The higher the level, the more Metal it will produce. Consequently, it will require more energy. Metal is one of the most valuable resources in terms of building useful things, make sure you have the mine as high as you can. You will need it. Theoretical maximum level: 36~ ================================================================================ [C][r][y][s][t][a][l] [M][i][n][e] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 48, Crystal - 24 Base time: 1 minute, 43 seconds Growth factor: 1.5 Description: This building will give you crystal if you have the energy to power it. Crystal is very important for ship building and resources and in the later game will be one of the best resources to have. It requires energy also. You will need this very high on your colonies as well. Theoretical maximum level: 31~ ================================================================================ [D][e][u][t][e][r][i][u][m] [S][y][n][t][h][e][s][i][z][e][r] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 225, Crystal - 75 Base time: 7 minutes, 12 seconds Growth factor: 1.5 Description: This building will give you deuterium in exchange for energy. Unlike the other buildings, it needs a lot more energy per level, at higher levels it will consume more than 1,000 energy! But don't be alarmed, this is because of deuteriums versatility. It can just about always be traded, and is the fuel for your ships. It is also used to pay for many important researches and a few other ships and buildings. Theoretical maximum level: 32~ ================================================================================ [S][o][l][a][r] [P][l][a][n][t] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 75, Crystal - 30 Base time: 2 minutes, 31 seconds Growth factor: 1.5 Description: This building will give you energy! Yes, energy, the un-credited lifeblood of OGame. Without it, you would be living off the 20 metal and 10 crystal per planet provided free. It will give energy for no requirements, and is vital to power your mines (and synthesizers). In the early game, you will rely on this building being high enough to power your mines, in the later game, you will mostly rely on Solar Satellites. Theoretical maximum level: 34~ ================================================================================ [F][u][s][i][o][n] [R][e][a][c][t][o][r] Requirements: -Deuterium Synthesizer (5) -Energy Technology (3) -Research Lab (1) Base cost: Metal - 900, Crystal - 360, Deuterium - 180 Base time: 30 minutes, 14 seconds Growth factor: 1.8 Description: This building gives you power in exchange for your hard-earned deuterium (taken from your hourly income). Some players like to buy it and use it early on, others like to skip it completely. In the long-run, it is a waste of deuterium, and Solar Satellites are much more economical. Theoretical maximum level: 20~ ================================================================================ [R][o][b][o][t][i][c][s] [F][a][c][t][o][r][y] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 400, Crystal - 120, Deuterium - 200 Base time: 12 minutes, 28 seconds Growth factor: 2 Description: This building cuts the time taken to build other buildings by a factor of it's level. The time for a building to build (excluding nanites) is: [building time] * (1 / [robotic factory level] + 1) It is a very useful building, get this to 10 quite soon. That will make your buildings 1/11th of base value. Theoretical maximum level: 18~ (Waste of fields past 10) ================================================================================ [N][a][n][i][t][e] [F][a][c][t][o][r][y] Requirements: -Robotics Factory (10) -Computer Technology (10) -Research Lab (1) Base cost: Metal - 1 000 000, Crystal - 500 000, Deuterium - 100 000 Base time: 25 days Growth factor: 2 Description: This building cuts the build time of other buildings AND ships AND defense by a half each level! It's amazing! Get this as high as you can as soon as you can. It's extremely helpful. What is interesting, is that the build time of the nanite factory will remain unchanged no matter what level as the 1/2 build time cancels the 2x build time next level, as long as the Robotics Factory stays constant. Theoretical maximum level: 7~ ================================================================================ [S][h][i][p][y][a][r][d] Requirements: -Robotics Factory (2) Base cost: Metal - 400, Crystal - 200, Deuterium - 100 Base time: 14 minutes, 24 seconds Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to build ships. It is very useful, get this quite high quite soon to allow you to build most of the ships and defenses possible. The time taken to build a ship is also decreased the more you build this (ignoring nanites). [building time] * (1 / [shipyard level] + 1) Theoretical maximum level: 18~ (Nanite is more useful past 12 and a better use of fields) ================================================================================ [M][e][t][a][l] [S][t][o][r][a][g][e] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 2 000 Base time: 48 minutes Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to keep producing metal until the cap is reached. This is a number of metal, where your mines no longer have a place to put the metal, so production stops until you have space. However you may still collect over this with ship transporting. The only real benefit of this building is it allows you to save a fleetslot and have your mines working while you are away. I suggest to keep it around 7, although some players will leave it entirely, or go to the highest. Theoretical maximum level: 17~ ================================================================================ [C][r][y][s][t][a][l] [S][t][o][r][a][g][e] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 2 000, Crystal - 1 000 Base time: 1 hour, 12 minutes Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to keep producing crystal until the cap is reached. This is a number of crystal, where your mines no longer have a place to put the metal, so production stops until you have space. However you may still collect over this with ship transporting. This is a number of deuterium, where your mines no longer have a place to put the deuterium, so production stops until you have space. However you may still collect over this with ship transporting. The only real benefit of this building is it allows you to save a fleetslot and have your mines working while you are away. I suggest to keep it around 6, although some players will leave it entirely, or go to the highest. Theoretical maximum level: 15~ ================================================================================ [R][e][s][e][a][r][c][h] [L][a][b] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 200, Crystal - 400, Deuterium - 200 Base time: 14 minutes, 24 