INTRODUCTION [100] =============================================================================== Hello dear reader. Welcome to my walkthrough. This web document should be fully capable of guiding you to the ending of this game and the obtainment of all of the collectibles you'll need for 101% completion, if that is what you desire. This guide is excellent, if I do say so myself. You're in for a real treat. The game you're being walkedthrough now is The Wonderful 101 for the Nintendo Wii U. It's an eccentric niche-y game on a struggling platform and from what I understand almost no one purchased it... so why then would I write this guide? Well, I wrote it because this game is fun but it does have its flaws and a high level of difficulty and a large number of collectibles to look for. All of these things usually necessitate a guide like this being written, even if there is no one to read it. So basically I wrote this guide for people like me who got stuck at various points in this game and wished there was a way to pause the game, click on the WiiU's internet browser, and then upload a simple text document that explains how to advance. Here's the basic outline of the setting and gameplay for this game: there are these evil aliens who are attacking earth and there are these 100 superheroes you play as in the struggle to defend Earth. All of these superheroes belong to the titular WONDERFUL 101, though in-game they are the WONDERFUL 100 (WONDERFUL ONE-DOUBLE-OH). WONDERFUL ONES can UNITE MORPH to form shapes that make up TOOLS or WEAPONS for other wonderful ones to use. There are about a half-dozen main characters out of the Wonderful 100 who have speaking roles in the cutscenes. The other Wonderful Ones have to be found over the course of the game and then they are controlled en masse and exist mostly to power up your main characters' attacks. This game is a send-up of the super-hero team vs. aliens genre. In more Japanese terms this is known as HENSHIN or SENTAI or some such thing. The most familiar Americanized example would be the POWER RANGERS franchise. Mostly this game is like playing with a bunch of small collectible toys and having them fight outrageous battles for the fun of it. There's a lot of action and a lot of comedy. Everything is over-the-top and exaggerated for great effect. It's the kind of game you should play if you like fun and childlike wonderment and action and all that good (but probably male-minded) stuff. It's not necessarily a kid's game, though. There is a little bit of sexuality around and a lot of frustratingly difficult gameplay. Anyways the ESRB gave it a 'teen' rating for what that's worth. What else should I say to introduce this game? Um... the studio and the people behind its development have a solid release history and a mythic reputation. These were the guys behind such fun games as VIEWTIFUL JOE on the GAMECUBE (which is probably the closest comparison game to this one in terms of style), OKAMI on the PS2, MADWORLD on the WII, and BAYONETTA on the PSX360. The studio used to be a part of CAPCOM but for the immediate future NINTENDO is PUBLISHING their games which means that this game (and their next game BAYONETTA 2) are NINTENDO EXLCUSIVES. I wouldn't say that this game makes super great use of the WII U GAMEPAD though, but I'll save my criticisms for later. So yeah, that's my introduction to this game for you, the hypothetical reader who statistically doesn't own this game and is probably just reading this out of curiosity. If you are playing the game though I hope you are enjoying it and that if you do get stuck and frustrated that this document gets you back on the super fun happy slide that is THE WONDERFUL 101. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [101] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ a. What is 'The Wonderful 101'? The Wonderful 101 is a video game for the NINTENDO WII U VIDEO GAME SYSTEM. It was released in August/September of 2013. It's an ACTION game where you control a group of superheroes as they defend Earth from aliens and their robots. It should be for sale at your local video game market, or you can download a digital copy through the NINTENDO eSHOP. b. Does this game have multiplayer? There is a multiplayer side-mode in this game but the main STORY MODE is single-player. c. What controllers does it use? You can play this game on the WII U GAMEPAD or you can use the WII U PRO CONTROLLER. d. What is the gameplay like? Um so you control this group of superheroes and they kind of move like a big blob around the one main guy you actually control. You can use your followers to attack enemies either directly or you can use them to create these special moves that you make by drawing symbols on the TOUCH SCREEN. You can dodge or block attacks with other special moves. Mostly you're running around levels between fights and there are lots of little secret collectibles around for you to pick up. The levels themselves are really long. There are nine OPERATIONS split into three LEVELS each, and the last level of an operation is usually an outrageous BOSS BATTLE. There are also lots of quicktime events around. Um and between levels you visit this shop called the WONDERFUL MART where you can pick up items and special SKILLS and there are also lots of menus you can use for customizing things. That's the ordinary gameplay, but in each level there is frequently an instance of NON-STANDARD GAMEPLAY where you are riding in some kind of vehicle or something. It's a real roller coaster ride. e. So you're leading around 100 guys at once? Is this game like Pikmin? This game and Pikmin 3 came out on the WiiU rather close together and yes they do both have you leading around up to 100 supporting characters in a sort of blob behind the main character that you control. It's a superficial similarity, mostly, because they impact the gameplay very differently. In Pikmin you want to protect your pikmin, but in this game your followers are pretty much invulnerable and the only thing you need to protect is your main character. You are able to have your followers mob and latch onto enemies to deal damage like pikmin do, but it's still sorta different. And for the most part your followers stay with you and the instances in this game where you have them pick up stuff and move them around to solve puzzles are very few. f. How are the controls? Maybe you've heard some of the reviewers mention that the controls leave something to be desired (and so does the camera). Maybe you've also heard some people say that the controls just take getting used to and that after you do everything makes perfect sense and is awesome. Or maybe you've never heard any of this. It doesn't matter: it's all true. This is a pretty complicated game and your characters have lots and lots of moves they can use and it can be difficult to get them all to work properly. One thing you'll discover is that the TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLS for DRAWING the UNITE MORPHS can be... hit or miss. You may find it more convenient to draw these shapes with the RIGHT ANALOG STICK... but more annoyingly it will probably turn out that some of the UNITE MORPHS are easier to draw on the touchscreen and others are easier to draw with the stick. Well... at least you have options. g. Is the Wii U Gamepad well utilized? It could have been better. It does have REMOTE PLAY if that is a feature that interests you. Otherwise there are a couple of features mapped to the second screen but they are not exactly fully thought through. The biggest use of the TOUCH SCREEN is using it to DRAW UNITE MORPHS. Sometimes this works very well but sometimes it is just more convenient to use the RIGHT ANALOG STICK to do the same thing. The gamepad also displays your items but it just gives a small picture of them instead of any sort of making it clear what each item does. Oh, and there are also small sections in this game where the display switches to the second screen and you can use the GYROSCOPE CONTROLS to move the CAMERA around... but again it is just easier to use buttons to do the same thing. All in all I would say that the developers tried to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the gamepad but their execution leaves something to be desired. h. Is this game really difficult? Um... yeah... kinda. The first playthrough will be pretty tough because there is so much for you to keep track of in the battles and in whatnot and it can be hard to find out where to go/what to do. Eventually you'll be good enough that you can get wicked killer COMBOS and run over anything the enemies can throw at you, but for the start you should definitely take into consideration that this game does have several DIFFICULTY LEVELS available and that you might be better off playing for the first time on EASY or VERY EASY, especially since some of the difficulty in this game stems from a poor camera and unclear objectives. After your first playthrough you should have all of the levels and enemies pretty much understood and you can ramp up the difficulty level so you can practice wicked COMBOS and get sick RATINGS. i. I heard that no one bought this game. Does it suck? No it doesn't suck. It's actually really fun and cool! But it's... different... and people don't like different, especially since this game sort of aims at that same audience of teenage boys that is already locked up by the FPS genre. That's probably this game's biggest popularity problem: it's not a shooter, it's an action game, and it's second biggest problem is that it not hyper-realistic: it's unabashedly silly. But silly is good. Silly is fun. j. Is this the best Wii U game ever? No. It's a fun game with a lot of cool ideas and it's a blast to play, but it is also flawed. Not so flawed that I would suggest that you shouldn't play it, but no, it's not the best thing ever. k. What qualifies you to write a guide on this game? Absolutely nothing except that no one else has. When I played this game the first time I was getting stuck all over the place so naturally I paused my game and pressed the INTERNET BROWSER button on my gamepad and came to this site looking for a text-based walkthrough to help me get unstuck and I found NOTHING even though this game had been out for many months. Sheesh. So basically because no one bought this game and no one made a walkthrough I wrote this to help myself get through this game. l. How do I read this guide? If you’re looking for tips for a certain level, check the table of contents to find what you’re looking for, and then get that bracketed number [xxx] and search for it [ctrl-f] to skip to that spot. If there is an important TERM or SYSTEM you need to know about that I'm just introducing I will probably CAPITALIZE it to draw it to your attention. =============================================================================== 2. GAME NOTES [200] =============================================================================== Here's a couple of notes about how things work in this game. The game does actually have a manual if you know where to look for WiiU game manuals. When you are playing the game you can press the HOME BUTTON to bring up a menu that includes the button to take you into the INSTRUCTION MANUAL. If there is anything you need to know about the basic controls or systems then you should look there first. This game's story is about a fight between a group of superheroes and some evil invading aliens, so the first thing you should get acquainted with is these two groups: THE WONDERFUL 100/CENTINELS Created in secret by the United Nations, the Planetary Secret Service organization known as the CENTINELS is dedicated to defending the Earth from alien invasion. Amongst them, 100 souls from 100 cities around the world have donned a powerful exoskeleton known as a CENTINEL-SUIT, taking their place as secret combat agents known as WONDERFUL ONES. Once they've completed the most stringent training exercises, passed the toughest exams, been certified as physically fit, and approved as mentally sound, only the elite are chosen to enter the battle as Earth's frontline defences. From valor in battle to secret intelligence gathering, they undertake each mission with the utmost skill, while concealing their identities as most classified. Their faces are forever masked. Their tombs are forever unknown. They are proud to go down in history as simply one in a hundred. They are the 100 most wonderful defenders of our world: The Wonderful 100! Well that's the flavor text from the game. Mostly what you need to know about these guys is that they are the good guys you will be playing as. The Wonderful 100 are led by COMMANDER NELSON from the group's flagship: THE VIRGIN VICTORY. The Centinels have bases around the world that exist to protect THE GODDESS STATUES which contain the SUPER REACTORS for the EARTH PLASMA SHIELD known as MARGARITA. GEATHJERK These are the evil robot aliens that are killing humans, just like those geth jerks in that game MASS EFFECT. Actually it turns out that GEATHJERK stands for Guild Of Evil Aliens Terrorizing Humans with Jiggawatt bombs, Energy beams, Rayguns, and Killer lasers. Well, at least they don't deny that they're evil terrorists. These aliens have already attacked Earth twice before in the wars known as the GAIA DEFENSE WARS 1&2, twenty and forty years ago, respectively. A glance at the maps of Earth in this game gives a pretty good indication of how much damage they caused. For instance: they obliterated continental Europe. Yikes. That's a crazy level of destruction. And now the aliens are back but mostly stuck in space outside of the MARGARITA SHIELD, though it turns out that some of these jerks have been hiding on Earth since the last war in special underground lairs known as KAHKOO-REGAH. You should dig up these spider holes and defeat the aliens hiding in ambush therein... but unfortunately, how to find them is a secret to everybody. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CHARACTERS [201] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In this game you are controlling 100 superheroes, but for all intents and purposes there are only 7 you need to concern yourself with. The seven main heroes, each named after a color, are the only ones with speaking roles and they are also the heroes that correspond to the different UNITE MORPHS that are your special attacks. At first may seem kind of weird that these 7 dysfunctional and silly heroes do all of the talking and decision making when there are 93 other guys on the team, but just looking at the names of the other 93 heroes should be enough to convince you that those seven fools really are the best guys the team has to offer. *WONDER RED - THE CRIMSON FIST* Wonder Red, aka Will Wedgewood, is a schoolteacher and a Wonderful One. He's the main protagonist and is made into the leader of the team. He also has a personal history with the GEATHJERK that you'll learn about over the course of the game. He is LUKA'S teacher and tries to look after the kid. Wonder Red is an upstanding and dedicated hero and a paragon of justice. His UNITE MORPH is the UNITE FIST (or UNITE HAND or whatever) and it is powerful but it doesn't have much range and there aren't a lot of enemies that get undone by it. *WONDER BLUE - THE SUPERSONIC BLADE* Wonder Blue is the cool rival for Wonder Red. He is overconfident and tends to disrespect Red's authority and go off on his own. He ends up being the butt of jokes for the whole team because his recklessness is constantly endangering all of their lives. Also he hates women and spends way too much time boasting about how long and hard his sword is. But for all his faults his UNITE SWORD is pretty useful since it's the easiest to draw. *WONDER GREEN -LE SNIPER SUPERIEUR* Jean Sebastien Renault, aka Wonder Green, is the French mama's-boy who is constantly eating. I think he was supposed to be 'the smart guy' but he just comes off a another bit of comic relief. His UNITE MORPH is the UNITE GUN which is very useful as a ranged weapon but it can be hard to aim. *WONDER PINK - THE QUEEN OF RAGE* Wonder Pink is THE CHICK, aka the token female with shallow characterization. Her traits read like a random grab-bag of stereotypes. She is more concerned about makeup her than the alien invasion. She obsessively and irrationally falls in love with the enemy prince and calls him by cute nicknames. She wears a short skirt that rarely covers her underwear. She has an BDSM themed attitude & weapon. Oh, and she takes a maternal attitude towards the kid who tags along with your group for some reason. Yeah... she's a terrible character and she's made even worse by her atrocious accent. At least her UNITE MORPH is a super good move. *WONDER YELLOW - THE HAMMERING RUSKIE* Wonder Yellow is THE BIG GUY if you're aware of how FIVE MAN BANDS work. He's big and dumb and has a funny accent but he doesn't say much. His UNITE HAMMER is super useful for certain enemies and puzzles. By this point there is a noticeable diminishing return on characterization and these guys are basically vehicles for their special attacks. *WONDER WHITE - THE CLAWS OF CALAMITY* Yeah these last few Wonderful Ones aren't really that important as characters. White has a cool UNITE MORPH though with plenty of uses but it's pretty hard to draw. *WONDER BLACK - THE 8BIT ENCHANTER* This guy doesn't do much though he is supposedly a mechanical wizard. His UNITE MORPH is super useful though because it slows down enemies and environmental hazards, but it can be hard to draw and is slow to use and has a crummy range. *LUKA ALAN SMITHEE - TAGALONG KID* This is the kid in Wonder Red's class who hates the Wonderful 100 in the worst way. For some reason he always shows up where the aliens are attacking and for his own protection the Wonderful 100 let him into the group. I guess Luka just forgets how much he hates these guys, and apparently these superheroes don't have a problem with employing child soldiers. *COMMANDER NELSON - POMPADOUR PARAGON* This guy is the commander of the Wonderful 100. He doesn't go on missions but he directs and assists you from the team's AIRSHIP: THE VIRGIN VICTORY. This guy used to be a Wonderful One back in the earlier EARTH DEFENSE WARS. He had a UNITE DRILL move that was pretty useful. You get to play as him in flashback episode in one of the later operations. *ALICE MACGREGOR - SPACESHIP OPERATOR* Alice is the pilot of the Virgin Victory. She's very cool under pressure and doesn't seem to mind putting herself and the ship in harm's way to protect you. *PROFESSOR SHIROGANE - KNOW-NOTHING KNOW-IT-All* This little guy is the person behind all of the Centinel's weapons of mass destruction. He built the Shirogane drive and the Shirogane Comet and other useless things he named after himself. Basically there is only one guy on Earth who bothers to build things to fight the aliens, and it's this guy. Oh, except for that plasma shield that is actually preventing the aliens from killing everybody. That was built by a Professor named Margarita, and Shirogane was so jealous that someone had built something that was actually useful that he killed Professor Margarita. *PSTAR - TEAM PET* This is your little flying robot companion. He likes to point out the obvious. He'll also sometimes inform you when you need to UNITE BUILD in order to advance through a level. You'll also notice that his name seems to come from PLATINUM GAMES' logo. *IMMORTA - BADASS ALIEN BABE* This pink-skinned alien chick seems like she's an enemy at first but then she up and helps you out of a bunch of jams. It turns out that she's on your side and that she wants to stop those Geathjerks. She's part of some alien police force called SPECIAL TACTICS AND RESCUE SERVICE or something and in the later chapters she'll join your squad and bring her own special move which is a crossbow-type thing. *PRINCE VORKKEN - HEIR TO THE THRONE OF THE COMET RHULLO* This guy is a shadow of sorts for Wonder Red and the Wonderful 100. He's got his own team of aliens who can use UNITE MORPHS and you've got to battle him a whole bunch of times over the course of the game. He always seems to have a couple more moves than you do.... Anyway minor spoilers for his backstory but it turns out his homeland of RHULLO was invaded by the GEATHJERK and instead of defending it he joined up with the invaders for some reason. Whatever. He'll try to convince you to do the same but of course you'll persuade him to join you instead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UNITE MORPHS [202] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ These are your special attacks. You'll be relying on these a lot because they are fun to use but also because your regular 'team' attacks are very weak. Your Unite Morphs will increase in power in correspondence with how many teammates you use to create them. This means that if you are playing a level where you are without a lot of allies, or if you took damage and your team is momentarily disabled, then you will be UNABLE TO UNITE MORPH and therefore UNABLE TO DO GOOD DAMAGE OR DEFEND/DODGE ATTACKS. Oh, did I forget to mention that you can buy UNITE MORPHS that allow you to defend and dodge? Yeah, those are pretty important, especially since they can sometimes reflect attacks and open up opportunities to attack enemies. It's pretty important that you buy those Unite Morphs immediately. There are other cool Unite Morphs you can buy, too, but mostly you get new Unite Morphs when you get to a point in the story where a new Wonderful One joins you and brings a new move. All of the main characters are basically vehicles for new super powers. Same goes for the extra characters and the secret characters and whatnot. There are two ways to draw the UNITE MORPHS. You can draw them on the touch screen, but that involves moving your hand and can be cumbersome. You can also use the right thumbstick to draw them and that is usually preferable. When you are drawing the WONDERLINER will usually be glowing in a rainbow pattern but it will change color when it thinks you have drawn they symbol for a morph so if it turns the color you want then you can press 'A' to get your morph. Also you can press the left trigger button to speed up your morph, but when you are drawing a morph for a QUICK TIME EVENT (QTE) then pressing 'L' will slow it down instead which is kind of weird. The basic method of using unite morphs effectively is to first STUN enemies by hitting them repeatedly with your TEAM ATTACK and then unleash your morphs when the enemy turns yellow in indication that its defenses are down. Team attacking also locks you onto enemies to make it easy for you to follow up with morph attacks. You can combo up to 4 morphs at the same time. Instead of drawing the symbol and then pressing 'A' like you would to make a unite morph for yourself, you draw the symbol and press 'X' and then one of your teammates will attack with that weapon for a few seconds. You can stack this if you keep doing it, and you absolutely should get into the habit of doing this because there are a lot of enemies in this game who are vulnerable to damage for brief windows and it really helps you lay on a lot of damage when you have AIs attacking the enemy too. For the purposes of this walkthrough the names of the special attacks have been abbreviated using the assumption that you know that they all begin with the word 'Unite'. So instead of writing 'Unite Hand' or 'Unite Fist' or whatever it's called I just call it 'UHand' or 'UFist' and basically if you see a word with a big U in front of it I am talking about using that UMorph. Similarly, if you see me use a word like 'WLiner,' I am probably referring to: ***THE WONDER-LINER*** This is the ability you use to draw unite morphs. You can use either the right thumbstick or the touchscreen, whichever you like. The wonderliner has a couple of other applications besides morphs. It can be used to 'wrap' around civilians or objects or stunned enemies. Also it is used for finding hidden items by sending it into toilets or other holes. When you are drawing with the wonderliner you can press 'L' to speed it up unless it is a cutscene. Oh and there are upgrades for this you can buy at the wondermart to make it cause damage and move faster. It doesn't do a lot of damage but the speedy one is useful if you have the hang of how this thing moves and don't want to wait forever to make a really big morph. The power of your morph depends on how big you draw the symbol, at least until you buy another upgrade that lets you bypass that. The wonderliner can be used to pick up items and o-parts and recover injured teammates. That's right, you just need to have a couple of guys with you to create a liner to revive your teammates without actually running over to them. Furthermore, if you are dashing when you draw the wonderliner, then you can continue to dash while sweeping with the wonderliner, picking up money or allies super quickly and thus saving you lots of time. Here are the main UNITE MORPHS you can activate using the WLiner: ***UNITE FIST*** This is Wonder-Red's move and it's a good go-to attack. The circle can be a pain to draw though. This move doesn't have a lot of range but it also makes you immune to fire because it absorbs it and gets powered up by fire. ***UNITE SWORD*** This is my favorite morph because it is so easy to draw and I guess I'm just super lazy. It's just a line and if you hold the Left Trigger button and speed it up it gets done in no time. It's not a super strong attack but it has a good range and can hit lots of enemies without you having to aim well. ***UNITE GUN*** This move can pick up spiked projectile balls and shoot them back. It is pretty much your only option for long-distance attacks. It shoots wonderful-ones as ammo and it can get your guys onto enemies to do damage. ***UNITE WHIP*** This is one of the best moves for combining power and long range. It is also your only option for dealing with spiky enemies. ***UNITE HAMMER*** The hammer is useful in protecting you from projectiles/attacks from above. It also lets you sink in water. It is also your go-to morph for collecting hidden items. When you get wonderyellow make sure to also buy the treasure finder item so you can find hidden items. ***UNITE CLAW*** This is a super-fast attack that's real nice and useful. Also in the adventurin parts you can use to climb walls so if you ever get stuck somewhere it might because you forgot about this ability. ***UNITE BOMB*** This is the move for slowing down your enemies and that seems like a good thing but it is hard to draw and super slow to use and has a terrible range. Still, when you've got a small window for dealing damage this thing can blow that window wide open. ***UNITE GUTS*** A great move for unravelling enemies and protecting yourself. Buy it ASAP. There are lots of obvious attacks that enemies have that can be reflected or stopped by unite guts, and doing so will often leave your enemy momentarily vulnerable. Certain projectiles, punches, and even things like unite fists or hammers can all be absorbed by this move. It can't stop everything though. It doesn't stop sharp or spiky moves, or flames or beams or enraged enemies, so be careful. And the timing is important too. ***UNITE-DODGE*** I think this has a different name in game but its basically a dodge move. Get this as soon as you can, but not before you get UGuts because that is absolutely necessary. Anyways this move is your dodge and it can be useful for getting out of trouble, but don't use it when you are right next to an enemy because that usually doesn't work out. It can be upgraded so that it causes damage to enemies but more importantly you can upgrade it to turn into a BALL you can roll around with which is fun. ***UNITE-ROCKET*** This rocketship can help you jump a little higher but there aren't a lot of extra areas this thing will help you get too. You can play around with it though since it never hurts to be thorough. If you're having trouble getting this to work because the game doesn't do a good job of explain how to use it, just mash the 'b' button a lot of times as you are jumping. ***UNITE-BUILD*** Sometimes levels will have obstacles or things that need to be rebuilt and in those cases PSTAR will display a little hologram and you have to send you wonderful people there to build the thing. This is kind of confusing and finicky at first but you'll get the hang of it. Try to stand right at the spot PSTAR is going his hologram because sometimes these things require that ALL of your guys get in. ***UNITE-CHAIN (UNITE BRIDGE/UNITE LADDER)*** These are used for navigating through levels. Sometimes pstar will point these out for you, but sometimes they are used to get unmarked secrets. If you ever get to a wall or a chasm and can't proceed, try building one of these. ***UNITE-GLIDER*** This is another morph you have to use to advance on rare occasions. Try not to forget what it is in the meantime. You can draw it with a triangle and the flight controls vary depending on the mission its used in. You can also use this in regular combat and there is an upgrade you can purchase to increase it's damage capabilities. ***UNITE-TOMBSTONE*** I always forget about this one. It's another attack you can get and its kind of like a ground-pound move. Pretty nice. ***UNITE-CAMP*** This one heals you. I don't think it's necessary given how abundant healing items are in this game, but then again I don't really know because I never bought this ability. There are lots of extra morphs you can get at the end of the game once you start unlocking SECRET CHARACTERS but I won't go over them here because knowing about them is not going to help you progress through the story mode. Those are your special moves. Remember that they won't be available until you get the corresponding characters or buy them at the store. Your main morphs can also gain extra skills as you use them and level up your characters. There is STINGER, RISING, and CYCLONE. Some of these moves are good for combos but I don't know which ones so you'll have to experiment with them. There are other skills and things like custom blocks you can buy that power up your wonderliner and team attacks, but I will leave all of that for you to play around with. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ITEMS [203] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are a couple of different items you can use in this game. You can buy items in between levels or you can sometimes find them in the levels. You can select items using the TOUCHSCREEN or the D-PAD. You have to HOLD the DOWN BUTTON for a couple of seconds to get the item to work. You will probably want to keep up a full stock of HEALING ITEMS because they can really save your life, and the items that refill the UNITE GUAGE can save you a lot of frustration. Other items can inflict lots of damage on enemies but they lower your result score, so only use them if you are gettin' beat up bad(after all, taking lots of damage and dying repeatedly is not great for your result score either). Items can be found in the levels if you look around hard enough, but mostly you will be buying them from the WONDERFUL MART. Items in the market cost O-PARTS that you'll find all over the levels and when you kill enemies. Oh, and there's one other item in the levels: BATTERIES. Batteries power up your characters because your guys are actually robots. Oh, and there's another other item you can find in levels called SPACE VEGGIES and these things are a different kind of currency for getting items through a special menu screen called a MIXER. You can use space veggies to get WONDERFUL CREDIT CARDS, which are explained below. So here are the items you can buy at the WONDERFUL MART between levels: ***WONDERFUL NOODLE SOUP (various sizes)*** This stuff restores your VITALITY GAUGE (health). You can find these in levels sometimes or you can by the 'to-go' versions. You should always have some of this stockpiled just in case you get totally pwned. Using this item doesn't hurt your score, but dying taking damage and dying certainly does. ***WONDERFUL CAKE (various sizes)*** This stuff restores your UNITE GAUGE. Usually your gauge won't be a problem except for a couple of really long boss fights that can wear you down. In a situation like that it can be helpful to have some cake so you can use special moves again. ***WONDERFUL STEAK*** This item makes you invulnerable but it also lowers you score. Good for getting first timers through annoying sections. ***WONDERFUL PARFAIT*** Refills your unite gauge to the max. ***VICTORY TORPEDOS*** You can use these things to have the VIRGIN VICTORY provide support firepower. It blankets the area with torpedoes and does good damage but it also lowers you score. ***JUSTICE MISSILE*** These items can provide extra damage without lowering your score. The only trade-off is that they are hard to use and leave you vulnerable to attacks. When you activate these your screen will switch over to the gamepad screen and you'll have to TAP the screen to fire these things. Not worth it IMO. ***SHOCKING RED*** This thing stuns all enemies on screen but it is bad for your score. Good in a pinch. ***WONDERFUL DUMMY*** This thing can prevent you from dying when your health hits zero. Dying hurts your score but rarely impacts your progress through the game. I don't think the dummy is very useful and it's also expensive and there are better things to spend your money on. ***WONDERFUL CREDIT CARD*** This is the thing you want to turn your space veggies into using the MIXER. It lets you charge one item to Commander Nelson, so you can use it to buy the most expensive items without spending your space money. When you have this card and you are buying an item make sure not to click 'buy' but instead look to the left for an icon representing this card. ***ITEM FINDER*** I forget what this thing is called. Maybe it's a TREASURE SENSOR or something like that. You'll know what this thing is when you see it because its not like any of the other items for sale. It's a little add-on for PStar that makes him 'ping' whenever you are close to a hidden item in a level. You should buy this thing before Operation 003 because that is the operation wherein you get WONDER YELLOW and his UNITE HAMMER and that's the morph that unearths all of these hidden items. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COLLECTIBLES [204] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There's lots of things to collect in this game. If you go into your menu you'll see that there are several categories of collectibles, including but not limited to: BOTTLECAPS, GEATHJERK AND WONDERFUL FILES, and WONDERFUL FIGURINES. Furthermore there are lots and lots of WONDERFUL ONES hidden throughout the levels for you to find and recruit. The wonderful ones tend to be easiest to find as they usually hang out with other citizens that need rescuing. The other kinds of collectibles have certain patterns to how they are hidden. There are obvious containers of secrets like WONDER CRATES and WONDER TOILETS. Similar to the toilets there are also lots of clandestine holes like doors and windows that you can send your wonderliner into to make items pop out. Also your wonderliner can wrap around circular designs in the environment and also some other spots to. Finally, once you get UNITE HAMMER in Operation 003 you can use that to unearth all kinds of secrets and items. When you get that UMorph you should also pick up an item called the ITEM FINDER which will give PStar the ability to beep and blink when you get close to hidden stuff. It'll beep faster and bluer when you get close to the right spot. ***WONDERFUL FIGURES/WONDERFUL FILES/GEATHJERK FILES*** These are pretty interchangeable things. They are rewards you get for finding secrets and they give you extra information and things to look at in the menu screens. ***PLATINUM COINS*** These are the least important things to collect in every level. They don't get you any collection bonuses or endgame rewards or achievements or anything, but if you get all five of them in a level you get a free higher tier item like a wondersteak or something. You shouldn't go out of your way to collect these and I certainly didn't. ***KAHKOO REGAHS AND SECRET MISSIONS*** There are hidden missions you can find if you wander off of the beaten path sometimes. Usually this just means running backwards through the level and hoping some new fight has been unlocked. If you are playing on Normal difficulty or higher there are also secret areas called KAHKOO REGAHS that will appear and take you into underground fight rings with strange rules and whatnot. And if you beat these secret kahkoo fights you'll get WONDER FIGURES and you get a different one for beating them on different difficulty levels. ***HERO HEART FRAGMENTS*** Have you ever played a video game series called 'The Legend of Zelda'? In those games there are these things called PIECES OF HEART that are hidden around the world and if you collect four of them they raise your maximum health. Well for some reason those things have spilled over into this game, except now they're called HERO HEART FRAGMENTS. There are twenty of them hidden throughout the game and every four you collect will raise the length of your health meter. These are harder to find than the other collectibles. ***BOTTLECAPS*** These are ACHIEVEMENT TROPHIES you will receive for completing certain tasks. Collecting these unlocks secret characters and to avoid spoilers I have placed my bottlecap list at the bottom of this document. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ STORY MODE - OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE [205] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There are nine or so OPERATIONS in this game and each operation is split into three LEVELS. So that's like 27 levels and they're actually all really long. The final level in each operation is a BOSS FIGHT though there can be bosses or minibosses in the other levels too. Each level is split up into ten or so MISSIONS and each mission comes with a helpful little direction for you to follow, like 'defeat all enemies!' or 'go forward!'. After each mission you will be evaluated on your performance and given a MEDAL, and at the end of a level you will be judged again. Don't worry too much about getting good scores and medals your first time through since you only need that stuff for secrets and achievements. You can come back and try again for better scores later on when you are good at the game, if you like. Trying to get good scores and medals is part of the challenge and fun of this game if that sort of thing appeals to you. After every mission you will be evaluated on three categories: TIME, COMBO, and DAMAGE. Time is how long it takes you to kill the enemy (or do whatever you're supposed to be doing). Combo is how many hits you can land on an enemy at once and this is the one you'll need to be familiar with game mechanics to excel at. Damage is just based on how much damage you take in a fight and obviously the less damage you take the better your score will be. At the end of a level you will also be judged and given points on a couple of other things including how many citizens you recruited, how many enemies you recruited, how many secrets you found, and probably other things I've forgotten. Most importantly, your score will be docked for every time you died in a level and that can really impact the medal you receive. When the end of the level results screen displays the medals you got on each mission, you may notice that there are inexplicable spaces in the display. This is because you missed out on the SECRET MISSIONS. You'll have to do these to get the highest scores a level has to offer. Secrets missions are usually found by running back after completing missions, but don't bother running around pointlessly because this guide is going to point out where they all are. Some of the secret missions require that you are playing on NORMAL DIFFICULTY or higher. These secret missions are called 'kahkoo regahs'. When you're playing STORY MODE the game will take you through the missions but if you want to go back and replay the levels to look for secrets or play on a different difficulty, you can select the 'mission select' option and even though it says 'next mission' and has the current mission listed it will actually take you to a level-select screen. Some of the menus in this game can be hard to navigate. When you are playing the game for the first time there will be three difficulty modes: very easy, easy, and normal. You have to beat the game on normal to unlock hard mode (which has more and tougher enemies) and then beat hard mode to unlock the very hard mode (which is called 101%). There are collectibles that are exclusive to the higher difficulty modes. Also the enemies you fight may be different than what you fight on normal mode, but since you have to beat the game before you can even play hard mode you will probably be ready for tougher enemy formations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WONDERFUL MISSION MODE [206] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wonderful missions are separate from the campaign mode. They are smaller, combat focused levels that can be played in competitive multiplayer for up to five players. Selecting 'Wonderful Missions' from the menu takes you into a hub where other players can join and choose a stage. At first there are only 'easy,' 'normal,' and 'hard,' stages but as you complete them you unlock more. Each stage is divided up into missions where you and any other players will be clearing screens of geathjerk while also competing for the highest score in terms of money and damage dealt. Between missions there is a break called 'bonus time' where you have the opportunity to recruit new members. Mission mode is a fun enough game but it won't be covered in this walkthrough because it is just a series of battle stages and there is no exploration or weird puzzle stuff that needs to be covered. =============================================================================== 3. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 000 - PROLOGUE [300] =============================================================================== The alien invasion of Earth, will be met by a group of fearless warriors. That number just 100 souls. One hundred wonderful defenders of our world. Their faces are forever masked. Their tombs are forever unknown. They are... The Wonderful 101. I knew we forgot someone. You. When you click STORY MODE for the first time you will be given the opportunity to choose the DIFFICULTY LEVEL, and if it is your first playthrough your options will be VERY EASY, EASY, and NORMAL. Don't go thinking that EASY MODE is actually going to be 'easy'. It's not. I would absolutely recommend that new players start out on the lower difficulties until they get a hang of how combat works. You will be able to adjust the difficulty up or down later on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OPERATION 000 - WONDER-RED'S DEBUT [301] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The game begins with a cutscene (and some credits) taking place in BLOSSOM CITY, the home of one WILL WEDGEWOOD, a mild-mannered schoolteacher who is actually the superhero WONDER RED. He is sitting on a bus and recalling some unpleasant memories when suddenly the city is attacked by aliens he has to find some way to keep the high-speed bus-train-thingie he is on from crashing into a school. Hop to it! ***MISSION 001 - GET THE STUDENTS TO THE BACK OF THE BUS!*** When you are first given control of Will you will notice that there are 20 schoolchildren around him with the word HELP! hanging over them in a yellow comic-book style. This will be a common occurrence in this game where civilians are in need of your assistance and you will be able to recruit them to your team, but right now you don't have the WONDER LINER you would normally use to help them so instead you have to RUN and TOUCH these kids yourself. By the way, RUN is mapped to the Y button and JUMP to B. So you run left through two
sections and collect the 20 kids and take them to the back of the bus and then
they will be safe and you will get your first RATING SCREEN where you will be
evaluated based on TIME, COMBO, and DAMAGE and given a MEDAL for how well you
did. There aren't any enemies in this section so the only thing you are really
concerned with is TIME.

