[=============================================================] | <> =Introduction to Graal and Zodiac= <<1.0>> | [=============================================================] Well, this is the first guide I've ever made, it might take a while to get the guide where i'd like it, but I think I have enough dedication to fully complete it. Now, Graal is a MMORPG created by Stefan Knorr from CyberJouer. Graal takes the form of a Zelda atmosphere, as its original name was ZeldaOnline. You control a 2D avatar with practically unlimitless customization. With the ability to change how you look and the opporutnity to run servers, Graal is an amazing game. Most of Graal is based on players, with dedicated talent. Most servers are run by players rather than CyberJouer staff. The environment of Graal revolves around playerbase. In Graal, you have the ability to create your own atmosphere and levels to actual games. You can create your own graphics that tailor to what you feel your character should look like. Without the thriving community that Graal has, there would be no improvements to the game. Graal is a payment game that requires one payment of 29.99 $ American to play. Upon the first payment, you will have access to Gold and VIP servers, which are mainly run by CyberJouer. Your access to Gold/VIP servers eventually runs out, and you can then only access Classic servers. Renewing your access to Gold/VIP servers costs more money. However, you will always be able to go to Classic servers. You can also purchase your own server, that you develop. However, buying a server costs additional fees. But enough about Graal, i'm here to talk about Zodiac... Now, i'm not a old member of Zodiac, but when it moved from the Hosted servers (that require VIP) to the Classic servers, I wanted to try it out. Never have I been so hooked on a server on Graal. You really get the feel of an oldschool RPG that we all love. It takes the aspects of Graal's 2D and the love of RPG into one game. Generally, Graal isn't like most MMORPGs, as there is no levelling base on most servers. However, Zodiac provides a wonderful levelling RPG system and is an all around wonderful server. Like most other 'standard' RPGs, in Zodiac, you will be able to party with others and compete in Nation Wars. You will have the fun of PKing on Graal to a whole new level. Zodiac provides 50 levels of questing and fighting that is not seen anywhere else on Graal. That was a very core explanation of Graal and Zodiac, but let's get more in depth into starting to play Zodiac. [=============================================================] | <> =Tutorial Island= <<2.0>> | [=============================================================] Note: Assuming you've already played Graal before, you should know the basic logistics of moving around. If not, visit the General Information section for controls. You start off Zodiac on Tutorial island, with a brown haired NPC a few steps in front of you. When you touch him, there should be some text in the bottom left of your corner.He gives you a training sword and tells you how to open your equipment. He also starts you off with a quest to get him three leaves. First of all, press Q and go to Weapons. Double click the sword to select it. Now, press Q again and press D to equip the sword. You can now press S to slash your sword. The leaves the NPC tells you to get are found after you slash bushes. Roam around the area and any bushes you can find. The leaves that drop are yellow, when you get close to them a red box should hover around the leaves. Press A while the red box is around the leaves to pick them up. After gathering 3 leaves, touch the NPC again. He'll start moving, but as a reward for giving him the leaves, you level up. Now, picking a class can be a very important thing, as it determines what kind of role you play in fighting. There are more details on classes in section 7.0. Pick your class and move on to talk to the NPC again. Now, he talks about abilities, depending on your class, he'll give you your first level ability. Talk to him again, he'll tell you how to use skills. He says that E is the skill tab, press E to see that you have two skills. The two skills are Tailor and whatever first level skill. The Tailor skill helps you choose how you look like. One of the best features of Graal is that you can change whatever you look like. For more details on appearance changing, check section 4.0. Follow the path until you see him, talk to him yet again. Now he tells you how to drop items. Dropping items can be challenging for beginners that are unfamiliar with Graal. Here is basically what the guy tells you. Press Q, and go to the item that you want to drop. In this case, it's leaves. So go to the Items Tab. Double click the leaves so you select it. You can tell you select it if it shows up in the top left corner. Now, from the top left corner, drag the leaves icon onto the ground. Let go once your cursor is on the ground, you should be prompted with choosing how many leaves you'd like to drop. Type 3 and hit Enter. The leaves should have dropped in whichever direction your character was in. Again, talk to the NPC. Follow him to the last part of the tutorial. He talks about targeting NPCs and people. You can target by either using your mouse (which is very inconvenient) or pressing NumPad0 to cycle through nearby people. Target him using the NumPad0. He'll congratulate you for learning the basics and give you very basic armor. Continue walking the path and go on the glowing purple platform to get warped to OSL. Now that the Tutorial is over with, it's time to learn about life in Zodiac. [=============================================================] | <> =The Life of a Beginner= <<2.5>> | [=============================================================] From your first glance outside of the tutorial, you'll see a bunch of people in one room. This is OSL, or the Online Starting Location. I suggest talking to all the NPCs you can, as it will be very beneficial. Take the door down to go outside. There are probably a lot of people camping the OSL door, or fighting on the roads. This can make the game very laggy, but just walk through it. Where you go is your decision, and doesn't really effect your leveling process or game. The fun as a beginner is discovering everything for the first time. Within moments of the OSL, you can walk to the shops and the mines of Zodiac. Mining is currently one of the most effective ways to make money. But, being a beginner, you'll be broke and not be able to afford a Pick Axe to mine. Wait until level 3 or 4 if you'd like to start mining. Leveling and exploration should be your top priorities right now. Once you're comfortable with the atmosphere, it's time to fight your first monsters, Baby Liches! Go to the Ideal Monsters section to see more detail on Baby Liches. Note: If you are a mage or priest, talk to the white-haired man in the OSL building. He is in the bottom right corner of the room. This man will give you a quest to get you a more "spellcaster like weapon". He asks that you get him five leaves. When you return, he'll give you a magic rod. This magic rod is much better for casting spells than the Training Sword. After killing a few Baby Liches (which may be difficult at first), you should be used with the fighting style of Zodiac. If you've played some older Action RPGs, you should be familiar with the fighting of Zodiac. Killing 10 Baby Liches should get you to Level 2. You now have the option of either expanding into a multi-class, or continuing a pure-class. Multi-classing can be a great way to shape your class. Eventually, multi- classing can reward you with a new hybrid class. These hybrid classes require you to have ten levels in each class. Being a pure-class character means that you're focused to only be in one class. This can be beneficial if your goal is only to have one role in a party. It is also a much simpler path, that doesn't require you to think about what skills you will use. Personally, I chose to Multi-Class, as I was intending to have a Hybrid-Class. If you're interested about my character, check section 9.0. At Level 2, you now know where Baby Liches are, and hopefully have picked up a few bone pieces. From here, go back to OSL, and pick up the Bone Piece Quest. Talk to the guy in the bottom left corner of the OSL building to get a quest concerning Baby Liches and Bone Pieces. He asks that you get him six bone pieces. Go back to either the Lich-Infested House or the Cave of Liches. Hunt Baby Liches until you get enough bone pieces. You can continue to kill Baby Liches until you level up to level 3 or return right away. I didn't want to make two trips, and I stayed until level 3. At Level 3, you should be quite familiar with your starting skill. One more level, and depending on your class selection, you can get another skill. When you return to the guy who gave you the quest, he will reward you with about 1000 gold. Now it's time to get some new equipment. Depending on how much money you have, you can buy an array of different items. I suggest buying a simple weapon, or saving up to get your first set of armour. Both choices are pretty good. From Level 3, you've probably got the hang of Zodiac, if you have any trouble, you should try to talk to some Zodiac Staff or interact with other players. [=============================================================] | <> =Communicating on Graal= <<3.0>> | [=============================================================] Graal has one of the most versatile communication systems, which is very simple to learn. It provides three indiviual ways to talk to other players, and all ways are quick to use, and reduces clutter. A lot of new people, including myself when I started to play, did not know all the ways to communicate with others. In this section, I will cover everything important I know about communicating on Graal - Zodiac, specifically. [-----------------------On-Screen Talking-----------------------] The first, and most obvious way of communicating is through text that appears above your head. This type of communicating only works with people in the same level as you, and will dissapear after a few seconds. To communicate this way, just press Tab and start typing, pressing Enter to input what you said for people around you to see. This type of communicating is only temporary, and what you say will not be recorded. This type of talking makes things very simple, and imitates the talking of a real life situation. You put in commands this way, such as saying "unstick me" or "/sit". This is probably the most common way to communicate. [---------------------Playerlist Messaging----------------------] Although that is a great way to talk, sometimes you might want something to be permanent, or recorded. To do this, open your playerlist (F7), and select the player you want to talk to. You'll have to double click the person. This should open up a window, where you can type your message. This window is called a Player Message window. After typing your message, press send. You'll note that unlike the other form of communicating, that this form of communication saves what you say. To check what a person player messaged you, or what you said to them, open the playerlist, right click a person and click History. This will show when you sent a message and what the message said. However, unlike the other form of communication, what you send them will not show up on the screen, but will send it to them through the playerlist. You will be notified if someone sent a player message to you by a flashing bubble at the top of your screen (next to your health). To open a player message, open the playerlist. You should see a flashing yellow bubble from the player that sent you the message. Double click the bubble. It will open up a similar type of window that is used to send messages. This window will have the message that was sent by the person. There is also a reply button, for easy message returning. Graal also provides you to be able to send a message to more than one person. You do this the same way you send a personal message, except in the playerlist, press shift and drag your cursor over the people you want to talk to. You can also select one guy and hold control down, and select another indiviually. This is called a mass message, and sends a message to the people who you selected. Lots of people mass message everyone in the server, and use it as a server-wide way to communicate. Because of this, there is an option to ignore mass messages, since lots of arguments and blabbering can happen over mass messaging. Along with mass and player messaging, there is guild messaging. Obviously, it sends a message to people online on your guild. However, using guild messaging is different than the other two forms of communication. To guild message, type in "toguild: text", where text is what you want to say. This will send a message to people in your guild, but it will be opened through the playerlist. [------------------------Chatbox Talking------------------------] All other forms of communication do not use the playerlist and are not recorded. One of these forms of communication is using /shout on Zodiac. Using /shout sends your text to everyone with the shout option toggled on. It the shout feature will send purple text to everyone in the bottom left corner of their screen. In lots of scenarios, the shout feature will clutter a lot of your screen. To get rid of the clutter, type in /clear and your screen will be cleared. If you do not want to listen to shouts at all, say /shoutoff, to bring it back, type /shouton. Zodiac provides one other type of communication, that is useful for situations where you need to talk quickly. It uses the same space that is used for shouts and is used inbetween four different groups of people. These groups of people are: to an indiviual person, your party, your guild and your nation. To talk to an indiviual person through the chat box say /tell AccountName text. The account name must be the valid account name of the person you are talking to. Then, for talking to your party, type in /party text. This will send your message to your party instantly. For your guild, type /guild text. And for your nation, type /tonation text. These are all very convenient ways to communicate. In the chat box, the different types of text will come in different colors. Here are the colors in relation to what type of text. Shouts - Purple Tells - Red Party - Blue Guild - Green Nation - Orange In closing, knowing how to communicate in all these ways can be extremely important. [------------------------Graal Emoticons------------------------] Lastly, of all the types of Graal communication, there is emoticons. These emoticons aren't really "communicating", but are useful if you're too lazy or too busy to type. A lot of the time, emoticons are used for symbols, like using an 'angry' emoticon when someone in your party just aggroed a boss. There is an emoticon for each letter key on your keyboard, and are all easy to remember. To use a Graal Emoticon, make sure that your chatting box (tab) isn't open. Hold down Control and then press the letter key, of which emoticon you want to show. It will be like a thinking bubble, and in the bubble will be the emoticon. Most emoticons go away after a couple of seconds. But there are a few that stay until you say something/move. Here is a complete list of the emoticons. Ctrl + A = AFK Emoticon, doesn't go away until you move Ctrl + B = BRB Emoticon, doesn't go away until you move Ctrl + C = Confused Emoticon Ctrl + D = Wide Grin Emoticon Ctrl + E = Surprised Emoticon Ctrl + F = Sad Emoticon Ctrl + G = Angry Emoticon Ctrl + H = Heart Emoticon Ctrl + I = Idea/Lightbulb Emoticon Ctrl + J = PM Emoticon Ctrl + K = Cat Emoticon Ctrl + L = Laughing Emoticon Ctrl + M = Displeased Emoticon Ctrl + N = Cool Emoticon Ctrl + O = Shocked Emoticon Ctrl + P = Teasing Emoticon Ctrl + Q = Telephone Emoticon Ctrl + R = Rolling Smiley Emoticon Ctrl + S = Smile Emoticon Ctrl + T = Crying Emoticon Ctrl + U = Insulted Emoticon Ctrl + V = Sorry Emoticon Ctrl + W = Winking Emoticon Ctrl + X = Dead Emoticon Ctrl + Y = Apple Emoticon Ctrl + Z = Asleep Emoticon, doesn't go away until you move [=============================================================] | <> =General Information= <<4.0>> | [=============================================================] When starting Graal, without any beginner help, it can be a frustrating game to learn. This applies to Zodiac especially, because of its much more expansive world. Zodiac provides a tutorial for the basics of Zodiac, but not Graal. I hope that if you're new to Graal that you read this section, because it'll probably be useful. Now, if you're upset with an aspect of Graal, or you've found an error, keep in mind that another player created it. If you're interested in developing a part of a server, then you have to apply for a job on a server or create your own server. Having enough skill to work for a professional server can be quite difficult. But, mainly, the skills that servers are looking for are divided into three groups. [-----------------------------Levels----------------------------] Levels are the terrain of Graal, and each server has their own group of level specialists that create levels. This group of levelers is often referred to as the Levelling Administration Team. The Levelling Administration Team or LAT designs levels for their server. The skills a LAT has is creating and constructing a level using the Graal Editor. It takes a lot of time to compose a good looking level with enough detail. LATs are like Graalian Architects, who create the overworld for players. There are two types of leveling as a LAT. There is Outside Leveling, which covers the full extent of a level and requires a lot more detail in space to be filled. And there is Inside Leveling, which is like the inside of a room, and therefore does not need to be completely filled. You can tell if a level is 'filled' or not if it uses the black-tile that looks like darkness. This black tile is used to show that there is nothing beyond that area. Now, if you're unsure about what a level is, I can explain. A level is a specific area that has boundaries until it connects to another level. Each level is its own area, and they all are connected to create an overworld or terrain. You can tell if you've crossed onto another level if you see a little tick of lag when you move. You can also check if you're in another level by right clicking your character to show your profile. In the top right corner of your profile, you should see a level name that ends in .nw or .graal. When you move into a new level, you should see the level name change. Using a character's profile is a good way to determine where that person is. Also, when you walk into a door, and you're warped into a different place, you just experienced the transition of levels. Moving between levels is a very common thing, and you probably have done it without realizing it sometimes. If you're interested in creating a level, you'll have to have downloaded the GraalEditor program, which should come with your install of Graal. Open the GraalEditor program, you should see a field of grass. This is how levels start to be made. On the side is a panel with a ton of different tiles. A tile is a piece of a level, like a pixel is to a graphic.Each tile can either be walked on, swam on or be an obstacle. Sometimes, if you properly branch together a few tiles, they can compose an object. For example, if you put together the four 'marsh' tiles, you can cut down that object. However, indiviually, they're useless. All of the tiles on the default tileset are displayed on the tile-panel. But, some servers use their own tileset. To make your own tileset for a server, you'd have to create your own Graphics on an art program. Making graphics is also a vital part of Graal. [---------------------------Graphics--------------------------] Graal has provided us with the amazing ability to customize our own graphics. Graphics compose everything that you see on Graal. Every bush or stone is a graphic that was made by someone. There is an original tileset that was made with Graal, and that is free for anyone to use. But, several servers use their own personal tilesets. Even some guilds or clans use their own tilesets to enhance the look of some tiles. But, graphics don't just make tilesets, they make much more than that. Your appearance is all made of graphics. Lots of players develop their own skills to create graphics that tailor to their own liking instead of the default one. However, there is a large selection of graphics that were already made for public use. Lots of graphics that people make are also for public use. Some servers give the option of being able to secure graphics. Securing graphics means that only your account can wear a certain graphic. On your appearance, there are four main pieces of graphics. There is the head, the body, the shield and the sword. On most servers, you change your appearance graphics by using commands. The commands for general servers are "setgraphic name.file" Depending on what graphic you want to change, you will replace graphic with either head, shield, sword or body. Every graphic has its own name from creation. Depending on what graphic you want to select to, you will use that name. Lastly, every graphic is made from a type of file. Suggested files that most servers will accept are .PNG and .MNG. A .PNG file is a basic, simple file, while a .MNG. is a moving graphic. Some servers want you to use .GIF, which compacts the detail of a graphic. A proper use of this command would be something like... "Sethead head.26.png" and then pressing enter to enter your command. If properly typed, your head should change to head26, which is a guy with a red bandana. When creating an appearance graphic, you have to create all the sprites and sides for that graphic. Therefore, you have to create a head from every angle and every motion. Bodies are definitely the hardest to make, because it has the most moving motions. Some bodies have the ability to change an article of colour on your appearance. There are five articles of clothing on every body. These articles are Coat, Sleeves, Belt, Shoes and Skin. Depending on the body you are using, each article of clothing will be of a different part of the body. You can change the color of your body by setting your article of clothing to a specific color. Each server has a different command to do this. On Zodiac, you change your colors by using the Tailor Skill, selected by using the E button. Finally, graphics also make up NPCs, for a majority of NPCs have a graphic. NPCs are either computer characters or objects. They either interact with you through text or effect you through some programmed way. On Zodiac, a NPC with a graphic would be a sword. For the purpose of an example, let's use a door. Now, a simple door is an NPC that was programmed. A door also has a very simple graphic. When you interact with the door, it will either move aside slowly or vanish for a few seconds. Things like doors and monsters qualify as NPCs. If you're interested in creating a graphic, you can use any time of art program. The most popular one is Paint, which takes an effort of pixelating every pixel in a graphic. While tedious, if you properly constructed a graphic, it should look good. There are other art programs that people use to make graphics such as PaintShop Pro, which would make things much easier. Sometimes, methods like PaintShop Pro are looked down upon as it is the "easy way out". However, utilizing both functions of PaintShop Pro and Paint by adding touches on PaintShop Pro is very wise. Make sure that your graphic is also transparent, or else there will be a box of color around your graphic. To make your graphic transparent, check the guide on how to set transparencies in section 8.0. [--------------------------Scripting--------------------------] Scripting is the fundament that creates programs and NPCs. A script is something that runs an NPC. Scripts vary from extremely intricate to very simple. Most scripts on Zodiac revolve around quite complicated scripts. Without scripts on Graal, there would be no vanishing doors or monsters on Zodiac. All games run on NPCs, which run on scripts. However, Graal uses a unique type of scripting that is not found in any other game. If you ever encounter a huge source of lag in a level, that is probably because of the massive amounts of NPCs. Note that even light effects count as scripted NPCs. Especially on Zodiac, where the gameplay is quite different from normal Graal servers, you'd expect a lot of scripts. Some things that you'd like in Zodiac or any Graal server may not be in the server because of the difficulty in scripting that particular NPC. Out of all three development skills, scripting is probably the hardest, and requires the most talent and patience to master. In Graal, there are several different ways to script a certain command. They may all produce the same effect, but just in different ways. The possibilities in scripting are practically endless with a certain amount of knowledge. If you'd like to start learning to script, it would be hard to start from scratch. I suggest trying to find a scripting guide for Graal. Personally, I cannot script at all, and usually rely on other premade scripts, when making houses or buildings. But, to create scripts from scratch, you must use your Graal Editor. Once this is open, click on the "Predefined NPCs" tab. Then, pick the whitish/ grayish outline that looks like a bubbly man. Drag that icon onto the grass, and it should open a new window, with open lines for you to create a script with. On the side of the newly created window should be a bunch of single scripting commands. A script is composed with the proper selection of all these single commmands with the combination of other stuff. If I scripted, I would provide an example of a good and bad script. [----------------------Graal Ettiquette-----------------------] In all games, there is usually a certain ettiquette or standard that people look up to or try to follow. If you want to be respectable or civilized on any game, you'll probably want to abide by these rules. These rules are mainly common sense, such as avoiding scammers and not being rude, but are sadly not followed from some players. I hope that you'll read through this section if you're confused about what a proper Graalian on Zodiac acts like. This ettiquette is quite similar to most games, but includes some stuff that doesn't apply to other games. I'm splitting this section into a couple 'dont's', that are the main point of what i'm trying to say. ============================================] 1.| Begging and Groveling for Money or Items| ============================================] On any game, there will always be lazy people. This is a universal attitude, that lots of gamers have. Not only is this embarassing, but it is usually unattended. There are people online, sometimes of lower level, or higher level players. The people that i'm talking about are beggers. Those that will go to anyone, begging for money or items. If you want to be respectable, don't beg strangers for anything. It's obvious that the person you're begging earned all of their stuff by themselves. Therefore, you should make an effort to get gold or items by yourself. Begging is a pathetic act, that should be halted. ==============================] 2.| Looting and Ninjaing Items| ==============================] Looting and Ninjaing are both the same act, and are both extremely offensive to other players. When you loot, you are waiting for someone else to kill a monster and take something that they drop. You might think that you can't pick it up because they get time to pick it up. However in some situations, the person who fought the monster might be fighting a different monster at the moment. So, a looter would keep trying to pick it up until they can, while the person who is entitled to the item is fighting other monsters. People who loot are extremely shunned and hated for their actions. There is another type of looting, which happens inbetween trades. When two people are trading and you are a bystander, or near the situation, there is an opportunity to loot. Some trades are done by dropping items, if the trade window does not work. When the item is dropped, looters like to quickly grab the item, and run away, log off or pretend to be idle. This seriously disrupts the trade and is a terrible act to do. Doing this is one of the lowest things a Graalian can do. Ninjaing is a similar action, but is more deceptive. The classic ninja would be in a party, fighting some sort of monster or going through a dungeon. The party would decide on a looting system as a whole, saying that certain classes get certain items. Assume that this party is fighting a boss, and that the boss drops something of extreme value to a particular person, that is not the ninja. In a normal situation, the party would talk about who would get it. However, the ninja will simply just take the item as soon as possible, and do the same tactics that a trade-looter would. Again, looting and ninjaing are both extremely disrespectable. =============================] 3.| Intentional Door-Blockers| =============================] We have probably all seen those people who block doors, perhaps by accident, or on purpose. A door blocker is simply someone who blocks the door so that no one can get through. Sometimes this is accidental, as someone might enter a new level and instantly cast a long spell. Or perhaps, they're staying in the entrance to avoid aggroing monsters that are a few steps away. Whatever the reason is, intentional door blocking can be quite frustrating. Zodiac has provided a pushing feature so that you can push away some door- blockers, but in some situations you cannot push them away. This is truly annoying when the door-blockers obstruct you from getting to a long-awaited boss or a really good item. Do not door-block as it is another terrible thing to do. =========================] 4.| Scamming, Overpricing| =========================] Overpricing is common on most games, especially when the person you're trading is unknowledgable about the price of the item you're trading. Sometimes, overpricing is obvious, when the person selling the item keeps raising the price to see how much the person will pay for. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as selling an item for too low is not good. But, lieing about how much an item actually costs is rude. Scamming also happens in trades, and usually abuses the use of glitches. Sometimes, there will be two or more players that trick one person using false agreements and lies to get someone's trust. Scammers are common, and use several different methods to get items, money or secrets from people. Sometimes it may be hard to identify is someone is trying to scam you are not, but it is wise to always trade through the normal trade transfer and not trust people who promise items. ============] 5.| Spamming| ============] Spamming isn't found just inside Graal or Zodiac. Spamming happens everywhere, in conversations, other games, etc. Spamming is basically repeating yourself several times in a row until you get attention or what you said is addressed. Most people who do this are either trying to buy/sell something, or trying to start a ruckus. I'm sure that most people who play any type of game hate spamming and probably hate the people who spam. To avoid getting hated, don't spam in public or to a specific person. In final, for Graal ettiquette, not doing any of the things listed above will probably get you a respectable reputation. [---------------------------Macros----------------------------] Macros are legal functions, where you shorten an attack, saying or command into the press of one button. Using macros is a much better way to fight, as you don't have to juggle your skills by using the E skill button. Without macros, it would be extremely tough to fight in Zodiac, limiting players to usually only one skill per fight. Most people get confused when creating macros, as they do not know how, or are unknowledgable about the commands. Hopefully, this section will teach you how to use macros, as they are an integral part of Zodiac. First of all, type in /macro or press the N button. After you do one of the two things, a blue box-window should open up, named Macro Control. The Macro Control window should look like this: [===========================================] | Macro Control | [===========================================] | | | | | | | | | | [===========================================] | ______________________________ | | Name [ ] | | [______________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | __________ ___________ _______ | | | Save | | Close | [ ] | | |__________| |___________| [_______] | [===========================================] To start making a macro, first give your macro a name. For this example, i'm going to use Fireball, so type in Fireball in the box. On the second line, put /Cast Fireball. Macros are case sensitive, so it has to be the exact spelling. The third line is optional, but I would put something like [Casting Fireball], to notify people that i'm casting the fireball. The command would be something like /Say [Casting Fireball]. That is the basic macro for a spell, but if you'd like to get fancier, then you get include this in the fourth and fifth line. For the fourth line, put /Wait 0.6. This means that your character waits for 0.6 seconds before doing the next line. Note that a Fireball takes 0.6 seconds to cast. To check how long it takes to cast your spell, press E to activate your skill window and click on your skill. It should say how long it takes to cast with that skill. Now, on the fifth line write /Say [Fireball]. This lets people know that i'm finished casting the fireball, and that a fireball is being hurled in a direction. So, all of your lines are complete, now for the final touch, the key-code for the macro. The key-code is the button you'll press to activate the code. In the box beside the Close button, type in a key on your keyboard that isn't already being used by a normal function. For this example, I will use the number 1. In actuality, you only need the second line and the key-code, which executes the spell, but other commands like /say and /wait make your spellcasting look cooler and more enhanced. This is what your Macro Control window should look like after. [===========================================] | Macro Control | [===========================================] | | | | | | | | | | [===========================================] | ______________________________ | | Name [ Fireball ] | | [______________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ /Cast Fireball ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ /Say [Casting Fireball] ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ /Wait 0.6 ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ /Say [Fireball] ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | ______________________________________ | | [ ] | | [______________________________________] | | | | __________ ___________ _______ | | | Save | | Close | [ 1 ] | | |__________| |___________| [_______] | [===========================================] Now, after you've saved, a new tab should open up in the Macro Control window in the top section. The tab should say "Fireball". To edit your macros, just double-click the tab to open up that macro. To test it out press close, and then press 1. Remember that you can always get more complicated with your macros, once again, here are all of the commands you can use. /Say Text - When you activate your macro, it'll say whatever words you put after. /Wait # - Waits however long you set it to until the next command happens. /Cast Name of Skill/Spell - Casts whatever spell comes after it. /Sit - Makes your character sit. If you need any additional help, don't be hesitant to contact me. [-----------------------Lookup Feature------------------------] The lookup feature is infinitely useful when trading. It allows you to look up any weapon or equipment in the Zodiac database, and see its stats as though you had it. When someone masses a list of what they're selling, instead of asking them what stats have what, you can easily just look up the piece of equipment. Note that there ARE a few equipment that are missing from the database. Most of these equipment are ones with long names, usually with modifiers. To use the look up feature, type in: /lookup nameofequipment [=============================================================] | <> =Controls= <<4.5>> | [=============================================================] This section is combined with General Information because Controls is considered General Information. There are three parts of Controls; Controls for All Servers and Zodiac, Controls for Zodiac and Controls for other servers. [-------------Controls for All Servers and Zodiac-------------] The Controls are the most basic of basics in Graal. Graal does not use that many buttons unless you set it to. This section only covers buttons that you use in both Zodiac and Graal. There are some buttons that are server specific. ___ [ ^ ] Yes, the up arrow button. Of course, the arrow buttons control [___] the direction that your avatar goes in. Pressing the up arrow will either move your character up, or if you are selecting something, it will move your select-button up. ___ [ < ] This is the left arrow key, it moves your character left or moves [___] your selecting cursor left. ___ [ > ] Likewise to the left arrow key, the right arrow key moves your [___] character right or moves your selecting cursor right. ___ [ V ] The Down arrow key moves your character down or moves your selecting [___] cursor down. I know the arrow keys were very redundant and repetitive, but there may be people out there with confused thoughts about moving! Also, holding down a directional button while your character is against an object or wall will make your character push in that direction. Sometimes, you need to push objects or items to go further down a path. ___ [ A ] The A Button is the button used to grab items, walls or objects. [___] If hold down the A button and then use the Down Button, you can pull some objects. In Zodiac, A is used to pick up items. A is constantly used to lift items as well (such as pots or stones). ___ [ S ] The S Button is used for slashing your melee weapon. When you press [___] S, your character should give a melee attack to a target in front of your avatar. Outside of Zodiac, S is the only way you can attack (without using NPCs). Fighting with the S button is the primary way to spar or PK on other servers. ___ [ D ] When the D button is pressed, you use your selected NPC. Depending on [___] what NPC you have selected, the D button can perform in several ways. On Zodiac, D is the main way to cast spells aside from using Macros. ___ [ Q ] The Q button activates your Inventory. On Zodiac, pressing Q will give [___] you an array of tabs to choose from to further specify what kind of inventory you're looking for. Other servers usually have bags in your inventory to properly group what items you have. In your Inventory, you should have a variety of NPCs and items. If you double click an item or NPC, you should have selected it. Now, you can press D to use what you have selected. ___ [ M ] Pressing the M button activates the use of your map. In Zodiac, [___] sometimes you won't have the map of a certain area. You automatically have the map of Escalus, but for other areas, you have to find/purchase them. On other servers, there is usually only one map, but you have to self-discover the areas of the map by walking to them. Using the M-Map is usually very useful for finding locations on your own. ___ [Tab] The Tab button opens your chat box, that you use to type messages or [___] commands. Using Tab is universal on all servers of Graal. Pressing Tab while the chat box is open will close the chat box. ___ [F 7] Pressing the button f7 will open up your playerlist. Your playerlist is [___] used to contact other people through windowed messages. From your playerlist, you can also toggle your profile and change your online status. To find out more about windowed messages, check the section about contacting in Graal. [------------------Zodiac Specific Controls-------------------] The Zodiac Staff has created several more buttons that are only used in Zodiac.This is probably because there are more options on Zodiac than most servers. The Tutorial doesn't go through all the buttons, and therefore, some people may be confused about what buttons do what. ___ [ E ] This button is explained in the Zodiac Tutorial. It is used for opening [___] and selecting your skills. While the skills tab is open, you can press D to select a skill. ___ [ N ] The N button is used to open your macro tab. Macros are a very [___] important part of fighting in Zodiac. Using macros utilizes the maxmimum of your skills and spells. ___ [ T ] If you're interested in creating your own radio on Zodiac, you'll need [___] to eventually press this button. Pressing T opens the radio stations that are currently being hosted, and an option where you can host your own. If you need help creating your own radio station on Zodiac, look at the 'How to' section. [-------------------Graal Specific Controls-------------------] Zodiac doesn't a few of the controls that most Graal servers do. The buttons they don't use are very important to other servers and the reason why Zodiac doesn't allow it is understandable. ___ [ P ] The P button is very vital in some situations on Graal Servers. When [___] you press P on other servers, it puts you in "pause mode". When paused, you cannot be hurt by anything. This function is often abused, and people pause when at low health while in fights. It is wise to pause while not at the keyboard. When you are paused, other players can walk through you. Zodiac does not allow it, because Zodiac tries to take a more realistic atmosphere where you can't pause in fights. ___ [ R ] When the R button is pressed on other Graal servers, it will display [___] other people's sparring rate. A person's sparring rate determines how good of a sparrer they are. More information on sparring can be found further into the General Information Section. Rate does not apply to players of Zodiac because Zodiac does not have a sparring rate system. [-------------Graal Specific Control Combinations--------------] In Graal, there are a few control combinations, where you press a series of buttons, that produce something else. These combinations only apply to servers that aren't Zodiac. But, it is still important to know them, because they are quite basic. ___ ___ [ S ] + [ A ] Pressing S + A while make an item that you have pop above your
[___] [___] head. If you press S, you will drop the item you have selected.
               If you press A, then you will cycle to the next item. The items
               you have include money, hearts, weapons, bombs and arrows. This
               is an excellent way to drop money or weapons. However, in some
               places, this is disabled, because the S + A function was
               abused. If you press S + A really quickly, it will produce a
               very quick slash. Some players used S + A to their advantage
               and began fighting with the S + A maneuver.

