the scattered treasure shells. You'll notice a staircase leading up to a box in the middle of the desert. It's another Calval work of art! Go inside it to find Mendel, a famouse musician on Landroll. After he introduces himself, he'll volunteer to be your friend! ////////////////////////////////// MENDEL FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// Once you're done exploring the blue desert -- there are no enemies, and it's not as big as it looks, so it should only take a few minutes -- go to the hotel proper near the southeast side of the desert. Upon entering the hotel, immediately talk to the big guy in orange -- Mussoltus -- and answer "yes" when he asks if you know of him. He'll be impressed, offer you his friendship, and... ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// ...then he'll ask you to clear out the top penthouse. So don't forget to talk to Mussoltus first! Otherwise you'll miss out on at least one friendship level. Now you want to talk to the butler by the kitchen in back of the bottom floor of the hotel. Answer his question "yes" and he'll realize you're there to fill a quota. He'll send you up to 4F to talk to Janet. If you try to go up before talking to the butler, the guy blocking the way won't let you pass. Talk to the guy blocking the door to the penthouse, and answer his question "no" to be let in to talk to Janet. If you talk to Janet, she'll give you a com unit. You'll use the com unit in completing your job here. But first... Talk to Joseph. He'll tell you he's been staying here so long because he wants a Sand Weasel. If you talk to the girl in the back room, she'll tell you the secret is to have a dog with you. So talk to Joseph again, and he'll give you permission to walk his dog(but only in the Blue Desert). So go talk to the dog now, and say "yes" when it asks you if you want to walk him. With Chappy, go back out to the desert and wander around. Occasionally you'll see a Sand Weasel run toward you from the background, stop a good distance away, and then run off again. Follow it, but don't run too fast. You'll probably fail to catch it more times than you do if you've never done it before, so be patient. Try to walk into it from behind, and when you successfully do a fight will start. Release your bonbon ASAP -- a single hit should be enough to capture it. You need one to give to Joseph, but you should go ahead and grab a bunch of the things(though I doubt you'll ever need more than 10). You'll be glad you did later. [Note: I have 10, and it only took a few minutes.] Got 'em? Good. Now go back to the hotel penthouse and talk to Joseph! On the way up, you can talk to the guests in their rooms. On 3F is a man named Subrutskin who is looking for dancing cactus. Maybe a sidequest? We'll see. Anyway, Joseph will take one of your many Sand Weasels and giving you a new license! He even gives you a drill to attach to your hoverboard, then tells you that you'll have to have Mac at Lifeborn install it. Oh, and he becomes your friend. //////////////////////////////////////// MINING ENGINEER TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! //////////////////////////////////////// JOSEPH FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// If you talk to Janet, you can tell her that you have something for her from Mac. She won't accept it until you finish your Attendant job, though. And of course on the bottom floor you can talk to Mussoltus again. With Joseph leaving, he'll become better friends with you. ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// Now when you talk to the Butler, you can begin your Attendant job! It's pretty much like the restaurant job from before, only this time you have to grab the correct food, take it to the back of the room and put it in a box, AND deliver the box to the correct room. There are also 16 items to pick from, 8 on each side of the room, but they're pretty easy to remember. Oh, and don't run into any customers on your way up(there will be extra people standing around, but they're easy enough to avoid) or you might drop your order. Once you've done 5 jobs successfully, your quota will be filled, and Janet will call you to the penthouse to talk to her again. She'll give you the custom kit to give to Mac so he can upgrade your hoverboard. He's pretty simple, and if you have two fire coats on your bonbon and something to boost defense like a Super Solid he's really easy. All of the enemies in this battle do fire-based damage, and fire coats raise your defense against fire attacks. Go ahead and kill all his little helpers, making sure to avoid the bombs. When he pulls himself inside his shell, don't bother trying to hurt him directly. When his head pops back up, arc your bon bon up and over to do the best damage. He should go down really fast. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// The Spirit of Fire will speak to your heart. He'll tell you of the cave to the east(if you went in there on the way to the furnace, you found a switch that wouldn't work). Go there and push the switch. This is officially when fire spirits start appearing in battle. Also, a bridge connecting the volcano and the mines will arise. Go through the mine and exit that way. You'll be met by Goldy and some other guys. The scene will change, and you'll be in the Ranger Station with Goldy and Terry. If you go to the casino, 3rd prize on the 500MT spin booth is the Star Sapphire. You can get at least 1 of them now, though you can get 6 if you want to be able to say "yes" to Mimi when she asks you for 5 later. It's up to you. Other than that, there's not much to do here. Upgrade your bonbons if you like, then head outside. When you reach the blocked-off passage(it'll be important later, of course), you'll see a small scene in which you talk to Rikhael. He refuses to let you get to the ruins you're supposed to search, for now. But he tells you where you find a crashed ship, conveniently down the other not-blocked path you can take. There's another bee hive down this path, but it's a piece of cake with the two brothers now working together! If you cross the bridge, though, there a hive that's...not such a piece of cake. Be careful! Level 10-12 should suffice if you don't forget to heal when needed. Once that's done, continue onward until you get to some wreckage. Then check the glowing light in the pilot seat. A small scene in which you meet Noix will occur. Your bonbon will get a boost, and...after the scene, you wake up in Lifeborn. Then after another short scene, you can start to explore some more. Two girls standing outside the cemetery entrance will mention that Debia lost something. So let's help her find it! When you talk to Debia the fortune teller, say "no" then say "yes." She'll ask you to retrieve a hidden item in her room. The gold belt you're looking for is on one side of the screen. Very easy to find. So return it to her, and she'll give you a trainee license and send you off to the Job Center to get your first task. /////////////////////////////////////// FORTUNE-TELLER TRAINEE RANK ACHIEVED!!! /////////////////////////////////////// Go to the job center. After another small scene, you can get your Attendant and Fortune-teller assignments. So now we can take a little detour. Yes, you could start on your Ukulele license now. However, if you get too far too fast on the Ukulele, you can miss out on a point of friendship with Ine. He will then give you the pet coordinator license. This license has no jobs associated with it. It's just like an achievement. Also at the petshop, you can buy a pet cage from the girl by the elevator for 3900MT. Now go over to Meg -- the manager who used to be the flower girl in Artiela -- and she'll sell you the remaining puppy(there were 2 there earlier) for 5000MT. Buy it. Talk to the man again, and he'll promise to send Bean to your room in Lifeborn. There is also a puppy named Stick. You can do a similar thing involving the woman at a different table, but your Love and Integrety have to be much higher. Like 75. Which I seriously doubt they are at this point. On 30F they