***MISSION 002 - GET TO THE FRONT OF THE BUS!***

Another cutscene will play in which Will Wedgewood abandons the kids in an out-
of-control vehicle and leaves them to die. A little robot named P-STAR appears
and he is your little helper buddy. Jump (B Button) onto the collapsed section
of the roof to get up to the top of the bus and then run forward until you get
back into the bus again. Then six evil aliens called DOUGH-GOOS will also
appear with guns drawn on you. Just run past them to get to the next cutscene.
You can't attack them yet and so there is no medal bonus for COMBO just DAMAGE
so try not to get hit or run into any flames. Fire hurts you.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Willie looks out the window and sees a UFO that he promptly identifies as a
COUGH-FOON. I don't know where these names came from. Anyways the cough foon
destroys the bus Will is on, but from the ashes of Will Wedgewood's corpse
rises the phoenix that is Wonder Red. And then you'll be back in control and
on top of a bus with a couple of dough goos to pound. Press A to ATTACK
these fools. Dough goos will raise their swords in the air and hold them there
for a few seconds as an obvious tell that they will eventually come slicing
at you. Try not to let them hit you because that will lower your VITALITY and
your SCORE. You'll also notice that until the dough goo are defeated that
there is an OPERATIONAL BOUNDARY preventing you from proceeding.

Right now you only have regular punches that attack in a small combo. It's
nothing flashy now because you don't get access to your special moves until
the next mission. Also this will be your first time picking up O-PARTS which
are basically SPACE MONEY you can use later.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Run on ahead but not too quickly because big RED TARGETS will appear and they
indicate that some sort of artillery is about to rain down on that spot. The
bus will break apart some more and then a GDA (GAIA DEFENSE ARMY) vehicle will
pull up beside you to save your sorry butt. Press B to jump over and meet up
with WONDER BLUE and be treated to a lengthy exposition on the Wonderful 100.
After that you'll be performing your first UNITE MORPH: UNITE HAND! Just draw
a circle on the gamepad and press A. Very soon after you'll be introduced to
Blue's UNITE MORPH: UNITE SWORD! It's even easier to draw.

Then you'll be back in control of Wonder Red, but you'll have a healthy team
of twenty guys following you. If you want Blue in charge you can just draw his
UM. Run ahead but watch out for the fire there. Some more mooks will appear
but now you are seriously powered up. The easiest way to defeat these guys is
to SWARM them with X and while they are engaged you can pull out the big
attacks and destroy them. And here's something cool you may not know just yet:
if you weaken these little enemies to the point where they are slowly exploding
to death, you can SURROUND them with the WONDER-LINER and RECRUIT them to your
side as TEMPORARY MEMBERS. Neat, eh?

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Hop down into the bus and advance through the last few sections. You can pick
up a few WONDERFUL BATTERIES here to charge up your UNITE GAUGE but that's not
so important in this level. You can also use the WONDER-LINER to RECRUIT some
CITIZENS. Hop on top of the bus to recruit some more citizens and even a stray
WONDERFUL ONE.

! WONDERFUL ONE - WONDER PROFESSOR - Easily seen between the two groups
of citizens you can recruit. He's at the top of a ramp leading back up onto
the roof of the bus.

When you get to a gap you'll have to make your first UNITE BUILD. Just DRAW
a line from the edge of the bus you are on to the other bus ahead of you. This
can take some trial and error. Try to stand at the edge of the bus under PStar
and draw a straight line forward. Get up to the front of the bus for another
final cutscene and quick time event where you have to UNITE BUILD a ramp and
WONDER PUNCH the bus to save the school. And that's it for the prologue, except
for the introduction of the snot-nosed little punk LUKA. He'll be back later.
And then you'll also get a scene that introduces some characters who won't
actually be introduced for a while yet. Ominous.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You must have WONDER YELLOW and the UNITE HAMMER to get these secrets, so
you'll have to come back for them after OPERATION 003. You also must be playing
on NORMAL, HARD, or 101% DIFFICULTY MODE to access the KAHKOO-REGAH area,
and the reward you get will be different at every level.

In MISSION 005 before drawing a UNITE CHAIN you should instead take note of the
two latches on the roof of that section of bus. UHammer the left one for a
WONDERFUL FILE and UHammer the one at the spot where you're supposed to draw
the UChain to get down into the bus and warp over to the KAHKOO-REGAH area
where you can fight some goonies for a WONDERFUL FIGURE. The fight down there
is a pain because you only get Wonder Red and can't use UMorphs. You are
fighting a single CHEW DOUGH GOO but he can also summon doughgoos which mostly
act as shields to prevent you from attacking the main baddie. Chewie glows blue
whenever he is attacking and you should stop attacking him and get out of the
way when he does because you can only take a couple of hits before you die.
However when you kill all of the little guys then Chewie will summon more and
this is actually a great opportunity for you to land some combos on him.

Beat it on NORMAL for NO. 26, beat it on HARD for NO. 51, and 101% for NO. 1.

--------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 000 - SECRETS AND COLLECTIBLES CHECKLIST
--------------------------------------------------

WONDERFUL ONES: 1 (Wonder-Professor)
WONDERFUL FILES: 1 (P-Star)
WONDERFUL FIGURES: 3 (Nos. 26, 51, and 1)

===============================================================================
4. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 001 - BLOSSOM CITY OUTSKIRTS [400]
===============================================================================

This will be your first chance to stop of at the Market that you get to visit
between every level. You won't have an outrageous amount of money at first
but what little you do have should be put towards getting yourself some really
helpful defensive abilities called UNITE GUTS and UNITE DODGE (in that order
of priority). These moves are the keys to keeping alive and the first in
particular is key in undoing your many enemies.

After twenty years of silence, GEATHJERK is back and attacking Blossom City.
You are introduced to LAURENCE NELSON and ALICE, your commanders and helmers
of your AIRSHIP, THE VIRGIN VICTORY. You are also informed about MARGARITA,
the hyper-plasma shield that surrounds the planet. Wonder Red is appointed as
the leader of the Wonderful 100 and given the assignment of taking out some
enemies in Blossom City.