 ___     ___
[ S ] + [ D ]  The combination S + D is very similar to the S + A. But,
[___] [___] instead of cycling through items, it cycles through the NPCs in
               your inventory. If properly used, S + D can be a very deadly
               way to kill your enemies with certain NPCs.

 ___     ___
[Alt] + [ 3 ]  The use of Alt + 3 triggers your mini-map, that is usually
[___] [___] shown in the bottom left corner of your screen. Not at all
               servers have this mini-map function. Zodiac does not have a
               mini-map.

 [-------Control Combinations for All Servers and Zodiac-------]

Zodiac does not use the S + A or S + D or Alt + 3, but uses some of the
other control combinations that Graal servers use. The control
combinations Zodiac uses are all associated with Alt. They are used for more
conventional things that aren't involved with fighting.

 ___     ___
[Alt] + [ 2 ]  Alt + 2 is the screenshot-feature of Graal. When you press
[___] [___] these two buttons, a new window will open and your Graal game
               will momentarily freeze while you deal with the window. The
               window will ask you to name your Screenshot and where you would
               like to save it. It will save it in .PNG by default.

 ___     ___
[Alt] + [ 4 ] Pressing Alt + 4 will trigger two numbers to show up in the
[___] [___] bottom right corner of your screen. These two numbers change
               frequently, it represents the current lag you have. You may
               want to know how much lag you're experiencing and such.

 [=============================================================]
 | <>           =Monsters and Bosses=            <<5.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

This section is devoted to telling players what they should be fighting at
their level. This is completely my opinion, or what I used when I was that
level. I am not at maxed level yet, and still have a long time before I reach
level 50. This part of the guide will expand as I level. Please send in
suggestions or corrections if there are any. Depending on the usefulness of
your input, you will be creditted.

All monsters will be formatted in the following protocol:

Appearance: A brief description of what the monster looks like.
- Point #1
- Point #2
- Point #3

Body Figure: Normal or Large. Some monsters have the same body figure as your
character, some are much bigger or smaller.
Health: A rough estimate on how much health the monster has.
Noticeable Drops: What the monster drops.

Note that the level that is assigned to the monster may not be 100% accurate.
More experienced characters can take on some monsters before the suggest
level. Depending on the class and skill level, the suggested level may not be
that accurate.

Also remember that you would be able to take the monsters several levels early
if with a party. The level provided assumes that you are fighting by yourself.
This level is also the bare minimum into fighting the monster, also some
difficulties from monsters may depend on the person's class.

Later in this section will also be some bosses, just in case anyone is
wondering about them.

Note: With the new armor modifiers released, there are a LOT more types of
equipment. But, instead of listing them all, I replaced everything I found,
with the general things that they dropped. For example, Elves dropped
Bascinets, Jerkins, Royal Sets, etc. but I switched it all to "Level 25 - 30
sets". This way it is much more concise.

Weapons are still listed the same way.

 [--------------------List of Ideal Monsters-------------------]

=========================]
Level 1 - 4 The Baby Lich|
=========================]

Baby Liches are not to confused with normal Liches. Baby Liches are much
weaker and also look different. The Baby Liches do a lot less damage and have
less health.

Appearance:
- Helmet Head, with red eyes
- Black Suit with a White Sash
- Carries a sword that looks like a Training Sword

Body Figure: Normal.
Health: 1000 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Bone Pieces

Now, the first monsters we're going to fight are Baby Liches. These guys are
the weakest of the weak in all of Zodiac.

Unlike most monsters, there are two locations for Baby Liches. One is less
populated and has a lot more Baby Liches. The other is more public and is more
crowded.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to the Baby Liches (Cave of Liches,
Lich-Infested House).

====================]
Level 5 - 8 The Lich|
====================]

When you reach Level 5, you should be able to tell the difference between most
monsters. Although Baby Liches and Liches look similar, their stats are quite
different.

Appearance:
- Helmet Head, with red eyes
- Black Suit with a red sash
- Carries a refined sword

Body Figure: Normal.
Health: 2000 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Bone Pieces

These Liches are found in the same location to Baby Liches. Their strength and
health is increased, and will keep you occupied until about level 8.

You can fight them until level 9 to be safe, but the leveling will be quite
slow.

They are found in the same areas as Baby Liches, except deeper into the areas.

===============================]
Level 8 - 9 The Dragon Guardian|
===============================]

Dragon Guardians are the first guys to drop some actual equipment. They drop
swords for fighters, which are both good for fighters and rake in some vending
income.

Appearance:
- Dragon Helmet Head, Red Eyes
- Full Black Suit
- Carries a Long Sword

Body Figure: Normal.
Health: 4500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Silver Light and Soulbringer

These guys should just be used as backups if you aren't strong enough to kill
Crocodiles at this level. That is because there are only three Dragon
Guardians and their respawn is not the greatest. They give good weapons for
Warriors, with fairly good drop rates.

The health leap is quite big compared to Liches, but at your level, you should
be able to kill them.

They are located at Location #1 for Liches. They are deeper in the building
than Liches. You will probably stumble by them while leveling from 4 - 8.
Again, I repeat myself by saying they're not the greatest guys to level on.

==============================]
Level 9 - 11 The Crocodile Man|
==============================]

They are the lowest level monsters that don't use the normal body figures.
They look like huge green monsters, double the size of a
normal body. The Crocodile Men use swords, which make them look different from
Ravenous Crocodiles.

Appearance:
- Giant Green Horned Head, Red Eyes
- Completely Green
- Carries a simple looking sword

Body Figure: Large.
Health: Around 5000 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Club

Crocodile Men are great for experience, and can be taken on in groups at lower
levels. The location of crocodiles is rather tricky to find on your own.

