Walkthrough - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - First thing's first, you have to choose which Smurf you wish to smurf--er, I mean, use for this smurf. I mean game. And with that, I am done doing that joke as I am already annoyed by it. Anyway, these are your choices at the beginning of the game for which Smurf you can use: Papa Clumsy Grouchy Vanity These Smurfs can be unlocked later: Brainy Gutsy Jokey Hefty Smurfette They are unlocked by beating various bosses in the game. Each Smurf has their own special ability that is unique to them. To activate their ability, press X. Upon choosing your Smurf, you are free to roam around the village. There is nothing to do here besides bounce on some mushroom houses or mess with the underwater portal if that tickles your fancy. When you're ready to go to the first world, head to the portal at the south part of the village. Also note that the other Smurfs are dotted around the village and you can take control of them as well if you wish. When starting the next level, the game will ask you to choose your Smurf again anyway, so it doesn't really matter at this juncture. ================ ENCHANTED FOREST ================ - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Trigger True Blue [ ] Collect at least 50 berries [ ] Only use Smurfette The first level of the Enchanted Forest is obviously one that teaches you the basic concepts behind the game. Before I get into all that goes on within this level, however, it is probably prudent to mention what is written above this paragraph. Above this paragraph are three goals. Each level in the game has three goals that you can accomplish to fully complete the level, besides collecting all of the Smurf coins in each level, which is similar to the Star Coins in the New Super Mario Bros. franchise. Anyway, the first goal box asks you to trigger the True Blue Smurf ability. This ability is activated by defeating enemies and collecting the vials of potion that come from the enemies. In the first level, two different enemies will be encountered. They are beetles and hummingbirds. Like in many platformers, to defeat these enemies, you need to jump on their heads. Jump on their heads and then be sure to hang around to grab the vial. Upon filling up the vial that appears all the time on the upper right corner of the screen, "True Blue" is activated, which causes all the berries to begin bigger and therefore worth more in regards to the total amount of berries that you have collected. Speaking of berries, these are dotted all over the level. If you have 50 by the time the level ends, then you're in good shape for accomplishing that second goal. Berries are very easy to collect, but the thing is, being hit by an enemy causes you to lose all the berries collected so far. It's kind of like Sonic, in that taking damage while having berries means that you still get a chance to live, whereas getting hit while having no berries means you die. You have a chance to recover some of your lost berries after being hit as well. Upon taking damage, you will be stuck in a little bubble. Press A to get out of the bubble and gather up as many of your lost berries as you can before you continue. Finally, the last box on the list is to beat this level using only Smurfette. Different Smurfs need to be used for different tasks in this game, but I favor Papa Smurf because I like his ability to freeze enemies, which is very handy in making enemies much easier to defeat. Unfortunately for those with OCD, you won't be able to fully complete this first level at this point in the game. In fact, it won't be until you defeat Gargamel at the end of the game that you can come back and complete this mission fully. Anyway, as for the actual contents of the level, there's not much to mention. The game will teach you all the basics when you walk into the various floating books in the level. Little tutorial pictures pop up with brief explanations as well. You'll encounter various items, including the ones already mentioned, as well as mushrooms that make a bunch of berries fall out of the sky as well as an hourglass that freezes all the enemies on screen at once. Big red mushrooms are used for extra bounce to reach higher areas and hard to reach berries and coins. When dealing with hummingbirds, note that they move from left to right to the different raspberry bushes, so you need to time your encounters with them just right to avoid being hit while they swoop. If you have the height on them, waiting until they get to the raspberry bush closest to you and then jumping on their head from that point is the easiest way to go about it. White flowers can be used to ride up to higher areas. Just stand on them and they will begin spinning and rising. Besides all that, there's not much else to say about this level since this is a 2D platformer and all you're doing is moving from left to right, doing the obvious since this is the first level and there's not much else I can say. Except for the final part of the level. Gargamel shows up via spooky sky portal and blasts the ground in two areas. The blasts move slowly so that you have a lot of time to dodge them. Just hug the left or right side of the screen and you will definitely not be hit as Gargamel shoots the blasts in a way that creates three islands; one to the left, one in the center, and one to the right. This pretty much marks the end of the level, save for a few berries to gather up along the way. The end of the level is marked by a red sign post that is pointing to the right. Walk off screen to complete the first level of the game and learn how well you did. Your high score and your team high score (what you get when playing in co-op) will be recorded. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds [ ] Collect at least 75 berries [ ] Only use Papa Much shorter than the level that proceeds it, this level does add some new threats. These threats are bees, and they are annoying. They will stay in one spot, charge, and then return to the spot. They are very fast. By the way, a little tip in regards to enemies, watch for them to have a sort of electrified look to them, and that means they are about to attack, so be ready to dodge. Other than that, this level is pretty straight-forward. There is one section where there is a secret area I should tell you about. You'll come to a section where there is a drop, a red mushroom to bounce, a bee at the top, and then another drop after the bee. Go into the drop and you'll find that you can move through the center piece of ground to find some berries and a coin. As for the extra objectives, it's all self-explanatory except for maybe the top one. To "keep" True Blue, you simply have to avoid taking damage. One way to get this would be to activate True Blue and then to simply stand still until it runs out. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 20 enemies [ ] Collect at least 100 berries [ ] Only use Clumsy Despite preferring Papa Smurf, I went with Clumsy this time around just because of how easy it is to complete the level 100% using him. He satisfies one of the objectives, after all. Clumsy's ability is that by pressing X, he does a sort of roll forward. By pressing X in the air, he will kind of dive bomb to the ground. The top objective may be a little bit confusing. It says "free" the enemies, but what could that possibly mean? Well, "freeing" the enemies is the equivalent of jumping on their heads. No, you're not really "killing" them so to speak in typical video game terms...you are freeing them from their Gargamel control. This level introduces the grasshoper as an enemy. He stands in place and then jumps up. They are easier to deal with than the bee, and probably the easiest enemies you encounter that aren't the beetles. In the meantime, there are also red flowers in this level, which are platforms in which you jump on them and then they disappear seconds later. You'll come to a point in the level with berries floating in the air and thusly forming an arrow pointing to the right. Gather up the berries and then continue to have another encounter with Gargamel. This time he will enchant a frog to spit poison bubbles at you. The bubbles move very slow and you can easily jump over them. Avoid the big green bubbles and then you can continue forward. There's a bit more berry collecting to do, but you'll very quickly come up to the red sign post pointing to the right and then youc an finish the level. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 10 enemies [ ] Collect at least 150 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 15 seconds A new platforming mechanic is tossed in the mix here. There is a couple of gaps with windstreams that you can use to ride to the top of areas. There's also a crown that actually appeared a couple of levels ago (sorry about that, mate) which functions basically exactly like the Star in Super Mario Bros. It will make you invincible for a short period of time and you can just run right into enemies to ki--er, save them. Otherwise, very straight-forward level. By the numbers, with no new enemy types introduced. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] Do not free any enemies [ ] Collect at least 100 berries [ ] Score 300 points on Tally Screen The shortest level thus far. Nothing new introduced, except there is a stretch in the middle where Gargamel will blast the ground repeatedly and you have to keep jumping to avoid falling through the holes created in the ground as a result of his meddling. By the way, the third objective means the end-level stat results that combines all your accomplishments into a single score. Getting 300 points isn't hard, but since you get points for "freeing" enemies, completing the first objective of not defeating any enemies and getting all 300 points can be a bit tricky. You may have to do this level twice. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active Vexy gets away, and then you have to fight with the frog from earlier. This time he has a few more tricks up his sleeve. He will shoot his green bubbles, and then he will try to spit his tongue at you. These are all easily avoided. He then jumps in the air and attempts to crash down on you, which is a bit tougher to avoid because of how fast he is. There is a shadow on the ground that indicates where he will land, so use that for reference. When he's done, he will be dazed with his mouth hanging open. The blue arrow pointing down on his head indicates that you need to go over and jump on him to damage him. He will then repeat the cycle of attacks, but be more aggressive, with two tongue lashes and more attempts at squashing you. Hit him again and he will then repeat the attacks for a third time, with everything in threes. If he gets to be a too much of a problem, I discovered a trick with dealing with the frog. You can just constantly jump on