This level takes place in the 'outskirts' of Blossom City but it is pretty
much urban in character after the first few sections. This is a very lovely
looking city so its unfortunate that it functions as a 'doomed hometown' in
this alien invasion. Over the course of Operation 001 you will learn that this
city is the symbol of mankind's ability to rebuild after the devastating EARTH
DEFENSE WARS, but also that it is housing one of the SUPER REACTORS that is
powering the PLANETARY DEFENSE SHIELD. One of the Geathjerk's commanders, a
lizard-man named LAAMBO, has gotten wind of the reactors location and it's
going to be up to you to stop him and his giant robot and three-headed dragon
and all manner of smaller jerks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 001A - BLOSSOM CITY BOOGALOO [401]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did you play the DEMO VERSION of this game? If so, then this level ought to be
fairly familiar. If you're just coming here from the last level then you'll
find that this level introduces a few new things... mostly just the concept of
running through a sprawling level. There are also WONDER CRATES, WONDER
TOILETS, a section that makes you SWITCH TO THE GAMEPAD SCREEN to solve a
puzzle. One thing you'll want to do a lot in this level and all subsequent
levels is to smash every object in the level so you can collect SPACE MONEY.
Make sure that by the time this level is completed that Blossom City doesn't
have any trees left standing.

Oh, and just to repeat what I said at the start of this section, it would be
really, really helpful if you bought UNITE GUTS before going into this level.
I mean, I guess you could defeat these enemies without reflecting/stopping
their attacks... or you could just reflect/stop their attacks using UGuts and
save yourself a lot of hassle.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

When this level starts you'll be back in front of Blossom City School and soon
enough a whole squad of dough goos will be attacking you, along with their
warlords the CHEW DOUGH GOO. They're just bigger mooks and hopefully you can
take them down without issue. They can charge at you pretty fast so don't take
your eyes off of them.

! WONDER FIGURE - No. 11 - After the battle head over to the top right
section of the screen and look for a small open window on one of the upper
floors of the dorm building. Send a WONDERLINER up there to get WONDERFUL
FIGURE NO. 11 and then remember to be on the lookout for small holes like these
in the future.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

Make your way down the road into town and make sure to kill every tree and
break every car you find. You can recruit some citizens along the way and pick
up some SPACE VEGGIES which are basically a different form of currency. You'll
fight some more mooks here and then you can run up the street and a big
helicopter will crash in front of you. Use a UMorph to smash it out of the way
and also you can recruit the GDA soldiers nearby.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

Move ahead and recruit some more guys. You'll find your first WONDERFUL TOILET
and if you stand right in front of it and extend a wonderliner you'll get some
items.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Painter - There is also a wonderful one you can
recruit here in the middle of the street.

Then you have to jump up onto that building behind the 'shifty used cars' sign
and cross over to the next street. Your next challenge is to get rid of that
crashed tanker truck, either by smashing it or getting your guys to LIFT and
THROW it using the wonderliner, which is a skill you should maybe practice
because it has its uses in battle.

!Wonderful One - Wonder-Beer - Under that tanker truck there are some citizens
you can recruit and one of them has a mug of beer on his head.

Then there's a difficult section for newbies where you've got to create a
UNITE FIST and grab that knob on the building and twist it to open up the
building. When you run into the building you'll notice that your CAMERA goes
all kinds of insane. Your TV just shows the outside of the building and your
gamepad shows the inside, but its view is based on hard-to-control gyroscope
controls and it's all kinds of confusing. Well, what you're supposed to do is
make a UFist and hop up to those three knobs on the wall, and then turn them
to change the counters (that are displayed on the other screen) to read
2 - 3 - 5 which is the code posted on the locked door. It only takes a few
turns to get there but damn if it isn't confusing the first time through.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***

When you run out of the top of the building you'll meet the GATCHA, an enemy
that doesn't attack you but instead occupies you for a little while so that
smaller mooks can hit you from behind. You can use your UFist on this to turn
the knob on it to release imprisoned allies. Wait until you've killed all of
the dough goos before trying your hand at the gatcha.

! Wonderful File and 2 Geathjerk Files
After this fight you are supposed to head over to a bridge but you also have
the option of jumping into the water under the bridge, swimming to the other
side, and picking up all kinds of secret stuff. You should probably wait until
the bridge is destroyed in a cutscene before going swimming, though. When you
swim to the other side of the water you'll find a ledge and see your first
WONDER CRATE here, and its blue so as to indicate that Wonder Blue's UM is
required to break it. Doing so will get you Wonder Blue's WONDERFUL FILE. There
are also two small brown pipes in the wall that can be wonder-linered to get
you GEATHJERK FILES. If you head through the mario-esqe WARP PIPE you'll be
brought to the SECRET MISSION 005, which is just a fight against some more
jerks. I think the bridge has to be destroyed and you have to be playing on
normal or higher to get this secret mission maybe.

***SECRET MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***

An easy fight that you get to through the warpipe escapades described in the
last section.

! Wonderful One - Wonder Diva - After this fight you can doubleback to the
warehouse to pick up the unfashionably late WONDER-DIVA. Then you can just
head on over to the bridge and build a bridge to get across.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***

Once you get across the bridge you'll be introduced to the HOEDOWN, a jerk
on wheels. It has a cannon that will try to shoot you with these spherical
projectiles that you should totally REFLECT back at it using UGuts in order
to break its ARMOR. You can also block it's charge attack to flip it over and
make it even more vulnerable.

! Wonder Figure No. 10 and Geathjerk File - After the hoedown you can open
another crate and there are also some small open windows and toilets you can
enter with your wonderliner to get some FILES and FIGURES.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***

The next section has you running down a street that is being pelted by
missiles. You can see where they are going to fall but that doesn't mean it's
easy to avoid them. If you are replaying this level and have UHammer you can
slip through this pretty easy though. When you get to the other side a building
will fall on you and also some jerks will attack you. Then you'll have to use
UFist to pull out some shipping containers to make a staircase you can climb
up to get on top of some buildings and get to the next part of the level.

! Wonderful File No. 1 - After you take care of some more enemies you'll see a
wonder crate with a WONDERFUL FILE inside. And then you'll be in a confusing
part of the level. There will be a huge explosion and some quicktime events
to pick up a big shield. Then you have to hold this shield around and make sure
you are facing the right way when vehicles come raining down from the sky. Just
stand still and turn when needed until the unpleasantness is over.

***MISSION 008 - SAVE ALL THE CITIZENS***

And this part is even more confusing. You create a UChain to get on top of the
building and then somehow figure out that you have to create a USword to cut
the ropes holding up the platform to make the platform fall and crush the
people below.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Kungfu - When the mission is over you can go down
there yourself and pick up WONDER-KUNGFU.

***SECRET MISSION 009***

For this secret mission you have to run back to the football field after saving
the citizens in mission 008. This time you get to fight two hoedowns.

***MISSION 010***

Now you're fighting a DIE DOUGHGOO. He's not so tough. Reflect his attacks,
stun him with team attacks, and then beat him senseless wonderfully. When he
bends down and charges up an attack it's going to be a fire attack that you
can't reflect so get outta the way. Your UFist can protect you from fire
and fire powers it up but the game won't tell you that for a couple of levels.
Oh and when he's almost dead he'll become a blocky robot and sometimes go on
rampages so also look out for that.

! KAHKOO-REGAH - If you're playing on normal mode or higher an emblem will
appear that can take you to the secret KAHKOO-REGAH area. You have to draw a
wonderliner around it to go. The fight down there is timed but it's not very
difficult. There are figures to collect down there but there are also lots of
collectibles back aboveground on top of the buildings past the defeated
diedoughgoo. You'll need the UWhip to get one of them, though.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Patisserie - on top of the building before the bridge
! Wonder Figure No. 75 - In the Pink Wonder Crate.

***SECRET MISSION 011 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

There's a two minute timer to take down a couple of waves of crummy jerks.

! Wonder Figures - No. 49 (normal), No. 82 (hard), No. 3 (101%)

***MISSION 012***

Head over to that raised bridge and use your UFist on the nearby knob to lower
it. You'll have to fight some more enemies on the bridge. Afterwards you can
jump in the water and swim around to find a pipe you can wonderliner for
another wonderful file.

! Wonderful File No. 13 - out on the water

***MISSION 013 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

When you get across the bridge you'll be in another battle with some hoedowns,
and when they go down you'll have to run under some missiles that are pelting
the street ahead. Before you go, though, stop and pick up a few secrets in
this area.

! Wonderful One - Wonder Guitar - This guy is just hanging out on the street
after the bridge.

While you're picking up stuff, why not have your doodz pick up that giant
sports helmet and use it as cover as you run under those missiles raining down
on the next street? If you're replaying this level you can just use UHammer to
shield yourself instead of picking up the helmet.

! Wonderful One - Wonder Judo
! Hero Heart Fragment

When you get across the rocketstreet you'll see that there are even more things
to collect over there. You're supposed to head up to the next and final mission
but if you turn the other way there are lots of things you can do. The road
has a big '70' printed on it and if you can trace out the '7' with your
wonderliner then you will get a platinum coin. Continue down this wrong way
road and make a bridge to get over to a building full of trapped citizens that
you probably noticed several missions ago. You can jump over the flames to get
on the roof with a URocket and then recruit Wonder Judo. There's also a PIECE
OF HEART up there, and they work exactly like they do in TLOZ. There's probably
also some buildings you can probe on your way to the next mission, too. And if
you jump off a bridge there are some WFigures around.

***MISSION 014 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Head up the street to trigger a cutscene and meet a new enemy: the DAHKATS.
It's a mean scorpion from space. Try blocking it's jump attacks and it's claw
attacks but not its tail stinger attacks because that won't work as well. And
then, finally, the level will be over! Sheesh, these levels are frigging long,
aren't they?

! Geathjerk File No. 6

If you're not in so much of a hurry to finish the level you can turn around and
pick up some leftover collectibles. The lady from the cutscene will be standing
on the street below a window you can wonderliner, for instance, and a building
closer to the dahkat is also open.

OPERATION 001B - BATTY BLOSSOM CITY [402]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hit up the Wonderful Mart for healing items or whatever if you need them, and
buy some skills or morphs if you can afford them. Try and get UGuts and UDodge
if you don't have them yet!

This level starts off right where the last one ended, and if you thought the
last level was long, wait until you get a load of this level. In addition to
another dozen missions of running around and fighting enemies, this level even
has its own boss and miniboss fights. Sheesh!

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

! Wonderful Figure No. 37 - Right at the start you'll notice a couple of
things. There are some citizens screaming for help, and there are also some
batteries going up the side of a building. Send your wonderliner after the
batteries instead of jumping because they are actually pointing to a window
you can enter to get WONDERFUL FIGURE NO. 37.

Then you can move down the road and fight a couple of chewdoughgoos
and a diedoughgoo which are hopefully no big deal right now even though
you only have 30 some guys in your crew instead of the optimum one hundred.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Move ahead and pick up lots more 'volunteers' and then you can fight the new
kind of enemy, the RAYDOWN, which is just a laser-using hoedown. USword can
reflect its attack back if you just have it equipped and drawn. You just have
to stand there to kill this guy! Be sure to remember how this blue beam
reflection thing works because it will come up again. So yeah just kill this
thing and then run up the road a little ways until the road is suddenly
destroyed for some reason, and then you have to turn around and run or jump
back the way you came from. When a giant hand reaches out of the ground you
should tread cautiously and wait for a building to collapse and provide you a
path.

***MISSION 003 - TRIUMPH IN BATTLE!***

After a quicktime event you'll find yourself in a small area where you have to
ride an elevator up to the next part. Don't be in too much of a hurry to
wonderbuild that elevator however, because there is lots of stuff to pick up
on the ground first.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Socho
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Matador

There's a wonderfulone you can recruit on the ground, and another one in a
gatcha up on a building to the right. Also there is a PLATINUM COIN over there
in a door near the gatcha.

So anyways once you're ready you can wonderbuild an elevator and then you'll
be up on a roof with some more recruits including wonder magician.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Magician

Then you'll be making a UNITE GLIDER by drawing a triangle. The glider controls
aren't too complicated once you get used to them and the camera angle. If I
remember correctly you can press the joystick forward to dive down and then
press B to go up and alternating them will give you unreal air. Whatever you
do just don't press Y because that cancels the morph and will drop you down
the chasm.

Instead of landing on the road you'll instead land on a giant robot MINIBOSS.
You'll be on his left arm and you'll notice that there are three blue orbs
on there that you can damage. They change color as they are damaged. The
GAH-GOOJIN will occasionally try to hit or shoot you but you can maybe dodge
his attacks (hey, did you buy UDodge yet? It's pretty neat). Once you break the
bubbles on his left arm you can make a UChain to run over to the other arm and
repeat the process except a little differently this time. This time when you
break all of the bubbles a knob thingie will appear on his arm for you to
grab with your UFist and turn it but watch out because an enemy will appear
to shoot you. You can block it's attack twice with UGuts and then kill it and
then you'll be able to twist in peace for a moment but then you'll have to do
another round. When you're finally done you can hitch a ride on a helicopter
as GAH-GOOJIN flies away. And if you did all of that quickly and without
getting shot then you will get a good SCORE.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

! Geathjerk File No. 36 - Check out the '60' printed on the road and see if
you can trace the '6' with your wonderliner.

You're back on the ground and now there is a TIEKUU cannon thingie shooting
up the place. You'll get to it eventually but for now just recruit some more
citizens and then head over to that building with all the batteries on it and
make a ULadder to climb up there. You'll find that the mooks can now fly and
that they are more annoying and hard to hit than ever, but you'll also get a
new wonderfulone named WONDER GREEN and a new UMorph called UGUN to deal with
these jerks. UGun is just a simple right angle and it can be really helpful in
homing in on these hard-to-reach enemies. Also helpful is that when you hit
an enemy with the team attack (x) you next UMorph attack will home in on that
enemy.

***SECRET MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

For this secret mission you have to turn around after finishing mission 004.
Jump back down onto the street and look for the portal to the KAHKOO-REGAH
which takes you to a hoedown rocket brawl. This is actually a stupid and
challenging fight because you only get a couple of guys, not enough to make
morphs, so you can only use those rocket items to attack the hoedowns. You
may have noticed that I have at no point recommended using those items because
they slow you down and don't aim well. Well, to make matters even worse you're
going to be facing two hoedowns at once and they will both be shooting at you
so every time you see them powering up you need to jump or even double jump
as far as you can to escape the blast radius. Here's the kicker though: if you
let them, these guys will move to opposite ends of the arena, which means that
one of them will be offscreen AND THEY WILL STILL ATTACK YOU EVEN FROM
OFFSCREEN. So yeah, you can expect to have a lot of high velocity shots coming
at you from out of nowhere, pretty much alternating with the shots from the
enemy you can see. Try and focus on one enemy and get it dead, or hurt them
both a little to flip them both on their backs. Oh, and hurry up while you're
doing it, because there is a timer, and once the hoedowns are gone a diedough
goo spawns and while he is infinitely easier, he still takes time.

!WONDER FIGURES - 73, 99, or 2 - Your rewards, depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

After mission 004 you can build a wonderbridge over to the next building (or
fly there using a UFO if one of those spawned from the defeated jerks). You
are being attacked by the cannon so see if you can pick up some projectiles
with the UGun and fire them back. Then make your way down to the street and
around to the courtyard where the cannon was. Now you get to fight two more
hoedowns and a scorpion.

! Hero Heart Fragment

Afterwards you can get a PLATINUM COIN from the circle where the cannon was,
and if you jump into the water (and have UHammer) you can find a HERO HEART
FRAGMENT. Also there are some other circular areas you can interact with
through the hammer or wonderliner to get items.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

It's almost time for another one of those nauseating screen-shifting exercises.
This one is even more opaque in what it wants you to do. First you'll have to
fight some diedoughgoos and then run over to the stadium area. Look around the
area here for collectibles.

! Wonderful File No. 17
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Kabuki

One of the buildings on the street has an open window you can probe to get a
wonderfulfile, and another building has a platinum coin, and so does the green
wondercrate. There are also lots of citizens to help and one of them turns out
to be WONDER KABUKI.

***MISSION 008 - OPEN THE DOOR!***

Open up the stadium with a USword and head inside and turn your attention to
your gamepad screen. Turn left when you enter and be on the lookout for a blue
battery thing you can pick up with the UGun. It has fallen out of the electric
circuit above it so you can just double jump and shoot it back to where its
supposed to be. After that you'll notice on your tv screen that the circle in
front of the stadium is blinking in a pattern. Back on your gamepad screen
when you go to the upper level of the stadium (pick up the wonderfulone there
while you're at it) you'll notice that there is a glowing Platinum Baseball.
What you want to do is shoot that baseball in time with the blinking light on
the other screen. You need to shoot it when that blinking light is under the
three distinguished sections of that wheel, and each time you get one the
rotating light will speed up. Hopefully once you know what to do you won't find
it quite so frustrating.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Science - This guy is handing out inside the building.
! Hero Heart Fragment - If you can get a hold of the camera, look up above the
stairs to see this thing hanging on the ceiling.

***MISSION 009 - DESTROY THE TARGETS!***

When you get out onto the baseball field you'll meet the first BOSS in this
game, LAAMBO. Your real battle against him will take place in the next
mission. This is just foreplay.

Laambo has a big fortress with all kinds of armaments to keep you on your toes.
This thing will constantly be firing off missiles and projectiles at you.
You're gonna want to pick up those projectiles with UGun before they turn red
and attack you again. Fire those shots back at the four cannons and jump before
shooting so that you can hit the cannons. Take them out one by one to make
the battlefield more manageable. Oh, and don't think you can get close to this
thing because it will totally electrocute you (but then again USword absorbs
electricity).

After the four cannons are destroyed Laambo will attack you himself. He has a
big sword and good defences. He'll block your attacks for a good long while and
he's hard to stun but sometimes as he stops guarding you can start attacking
him. He'll try to kick you sometimes if you're close but this is a good time
to UGuts him. His sword moves aren't blockable in the same way so just steer
clear, but if he misses you with forwards or downwards slashes he will be
vulnerable to attacks. His spin move is much more devastating. If Wonder Blue's
face ever appears on screen it is because he wants you to draw his sword as a
way of countering Laambo.

When Laambo retreats your team stays behind to finish off the anti-air cannon.
A doughgoomba appears on the field with a BASEBALL bat that you'll need to pick
up somehow in the midst of all of the chaos of enemies and missiles and cannon
fire. Anyways when you get a hold of the bat head on over to home plate and
wait for the cannon to fire its shot at you. It moves sort of slow so wait a
half second before swinging and sending that projectile right back where it
came from. Repeat this maneuver three times to destroy the anti-air cannon and
complete the mission. But Laambo got away and it looks like he's causing
trouble across town, so get a move on to the next level and the real boss
fight.

OPERATION 001C - OROCHI STRIKES BACK [402]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mission is the first real BOSS BATTLE. There is no traversing environments
or fighting hordes of enemies or picking up collectibles or anything like that.
It is just a fight between you and a giant monster. But don't think it is a
straightforward bout. As you will soon appreciate, the boss fights in The
Wonderful 101 are multifaceted and dynamic affairs, filled with non-standard
gameplay, quick-time events, shifts in genre, and just general over the top
spectacle. Good luck getting through this whole thing without getting damaged
enough to blow your score at the end.

Oh yes, you will be graded for the entire performance.

Okay so when the battle starts it looks like Laambo has got himself a new
friend named OHROWCHEE, a blue eyes ultimate dragon Laambo likes to fly
around on. Ohrowchee gets a hold of the goddess statue and flies away, but
you pursue it in the VIRGIN VICTORY. When the battle begins you will be given
a quick overview of the flight controls. basically you have to helm the ship
using UFist and steer and shoot and Ohrowchee. Make sure to shoot all of the
projectiles/debris heading your way so that you don't get knocked off of the
helm and have to redo your morph, or worse, make a USword to get rid of that
blue gunk thing. You can also press 'b' to speed up and dodge under collapsing
buildings. Anyways this is pretty straightforward and the only problem is in
remembering that your left stuck controls both your aiming and your flight
path so you have to aim and dodge stuff with the same input.

At the end of this section you have to shoot an ANCHOR at Ohrowchee which can
be kind of a pain the first time but basically what you have to do is line
your cursor up with his tail so that it flashes green and then fire and then
keep the cursor lined up until the anchor connects. Don't worry if you miss
because Ohrowchee is dazed and won't be fighting back for a while. Anyways once
you connect you have to run across the chain which isn't terribly difficult
balancing just move the stick against how your character is leaning. Then
you'll UFist and then jump over some spikes and then move on to the next phase
of the battle.

You'll be fighting two of the dragonheads. They have a variety of moves they
will use on you, but mostly they will be nice enough to take turns. When they
are close up you should take every opportunity to attack them, or you could
just pelt them with UGun the whole time regardless. Dodge their attacks or if
possible reflect them back somehow. Sometimes they use a blue beam that can be
reflected at the other head for massive damage and you shouldn't miss that
opportunity. Also sometimes there is a quicktime event where they try to eat
you but a Wonder Blue face appears on your screen indicating that having his
UMorph out will save you.

Then you get to fight LAAMBO again. It's pretty much the same fight but he's
a bit tougher this time and also the arena is smaller and harder to maneuver
around. Try to hit him from behind if you can but again he is hard to stun and
when he swings his sword around it will cut through UGuts and it covers like
the whole arena now.