Level 8s in groups can take Crocodile Men if they work together and smart.
Crocodile Men hit harder than monsters you've previously fought, and can be
quite dangerous. Also, there are a lot of Crocodile Men in one level, so it
might be a crowded fight or be obscured with lag.

Clubs drop quite often, so making money off of these guys can be done quite
easily. Around level 9 or 10 is when you should be starting to make more
money.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to the Crocodile Men (Crocodile
Lair).

====================================]
Level 12 - 14 The Ravenous Crocodile|
====================================]

Found in the same area as Crocodile Men, Ravenous Crocodiles make wonderful
monsters to fight. Ravenous Crocodiles are simply Crocodile Men with more
health and do more damage. Their fighting style is identical to Crocodile
Men, but they wield clubs instead of swords.

Appearance:
- Giant Green Horned Head, Red Eyes
- Completely Green
- Carries a Club

Body Figure: Large.
Health: 6000 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Freeze Daggers, Midnight Katars

Likewise to Crocodile Men, Ravenous Crocodiles are great for experience. In
the Crocodile Dungeon, there are much more Ravenous Crocodiles, and in more
crowded areas. Melee characters might have some difficulty fighting a
Ravenous Crocodile without aggroing a nearby one.

The health difference between Ravenous Crocodiles and Crocodile Men is not
that substantial. At level 12 or 13, you maybe able to kill both Crocodile
Men and Ravenous Crocodiles and still get an apt amount of exp from each
monster.

Ravenous Crocodiles drop quality items with a fairly good drop rate. The
Freeze Daggers drop more often, but sell to the vendor for more. But,
both Freeze Daggers and Midnight Katars are useful items.

Ravenous Crocodiles are in the same location that Crocodile Men are, just
deeper into the level.

============================]
Level 15 - 17 The Fire Spawn|
============================]

Fire Spawns can be quite difficult for even level 15s. They have a lot of
health with enough punch to kill most inexperienced players. It can be quite
deadly to fight Fire Spawns without good weapons or spells.

Appearance:
- Red Demon-Like Head, Green Eyes
- Completely Red
- Carries a Black Crystal Sword

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 8500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Smoldering Ring of Stamina, Intelligence, Luck, Dexterity
and Strength, Weak Fire Cores

Fire Spawns give a decent amount of experience, but should be taken on in a
group. Fighting Fire Spawns in groups are especially important at around level
15. There are a lot of Fire Spawns, so finding Fire Spawns to kill should not
be a problem.

Fire Spawns also rake in an amazing amount of money. They drop Smoldering
Rings, which sell for 1400 each. The Smoldering Rings are also great for a
starter accessory. Fire Spawns also drop Weak Fire Cores, which have a lower
drop rate and sell for lower.

Although the Fire Spawns never give an amazing amount of experience, they
will continue to give you a decent amount of experience, even at higher
levels.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to the Fire Spawns (Fire Dungeon).
The Fire Spawns share the same enclave as the Summoner Trainer.

================================]
Level 17 - 19 The Lesser Vampire|
================================]

Lesser Vampires are the weaker of the two vampires. Their rushing speed seems
to be faster than most monsters and may be more difficult for spellcasters.
Lesser Vampires have a similar HP to Fire Spawns, but have a higher damage
rate.

Appearance:
- Silver Haired Head, Transparent Eyes
- Black Plated Armor, White Leggings
- Carries a grayish metal-sword

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 9500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Gold Plate Set

Lesser Vampires are quite difficult to fight, and less abundant than Ancient
Vampires. You will probably want to tackle these guys in groups as well.

Although Lesser Vampires drop the Gold Plate Set at very low rates, they also
prepare you for fighting Ancient Vampires. Even after you've reached the
experience peak for Lesser Vampires, you'll probably still be fighting
them, because of their location (which is the same location as Ancient
Vampires).

Check the Locations section on how to get to Lesser Vampires (The Grave Yard).

===========================]
Level 18 - 20 The Hex Brood|
===========================]

Hex Broods are NPC spellcasters, which attack you from afar. Because of their
long ranged spells, Hex Broods will probably cause more trouble for melee type
classes.

Apperance:
- Blue-Green Hooded Head, Black Eyes
- Black Robe, Green hands/feet
- Carries a War Staff

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 9500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Moth Silk Set

Hex Broods are a bit more difficult than Lesser Vampires. You'll also probably
find more people fighting Lesser Vampires than Hex Broods. I only recommend
fighting Hex Broods if you are a spellcaster type, and only for the Moth Silk
Set.

The experience of Hex Broods is a bit more than Lesser Vampires, but not
considerably.

Check the Locations section on how to get to Hex Broods (Hex Dungeon).

=================================]
Level 20 - 24 The Ancient Vampire|
=================================]

Ancient Vampires can be quite a difficult monster to fight alone. Ancient
Vampires have lots of criticals, which makes them unpredictible fighters.
Likewise to Lesser Vampires, these guys are difficult for spellcasters. Their
HP is not that much higher from Lesser Vampires, but they deal much more
damage.

Appearance:
- Black Hooded Skull Head, Red Eyes
- White Robe, Black Vest
- Carries a grayish metal-sword

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 10,500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Gold Plate Set, Amulet of the Deceased

The best thing about Ancient Vampires is their amazing drops. Ancient Vampires
drop the Gold Plate Set, which is the level 20 set for all classes but
spellcasters. Each piece also sells for quite a bit.

Ancient Vampires also drop Amulets of the Deceased, which sell for well over
2000 at the vendor. Amulets of the Deceased are fairly good, but I stuck with
the Smoldering Ring, because the Smoldering Ring gave more of one statistic.

Because Ancient Vampires have such great drops, they are quite difficult
monsters. They have the ability to poison you, which compliments their
frequent criticals. Their normal hit is only bit higher than the Lesser
Vampires, but their poisons make them such a difficult foe.

Also, Ancient Vampires give amazing amounts of experience, and will keep
you fighting them for quite a while.

Ancient Vampires are in the same place as Lesser Vampires.

=============================]
Level 20 - 24 The Hex Soldier|
=============================]

Hex Soldiers are in the Hex Dungeon along with Hex Broods. However, Hex
Soldiers use melee attacks rather than long ranged magic. Hex Soldiers are
easier than Ancient Vampires, and have relatively the same health.

Appearance:
- Green Helmet Head, Brown Eyes
- Green Plated Armor, Brown Shoes
- Carries a grayish metal-sword

Body Figure: Normal.
Health: 10,500 HP.
Noticeable Drops: Moth Silk Set

Hex Soldiers are similar to Ancient Vampires, but are the easier fight. Hex
Soldiers drop the Moth Silk Set, which is the level 20 set for spellcasters.
It is not recommended that you fight Hex Soldiers for its much farther
location, and lack of popularity.

Ancient Vampires have much more people, and it will probably be easier to find
a party there. The upside to the Hex Dungeon is that there are a lot of
Hex Soldiers and Hex Broods. This can be both good and bad.

This means that there are a lot of Hexes, but the areas are a lot more crowded
with monsters. If you decide to fight Hexes, bring a party to ensure safety.

Hex Soldiers are in the same location as Hex Broods.

=================================]
Level 24 - 28 The Goblin Berseker|
=================================]

The leap from level 23 - 24 is pretty big when it comes to monsters. Goblin
Berserkers can be quite a challenge, but give a good amount of experience.
Goblin Berserkers leave most level 24s at a very low health when they are
defeated.

Appearance:
- Green Deformed Head, Red Eyes
- Brown Rags
- Carries a Golden Katar

Body Figure: Slightly Bigger, Normal when dead.
Health: 18000
Noticeable Drops: Level 25 - 30 Sets, Katars

Even at level 24, you'll probably still have some difficulty fighting goblins.
If that's the case, continue to fight Ancient Vampires and come back to
Goblins later. It is wise to get comfortable fighting Goblin Bersekers by
testing them in a party at first.

Goblin Bersekers have some good drops, and their drops should not be
overlooked. For example, the Royal Robe they drop can sell for a very high
profit.

The area for goblins is quite condensed, with lots of goblins close together.
Goblins should not be fought permanently. They can last for quite a while, but
after one or two levels of fighting Goblin Berserkers, you should move onto
being able to solo Elves.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to Goblin Berserkers (Goblin Hut).

============================]
Level 25 - 29 The Elven Mage|
============================]

Elven Magi are among the four types of elves. They are the weakest of the
four, but are still difficult to fight. Elven Magi look like Elven Priests.

Appearance:
- Red Bandana Head, Black Eyes
- White Body, Red Sash
- Carries an Earth Staff

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 17500
Noticeable Drops: Level 25 and 30 Armor Sets, Venom Dagger, Light Staff, Earth
Staff, Leaf Sabre

All elves drop the same things, but at different drop rates. Elves are the
first monster to have a large amount of equipment to drop. That is why they
are such popular monsters.

Elven Mages have a knocking-attack, which sends you a few steps back. This can
be very annoying if the attack knocks you into more opponents. Elven Mages
use lightning attacks and have a good melee strike as well.

All elves are in groups, but Elven Mages are the easiest to fight and should
be aimed at when in earlier levels.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to the Elven Magi (Cisris Dungeon).

==============================]
Level 25 - 29 The Elven Priest|
==============================]

Elven Priests are the second Elven spellcasters, but use healing magic instead
of attack magic. Elven Priests are almost identical to Elven Mages in look.
Both elven spellcasters have roughly the same health.

Appearance:
- Red Bandana Head, Black Eyes
- White Body, Red sash
- Carries a Blue Trident Staff

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 18000
Noticeable Drops: Level 25 and 30 Armor Sets, Venom Dagger, Light Staff, Earth
Staff, Leaf Sabre

Elven Priests are the healers of the Elves. Their healing magic is not that
good, as it may seem. Elven Priests heal for about 600, but compared to their
health, it is not that useful. The best part about their heal is that it heals
all enemy NPCs in the level.

Although they have more HP than Elven Mages, they do less damage, and should
be able to be handled at the same level.

While the Elven Priests are healing, you can easily deal more damage to them
than they can heal for. Their casting time is a great window of opportunity
to fight at. You can even try to heal while they are healing.

Elven Priests are in the same Location as Elven Magi.

===============================]
Level 25 - 29 The Elven Warrior|
===============================]

Elven Warriors are the melee fighters of the Elves, along with the Elven
Bladeweavers. They are as difficult as Elven Priests and Elven Magi due to
their strong melee attack.

Appearance:
- Green Haired Elf Head, Green Eyes
- Green Body, Dark Green Sash
- Carries a Venom Dagger

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 21500
Noticeable Drops: Level 25 and 30 Armor Sets, Venom Dagger, Light Staff, Earth
Staff, Leaf Sabre

Elven Warriors fight with a melee style. They have a couple more thousand
health than the Elven spellcasters, and a consistent amount of damage.
They can be troublesome to fight.

Not much to say about Elven Warriors since they have no skills and are quite a
simple fighter.

Elven Warriors are in the same location as Elven Magi.

===================================]
Level 26 - 30 The Elven Bladeweaver|
===================================]

Elven Bladeweavers are the toughest fighters out of all the elves.
Bladeweavers have an impressive amount of health and damage. And of course,
they have the highest drop rate for all items.

Appearance:
- Green Haired Elf Head, Green Eyes
- Green Body, Dark Green Sash
- Carries a Leaf Sabre

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 23500
Noticeable Drops: Level 25 and 30 Armor Sets, Venom Dagger, Light Staff, Earth
Staff, Leaf Sabre

Elven Bladeweavers are melee styled, like Elven Warriors. They can be very
frustrating for those who just started to fight elves. I have been killed
countless times because of Bladeweavers and my stubborn attitude.

Bladeweavers have a technique, where they dash around you very quickly. This
means that you should always have them selected. If Bladeweavers aren't
targetted while you're fighting them, you may not be quick enough to kill
them.

This dashing technique can be used from far away, and in just moments they'll
be right behind you. Fighting Bladeweavers is very annoying, but after a while
you should get used to their style.

Elven Bladeweavers are in the same location as Elven Magi.

==============================]
Level 29 - 35 The Green Dragon|
==============================]

Green Dragons look like the original Graal monsters, Lizardons and Lizardon
Dragons. These Green Dragons are huge beasts that deal a lot of damage. They
have more health than Elves and do much more damage.

Appearance:
- Huge Green Dragon Head, Red Eyes
- Green Lizard Body, Dragon Tail
- Uses Claws as weapon

Body Figure: Large
Health: 26000
Noticeable Drops: None

Green Dragons blow huge gusts of fire at their target. Their flaming gusts
produce a hideous dragon noise. Green Dragons have a lot of health, and may
take a few more levels past 29.

From fighting the Elven Bladeweavers, you should have some training against
monsters with generally more health. It may take the full power of two or more
players to kill a Green Dragon.

Green Dragons are a bit slow, so you will be able to run away and heal
yourself, or get away nimbly without them fighting you. The area of the Green
Dragon will also help you escape, as the Green Dragons will constantly run
into walls or bump into other things. Use this to your advantage.

Check the Locations section on how to get to the Green Dragons. (Dragon Cave)

============================]
Level 31 - 36 The Red Dragon|
============================]

Red Dragons are the enhanced version of Green Dragons. With more power, health
and more critical hits, Red Dragons are much harder than Green Dragons.
Although they both have a similar fighting technique, there are more Red
Dragons compacted together.

Appearance:
- Huge Red Dragon Head, Green Eyes
- Red Lizard Body, Dragon Tail
- Uses Claws as weapon

Body Figure: Large
Health: Around 29000
Noticeable Drops: Level 30 Armor Sets

Red Dragons are hideous creatures, with almost one hit KO attacks. When
fighting these guys, remember to use the cave environment to your advantage.
While in the Dragon Cave, do not venture too far or you may find yourself
fighting a Red Dragon Advanced or Abraxas. Both of those monsters are
considered bosses (although Red Dragon Advanced can be killed at level 31).

When I faught Red Dragons, I died constantly, so if you find yourself dieing a
lot, it's alright. Red Dragons should give you 520 experience for a few
levels, which is long enough until you can start partying in the Ogres.

Unlike Green Dragons, Red Dragons actually drop something, making them better
for profit. Make sure that if you're selling an item, sell it to players as
vending these items to NPCs will only get you about 1500 gold.

Red Dragons are in the same location as Green Dragons.

===============================]
Level 32 - 37 The Volcano Spawn|
===============================]

Volcano Spawns are enhanced versions of Fire Spawns. They have a relatively
similar difficulty level, as they both hit quite hard. Volcano Spawns are
one of the best monsters to fight, terrain wise, as the Myralis Volcano has
a lot more space than most areas.

Appearance:
- Red Demon-Like Head, Green Eyes
- Completely Dark Red
- Carries a Black Crystal Sword

Body Figure: Normal
Health: 28500
Noticeable Drops: Level 30 - 35 Armor Sets

Volcano Spawns seem to have a lot of health, but their attack is not that
considerable. Volcano Spawns will chase you into the lava, as the lava in
Myralis Dungeon does not reset monster's aggro. Watch out if you're going
to fight Pyralis, because a LOT of Volcano Spawns will aggro if you
run directly to Pyralis.

Occasionally, Volcano Spawns will throw fireballs, but they'll mainly use
their sword to fight you.

Fighting Volcano Spawns is a bit easier than Dragons, and you'll probably
be able to level faster, as there seems to be more. The drops on Volcano
Spawns seem to be a bit worse than Red Dragons, but they still drop some good
level 30 - 35 stuff.

Check the Locations Section on how to get to Volcano Spawns (Myralis Volcano).

========================]
Level 38 - 50 Ogre Brute|
========================]

Ogre Brutes are huge, and much more hideous creatures than Dragons. They have
oen of the strongest melee attack from a NPC enemy in the game at the moment.
Almost one in four attacks from an Ogre Brute is a critical hit, making them
extremely difficult opponents for frail spellcasters. Their HP is much greater
than Red Dragons, plus Ogre Brutes have a much higher attack power.

Appearance:
- Huge Beige Head, One Red Eye
- Overwhelming Muscular Body
- Carries a Club

Body Figure: Large
Health: 60000
Noticeable Drops: Level 35 - 40 Armor Sets

Ogre Brutes are some of the toughest creatures in Zodiac, with an amazing
amount of unrivaled attack. In the Evil Ogre Dungeon, there are a lot of Ogres
compacted together, all within a very small aggro range.

Fighting Ogre Brutes one on one is even quite difficult. Even some level 50s
may have trouble fighting a series of Ogre Brutes. A lot of the time, in a
turn of events for a battle, Ogre Brutes can unleash a few critical hits in
a row, usually KOing most people.

When fighting in the Ogre Dungeon, if you're below level 40, you'll need a
party to survive fighting these guys. But, of course, Ogres drop the best
equipment in the game, easily making up for their difficulty. Ogre Brutes
will last you until level 50, so you'll have plenty of time to create a good
strategy against them.

Note: Yen recently thought they were originally too easy and doubled their
health/power.

Check the Locations section to find out where Ogre Brutes are (Evil Ogre
Dungeon).

=========================]
Level 38 - 50 Ogre Caster|
=========================]

The other monster in the Evil Ogre Dungeon is the Ogre Caster. Ogre Casters
use some magic, but also use a lot of melee fighting. Both of their styles of
fighting are very good.

Appearance:
- Huge Beige Head, White Hat, One Red Eye
- Overwhelmeing Muscular Body
- Carries a purple coloured gem staff

Body Figure: Large
Health: 58000
Noticeable Drops: Level 35 - 40 Armor Sets

Ogre Casters are one of the first monsters to combine vicious magic attacks
and hardcore melee. You'll see them using their magic in the first few
attacks, but after, they'll rush towards you and start striking you.

Likewise to Ogre Brutes, Casters have a lot of criticals. Unlike other
spellcaster monsters, Ogre Casters have three spells; fireball, bolt and
chill. You'll see them most likely opening off with a chill, followed by
a series of fireballs.

I would try fighting these guys before Ogre Brutes, as they do not have AS
much criticals than Brutes. In the Evil Ogre Dungeon, there is a lot of
water, so if you're on low you can easily run into the water to prevent
getting killed.

Note: Yen recently thought they were originally too easy and doubled their
health/power.

Ogre Casters are in the same location as Ogre Brutes.

 [---------------------------Bosses----------------------------]

Well, if you've gotten to level 50 and feel that you need to play Zodiac to
its fullest, you should try killing all the bosses. About half the bosses out
there can be killed at an earlier level. Also, me not being level 50 prevents
me from killing all the bosses. I have killed most on this list, and they
should be approached in a party.

This list is growing, as lots of bosses are still being released. Also, the
health of the bosses are usually unknown and will not be included.

==================]
The Crocodile King|
==================]

The Crocodile King lives among the Crocodiles and is definitely the easiest
boss in the game. He does more damage than crocodiles, but can be easily
soloed at Level 20.

Appearance:
- Giant Green Horned Head, With Crown, Red Eyes
- Completely Green
- Carries a Battle Axe

Body Figure: Large
Noticeable Drops: Club

The Crocodile King has a couple thousand more health than Crocodiles. At level
20, you can probably kill it without taking much damage. It has the health of
about a level 20 monster.