are shooting a commercial. If your Fame is 140 you can apply to be in it, but at this point it's probably not. It's worth making a note of, though. Before going to 31F, a quick detour now that you have access to 22F. This is one of the only times I'm going to talk about secret codes because the 3 here are relevant to a friendship quest and one of the art sidequests. You can now get the 3 secret codes for "Worn Out Mask." The first is behind one of the vending machines in the Job Center on 2F. The second is in the cemetery behind one of the graves in the middle row. And the third is on 22F of the TV Tower behind the small wall that's in front of you to the left when you first arrive(on the side facing the row of bookcases on the left of the room). Once you have all 3 of these, go to "Secret Code" in your OMP and trade your Worn Out Masks for Stacker No. 1. Remember who was asking about it earlier? That's right -- Mac! So back to... ============ ||LIFEBORN|| ============ Talk to Mac. He'll notice that you have the Stacker 1, and at this point he'll give you the Stacker 2. That is all. Once you get to the end of the ruins, there'll be a mini-boss battle. Just focus on the assistants first, then take out the main guy up front. Have Copoona keep HP up and you'll be fine. Hooray, you've saved Rikhael! After another short scene, you'll automatically be back in Artiela. Goldy will tell you that your job completion is up in the air, since you had outside help, and Copoona will want to report to Master Sarit on the main B1 floor. You'll see Mendel and Mussoltus talking to each other outside of the tent where Sarit and Rosa are. She may or may not be in the dorms now(she wasn't for me, even after I passed another day), but you can continue your friendship quest with her later without messing anything up. Rikhael will begin talking to you, and he'll gladly hand over the "blank" Spirit Paper that the supposed Spirit Poem is written on. While you're here, make sure to get the Pin & Pon and Endless Stairs art pieces. Eventually they'll change into something else, so they're missable. Personally, I talked to the people in the museum and made sure to look at the painting(read its podium) at Tokione when I was there to become better friends with Masao. If you go back to the Mountain Pass, you should begin seeing a little girl. First, she'll appear in the curvy part with the red-leaved tree in the middle of a small stream. Keep following the path and you'll run into her in the next area next to the waterfall(left side). Again, follow the path and you'll run into her again on a high rock ledge overlooking the lake below. Finally, follow the path to the exit and just to the right she'll be standing by red flowers. Right where the Tokione painting showed her, if you look at the nearby art piece. If you go back to the Museum and talk to the girl at the top of the purple(stacker) side, she'll raise your Arts and Love by 5 each! Plus you'll find out who she really is. On the yellow side is Ine. Now that you have Masao's Sculpture, you can become his friend! He'll also trade the Sculpture for Masao's Album. /////////////////////////////// INE FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACQUIRED /////////////////////////////// Now that you're friends with Ine, it's time to get your Ukulele license! This takes a while and isn't the most interesting thing, but it's easy to do. Go to the garden and talk to the Ukulele player. He'll tell you to come back the next day if you're serious. Catch at least 1 Sand Weasel. To the far right of the desert, next to the hotel, is a young girl who will give you Honey if you've been helping George with Farming. On the roof of the hotel, a girl by the pool will trade you a Battle Drink for an Angel Chip if you tell her that you're the waiter. If you don't have a Battle Drink, you can purchase one on the bottom floor for 2 breakfast tickets. Sabrutskin is in the Penthouse now, still looking for dancing cacti. =================== ||ORCALPHIN COAST|| =================== Take your dog back home, then head here. You'll be greeted by a tour guide upon arrival, but you can take your time and explore the island. There are a few treasures here, but also enemies running around. If you have at least 50 of the fish that Orcalphin like to eat, they'll let you ride them to the Pirate Cave. If you don't, go back to Lifeborn and get some. A guy on the island says not to go there until you're at least a 4 Star Ranger. I won't go through the whole thing, but I'll go through the first cave -- the enemies get significantly harder after that, so we'll wait until a little later to do the rest. You should be able to take down the bee hive in this cave no problem, though. It's the same kind that you defeated near your parents' wrecked ship outside of Artiela. Once you've gone through the first cave, you will have mined 73 mineral and 3003 MT -- enough to fulfill one more mining quota! They're low-level treasures, and they're here for a reason that will become apparent in the future. So leave the treasure shells alone and just explore. Talk to the guide, Liz, and listen to her spiel. She'll then walk off to the west. Follow her to see the Meditation Tower. Talk to Liz again and she'll take off for the White Desert. Follow her northeast to the Desert and talk to her again. Answer her question: Elizabeth is her name. She only asks one question, so if she asks you something else don't blame me. There's nothing else to do here, and nothing to fight, so back to... =================== ||ORCALPHIN COAST|| =================== Level up until you're comfortable with the enemies in the grassy area on the other side of the Pirate Cave. There are Blue Dragons that can be quite difficult at this point in the game, so be careful and go back to save regularly. If you finish the Pirate Cave side quest, you will be seriously overleveled for what comes next. Like you care, right? ;) So now when you come to the clearing, go into the back cave(after getting all the treasure in the area, of course). After mining you should have 78 mineral and 5978 MT. Then attack the enemies in the rear. The three ghosts should go down pretty fast if you're at least level 21. Once defeated, you'll receive the light blue wallpaper and the mystery man will tell you that he'll have a better treasure tomorrow. So go somewhere to sleep and come back the next day. Defeat 3 more enemies, even easier than last time, and you'll get a diamond and the promise of tomorrow. So go somewhere to sleep and come back the next day. This time it's 2 smaller enemies with a big guy(Samurai). He's a good bit tougher, so be prepared to use High All and Double High All a few times before you take him down. You'll get Wild Grass for your trouble, and the guy will tell you to come back tomorrow (sensing a pattern?). So go somewhere to sleep and come back the next day. The weird man will be standing by the treasure spot with a big monster. So brace yourself! This guy's tough, especially with only two party members present. For what it's worth, I was level 25 and 24 when I finally did it. For defeating Tyrant, the old man in the cave will give you a Booster Pack and send you on your way. Side quest closed! ============ ||LIFEBORN|| ============ Now that you've defeated Tyrant, go back and talk to Mishell(by the fishing area). Serge greets you and gives you and Copoona new pictures for your OMP. He'll go down the HUGE elevator to a place he calls the "Sea Passage." Follow him down there, then talk to him and a Bravo secretary -- you're only authorized to enter Bravo Company at the moment, it seems. Serge will go up in sparks(oh, no!), and you'll learn that Bravo's experiencing technical difficulties. So go on down the Bravo hall, up the elevator, then into the building. You'll be greeted by another secretary and led to the Bravo Job Center. Talk to the receptionist and ////////////////////////// RANGER 4 STAR TASK 1 BEGIN ////////////////////////// They want you to clean up bugs in their server and storage rooms. You can learn from another receptionist about