Anyways after that you go back to the dragons and eventually the one on the
left will die and then you will have to use UNITE BUILD to fill in his eye and
take control of him. This can be tricky to figure out at first, especially
since the other dragon will still be attacking you. But when you are able,
round up all 100 of your guys and stand right in front of where PStar is
holograming the dragoneye. Wonderline ALL of your guys in there, and if they
don't all go in the first time don't reset the wonderliner but instead move a
little bit and try pushing more guys in until it works.

And if you manage to get through that you'll be in the last phase of the fight
where you and the statue are falling and you have to reach it before it hits
the ground. It's not as hard as it seems. Make UFist to hurl those red thingies
at Ohrowchee, but press 'y' to break the morph after every one so you can run
to the next one quickly. And when he attacks the platform you are on you can
block it with USword. When he is attacking the platform by charging it though
you have to Wonder Jump and red will tell you this the first time. The rest of
the times though you're going to see Ohrowchee charging at you and you're gonna
wanna just be mashing 'b' so that you get away in time.

When you get down to the GODDESS STATUE you can make a UGun and press 'A' lots
of times for megapoints. Then you'll be in this section where Laambo is
attacking with sword flybys and you'll have to attack him with your USword.
When Blue's head is onscreen you can just stand there and Laambo will take
damage but otherwise you're gonna have to jump and swing at him when he draws
in close. Anyways when that's done you just UBuild to fill in the Goddess
Statue's Arrow and you're golden.

===============================================================================
5. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 002 - BLOSSOM CITY CENTER [500]
===============================================================================

Operation 002 is... still in Blossom City? What's up with that?

In this level you're going to be getting another new morph and fighting some
much tougher bosses. Make sure that you have Unite Guts and Unite Dodge by
now. I don't care what you spend the rest of your money on, just make sure you
have those things. You might also want to pick up the 'improved' version of
Unite Dodge, the one that lets you turn into a ball and roll away, because
that is quite handy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 002A - BLOSSOM CITY TOWER [501]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So you're back in Blossom City even though the super reactor is safe and sound.
What could be left to threaten you? Oh, I don't know, how about ANOTHER RACE
OF ALIEN INVADERS TOTALLY DISTINCT FROM THE LAST ONE AND ALSO THEY HAVE ALL
OF YOUR POWERS? Yeah, how about that? Also you're going to be recruiting a new
unite morph to your team which has a lot of uses. This level is actually a bit
shorter than the other ones so that is definitely a plus even if it does drag
in the middle with a vehicle segment and the miniboss fight against VORKENN and
the GUYZOCK.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

! Wonder Figure No. 89 - Right when the level starts you can draw a wonderliner
around the circle you start in. Always draw around circles if you want to get
stuff.

Now when the level starts it looks like you're on some buildings or something
I don't know it doesn't really matter. Move ahead and you'll see that there are
plenty of citizens to recruit and try to get some on your side before stepping
into the middle of the area and triggering the first fight against some dough
goos and a raydown.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Chef - This guy is among the many citizens calling
for help in this first area.

Move on ahead and look for a building with some batteries on it, indicating
that you should make a wonderchain and climb up there. There is a GATCHA up
there with some citizens and a wonderful one inside.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Nurse - is inside the gatcha on the building.

! Hero Heart Fragment - Maybe you saw this when you were climbing the building.
It is just floating out in space, somewhere indistinct since it casts no
shadow. You can jump to it I don't think, but if you extend a wonderliner out
from the nearest corner of the building it should reach it for you.

Next you'll have to make a wonderglider and fly over a relatively long section
of space so I hope you understand how the glider controls work. Try and pick
up all of the batteries and the platinum coin along the way.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Makeup - There are more citizens to recruit when you
land your glider, and wonder-makeup is among them.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

So keep moving ahead and building wonderbridges and moving through the level
until you get to a fight with some diedoughgoos.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Medicine - There is also a gatcha around here with
a wonderful one inside.

Then you can use USword to upon up a door and step out onto a... railbound...
plane... thingie. I don't know exactly what the vehicle is but anyways you
have to go out and stand on it and then wait a few seconds before it departs.
Before you go, though, you can pick up a few things:

! Wonderful Figure No. 70 - Inisde the green wonder crate.

! Geathjerk File No. 10 - Inside the wonder toilet.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This is the one-rails vehicle section of the level and it's actually quite
lengthy. There are two distinct parts to this mission. In the first the camera
will be zoomed in behind your vehicle and you will be looking ahead to see
various obstacles in your path, including holes to jump over and barriers to
avoid. The vehicle is moving slowly enough that you should have plenty of time
to react. It's best to stay on the middle track when you don't know what is
ahead.

In the other section of this mission the camera will zoom out to help you try
and defend your craft from alien attackers, including a new enemy, the HAH-
MARKEES. They are just little projectiles that come from behind you and they
are easily dispatched with the UGun. You can just stay on one track and shoot
the enemies behind you, or you can also shoot at the enemies on the other
tracks to get some more points. Also at one point some enemies appear on your
vehicle but they are puny and weak.

And then you'll be chased by a coughfoon that shoots at you with a big blue
laser gun, so of course you want to reflect that attack back at it with the
USword and it only takes a couple of rounds until it explodes. There will still
be missiles coming at you too so bring UGun out when you can to shoot them
down and even blow up the coughfoon if you can.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now you'll be introduced to wonder red's foil, the heir to the throne of the
roaming Rhullo and leader of the space pirate band known as the Guyzock,
Prince Vorkken. His introduction is so lengthy and gets repeated so often
during the game that I was able to reproduce the preceding sentence from
memory. You'll be fighting this guy a lot in the future, but right now he is
actually very easy... so long as you have Unite Guts. You have bought that by
now, haven't you? You really should have.

Vorkken has 100 followers and can use Unite Morphs... indeed he uses the same
Unite Morphs that you do, plus one extra one that he won't pull out until he's
low on health. Mostly he'll be attacking you with UFist, which is super nice
of him because UGuts can block that attack quite handily, and when it does
Vorkken will temporarily lose his followers and be vulnerable to your attacks.
In future fights you will have to dodge successions of deadly attacks before
he is kind enough to pull out the blockable UFist, but today that is pretty
much all he uses and you can just practice blocking attacks and then
capitalizing on the opening that creates. Sometimes you'll have to block a
couple of punches before he loses all of his guys, and even then he may still
try to swipe at you with his little fists (which can still hurt you).

As the fight progresses he will start pulling out better UMorphs like the UGun
or making a version of a rampaging robot. Just avoid those and wait for him
to pull out the fist and invite destruction. This is really just a practice
fight for your many repeated encounters so it should be over quickly.

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This one is a fight against two raydowns, so it's super easy. Just stand around
with your sword out until they destroy their own shields, and if they make
some indication that they are going to try physically attacking you, then you
can just uses UGuts. Simple as pie.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Clockwork - This guy is hiding in the wonder toilet
behind the raydowns.

! Wonderful File No. 7 - Use UHammer on the roof of the building next to the
raydowns.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After mission 005 you can run back to where mission 005 started and there will
be a Kahkoo-Regah place to go to. This time you're only fighting doughgoos
and chewdoughgoos and you only have a couple of wonderful ones but it is
enough to make a wonderliner to recruit your dying enemies so you should
totally do that and soon you'll have a force large enough to overkill your
weak opponents.

! Wonderful Figures No. 27, No. 72, and No. 4 - normal, hard, and 101%

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Head on back to where the raydowns were and you'll notice a pink wonder crate
and a construction crane with a hook on it, aka, lots of stuff you could use
a whip on. You may be thinking that you're about to get access to Unite Whip,
and you would be right. Make a chain and climb up a building and you will run
into a new enemy called the GEDIE DOUGH GOO, aka the robot covered in blue
spikes. You can't hurt this guy at first but then WONDER PINK will show up and
her move allows you to yank off his armor 1 piece at a time... or rather...
1 piece every couple of lashes it actually takes a while. You can draw her
Morph using an 'S' shape and it seems easy now but later on when you get lots
of other morphs they can sometimes confuse with this.

! Platinum Coin 5/5 - After the fight you can open up that pink wonder crate.

***MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

When you hop back down you'll be in another fight with a scorpion guy but he's
old news. Destroy him.

! Wonderful File No. 5 - You can wonderliner across the gap you are about to
jump across to get into an open window and get a file.

So then you just have to solve a simple environmental puzzle to get to the end
of the level. Use UGun to shoot a target and get the crane to swing, and then
use UWhip on the hook to swing yourself over to the next building and the end
of the stage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something spooky is going on at the Blossom City amusement park and its up to
you and your ragtag band of friends to get to the bottom of it.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

! Geathjerk File No. 8 - When this level starts you can wonderliner a building
for a file.

First thing you want to do in this level is use USword to unleash some water so
you can slide down a waterslide yippie! But then it's all serious business...
at least until you get to the ferris wheel. Anyways there are a whole bunch
of things to collect at the bottom of the slide and only a few weak enemies.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Ribbon is down there with some citizens

! Geathjerk File No. 7 - inside the Wonder Toilet

! Hero Heart Fragment - needs lots of guys and UBall. Use the airvent to fly.

! Wonderful Figure No. 97 - Inside yellow wondercrate (so come back with Yello)

! Platinum Coin 1/5 - Wonderliner garden of brown flowers.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now you get to ride on the fun ferris wheel yay! But first you should probably
pick up all of the stuff around it. There are some items you can pick up here
that are like free-damage-doing items that you may find useful in the future.

! Wonderful Ones - Wonderland and Pierrot - playing around the ferriswheel

! Platinum Coin 2/5 - This is in the ferris wheel you see if you can fill it
up with your guys or just try riding it a few times.

! Geathjerk File No. 5 - after the ferris wheel you can wonderliner the fan

At the top of the ferris wheel you can use air vents to launch you into the
air and over to your next fight which is against a GEDIE DOUGH GOO which you
hopefully remember how to handle using UWhip.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

When you get to the end of the building a cutscene will play wherein you are
introduced to a new enemy... the NYERK. Actually I think you can meet these
guys in the form of projectiles during the Ohrowchee fight, even though they
were never introduced there and it was kind of up to you to figure out that
they were weak to USword. This guy is weak to Usword so you should use that
on him a lot. When he looks like he's about to extend his spikes out and
screech horribly then you should get away from him because they don't actually
extend out that far.

After this fight you can pick up some nice things and also double back for
a secret fight, or go on forward for a secret fight. Or do both. Or neither.
Whatever man.

! Platinum Coin 3/5 - wonderliner the three circular designs on the ground.

***SECRET MISSION 004 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***
So after Nyerk you can head on back to the waterslide for some more fun. There
will be two raydowns and a hoedown there all firing at you, and sure enough
they are far apart and will try to shoot at you from offscreen. Luckily for
you the hoedown is on a platform that you can hide under so that it can't
fire at you while you deal with the raydowns. That's one way of simplifying
this mission, anyways.

*** SECRET MISSION 005 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

After defeating Nyerk and going forward to the next building you can turn
left and make a unite chain to get on up to a secret platform with a kahkoo
regah place on it. The place you want to go up from his this billboard thing
behind a wonder toilet.

! Wonderful Figures No. 79, 90, and 107, on normal, hard, and very hard, resp.

***MISSION 006 - RUN AWAY LIKE A COWARDLY LION!***

After Nyerk you can make a wonderbridge onto a building with a few things to
pick up but tread cautiously so you can get them before triggering a giant
robot to come flying in and destroy the building.

! Geathjerk Files No. 4 and 44 are in a red wondercrate and a wondertoilet
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Cheerleader is also up here.

So anyways when the robot destroys the building you have to run away until you
get to the next mission.

***MISSION 007 - GO FORWARD!***

Then you find yourself on a building with a gatcha and of course that means
a bunch of weak enemies trying to smack your behind but hey its no biggie.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Shopping - inside the gatcha
! Wonderful Figure No. 30 - Inside the blue wondercrate
! Wonderful Figure No. 28 - Inside the wonder toilet.

When you go inside the building all hell will break loose and you'll have to
run across some collapsing platforms. Don't try to jump ahead of the path or
anything just run where you're supposed to go and when the ground falls out
from under your feat a short hop is all that is needed to get back on the path.
And as always in this game, death is a slap on the wrist. When you get to the
top of the first section the building you are in will twist around and you'll
run across some blue platforms and have to build some bridges and use UWhip
to get across the last chasm. Then you're just a wonderjump away from a fun
Wonder Glider ride where you don't even have to use the regular glider
controls.

***MISSION 008 - RIDE THE LIGHTNING!***

This is a vehicular section where you are riding inside of a coughfoon. You're
gonna have to use a split screen and divide your attention but it is not too
much of a stretch from those DS or 3DS games make you do sometimes. Actually
I haven't seen many WiiU games take up this kind of two screen action, now
that I think about it. What's up with that?

When you go into the ship and look on your gamepad screen you will have to
run up to the upper level of the ship to turn it on and get it flying. Your
guys will be mostly safe in here until much later on when a single enemy shows
up to distract you from the ship to ship action.

On the upper screen your ship will be flying straight ahead into waves of
enemies and also some buildings. You can run into enemies to destroy them but
you don't want to let them shoot you and you don't want to run into buildings.
On the lower screen you move around your wonderful guys to press four buttons
which correspond to moving your ship left, right, and also firing the main
weapon and finally jumping. The main weapon fires ahead for a few seconds so
you can turn it on and then move the ship to shoot many things at once.
Basically you just have to shoot the things right in front of you to advance
but if you want lots of points you have to move around and shoot lots of
things. Oh, and also you can shoot the buildings in front of you and there is
no penalty for doing so even though you are actively killing thousands of
civilians.

***MISSION 009 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Well you're back in the regular level and that last mission will just seem
like an extended trip that is very hazy in your memory, like a lot of lost
time.

! Wonderful File No. 6 - trace the lines in the grass on the roof

! Platinum Coins 4 and 5 - wonderliner some grass and an open window.

There is one more new enemy for you to fight... though I use the term 'new'
only technically since it is just a hoedown with some of those blue spikes on
it's shield that need to be pulled off with UWhip. I think it's called a
GEHDOWN.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 002C - MECHA GOOJIN REDUX [503]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a massive boss battle that seems at first like it's going to be against
a UFO looking thing but instead turns out to be the return of that giant robot
you fought in Operation 001B. Yep he's back and he has a coughfoon for an arm
now which means plenty of lasers coming your way. This is actually a tough
and long fight and you should consider lowering the difficulty if it's your
first time. Also if the fight goes on long enough you may for the first time
ever deplete your WONDER GAUGE or whatever its called. When this happens I
hope you remember that you probably have some items that can replenish your
battery power. Maybe you should consider buying some from the market before
heading into the fray.

When the level starts you'll swing onto the PARASITIC INTELLIGENCE EXTRACTOR
that is attacking Blossom Tower. You have to destroy the pie's glowing core
while also watching out for the doughgoos who try to pester you. It may help
you to recruit them since if this is your first playthrough you won't be
starting this level with very many guys. When you knock off a few of the pie
core's health bars it will change color and start shooting lasers out at you
and rotating them around. You can keep attacking it though between the lasers
and you can jump over the laser beams. Sometimes it will send out a red
field that prevents you from Morphing but that will pass and you can then
destroy the core.

Then Gah-Goojin shows up and its up to you to prevent him from wrecking the
tower, which is totally easier said than done. Actually you can repair the
tower a little bit by wrapping your wonderliner around the holes that will
surely accumulate on its surface. The tower has a health meter on the lower
left corner of the screen and it will probably take a lot of hits but as
always, death means almost nothing in this game and when you CONTINUE then
the tower will be healed but the boss won't be. Anyways I think if you want to
heal the tower with your wonderliner that you have to do it one hole at a time
instead of healing everything at once.

At the very beginning gahgoojin will grab the tower with his hand and if you
don't damage his hand quickly enough then he will overturn the tower right then
and there. He'll bust this move out periodically and letting him get away with
it is an instant-death scenario.

GahGoojin has lots of other attacks too, some of which you can block and some
you can't. Like sometimes he shoots the tower with these blue shots out of his
eyes and I don't know how to stop that so I guess you should just attack him
while he is shooting up the tower. You can shoot him from far away with UGun
to get guys to crawl on him and that helps a bit.

Sometimes GDA forces will arrive on the tower to provide you with extra
recruits, but conversely gahgoojin can also call in reinforcement robots to
the tower to distract you. If WONDER PINK's face ever appears on screen that
means there is an opportunity for you to bust out your UWhip and get a ride on
a plane and do massive damage... if you blow that opportunity though you'll
pay for it. There is also a UGun quicktime event where you'll need your UGun
handy.

Another attack Gahgoojin busts out is to shoot his fist at the tower but like
he keeps them tethered on ropes and you can totally cut those ropes with the
USword. Be careful though because even though he only has one hand he wraps it
around the tower three times. Gahgoojin sometimes just punches the tower and
that can create shockwaves.

GG can also shoot freaking laser beams out of his head for more massive damage.
Oh, and sometimes he gets spikey armor you have to UWhip away. And sometimes
he shoots those projectile balls onto the tower and you have to clear them off
with UGun.

Eventually you'll defeat him and then there will be a couple of outrageous
cutscenes. And then when he's lying dead on the tower you have to press 'b' to
enter him and run across some platforms through his innards. There are moving
platforms to navigate and then there is electricity which can zap you unless of
course you are carrying USword because that absorbs electricity and a powered
up sword can take out the core super fast.

Then you'll be back outside and just a few more QTEs away from victory. Mash
those buttons vigorously for great justice!

===============================================================================
6. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 003 - STRATO PORT STRATOSPHERIC AIRPORT [600]
===============================================================================

I don't know why this level is named as it as since most of the time you're
going to be playing on stratospheric airliners and not in the stratospheric
airport. Whatever. Anyways there is another shield generator here and you need
to defend it from enemy aircraft. This actually involves fewer air vehicle
combat missions than you might expect (though it's not zero). This is also the
operation where LUKA joins the wonderful ones. It seems that he has momentarily
forgotten how much he hates them. You'll also meet up with the scientist/
engineer behind all of the Centinel's technology: Professor Shirogane, though
he pretty much disappears into the background until the end of the operation.

More importantly, this is the operation where you get WONDER YELLOW and his
UNITE HAMMER. This is the morph you use to get secret items and collectibles in
this game so if you're into treasure hunting you should pick up the TREASURE
SENSOR (or whatever it's called) in the Wonderful Mart before you start out.
Sure, the collectibles don't do much but look pretty, and most items are
totally useless, but it's still fun to collect 'em all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 003A - HAMMERS ON A PLANE [601]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're dispatched to the pacific theatre for an epic aerial dogfight. When you
hop aboard a plane you'll find that kid Luka in on board and you'll let him
join the wonderful 100. Don't worry about what Red says about protecting him.
Having Luka on your team has no effect on gameplay and you should use him as
a human shield/human weapon just like anyone else.

***SECRET MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Oh, for some reason in this level you start in mission 002 and mission 001 is
a secret. Totally weird, right? To get here you have to outside from the first
room you are in. You will see a knob you are supposed to turn with UFist but
instead of doing that you should run up the ramp behind you to find the KAHKOO
REGAN circle and warp into this secret area.

Inside you'll be fighting two NYERKS and they are pretty simple opponents and
you should have no trouble running circles around the both of them and cutting
them up with USword. When they start shooting their lasers you had better have
that sword out so you don't get fried. The attack they use most often is just
to slowly jump in the air and try and grab you. This attack has a surprising
extra bit of forward range but if you run to the side you will be fine. And
even if you do get captured you just have to wiggle your left stick to get
free, just like you do to drop an item, so it's not big deal.

! Beating these guys gets you Wonder Figures No. 22, No. 36, and No. 5

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

When you're outside on the plane you have to dodge between flames and missile
attacks to proceed. The enemies here aren't too tough at least. You have to
cross from one plane to another using UBuild but before you do you should go
look around for secrets out on the wings. Ah, maybe not, since you need the
Unite Hammer to get them and if this is your first time playing the level you
won't have UHammer. Better luck next time.

! Wonderful Figures No. 40 and No. 16 and No. 52
! Platinum Coin 1/5
! Wonderful Ones - Wonder-Prince and Wonder-Clean are around

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Inside the next plane you'll find PROFESSOR SHIROGANE and he'll mutter
incoherently about something. I guess he joins or team, or maybe he just goes
a way for a little while? Whatever, you've got some adventuring and combatting
to do. The next room is full of sliding cargo boxes and if you have a hammer
they are full of secrets, too.

! Geathjerk File No. 12 needs a hammer
! Geathjerk File No. 11 just needs you to wonderliner an elevator

Your opponent this time is a couple of hoes and really that shouldn't be
any problem. Just beat them up and anyone else who gets in your way.

! Wonderful File No. 08 is inside the Wonderful Toilet past the hoedowns.

When you enter the door after the toilet you'll be trapped and the room will
fill with poisonous gas and there will be no time to save the citizens trapped
inside if you want to save your own life.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Movie is one of the citizens trapped in the gas.