This boss is located in the very last room of the Crocodile Lair. The
Crocodile King is in a room with several other crocodiles. As soon as you step
into the room, two Ravenous Crocodiles will attack you.

If you plan to approach the Crocodile King at level 10, when you're fighting
crocodiles, clear out the room first. When the room only has the Crocodile
King, get ready to fight. You'll only need two people to pull it off, it'll
be fighting like two crocodiles. This may be difficult, and in most
situations, if you kill him, one person will be dead.

===================]
Kyess, Flame Master|
===================]

Kyess is the master of the Fire Spawns. He resides in the Fire Dungeon and
is guarded by several Fire Spawns. He has a similar layout to the Crocodile
King. Kyess has a decent amount of HP, and cannot be soloed until about the
late 20s.

Appearance:
- Masked Fire Head, Red Eyes
- Black Body
- Carries a Black Crystal Sword

Body Figure: Normal
Noticeable Drops: Weak Fire Core, Smoldering Rings of Stats

Kyess is on the left wing of the Fire Dungeon in the last room. Fighting Kyess
will be similar to the Crocodile King, except that Kyess is much tougher. He
has a stronger attack and more health.

If you try to kill him at level 15, when you're fighting Fire Spawns, you'll
have to bring a party of a few. It should be organized, having a main tank
and a healer. If you fight him as a 15 party, the Fire Spawns may respawn when
you're fighting Kyess. It's wise to bring a higher level player.

================]
Master Thalidion|
================]

Although Master Thalidion does not give that much experience, he is quite a
difficult fighter. He has lots of EXP, and probably can not be killed until
the high level 30s.

Appearance:
- Green Headbanded Head, Black Eyes
- Green Plate Body, Brown Legs
- Carries a grayish metal sword

Body Figure: Normal
Noticeable Drops: Moth Silk Set

Master Thalidion has a great deal of HP, with enough damage to kill even some
level 30s. He has a lot of Hex Soldiers around him, and you'll have to knock
off most of them to get to him. Thlaidion is probably the hardest boss yet.

He is located in the Hex Dungeon and seems to drop Moth Silk. Thalidion holds
a grayish metal sword like the Hex Soldiers. He uses melee attack only,
without any magic like the Hex Broods. Fighting him should be interesting
as he can prove to be a challenge.

================]
The Ninja Master|
================]

The Ninja Master is the first boss to drop something considerably good. He
is often camped, and drops a Ruby Katana, which is a prized weapon for lots
of level 30 Ninjas. Getting to him is probably the most secretive.

Appearance:
- Red Ninja Head, Black Eyes
- Red Ninja Body
- Carries a Ruby Katana

Body Figure: Normal
Noticeable Drops: Ruby Katana

The Ninja Master is usually dead, as a lot of people are usually camping him.
His respawn time is about 10 to 15 minutes, so if you're waiting for him to
respawn, you might have to wait a while. He has a decent amount of HP, and is
considered harder than Master Thalidion.

He is in his own tree compartment, that is filled with an array of ninjas. All
of the other ninjas are usually hiding behind lamps, but are obviously seen.
When you step into the room, three ninjas should start fighting you, if you're
trying to solo The Ninja Master, these ninjas should be nothing to you. If you
do try to solo The Ninja Master, you should be high level 30s.

He is located around the Freeport Fort, check the Locations Section for
directions (Outlaw Dungeon).

=======]
Pyralis|
=======]

Pyralis is in the Myralis Volcano, he has a pretty strong attack, and you'll
need a party to pull this off. He drops some alright items and isn't that
tough.

Appearance:
- Red Dragon Helmet Head, Black Eyes
- Red Vest Suit
- Carries a glowing fire sword

Body Figure: Normal
Noticeable Drops: Fire-oriented weapons

Pyralis is an above average difficult boss. He can be handled at the level you
would handle Volcano Spawns, but you'll still have to bring a party. The party
should be organized, with a proper tank and healer. I'm not 100% sure on what
he drops as I havn't fought him too many times.

To start, go to Myralis Volcano, check the Locations Section for help. He's
in the middle-up area of the volcano. From the top, just kill any monsters
that you aggro, but keep moving up. Eventually, you should see a platform with
several Myralis Guardians on the perimeter.

In the middle of the platform should be Pyralis. First of all, don't try
killing the Myralis Guardians, as they respawn in seconds. Just try to find an
area where you don't aggro them. Send the tank to Pyralis, and have him run to
the bottom left corner of the platform.

Everyone else should be in the bottom left corner, too, as that's the best
spot to avoid all the aggro from other monsters. Pyralis has two main attacks,
a fireball attack and a melee attack. Like most other monsters, his fireball
attack isn't as good as his melee.

After a while, he should die if you guys have an organized party.
Congratulations for killing Pyralis.

=============]
Goblin Karegu|
=============]

The Goblin Karegu is the first boss that you'll need a party for. He's also
harder than some other bosses with more health, as you have to fight him in
a small place. He is surrounded by lots of goblins, with a VERY large aggro
range.

Appearance:
- Green Deformed Head, Wears a crown, Red Eyes
- Brown Rags
- Carries a Scepter

Body Figure: Slightly Bigger, Normal when dead.
Noticeable Drops: Smiter of Pi, Hypocrisy, Death Axe, Buster Sword, Other high
level equipment

You will not be able to tackle the Karegu even if you have a full level 25
party. Unlike Goblin Berserkers, you'll have to have at least one level 40 -
50, who should be the tank. Next, you'll probably need two healers and someone
who can pull the Goblin Karegu from out of all the goblins.

He drops some great stuff, but has a lot of attacks that can kill an entire
party in one shot.

To fight him, check the Locations Section, his location is combined with the
Goblin Hut location.

Once you're in the cave, fight through all of the goblins and just keep going
through the levels. You'll be on land after you go through the caves, and go
up to a building. Inside the building, take the left door. You can choose to
either run through all the goblins, or kill them. Note that they respawn very
quickly.

After a few rooms, you'll see the Goblin Karegu. Have everyone at full health
before tackling him. Once ready, get someone to pull him and then put the tank
on him. Remember to bring him close to the door, or else the other goblins
will attack you. Bring him as close to the door as you can. Have one healer in
the top left corner above the door, and one below the door.

Have your healers just keep beaming health to the tank. It can take a
while, but once he gets to low health, he'll start doing area attacks. Once
he starts doing the area attacks, make sure your healers use group heal. If
someone else catches aggro, just make that person go outside.

Once he's dead, he'll probably drop one or two good weapons. Congratulations
for killing the Goblin Karegu!

=======]
Abraxas|
=======]

Abraxas is perhaps the hardest boss in Zodiac, currently. He has a legendary
amount of HP, and takes a lot of patience. Once you have the pattern down,
Abraxas will be a lot easier. He is also HUGE, much bigger than most monsters.

Appearance:
- Huge Black Dragon Head
- Towering Black Lizard Body
- Uses Claws/Wings as weapon

Body Figure: Huge
Noticeable Drops: Twin Blade, Ogre Staff

There is a rumor that Abraxas drops two amazing items, that both have a very
low percentage. If you're trying to get these weapons, good luck as they both
are about a 1% drop rate.

Likewise to the Goblin Karegu, you need a high level healer and tank. The tank
should have a lot of armor, and some back up potions. It is wise to have more
than one healer. You won't have to worry about any other aggro monsters, as
Abraxas is far away from the Red Dragons. Unless you pull him far from where
he spawns, aggro should not be a problem.

Getting to Abraxas takes a while, but he is in the Dragon Cave. He is in the
farthest possible location that you can go to. The easiest way to get there is
have one tank run all the way through, taking all the red dragons. When you
get in the Abraxas region, let the tank die. Then, have a healer ressurect the
tank.

The best layout to fight him is have one tank, three dpsers, and two healers.
You really only need two people to pull this off, but it is VERY risky and
both need to be at a high level.

Most likely, if people see you fighting Abraxas, they'll try to help, which is
always a plus.

When fighting him, you'll see he has three main attacks. He has a strong
fireball, which only hits the tank. Then he has a spraying fireball attack,
where he spits out about five fireballs in front of him. Because of this,
the healer should be behind or to the side of Abraxas, still in healing range
of the tank.

Abraxas has a ton of HP, so it'll take about 10 minutes with a three person
party. If the healer runs of out of MP, your best bet is to have the tank
run around the room while the healer is sitting. Once the healer has a good
deal of MP, start fighting again.

Congratulations if you kill Abraxas, for he is the hardest boss i've killed
so far.

 [=============================================================]
 | <>               =Locations=                  <<6.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

Throughout my time on any game, I always hear a lot of questions concerning
"Where" or "How do I get to". The purpose of this section is to list
some important locations, such as dungeons or stores. And of course, there
is an explanation of how to get to that certain point.

This section is divided into landmark locations, such as stores or quest
spots. The other section is dungeons.

Note that I did not list the Hybrid class locations, as those locations are in
the Classes section.

 [----------------------Landmark Locations---------------------]

Landmark Locations are very important when scheduling trades or giving
directions. Several of these landmark locations are basic places, that every
Zodiac player should be familiar with. They are listed in alphabetical order
for viewing convenience.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                      Central Weapon Shop
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

The Central Weapon Shop carries the most basic buyable weapons in Zodiac. Just
from exploring, you should be able to find this building. The outside of this
building is symboled with a sword-crossing icon on the entrance.

This Weapon Shop will probably sell you your weapons for the first few levels.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path right. Follow it past the blue
bridge and keep going down it. Sometime after you keep walking down the path,
to the right of you should be a building with the sword-crossing icon.

Follow the looping stone path into the building.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                           Drawde Port
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

The Drawde Port is on another island, left of Escalus. This ship is needed to
get to the Elves and will be used as an important landmark.

From outside of the OSL, go down the stone path to the golden tri-bridge. Keep
taking it down and walk down the stairs of the golden tri-bridge. You should
be in a watery/marsh landscape. From the stairs, keep walking left until you
start swimming. Keep swimming north-west. You're on the right track you see a
port building. The port building should have a blue fish-man on the outside.

Swim past this building going left. Keep going left and go down when you hit
the island. You should see a golden port, with some ship-like buildings.
Swim on the perimeter of the port until you find an entrance to land.

You should be at a port, and there should be a man on this port that asks you
to buy a ticket to Elmdale.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                           Druid Farm
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

I have already written a guide to get here, since the Assassin Trainer is at
the Druid Farm. Check the Hybrid Classes section to get to the Druid Farm
(Assassin Trainer).

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                    Escalus' Equipment Stores
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

In Zodiac, there is a chain of stores that sell generally low level gear.
Instead of giving the directions to each indiviual store, I put them all down
as the same area, because they are all quite close to eachother. Each store
has its own sign, so it is easy to seperate stores from eachother.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going right. Take it across the
blue bridge and keep following the stone path, ignoring the buildings. At the
first intersection, go south-east. You'll pass by a "Welcome to Escalus" sign.

The stone path will split into a dirt path, follow the dirt path. Keep
following the dirt path, ignoring the next stone path (going down). After a
while, you'll pass a blue bridge. After the blue bridge, take the first stone
path going down you see.

If you keep going down the stone path, you'll see a building next to you that
has a sign of a piece of armor. That's an equipment store. Everywhere around
that general area has shops that sell equipment and a store that even sells
potions.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                       Elmdale Fishing Hut
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

The Elmdale Fishing Hut is the Fishing Hut on Elmdale. This fishing hut sells
bait and the Large Fishing Rod.

To get there, go to Elmdale Port. From Elmdale port, walk up until you get off
the port. As soon as the port bridge ends, go left until you find a stone
path. Follow the stone path, and at the first intersection, take up the upper
path. At the next intersection, take the upper path again. Eventually, the
stone path will turn into a dirt path, but keep following the path.

At the fork in the road, take the right path and ignore the stone path into
the building. Instead, just keep to the dirt path. After a few moments of
walking, you'll walk into a water passage that leads into a pond. Go right
and swim across the pond. On the other side of the pond is a hut, with a fish
sign in the window. This building is the Elmdale Fishing Hut.

Inside, there will be no person, but if you walk up to the counter, there will
be a sign to buy a heavy fishing rod, that costs 500g. For the heavy fishing
rod, it costs 5g to buy 20 bait, as you need bait for heavy fishing. To learn
how to fish, visit the professions section.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                          Elmdale Port
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

Elmdale Port is where you are landed after you take the ship to Elmdale.
Elmdale Port is located on Elmdale, and acts as the ship to Drawde.

To get there, just go to the Drawde Port (listed below), and buy a ticket/get
on the boat.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                       Escalus Fishing Hut
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

The Escalus Fishing Hut is the Fishing Hut closer to the OSL. From outside of
the OSL, take the stone path down to the golden tri-bridge. Take the exit
going right from the golden tri-bridge. Follow the stone path from the
end of the golden tri-bridge. At the first intersection, go south-east. Keep
walking down the south-east road until the road splits into a dirt path.

Take the dirt path going right. You should see a "Welcome to Escalus" sign on
this dirt road. There will be a time when the path splits into a stone path,
do not take this path, continue on the dirt path. Follow the dirt path until
you reach the blue bridge. Then walk down, following the golden steps.
Eventually you should see a blue building, with red windows.

The blue building is the Fishing Hut, inside is a guy who sells you a fishing
rod. To learn how to fish, visit the Professions section.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        The Zodiac Mine
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

THe Zodiac Mine is the only place you can mine on Zodiac. It is very close to
the OSL. Mining is a great source of money for those with a lot of time. Even
if you do not mine, it is good to know where this location is.

From the OSL, walk right, past the OSL building. Then walk up, you should see
an opening in the side of a cliff wall. The cliff wall is right behind another
building. The opening in this cliff leads to the Zodiac Mine. Inside is a man,
who sells a Pick Axe. To learn how to mine, visit the Professions section.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                    Online Starting Location
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

Ah, the Online Start Location, every game and every server has one of these.
This is the area that all new players (outside of the Tutorial) start at. It
is also the building that you are warped to when you use unstick me.

If you EVER have trouble location this place, just say 'unstick me', and
you'll be warped there.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                         Trainer House
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

Whatever class you are, if you wish to get new skills, you'll have to visit
the trainer house at least some time. The Trainer House has the 6 basic-
class trainers. You'll have to visit these trainers in order to get skills.

Remember that for hybrid classess, trainers are scattered throughout Zodiac.

From the OSL, take the stone path going left. At the first intersection, go up
and keep walking when the stone path turns into a dirt path. Keep walking
and walk around the tree. Keep following the dirt path and avoid the cave
entrance. Right of the cave should be a building with a pink chimbney on it.
This is the Trainer House.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        Woodcutting Shop
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

Woodcutting is one of the three professions of Zodiac, to start woodcutting,
you'll need to go here.

From the Ship to Drawde, walk up, until you get off the port. As soon as the
port ends, take a left, and you'll see a building with an axe symbol on it.
This building is the woodcutting shop. Inside is a man who sells you an axe.

To learn how to chop wood, visit the Professions section.

 [----------------------Monster Dungeons-----------------------]

Wherever there is a Monster or Enemy NPC, that place is considered a Monster
Dungeon. There are a lot of Monster Dungeons scattered over Zodiac, but the
ones listed only list the ones that have the best kind of monsters-to-level
experience.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        Cave of Liches
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

=============================]
Monsters: Baby Liches, Liches|
=============================]

The first location for monster is called the Cave of Liches (named by me). The
Cave of Liches is much more reclusive than the Lich-Infested House.

Start your walking from the OSL. I will use the OSL as a landmark several
times, when describing locations. Every time you die or use 'unstick me',
you will be warped inside this building. This location is pretty central when
it comes to Zodiac Geography.

From there, go down, past the golden port-tri bridge and take a right. When
the golden bridge stops, a bit below your character, you should three see
bushes. Slash downwards through them, and continue down the seemingly hidden
path. After walking through trees and past mushrooms for about two levels, you
should see a small cave.

Inside this cave is Location #1 for Baby Liches and other beginner monsters.

If you went the right way, you should end up in a cave, where the first level
has a few miners.

This is the Cave of Liches and home to the most abudant location for all kinds
of Liches.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                      Lich-Infested House
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

===============================================]
Monsters: Baby Liches, Liches, Dragon Guardians|
===============================================]

The second location is very close to the Cave of Liches. The Lich-Infested
House is marked on your map and is more crowded than the Cave of Liches.

Not only is it marked on your map, but there are talking NPCs outside of the
house to help you locate this house.

From the OSL, walk down to the golden port-tri bridge and take a right. Keep
walking down the stone path and take the first down you can. By now you should
see a house with a girl sitting in front of it. To verify your location, press
M to bring up the Map. If you are close to the X that says Lich-Infested
House, you are there!

Inside is a guy that explains that the basement to the house has lots of
monsters. Behind that guy is a bed. Beds are very useful for regenerating
health, and help you regenerate health much more than sitting. At first, you
may need to frequently use the bed after killing monsters.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        Crocodile's Lair
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

============================================]
Monsters: Crocodile Men, Ravenous Crocodiles|
============================================]

======================]
Bosses: Crocodile King|
======================]

The Crocodile's Lair is the dungeon where Crocodile Men and Ravenous
Crocodiles roam. Alone, it will be quite difficult to locate the directions
to get here. The Crocodile's Lair is in the general area of the OSL, not very
far from the Weapon's Shop and Fire Dungeon.

There are two ways to get to the Crocodile's Lair, both are hard to describe.
The first is a short cut, and is a much more convenient path.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going right and continue across
the blue bridge that crosses over water. Instead of continuing down the
stone path, keep walking right. You should see a group of about 7 or 8
bushes, cut through them all and go right through a path that presses
against a cliff. It appears that you can't walk through, but the trees have
hollow shrubery.

If you keep walking right, you should see a cliff that jumps into water.
At the end of the cliff should be two waterfalls. One waterfall goes into a
small puddle on the land. The other one leads into a river. Jump off the cliff
going right and go up into that waterfall.

You should be in a grassy area with marshes and some puddles. This is the
prime location for crocodiles. Deeper into the lair, you'll see Ravenous
Crocodiles,that carry clubs.

The second of the two paths to the Crocodile's Lair takes a much longer time,
and therefore, I will not list it.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                          Fire Dungeon
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

=====================]
Monsters: Fire Spawns|
=====================]

The Fire Dungeon has two main things that people would go there for. The
first is to fight the Fire Spawns, while the second is the Summoner Trainer.
This place is filled with Fire Spawns, with not much room for anything else.
One room right of the entrance and then one room up is the Summoner Trainer.

Getting to the Fire Dungeon is easier than accessing the Crocodile's Lair.
It is in a general location, not far from the OSL.

Starting from the OSL, go down the stone path and to the golden tri-bridge.
Take a right on the bridge and continue to follow the stone path. Continue the
stone path and go down at your first opportunity. Go right on your first
opportunity to intersect into the dirt path. Keep going right past the Escalus
Sign. At the first corner of the dirt path, you should see a few bushes next
to a building.

Past the bushes, you should see an opening into a forested opening. Plow
through the bushes and walk into the opening.