seconds Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to research! This is a very important aspect of the game. Research is crucial to ship development and if used correctly, research will allow you to dominate the game. I suggest getting this quite early and having it quite high, to cut down research times and allow you to get the useful techs very soon. However, you cannot upgrade this while researching, and you can only research one thing per account at one single time. Theoretical maximum level: 18~ (Only useful to 12 when you have IRN and colonies with Research Labs) ================================================================================ [T][e][r][r][a][f][o][r][m][e][r] Requirements: -Nanite Factory (1) -Robotics Factory (10) -Computer Technology (10) -Research Lab (1) -Energy Technology (12) -Research Lab (1) Base cost: Crystal - 50 000, Deuterium - 100 000, Energy - 1 000 Base time: 20 days Growth factor: 2 Description: This building gives your planet 5 additional fields from which to build onto. This is very useful in the later game, when you need extra fields to build onto. You do need a field to build it, so if you plan on building multiple Terraformers, you really only get 4 extra fields. But this is a very useful to use a planet to it's full potential. The energy needs to be present in your maximum energy, not spare. It isn't taken away when you pay for the Terraformer, it is left. It's merely a 'test' to see if you are worthy to build it. Theoretical maximum level: 10~ (Only useful if running low on fields) ================================================================================ [A][l][l][i][a][n][c][e] [D][e][p][o][t] Requirements: •Must be ACS universe Base cost: Metal - 20 000, Crystal - 40 000 Base time: 1 day Growth factor: 2 Description: YOU MUST BE ON AN ACS UNIVERSE TO BUILD THIS! (Universe 5 or Universe 18+). This building allows other players to station their fleets on your planet for a set period of time. The owner of the Alliance Depot may then send the fleets as a whole to attack someone, and they return to the depot after the battle. It costs deuterium to station your fleets at an alliance depot. Theoretical maximum level: 11~ ================================================================================ [M][i][s][s][i][l][e] [S][i][l][o] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 20 000, Crystal - 20 000, Deuterium 1 000 Base time: 16 hours Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to build two types of missiles. The first, Anti-Ballistic Missiles can be built as soon as you build this, and 10 can be held per level of Missile Silo. The second, Interplanetary Missiles are offensive and can only be built once level 4 Missile Silo has been attained. 5 can be held per level of Missile Silo. The storage of the Missile Silo is shared between both types of missiles, mixing of both types is allowed. Theoretical maximum level: 12~ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moon buildings - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [R][o][b][o][t][i][c][s] [F][a][c][t][o][r][y] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 400, Crystal - 120, Deuterium - 200 Base time: 12 minutes, 28 seconds Growth factor: 2 Description: This building cuts the time taken to build other buildings by a factor of it's level. The time for a building to build is: [building time] * (1 / [robotic factory level] + 1) It is a very useful building, absolutely necessary for Jump Gate. For optimum building time, get this to level 8. I suggest to deconstruct after you attain a Jump Gate. Theoretical maximum level: 18~ (Not very useful past 8) ================================================================================ [S][h][i][p][y][a][r][d] Requirements: -Robotics Factory (2) Base cost: Metal - 400, Crystal - 200, Deuterium - 100 Base time: 14 minutes, 24 seconds Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to build ships. On a moon, many players neglect it and will go straight towards a Jump Gate and then Sensor Phalanx. [building time] * (1 / [shipyard level] + 1) Theoretical maximum level: 14~ ================================================================================ [M][e][t][a][l] [S][t][o][r][a][g][e] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 2 000 Base time: 48 minutes Growth factor: 2 Description: ****ing useless on a moon! Theoretical maximum level: 13~ (Even one of these is useless) ================================================================================ [L][u][n][a][r] [B][a][s][e] Requirements: None (able to build immediately) Base cost: Metal - 20 000, Crystal - 40 000, Deuterium - 20 000 Base time: 1 day Growth factor: 2 Description: Max this out! This building allows you to build more buildings on your moon. For each level, it gives you 3 fields. If you intend on building more Lunar Bases, only 2 of these are able to be spent on other things. It takes up a field to build. It also supplies energy for some weird reason. Theoretical maximum level: 10~ ================================================================================ [S][e][n][s][o][r] [P][h][a][l][a][n][x] Requirements: -Lunar Base (1) Base cost: Metal - 20 000, Crystal - 40 000, Deuterium - 20 000 Base time: 1 day Growth factor: 2 Description: This building allows you to scan player's planets. Instead of giving you an espionage report, it will give you a fleet report, showing all of the player's fleets in motion. The fleet report is a medium-sized page which pops up, and shows an overview-style page with fleets and times. The phalanx does exclude a few things, namely recalled deployments, moons to moons, moon to debris fields, and a few others possibly. It costs 5000 deuterium for each scan, which is performed through the galaxy menu while 'on the moon'. The distance it can scan is: ([sensor phalanx level] ^ 2) - 1 Theoretical maximum level: 9~ ================================================================================ [J][u][m][p] [G][a][t][e] Requirements: -Lunar Base (1) -Hyperspace Technology (7) -Energy Technology (5) -Research Lab (1) -Shielding Technology (5) -Energy Technology (3) -Research Lab (1) -Research Lab (6) -Research Lab (7) Base cost: Metal - 2 000 000, Crystal - 4 000 000, Deuterium - 2 000 000 Base time: 100 days Growth factor: 2 Description: Once you build this, and you have another moon with a Jump Gate, you are able to 'Jump' your fleet from one moon to another, for free. The jump is instantaneous. The fleet cannot contain resources, and you can only jump once per hour. This is very useful for fleetsaving, hiding and attacking. For some reason, it also appears to give 55 energy. Theoretical maximum level: 3~ (Not useful past 1) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Other Information - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I play OGame in .org in Universe 9.