Well actually you have lots of time and you only need to walk through a couple
of rooms and break a few fences so feel free to save a couple of people. At the
end of the line you'll be introduced to WONDER YELLOW and you can use his
UNITE HAMMER to smash through the floor.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You're out of the frying pan and in the fire now, because down in the casino
you're going to be getting into one heck of a fight. First you're going to be
fighting two of the big goo guys at once, and that's bad enough, but after they
go down you're going to be fighting two turtle enemies called MEGANGS and these
things are absolute tanks. Their shells are superhard and so you can team
attack them or hit them with most of your morphs until they are broken, and
even hammering them like you are supposed to takes forever to crack their
shells. You're going to want to hammer them from behind because they will try
to smack you with their claws or hit you with their quick extending heads if
you are in front of them. But don't think you are safe just because you are
behind them, oh no. These guys can attack you with their back legs or even
stand on their legs and pivot around to come crashing down on you. But even
if the turtle you are attacking is tired and you think you are free to wail
away with your slow hammer strikes, you aren't, because these turtles also
have a ranged attack and if you stand still attaking one turtle for any length
of time then the other turtle will strike you from afar.

These turtles are a big pain and killing them is a laborious process. You'll
have to run around them until you can get behind one and land a single strike
before running off again. Don't stand around. And if a turtle gets up on its
back legs and starts pivoting, you can use the Unite Ball Morph to escape but
make sure that you move completely away from the turtle because if you try to
move to the side it will break your ball. When these guys are attacking you
with their feet it is an opportunity to use UGuts to flip them over, but again,
don't stay still in UGuts long or the other one will attack you with a fire
attack. Finally, when these guys get worn down a lot their shell will break
and they will be vulnerable to team attacks and other morphs.

After that fight is over you will notice that you are in a big casino and there
is lots of stuff to look at and things to hammer to get extra goodies.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Gambler - This guy is in the roulette wheel. The
roulette wheel can be spun a couple of times with the hammer and of course
what you want is that Platinum Logo and not any of the items. Winning the
roulette gets you a BOTTLECAP ACHIEVEMENT. Missing three times means you'll
have to try the level again.

! Wonder Figure No. 86 and No. 12 - Hammer circles in the casino room.

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

After cleaning out the casino you can head left to find a crack in the floor
that cries out to be hammered but don't do it too quickly because there is
stuff to collect here too.

! - Wonder File No. 9 is inside a yellow wonder crate.
! Platinum Coin 2/5

Hey, isn't breaking through the floor of an airplane a really terrible idea?
Well you're outside now and you can hammer some more wing sections for items
before hammering through the plane again to get inside. I am not exactly sure
what the layout of this thing is supposed to be.

! - Wonder Figure No. 41 - hammer one of the wing sections.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

When you're back inside you have to USword the keyhole but it turns out that
it needs electricity and to do that you need to wonderchain back outside and
pick up some lightning with your sword. Unfortunately getting the electricity
summons two raydowns to come mess with you but since your sword is out already
you should have no problem handling them. Bring the lightning back inside and
power up the door to advance.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

When you go through the door you'll be on top of a transparent maze thing and
a nyerk will attack you but it's still not a tough opponent and then there is a
scorpion too and when you defeat him he'll drop a knob and you have to have
your dudes pick it up pikmin-style and carry it over to the other side of the
room where there is a broken thing to attach it to.

***MISSION 008 - OPEN THE DOOR!***

The maze below your feet will open up and you can run back and hop down inside.
Unfortunately when you go inside the exit door will lock until you kill the
five DOUGHKUNS that fly around the maze. They can easily be killed by
reflecting their attacks back at them. When you're in the maze you'll have to
look at both screens because the gamepad screen shows you the inside of the
maze and the top screen gives an overview of the maze which is fogged over
but the enemies have lights and you can kind of see where they are and hunt
them down. You do have a time limit but its pretty long. Some of the floors
are electrified and some of the walls need to be smashed to advance so pay
attention to your lower screen and look up at the upper screen just to find
targets. There are lots of things to collect inside the maze but wait until
after you have completed it and ended the timer.

! Platinum coin 3/5 is in the maze somewhere if you break the right walls
! Wonderful Ones - Wonder-sniper and Wonder-fighter are in the maze too.

***MISSION 009 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***

Just before the level can end two more of those horrible turtle enemies show
up. And this room is much smaller than the last area you fought them in. You
can look back to mission 004 for my thoughts on handling the turtles.

OPERATION 003B - STRATOSPHERE STRADDLE [602]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***MISSION 001 - TRIUMPH IN BATTLE!***

Once more onto the breach. Head on outside but quickly run down to the wing
fringes pick up some stuff.

! Geathjerk File No. 13

You have to hop off your plane onto the VV and UBuild a turret with which to
shoot the UFO as it attacks your ally ship. Your ally is the one crying for
'HELP!' and yes it does suffer from friendly fire and it will politely ask you
to 'STOP!' when you shoot it. You'll notice that your ally has a tiny tiny
health bar and it loses a lot of its health right at the beginning of the
battle. You need to be on the ball right from the start. You just have to
shoot and you can't charge up your shots in this fight but you will be able
to in part two.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now you're fighting some small enemies but the trick here is that there is also
a large enemy cannon in the air that will shoot you if you aren't paying
attention to it. You'll need a UGun for a UWhip to reach it but you should
probably just save it until the other guys are already dead. Then two diegoos
show up and you're probably good at dealing with them by now.

After that there is a wonderjumping section which is more or less straight-
forward but there are some secret collectibles on the second and fourth
platforms you can get with the UHammer so go ahead and do that and don't worry
about the timer because if you die you can just try again.

! Geathjerk Files No. 14 and No. 15

Then you'll be on another aircraft and it is spiraling around and can very
easily throw you off. You just have to run against the turn and don't try to
hop over the flames or anything like that. You're looking for a crack you can
UHammer but if you run past that you can pick up a

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Inside you'll have to fight a bunch of those flying saucer jerks but you're
in a spinning tubular room and its hard to judge where they are and it's a real
clustersuck. Try to take out a bunch of them with USword at when they spawn
all close together. After that hit them with team attacks to lock-on for better
attacks.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

Then there is a big wall of fire in front of you and there are two big tanks
inside which luckily turn out to be full of water so when you shoot them the
flames go out. Stand back from the fire and make a UGun and then jump around
until you are level with one of the watertanks. And then you'll have to fight
some more of those pesky jerks.

Then the level will fall away and you'll have to be careful when you proceed.
Don't take any risks or make any jumps where you don't know where you're going
to be landing. If you just follow the path you'll be fine and don't kill
yourself over an insignificant little platinum coin you can use your
wonderliner to reach it if you have to.

Then there is a wonderglider section without any of the wonderliner controls
but there are some things you have to look out for. And then there is some
wonderjumping followed by another glider section before you land on a GDA
aircraft and make another turret to shoot up another UFO thing.

***MISSION 005 - DESTROY THE TARGETS!***

This time you can charge up your shots which you might as well do everytime
the stupid UFO warps somewhere offscreen and you have to rotate your slowly
turning turret. Just keep shooting the thing and if you have to restart the
mission to finish him off it is no big deal at all.

But beating him doesn't do you any good because he destroys the ship you are
on and you have to wonderjump to safety. Also there is a guy to recruit here.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Monkey

Then you're be on an alien ship and there are cracks everywhere for you to
hammer but doing so just makes things hectic and awful for you. A turtle shows
up and also there are blue beams that wash over the battlefield that you have
to jump over. Oh and sometimes the platform tilts and you might fall off. Just
focus on the turtle and also the blue things and also the ground and you'll
get through it eventually.

After that you'll be busting into another stratojet and you'll find a gatcha
around and some more stuff to pick up.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Flower is standing around in this plane.

Then some raydowns appear and you can reflect their lasers with swords. After
that there is a spiky guy you can whip and then when that's done a KAHKOO
REGAH circle appears and sucks you down into the seventh circle of the
inferno. Augh this one is terrible and the designers made it appear right on
the path to make sure that novices would have to deal with it.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Turtles are annoying enough normally, but they're even extra annoying when
you only have 5 hit points and a time limit. Enjoy.

! Wonder Figures No. 15, No. 61, No. 108

And after that you can go through the door on the left and through another
area with some civilians and then you are done. Short level. Your plane
finally makes it to the stratoport but it turns out that Professor Shirogane's
secret defense thing is going to take ten minutes to power up. Just enough
time for a crazy boss battle.

HERO HEART FRAGMENTS: 1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 003C - WANNA'S ONE NIGHT SHOW [603]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next enemy COMMANDER shows up and turns out to be a little bug guy named
WANNA. He doesn't seem so tough himself but he has a giant doomsday weapon
called a DIEJEAH too and when this level starts Wanna is just about to destroy
you and the SUPER REACTOR too. But then another alien shows up and fires a
missile at Wanna's weapon. What the heck is that about? It's actually never
explained or even addressed later in the game, but whatever, just go with it.
Wonder Red grabs onto the missile and when the gameplay starts it is up to you
and the Virgin Victory to guide that thing to its target.

You can't do anything in this first section but try to dodge the incoming
attacks. You don't have a lot of health; riding on a live missile and all.
You can try to stay behind the VV to block some attacks but sometimes attacks
can go right through it, like those horrible lasers. You don't want to get hit
by those. Try to direct the enemy ships into shooting at the VV and then get
yourself out of the way. When you get to the end of this section the action
will slow down and you'll have to line up your missile with the crosshairs over
the enemy core. Take your time and get it right and then wait for the section
to end.

It turns out that the missile just got stuck in the core and didn't do too
much damage. But then you remember that you have a hammer and then the missile
starts looking a lot like a nail. Make a UChain and climb up the side of that
missile and then jump up to the middle platform and press 'Y' or 'A' or
whichever button it is to drive that missile down. Every couple of hits you
get drives it down another level, and every level means that more strange
missile defense weapons spawn to try to knock you off of the missile. Getting
knocked off is annoying because you have to climb back up again so don't get
knocked off. You can see which corners are going to attack so move your guy
to a safe corner to attack.

And then Diejeah transforms into this giant worm thing, or maybe it's a snake.
It's definitely bad news. All you've managed to do is make it mad. Get back
inside of it and run down a dangerous corridor to meet up with wanna and a
smaller snake enemy called an ORGON which is a real pain to deal with,
especially in this environment where it can move offscreen. Orgons can move
through the ground somehow and you can't really attack it while it's down
there. UWhip is your friend against these guys because sometimes they'll stick
their tails out and that means you can pull them out with your whip. If you
don't though then they'll be free to attack you and there will be a blue light
showing them homing in on you and whatnot. In the future orgons will be easier
to fight in large square areas where they basically stay onscreen and you can
always see when they pop back up aboveground.

Then there is a glider section that can be kind of tough. You have to
alternatively dodge a volley of missiles and then the bites of the diejeah.
As for the missiles, I like to move along the edge of the screen and just trace
out the square, maybe cutting corners a bit to make sure the missiles don't
get me. The missiles can slow you down for the diejeah to bite you hard. The
diejeah can be hard to avoid anyways if you don't understand that all you have
to do is figure out which section of the screen its biting and then move
somewhere else. Don't pick a direction to dodge until you know where diejeah
is biting. Wait for the action to slow down and then move in some safe
direction.

Now you're at the main part of the boss fight where it is towering over you
and you have to attack it with your morphs. Actually, save your attacks until
later because most of the damage you can inflict is going to come when you
get a chance to run up on diejeah's head and take a hammer to Wanna's little
control thingie. To get up there you have to watch out for when Diejeah attacks
your platform with his claws to break it up. You dodge the first few strikes
but then the last one will linger for a while and you have to hammer it and
then you can jump on it to run up to where wanna is and give him a good
hammering. You get more time to hammer wanna as the fight goes on. You'll get
the hang of it because this is a long section.

Between your effective attacks you're going to spend a lot of time dodging
attacks on the platform. Don't worry about the structural integrity of the
platform like in the last boss battle in 002C because this time it is an enemy
robot you are standing on and frankly the more of them that diejeah saws in
half, the better. Try not to be standing near the saws yourself though. If
the blades are ever horizontal though you'll be able to hammer them and then
you'll have an opportunity to hit three glowing bulbs on them. I don't think
you can run behind the thing in the center so run around to avoid wasting
time.

Diejeah has lots of other attacks for you to deal with. He shoots missiles
that you can block with UHammer and sometimes they fall onto the platform and
you can pick them up and throw them. He also shoots out blue energy ring things
that are super annoying but if you just stay near him they will crash into the
platform instead of chasing you around. Later in a quicktime event you'll use
USword to throw these things back so I don't know maybe you can do that during
the fight too. Give it a try, and if it doesn't work out, I hope you brought
some healing items.

===============================================================================
7. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 004 - NEO MU OCEAN METROPOLIS [700]
===============================================================================

The next SUPER REACTOR is underwater and yet somehow the geathjerk know
exactly where it is and you're going to have to race to catch up with them.
Is there a mole inside the Wonderful 101? Could anyone really be so evil as
to offer up humanity to the murderous invaders?

This operation gets tangled up in Blue's backstory and it becomes a sort of
personal quest of his to overcome his faults and adjust his attitude.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 004A - 'NEO MU' IS A REFERENCE TO A FICTIONAL LOST CONTINENT [701]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a pretty long level. You get another new member with a new morph:
WONDER WHITE and his UNITE CLAW. It's pretty fun to use. This level involves
a little bit of swimming and moving around in water, which is a drag, as well
as a new mechanic called 'climbing on walls using claws' which is also kind of
slow and limiting. Well, let's get to it.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You start out the level on a the outside of a building. There is lots of stuff
to destroy and a gatcha nearby with a wonderful one inside and also there is
a gjfile in the door behind the gatcha.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-PC
! Geathjerk file No. 19

Build a WChain to climb some buildings and then you get to fight more of those
snake things from the last mission, the ORGONS. This time you're fighting them
in a big open space so it should be easy to see when they poke their tails out
and give them a good whippin'.

! Geathjerk File No. 16 - In the WToilet after the orgons.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

To proceed you have to jump on some moving platforms and you can jump between
them when the one ahead of you comes down to its lowest point. You could
UHammer these platforms to get down to the first Platinum Coin BUT if you do
so you can't get to some secret missions and also PCoins are kinda worthless.
Anyways after jumping on these platforms you can turn right and hop into the
water for a fight against some aquatic mooks.

From now on whenever you are in water you can make a UHammer to sink to the
bottom and then walk around down there. But you don't really wanna do that
this time. If possible you want to defeat the losers here without sinking so
that you can go back after this mission is over and get into the kahkoo
regah. So just ignore PStar's constant buzzing about making a UHammer and swim
around on the water and wait for the enemies to swim up to you and then kill
them up there with UFist or UWhip or something. Then you can hop back on land
and go to the kahkoo regah.

*** SECRET MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***
This fight is against Orgons and I think I've mentioned that I don't think
orgons are too tough. They have electric attacks though so try to protect
yourself with a sword if you can. See if you can't rack up a killer combo
while you're at it.

! Wonderful Figures No. 39, No. 94, and No. 6, depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Go back to mission 002 and sink down into the water with your hammer. Follow
the path until you are about to walk through a waterfall to get to dry land.
I said ABOUT because before you do you can run along the wall but totally stay
within the water and then you can and WLiner a hole in the wall to get

! Geatherjerk File No. 47 - you can't get this after leaving the water.

Then you can hop back onto dry land again and fight hoedowns. Do what you are
meant to do by reflecting their attacks back at them until their shields break
apart. After this mission you continue on by breaking the big crack in the
floor with UHammer but before you do so you should collect some more recruits
and secret things that are scattered around where you are.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Armour is just standing around up there.

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

So you knock the platform underwater with the hammer and then you can
run ahead for a fight or stand around and look for secrets. Anyways the fight
is against a lonely scorpion so it shouldn't be overly difficult.

! Wonderful Figure No. 44 is hidden underwater. Do you have the itemfinder yet?

! Wonderful One - Wonder Pirate is in a gatcha underwater.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You get out of the water by hoping on some crates and then you will have to
UWhip across a chasm before the water sweeps you away.

Then a horrible dragon shows up omg! It's name is HAHGONAY and you will quickly
find out that your attacks have no effect on its shield. After a few seconds
a new Wonderful One named WONDER WHITE appears to save the day. He's not much
as a character, but his special attack is super awesome. Also he has a lot of
sound effects that sound like they were copied over from OKAMI so if you played
that game you might have some fond memories.

So back to the Hahgonay. When it closes its shield over its face you have to
hurry over to it and press 'y' a lot to open it up. If you aren't speedy then
it shoots a bunch of missiles at you. Actually the missiles usually miss if
you are up close but don't manage to draw white's annoying symbol quickly
enough. The best part about opening up these guys with UClaw is that your
character is invulnerable while doing it and that can really help you out
when you're battling a couple of these guys.

When this dragon guy isn't being frozen or otherwise undone by claws he can
be a wonderful pain in the bottom. He has fire breath and sonic breath and he
kicks and swipes his tail and all sorts of tricky business. He's not really
vulnerable to team attack stunning either. Dragons have this one move where
they hop into the air and then swoop down at you and that move can be blocked
with UGuts. I think their kick can be blocked too.

After the fight go back a step and open up that big door with white's claws.

Behind the door there are two pipes and one of them leads to a secret and the
other advances you through the level.

! Wonderful File No. 19 - is through the pipe on the RIGHT. In the circle.
! Wonderful One - Wonder Sailor - is also through the pipe on the right.

***SECRET MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Instead of going through the left pipe of the claw door, you should run back
through the level now to go get a bunch of bonus points for fighting the
world's weakest foe: the Nyerk. Run back and then swing back over the gap
to get back in the water. Sink down and run back until Nyerk appears. Being
underwater kind of sucks but its still just a Nyerk and its not even a Kahkoo
fight with strange rules or anything. Just straight up murder this thing.

I think you actually have to open the UClaw door before this secret mission
triggers... at least... that's how I got it to work... but there was also a
couple of instances of freezing and minor graphical glitches. I don't know...
maybe that's just me?

***MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Take the pipe on the left to advance. Moving on you'll come to a wall and a
little tutorial will explain to you that you can 'climb walls with Unite Claw!'
so you should do that. You can still attack enemies with 'x' and 'a' but don't
press 'y' or you'll let go. You travel along walls by moving around corners
and also by hanging off overhead sections. Enemies can hurt you but its no
big deal and you can kill them or not bother. Have I ever mentioned that Unite
Claw freezes enemies? Maybe I should go add that to my description of the move
back in the UMorph section....

Back on the ground you'll find another hero waiting for you.

! Wonderful One - Wonder Sister

Then you can pull down a wall and swim across some dangerous waters to get
over to a WToilet with a geathjerk file inside.

! Geathjerk File No. 17

After that there is more climbing and then you have to use UGun to shoot two
targets to get some water you can swim on but unfortunately a bunch of those
flying jerks show up and you have to fight them while also swimming around and
its a big hassle and they will disappear and respawn if you try to go on land
and its a big pain.

***MISSION 009 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Use your UHammer to get underwater and you'll soon be fighting a Gediegoo,
which means more whipping. After that there are three pipes to go through and
that means all kinds of things to pick up. The left pipe goes nowhere slowly,
the middle pipe advances you, and the right pipe takes you to secret stuffs.

! Wonderful Figure No. 64 - in the gedie area. use UHammer to unveil it.
! Wonderful One - Wonder Mop is through the right pipe with some civilians.
! Wonderful Figure No. 43 - is also through the right pipe in a yellow WCrate.

***MISSION 010 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Go through the middle pipe and then you'll have to do some clawclimbing or
just swim whatever works for you.

! Wonderful Figure No. 64 - use UHammer in the water here.

Move on ahead and you'll be introduced to VIJOUNNE, the alien officer that
I think is supposed to be like a sinister mermaid or something like that.
Everything she says is sexually suggestive in one way or another and your
various teammates have some... varied responses to this. What it comes down
to is getting Blue all kinds of upset and he jumps in alone for a little 1 on
1 fight which is a really terrible idea when your superpowers come from turning
other people into living weapons.

So you're in for a tough fight. Vijounne is not especially deadly but then
again neither are you. Her basic attack is just to move forward with her
platform spinning threateningly and she telegraphs this rather obviously.
She also can shoot missiles to hurt you or hearts to remove your superpowers.
As for you, well you have two means of attack: the 'x' button, which fills
your Unite Gauge, and the 'a' button, which expends that power. Land some
combos on her and then run away from her attacks. If worse comes to worse you
can use all of those torpedoes you've probably been stockpiling.

After the fight Blue falls to his death.

***MISSION 011 - GO FORWARD!***

The rest of the team has to escape the falling structure using UClaw. Just
avoid the doughgoos that show up because they are annoying to track down. At
the end of this section build a UBridge to get to real ground.

***MISSION 012 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After some mooks are dispersed another one of those dragons shows up. I guess
its good practice.

! Wonderful File No. 11 - Wliner around the 'H' helipad circle.