the Rescue license. You can get it at the Shine Co. Job Center, which you don't have access to yet. You have a room prepared for you on 6F of the residential side of the building, so you can explore the residential area now. Going from the top down... On 8F, a man offers to make you something good if you have 7 sprigs of Wild Grass. At this point, you probably don't. But make a note of it for later if you wish. Same floor, room 5, a man will give you a Micro Patrol item. Apparently it's because he respects that you're a Sweeper. On 6F, you'll run into Kamaro in one of the rooms. He'll become your friend and ask you to find him a Shouprieme flower in a place where spirits live. ////////////////////////////////// KAMARO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// KAMARO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// KAMARO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 3 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// The only other unlocked room on the floor is yours. So make use of it! Once you're rested, go back down to the lobby, and all the way across to the Office Building elevator. It takes you to 6F, and you can't go any higher yet, so go into the room Serge stands in front of. Talk to the guys inside, and they'll tell you the chief is missing. You have to find him. If you talk to others on the floor, you'll learn he likes the museum. So go to the upper museum room w/ the green martini glass fountain and talk to him. Head back to Office 6F, talk to the guys in the room, and the Chief will arrive. He'll let you know that all the red doors are unlocked and you can now proceed to kill all the bugs in the red-roomed doors on all 3 floors. You should be able to finish with little difficulty. Once done, return to the Job Center and they'll tell you to go to the Shine company for your next quota. ///////////////////////////// RANGER 4 STAR TASK 1 COMPLETE ///////////////////////////// Before you go to Shine, go to the roof via the Residential tower and talk to the old man up there. You'll find out he's Chairman Hope. Answer "yes" when he asks if you like to fish, and he'll tell you to come see him again when you're done with your Shine Co. quota. Go inside to be greeted by a receptionist. Oh, and no, you can't get a Rescue License at the moment, either. Boo hoo. There are 3 elevators on the ground floor of Shine. They lead to the Residential, Executive, and Office areas. We'll start with Residential. On 30F room 6 you'll find Chaika's grandpa Gaea and a dog named Fulbar. Talk to Fulbar, then talk to Gaea, and let him know it's your dog. He'll instruct you to talk to Chaika first before he can give you the dog. Room 4 is guarded by a dog(not one of yours). How mysterious. If you go to the roof of the Executive tower, you can meet Elaine and tell her that you like the place. Now go to 6F of the Office Building. There's a Sage near the entrace to the Ranger Station that you should talk to. After talking to him, go the other way past the elevator through the door past the cafeteria and shop. The red door will open for you and let you into the treatment facility. On the far bed, you'll see Ted. You can't treat him, but his dad is standing next to the bed and will ask you to find him medicine. You will. Later. Moving on. Go around the room talking to the Sage beside one of the beds. You can then start fighting the manifested disease Rogues. The Sage will direct you to the 9th floor to learn more about your patients before you try to treat them. On 9F, you will run into Hooks in one of the huge corner offices. He'll tell you to meet him later in Residential area room 2. When you go there, Hooks is there, but he tells you to come back tomorrow. So do so! Talk to him and your friendship will deepen. //////////////////////////////// HOOK FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Now back to treating patients at Shine Office 6F. A man on this floor named Chiba will offer to make you armor in return for 5 diamonds. When you talk to Chaika, she'll fix your communication panel. She'll also ok you to get your dog back from her grandpa. You'll have to go talk to him in the Residential area; then he'll have the dog sent to your Lifeborn residence. He says to fight all the "duplicate yous" on 8F and then to go to the 40F penthouse. The first part is just like the Bravo job. Run around 8F, find the viruses(hidden until you get close), and kill them. From the first fork you get to when first entering Intelligent Sea, the Server Room is the one that's straight ahead(that leads to neither Bravo nor Shine). For this task, you're going to want to stay near the entrance, at least at first. And have your Final Armagebbon and Double High All at the ready in case of emergency. And there will be emergencies. ////////////////////////// RANGER 5 STAR TASK 1 BEGIN ////////////////////////// Your goal? Win 100 battles in the Server Room! Sounds easy, but these are some of the toughest regular enemies in the game. Some really good XP, too, so expect some nice powerleveling if you can stay alive for it. Of course, you will be going back and forth to the nearest save and healing stations quite a lot. ;) So fight your first 99 battles. You'll notice they get a lot easier the closer you get to your goal. Power-leveling! Then save you gave. I've heard there are some bugs regarding the 5 Star rank, so make sure to save before winning the 100th battle just in case! Good thing I did that. It seems at the moment if I get the 5 Star license, it doesn't actually give me the star on my status screen in the OMP. So for now we'll... Go talk to Goldy in the Shine Office Building. He mentions that you can play in the server room before going to Sanctuary for the Paradiso ceremony, but I checked and that's not the trigger that allows you to get the 5th star on your status screen. Oh, well. It looks like we'll have to wait until later. So go to the 40F of the Shine Executive tower to get to the Pod that will take you to Sanctuary! All aboard. ============= ||SANCTUARY|| ============= A greeter will lead you to a desk. Talk to the man behind the desk and he'll tell you to go to the chapel on the far other side of the dome. This dome's pretty small -- just a big circle track with a few paths leading to buildings on the outside edge. This is the only time you'll be able to visit Sanctuary for a long time, so there's a secret code or two you should worry about. Again, I'm only focusing on codes that you can get all you need of. If you can't get all you need of one code, I'll worry about it later. Nature Coat: 2 Pink Sofa -- 1 is along the wall to the left when you first enter the cathedral, and 1 is a code along the wall in the Saint Bedroom(entrance is right beside the 1st Pink Sofa code) at Sanctuary. I'm only including this because the Nature Coat isn't bad at this point in the game. Not bad at all. World Turtle: 1 Folklore Senility -- it's along the center wall of the main circle, actually on one the main support for the giant hourglass art piece that's closest to the cathedral. No other secret codes are really of any interest unless you absolutely want them, so moving on. After exploring the various buildings as much as you want(should take all of a couple minutes; this place is small) go to the cathedral(or back to the cathedral since you probably went in there to get the secret codes already). In the room to the right, you can talk to Sage Crescent and Aizel. They'll direct you to the room on the opposite side of the cathedral -- the Sage's Bedroom. Go to the Sage Bedroom and talk to Sarit. The plot thickens! When you go back to the main room, the two guards previously blocking the door to the back will be replaced with a woman. Walk up to her, and an automatic scene will begin(no, you can't get any secret codes you see right now). After the scene... ========================================== ||ORCALPHIN COAST >>> CRESCENT WASTELAND|| ========================================== After a small scene, part of which takes place on the Orcalphin Coast and part of which takes place in the Great