his head to never have to worry about him crushing you or anything. It's a handy trick, especially if you've been having problems fighting him up to this point. ============ SPOOKY WOODS ============ - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Trigger no True Blues [ ] Only use Vanity [ ] Trigger True Blue With a new world comes a bunch of new enemies, so let me explain what you will be encountering in this level. There are these annoying mole creatures that come out of the ground and pose a threat, plus bats flap around across the screen as well. These guys are actually the easier threats in the level. The most irritating of the new enemies comes in the form of these new purple beetles that cover themselves in spikes every few seconds. You have to be very careful when dealing with them because it's a lot easier to take damage when doing trying to jump on it. Gargamel interrupts the end of the stage by shooting three blasts at the ground, in effect creating four islands. Once again, the blasts move very slow from the top to the bottom of the screen, so there is plenty of time to avoid them. This encounter with Gargamel will mark the end of the level once you walk forward a bit more and off the screen. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] Trigger at least 3 True Blues [ ] Collect at least 3 Smurf Coins [ ] Score 100 points on Tally Screen Some more new enemy types in this one. First, there are these purple spiders that drop down on their webs and then slowly climb back up them. Then there are these blue slugs that split off into two smaller slugs when you jump on them. You'll want to get the three True Blues to complete the first objective for this level, so don't go on a mass bug-stomping spree or anything. Get a True Blue, wait for it to stop, then go about collecting the vials for a second True Blue, and then finally a third. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 10 enemies [ ] Collect at least 100 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 30 seconds This level is actually really uneventful for the first stretch. It doesn't get interesting until Azrael is sent after you. Azrael is Gargamel's orange cat that is hanging out behind a boulder in the background. For some reason, she summons skulls to fall from the sky on you. As they appear above, you can tell where they will be which gives you a better chance at avoiding them as they fall. When Azrael fails to attack you, keep moving forward and you will find a bunch of yellow flowers. The yellow flowers, similarly to the red and white, have unique attributes about them. These ones will spin across the screen until they run into something, providing very handy platforms for you to traverse the woods. I recommend using Brainy Smurf for this level. He was unlocked by beating the boss in the Enchanted Forest, and his ability, which is basically a super jump activated at any time by pressing X (and in mid-air as well, so jumping first with A and then pressing X can ensure you get pretty much anywhere) makes rounding up all the berries and coins in this level a breeze. If my calculations are correct, of course. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Trigger at least 3 True Blues [ ] Take damage less than 6 times [ ] Keep True Blue for 50 seconds Lots of enemies in this level, basically so you can get the 50 seconds True Blue third objective completed. Lots of leaves will come flying from the right side of the screen, so watch for that as you move through the level. You will come to a point where there are four bees positioned in the center of an area with a coin at the top. You'll know you're at the right spot because it is the only part of the level with bees at all. You should pick Papa Smurf for this one because if you throw his freezing potion at the ground underneath them while all of them are in their default positions in the center of the area. When they are frozen, you can use them to get to the coin. Just bounce off the heads of each one until you get to the top. The screen right after this one features a bunch of stone platforms that are lit up like enemies. This means that if you walk on them, they will crumble. You can follow them and jump into the wall they lead to in order to find a hidden stash of berries. At that point you just have to keep walking to the right to finish the level up. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] Collect at least 100 berries [ ] Only use Brainy [ ] Collect all the Smurf Coins By now the formula should become clear. This level 5 is similar to the level 5 in the Enchanted Forest. Yes, the enemies are different, but for the most part it is the same song and dance. At the end of the level, Gargamel will return to blast up parts of the ground just like last time. Really the only thing new to mention here is that the bees have a new attack. They will spike downward when you walk underneath them. I guess they probably always had this attack, but this is the first time that it's actually relevant because they are positioned above you at some points during this level. If you didn't follow my guide for the last level, you probably would've encountered this already. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active Azrael is a much more interesting boss fight than the toad. She will start by trying to smash you. Use her shadow to avoid her, and then you can jump on her back to deal damage. The next thing she'll do is try to smash you some more, and then she will summon a skull to knock at you. Jump over the skull, and then jump over it again when it bounces off of the dresser behind you to avoid being run over by the skull. She will also summon skulls from the sky, but these are easily avoided as well. She will get tired and try to attack you again, so jump on her. Then she will go through the process again, but at some point, one of her skulls will actually break the bottom drawer. Go through this drawer and then follow the berries to the top of the cupboard. Jump off the cupboard onto the unsuspecting Gargamel's back. She will not be defeated just yet, but she will try to attack again. Avoid her, then jump on her one final time to defeat Azrael. ======== NEW YORK ======== - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Trigger True Blue [ ] Collect at least 150 berries [ ] Only use Brainy And now for something completely different. Up until this point in the game, all the levels have been side-scrolling 2D levels moving from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. In this level, the goal is to reach the top. the screen will constantly be moving up, so you can't hang around for too long. Hold A when jumping on the many balloons to bounce up very high and to continue. There are a lot of bees in this level, but they are easily avoided. Another thing to keep in mind here is the bubble machine that appears in the middle of the level. If you get stuck in a bubble, it basically lets you use it to get to the very top as long as you avoid running into any obstacles or enemies along the way. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] Collect all the Smurf Coins [ ] Free at least 25 enemies [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds After the quirky twist on the last level, this one is back to the normal side-scrolling, except with the added balloons that New York brings to the table. Of course, at the end of this level Gargamel blasts the ground so that there are only four islands with which to traverse on. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Collect at least 150 berries [ ] Free less than 10 enemies [ ] Do not die Avoid killing enemies so that you can complete all the objectives. There are annoying rats in this level that crawl around on platforms that make jumping from platform to platform a real hassle, so watch out for those. Gargamel's evil Smurfs will stomp the ground and cause a bunch of debris to fall out of the sky. This stuff is easily avoided by, yet again, paying attention to the shadows on the ground. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Collect all the Smurf Coins [ ] Only use Gutsy [ ] Break at least 20 rocks This level asks you to use Gutsy for one of the objectives because this level is based all around Gutsy's special ability. He dashes forward, which is can be used to break many of the grey stones in the level. There are sequences of enemies in trios that are ripe for Gutsy to just rush through all of them. In about the middle of the level, you will find a green apple. Push the apple to the center and use it to bounce to the ceiling to find a hidden Smurf Coin. Right after that, you come to a part that uses the bubble machine. Get inside the bubble and then backtrack a bit and go up to the ceiling. You'll then find another hidden ceiling and a hidden Smurf Coin. There is another bubble machine right after this one that can be used, but you can also bounce off the frog to get up higher. If you are using Brainy, you can jump higher and not even use the bubble machines if you don't want to. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] Vanity and Clumsy in 2-player co-op [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds [ ] Collect all the Smurf Coins Speaking of Gutsy, he makes this level much easier as well. There are a bunch more stone blocks to break through, which makes Gutsy the obvious Smurf to pick. Also, there are red gems hidden in the blocks that you can grab to kill every enemy on the screen. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active Gargamel's evil Smurfs fight in tandem in this fight. To start with, they both try to throw candy on your head. Avoid the candy and then the evil Smurf on the right will drop down to fight with you. Jump on her head, and then the Smurf on the left will then drop down to attack. This guy has two lollipops that he swings like baseball bats. Try to jump near the back of his head to deal damage to him. He will lose one lollipop, and then you can jump on the back of his head again to make him lose his other lollipop. The two of them will then start stomping on the ground to make stuff fall from the sky. Avoid them and jump on their heads some more until they are both defeated and float away in a bubble. ============= ARCTIC TUNDRA ============= - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Have at least 2 players active [ ] Keep True Blue for 45 seconds [ ] Score 100 points on Tally Screen Okay, as with each new world, a ton of new stuff is thrown in at the first level of the game. For this one, you'll notice new blue gems on the ground. The red gems, remember, kill all the enemies on the screen. The blue gems make transparent platforms whole so that you can use them. Be fast in this level. Hit a blue gem and then just keep moving forward as briskly as you can, otherwise you won't be fast enough, the platforms will turn transparent, and then you will fall to your death. New enemies are introduced as well, such as a giant crab, but he can be easily defeated just by jumping on his head like the other enemies in the game. Gargamel shows up at the end to blow things up like usual. This time he will favor the left side of the screen, so just stand in the middle and you should be able to avoid his blasts just fine. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] Do not free any enemies [ ] Free at least 20 enemies [ ] 4-player co-op using only Brainy A new twist is added on the blue gems in this level. This time you have to turn the platforms both on and off in order to keep advancing through the level. There's no puzzle solving or anything. Just touch every blue gem that you see and then you will be fine. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Take no damage [ ] Free all enemies [ ] 2-player co-op using only Smurfette This level is heavy with enemies. It's pretty much just an enemy fest all the way through to the part with Gargamel. Gargamel will enchant a polar bear that will then summon big blue spikes from the ground. Watch the ground for a blue dust-like indicator and that is where the blue spikes will rise. I found being right in front of the polar bear was really the safest place. You can actually just jump in the air as Vanity, then hold X and keep doing his special move to be completely safe if you'd rather go that route, or use Brainy to avoid the spikes easily as well with his super jump. After the encounter with the polar bear, the level is not quite done yet. You have to keep moving forward a little more where you will find a bunch of stone platforms rotating Super Mario World style. Ride those to the right and then jump off to more breakable platforms. If you are playing in co-op, you need to be in synch during this section or you're going to lose a lot of lives and berries as a result. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Collect at least 300 berries [ ] Score 250 points on Tally Screen [ ] Only use Hefty This level is surprisingly short and doesn't really add much to the formula set up by the previous three levels. There is a bird nest that can be used to bounce up to higher places, but that is just like the other bouncy objects you have already encountered. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] 2-player co-op using only Brainy [ ] Collect at least 150 berries [ ] Score 100 points on Tally Screen Another short, easy, though enemy-heavy level. There are hardly any platforming challenges to worry about either. Hell, when Gargamel shows up he just talks for a second and then disappears in his portal again. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active The fight with the Polar Bear is easy, but the Polar Bear has a variety of moves. He will attempt to make those blue ice spikes hit you, but those are telegraphed so even when they become very intense near the end, they are still dodged pretty easily. His other attacks are that he tries to headbutt you, though he always does this in the middle until the last round, which he will then start at the left, then the right, then the middle in order to attack. The bear will also shoot ice breath. You can avoid the ice breath just by jumping over it. The bear will then trip on the ice and you can jump on his snout to damage him. Each round, his attacks will double and become more aggressive. Keep jumping on his snout when he trips on the ice. The final time, you will jump on the snout and then have to jump on it again in order to defeat him. =========== LAVA JUNGLE =========== - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 10 enemies [ ] Collect at least 50 berries [ ] Only use Jokey Whereas the first level of all the other worlds featured a lot of differences and new enemies, this first level of the Lava Jungle only adds bigger versions of already seen enemies. Gargamel will do his typical ground breaking stuff at the end as well. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 20 enemies [ ] Collect at least 75 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds This level introduces balancing platforms. If you are playing in solo, then these are inconsequential and will really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. In co-op, you may need to work together a little bit better in order to get through this one without too many headaches. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 20 enemies [ ] Collect at least 50 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 30 seconds This level introduces rocks on the balance beams that need to be pushed. There is also the boss the Phoenix introduced. This dude will shoot fireballs at you, but once again, they are telegraphed. So really just move out of the way of the indicator on the ground to avoid being blasted by fireballs. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Do not free any enemies [ ] Collect at least 150 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 15 seconds Don't even know what to say for this level. Just go to the end of it, and try to avoid hitting any enemies so you can complete the top extra objective. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] Do not free any enemies [ ] Collect at least 175 berries [ ] Only use Clumsy You've probably noticed the purple bulbs at this point. I haven't mentioned them before because they don't show up in great capacity until this level, so just let me go over what they do. When you jump in them, they will bounce from left to right. Press A again to be launched out of the bulb in whatever direction it is facing, kind of like the barrels from Donkey Kong games. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active Ready for a fight with a Phoenix?! The Phoenix will shoot fireballs that can be avoided by looking at the gaps between them. The Phoenix will also a flamethrower-like attack from its mouth that will cause fire to spread out all across the screen. Jump on its head when it falls to the ground. For the final blow, you will have to jump on its head twice. As always, each time you do damage to the Phoenix, its attacks will become more aggressive and it will be a bigger and bigger pain in the neck. At the end of each boss fight, a present appears in mid-air. Typically, getting the present signals the unlocking of another playable Smurf. For this time around, it actually destroys every blue block in the world. You've probably noticed the big blue blocks in each level already, but now that you have defeated the Phoenix, you can go back to old levels and get Smurf Coins that were impossible to get before. ===== PARIS ===== - - - - - LEVEL 1 - - - - - [ ] Papa and Brainy in 2-player co-op [ ] Free at least 10 enemies [ ] Trigger True Blue I was hoping for another vertical level! Oh well. In the meantime, a new type of platform is shown here. This one will move around in all sorts of different directions. Otherwise, there are no new enemy strategies or really anything else to share in terms of actual strategy when dealing with this level. The end of the level will feature yet another Gargamel encounter wherein he will blast pretty much everywhere except for the far right part of the screen. Just hug there and you will be fine. This time he makes a bunch of tiny islands. - - - - - LEVEL 2 - - - - - [ ] 2-player co-op using only Hefty [ ] Free all enemies [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds I spoke too soon! Yes, another vertical level. This one is heavy on the enemies and if you want to complete all the objectives, then you better take out all of them. Using Hefty, which will complete the first objective assuming you are playing in co-op with someone else also using Hefty, is actually ideal for enemy killin' (or freein', I should say) anyway. Hefty has a barbell that he can use to throw as a boomerang style projectile to defeat enemies as well as smash the grey blocks in this level. Remember, the camera will always be moving from bottom to top in this level, so treat it like it is timed, and use the cupcakes to bounce higher. - - - - - LEVEL 3 - - - - - [ ] Free at least 20 enemies [ ] Collect at least 100 berries [ ] Keep True Blue for 10 seconds Lots of bees in this level, but the really thing to mention is Gargamel. Before I get to him though, let me mentino that there are a lot of switches in this level and transparent platforms, so keep that in mind as you move along the level. At about halfway through the level, you once again get a short glimpse at what the boss is going to be like at the end of this world. Gargamel will try to stab you with his rod. Where it will land is indicated by the cursor on the ground. You want him to stab because this will never end if he doesn't. Just run through the cursor to trick him to stab the ground. Do this enough times and then Gargamel will wind up electrocuting himself, and then you can continue on with the level as normal. - - - - - LEVEL 4 - - - - - [ ] Free all enemies [ ] Do not die [ ] Keep True Blue for 60 seconds As you can tell by the extra objectives, this is quite the demanding level. It expects you to not only "free" every enemy in the level, but do so without ever dying and while keeping True Blue for 60 seconds. It's basically demanding a perfect run through of the level, more or less. - - - - - LEVEL 5 - - - - - [ ] Do not die [ ] Take no damage [ ] Score 100 points on Tally Screen This level is very short, but also pretty tough. I recommend using Clumsy, as long as you don't care about getting berries. You can actually cheat your way all the way through this level. To do that, pick Clumsy right off the bat and then just keep rolling through the level. Make sure you always have at least one berry on you. If you die and get in a bubble, it doesn't matter. Just move your bubble across the screen to the right, find more berries, pop the bubble, and then keep repeating the process until you reach the end of the stage and can move on to the boss fight. - - - - - BOSS - - - - - [ ] Score 25 points on Tally Screen [ ] Score 50 points on Tally Screen [ ] Have at least 2 players active Gargamel finally gets his! In this fight, Gargamel will do things such as try to smash you again, which is how you trick him into electrocuting himself so that you can in turn jump on his head and cause damage. He will also try to zap you with lightning. Choose Clumsy for this one because his ability makes it really easy to dodge the magic lightning. Gargamel will also smash his hand on the ground and then sweep it to the left side of the screen, but this is easily dodged. Upon jumping on his head three times, Gargamel is defeafted, and the game is won. But now you can go back as Smurfette and revisit all those levels that had those annoying blue Gargamel blocks in the way of all the Smurf Coins. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 03.