***MISSION 013 - OPEN THE DOOR!***

Or maybe Blue didn't die after all. Wait, are you under where he fell from?
When did you do down? Did he fall sideways?

Anyways, Immorta shows up again and opens a door for you. Then you'll have to
go inside a building and switch your camera over to the gamepad. Remember that
you can use 'L' and 'R' to center and move the camera around. Anyways, you'll
be climbing up these colored sections while a Coughfoon outside shoots one of
the colors and that somehow electrifies all tiles of that color, so you have
to watch the screen the coughfoon is on to see which tiles are safe and which
aren't It basically means that you otherwise unimpeded climb will be slightly
impeded but not in a difficult way at all.

So yeah you go inside and the door to get out is locked so you turn around
and see a path you can jump onto and then a wall to start climbing with UClaw.
There are only a couple of sections of climbing and if ever the trail just ends
well you are probably able to move around a corner to continue on.

! Hero heart Fragment - At the top of the structure there is lots of stuff to
break and a green WCrate. Behind some stuff there is an indistinct arrow
pointing up and when you find that spot build a UChain to climb up to a secret
area and collect a piece of heart.

So you're at the top and you found the secret heart and then all you have to
do is walk over to the machine and put your USword inside and that will open
the door down on the lower level. You can jump through a hole to get there but
when you try to leave the coughfoon will be shooting its laser at the door and
that means you need to carry your sword out.

Then you can go outside and the level will be over! Boy, that was a long one.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 004B - THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA [702]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things come to a head here as Red and Blue have it out. Most of this level has
you playing as only Wonder Red as the rest of your team is incapacitated. That
means for the long middle section of the level that there is nothing much to
collect.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Pick up those batteries right at the start of the level because immediately
afterwards you're going to be in a miniboss fight against Prince Vorkken!
This fight isn't so tough because Vorkenn doesn't use whips and claws as
much as you should do. Your UClaws or UWhips are great for slicing him up.
He still uses UFist and UHammer pretty regularly and they are easy enough to
block and then make him defenceless. Watch out when he uses UGuts though
because he will come out of that using the UWhip's cyclone move and that has
a wide range so run away. He can make Nyerks and Orgons and Megangs and he has
a UBoomarang move that is a nasty projectile but this is really another
practice fight. Your next encounter with him won't be so easy.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Well with that out of the way you can begin the level proper and there is lots
of stuff to pick up around here. There is a GATCHA and a garden and a toilet
and some citizens to kidnap. Be careful that some stupid tiny jerks don't
ambush you while you're doing all of that.

Run up ahead to find a burning building and then Luka will run in on his own
and also lock you out and also he summons a new enemy to come and attack you.
It's called an AHNKO and its not actually as new as it appears. Do you
remember the first alien officer LAAMBO? This guy is just the mass-produced
flunkie version of that miniboss guy. He has a big sword and will block your
attacks if you try to come at him head on. He also has a devastating spin move
but he winds up for that by raising his sword overhead so you should have
plenty of time to run to safety. He has a kick and a jump attack and a claw
attack that are all blockable, but mostly he will be stabbing his sword towards
you and you will have to use this brief opportunity to attack him.

After this battle you can take the elevator down to the deep sea sector OR
you can suicidally jump off of the bottom-right-ish side of this platform to
find a secret area.

***SECRET MISSION 003 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

So you jumped off of the platform and found a secret area, eh? Well the first
thing you'll see is a weird looking crate that you can't unlock until you
have WONDER BLACK and you get him in Operation 005A... so what is inside that
crate will have to remain a mystery.

! Wonderful figure No. 32 - inside the black WCrate.

Take the warpipe to get inside a watery area and recruit some citizens. There
is a suspicious shape on the ground you should trace if you want to get a GJF.

! Geathjerk File No. 48 - trace the zigzag shape on the ground here.
! Wonder-Vegetable - is recruitable here

Once you have everything from inside here you can leave the water and return
to the start of mission 002 to find a KAHKOO REGAH circle. Or at least...
that's what I've heard. I can't get this one to work. Maybe it exists, maybe
it doesn't.

Inside you'll find that ship thing that Wanna was riding around in during the
last boss fight. You only have 10 guys but that is more than enough to team
attack it until it gets stunned and then beat it senseless. The kinds of
morphs you can make here are restricted so it's a little wierd. It will try to
shoot you but you can reflect its projectiles.

! Wonder Figures No. 55, No. 34, No. 110, on normal, hard, and 101% mode.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

So you open the door with UClaw and fall down into the deep sea sector. You can
run on ahead for a fight with what are actually raydowns but they looked like
hoedowns to me... until they lasered me. After them two megangs show up and
they are as unpleasant as ever. After the fight is over you can jump in the
water to pick up some items if you like.

! Wonderful File No. 10 is near the crate in a hammerspot.
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Padlock - one of the people needing help in the water
! Geathjerk Fle No. 18 - in the WToilet when you go down the next corridor.

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

It's Vijounne again! She creates a whole in the tank and to keep it from
filling with water you have to use all of your allies except Red and Blue to
plug the whole. Take control of Red and run up the corridor alone. Eventually
you'll meet up with Immorta and the music will get very... cozy. She explains
that she is trying to help you and then disappears.

Keep running down this corridor until you find Blue in over his head against
a couple of doughgoons. You and Blue have to fight waves and waves of these
guys while having a dialogue. The only thing you need to know about the
combat for the next couple of sections is that Blue is not good at taking out
enemies but he can stun them. Your attacks are much better for actually killing
these guys.

! Hero Heart Fragment - Go up from this platform and jump off a submarine.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Head right and you'll go up another corridor and there will be a lot more talk
between red and blue as you fight more and more goons. Red threatens Blue, or
at least Blue takes it that way, and that means your next mission is going to
be a straight up fight between these two.

***MISSION 007 - REASON WITH BLUE... WITH YOUR FISTS!***

Basically Blue uses a simple sword combo and if he misses he will be
vulnerable for a short while. Unfortunately his sword combo is super powerful.
I hope you brought healing items. Run in and attack him between his combos
and then run away. You have limited block and dodge capabilities. I prefer
the latter. You also have access to all of your SKILLS like cyclone and rising
but they aren't super killer, unlike Blue's. Oh, and your 'a' button uses
special power and 'x' refills the unite gauge.

***MISSION 008 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

After the brawl you can use UFist you make a bridge but its kind of different
than normal because you have to mash 'y' to make it turn, like you're using
UClaw to open something instead of the usual mechanic. You'll be fighting
more waves of little mooks but right now the focus is on Blue's expository
monologue of his backstory. It turns out that he knows Vijounne personally,
or at least thinks he does. His story is a little fishy imo. I mean, wouldn't
his brother notice that his 'partner' was twenty feet tall, had blue skin, and
had a tongue like those aliens in that movie 'aliens'?

***MISSION 009 - RECHARGE THE ROOM'S ENERGY!***

This time you're fighting a diegoughgoo but he doesn't have as much health as
he would normally. Afterwards though you have to do this puzzle thing to
recharge the batteries. A bunch of plugs show up and you have to make a chain
of electricity from one plug to the next... but you also have to have both red
and blue complete one set before you start the next set. And you're controlling
them separately using the two thumbsticks. I'm not really coordinated enough
to control them both in the mirror-fashion that moving them together requires.
What I do to get through this is to take Red and move him to the first node,
then I take Blue to his first node and then his second, then I switch back to
red for his second and third, then Blue's third and fourth, then Red's fourth
and fifth... and you see what I'm getting at is a way of moving them one at
a time while also not losing too much time switching between them after one
move each.

***MISSION 010 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Turn around and run back to your team. Luckily you don't have to run all the
way back because Vijounne shows up and rolls Red up in a carpet and throws him
off a bridge.

Then you're Wonder-Blue and you have one minute with which to slice up Wonder-
Red with your sword. Your friends show up to make USword and stick the landing.
Then the level will be practically over except to collect a few things.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Plane - in a gatcha
! Wonderful Figure No. 35 - Inside a blue WCrate.

Okay so there is one more serious fight before this level ends. It's a huge
enemy with a lot of attacks and its called a DIE-RIXEN. It's a fortress on
wheels. When it looks like he is about to move you should get out of the way.
You'll notice that his back has a climbable-looking section but don't climb it
until he is stunned because he will spin and knock up off. It shoots fire and
those ball projectiles too and missiles. Fire its projectiles back at it until
it gets stunned and then it will be safe for you to climb up on it and open
its core with UClaw and then damage it. You can also attack some of the turrets
if you like.

OPERATION 004C - TENTACLE TUSSLE [501]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's your big boss battle with Vijounne. If you thought this was going to be
a really epic fight, well then prepare to be disappointed. If you were hoping
this fight would be comparatively straightforward and short... well then this
is your lucky day! This fight is much shorter and simpler than the other boss
battles. You may get to the end of it and think that what you had just done
was the preamble for a larger fight that doesn't come. That's just my
impression though....

Your giant monster robot opponent this time is called OHDARKO and I guess its
an octopus monster but it doesn't matter because you'll be focusing on
its tentacles for most of the fight. For the first round you will be standing
on the base of a goddess statue as two tentacles attack you from the left and
right. The first thing you need to know about this part is that it is possible
to fall off of this statue if you move too much to the sides. Don't do that.
When the tentacles shoot a pink laser you can reflect it with your USword.
That bleu fire they like to spew at you can be absorbed with your UFist which
then becomes a powerful weapon for fighting back. Always attack these tentacles
when they are within range. The UWhip is always a good choice for attacking
enemies that are hovering just out of reach of your other weapons.

Once those tentacles go down you can use UHammer to move on. Now you'll be on
the Virgin Victory as it skims along the water. This time there will be four
tentacles assailing you and they each have their own special move to contend
with. Usually you can just apply a counter to their move and then kill them
with surprising ease. Oh, and you also have to protect the Virgin Victory from
taking too much damage if you can.

There is an attack I don't believe is blockable and that is the tentacle that
uses a big spiky ball to smash the VV. As far as I know all you can do is get
out of the way and let it smash the ship and then the ball will be stuck and
you'll be able to use your UWhip to peel it open and make it ready to be
attacked.

Other attacks are easier to block? Electric attacks can be absorbed with the
USword. Same with the laser attacks. These can be reflected at other tentacles
you don't like so much. There is one tentacle that uses a gatling gun to
shoot at you and I think you just have to avoid that one.

Sometimes the Virgin Victory will plow into some rocks and you'll be able to
throw these at your enemies. They're not hugely important though. And also
occasionally OHDARKHO will get stunned and you'll receive some GDA forces to
bolster your ranks.

Anyways all you have to do is kill these four tentacles and then you'll be
able to board the octopus and open it up with your UClaw. Then you'll be in
another section where you have to attack the core of the squid while dodging
two other tentacles. I think their attacks can be blocked with the UClaw.
Anyways the core is right there so open it up and then wallop it with your
UHammer or UWhip or UWhatever. This guy goes down pretty quickly and gets
finished off through a bunch of quicktimeevents.

===============================================================================
8. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 005 - MT. OGRETOE: LOST CITY OF LOWRULE [800]
===============================================================================

Onward into adventure! Deep in the primeval jungles of a tropical island there
is an active volcano in which exotic peoples have constructed a massive temple
complex which you must explore before aliens arrive to destroy the shield
generator hidden inside. This level is a big departure from the cityscapes of
the previous levels and there is a bit more exploration and puzzle solving
to be done. It's a whole new world. And then when it seems like the boss battle
is going to be a familiar throwback to a boss you faced back in Operation 001,
things take a real left turn and you find yourself in a self-contained game
of a different genre. It's another wild ride... and it's only the halfway point
for this game. There's still a lot of wackiness to come, but the latter half
of the game is decidedly more serious and dark. I hope your skills are up to
the task.

Speaking of skills, have you bought the 'formation charge' yet? It's really
useful and having powered up team attacks will be a big help for undoing some
of the baddies in this place that are vulnerable to that sort of thing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 005A - 'LOWRULE' IS A PLAY ON THE WORD 'HYRULE' [801]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This level marks the break where things suddenly turn really serious in this
game. That's just my opinion. I know Operation 004b had a dark atmosphere too
but that whole thing with Blue and Vijounne was just too funny. The comedy
from now on is going to be spread out more by more action and exploration.
Expect a lot of long fights ahead. Oh, and you'll also be picking up WONDER
BLACK in this level. He has a special power to slow down time. Unlocking him
also means you can start purchasing the time-related custom blocks in the
wonderful store. It also means that your core team is complete and from now
on you'll be united in your struggle against the alien invaders.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Your crew finds themselves dropped deep in the jungle with no one around for
miles except for lots of tourists and natives. These people aren't calling out
for 'help' like citizens usually do, but go ahead and 'recruit' them anyway.
Run up ahead to find a pullbridge you can use UFist to move. A bunch of pesky
jerks show up and you can either fight or ignore them.

! Geathjerk File No. 22 - on a mushroom just before the bridge.
! Hero Heart Fragment - take those ufo jerk's ship and fly towards the water.

Then you'll be in an area with tall grass that you may want to cut down so
you can see what is happening here when doughgoos and scorpions start showing
up. To advance from this area you need to open the temple door by lighting
your UFist on fire and then bringing that fire over to the torches in front of
the temple.

There are also a lot of secrets around here you can pick up before going
inside. Have a dip in that inviting water for instance.

! Wonder File No. 18 - UHammer a blue mushroom past the water

*** SECRET MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You may have noticed a shiny crack up on the mountainside behind the waterfall.
You cna get up there by climbing with UClaw from near the temple entrance and
then open up a cavern using UHammer. Get through the cave to find some dahkats
to fight and also pick up a bunch of collectibles.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Rock is inside this cave
! Wonderful Figure No. 20 - Wliner where there is a circle of batteries
! Wonderful Figure No. 45 - Wliner another circle of batteries.
! Wonderful Figure No. 77 - In a pink Wcrate.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Inside the temple you'll meet a new enemy called a KOH TUMEEKEY. It's a bunch
of cubes arranged in geometric patterns that can also take the shape of certain
UMorphs to attack you. Basically when it is doing a morph you want to run away
or block, and when it is not you want to attack. If it starts glowing yellow
though its not vulnerable and instead is about to charge at you so just get
out of the way. These guys can be undone easily by team attacks and if you
counter their moves they can break apart and you'll have a very long time to
attack them before they pull themselves together. They can be hard to finally
kill though if one block runs off and gets away so make sure you get them all.
Try to attack the whole mass of broken pieces together with move that cover a
large area, like cyclones or the sword, or just lots and lots of morphs.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now you get to take your babysteps into the new game of 'keep your feet out
of the lava'. The lava will be rising and falling periodically so run when
the tide is low. There are raised safe platforms for you to stand on and near
these platforms are various statues with open mouths just begging to eat your
heroes so you should oblige them by sending your heroes inside.

! Wonderful Figure No. 31 - Wliner from the first safe platform into statue.
! Wonderful Figure No. 87 - Wliner the second giant head in this section

Collect all of the collectibles you want and then run down the pathway until
you reach the end where you're supposed to drop down but instead you should
use UClaw to climb up and get

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Music - on top of the statue

Then drop in on your next fight which is against another kohtumeekey and some
spikey dough goos. Then you can run over to a spiral platform and run up to the
next area.

! Geathjerkfile No. 20 - Use UClaw to climb to the top of the spiral

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

There's a black WCrate and a fiery spiral up ahead. You can ignore those and
turn right to go pick up WONDER BLACK. He is here to save you from two DOORAS
which are these catty aliens that move quickly. I guess the game is saying
that they are vulnerable to UBomb but personally I find the bomb to be slow
to use and these cats easy enough to track and attack without slowing them
down with the UBomb.

After this fight you can run back to that fiery spiral and use the UBomb to
freeze it long enough for you to run through. Or you can go and do a couple
of secret missions.

*** SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Instead of going up that next spiral platform you can run back the way you
came until a secret mission fight pops up. You're going to be fighting a couple
of dragons on a tiny platform and as always they are vulnerable to a good
clawing and when you are prying them open you are invulnerable.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Fruit is up on the spiral platform

*** SECRET MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This secret mission is at the top of that fiery spiral so make sure your
UBomb freezes it nice and good so it doesn't just throw you off as your attempt
to climb it with UClaw. At the top there is a KAHKOO REGAH you can enter to
fight an ANKHO, one of those sword wielding Laambo guys. It's a pretty
straightforward fight. If he blocks, get behind him and kick his backside.

! Wonderful Figures No. 09, 08, 07

***MISSION 008 - GO FORWARD!***

All hell breaks loose when you try to go forward here and you'll have to
scramble to survive. Use your UClaw to climb and make UBridges when needed and
use UWhip to cross a gap and then break a giant rock quickly. Then you'll need
to use UGun to shoot a container of water to get it to spill onto some lava.

! Wonderful File No. 12 - UHammer the circle where the water container was.

Don't waste your time looking for collectibles because the ground is collapsing
under your feet. Run until you get to a circular area with a big hammerable
center and three spots of lava. VORKENN's ship will be hovering around you but
it is easy enough to attack it by hammering the center circle whenever the
ship is about to hover over a lavaspout. It only takes three hits to take out
the ship.

***MISSION 009 - TRIUMPH IN BATTLE!***

Didn't you just fight this guy in the last level? He sure knows how to wear
out a welcome. He's added a lot of moves to his repertoire in that time
though, and he pulls out the easily blocked fists and hammers much less often.
Bad news for you. He also has a UBomb and can use it to create a very big
explosion to entrap you. On the plus side you can use your bomb to slow down
his boomerang move, so that's something. Watch out for Vorkken's many morphs
into enemies like raydowns and dragons and cats. Those can be deadly but
sometimes leave Vorkknn himself alone and vulnerable.

When the fight is over you will UGlide away. If you're really in trouble after
that fight you'll be happy to know that you're still able to heal yourself
during the glider section.

***MISSION 010 - GO FORWARD!***

Immorta shows up to save you yet again and for the next mission you'll be
piloting her ship in a side-scrolling tunnel-digging minigame. In addition
to drilling and dashing you can still use your morphs to clear a path so
basically you'll want to pick a strong one and mash that button and also the
other buttons too. There is lava creeping up on you so choose a path that
goes through the weaker blocks and don't waste time looking for collectibles
off of the beaten path because there aren't any good ones. Every so often
you'll have to stop and morph to open a door so I hope you made good time
beforehand. At the end of the level you'll have to fight an Orochie monster
but its incredibly easy if you just get close to it and spam attacks.

***MISSION 011 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

The level is almost over but before it ends there are two more ANKHOS to deal
with.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 005B - FIRE TEMPLE 2ND FLOOR [802]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're going to be inside the same lava-filled temple for the whole of this
level. Get used to it. There are plenty of puzzles for you to deal with along
the way too. Hopefully with a guide like mine you won't be stuck too long.

***MISSION 001 - SOLVE THE PUZZLE AND MOVE ON!***

When the level starts you can take a detour through a waterfall to get some
recruits and a PCoin

The first puzzle in this involve involves a massive structure you can enter
and three stream of lava that pour over it. It turns out that what you have to
do here is get inside the structure, through a statue's mouth on the far side,
and then find three pillars you can stab your USword into so that you can turn
them and in so doing turn three structures outside and change the flow of lava.
Hopefully you noticed that when going inside the structure that your view
switched to the gamepad screen and that the tv screen displayed the outside of
the building, and hopefully you figured out that you can slow down the fire
obstacles with your UBomb. That is going to be an important skill later in this
level.

After you've solved the puzzle you should move on! The holes that the lava
used to be flowing into can be UHammered to get geathjerkfiles.

! Geathjerk Files No. 23, 24, and 39.

! Hero Heart Fragment - after breaking that rock in your path you can go back
inside the temple to turn far platform and stop the water flow. That will
allow you to climb up the watertrough using UClaw and then you can run over to
some explorers and also a rock you can break to get this Piece of Heart.

! Platinum Coin 2/5 - is just off the path. you'll probably see this

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This time you are fighting a DOORA cat except he's got a new weapon. Just like
Vorkken's boomarang weapon, this one can be avoided easily using a UBomb.
After the Doora goes down you'll have to fight two nasty dragons.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Progress a little ways and you'll get caught up in an annoying fight on a
tilting platform. If the platform ever tilts too far in one direction you will
die, so you'll have to spend a lot of time managing this time and staying far
away from your foes.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This time you're fighting two more of those cubies. They're pretty much the
same as before.

***MISSION 005 - GO FORWARD!***

It looks like both Luka and a gah-goojin are here. Coincidence? I think not.
You'll find yourself on a path through the lava and you're going to want to
be quick here because that giant robot is going to be sending tall waves of
lava your way every so often. If you just run really fast and ignore all of
the stopping points and collectibles you can get to the end of this section
unscathed. If you want all of those collectibles though, you're going to have
to scramble from safe-point to safe point and maybe pull out a few lucky jumps
too. Remember to use your wonderliner to pick up stuff without you having to
touch it yourself.