Dunes, you'll be playing as Poleena, the boys' sister! She's the more well-rounded of the siblings. Powerful, but not as powerful as Opoona. And she's good at Force powers, but not quite as good as Copoona. You'll want to level her up a good bit before going anywhere since she starts at only level 7. Creola will awaken you, give you your own OMP with most of Opoona's data copied to it. You'll have all the same licenses he earned, but not most of the items. She'll also give you a Disguise Capsule that will activate automatically when needed. You do have the hoverboard; remember that. But as Poleena you can NOT mine rocks, so if you come across any you'll need to make a note of their location so you can visit them later with the boys. To the west of Creola's house is a beehive that's pretty easy to take down and a guy blocking a path to something. So you can only go east from her house. When you're done fighting and getting the treasures, talk to the guy by the sky pod in the eastern area. Then take the pod to the Holy Wilds. ============== ||HOLY WILDS|| ============== Now you see why I had you skip the items earlier. Anyway, grab the items you can find and make your way north to Paradiso. ============ ||PARADISO|| ============ Yep, you can just walk inside with Poleena's falsified data. And yes, it's directly attached to the Holy Wilds. There are a few sidequest-relevant special codes, so I'll cover those now. World Snake: 2 Muddy Water Gun -- 1 is outside behind the save station. You might have to rotate the camera to see it. 1 is on the outside of Cottage 3 World Elephant: 7 Warm Hot Spring -- 1 is on the outside wall of Cottage 5; 1 is in the bathroom of Cottage 4; 1 is on a tree on the far side of the dome past Bungalow 4; 1 is in the cafeteria behind a plant to the left; 1 is in the Bungalow 4 bathroom; 1 is at the Skypod Station boarding gate; 1 is on the outside of Cottage 3 Yeah, that means to get 1 of the codes listed you'll have to go through the scene with Opoona and Copoona first. So explore a little and then come back to Cottage 5 for a scene. Then grab that final secret code before heading inside. Go inside, try to wake Opoona up, then go back outside and talk to Copoona. Hit him with your bon bon. Follow him when he runs inside, talk to him when you can, and hit him with your bonbon again. You'll regain control in ====================== ||CRESCENT WASTELAND|| ====================== If you're wondering about the name, it's because I don't know the official name for this interconnected series of locations. It's not attached directly to any dome, and if you look at the world map it looks vaguely crescent-shaped, so that's why I chose the name I did. Creola's hut! During this scene, she'll charge you with a mission to find her son, Shagla, and Chaika will join your party(you can't control her). Go outside. Now you can go west. The man blocking the path will let you pass. So go in there and to the left. You can talk to a couple fairies(though one of them might send you back outside), so just go past them to the left to talk to the Wind Aura. Now you'll be able to understand the fairies' speech. The fairy blocking the path north will move out of your way when you answer his question "yes." To the north are two huts. The one of the left has a Sage who'll talk to you about Shagla, Aizel, and Babushca. Leave the hut, go back south, then west to see a new path opened up for you. Exit the forest to the west and you'll come across Save and Heal stations. Also, there'll be beehives to the north and shortly to the west of the stations. Easy beehives, especially with Chaika in your party. Then there will be 2 more beehives a little farther west. Go west one more screen and you'll be stopped by a man. He'll tell you to go to the village of Anemos directly to the left. There's also a bee hive(a bit harder) to the south of the village entrance. If you go far south first, you can find an open cave with some rocks you can mine later. Make a note of the cave! There's also a weird enemy in back of the cave. Defeat it. You can't get the guy inside's treasure yet because you don't know the password. So go to town. If you take the elevator in the middle of town, the people downstairs will tell you a tiny bit about the "rabbit guy" in town and tell you to go talk to Joey for more info on the Earth Cave. Talk to Joey who tells you that he's Kashira, and say "yes" you want to go through the underwater path. He'll become your friend. //////////////////////////////// JOEY FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// He'll then send you to the southern cave to get Dolphin Rock from his brother with the password "are Free." So go south to the cave and a little boy will warn you against going further in. Do so anyway, of course. You'll get some useless junk items after telling the "brother" the password. When you talk to Joey again, he'll send you back to the cave to retrieve info from his brothers' computer. You'll have to fight more enemies to get in. 5 of them. Very tough at this point, but you can probably just Mirror Ball them to death. Go into the cave, check the computer, talk to the brother, and go back to town. Go back to Joey to gain a little more Integrity and another friendship rank. //////////////////////////////// JOEY FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// He wants you to find a Worldrock fragment before he'll trade you the Dolphin Rock. Buy a Mockrock fragment from the bazaar guy in the middle of town for 2000MT. The kid from the cave will show up and trade your Mockrock for a Worldrock! Go talk to Joey again. The real Kashira will finally show up, spoiling Joey's prank. When she asks, tell Kashira that "Creola" sent you and she'll become your friend. /////////////////////////////////// KASHIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 1 ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////////// ALL 20 FRIENDS ARE IN YOUR OMP!!! ///////////////////////////////// She'll also give you the Dolphin Rock, so now you can go back to the cave, only this time go left instead of into the brother's room to get to the Underwater Passage. When you leave Kashira's building, the "rabbit guy" will tell you that he's been spying on you and will take off. Now you can go through the Underwater Passage! It's pretty straight-forward, though there are a couple dead ends and some short offshoot paths to treasure. On B3 a guy will tell you about a rest area to the left. Use it as a home base if you need to level some more. Eventually you'll make it to the Earth Prison, where you'll note there are some rocks to mine later, too. Pull the lever to release Shagla. Talk to him and he'll take you to Creola's House the short way(teleportation). Creola will open up the way to the basement Partizan hideout. Go down there and talk to your Uncle Roidman for a lot of plot-related information. After talking to Creola, Shagla will revive the brothers and all 3 Opoona siblings will be reunited! Roidman will give you a special echo radar, too. When you go upstairs, you'll have to fight Goldy. He'll win. If he doesn't kill you, he'll run out your clock. After a small scene, you're restored and you fight him again. This time you can win pretty easily. If your levels aren't obscenely high like mine are, watch your HP, though. The next day will come automatically. Talk to Creola and Shagla. Creola will tell you to go to Anemos to begin your search for the sages and partizans. Go back to the cave and mine everything, all the way to the 3 rocks in the Earth Prison. You won't meet your quotas, but you'll be pretty darn close after this. =========================== ||HOLY WILDS >>> PARADISO|| =========================== Take the pod east of Creola's house to get here. In the desert portion of the Holy Wilds, you can now fight dancing cactuses. If you want, do so until you get the dancing cacti item. Then head into Paradiso proper. From here let's use the Skypods to do some dome-hopping before moving forward with the story. =========== ||ARTIELA|| =========== You'll find the missable art pieces have changed by now. If they're not there yet, use Roulette Pizzas(available at the pink counter in Lifeborn) to get your Love and Integrity up to 75 each. Then go to TV tower F25 to get your other dog. A guy can only have so much patience. Talk to your dog, and he'll recognize you as his owner. Then talk to the sitting lady in pink and she'll promise to deliver him to your Lifeborn residence! You should also have more than enough fame by this point to do the TV commercial. Go to 30F, talk to the guy at the big desk and tell him you want to audition. Afterwards, talk to him again. Go sleep and come back the next day to hear how bad you did. Then you can buy a Laser Coat from the guy by the window for 56000 MT. =============== ||BLUE DESERT|| =============== Give Subrutskin a dancing cactus and he'll give you a wild grass.