The light effects should be a densed and, it should appear as though you are
in a cave. You'll see Fire Spawns everywhere, which are monsters dressed in
red.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                         The Grave Yard
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

===========================================]
Monsters: Lesser Vampires, Ancient Vampires|
===========================================]

The Grave Yard is the farthest monster dungeon so far. The path there leads
off of Escalus Island, meaning you'll have to swim to get there. Although far,
fighting vampires is definitely worth it.

From Drawde Port, walk off of the port, and keep going up. Follow the stone
path until your first intersection opportunity to go left. Go left and
follow the lower path, you should see a sign. When you touch it, it should
say "Grave Yard". This means you're in the right place.

Walk across all the marsh and gravestones. In the north west part of the area
of gravestones is a door. This door leads to the actual dungeon of The Grave
Yard.

Inside here are Lesser Vampires and Ancient Vampires.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        The Hex Dungeon
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

==================================]
Monsters: Hex Broods, Hex Soldiers|
==================================]

==================]
Bosses: Master Hex|
==================]

The Hex Dungeon is on the same island as the Grave Yard. However, it is a
longer walk. There are three entrances to the same place, and they all have
the exact same monsters. One is a shorter path, and less crowded, which is the
one I will be describing.

From the sign that says Grave Yard, take the stone path up and follow it,
avoiding the paths into houses or buildings. The path will eventually branch
off into two main paths. The one going up will lead into a red-gate looking
thing. Take that path going up. Follow the path until you see another
intersection.

Again, take the path going up. Continue going down this path
until you see a stump at a corner of the stone path. Keep walking up and past
the stump. Keep walking past the stump, and you should see an entrance in the
cliff. This entrance leads to the Hex Dungeon.

Inside this cave is the Hex Dungeon, home of the Hex Broods and Hex Soldiers.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                       The Cisris Dungeon
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

=======================================================================]
Monsters: Elven Magi, Elven Priests, Elven Warriors, Elven Bladeweavers|
=======================================================================]

To get to the Cisris Dungeon you must go to Drawde Port. The Cisris
Dungeon has a large amount of Elves, all which are fairly hard to fight.
Elves drop the most amount of equipment that you've seen yet, making them
a great monster to fight for a while. Elves will last you a while, but
fighting them will be tough without a party.

From Drawde Port, go to the man sitting behind a counter. He will ask you
if you'd like to buy a ticket. Say "Buy Ticket" to buy a ticket. Now, walk
left across the bridge to the ship. Go into the door next to the
guy.

After a few moments, you'll be warped out of another ship. You are now in
Elmdale. This ship looks identical to the other one, but is in a different
location. Walk across the bridge to the port, and keep walking up the port.
When the bridge ends, go left onto the stone/grass. Walk onto the stone path,
and at the intersection, go up. Walk up until you see a fort entrance. As soon
as you can, go left down a narrow path. You'll have to cut down a bush to get
past.

Keep walking left and you'll walk under the fort-wall. Now that you are on the
other side of the fort wall, look up and there should be an opening in the
trees. This opening leads to the Cisris Dungeon.

Inside this cave you will find Elven Magi, Elven Priests, Elven Warriors,
Elven Bladeweavers and the Druid Trainer.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                           Goblin Hut
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

=================================================]
Monsters: Goblin Stonecrushers, Goblin Berserkers|
=================================================]

The Goblin Hut is very close to the OSL, but is not on the main island. It is
a very short swim, but is usually not discovered because of the small island
it is on.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going down to the golden tri-
bridge. Take the stairs going down the golden tri-bridge. You'll now be on a
grassy-marsh area, around water. Walk left until you start swimming, and keep
swimming left. After a few moments, start going gradually lower, and you
should bump into an island, or at least see the top of the island. The island
should have a wooden-fence looking hut, kind of like a stronghold.

Swim around to the entrance of the island and walk into the hut. This is the
Goblin Hut, there should be goblins with golden-axe looking weapons around.

This area is VERY cramped, and will be hard to getting used to. It is
suggested that if you are not a long ranged class, that you party with someone
who is.

Inside this hut you will find Goblin Stonecrushers and Goblin Berserkers.

Also, there is another goblin dungeon west of the goblin hut. To get
there, go outside of the goblin hut, and off the island. Swim a for a few
seconds going left, and you should see a water-opening in the cliff. Inside
there are more goblins, but watch out for there are higher level goblins
there. And, at the end of this goblin dungeon is the Goblin King, who is one
of the high level bosses in Zodiac.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                          Dragon Cave
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

==================================================]
Monsters: Dragon Whelps, Green Dragons, Red Dragon|
==================================================]

===========================================================]
Bosses: Green Dragon Advanced, Red Dragon Advanced, Abraxas|
===========================================================]

The Dragon Cave is very close to the OSL, and is actually connected from the
inside OSL level. The Dragon Cave has a few bosses and lots of monsters,
mainly for level 15 - 20s and the higher level dragons for 30 - 35s.

From the starting point of the OSL level, go down the stairs
to your right. And go into the left door, which is the door closest to the
blue-haired man sitting down. You should now be in a cave, with a rock element
(for the Summoner quest) walking around. Walk left until you reach the middle
of the room, and go up, going into the next level upwards.

In this next level, you should see a miner next to a staircase, walk up this
staircase (the staircase is on the right hand side). From this level, just
walk down the cave-hallway going right. Now, in the middle of the next part of
the hallway is an entrance. This entrance leads to the Dragon Cave.

Inside the cave are Dragon Whelps, Green Dragons and Red Dragons for normal
monsters. The Green Dragon Advanced, Red Dragon Advanced and Abraxas are in
the Dragon Cave as well.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                       The Myralis Volcano
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

===========================================]
Monsters: Volcano Spawns, Myralis Guardians|
===========================================]

===============]
Bosses: Pyralis|
===============]

The Myralis Volcano is a great way to get experience at higher levels, as it
is usually very underpopulated, and has a lot of space for people to fight.
It is also reasonably close to the OSL. Watch out for the lava, though, as the
monster chasing you will still fight you in the lava.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going left, ignoring all the
entrances to buildings. At the fork in the road, go up. A few steps after, the
road will split into dirt and stone, take the dirt road. As soon as you walk
by the building to your left, go left to the cliff. You should be able to jump
off this cliff.

Shortly after you jump off, you'll see a pile of stones/rocks, with an
entrance. Go into the entrance and you'll be in Myralis Volcano. This place
looks very similar to the Fire Dungeon, even the monsters!

Pyralis, a boss that drops some very good equipment is in the Myralis Volcano.

 [-------------------------------------------------------------]
                        Evil Ogre Dungeon
 [-------------------------------------------------------------]

===================================]
Monsters: Ogre Brutes, Ogre Casters|
===================================]

The Evil Ogre Dungeon is on an island north of the mainland. It's annoying to
go there every time you die, which can be quite frequent. Even if you find the
island by yourself, finding the actual dungeon can be difficult. It is closest
to the Myralis Volcano, and I will use the Myralis Volcano as a landmark.

From outside of the Myralis Volcano, go left, and swim clockwise around the
mainland. Keep swimming around the perimeter of the land until you see a gray
building on the land, with some soldier-esque statues. From around that area,
swim northeast. Eventually, you'll bump into a port-bridge. Walk onto that
port-bridge, you'll see that it's like the golden tri-bridge, as it has an
up/right/left passage.

Anyway, go up the up passage and once you're off the port you'll be on a
stone path. Just keep following the stone path, and ignore the first split
path you see (the left split path just goes to a building). A few steps after
will be another split path, take the right path. Stick on that path, and
continue to ignore the paths to houses. You'll pass through two wooden walls
soon, and on the very right to your screen should be a cliff hole.

Jump into this cliff hole and you'll be in the Evil Ogre Dungeon. Note that
the way out is at the very end of the Dungeon. If you catch aggro when you
jump into the cliff hole, just swim into the water and the Ogres will stop
fighting you.

 [=============================================================]
 | <>	           =Classes=                   <<7.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

The wonder of any Class-Oriented MMORPG is the ability to delve into what
kind of character you choose to be. Especially in Zodiac, where you can take
the form and abilities of up to fourteen indiviual class types. The amazing
part about any class-picking game is the unique skills that each class
inherently has. Each class has its own fighting style and role in a party.

It is your personal decision on choosing a class, and that choice will
seriously change the type of fighting gameplay you have. You may enjoy to be
a magical spellcaster or a warrior tank. Some people may enjoy roleplaying a
certain class that goes well with the storyline of their character.

This section will give class tips and list the skills for all the basic
classes. I hope that, if you're trying to decide what class you'd like to be,
that this section helps you choose.

All classes will have information about their stat upgrades per level and
the classes they can become.

All skills listed will be in the following protocol.

====]
Name|
====]

Zodiac Description: The default description given by Zodiac.
Level Requirement: What level you have to be to get the skill.
Price: How much gold it costs to buy the skill.

My Thoughts: What I think about the skill.

 [--------------------------The Priest-------------------------]

A priest is the primary healer of any fundamental party. Priests act as
the people who restore the health of other party members. Healing is the main
talent of priests, but they can also use their holy magics as a weapon.

The background of any priest revolves around the spirit of holy magic. Zodiac
does not reveal any real history about Zodiac priests. However, all priests
in gaming history have generally worshipped a specific deity. Their deity
provides them with their ability to use holy magic.

As a priest, it is advised that you usually fight in parties instead of alone.
Since priests are mainly healers, most of their spells are not offensive.
And, even the ones that are, are not that great. If you want to solo a lot
as a priest, it would be difficult if you were a pure priest.

==================]
Skills for Priests|
==================]

Below are the skills for Priests. This list will change when the priest skills
change.

==========]
Minor Heal|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Heals an ally for a small amount.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: Minor Heal is going to be your primary healing spell for quite a
while. It's the basic healing spell, and can heal for a quite a bit. Overall
a very necessary spell in battles.

========]
Exorcise|
========]

Zodiac Description: Deals light damage to monsters.
Level Requirement: Level 4.
Price: 500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Exorcise is one of the only offensive spells a priest has. It's
not that good, but not that bad. You'll have to use it as a priest, if you
plan to become a pure priest.

========]
Recharge|
========]

Zodiac Description: Revives an ally from death.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 750 Gold.

My Thoughts: Recharge is another very necessary skill. Whenever a friend or a
party member dies, you'll need this skill to prevent walking from OSL. It's
very convenient, but takes a while to cast. Make sure there are no baddies
around when you use Recharge.

===================]
Blessing of Stamina|
===================]

Zodiac Description: Increases an ally's stamina.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 1000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Blessing of Stamina is very useful and increases your health for
quite a bit. That extra hp you get from Blessing of Stamina might save you in
some situations.

=======]
Restore|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Heals a group for a small amount.
Level Requirement: Level 10.
Price: 1500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Restore is very useful if everyone's at a low health. It is a
much better way to heal a group of people than indiviually using Minor Heal.

====================]
Blessing of Strength|
====================]

Zodiac Description: Increases an ally's strength.
Level Requirement: Level 12.
Price: 2000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Blessing of Strength's usefulness is dependant on your class.
This spell is unnoticeable if you're a spellcaster, but if you are a melee
class, Blessing of Strength can be lots of help.

=======]
Rebirth|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Revives the caster from death.
Level Requirement: Level 14.
Price: 3000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Rebirth is one of the most useful skills i've seen. It does
exactly what it describes and can easily change the odds of losing or winning
a very important battle.

=====================]
Blessing of Dexterity|
=====================]

Zodiac Description: Increases an ally's dexterity.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Blessing of Dexterity is similar to Blessing of Strength. Both
spells have varying usefulnesses. Blessing of Dexterity is most important for
the person taking the damage, because they will be able to dodge more attacks.

====]
Heal|
====]

Zodiac Description: Heals an ally for a decent amount.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Once you get Heal, you'll almost never have to use Minor Heal
again. It seriously improves the efficiency of your healing.

=============]
Energy Freeze|
=============]

Zodiac Description: Freezes a target in light energy.
Level Requirement: Level 24.
Price: 14000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Energy Freeze is quite similar to Ice Coffin. They both suspend
the target for a limited amount of time. Energy Freeze is best used to set
the target up for a big attack or to get away.

==========]
Revitalize|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Heals a group for a decent amount.
Level Requirement: Level 24.
Price: 15500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Revitalize is like a group version of Heal. It is extremely good,
and saves a lot of time and mana. Definitely one of the best party priest
spells. Will obviously replace restore, does wonders against some bosses that
do group damage.

======]
Revive|
======]

Zodiac Description: Revives an ally from death.
Level Requirement: Level 30.
Price: 18000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Revive does the same thing as Recharge, except gives them more
health. Useful if the person you're reviving is around enemies. It gives them
more time to escape, as they have more health. Very useful when fighting a
boss, and you can revive someone at fighting-capable health.

======]
Egress|
======]

Zodiac Description: Escapes party out of dungeons.
Level Requirement: Level 34.
Price: 21000 Gold.

My Thoughts: I've never found Egress to be that useful. In Graal, we have the
unstick me feature, and there is no penalty for death. Good if you want to get
out quickly (as you have to wait 30 seconds with unstick me).

==========]
Major Heal|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Heals an ally for a large amount.
Level Requirement: Level 38.
Price: 25000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Major Heal heals for an unrivalled amount of health. It can heal
lots of people to full in one or two heals. A great spell, that really defines
the power of priests. Remember to manage what heals you use, as wasting a
Major Heal on someone who only has a loss of 500 damage are unnecessary.

==========]
Lifestream|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Heals a group for a large amount.
Level Requirement: Level 42.
Price: 42000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Lifestream is the most impressive priest spell yet. Your entire
party will usually be at a very high health if you use this properly.
Spamming lifestream can eat away at your MP, though, so use it wisely. Amazing
for boss battles.

 [---------------------------The Mage--------------------------]

A Mage is the most potent spellcaster of offensive spells. The Zodiac Mage
is definitely an evoker of elements, and harnesses the ability to deal amazing
amounts of damage. In a party, the mage plays the role of dealing intense
damage to their target.

Mages study for their amazing spells and skills through intense research and
dedication to magic. Most mages are very serious about their works of art
and revere the power of magic with an utmost sense of pride.

Playing a mage is exceptionally fun, as you get to sometimes destroy targets
before they can even reach you. You will be able to kill enemies faster than
most classes, with the right spells. However, mages are quite frail and in a
result, can be killed very easily by melee rushers. In PVP, mages aren't as
good, because a lot of their spells can be easily dodged, with exception of
bolt.

================]
Skills for Mages|
================]

Below are the skills for Mages. This list will change when the Mage skills
change.

========]
Fireball|
========]

Zodiac Description: Throws a ball of fire.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: Fireball is a spell you'll be using for quite a while. It has a
high damage hit and will probably be the majority of the damage you do.

=====]
Chill|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Sends a blast of cold.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 750 Gold.

My Thoughts: Chill is really not that good, it deals a paling amount of damage
compared to Fireball. Chill's slowing effect can be useful, but is usually
overlooked.

==========]
Acid Blast|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Shoots armor-corroding acid.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 1000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Does weak damage, around the same damage level as Chill. It does
reduce the target's damage for a while, but is not that substantial.

====]
Bolt|
====]

Zodiac Description: Strikes an enemy with lightning.
Level Requirement: Level 10.
Price: 1500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Bolt does about the same damage as fireball. Although, it has a
cooldown, so it won't be your main source of damage. Bolt is great for pulling
monsters as it hits them from above, and has a decent range.

==========]
Blast Wave|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Wind Pushes nearby enemies back.
Level Requirement: Level 14.
Price: 3000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Blast Wave is quite effective when running away from enemies. As
it uses wind element magic to keep enemies from you, Blast Wave is not a
waste. Depending on how you use it, Blast Wave can be used quite
strategically.

==========]
Ice Coffin|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Encases the target in ice.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Ice Coffin uses the power of ice to stop the target from moving.
Likewise to Blast Wave, it can be used for getting away, or setting the target
for a more powerful attack.

========]
Wildfire|
========]

Zodiac Description: Emits a line of fire.
Level Requirement: Level 18.
Price: 6000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Wildfire uses the power of fireball, but increases damage and
range of attack. It is a quite impressive display, and devastating amount of
damage. Great for fighting more than one enemy.

=====]
Crush|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Drops a stone on the target.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: The first earth element spell for Mages. Crush is pretty good and
does a hefty sum of damage. I'd still use wildfire and fireball, though, as
crush is still not as good, in my opinion.

============]
Frozen Lance|
============]

Zodiac Description: Throws a lance of ice.
Level Requirement: Level 26.
Price: 14000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Frozen Lance is one of the coolest spells in the game, as it
looks quite impressive. Does a good deal of damage, and utilizes any water
affinity equipment that you have. Useful for pulling monsters

====]
Step|
====]

Zodiac Description: Teleports forwards a few steps.
Level Requirement: Level 28.
Price: 15500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Step is like the Ninja skill, Tataki Koto, as they both warp you
to a nearby location. Step is a useful skill, as you can warp through some
things and be able to travel faster. A must get mage skill if you plan on
being a pure mage.

=========]
Explosion|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Causes explosions in the area.
Level Requirement: Level 32.
Price: 20000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Explosion is an amazing spell, and is the first AoE spell that
mages can use. It is impressive as it usually hurts more than one person. If
properly used, you can kill a LOT of monsters consecutively, with a proper
healer. Using explosion like this profits in a good way to farm monsters.

=========]
Manasurge|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Makes a spell instant.
Level Requirement: Level 38.
Price: 25000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Manasurge is incredibly useful, as you can make a very long
spell be instant. Great if you have the revive ability, as you can instantly
revive someone, especially in boss battles. Good if you're under pressure
against a monster or just need another spell to cast.

=====]
Quake|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Creates a quake.
Level Requirement: Level 42.
Price: 42000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Another earth-element spell, Quake uses AoE damage and earth
affinity spell damage. Quake is quite fearsome, and is great for PvP. Quake
is great for camping some players around the OSL, but doing this is quite
cheap and annoying.

 [---------------------------The Monk--------------------------]

In Zodiac, Monks are the ones with the greatest amount of stamina. Following
traditional Monk-Fighting, they use their fists as their main weapon. Monks
can be quite skilled at fighting both players and NPCs.

Monks of Zodiac believe in the use of chakra and deep concentration. They
have strong ambitions and standards for themselves. Monks train their body
to the limit, using inner energy and their own body as a weapon. The purpose
of a Monk is to endure damage and deliver damage through natural ways.

Being a Monk is definitely a fulfilling thing to do. Monks have an amazing
amount of stamina and health, being the most apt tanks in Zodiac. No other
class can take the amount of damage that a monk can. When you progress in
levels as a Monk, you have the ability to restore some of your own energy.
Monks are amazing characters to solo as.

========================]
Stat Upgrades for a Monk|
========================]

Strength: 3.5

Dexterity: 2.5

Intelligence: 1.5

Stamina: 4

Luck: 0.5

========================]

========================]

Level 10 Monk + Level 10 Warrior = Gladiator

================]
Skills for Monks|
================]

Below are the skills for Monks. This list will change when the Monk skills
change.