After this you'll be on a square area and the gahgoojin will try to jump on
you. You'll hopefully notice that there are three tiles on the floor and that
if you stand on them for a little while that huge spikes come out. So what you
have to do is put the spikes and the robot in the same spot. Gahgoojin makes
a shadow when he jumps and follows you around and when he is about to fall his
shadow gets a little bigger. You just have to stand on a spike tile until it
seems like goojin won't follow you anymore and then you run off and he lands
on the spikes. You don't have to get the timing right or anything and it only
takes three hits. No sweat.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This is a really long mission that involves a really annoying puzzle element.
When you finish the last mission a pillar will topple over and you can run
across it to find a wall with a hole where a statue should be. You'll be
bringing a statue back here later on so don't forget about this place.

Turn down the path to find a glowing BLUE SPHERE you're going to have to carry
around to get that statue you need.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Bulb is standing around the blue sphere.

First you need to kill a doughgoo that to get the knob off its back and put
that in place and turn it to make a bridge. Then use your WLiner to have your
guys carry the bluesphere around. You have to lead them through an obstacle
course for the next little while.

The first obstacle to your sphere-carrying guys is some spike traps. Wait until
the moment the spikes go back down to use UBomb on them because that keeps
them underground the longest. Bring your guys across these and then have them
'throw' the sphere when the action command pops up. Make bridges and follow
that sphere to the next area. The next problem you have to deal with are some
sliding fire traps and they can be a huge problem. Keep you and your guys to
one side and then cast UBomb on the fires when they start moving away from you.
Use a big bomb to slow them down longer. The last fire is the fastest and it
can cause all sorts of interference for your wonderliner but with a little
patience and a lot of frustration you should be able to struggle through it
and get the ball back to its home and unlock the statue man. You have to use
your WLiner to recruit this statue guy to your team and lead him back to his
home.

If you are playing on normal mode or higher you can detour here to the KAHKOO
REGAH mission 007, otherwise you'll start your return journey and be attacked
by the giant robot. IMMORTA again shows up to save you but for some reason
Blue tells her to get lost. The ground will have been tilted 90 degrees so
that means you'll have to use UClaw to make your way back to the statue door.
When you get back there, don't immediately go through because you can go back
across that pillar that brought you there the first time to get to secret
mission 008.

***SECRET MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENMIES!***

Before taking the statue back to the door he unlocks, take a moment to light
some torches and unlock a KAHKOO REGAH area. Inside you'll have to fight lots
of scorpions but the only UMorph you have is the UHammer... yikes! There are
weapons hidden all over the stage. I don't really like weapons myself so I
don't practice enough with them to know how to use them properly myself. I hope
you haven't been following my advice really closely or else you'll be in
trouble here (not as much trouble as you would be in if you hadn't followed my
advice to buy an itemfinder, as you will really need that to survive this
fight).

The little mini scorpions will swarm you fight but luckily your hammer can kill
them easily. More little scorpions will show up and you may be thinking 'crap
it's just gonna be endless waves of these little guys until I kill the big
ones' but no, it's just two waves of little scorpions so you should take them
all out so you aren't getting surrounded later. The three big scorpions are
not much affected by your puny UHammer so you need to round up some items to
fight them with. The items are in wierd locations and PStar isn't very helpful
since he is practically always blinking here. Just run around to keep those
scorpions off of your back as you search for itemweapons to fight them with.
The fire breathing dragon head is pretty nice, and so is the one that gives
you fists. When you want to attack the scorpions make sure they have just
missed an attack or they are standing still doing nothing because your attacks
take a little while to start up and you can only survive a couple of hits in
here.

Wonderful Figures No. 66, 85, 109.

*** SECRET MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENMIES!***

When you get back to the statue door take a left over the pillar to get back
to the area where you tricked that goojin into jumping on spikes.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Lunch is here

Then 5 diedoughgoos attack you at once and that seems a little crazy until
you figure out that those three spike tiles are still active and its really
easy to lure your opponents onto them. You can just have them run into the
sides of the spikes and it still causes massive damage.

***MISSION 010 - DEFEAT ALL ENMIES!***

There's just one more enemy left to fight and it is only a bigger version of
the cube enemies. This one is called a TUMEEK and it is pretty much exactly
the same except for the extra health bars. It may take a while but you can
handle this guy in the exact same manner that you handled its junior partners.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 005C - WALLGAHGOOJIN'S PUNCH OUT!! [803]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This level is very different from the rest of the game. You're going to be in
a boxing match with your opponent instead of the usual fighting style. It's
a different style and there's a totally different button layout you'll have
to get used to. It's a fun change of pace though. Definitely a memorable fight.

The first part of the fight though is pretty standard... actually it's a
rehash of a previous fight. You're going to be defending the platform the
goddess statue stands on. Gagoojin is going to be attacking it in pretty much
the same manner that he attack the Blossom City Tower way back in Operation
002C. Like for instance he's going to try and grab the platform and flip it
over and you're going to have to hurry up and stop him. Another attack he has
is to just punch the ground you are on and you're going to have to get under
those attacks and UGuts to prevent the robot from breaking apart your platform.
When you're not blocking his attacks you can attack his face with a long range
weapon using UWhip.

You'll soon be able to open up gahgoojin with UClaw and take control of him.
The next section is for you to practice your robots moves. The game will teach
you about dodging and punching and your special laser.

Your robot has two special meters, a gauge for your special laser weapon that
you will mostly be powering up when your opponent is down. You can fire this
weapon using the 'L' button or the touch button but you can only use it when
your opponent is vulnerable because it takes a lot of time to actually fire.
Your other special is available when you get three PStars and then you can do
an uppercut. Both of these special attacks do super damage and the latter can
KO your opponent but they both take time and are better to do when he's
stunned.

Your regular bout against your opponent, the WALLGAHGOOJIN, will have you
face to face and trading blows. Mostly you want to dodge its blows using the
Z buttons and after your opponent misses it will be vulnerable and you can
pummel it. Your opponent has a number of TELLS for which attacks it will be
using. It won't always display these tells but mostly it will and you'll have
to capitalize on that. It twitches its eye for roundhouse punches and it
twitches its eyebrows for overhand punches. You can dodge in the direction of
the tell and the oncoming horizontal punch but you have to dodge away from
the overhand punches. When its mouth twitches it will use a laser and you
should get out of the way of that. Sometimes your opponent throws kicks and I
think you need to jump over these and sometimes he just throws rocks at you for
you to block or punch them.

If you ever happened to get knocked down you will be 'knocked out' in the
sense that your wonderfulones fall of the robot and you'll have to round them
all up before you can get your robot back on its feet.

Well you have no penalty for getting beat up and dying so just keep the fight
up until you win and then you'll have to go inside your enemy and take down
WALLTHA, another Laambo clone. Then there will be one final escape tunnel.
You just have to avoid some rocks and other attacks and the walls and then
you're free. Good job.

===============================================================================
9. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 006 - GOCKEN ISLAND: LOST CITY OF KOWRULE [900]
===============================================================================

Now it's time for an ice level! You know about ice-levels, right? They're like
other levels except they are blue and white and the ground is slippery and
that can make combat and platforming more difficult.

Apparently Vijounne and her octopus survived your boss battle in Operation 004
and they're going to come back to haunt you. Also this operation is where
you'll finally get some explanation for what Vorkken and Immorta are doing.
And as a bonus you'll also be treated to Will Wedgewood's backstory. Yep, a lot
of stuff is starting to make sense (well... not what Vorkenn is doing).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 006A - HELL HAS FROZEN OVER [901]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This temple is an icy version of that fire temple you went through in the last
operation. That means more puzzles that mostly focus on carrying fire around
with the UFist. When you see a big bunch of frozen ice somewhere take a look
inside and see if its filled with useless things like batteries or people
before you go through the work of finding some fire with which to melt the ice.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

! Wonderful-One - Wonder-Ice-Cream is inside some ice at the beginning.

Your first fight in here is against the KUZZLER and some of those flying
you-houghs. The Kuzzler is that thing WANNA was flying around in a couple of
operations ago. It's not very strong and it is super vulnerable to team
attacks but it does have a couple of annoying moves, including a field that
prevents you from UMorphin.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Move on ahead by building bridges and using your UWhip. There are a lot of
wonderful-people around here to pick up on and around the platforms you were
swinging on.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Ghost - near the second hook you swung on
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Rabbit - with some other people
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Dancer - one of these guys is in a gatcha i think

The path ahead gets destroyed and you'll be introduced to icy water, which is
basically blue lava. Don't touch it. Instead you can use your UClaw to climb
across the wall. Watch out for enemies.

! Geathjerkfile No. 25 - UBomb that toilet looking thing on that island
! Wonderful Figure No. 60 - UHammer the same island

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This is another battle against those cubey tumeekeys. They haven't changed
except for how the icy ground makes it harder for you to run away from their
attacks.

***MISSION 004 - GO FORWARD!***

After the battle you'll be introduced to a different kind of enemy cube. This
time your heroes are trapped inside a box and your screens will split to show
you the inside and the outside of the box and you have to attack the side of
the box that you want to roll forward. Although the colors of the different
sides of the box correspond to your heroes, don't go thinking that you need
to use corresponding morphs. Those colors are just for differentiating the
different sides and you can just use one morph to attack in the direction you
want to go. If you pay attention to the path and you have a good spatial-
relations intelligence then you should have no problem figuring out which
color you need to attack to move forward at any time. Some enemies will show
up but they are no match for your mighty cube. Keep going until you reach the
end of this section.

! Hero Heart Fragment - After you put the box away you can backtrack a little
ways and find a quadrilateral marking on the ground that you can trace with
your WLiner to get a piece of heart.

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now you're in a big room with lots of stuff going on and different places for
you to go to collect things. There is a wonder toilet and near that is a
water canal you can walk through using UHammer and that will get you to a
WCrate and also a hidden item

! Wonderful Figure No. 23 - UBall into the airvent to get to a WCrate.
! Geathjerk File No. 26 - Near the yellow WCrate.

When you go on ahead you're going to be fighting a new enemy, the GIANT ENEMY
CRAB. His weakpoint is on his back but you won't be able to reach it for a
while because he is just too giant. You can attack its face and legs a bit
but it won't do much damage and also the crab can bite you or blow bubbles or
shoot lasers. Eventually its legs will straighten out and you can slash them
with the USword to break them and make the crab fall and then you can hop on
top of it and open its back with the UClaw and then attack for real. This may
take a few long rounds.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

There is a secret area down and to the right of the crab-fighting area. Look
for a break in the wall and from there extend a WLiner offscreen until a bridge
forms. It will take you to a previously unseen platform and from there you can
also extend a WLiner down and to the left to find another secret platform and
that one will have a KAHKOO REGAH jerkcircle.

! Wonderful One - Wonder Pixie is also on these secret platforms
! Wonderful Figure No. 24 - rebuild a statue down here to get this

In this mission you have to fight a DOORA and some flying jerks within three
minutes. And sure you have very limited health but... come on... it's just a
dooracat it should be no problem. Team attack it, bomb it, whip it, hammer it,
etcetera. It's pretty easy.

! Wonderful Figures No. 69, 95, and 103, depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Moving on from the crab area you'll reach another battleground. This time
you're fighting two orgons... and not even at the same time.

! geathjerkfile No. 40 - UHammer center of orgon fight pit.

***SECRET MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After you defeat the orgons you can go back a little ways and get into a secret
fight against a big tumeekey. After you defeat him a chewdoughgoo shows up and
it has a knob on its back that you can place nearby to open up a door leading
to:

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Treasure - in a cave. Also there is a WDummy.

***MISSION 009 - GO FOWARD!***

VJ and her octopus are back and chasing after you. You have to run away. Smash
the tentacles out of your way if they block the path. There is no time to save
the citizens so just ignore them.

! Wonderful One - Wonder-Dynamite - is one of the people needing help here.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This level is certainly a strange one. All sorts of stuff is going on here to
take you away from ordinary gameplay. For some reason the first mission takes
place 20 years ago and has you playing as the old Wonder Red, aka young
Commander Nelson. Being in the past and all means that you have another
opportunity to fight LAAMBO! Lucky you. Oh, and you get to fight VIJOUNNE
again... sort of. And there's a really strange and lengthy vehicular section
to this level... and then things are more or less ordinary for a while until
IMMORTA joins your party and starts psyching you up for your upcoming final
battle with PRINCE VORKKEN. Yep, this is a real dense level.

***MISSION 001 - GO FORWARD!***

At the end of the last level, Blue was dropped into the sea and the Virgin
Victory had to go bail him out. The first mission in this level consists of
Commander Nelson relating to Blue a story about his days as the old Wonder Red,
and Will Wedgewood's origin story. The moral of the story for Blue is that he
is not the only one who lost someone he cared about in the Earth Defense Wars
(duh). The importance of this story for the player is that it gives an insight
into the current dynamic between Wonder Red and Luka.

In this mission you'll be playing as WONDER-RED (EMERITUS) and instead of UFist
you have UNITE DRILL, which is actually a really good attack. Unfortunately you
have no allies and thus you can't use it. You'll have to rely on your basic
attacks to deal with the foes you encounter here.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Laambo is back... in the past! He fights just like the... um... whatever
they're called. Those aliens that fight like laambo. He fights like them.
Anyways you can't do much damage to him alone, but just give it a shot and
eventually Laambo will drop and item called an ENEMY CONTROLLER (it might be
called something else) and when you touch it all of the doughgoos in the area
will become your slave/allies and you can use your UDrill. UDrill is great for
combos and locking Laambo in place as you do a lot of damage. Just get in
behind his blocks and drill away. Oh, and you also have UGuts to block his
kicks, and UDodge to maneuver around him. And as you do more and more damage
Laambo will drop more and more controllers and you'll get more and more allies.
So just keep drilling away until Laambo gives up.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

Back in the present, Blue reunites with the Wonderful 100 and then you get to
control the Virgin Victory through a shoot-em-up-esqe level. Oh, and Immorta
is helping you too in a gahgoojin robot and when you shoot she will shoot too.
You have a couple of means of attacking in this section. You can use basic
versions of all of your morphs, but you will also want to be spamming Virgin
Victory attacks through the 'x' button. There are two types of attacks you
can use here, a bullet-shooter or a laser. The laser is stronger but it has to
recharge between shots and it works sort of different. How you change between
these weapons is that you find these items in the stage that are like red or
blue boxes. The red ones give you bullets (or upgrade your bullet weapon if
you already have one) and the blue ones give you lasers (or upgrade your laser
if you already have one). At the start of the level you can try one weapon and
then switch and try out the other one, but then you should pick one and only
collect the boxes that power it up. There are a lot of enemies up ahead and
the best way to keep them from shooting you to death is for you to kill them
first. You have UGuts and UDodge but in this instance offense is the best
defense.

So with that explanation of your weapons and whatnot out of the way, here is
the basic description of this mission. You will be moving the Virgin Victory
up a slowly progressing path and you are going to be constrained by the camera.
Enemies will be either static or pouring in and they can easily overwhelm you
if you don't clear them out. Some of their attacks can do damage over time so
make sure you don't stand in front of some laser or something. Also there are
multiple environmental hazards like walls, currents, pillars, and weights. If
you don't move around a wall or pillar by the time the camera catches up to
you then you will be squished to death. Don't be floating above pillars when
they pop up either because that is bad. There are a couple of places where you
have to use UMorphs to break barriers or open doors to progress, and there are
a couple of small mazes for you to navigate through. Don't forget that you can
remove spiky obstacles with UWhip because that totally comes up at one point.
Oh, and that confusing spiny room that is going too fast for you to get into?
You've got to use UBomb on that to slow it down. I know that sounds like basic
stuff for this game but since this mission is so different from the other ones
it can be easy to forget that the rules still apply here. Oh, and there are a
couple of big batteries you can pick up by performing a UDodge without moving
sideways so that it does a loop. That will be helpful.

There are a couple of big boss-ish monsters to fight here. The first is a
KAIZOR wormsnake thing that only takes a couple of hits to kill and doesn't
seem like a big deal, but trust me when I say that you should stay away from
him if his body starts glowing blue. And at the end of the level is the OHDARKO
octopus which I thought was already killed but maybe I am not remembering
things right. You just have to get beside it and smash away with your UMorphs.
Don't stand in front of it when it uses lasers or electricity unless you have
a sword. It's tentacles are its primary method of attack so don't be in front
of it.

So now Vijounne is dead for real I think and Blue gets what is coming to him.
Make sure you make a big UFist for when you beat on Blue.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Now Immorta is on your team and you can start using her UBow or just forget
about it entirely. Your immediate concern right now is some tricky platforming
above some insta-death ice, and dealing with a pesky hoedown who is going to
be shooting at you from offscreen like a true jerk. What you may not realize
as you go into the icewater area is that the first platform you are on is
bobbing in and out of the water and you're going to want to wait for it to
come out a bit so you can get to the edge and make the doublejump to the next
platform and from there go on to smack down that hoe. There are also some
youhoughs around for you to shoot at. After you take care of all of these
enemies you will have plenty of opportunity to hop back and forth across these
islands to look for secrets.

! Geathjerk File No. 27 - in a green WCrate in the upper icewater area
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Yeti - in a gatcha past the green WCrate.

***SECRET MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***
BUT YOU CAN ONLY USE A LIMITED NUMBER OF UNITE MORPHS!

That's the actual subtitle for this mission. To get here you have to go a
little ways past the icewater and pick up some fire with your UFist. Then you
have to carry that back across the icy islands and light four torches at the
start of the level. A KAHKOO REGAH opens up and then you'll discover that you
have only 10 unite morphs with which to kill 2 dragons. Luckily for you, you
only need to use those morphs to open up the Wonder Crates around the level
which are full of items to kill these guys. Well... except that items make you
really slow and the dragons will totally beat you up as you hold them. Try to
be running when you pick up items. Also you should save a couple of your
morph allotment for using UGuts if those dragons should ever take to the air.
I don't think they ever really bunker down and require UClaw to open but if
they do you should either do it or drop your item (by hitting your left
thumbstick left and right) and run or go use UClaw. The items in the boxes
sort of correspond to what you use to open them, so you could for instance use
UGun to pick up a gun item and that will at least allow you to do some damage
without getting in the dragons' firing ranges. But hey, just use whatever
works for you.

! Wonderful Figures No. 56, 17, and 104.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

In the next section you'll have to pull some torches onto switches in order to
lower some spikes and allow you to progress. moving the torches to the upper
left set of switches opens up some secrets. Moving them to the right is what
you have to do to progress and climb to the next area using UClaw.

! Wonderful one - Wonder-Goddess - take the path to the left
! Wonderful File No. 16 - also in the secret area on the left
! Hero Heart Fragment - trace out the trapezoid on the ground over there.

At the top of the wall you'll be fighting a cat and two dragons and then
you'll have to use UWhip to pull down a spikey wall.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This is another one of those fights against two diedoughgoods on a tilty
platform. Maybe UBow is supposed to be for this? I don't know, I just stuck
with UWhip.

***MISSION 008 - DEFEAT THE ENEMY AND MOVE ON!***

This mission is mostly for Immorta to talk about her past with Vorkken. You
can tell the action onscreen isn't important because it is obscured by her
portrait and dialogue box and also some artwork relating to what she's talking
about. Nevertheless there are a few secret things for you to pick up here,
including:

! Geathjerk File No. 28 - Wliner a statue
! Wonderful File No. 20 - WLiner trace a circular floor area
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Santa - there is a piece of ice against the wall that
is blocking the entrance to Santa's cave.

At the end of this section is a fight against spiky enemies.

***MISSION 009 - GO FORWARD!***

Your only enemy this time is the wind. It is blowing periodically and all you
have to do is advance a little ways in the safe periods and then use UFist to
hold onto these convenient bars until the wind dies down again. Unfortunately
there is a really thickheaded wonderful-one who decided to stand in the middle
of all of this and make himself a real pain to recruit.

! Wonderful Figure No. 83 - UHammer right at the start of the windy place.
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Witch - standing on a ledge in the windy place.

Mission 006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 006C - VORKKEN'S LAST STAND [903]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead of fighting a new boss here you're going to be having one more bout
with PRINCE VORKKEN. It's an awful lot like your other fights against him
except he has a few more moves and probably more health. He uses Unite
Tombstone a lot this time, too, but since he has to jump to use it you can see
it coming easily. Oh, and now when he uses UGuts he comes out of that with a
sword cyclone, and that's not nearly as bad as some of his earlier counters.

This fight has a second round aboard the Virgin Victory and that fight is real
hard because it is such a narrow field and there is no room to dodge if
Vorkken ever pulls out his Laambo morph or anything like that. Also I noticed
that after he used a morph that he would frequently follow it up with a skill
from that same morph, so that UFist is followed by UFist rising, or Uhammer
by UHammer stinger. Actually this is quite useful for blocking these attacks
if you missed the first one.