The single Tortoise's Full Speed code that you need can be found on one of the walls on 9F of the Shine Office Building in Intelligent Sea. Anyway, give it to Jingle and he'll tell you to come back tomorrow. Return the next day to get a Sheep Stone and a deeper friendship. ////////////////////////////////// JINGLE FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 2 ACQUIRED ////////////////////////////////// Talk to him again and he'll give you a Peace Carpet and tell you to come back later. Talk to the dog and it'll start a conversation with the boy. If you have a sand weasel, you can trade it for the dog, which will be delivered to your Lifeborn residence. On the other side, a man will tell you to talk to Calvin in hotel room 303. He needs help finding a pickpocket. Calvin will give you some handcuffs. Now to find the pickpocket! Take the rescue pod(behing a cage door) next to the pet shop; you'll end up in the restaurant. Find the big guy with sunglasses and a blue/yellow shirt and talk to him. Choose to cuff him, then you'll be back in Calvin's hotel room. He'll give you a key to the guard room. It's in the hall connecting the dorms and the admin tower. Just grab all 6 of the items there. ============ ||LIFEBORN|| ============ Go talk to Lue in the A4 apartment. So start talking to people. Brooke by the cafeteria food line has the first piece, so talk to her. Selena, the girl in a bikini on the beach, has the second piece of evidence, but you have to talk to her a few times(and say "no" to her question, and possibly go somewhere else and come back after talking to her the first time) before she'll give it up. Now exit Paradiso and walk to the Holy Wilds pod and talk to the attendant on duty. He'll tell you that Mr. Barnes knows something -- the farmer in A21 now, remember? So go to >>lifeborn<< A21 to see him. He'll give up the evidence really easy. So go grab Cub from your residence and go back to >>paradiso<< Paradiso and put the hints together. Brooke's evidence is pretty stupid, but the other 2 pieces leave only one possibility. Orange outfit + topknot. There's only 1 guy in all of Paradiso/Holy Wilds that fits that description -- the guy standing right outside the entrance to Paradiso(or exit to the Holy Wilds depending on how you look at it). So go talk to him to get the full sob story. So now go talk to Mable. You find out she had faith in you from the first time she saw you. ////////////////////////////// DETECTIVE SLEUTH TASK COMPLETE ////////////////////////////// With this, all of the side quests and friendship boosts you can get have been obtained. To get there, you have to walk from Paradiso to the Holy Wilds skypod. It'll then take you to the area just east of Creola's house. If you try to take a pod directly to the Holy Wilds, then the skypod there will just take you back to that dome. Confusing, but remember this for the future. Or you can always use a Pocket Taxi. At this point in the game they're pretty cheap, and you can buy them through your OMP no matter where you are. A note about pocket taxis. At this point, your list of travel locations will have been wiped clean. I think this happens when you're playing as Poleena to keep her from going places she's not supposed to go and the list doesn't get refreshed once the boys are back in your party. So you'll have to visit all your old travel destinations again if you want to add them to your list. Otherwise your pocket taxis aren't nearly so useful. Moving on. Joey's in his normal seat. You also find out that you need the Earth Spirit's help to get through the forest blocking your way to the town of "pure heart" people. You'll have to go to Rock Castle first, though. Exit town and follow the path. Before you get to the cave leading to the Underwater Passage you'll find a huge rock blocking what looks to be another cave. Now you can have Copoona open it and can go inside. Explore the cave and don't forget to mine! In the room with the wooden bridges leading upward, you'll run into a shiny flower -- the Shouprieme Flower! Grab it. Go to the top of this room to initiate a ////////// BOSS FIGHT ////////// With the exception of Poleena, you will be seriously overleveled for this fight. A single Final Armagebbon will get rid of all the smaller enemies. Then just pummel the big guy while making sure Poleena doesn't die. He'll go down very fast. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// With that out of the way, your Mining and Farming quotas should all be fulfilled(if not, explore all mining locations thoroughly to make sure you didn't miss anything). He'll give you a wallpaper and deepen your friendship. ////////////////////////////////// KAMARO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 4 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// KAMARO FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 5 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// Nobody else cares about anything you've done, so back to ======================= ||CRESCENT WILDERNESS|| ======================= Anemos village. Kashira will be surprised that the guy was right about a Sage being able to open up Rock Castle, but that's all that's new. Now take the path down and right and past Rock Castle's entrance to the next area. It's a big slope downward with sad music and a giant thing blocking your path. You'll see the kid who gave you the Worldrock fragment earlier, and he'll reveal himself to be an Earth Spirit. He'll get the giant to let you pass, so continue downward. In the next area are 2 beehives. With all 3 siblings, they're super easy. From this point, you should still be overlevelled with Opoona and Copoona, but you might still need to be a little careful about Poleena(although the gap should begin closing). The path to the right is closed to you for now, so enter the village of Fonthene. You'll notice something funny about the people. You'll even run into Tronc! And in one of the houses is Noix. Pay attention to the lady in yellow -- she can't sell you herbs now, but they'll be important later. If you talk with the Sage, he'll send out a message to let you into the Holy Springs(the blocked off area to the right when you exit the village). When you go there, you'll end up in a small maze called Fairy Pass. It's not that difficult to navigate; just have a little patience and take time to look for items down some of the paths. Go past the Spirit Lake and at the fork go north to the Ancient Ruins(you'll see a glowing yellow light down that way). At the Ruins, you'll see the center door is blocked. You can go into the left or right doors, though. Go in the left door, down some stairs, and then follow the path to a wheel that will operate the doors in front of the center blocked area. Their eyes will turn red. So go back out and take the right door this time, go down 2 sets of stairs, across a hall, up another set of stairs, and the path will lead you straight to the second control wheel -- this time the statues in front of the main entrace will move! So leave the way you came, then go to the center entrance. The path is pretty straight-forward, but make sure to check out all the dead ends for treasure. At the bottom, you'll reach the Holy Spring and there will be some unexpected guests already there -- Babushca and her entourage. She'll leave, and you'll have to fight a couple tough enemies. Big bombs on the field suck, but with the occasional Double High All you should be able to take down both enemies in a minute or so. Overleveling has its advantages. After grabbing the treasures, go back to Fonthene and tell the Chief about the springs going dry. He'll tell you to check on the Water Spirit at Spirit Lake. He'll also mention that you need a talented musician to play the Spirit Song for you. ============ ||PARADISO|| ============ Go to Bungalow 4 to see a scene involving Mussoltus and Mendel. They'll tell you to go back to ======================= ||CRESCENT WILDERNESS|| ======================= Spirit Lake and wait for them. So so and you'll see them by the lake's edge, ready to play. Talk to one of them to get the song going. A boat will appear, and a shining whirlpool in the middle of the lake as well. Answer "yes" to Mussoltus' question, and you'll gain 3 friendship levels with both him and Mendel. ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 5 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 6 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 7 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// MENDEL FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 4 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// MENDEL FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 5 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// MENDEL FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 6 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// Yep, Mussoltus becomes your first 7-level friend! Now they'll leave, and you can't find them again for now, but later on they'll be staying in one of the houses in Fonthene. Also, if you talk to the painter standing nearby, he'll thank you for showing him what he needs to draw. So it's time to go into the Spirit Lake. Walk up to the boat and it'll take you in. It's a sizable cavern, but the "-" button will show you a map if you need it. It's really not complicated. Just make sure not to miss the Stacker 5 in one of the treasure shells. Follow the path and you'll find out the lake's been tainted. When you walk up to the source of dark energy, you'll end up in a battle with Sage Crescent. /////////// BOSS BATTLE /////////// Keep Poleena's HP up, of course. Other than that, you should have no trouble beating Crescent. Have Opoona Final Armagebbon everything as much as he can, then attack normally. The others can focus on healing or attacking as the situation requires. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// You've cleansed the lake, too, and you get to hear a little lesson about why love triangles should be avoided at all costs. Water spirits will now help you in battle sometimes, too. These are the best because they fully restore your health when you hit them. So now it's time to exit the lake. Go back to Fontaine. Check the hut in the back left(not the Chief's hut) to find Mendel and Mussoltus. Talk to Mendel for a friendship boost. ////////////////////////////////// MENDEL FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 7 ACHIEVED ////////////////////////////////// Then talk to Mussoltus for another friendship boost. ///////////////////////////////////// MUSSOLTUS FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 8 ACHIEVED ///////////////////////////////////// It's even nice enough to tell you that this is the highest level when you get it. So now you can move on to the chief's hut. You'll notice Tronc and Noix have skipped town. Talk to the lady in yellow and say you want to buy herbs. Out of gratitude she'll give you a Blue Firefly Herb(for use on sages) and a Red Firefly Herb(for use on normal people). He'll tell you about Partizans and give you the key to the Meditation Tower(east of Spirit Lake and Ancient Ruins). Go to Creola's house and give medicine to Shagla. It won't heal him, but he'll raise everyone's Focus by 10. =================== ||INTELLIGENT SEA|| =================== Now you can give Ted the medicine to save his life. He's in the Shine Office building. Talk to her to find out that they found a way to reverse the energy-sucking powers of the energy cocoons. >>NOTE<< I also decided at this point to give up on ever getting a visible 5th Star via the Server room challenge. So I'm just going to grab the license and move on. =========== ||TOKIONE|| =========== Go to the Hotel and tell the guy in front of the elevator that you'd like to stay the night. Stay the night in room 208. The lady in 305 will now grant you Celebrity status. If you don't have a 5th star yet(I didn't) you will now. There are rumors that you can get a 5th star from the Intelligent Sea Server Room, but I got that license and no star was granted(I tried multiple times at various points in the game to see if this would change). So I think getting a new star only comes with your Class changing. The lady in 302 will make reservations for you at the restaurant(basically a 2000MT Roulette Pizza) if you want. ============ ||LIFEBORN|| ============ You can't even ask Joseph or George to be partizans until you get them talking to each other. So now you can start with one of them(I chose Joseph) and go back and forth a few times until they're on speaking terms again. When you go to the Courtyard, you find out from the farmer on the lowest level that George is in A51, which makes going back and forth much easier. Answer "no" George asks you how Joseph and Mary are. Eventually George will burst in while you're talking to Joseph and they'll be friends again. There's nothing more you need to do for now, so moving on. Go to the walkway overlooking the Courtyard. Now that you have Celebrity status, you can enter the red door. You find out where Yukiha(the girl who used to man the pink counter) ran off to. The white-haird lady, Katherin, will let you become part-owner of the Tokione Hotel for 10000 MT. Yes, it comes with a license! ////////////////////////////////////// ATTENDANT HOTEL OWNER RANK ACHIEVED!!! ////////////////////////////////////// =========== ||ARTIELA|| =========== You can return the Stacker art to the Museum by talking to the lady at the purple counter. Don't forget to go into the hall behind her and actually look at its podium to have it added to your OMP Art list. ======================= ||CRESCENT WILDERNESS|| ======================= It's time to work on our friendship levels with Kashira and Joey, so let's go back to Anemos now. Talk to Joey. Answer "yes" to his questions and he'll tell you to go talk to Kashira, who's in the underground area of town. Talk to Kashira, then return to Joey. He'll deepen your friendship. //////////////////////////////// JOEY FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 4 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Now he wants more information. When you leave the house, the "rabbit man" will greet you. He'll seem strange. When he leaves, continue on to Kashira. She refuses to tell you any more about Terry until she knows who you're asking for. When you go up to the main part of town, you'll be greeted by Joey's brother. He'll tell you that Joey ran off to their private cave with the "rabbit man." So go there and fight a short battle. A single Final Armagebbon will take down most of the enemies, and another hit or two should be all you need to take out the one that might remain standing. The "rabbit man" will regain his senses and take off for Paradiso. You'll automatically go back to Anemos with Joey. Tell him "yes" when he asks you to keep this to yourself and he'll deepen your friendship. //////////////////////////////// JOEY FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 5 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// Go to the basement of town where Joey now is and ask him to be a Partizan. He'll deepen your friendship again. //////////////////////////////// JOEY FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 6 ACHIEVED //////////////////////////////// He won't actually become a partizan, but