============]
Fist Mastery|
============]

Zodiac Description: Increases damage done by fists.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: Fist Mastery is a very basic Monk spell. It follows the principle
of a Monk and increases your melee fighting skills.

==========]
Cobra Fist|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Cause poison effect.
Level Requirement: Level 4.
Price: 500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Cobra Fist is very effective in PvP, as poison is also a very good
curse. Poison works against all players, making Cobra Fist a versatile attack,
that will help you be better in PvP.

==========]
Tough Skin|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Hardened skin reduces damage.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 750 Gold.

My Thoughts: Tough Skin is a defense skill that helps Monks be better tanks.
Pretty good skill, and very necessary for Monks.

==========]
Tiger Claw|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Deals 2.5x damage.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 1000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Tiger Claw is one of those skills, where you can efficiently pull
off a lot of damage. Tiger Claw is easy to initiate and does a lot of damage,
which gets very noticeable and even more useful as your level progresses. Most
skills provide you with double damage, but the 2.5 damage makes this skill
that much better.

==========]
Earth Slam|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Stuns and damages nearby enemies.
Level Requirement: Level 10.
Price: 1500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Earth Slam can be quite a cheap move, as the stun can be very
annoying to players. Monks that spam Earth Slam using lag or glitches rake up
a lot of kills.

=====]
Focus|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Increases strength for a period of time.
Level Requirement: Level 12.
Price: 2500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Focus is a great monk buff, that should always be active.
Strength is extremely important to a monk, making focus an important skill
for monks. Focus is more important when fighting, because tanking does not
require as much strength.

==========]
Discipline|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Regenerates HP at a faster rate.
Level Requirement: Level 14.
Price: 3000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Discipline is quite a nifty skill, as it helps you take shorter
breaks inbetween fights. Having discipline lets you fight quicker and is
a great skill for impatient players.

===========]
Pigeon Peck|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Impairs target's speed and vision.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 5000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Pigeon Peck is a move that is best used when trying to run away
from a fight. Especially in PvP, when you're on low health, having your
opponent be obstructed by bad vision and slow speed is a plus for you.

======]
Chakra|
======]

Zodiac Description: Restores a portion of HP and MP.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Chakra is an amazing skill for Monks as it is their healing
ability. This skill helps Monks be one of the best classes for soloing.
Monks who properly use this can be good in both monster fighting and while
fighting players.

===========]
Dragon Fang|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Deals 3x fire damage.
Level Requirement: Level 24.
Price: 14000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Dragon Fang is an amazing attack, one of the best monk skills. 3x
amount of damage is amazing, and you can constantly use a combination of
Dragon Fang and Tiger Claw. But, the best thing is that it's also a Fire
Affinity spell, meaning if you have fire affinity equipment, you'll be doing
even more.

========]
Ki Blast|
========]

Zodiac Description: Shoots a ki blast.
Level Requirement: Level 28.
Price: 18000 Gold.

My Thoughts: This is one of the monk's only long ranged spells. You'll have to
use this for pulling while you're soloing monsters. It does a decent amount of
damage and should be a skill you get.

==========]
Body Throw|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Throws you at your target.
Level Requirement: Level 30.
Price: 20000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Body Throw is a cool attack, and a good skill. Being able to
throw your body in combat creates both a good amount of damage, and a fairly
humorous attack.

======]
Impact|
======]

Zodiac Description: Pushes back enemies with attacks.
Level Requirement: Level 34.
Price: 22500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Impact is an awesome skill, where you can pry enemies off of you
with damage. It's great for a headstart in a battle, or even running away.
Impact will help you knock back other players, and can get quite annoying to
the other player in PvP.

=======]
Ki Wave|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Damages all nearby enemies.
Level Requirement: Level 38.
Price: 28000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Ki Wave is an improved version of Ki Blast. It seems to do more
damage, and also hurts more than one person. You'll probably not want to use
this against monsters, as you'll aggro more than one monster. Great in PvP,
though, as you can evenly do damage to several players.

==============]
Perfect Strike|
==============]

Zodiac Description: Allows fists to do critical hits.
Level Requirement: Level 42.
Price: 42000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Some monks were complaining that they never got critical hits in
battle. Now, with Perfect Strike, you'll be able to fire off criticals, which
do a similar amount of damage to Tiger Claw. With Tiger Claw, Perfect Strike
and Dragon Fang, as a monk, you should be doing tons of damage.

 [---------------------------The Scout--------------------------]

The Scout is the Zodiac hunter or archer. Scouts use their ranged attacks
and bow skills as their main weapon. Focusing on both intense speed and
dexterity, Scouts rely on their innate swiftness to survive in combat.
Scouts serve as a damage class, shooting their enemies from afar.

Scouts are usually peaceful, aligned with nature and determined to save the
environment. Some scouts are purely empowered by the training of quick
reflexes on aiming skills.

Being a scout can be challenging at times, but is quite a simple role. In a
party, your main job will be helping kill the main target, pulling the target
or defending the healer. The scout's bow is an amazing weapon for pulling
far-away monsters. Scouts have decent armor, and have enough armor to survive
in PVP fights. Scouts can have some trouble with PVP, but with the proper
usage of skills can even defend themselves from ambushes.

Level 10 Scout + Level 10 Thief = Ranger

=================]
Skills for Scouts|
=================]

Below are the skills for Scouts. This list will change when the Scout skills
change.

==========]
Magic Shot|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Increases arrow damage.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: Magic shot is the skill Scouts will be using to do a higher
damage attack. As a lower leveled scout, you'll probably be using this a
lot.

======]
Sprint|
======]

Zodiac Description: Increases speed for a short time.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 1000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Sprint enhances the Scout's speed for a small amount of time.
It can be very helpful when getting away from enemies or retreating in
PVP.

===========]
Double Shot|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Shoots two arrows simultaneously.
Level Requirement: Level 12.
Price: 2000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Definitely a great skill. Double Shot can help you kill a monster
if you're both low on health. Sometimes Double Shot will get you a head start
on fighting in PVP.

=============]
Detect Hidden|
=============]

Zodiac Description: Marks any invisible people.
Level Requirement: Level 14.
Price: 3000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Detect Hidden is only useful against the few classes who can go
invisible. It's great in PVP for those somewhat-rare sitauations. You can make
those who are 'secretly' hiding look foolish and be very helpful in nation
wars.

=================]
Double Magic Shot|
=================]

Zodiac Description: Shoots two arrows with increased damage.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Double Magic Shot combines two great Scout skills. Double Magic
Shot will definitely cause a lot of damage to your target. This skill is
amazing against runners and most monsters.

==========]
Camouflage|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Blends in with the terrain.
Level Requirement: Level 18.
Price: 6000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Camouflage is a great skill to hide from enemies. If you have to
idle, or if you have to look away at your computer for a bit, and there are
no buildings nearby, it's best to use camouflage. Great for camping or waiting
for people to respawn.

===========]
Bow Mastery|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Increases bow damage.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Bow Mastery is a passive skill that is very noticeable in battle.
You will see that with Bow Mastery, your arrows will do more damage and be
much more effective.

=======]
Aim Bow|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Allows bow to be aimed with mouse.
Level Requirement: Level 24.
Price: 18000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Being able to use your mouse to aim is much better than normal.
As you can aim better, and you guide your mouse, rather than NPC shooting for
you, your aim will definitely be better. There is little skill required to
master using your mouse to aim.

===]
Spy|
===]

Zodiac Description: Shows an enemy's stats.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Spy is a sneaky skill that is best for analyzing monsters that
you've never faught before. Gets you good idea of what you're up against,
especially for some bosses. Spy would be very useful for making guides as
well, for you have the accurate information. The thief has this skill too.

===========]
Pathfinding|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Lets you move over tough terrain.
Level Requirement: Level 28.
Price: 15500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Pathfinding is an alright skill that allows Archers to run much
faster in most terrain than other classes. Pathfinding is very useful when
being chased by a large number of people, and also saves time, as you don't
have to cut down most bushes.

==============]
Piercing Arrow|
==============]

Zodiac Description: Arrows piece through armor.
Level Requirement: Level 32.
Price: 20000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Piercing Arrow is the best skill to get by armor, and does a
much more considerable amount of damage. As some classes are quite armor-
dependant, you'll see how much more damage you can pull of with piercing
arrow.

======]
Unveil|
======]

Zodiac Description: Brings the target out of stealth.
Level Requirement: Level 34.
Price: 23000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Unveil combined with proper use of Detect Hidden can take out
those clever thieves and ninjas that think they're hidden from everyone. Not
only is this incredibly useful in PvP, it will be an amazing defense skill
from ambushing thieves or ninjas.

=======]
Hawkeye|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Marks any invisible people.
Level Requirement: Level 36.
Price: 25000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Hawkeye automatically marks invisible people for you, preventing
you from having to keep using Detect Hidden. It's much more convenient and
adds to your defense to ambushes. A scout with hawkeye will be treasured in
nation wars.

==========]
Rapid Fire|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Sometimes shoots arrows faster.
Level Requirement: Level 38.
Price: 27500 Gold.

My Thoughts: It may not be noticeable all the time, but if you see two arrows
shoot quite close to eachother, you'll know it happened. Rapid Fire is a
passive skill that helps you do more damage quicker.

=============]
Fleet of Foot|
=============]

Zodiac Description: Increases speed of nearby allies.
Level Requirement: Level 40.
Price: 40000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Fleet of Foot is one of the only scout buffs, but it is a very
good one. Now, your party can keep up with you with the same speed as you.
Group buffs like these are wanted in nation wars, as wars rely on the
functioning as a group.

 [---------------------------The Thief--------------------------]

A thief is the sneakiest class in Zodiac, using their rogue-like perception as
their weapon. Using quick wit and nimble body, thieves are extremely capable
fighters. Thieves are not that adept at magic, but rather uses an extreme
power of blades and other weapons.

Thieves are conserved fighters, mainly independent fighters. They rely on
their own skills instead of their group's. Slow to trust others, thieves can
have quite dark intentions. At higher levels, thieves can alter their shape
so they can fake their own death. This skill is portrays the sneakiness of a
typical thief.

Thieves are very fun classes to play against monsters. Their 'mug' skill is
very useful for getting more money and keeps most thieves at a higher
income than other classes. Thieves can also use their 'steal' skill to
obtain items that other classes may not. Thieves are one of the fastest damage
dealers in Zodiac.

==========================]
Hybrid Classes for Thieves|

Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Warrior = Assassin
Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Mage = Ninja
Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Scout = Ranger

==================]
Skills for Thieves|
==================]

Below are the skills for Thieves. This list will change when the Thief skills
change.

===]
Mug|
===]

Zodiac Description: Steals gold from enemy monsters.
Level Requirement: Level 1.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: Mug is the depiction of what any thief is. Although Mug is not a
combat skill, it still proves to be useful for any thief.

=====]
Dodge|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Increases dodge rate.
Level Requirement: Level 4.
Price: 500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Dodge helps thieves stay alive longer than they normally would.
It is quite beneficial and is definitely a noticeable skill.

===========]
Feign Death|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Makes others think you're dead.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 750 Gold.

My Thoughts: Feign death is amazingly useful if you're fighting a monster far
away from the OSL. Feign death will prevent you from dieing if you're fighting
a monster. However, when some people put text macros with Feign Death, it
ruins the skill in PVP.

=======]
Stealth|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Allows you to become invisible.
Level Requirement: Level 10.
Price: 1500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Arguably one of the thief's best skills for PVP, Stealth is a
very cheap and effective skill. It helps a thief get past enemies or dissapear
from a fight. Great for fighting in PVP as it confuses the enemy in most
situations.

=====]
Steal|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Steals items from enemy monsters.
Level Requirement: Level 12.
Price: 2000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Steal is an improved version of mug, allowing you to sometimes
steal items from monsters. Also great for getting more money.

=======]
Agility|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Increases damage done by dexterity weapons.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Since most thieves will use weapons that rely on dexterity, this
skill is quite impressive.

=======]
Scamper|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Gives a short speed burst.
Level Requirement: Level 18.
Price: 6000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Scamper is a neat skill, that is mainly used for traveling or
getting out of difficult situations. I've seen scamper being effectively used
in ambushing people, as most people cannot out run a scamper. Scamper is also
good for recovering from some spells that keep you still.

========]
Backstab|
========]

Zodiac Description: Double damages dealt from behind or stealth.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Backstab is truely a great skill, and works wonders in PVP. It
will keep your character moving trying to pop in a backstab. The double amount
of damage is very convenient in low health situations.

==========]
Sand Swipe|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Swipes sand into enemy's eyes.
Level Requirement: Level 22.
Price: 10000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Sand swipe is primarily used to stop or obstruct the playing of
your target. I've seen this used more in PvP, and sand swipe is an above
average skill. Good against players of all type, as it is always an
inconvenience.

======]
Payout|
======]

Zodiac Description: Finds gold on dead enemies.
Level Requirement: Level 26.
Price: 12500 gold.

My Thoughts: With payout, you'll be getting even more money than normal.
It's another one of those money skills, and is definitely one of those skills
you'll be using to keep a steady and better income.

===========]
Backstab II|
===========]

Zodiac Description: An upgrade of Backstab.
Level Requirement: Level 28.
Price: Free.

My Thoughts: Backstab II increases the effectiveness of Backstab and will
obviously replace Backstab. It is a great skill, and even greater becaue of
its free price. Great for doing amazing amounts of damage.

========]
Scavenge|
========]

Zodiac Description: Find extra items on enemies.
Level Requirement: Level 30.
Price: 15000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Scavenge will get you double the amount of items than you
normally would with steal, as you'll have two item skills. With all of your
monster-money/item stealing skills, you'll definitely be making a lot of
money.

===]
Spy|
===]

Zodiac Description: Shows an enemy's stats.
Level Requirement: Level 34.
Price: 20000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Spy is a sneaky skill that is best for analyzing monsters that
you've never faught before. Gets you good idea of what you're up against,
especially for some bosses. Spy would be very useful for making guides as
well, for you have the accurate information. The scout has this skill too.

=========]
Pick Lock|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Attempts to open chests.
Level Requirement: Level 36.
Price: 22500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Pick Lock will be useful once chests come out, as I havn't seen
any chests yet. No other classes can pick locks, making this skill both unique
and needed in a party.

===========]
Transfixion|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Allows for two hits sometimes.
Level Requirement: Level 40.
Price: 40000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Transfixion is an amazing thief skill, and allows thieves to be
able to hit more often and swiftly. Transfixion is a very noticeable skill'
that allows thieves to kill faster than they normally would.

 [--------------------------The Warrior-------------------------]

Warriors are a very simple-to-learn class, that are purely melee assault. Most
of the warrior's skill are simple and concise, all similar in effect.
Amassing amazing amounts of damage through brute force and headstrong attacks,
warriors are capable of both great attack and sufficient defense. With the
ability to wear some of the strongest armor Zodiac has to offer, the warrior
is a class, that has a strong force to penetrate.

There are several types of warriors, which vary on their attitude and
alignment. Warriors focus all of their concentration in battle and combat,
forcing them to sacrifice any useful magic.

In a party, a warrior will probably be a tank or an off-tank. Warriors are
great for dealing damage to the main target, or holding the attention of
another. Warriors can easily protect themselves in PVP and can tackle some
harder opponents.

===========================]
Stat Upgrades for a Warrior|

Dexterity: 3

Intelligence: 1

Stamina: 3.5

Luck: 0.5

===========================]
Hybrid Classes for Warriors|
===========================]

Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Warrior = Assassin
Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Mage = Ninja
Level 10 Thief + Level 10 Scout = Ranger

===================]
Skills for Warriors|
===================]

Below are the skills for Warriors. This list will change when the Warrior
skills change.

====]
Bash|
====]

Zodiac Description: Gives Warrior weapons a chance to stun.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 250 Gold.

My Thoughts: With the ability to stun your target, Bash is a great skill for
PVP. Stunning in any situation is useful and will give you a few seconds to
get ready another skill or flee.

======]
Enrage|
======]

Zodiac Description: Increases damage dealt and taken.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 750 Gold.

My Thoughts: Enrage increases the damage you do, but risks a lot of health
damage. You might have trouble pulling proper use of Enrage. I say that if you
use this a lot, that to be careful.

=====]
Taunt|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Catches a monster's attention.
Level Requirement: Level 10.
Price: 1500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Taunt is the best skill to use when trying to get the attention
of a monster. It is infinitely useful when trying to distract a monster from
the party's healer.

===========]
Hard Strike|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Raises critical hit rate.
Level Requirement: Level 14.
Price: 3000 Gold.

My Thoughts: As a warrior, you might not see too many critical hits. With this
skill, you should be seeing more. Hard strike is a necessary warrior skill and
is useful in both PVP and against monsters.

=============]
Sword Mastery|
=============]

Zodiac Description: Increases damage dealt by swords.
Level Requirement: Level 16.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: With all of your skills compiled into one attack, you should be
doing a hefty amount of damage. Sword Mastery will add onto your damage,
making you a very powerful force.

=========]
Iron Wall|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Reduces damage taken for a short time.
Level Requirement: Level 20.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Iron Wall is the skill warriors will be using while tanking
difficult monsters. Using Iron Wall will have a great positive effect on
your defense and your ability to sustain your health.

====]
Rush|
====]

Zodiac Description: Pushes back the target.
Level Requirement: Level 24.
Price: 12500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Rush is a multi purpose skill that is best used in PvP. Although
great against monsters, where you can stall monsters from you, I have seen
that it is better against other players. You should try to use rush
tactically, as it can prove to be a nifty skill.

=======]
Bash II|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Gives a chance to stun + damage.
Level Requirement: Level 26.
Price: 14000 Gold.

My Thoughts: An improved version of Bash, Bash II does the same things as Bash
except better. Bash II provides damage and the ability to stun, making it a
much better skill.

======]
Frenzy|
======]

Zodiac Description: Increases speed and damage taken.
Level Requirement: Level 28.
Price: 15500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Frenzy is another one of those skills where the situation is very
dependant. I would use Frenzy if against a monster where I know I can easily
kill and just went to kill them fast. However, against a boss, where you are
tanking, using Frenzy is a terrible skill, as the amount of damage the tank
does is not nearly as important as his health.

================]
Soldier's Spirit|
================]

Zodiac Description: Increases effect of shouts and cries.
Level Requirement: Level 30.
Price: 18000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Soldier's Spirit is a skill you'll definitely want if you're big
on warrior buffs. Being able to have an extra power to your cries is an
absolute benefit to both your party and yourself when you're soloing.

=======]
Phalanx|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Decreases speed and damage taken.
Level Requirement: Level 32.
Price: 20000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Contrary to Frenzy, Phalanx does quite the opposite. This is good
if you're low on health against a monster, and need to heal (as a paladin).
But more importantly, Phalanx is the best tanking skill you can use on
yourself. Try to coordinate when you use Phalanx on when your healers are
regenerating their MP.

=========]
Berserker|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Killing increases speed and damage.
Level Requirement: Level 34.
Price: 23000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Berserker has the most benefit in a party, and should be used
before boss battles. What I mean is that as a party, make sure your warrior
kills the monster. This can get a lot of speed and damage accumulated, as
after all of it is gathered, you can tackle harder monsters easier,
specifically bosses.