It's just another Vorkken fight so it's nothing new and if you just keep at it
for a while eventually he'll go down. Wonder Red and Immorta will try to talk
some sense into Vorkken and just when it seems like they are about to make a
breakthrough he is suddenly blasted by lasers from the sky. The next boss
shows up but instead of fighting him now he'll leave with Luka and the key to
your defence network. I guess all of that time you spent securing the super
reactors was just a big waste of time. Oh well.

===============================================================================
10. WLKTHRU - OPERATION 007 - THE ALIEN VORKKEN OHGEE'S INTERNAL ORGANS [1000]
===============================================================================

What the heck? An operation with only two parts? What's up with that? Did the
developers run out of new things to include and decide they didn't want to
pad the game out unnecessarily? Yes.

Operations 007 and 008 don't introduce anything new in terms of enemies. You
do get one more UMorph but only temporarily and it is mainly useful for a
a couple of platforming sections and the boss fight. Oh, I guess the boss
fight in this operation is sort of unique, but it is also pretty easy and
quick. These two operations are really filler for the story (a reversal from
the preceding state) which is starting to get serious and dire to set up a
spectacular finale.

So what is happening in the story at this point? Well it seems that the
defense of Blossom City has been compromised, but instead of addressing that
problem or evacuating the civilians, the W100 are going to shrink themselves
so they can fight a nanobioweapon inside one of their defeated adversaries.
Nothing wrong with that plan at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 007A - BLOODSTREAM BOP [1001]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This level has an intracellular atmosphere that to squeamish people like
myself seems icky. Unfortunately for us this level is also quite long and has
a couple of stumbling blocks to impede progress, but we can get through it if
we work together! The power of teamwork is the strongest force in the universe
and it is the source of power for the W100, which is why it is so unfortunate
that you only have 10 guys at the start of this mission.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Take your ten heroes and head into battle against some doughgoos. Do yourself
a huge favor and recruit some of your enemies as they are dying. You will get
reinforcements after mission 005, but having more guys in the interim is
going to make things infinitely easier.

! Wonderful figure No. 42 is in the center of the first battleground.

***MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Do some more platforming and use USword to remove tentacles from your path.
Your next fight is against two orgons and I hope you brought more than ten
guys. After that you can use UClaw to climb on that wall-ish thing, or you can
look around it for collectibles.

! Geathjerkfile No. 29 - WLiner some 'flowers'
! Wonderful figure No. 98 - in the toilet but you need more guys
! Hero Heart Fragment - Bring lots of guys and make a bridge to the right

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Climb across the wall and watch out for missiles. Then you have to fight some
hoedowns and again if you didn't recruit guys then youre gonna have a bad time.

! Wonderful file Nov 15 - send WLiner down a hole after the wall
! Wonderful figure No. 92 - WLiner circle this platform

*** SECRET MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You have to go back to the start of the level for this kahkoo regah mission.
It makes you fight some tumkees and it has you following your itemfinder to
dig up enemy controllers to steal followers from doughgoos. Not a very
difficult mission.

! Wonderful figures Nos. 25, 57, 102

***MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Okay so after mission 003 or 004 or whatever you just have to keep following
the path forward. There's a WCrate on the path with a WFigure inside.

! Wonderful Figure No. 46

Your battle this time is against one of those spikey jerks and also some of
those small flying guys. Kill the little ones first and then try to keep
enough guys together for UWhip.

After this fight the Guyzoch guy CHEWGIE shows up and gives you a new move and
100 guys. So that's good. You have to use UNaginata to advance through the
sections with the missiles. Naginata works by pressing 'a' repeatedly to keep
it protecting you and also if you are in the air it pulls you forward a little
bit.

! Geathjerkfile No. 37 - WLiner around one of the platforms.
! Geathjerkfile No. 38 - In a WToilet

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This fight is against one or two Gurry Doorah and they are indistinguishable
from other doorahs. After that there is a waterspout and by now you should
know that means you can use UBall to get a cool item.

! Hero heart fragment - use UBall in the spout

When you go up the water the normal way it can be very difficult to progress.
Maybe it was just me but I had the had the hardest time advancing here because
a platform I think was supposed to be moving wasn't. I had to use UNaginata
to hover over and it wasn't easy. Anyways after that is a UWhip hook that
disappears if you get close so you have to make a 100 man whip and use it from
the edge of its range. The platform will be pulled over to you and you can
UHammer it to move it back.

! Wonderful figure No. 62 - in a WToilet

! Geathjerk file No. 49 - use WLiner to grab this out of the air

***SECRET MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

If you turn around now and go back to the mission 006 battleground you can
fight a nyerk.

***MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This next battle is against a diedoughgoo. If youre wondering why youre getting
shot all of the time, it's because there is also a cannon in the air north of
the battlefield. Why does Vorkenn have a cannon inside his body? After those
are dead some cats will attack you.

! Wonderful figure No. 21 - UHammer the center of this platform
! Wonderful figure No. 18 - send a WLiner up from the little wall on the upper
right side of this platform.

To advance from here you have to use UGun and be quick about it.

***MISSION 009 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

The next fight is against two megangs and then a sword guy.

! Geathjerkfile no. 30 - WLiner around this platform

Then there are these horrible spinning platforms that you'll want to slow down
with UBomb.

! Geathjerkfile no. 50 - is on one of those awful spinning platforms

***MISSION 010 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

The last fight is against a nyerk and a crab. No big deal.

! Wonderfulfile No. 24 - send a WLiner right of this battlefield

OPERATION 007B - PSTAR-FOX [1002]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your enemy this time around is a parasite called VAAIKI and you're going to be
riding on PStar. PStar controls pretty straightforwardly. He has a standard
shot and also missiles and you pretty much just need to keep Vaaiki in your
sights and spam the attack buttons. Sometimes you'll get in close and you'll
have to use your UMorphs to attack. UGuts will keep you safe from claw attacks
but for everything else UNaginata is the way to go. Spam that thing whenever
projectiles come your way.

This boss is real quick and easy and the last few sections aren't even serious
fights. You literally kill this boss by returning to your normal size in a
cutscene and then stomping on it with your foot.

So that was pretty easy and fun, but things abruptly take a turn for the worse
as the Geathjerk break through the planetary defense system and vaporize
Blossom City. Millions of people are dead and the earth is open to invasion,
and its all Luka's fault. What a jerk.

===============================================================================
11. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 008 - BLOSSOM CITY: STATE OF EMERGENCY [1100]
===============================================================================

Luka has given the aliens the codes to Earth's defenses and so allowed them
to attack Blossom City and the super-computer that controls the Centinel's
weapons: MOTHER PLATINUM. You've got to run through the crumbling ruins of your
hometown and stop the geathjerk before it's too late! While you're there you
might also want to help some of the survivors escape from the fallout of the
doom that Luka has brought down upon them. Damn, that Luka will have a lot to
answer for when you catch up with him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 008A - LUKA HAS KILLED MILLIONS [1101]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This first fight is just against a doughgoon and a kuzzler so its no big deal.
There is a wall to UClimb that is kind of tricky to navigate from one section
to the next.

!Wonderful One - Wonder-Yang - is standing around here

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This fight is against a couple of tumkees.

***MISSION 004 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Next you'll be back at the school and have to fight some orgons before picking
up some items. There's a curved section of the school to your left of the
entrance where you can send a WLiner up.

! Wonderful file No. 25 - WLiner the circle
! Geathjerkfile No. 51 - in a red crate above the school
! Heroheart fragment - use URocket on top of the red crate
! Wonderful figure no. 58 - in a blue WCrate near the school
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Tombstone - near the school

***SECRET MISSION 005 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After mission 004 you can run back a ways until you trigger a secret fight
against two dahkats.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After the school you run right and hop onto this spinning tube and run across
it. After that you'll fight just one cat enemy.

***MISSION 007 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Your foe this time is one of those giant crabs.

! Geathjerkfile No. 41 - trace a pattern
! Wonder figure No. 91 - this is inside a black WCrate
! Geathjerkfile No. 32 - this is inside a WToilet
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Motorbike - standing around this area

***SECRET MISSION 008 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

If you run back to the school after mission 007 you will find this level's
kahkoo regah. You have 2 minutes to kill 2 cats and that's not so bad if you
just freeze them with UBomb.

! Wonderful figures Nos. 76, 48, 101 depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 009 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

OPERATION 008B - DOOMED HOMECOMING [1102]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you remember operation 002B, the one inside the Blossom City amusement park?
Remember the fun you had riding the waterslide and the ferris wheel and seeing
the smiling faces of all the little children? Well, the ferris wheel is still
okay, but the children are all dead. All of them.

***MISSION 001 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

You have to bomb the ferris wheel to ride it, but before you do that there is
a lot of stuff around to pick up.

! Wonderful Ones - Wonder-Clown and Wonder-Zombie - theyre around here
! Geathjerkfile No. 47 - use WLiner on a building

After your ride you'll be back in that stadium from long ago and this time its
a vehicular turret section. Use WLiner to make the turrets and then youll be
doing the two-screen tango. You will be aiming with the 'lower' screen and
driving with the 'upper'. It's super hard imo but dodging attacks is not super
important I just ignored the one screen.

***SECRET MISSION 002 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

This kahkoo regah is easy to find as you are progressing. There is a wall you
have to UClimb and if you go to the top instead of going right you will find
this mission. Inside you'll be fighting just one spider enemy and there are
lots of citizens to recruit for some reason. This mission is rated 'super easy'
on Steve's difficulty scale.

! Wonderful figures Nos. 65, 63, 116, depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

After the UClimb wall there will be a fight against two turtles and a dragon.
Then you'll get a cog and turn on a waterspout and that means you should use
UBall to see if there is a secret item.

! Hero Heart Fragment - its this.
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Fixit - is just standing around here.

***MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

OPERATION 008C - MECHA MELEE [1103]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You've finally caught up with Gimme and Luka and it's time to make them pay.
Gimme is a big guy with a big ship and so your first battle against him is
going to be a Virgin Victory mission that plays out like the pursuit of
orochi way back in operation 001c. All you really need to remember from that
is that you use UFist to grab and use the steering wheel. You have to shoot the
pink engines of your opponent's ship and they will go out as they are damaged.
After all of the engines are destroyed press 'b' to ram. Then you'll fight
some goons and jerks to get cogs and open doors. The most important thing about
this section is that it exposes Luka's backstory, as if any amount of
exposition at this point could make up for the innocent people he's killed.
Damn him! Damn him for all of eternity!

For some reason no one on your team blames Luka for what he has done and
instead they just tell him that his mother wouldn't have wanted this and also
she programmed herself into the MOTHER PLATINUM SUPERCOMPUTER and the PLATINUM
ROBO. Huh? Anyways, now you're in a robot and thrown into another punchout
bout without any warmup time to remember the controls.

This GIGA GOOJIN opponent still has the basic structure of the previous boxing
fight, including the blinking eyes as tells for what punches he is going to
throw. Unfortunately this guy fights dirty and doesnt use basic attacks nearly
so often. He's a lot more into sweep kicks and flashing light in your face.
Sometimes he throws robots at you or even summons dragons to shoot fireballs.
Its quite bizarre and you'll be doing a lot more dodging and a lot less
fighting this time around.

Eventually he'll go down and Wonder-Red will bore Gimme to death with a
tiresome speech. The operation ends on the eerie note of Mother Platinum
being destroyed and all hope being lost.

12. WALKTHROUGH - OPERATION 009 - EXOATMOSPHERE [1200]
===============================================================================

Alright, this is the end. The climax. The final level and the ulimate boss
fight. Everything about this game is about to be turned up to 11 for this last
hurrah. If you thought this game was an insane spectacle before, just wait
until you see it trying to top itself. Your enemies are going to be pulling
out 'ultimate form' after 'ultimate form' and your heroes are going to be
digging deep to pull out ever more outrageous special attacks. It is going to
be epic. It is going to be cosmic. It is going to be long. Seriously, you
should set aside a few hours for this final level. Ready some provisions
beforehand and get yourself mentally prepared to be awed, and then sit back
and enjoy the ride.

So, the story right now is at its darkest hour. There's a massive enemy fleet
bearing down on Earth and the controls to the SHIROGANE COMET are lost. Worst
of all the traitor to humanity Luka is not going to face justice for his
crimes. As his mother has become a giant robot and only he can communicate
with it, Earth's last hope rests with this him. The Wonderful 100 follow Luka
into Platinum Robo and try to help this young boy save Earth and become a
legend.

That's the set-up. There's not too many collectibles to look out for here,
though there are still kahkoo-regah secret missions. You might as well buy
anything you want from the store. This is a long operation so you should be
prepared, though you should also note that you're going to be a robot for most
of this and the healing foods don't work on robots.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPERATION 009A - MECHANIZED MASSACRE [1201]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This isn't the part I meant when I said this was a long operation. It's mostly
a vehicular shooter part with a generous number of cutscenes. There is also
nearly nothing to collect here so don't worry too much about that.

***MISSION 001 - REACH THE SHIROGANE COMET!***

You're the Platinum Robo and you have a new moveset. You have a regular 'fire'
button but you also have another 'homing' weapon that you can aim with the
right stick so you can target enemies without being right in front of them.
That will be important later so try not to forget about it. Also you have a
high power laser that requires three Platinum stars to powerup. Stars come
out of gold enemies and when you get three your HUD will merge them together
to make it hard for you to see how many you have at a glance. If you are on
the ball about shooting gold enemies then feel free to use the high powered
laser liberally, otherwise just save it for the GUNCHEW at the end of this
mission and the orochi dragon at the end of mission 002.

Eventually you'll land on a UFO and have a regular fight with some doora and
megang. The ground here needs to be broken with UHammer but be careful not to
accidentally break it during battle and fall to death. Also there are hidden
items to collect on these breakable platforms.

! Wonderful figure No. 88 - UHammer
! Geathjerkfile No. 43

Then youll be back in platinum robo doing the robot thing. A space worm will
attack you and then a wierd thing called a gunchew. My advice is for you to
shoot them with your weapons until they die.

***MISSION 002 - REACH THE TRIGGER DEVICE!***

This time it's a side-ish scrolling section like that one mission back in
operation 006, except it's not half as long.

***MISSION 003 - DESTROY THE TARGETS!***

This is a pretty straightforward (and fun) mission where you use the shirogane
comet as a gun to destroy the enemy fleet. You just have to point the weapon
and let it work its magic. The screen will scroll a little bit when you press
to the side and there are a couple of enemy ships there trying to hide just
outside your field of vision.

After you clear the space you will prematurely throw the Shirogane Comet away.

OPERATION 009B - THROW YOURSELF AT THE ENEMY [1202]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh snap. The enemy ripped space wide open and brought out another fleet of
ships and also a deathstar for good measure. Without the Shirogane Comet,
the Wonderful 100 are going to have to regroup and come up with a new plan
to take on such an overwhelming force... wait... they're just going to
suicidally hurl their one robot and one ship at the enemy fleet? Well... good
luck with that.

***MISSION 001 - REACH GEATH-WAHKSAY!***

This part has the same controls as the last level. It's pretty straightforward,
literally. At the end three enemy robos show up.

***MISSION 002 - GO FORWARD!***

The mission objective here is actually a deception. This is the mission where
you can double back and pick up lots of collectibles and find a kahkoo-regah.
First though you have to advance through a couple of battles and cutscenes.
You have to kill all of the enemies and have them join your side to make
UFists strong enough to break the progressively hardier barriers ahead of you.
When you get to the end of this section, which I believe is after the second
set of spiders, you can turn around and run back though this level to find lots
of WCrates and a kahkoo-regah.

! Geathjerkfile No. 35 - trace a floor pattern

*** SECRET MISSION 003 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Oh man this time you have to fight one of those huge wheeled fortresses in a
tiny room and you only get 5hp. Use UGun to destroy the 4 turrets, then UClaw
the core, then rinse and repeat.

! WFigures Nos. 100, 93, 118, depending on the difficulty.

***MISSION 004 - REACH GEATH-WAHKSAY!***

You have to sacrifice your teammates to get through this mission. Good
riddance! Eventually you even have to abandon Platinum Robo and you'll resort
to flying through space on your UGlider. It's pretty sad and by all rights
should be the end of the Wonderful 100, but then Chewgi will show up and save
the day with his UNaginata (which works a bit differently here get used to it).
And then Vorkken will join you too and you can just fly his UBoomarang through
robofoes but not lasers.

***MISSION 005 - DESTROY THE SHIELD DEVICE!***

Now you're fighting three laser spewing enemies but if you stay on the low
ground and only engage one at a time you should have no trouble. After killing
two of them take out your UHammer and attend to the beckons of your itemfinder
because once the third guy dies the ground will fall out.

! WFigures Nos. 33 and 14
! WFile No. 22
! Wonderful One - Wonder-Astronaut

When you drop down don't go right at all because that will end the level.

! WFigure No. 81 - use WLiner to reach this in the air

*** SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES!***

Trace the complicated pattern in the final area to open another kahkoo-regah.
Then you'll only get a minute to kill 100 goons! Hop to it!

OPERATION 009C - JERGINGHA THE MACHINE WORLD [1203]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Multi-stage boss fight!

! Geathjerk file No. 34 - there's only one real collectible here and you get
it by jumping off the starting platform in such a way that it spawns a White
Wonder Box.

It's just you and the final boss now. The machine world Jergingha, supreme
overlord of the geathjerk, challenges you to a fight. The first part of the
battle is easy enough if you kill the tentacles as they respawn and dont let
them attack you. Your aim here is to destroy the blue orbs around jergie's
jar. Once you smash one of those you'll have to run to the back of the room
and use UClaw to reveal a dial that you then have to turn with UFist to rotate
a new orb out. You'll have to repeat this process like 8 times or so while
also killing tentacles.

When thats done the perspective will switch and Jergie will be trying to shoot
you with lasers even though you have a laser reflecting sword. He'll give up
on that soon enough and treat you to some exposition and also a heroheartpiece.
What a nice gesture.

The next phase of the fight is the 'floating head and two hands' part that you
are probably familiar with. Jergie is using UMorphs of his own now and you can
probably figure out which of your attacks can reflect his different moves.
You can UGuts his regular punches but not the big punches with the red target.
When he uses UClaw you can get close to the hole he tears and open it with
your own UClaw. Your USword reflects his purple laser but not his red one. He
uses a spikey mace that you can UWhip and throw back at him. You know how this
stuff works by now, surely.

After another cutscene and quicktime event Jergie will be defeated and you'll
fly the Virgin Victory out of his body. There's an annoying bit where you have
to control two ships at once but thankfully its very brief.

It turns out that Jergingha is not quite dead. Now you're back in Platinum
Robo and you're standing on a wierd surface with barriers between you and
Jergie. You have to defeat and recruit all the robots here to get enough guys
to power up your UMorphs to barrier breaking levels. You need every baddy
available on your side and in your morph to make it strong enough to break the
barrier.

After some more qtes you will be able to start punching the enemy robot
directly. He has orbs on his arms and legs that you hit to damage him. You have
to be in close or attacking from the side to actually hit him. Use UGuts to
block his attacks. When the other orbs are destroyed his final weakpoint will
be revealed on his face. Destroy that and then pull out some super UMorphs
like UPlatinum to kill that jerk once and for all.

After pressing 'a' a thousand times, the Earth will be saved and the ending
will play. Congratulation, you're winner!

===============================================================================
13. WALKTHROUGH - EPILOGUE [1300]
===============================================================================

So you beat the game and saw all the characters fly off into the sunset...
but instead of seeing the ending credits and unlocking the gallery and/or the
next difficulty level... you have the play through the first level with Luka,
aka WONDER GOGGLES.

Do you remember the prologue, the one where Will Wedgewood was on a trainbus
that was attacked by aliens? This is the exact same level, except that now
you have access to the hard-to-draw UGoggles attack. There are also a couple
of hidden items in spots similar to where things were hidden in the prologue.
Do you remember where the kahkoo-regah was, in mission 005 where you had to
use UHammer on a hatch to get inside a different section of the bus? There's a
kahkoo-regah in that same spot this time, too.

***SECRET MISSION 006 - DEFEAT ALL ENEMIES***
Do you like punch out?

After you get to the school the credits will start to roll, but they are super
wierd credits that have you playing short and easy versions of some of your
earlier battles. There are like 10 of these extra credit fights, and yes, you
will be graded on your performance.

14. BOTTLECAPS/SECRET CHARACTERS [1400]
===============================================================================

Bottlecaps are like ACHIEVEMENTS or TROPHIES. There are 101 bottlecaps in this
game for you to collect if you want. You'll get a couple of them from just
playing through the STORY MODE and knocking off BOSSES. The rest of them are
for more esoteric accomplishments which I will be listing below. In the
bottlecap section of the game's menu you will notice that they are grouped
together and that completing each of these groups unlocks a different secret
character/morph. All of the characters have some really hard and involved
unlocking requirements so they will probably all require several playthroughs
to be unlocked. Some of these characters are also made available over the
course of the campaign, but if you unlock them here you can use them anytime.

These are unlockable secrets that require multiple playthroughs, so...