he'll tell you to ask Kashira about energy cocoons. Talk to her, and she'll deepen your friendship. /////////////////////////////////// KASHIRA FRIENDSHIP LEVEL 3 ACHIEVED /////////////////////////////////// Talk to Joey a couple times and he'll tell you his concern about not being stronger. He says he should ask Kashira to train him. Talk to Kashira and tell her what part of Joey you want her to focus on. It doesn't really matter which one you choose. Then go sleep for the night and talk to her the next day. Enter the Tower and head up the stairs. The 4 spirit Auras will meet you at the top, and will infuse you with a Light Aura. You all gain 7 Power. ==================================== ||ORCALPHIN COAST >>> DARK BURROWS|| ==================================== Now that you have the Light Aura, you can safely ride the Orcalphin to the Dark Burrows. Approach it and it'll give you the choice of where to go, so choose "Dark Burrows" of course. Once there, walk up to see Tronc and Noix setting up the Burrows side of the portal. Now you can head back to the Partizan Hideout under Creola's House via this portal. ======================= ||FRIENDSHIP OVERVIEW|| ======================= You've now done almost everything that can be done prior to the very endgame. However, if you get a message telling you what kind of Partizan they are and what stat they will boost, then you already have as much friendship with them as you can get and saying "yes" after that message will actually cause them to go off to the Partizan hideout. You can't fire someone as a Partizan later, so be careful if you're trying to get all of your friendships as high as possible. She's tired, though, so come back the next day and she'll be by Onimura's bedside again but full of energy. She also says to give her a week, so go sleep for 7 days and come back. At this point, choose the 7 friends you want to put their lives on the line for you in the Dark Burrows. As far as the main story goes, it doesn't make much of a difference, but some friends will say different things and/or award you friendship levels based on whether or not you chose them as one of your "final 7." I will detail the differences in the POSTGAME section below. So once you've chosen your "final 7," it's time to go to ======================================== ||CRESCENT WILDERNESS >>> DARK BURROWS|| ======================================== Creola's House. Now that you've selected your Partizans, you can use the warp in the Partizan Hideout to get to Dark Burrows without having to go to Orcalphin Coast. You'll see your 7 Partizans in the hideout and can talk to them if you wish. Then step through the warp into the dark Burrow, save if you're feeling nervous, and head up the stairs into the Dark Burrow proper. Like all of the other dungeons so far, this one is pretty straight-forward with a few offshoot paths that lead to some items. Continue through each small area to a Cocoon room, where 1 of your Partizans will greet you and step into the cocoon. This will grant you a small bonus to one of your stats and open up the door to the next small area. It will also initiate a small battle that you should have no trouble beating. Be very careful in one of the areas -- between the 5th and 6th cocoon, there will be a room with treasure off one dead end path. This room contains Apocalypse 2, the hardest enemy in the game! What makes it so tough is that it can cast Armagebbon on you repeatedly, which quickly drains your life. It can be beaten, but it requires you to be very fast on the draw and quick to heal. After 7 cocoons, you will finally come to Babushca's chamber. Walk up and go through a quick scene, then you will fight Aizel. ////////// BOSS FIGHT ////////// Aizel will be hiding behind enemies called "Foggy." Destroy enough of the Foggies to clear a path to Aizel. Synchrothunder is great for this! He's strong against head-on attacks, so curve your bon bon. I found curving it up overhead to be particularly effective. Make sure to keep everyone's health up while you wail away on him. Soon enough he'll topple. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// After another short scene, it'll be time for the real ultimate boss fight with Babushca. ////////// BOSS FIGHT ////////// At first, she'll be surrounded by what look to be bone guardians. They'll form a shield around her, but they will also move up and down and depending on their location you can arc bonbons over or under them to get to Babushca. Then the bone guardians will form into legs and transport Babushca around. At this point you can just arc bonbons up and over and hit her easily. Next the bone guardians will form claws to the side of Babushca. At this point, it's really easy to hit her. Finally the bone guardians will free themselves and begin flying around. You cannot attack Babushca at this point. You should have plenty of FP for Opoona to get off 2 or 3 Final Armagebbons, which should be more than enough to take down the guardians. Finally, Babushca will be alone and her sphere will be cracked. Just fire your bonbon at it until it breaks. ///////////// BOSS DEFEATED ///////////// Congratulations, you have beaten the main game of Opoona! Sit back and relax for a bit. Then after a short scene you will be ============ ||EPILOGUE|| ============ back on your ship, heading back to Tizia! Talk to everyone, and be sure to save your progress on the far right monitor in the cockpit room! Finally, talk to Dadeena and say "yes" to blast off at warp speed. Watch the credits(or just reset if you've already seen them; the important thing is that you saved your data on the monitor before doing so), then when you're back at the title screen, load your saved data to play the ============ ||POSTGAME|| ============ The postgame takes place between the time you defeat Babushca and your family leaves for Landroll. You can now visit all of your friends, who will say different things based on whether or not you chose them as one of your "Final 7." You can also finish the Art Coordinator license now that you have access to Sanctuary. In fact, that is where you begin when you load the save you made on your ship. You can do the following things in whichever order you prefer, so I will cover them in small lists for ease of reference. =================== ||FINAL 7 FRIENDS|| =================== Here is what will happen when you talk to a friend if you chose him/her to be a member of your "final 7." >>TED<< He'll say he's become on idol, and if you tell him you're leaving for Landroll he'll get mad. Talk to him a couple more times and he'll apologize. When he worries if you're not going to forgive him, say "no" and he'll be so thankful he'll deepen your friendship. Final friendship 8. >>MIRA<< She compares you to High Tech Girl. Final friendship 8. >>JINGLE<< He calls you Big Brother. He warns of the threat of King Jagdeel (the one who sent the Dark Bonbon to take over Tizia) and talks about his father being a superior Rogue Collector. Final friendship 8. >>MASAO<< Masao has been told to come home, and feels his quest is a failure. Say "yes" he saved the world and he'll be satisfied for now. But he warns you that you might be enemies later if you try to keep his Queen Koniko away from the Dark Arts. Final friendship 8. >>MAC<< He's wondering about Janet, and thanks you for helping make his restaurant popular. Final friendship 8. >>MISHELL<< She's glad the ocean controlled by the rogues will be blue once more, and believes it will happen during her lifetime. Final friendship 8. >>JOEY<< He'll be sore and whining about how Shagla is gone, but he'll also thank you and tell you that you did great. Final friendship 8. >>MENDEL<< After talking about his short life as a fugitive, he'll then talk about Aizel's funeral and how he had the same look on his face as Rosa did when she died. He feels sorry for Aizel being used by Crescent and Babushca, and wants to create a great instrument with which to play music to put Aizel and Shagla at peace. Final friendship 8. >>JOSEPH<< He reminisces about the Sand Weasel and says you came quite a