=========]
Whirlwind|
=========]

Zodiac Description: Attacks anyone around you.
Level Requirement: Level 38.
Price: 28000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Whirlwind is an amazing spell for PvP, and can easily steal
several killing blows in one shot. Although you have to perfectly arrange
yourself for it to be initiated at maximum, whirlwind is still a great
multipurpose skill.

======]
Cleave|
======]

Zodiac Description: Physical damage is in an area.
Level Requirement: Level 42.
Price: 42000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Cleave is a great AoE-like spell for warriors. It covers a lot
more range for your attacks, and has nice damage. Cleaving is another attack
that you'll be using a lot in both PvP and against monsters. Again, great for
stealing killing blows.

 [=============================================================]
 | <>	        =Hybrid Classes=               <<7.5>> |
 [=============================================================]

The amazing class system in Zodiac allows players to choose from a variety
of different combination, or hybrid classes. These hybrid classes specialize
in a certain area, that are created through the combination of two different
classes. Each hybrid class requires you to have 10 levels in two specific
classes. Note that not all combinations of classes have their own hybrid
class. Below is a chart to show you what classes can create which classes.

Hybrid classes are an important part of a functioning party in Zodiac, without
some of the hybrid classes, we would not have a lot of the impressive and
efficient spells and skills we have now.

To become a hybrid class, you need 10 levels in both of the classes. After,
the next time you level up, there will be the choice to level up your hybrid
class. This choice will be a bit further down in your class leveling-
selection window.

Aside from deciding what hybrid class you want to be, there is the difficult
task of finding the hybrid class trainer. Hybrid classes have trainers, which
are not in the same Trainer house as basic classes. These hybrid class
trainers are scattered throughout Zodiac. Sometimes people do not become a
class they like because they cannot find the trainer. To simplify this task, I
will list where you can find the trainers.

I have also provided the list of the current skills for Hybrid Classes. A lot
of the information for Hybrid Classes is not here, as it is harder to find
than basic classes. If you want to help out, contact me, as I cannot do this
section on my own.

Currently, i'm missing a lot of the class skill prices/level requirements.

 [--------------------------The Assassin------------------------]

The Assassin trainer is close to the paladin trainer and is in the farm zone.

From outside of the Paladin trainer's building, follow the dirt path going
right. (The path to the Paladin trainer is a bit below this section).

At the first intersection, there should be a path going up, one going right
and one going down. Take the one going right, which goes through a stone-
like gate.

After walking through the stone-like gate, follow the dirt path and at the
intersection, go up. You should go through a wide wooden opening. Follow the
dirt path up a cliff, and keep following it. You should see a building with a
windmill on it, that means you're in the farm-area. Ignore the building and
walk left into the farm area. You should see rows of sod and a windmill. Keep
walking left, behind a row of sod is the assassin trainer. He has a blue
headband and grayish skin.

If you have any trouble with finding the farm area, use your map. You can
use your map by pressing M. The x that says Druid Farm is the proper location.

 [------------------------The Dark Knight-----------------------]

The Dark Knight trainer was the last one I found, and is probably the least
known location.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path down and follow it until the
golden tri-bridge. Take the right exit of the golden tri-bridge. Follow the
stone path after the golden tri-bridge. Follow the stone path, and at the
intersection, go down. When the stone path splits into a dirt path, take
the dirt path.

You should pass a "Welcome to Escalus" sign. Keep following the dirt path
until the blue bridge. Walk across the blue bridge, and continue to follow the
dirt path that comes after the blue bridge. When the path splits into stone,
do not take that path, but continue on the dirt path.

After a few more steps, there will be an intersection, but stick with the path
you're currently taking. Keep walking, and the dirt path will change into a
stone path. You will pass two wooden garrison-gates when the path changes into
a stone path. At the first intersection, go left at the stone path.

At the next intersection, just stay with your current stone path. Keep walking
and ignore the building that leads from the dirt path. Instead, go a few steps
up and look for a sign. The sign should say "Cult of Woe". The building behind
that sign has the Dark Knight trainer. Walk into the building, you should see
a black haired man with an earring. Go up the stairs to the next level. In
this level, go up the stairs again. In this last level should be a man with a
white ghost-mask. This man is the Dark Knight Trainer.

======]
Blight|
======]

Zodiac Description: Causes your target to be ill with poison.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Blight is a great Damage over Time effect spell, which hurts you
progressively because of the poison. It's a great spell for hunting down a
fast target, as you'll hurt them even if you aren't in range.

=====]
Drain|
=====]

Zodiac Description: Drains off your target's HP.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Drain is an amazing way to keep yourself with a steady HP. Using
dark magic, it allows you to steal your opponent's health and fuel yours.
Drain does wonders when fighting against more than one person.

======]
Siphon|
======]

Zodiac Description: Siphons off your target's MP.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Siphon does the same thing as Drain, except affects MP. Siphon
is one of the best spells to use against spellcasters, as it depletes their
MP quite easily. Useful in a large amount of situations.

 [---------------------------The Druid--------------------------]

The Druid trainer is in the Cisris Dungeon, which is where the elves are. For
information on how to get to the Cisris Dungeon, check the locations section.

From the Cisris Dungeon entrance, there are three doors. One of them is
locked, and two of them have elves in it. Out of the two unlocked rooms, walk
into the right one.

In this level, there are a lot of elves and such, but just walk to the north-
west part of this room. In the north west part of this room is an entrance
into another level. This other level has a green headbanded man, with a green
leaf robe. This man is the druid trainer.

========]
Entangle|
========]

Zodiac Description: Summons vines to restrain your foes.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 4000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Entangle is like Ice Coffin, which holds your target down for a
limited time. It is great for casting a long spell or running away. Entangle
is also good at preventing people from running.

===============]
Eye of the Hawk|
===============]

Zodiac Description: Cures Blindness.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 8000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Eye of the Hawk is only sometimes useful. Blindness is not that
much of an abundant curse, making Eye of the Hawk an unused spell for the most
part.

========]
Sunlight|
========]

Zodiac Description: Calls forth a beam of light to heal your allies.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 11000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Sunlight heals people in your party for a small amount of health,
but is actually a very bad healing spell. It has a long cooldown (four
minutes), and only heals for about 200 for 10 seconds.

 [-------------------------The Gladiator------------------------]

The Gladiator trainer is on the same island as the Druid trainer. Getting to
the gladiator can be quite complicated, as he is far away from most locations.

From outside of the Cisris Dungeon, go back to the other side of the wooden
wall. Cut down the bush and walk back onto the dirt path. Except, instead of
going back to the port, go up the dirt path. Follow the path until the first
intersection. Take the left intersection. When the dirt path ends, there
should be a building. Inside this building is the Gladiator Trainer.

When you enter the building, you'll see a set of stairs in the top right
corner. Go down these stairs. In the next level, just walk down the hallway to
the next room. In this room are three doors, one to the left of you, one to
the right and one going down. Walk into the left door. In this room is a
gray-helmeted man, wielding an axe. He is the Gladiator Trainer.

==========]
Battle Cry|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Bolsters nearby party members' strength and increases
damage.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Battle Cry is a group buff that is very good for melee fighters.
It allows Gladiators to add a lot more damage to their usual attack and help
them keep the aggro of a main target. Battle Cry affects only people.

======]
Disarm|
======]

Zodiac Description: Strikes the target's arm, preventing the use of weapons
for a short time.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Disarm is very useful against other melee fighters, as it
deprives them of their weapon. This allows Gladiators to have a huge
advantage in one on one battles against other melee fighters. Also useful
against spellcasters, as most of their staffs gives them more MP/Spell Power.

==============]
Weapon Mastery|
==============]

Zodiac Description: Gives a higher critical rate and damage.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: The passive skill Weapon Mastery will make your gladiator a much
better fighter in battle. There aren't many skills/equipment that increases
your critical rate, so Weapon Mastery is quite a rare and useful skill.

======]
Charge|
======]

Zodiac Description: Charges into the target, causing some damage and a short
stun.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Charge is probably the best attack for ambushing people, as it
stuns them and does damage. The extra stun you give to your target gets you a
headstart against monsters and players.

 [---------------------------The Ninja--------------------------]

The Ninja's trainer location is on the same island as the Grave Yard and the
Hex Dungeon. I will use Drawde Port as a landmark location.

From the man who sells you the ticket at Drawde Port, go down and walk across
to the other side of the port. Keep walking until you're on the other side of
the port and you see a wooden gate-opening. From the wooden-gate opening,
follow the stone path. The stone path loops for a while around trees, so be
patient. At the first intersection, go up a few steps to the house.

This house has the Ninja trainer. Although you only see a blue girl in the
first room, there is a secret passage. At the end of the room, straight from
the entrance is a ladder to go to the next level. In this room, keep walking
and in the same location will be the secret ladder. Now, in this room will be
a main with a red ninja-mask and headband. This is the ninja trainer.

==============]
Throw Shruiken|
==============]

Zodiac Description: Throws a shruiken at a high rate.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 8000.

My Thoughts: Throwing Shruikens can be effective, as it is a very quick
attack. However, the damage can be lackluster, and just be an inconvenience
to your target. The best thing about throwing shruikens is that at its speed
it is hard to miss a lot, unlike other long ranged spells.

======]
Irixyu|
======]

Zodiac Description: Creates duplicates of yourself to confuse the enemy and
makes it harder for them to hit.
Level Requirement: Level 6.
Price: 11000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Irixyu is really not that useful, if you're fighting an
experienced player. The Irixyu skill looks quite nice, but its if someone has
you selected then this skill is useless. Great if someone doesn't have you
selected, as you can easily ambush them.

===============]
Seal of Silence|
===============]

Zodiac Description: Temporarily seals target's magic.
Level Requirement: Level 8.
Price: 12500 Gold.

My Thoughts: Seal of Silence is a useful skill against priests at low health,
because it prevents them to heal. Being one of the better PvP skills, Seal of
Silence is a skill better used against spellcasters. The only problem is that
the seal doesn't last long enough to pull of an amazing attack. Best used to
run away or deliver a finishing blow.

===========]
Tataki Koto|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Teleports you a short range to your target.
Level Requirement: Level.
Price: 15000 Gold.

My Thoughts: Tataki Koto is quite a good skill in both combat and in general.
Tataki Koto allows you to climb cliffs and go through walls by selecting a
nearby target. This skill is generally one of the harder ones to master, as
it can be used in several techniques of combat.

 [--------------------------The Paladin-------------------------]

The paladin trainer is in the farm area of Zodiac, which is quite a walk from
the OSL. From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going right and across
the blue bridge. Keep following the stone path, and at the intersection go
down. At the next intersection, go onto the dirt path and keep walking. You
should pass a "Welcome to Escalus" sign.

Keep following the dirt path and go across the blue bridge. After the blue
bridge, at the first intersection, go onto the stone path. Stay on the main
stone path, ignoring the entrances to buildings and shops. Your stone path
should loop, and go into an intersection. Take the intersection going
down-east; the dirt path. Now, walk a few steps and at the intersection, go
down-east again. Keep walking and go around the tree, staying on the
dirt path.

Walking on the dirt path, the first building you see, which is up of you
has the Paladin Trainer. The Paladin trainer has a blue-knight helmet.

=======]
Barrier|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Reduces damage dealt from your target by 10%.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Barrier is a nice looking spell, that is an amazing buff in any
scenario. 10% off any attack is quite nice and very beneficial when fighting
monsters. One of the best buffs in the game, I would say.

==========]
Conviction|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Charges your attack with holy power.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Conviction is another great buff, that usually increases your
damage by 200 or so. The difference is considerably noticeable, and is a must
have spell for Paladins. Another spell you'll want to bring along against a
boss battle.

 [--------------------------The Ranger--------------------------]

The ranger trainer's building is quite close to the OSL. It is right next to
the fire spawn cave. But for those who havn't looked at how to get to the fire
spawn cave, I will give a description to the ranger's house.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going down and follow it to the
golden tri-bridge. Take the path going right on the golden tri-bridge. Follow
the stone path, and at the intersection go down. Follow the stone path
until it meets with a dirt path, take that dirt path. You should walk by a
"Welceme to Escalus" sign.

Follow the dirt path until you see a building. The building is next to a few
bushes and some red sprout-stumps. Inside this building should be a green-
headbanded man with red hair. He is the ranger trainer.

Pathfinding|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Allows you to move over rocks and bushes without
hinderance.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Pathfinding is an alright skill that allows Rangers to run much
faster in most terrain than other classes. Pathfinding is very useful when
being chased by a large number of people, and also saves time, as you don't
have to cut down most bushes.

==========]
Imbue Fire|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Threads your arrows with fire magic.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Good spell, as it adds extra fire damage to your arrows. Looks
cooler than normal arrows too. I believe this spell is increased if you have
Fire Affinity equipment.

===========]
Imbue Water|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Threads your arrows with water magic.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Imbue Water adds water damage and a chill effect to your arrows.
It should be the first type of imbue you use if you're pulling a target, as it
will take longer for them to get to you. I believe this spell is increased if
you have Water Affinity equipment.

==========]
Imbue Wind|
==========]

Zodiac Description: Threads your arrows with wind magic.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Imbue Wind adds wind damage to your arrows, which provides you
with a little more damage. I believe this spell is increased if you have Wind
Affinity equipment.

============]
Imbue Earth|
============]

Zodiac Description: Threads your arrows with earth magic.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Imbue Earth adds earth damage to your arrows, which provides you
with a little more damage. I believe this spell is increased if you have Earth
Affinity Equipment.

=======]
Aim Bow|
=======]

Zodiac Description: Allows you to aim your arrows by holding shift, as long as
the skill is active.
Level Requirement:
Price:

My Thoughts: Aim Bow is a good skill, as it saves a lot of time. Holding Shift
is a lot more convenient than selecting a monster. Aim Bow is great for crowd
control, because you can easily switch between two monsters, so the aggro is
on you.

 [-------------------------The Summoner-------------------------]

The Summoner trainer is in the fire spawn cave, which is right next to
the ranger trainer's house. So, instead of me writing the same directions
again, just follow the directions above in "The Ranger" section.

However, instead of going into the building, cut the bushes to the right of it
and go into the opening into the trees. You should be in a cave with densified
lights and some red beings. Go to the top of the level and walk right, to the
next level. From this level, go to the top and there should be another entrance
into another cave level.

In this level should be a red haired man. He is the summoner trainer.

===========]
Spirit Bird|
===========]

Zodiac Description: Summons a bird from the spirit world to come and attack
your enemies.
Level Requirement: Level 2.
Price: 2000.

My Thoughts: Spirit bird provides good damage, but its cast time can sometimes
hold you back. Spirit Bird sends a glowing bird at your enemy, or dissapears
when hits a wall. The best thing about Spirit Bird is that it takes away HP
and MP, plus is long ranged.

================]
Summon Elemental|
================]

Zodiac Description: Summons are spirit of your element fight by your side.
Level Requirement: Level 1.
Price: Free.

My Thoughts: As soon as you're a summoner, you can do a quest to get this
spell. Check the Class Specific Quests section on how to get this spell.
Summon Elemental is an amazing spell, and obviously summons your elemental.
Your elemental does the damage of another player, and holds the aggro of your
target. Your elemental will be a huge bulk if your damage.

This section is a simple list of the current equipment modifiers. An equipment
modifier is a piece of equipment with a prefix or suffix. Equipment modifiers
are good things, and give a benefit to the piece of armor. Depending on the
modifier, the armor can be worth a lot more than normal. For example, a normal
piece of armor, Saffron Boots, would be much better with a prefix.

The original is:

Saffron Boots

With a prefix:

Sapphire Saffron Boots; + 4 Int, + 5 Water Affinity

With a Suffix:

Sapphire Saffron Boots of Umbra; + 4 Int, + 5 Water Affinity, + 2 Dark
Affinity

Prefixes and suffixes to armor make them more desirable, and essentially
should be sought for over normal items. Equipment with armor modifiers are
also much rarer, but drop from the same monsters. Below is the list of all the
modifiers.

However, I am unsure of what most of these do. I thought this lsit would be
helpful for any who are trying to /lookup some items. Note that there is not a

 | <>          =The 'How To' Section=            <<9.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

This section is for more complicated things that can be done in Graal.
Currently, this section teaches people how to create proper Graal graphics
and how to create a Radio Station on Zodiac. Both of these things were
taught to me through other players, and i'd like to credit them, as I have
a few times in this guide.

Alex Stravier helped me write the Proper Graphic Creation section and
Naokohiro helped me write the Radio Station section.

 [-------------------Proper Graphic Creation--------------------]

I love making appearance graphics for my character on Graal. It is one of the
most interesting things about Graal and really tests your Paint talents.

When you create a graphic on Paint, the area around the graphic will show up
when it is uploaded. So, if you make a head graphic, and the border of the
head is green, when it is uploaded, there will be a green box around the head.

To avoid this, you have to make the color green a transparent color. To do
this is a very simple process.

Before you start trying to make a graphic border transparent, download and
install the following programs:

Giffy. Giffy is the program that sets the actual transparency. It can be
downloaded at the following link:

http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tool
s/GiFFY.html

If that link eventually expires, then either google 'Giffy', or e-mail me.

Next, you'll need GIF2MNG, which can be downloaded from running Graal 4. Open
Graal 4, but instead of going on a server, go to the Updates Tab. From there,
go under the Developer Tools extension, and double click the Developer Tools
name that opens from the extension. Click the download button to download it.

After installing both things, it's time to learn how to use them.

First, you have to make sure your graphic is saved in a 24 Bit BMP. Now, you
might be wondering "why a BMP, when Graal accepts PNGs?". Well the answer to
that is because you need to convert it into a BMP to make it transparent.
Don't worry, you convert it back in the end.

Now, once it's a 24 Bit BMP, open Giffy. Open your 24 Bit BMP and select the
background-border color. In the case of our example, the color is green. So,
select the color green. Now, check the 'Transparent' box. Save it as a GIF
in the file that GIF2MNG is in.

Note that if you use the color green in your head graphic, set your background
border to a different color. Or else part of your head will be transparent.

Take your transparent GIF and run it with GIF2MNG. You can do this by dragging
your GIF file onto the GIF2MNG file. After a few moments, there should be a
new PNG created in the same file. This PNG is the transparent one that is
properly uploadable.

After the graphic is properly set, you have to have it named properly. On most
servers, the graphic will have to be named like the following:

If your graphic is a head:

If your graphic is a shield:

If your graphic is a sword:

For bodies, the naming process is different. It is something like this:

If you don't add the 100 at the end, you will be able to change the colors, and
the transparency won't be set properly.

 [-------------------Radio Stations on Zodiac-------------------]

Zodiac provides the amazing feature to host your own Radio Station, that hosts
what kind of music you like. It allows players to be able to listen to their
favourite music, share that music with others all while fighting monsters and
doing quests. This unique feature can be complicated for some, but is actually
a simple task.

There are two main ways of having a Radio Station. One uses a public internet
radio that is already hosted. The other is one that uses your own hard drive
as the source for music. I am much more experienced in using the public
internet radio stations, and will be more detailed about that.

 [-----------------Using a Public Radio Station-----------------]

Using a public radio station will save you a lot of RAM, and allow you to play
Graal more smoothly.