ways and he feels refreshed today. Final friendship 8. >>ANGIE<< Angie thanks you for giving her courage, says she feels you're going far away soon. Then she guesses that you're going back to Tizia. But even if you're far away she'll still do her best to be a great star so that you can be proud of her when you meet again. Final friendship 8. >>LUE<< she's glad to be your friend, likes that you respect life, and gives you heart-shaped cookies. Final friendship 8. >>HOOK<< He think you're trying to figure him out before he leaves. He decides to keep his true identity and the nature of his research secret and deepens your friendship 2 levels. Final friendship 8. >>INE<< He wasn't impressed by the artistic merit of the Dark Burrow and likes your ukulele better. He'll tell his people on Nikoniko how good your ukulele is when he goes back. He doesn't know when the next ship to Nikoniko is coming, though, and guesses a year or two. Final friendship 8. >>KASHIRA<< She talks about how Shagla used the energy he got from the blue firefly for them instead of for himself, says he's the best sage on the planet, and thinks that sages could do to be a little more selfish sometimes. He says you mended his friendship with Joseph and he didn't expect to experience anything exciting at his age. He also vows to live on even longer so that he can explore the new wildlands that have opened up since you defeated Babushca. Then he asks if your parents have gone yet and says that your home should be important to you like Lifeborn is to him. Then he says he's going to open up a huge field in the wildlands named Opoona Farm in dedication to you. Then he says composers compose more music because they're greedy. They want to compose something better than what they've already experienced. He will continue to travel and write music. First it's time to get the secret codes in Sanctuary to complete a few pieces. >>sanctuary<< Sho-Gi Unicorn: 3 Wrinkling Cream -- 1 behind a chair at the Sanctuary skypod entrance(the room with the desk), 1 in the Cathedral meditation room, and 1 to the right just inside of the previously blocked Cathedral door. >>tokione<< Sho-Gi Wife: 4 Backward Read -- This one is actually in Tokione, but you needed access to the hotel and it doesn't really matter when you get it so I saved it for now. 1 is in room 208 of the hotel, 1 is in the Center Aisle near the skypad area, 1 is at the top of the theatre on floor 2F of the Starhouse(the one with musical notes on the sign by the door), and 1 is by the information monitors on 4F of Starhouse(where you first learned about Secret Codes). >>artiela<< If you've been exploring the world thoroughly and got all the secret codes I mentioned throughout this FAQ you are ready to return another art piece to the museum. So go there and talk to the lady behind the purple desk. If you're still missing some of the secret codes, check out the excellent secret code list at delstar.org or try to find the places where I mentioned secret codes in this walkthrough -- your choice. Once you've given "The World" to the receptionist, go into the hall behind her and check the podium beside the now-filled display. If you've been diligent about exploring the world and didn't miss the 2 missable art pieces your first time in the Artiela museum(and didn't forget to go back later to get the 2 new pieces that replaced them), your art book should be almost completely filled. Only 1 entry should be missing. You should also have all but 1 of the Sho-Gi pieces. To get the last one, go to >>lifeborn<< apartment B51 and talk to the man in there. If you have all but 1 of the Sho-Gi pieces, which you should, and have viewed all of the art in the world, which you also should have done, he will give you the final Sho-Gi piece. You have to answer his question with "yes" and have a high enough Arts score(shouldn't
be a problem at this point) to convince him that it's worth considering his ancestor's artwork. Answer the next question "no" to get him to see that targeting kids with art isn't childish and disgraceful at all. He'll give you the Sho-Gi King. You technically don't have to have all the other Sho-Gi pieces for him to give you this, but if you've been following this guide you should have them already anyway. So now return to >>artiela<< the museum and give the Sho-Gi to the receptionist at the purple desk. Since this is the 3rd and final art work that you had to retrieve for this little quest, she will give you a new license. //////////////////////////////// COORDINATOR ART RANK ACHIEVED!!! //////////////////////////////// She will also give you a wallpaper. Since all the wallpapers are in treasure chests or given as part of the main quest and various subquests detailed above, you should have all of the wallpapers now. You can change them by going to Settings in the OMP. Don't forget to go into the hall and look at the Sho-Gi sculpture's podium. Now the Artwork section of the OMP is complete! ========================== ||ROGUE OBSERVER LICENSE|| ========================== If you look at your licenses in the OMP, you should notice that you have 2 "Rogue Observer" licenses -- Apprentice and Journeyman. To get the 3rd and final Rogue Observer license, you have to have encountered and defeated every single Rogue in the game. Except for Apocalypse 2, I have not provided much in the way of Rogue locations. There is a Rogue location guide on GameFAQs that is more than adequate. My suggestion is to go to the Rogues section of the OMP, compare your list with the numerical list in the Rogue Location FAQ to find out what you're missing, and then use ctrl+f in order to quickly discover what location(s) the missing rogues can be found at. Then go find them! Once you've defeated at leats 1 of all of them, check your OMP license list. ///////////////////////////////////////// ROGUE OBSERVER PROFESSOR RANK ACHIEVED!!! ///////////////////////////////////////// Talking to Jingle or the people at the AAA floor of the TV Tower doesn't do anything even though they all mentioned Jingle's Rogue Book at one point or another. =============================== ||INTERESTING POSTGAME EVENTS|| =============================== The following sections will detail anything big you might want to keep an eye out for during your postgame travels. It won't cover every little bit of new dialogue available. A lot of people have new dialogue, and a lot don't. I'll be visiting the domes and other locations in this order -- Tokione, Lifeborn, Artiela, Intelligent Sea, Paradiso & Holy Wilds(since they're physically connected), Sanctuary, Blue Desert, Orcalphin Coast, the Crescent Wilderness beginning at Creola's Hut and working my way around the crescent to Fonthene, and finally the Dark Burrows. =================== ||INTELLIGENT SEA|| =================== Chaika has more new stuff to say than just about anyone else up to this point. =========================== ||PARADISO >>> HOLY WILDS|| =========================== You'll notice a lot of people have left. Mable has a bit to say about a visit from Kamaro and what it means. Talk to Watt to find out whom he's friends with. Very mysterious. Rabbit man is in Cottage 3! ============= ||SANCTUARY|| ============= Go up the elevator that you can now reach at the back of the Cathedral to initiate a scene with Goldy. Your parents are no longer in the western hut, and you can talk to one of the attendants there to find out why they took so long to recover. Sarit will congratulate you in the Sage Room of the Cathedral. ======================= ||CRESCENT WILDERNESS|| ======================= Creola will talk about her two sons and Babushca, and she'll congratulate you and say something foreshadowing a potential sequel. *crosses fingers* ================ ||DARK BURROWS|| ================ You can now explore the Dark Burrows freely. If you go all the way to the end, you can fight Babushca again. This begins a cycle in which you wake up on your ship, can save the game on the far right minitor, and load that saved data to start at Sanctuary. You can repeat this cycle as many times as you like.