I find that the best way to do this is to go to shoutcast.com. There are
already a WIDE variety of stations being played. Choose the one that best
reflects your music taste/or whatever you'd like. If the station you're
looking for isn't on the main page, use the Search function to find a specific
taste of music.

click the Tune In button next to what station you're interested in. It will
prompt you to download a program, which hosts to that radio station. Next,
run the program by double clicking it. The file should open with WinAMP. If
you don't have WinAMP, google WinAMP and look for a download.

There should be some music playing, that is from the radio station. To
broadcast it on Graal, open the Playlist, so there's a list of all th songs.
Now, right click a song and go to View File Info. At the top of View File Info
window, there should be a HTTP link. This is the link you'll use with Graal.

The link should look something like this: http://208.65.156.45:8080

Now that you have the link to the song, it's time to use it with Graal. In
Graal, press T, which activates the Radio Station window. The Radio Station
window should look like this:

[===========================================]
|             Public Host Radio             |

|  Catiroth11                               |
|                                           |
|  GracefulCharity                          |
|                                           |
|  Goten255                                 |
|                                           |
|  Black_Slash                              |
|                                           |
|                                           |

| [__________________] [__________________] |
|                                           |
[===========================================]

The names in the top part of this window are the people who have Radio
Stations running. To listen to their radio, double click their name.

But, anyway, to create your own Radio Station, click 'Host Link!'. Now, a new
window should open, about the Station Console. There are two lines, the first
one is for your Station Name, and the second one is the link you got from the
WinAMP song.

Once your information is filled out press 'Update Link!'. Now you will be
listed on the Public Host Radio list and people will be able to tune into your
radio. You can advertise your radio station through Shouts and Mass Messages.
Also, remember that your Account Name will show up on the Public Host Radio
list, not your name.

 [--------------------Hosting Your Own Music--------------------]

Hosting your own music takes a lot longer, and also requires you to have the
music you want to play on your hard drive. This takes a lot more work and will
make your Graal a lot laggier. If you looked at the above way to get a radio
station running, then you'll be the person on ShoutCast who has a radio
station running.

Before we get into how Graal uses Radio Stations, lets get another program
running on your computer so that your Radio Station can work at its best.
To get started, you'll need the program: Simple Cast. This is the best program
i've seen that you can use for Radio Stations on Graal.

Simple Cast allows you to broadcast music without having to upload all your
music to a site, making it MUCH more convenient. Below is a link to download
Simple Cast.

http://www.download.com/SimpleCast/3000-2168_4-10206213.html?tag=lst-0-1

After downloading and installing it, run the program. Now, to maximize the use
of Simple Cast, sign up for Audio Realm. Audio Realm will enhance what you can
do with Simple Cast. To register an account, press Config on Simple Cast.
Then, go to Member Details, where you can click on Register. Clicking on
Register will open a internet page, where you sign up for Audio Realm.

It is not necessary to sign up for Audio Realm, so if you don't want to,
that's alright.

From here, go to the following link to properly config your radio station
to Simple Cast.

http://www.spacialaudio.com/products/simplecast/docs/

Follow the instructions, as the link there provides a better guide than I
could write on this issue.

Once you have your radio station up, with all the proper information, do the
same thing you would with using a public radio station.

 | <>                =My Character=             <<10.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

For any people who are interested in my Graal history, here's a little section
for you. I have my Zodiac information as well, and a brief of how I started
playing Graal.

 [--------------------------Brief History------------------------]

Well, I started playing Graal a long time ago, while it was still offline.
Back then, things were much simpler, and at the time it wasn't even an online
game. I wasn't a frequent of playing Graal, then, but my brother was.

Eventually, we both got bored of making levels and such on Graal. But, a few
years later, in late 2002, I found myself bored of all the games I had.
I googled "Graal", and found that the game became an online game. After a
litte reading of their website, I promptly downloaded and installed the game.

I was a trial at the time, and didn't have a main server. A few months later,
I started playing Delteria and was hooked on playing there. I bought a P2P,
and began getting more comfortable with the Delterian community. I've played
there ever since, and you'll find me there during the time i'm not on Zodiac.

But, I know that my Delterian history isn't as interesting as my Zodiac
character. So for any mages, priests or summoners out there, who are
interested in my character, this section might give you a hand. As Zodiac is
still developing a lot more, and new skills are being created, my character
will change.

 [----------------------My Zodiac Character----------------------]

My character is named Myrmiston Blyssdiel, and I am not in a nation. I am
more independent than to be in a nation, but down the road, I may join one.
I'm more interested in guilds and closer communities of people, but I will
admit that there are a lot of benefits to nations.

All my life, i've always liked playing a spellcaster, especially magi and
priests. Summoners are a great combination, and I recommend playing a summoner
if you like that kind of spellcasting gameplay.

As a summoner, I have a Wind Summon Elemental, and i've enjoyed it ever since
I got it. If you're a summoner and you'd like to find out how to get a pet,
check the Summoner's Quest section.

When I reach Level 50, I plan to have the following level layout. This will
probably change when new skills are released.

20 Priest
10 Mage
20 Summoner

Now, before I wanted to focus on being a Summoner, but I realized that parties
seriously search for good priests. And, at Level 20, I get Heal as a priest.
Being a level 20 priest was my main priority. The other skills weren't that
important to me, so I put the rest into Summoner, as I get a better skill
upgrade that way. Since Summoners get + 7 INT per level.

If I ever reroll levels, or change my decision, i'll be sure to change what
i've put.

Here are the skills i'll have at level 50:

Priest:

Minor Heal
Exorcise
Recharge
Blessing of Stamina
Restore
Blessing of Strength
Rebirth
Blessing of Dexterity

Heal

Mage:

Fireball
Chill
Acid Blast
Bolt

Summoner:

Summon Bird
Summon Elemental

There will definitely be more Summoner Spells as a level 20. I plan to focus
on being a strong Summoner through utilizing the most of my pet.

Right now, here are my stats and equipment. I am sure that this will change
with the release of new equipment and as I level.

 [=============================================================]
 | >             =Zodiac Professions=           <<11.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

Zodiac's gameplay offers a multitude of different ways to earn money. A main
source of money for some Zodaic adventures is created through Professions.
Like in all games, professions play a main part of gaining money. As Zodiac
develops, these professions will become more vital and important to a Zodiac
player.

Currently, there are three main professions available to Zodiac players.
All three professions have their pros and cons, but have not been fully
explored by most players.

Most players would rather fight and gain experience, selling the spoils they
find from monsters. Though this is good, you may want to stock up on money
before leveling. The reason to this is so that you can have enough money to
buy the best equipment you can have at the moment.

Here is an example.
Someone is selling a Venom Dagger for 30k. To use a Venom Dagger you have to
be level 30 (and the right class). Assume that you're level 29, and almost
to level 30, but you don't have 30k. You want to get the Venom Dagger as soon
as possible, but you're a few thousand off from 30k.

Without begging for money, or finding a lucky drop, the only thing to resort
to is Professions. That is where professions really come in handy, getting a
little more extra cash.

Some people might not care about when they get their equipment, and ditch the
whole profession deal. But for those who do care, i've complied a bit of
research on the professions.

Note that the Zodiac professions right now are a bit underappreciated and
not seemingly important as other parts of Zodiac.

Well, right now, Zodiac has four known professions: Mining, Farming, Fishing
and Woodcutting.

 [----------------------------Mining-----------------------------]

Mining is a very basic profession, that is typical in most MMORPGs. Other
servers of Graal also use mining as a profession. Zodiac's mining is not that
different from other servers. It seems that Mining is a suggested profession
as in one of the login tips, it talks about "mining or cutting bushes" to make
money.

To start off, you'll need 150 Gold to start mining. Go to the Zodiac Mine,
for help on getting there, check the Locations section (Zodiac Mine).

Once in the mine, talk to the guy behind the counter and buy a pickaxe from
him. Equip your pickaxe as you would any other weapon. You use it like a
weapon, and when you press S, you use the 'mining attack'. Around you are a
lot of gray rocks, guess what you have to do to them?

Use your pickaxe, and go up to a rock, rapidly press S and you'll see it
change forms/die. You can tell if it's being hit, or if it belongs to you, by
hovering your cursor over it. It will say "Owner: Account". If it says
"Owner: No One", then you aren't hitting it properly.

After a while, it'll completely break, and you will have the chance of
recieving an item. The most common item is coal, which sells for about 16
gold. Note that there are a lot of good ores and items that sell for quite a
bit. Sometimes, you won't get an item, but this is not a glitch, just keep
mining until you do.

Once you have enough rocks, or you'd like to leave, just talk to the guy who
sold you a pickaxe, and sell your rocks like any items.

On some servers, you'll see the rock drop, and you'll have to pick it up like
a normal item. However, on Zodiac, the ore directly goes to you to prevent any
item-theft or stealing.

Notable ores and rocks also drop from here, such as Jade and Ruby. The more
valuable the rock, the less chances you have of mining it. Note that mining
takes a lot of patience, and a lot of time. It is advised that if you are in a
rush, mining may not be as beneficial.

 [---------------------------Farming-----------------------------]

Farming is the most complicated profession on Zodiac, but even then, is quite
simple. To, start go to the Druid Farm, which can be found on your map. For
help on getting to the Druid Farm, visit the Locations section (Druid Farm).

Once there, go inside the building. Inside the building should be an old man
and a man behind a counter. First, get the Farming Skill from the old man, he
gives a quick description on how to farm. When you talk to him, a window
should open, click "Learn". Now, in your E skill button, you'll have the
farming skill. I suggest giving the skill a macro.

Now, buy a Scythe, Watering Can and a Shovel from the guy behind the counter.
Also buy a pack of corn.

Go outside and equip your watering can, press A next to the water basin and it
will say that you filled your watering can. Now, go in front of a field of
sod, which looks like elevated grass. Equip your shovel and press S, to dig a
hole in the ground. Now, use the Farming skill.

After it's casted, it'll give you an option of planting corn, apples or wheat.
Since you have corn seeds, select corn. Now, equip your watering can, and
press S. When you press S, you're watering the crop, so water it until it
reaches 100. If the water ever goes lower than 100, use your waterin can
again.

Now, just wait until the crop is ready to be harvested. Finally, equip your
scythe and cut down the crop. You'll instantly get the crop and be able to
sell it as you would any other item.

 [----------------------------Fishing----------------------------]

Fishing is a relaxing profession, but requires the same amount of patience,
if not more than Woodcutting. Fishing uses a Fishing Pole and sometimes bait.
A normal Fishing Pole costs 500 and can be bought at the Fishing Hut. To get
to the Fishing Hut, check the Locations section (Escalus Fishing Hut).

As soon as you have a fishing pole, go outside and use the fishing pole like a
weapon. Note that you have to be standing in front of a piece of water. If you
aren't in front of water, it will say "There doesn't appear to be any water
here". When you press S, your character will extend his fishing pole for a
few seconds, and you'll be temporarily frozen.

Like the mining profession, when you catch something, it will automatically go
to you. Fishing can take a while, as some fish only sell for 1g, but depending
on what you catch, it can be a great source of money.

If you're bored of the normal fishing rod, you can buy a better fishing rod on
the Elmdale island. However, this fishing rod requires bait to use the rod.

Check the Locations section on where to find the better fishing rod (Elmdale
Fishing Hut).

The larger fishing rod requires you to use bait, and in my opinion is not
worth the trouble to keep buying bait.

 [-------------------------Woodcutting---------------------------]

Woodcutting currently does not work, but here is how you do it for when it is
functional. It doesn't work because you cannot properly by an axe yet.

For future reference, an axe costs 40g, and wood sells for 3g each.

Woodcutting is done on Elmdale (the same island as the Elves). Check the
Locations section on how to get to the Woodcutting Shop (Woodcutting Shop).

Once in the Woodcutting Shop, talk to the blue haired man. He says that you
have to buy an axe to start chopping wood. Say "Buy Axe" to buy an axe. Now
that you have an axe, you must equip it. You equip an axe just like you would
a weapon. The axe functions like a weapon as well.

The blue haired lumberjack says that there are trees down the road that you
can cut. I assume that these are the only types of trees that can be cut.
To cut down a tree, slash with your axe when you are adjacent to a tree.
After a while, the tree should die and you will be rewarded with some wood.

I assume that the wood-looting works like picking up rocks and minerals in
mining. This means that the wood automatically goes to you.

When you are satisfied, go back to the blue haired lumberjack and say "sell
wood" to sell all of the wood you have. In the future, woodcutting will be a
very useful profession, rewarding lumberjacks with a good source of money.

In the future, I expect to see a few more professions. There are several
rumors going around about professions. I'm sure the Zodiac staff has
lots of things planned in regards to professions and making money.

 | <>             =Online Terms=                <<12.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

In online games, there are masses of slang and terms that relate to online-
specific things. The many elements in games create these terms and slang, and
should all be learned if you if wish to be a functioning player of general
online RPGs. Knowing these terms aren't necessary, but will probably help
you if you are confused with what someone is saying.

It is great to know these terms, because they will probably be quite helpful
while trying to communicate in game. These terms cover everything from
fighting terms to spell effects. Most of these terms relate to in-combat
standards and targets.

All terms will be listed in alphabetical order.

===]
Add|
===]

An add is a new monster or target that starts to attack you while you are
fighting something else. Adds usually come if a monster respawns or if you
moved too close and aggroed another monster.

=====]
Aggro|
=====]

The term aggro relates to the aggressive attention that a target has. It is
the attention that a monster has. Each monster has its own aggro-range, and if
you walk into this range, the monster will attack you or will be focused on
you. The focus that this monster has for you is called aggro. The only way
the aggro can be taken off of you is if another player or creature damages it
enough so that the aggro is transferred.

==============]
Area of Effect|
==============]

In Zodiac, there are some spells that have an area of effect. The area of
effect of a spell is the range that the spell covers. If a spell will hit
everyone in a 10 tile range, then the area of effect is 10x10 tiles, or
100 tiles.

=====]
Armor|
=====]

Armor is the defense you get from your equipment. Armor determines how much
damage you take from attacks from monsters and other players. More armor means
that you take less damage.

====]
Buff|
====]

A buff is a beneficial spell that increases a specific stat for your
character. Buffs are typically used before hard battles or enterting dungeons.
Some classes are revered for their better buffing skills and spells. Classes
that are good for combat buffs are usually known as support classes.

=====]
Build|
=====]

A build is a pre-set planned character path, where the character has already
chosen what they want to specialize in. Different builds are named different
things. For example, a Summoner Build has 10 levels in Mage and 10 levels in
Priest. Builds usually try to get the best skills a person can have. Some
builds are made so that the person can be better in a certain area, but
consequently lack in another. A person's build can judge what kind of gameplay
they have.

=======]
Camping|
=======]

Camping is usually done by those with the thirst for honor. When someone
camps, they wait for the monster or player they are camping to respawn. When
the thing respawns, they try to kill them again. Most of the time, a camper
camps someone that is an easy kill for them.

There is also monster camping, where someone, or a group of people camps a
particular boss for its loot.

========]
Carebear|
========]

Although not as common Zodiac, carebears are those who protect people who are
picked on in PVP. Carebears can also be people who donate to beggers or go out
of their way to seriously help someone who is in need.

============]
Casting Time|
============]

All active spells have a casting time. Casting time is the duration it takes
you to fully complete the casting of a spell. Spells with better effects or a
higher damage hit will probably have a longer casting time.

=============]
Crowd Control|
=============]

Crowd Control is a method that a party will use to keep all of the monsters
they are fighting occupied. This is usually to prevent the priest from getting
any of the aggro. Crowd control is an effective method, where everyone is
fighting their own monster or are using spells/pets to occupy a monster.

Classes with pets specialize in crowd control, as a pet is another target to
keep a monster's attention. Without being able to control your enemies, some
fights in dungeons or in PVP will be very difficult.

===============]
Cooldown Effect|
===============]

Some spells have a cooldown effect, which means that you cannot cast that
spell for a certain amount of time. Spells with cooldown times are usually
better than most spells, or has a very cheap ability. Depending on how good
the spell is, the cooldown will be longer or shorter.

Even some items have a cooldown effect, such as potions. This is also for the
same reason, that these items are generally good or provide an amazing effect.

============]
Critical Hit|
============]

All weapons and spells have a chance to hit for an exceptionally higher
amount than normal. The type of attack that causes this higher amount of
damage is called a critical hit. Different weapons/spells have different
chances for a critical hit.

There are some skills and items that enhance your chances to have a critical
hit.

=================]
Damage Per Second|
=================]

Damage Per Second, or DPS is a meter that judges how much damage you do. The
more damage you do, the higher your DPS will be. Weapons are judged on their
DPS usually to see how good they are. The average DPS you do will probably be
a determination of how far you are in your damage advancement for your class.

Note that Zodiac does not provide a solid DPS meter, and your general DPS will
have to be assumed on an estimate of how much you usually do. Some classes
specialize in doing damage and will be considered a DPS class.

======]
Debuff|
======]

A debuff is the opposite of a buff, meaning it is a negative-effecting spell.
Debuffs are also known as curses, and are used against enemy players and
monsters. Debuffs usually decrease your stats, take away something you would
regularly have.

Classes that debuff thrive in PVP, as debuffs work very well against other
players.

=======================]
Damage Over Time Effect|
=======================]

Some spells curse you so that you frequently lose health at every x amount of
seconds. These spells are known as Damage Over Time spells, or DOTs. DOTs are
great for killing people slowly, as it is harder to notice a gradual death.
There are some DOTs that also serve as a debuff or provide an ailment,
increasing their usefulness.

====]
Drop|
====]

A drop is anything that is left behind when an enemy dies. Any item, piece of
equipment, potion or anything else is conidered a drop if it came from the
looting of a monster. Only NPCs can drop items, as players do not drop items
when they are killed.

==========]
Experience|
==========]

Experience is what you need to proceed to the next level in Zodiac. You gain
experience from killing monsters and sometimes finishing quests. After every
level, you'll need more experience to proceed into the next level. Different
monsters give different amounts of experience. Generally, harder monsters will
give you better experience. On Zodiac, 520 is currently the maxmimum amount of
experience you can recieve per kill.

========]
Focusing|
========]

Focusing is a method that parties use to take down a specific monster. When a
party focuses on a monster, everyone attacks that monster until it reaches a
certain amount of health (usually when it is dead). Parties use focusing to
get a particular monster out of the way, so they can deal with other monsters.
Focusing is sometimes used hand-in-hand with crowd control, so they kill
monsters one by one at their controlled timing.

========]
Grinding|
========]

The term grinding refers to players who fight the same type of monster
aimlessly, with no real goal except experience. Grinding does not really occur
on Zodiac, as there is a lack of quests. However, people on Zodiac can grind
instead of doing more important things, such as getting important equipment.

=======]
Hacking|
=======]

Hacking is when you create a program that violates the server's scripts. When
you hack, you use your own scripts to allow you to do something that you
normally wouldn't be able to. Hacks are illegal and will result in a serious
consequence.

=====]
Honor|
=====]

In Zodiac, when you kill another player within a close level range, you will
recieve honor. Honor will be needed to wear certain equipment or do certain
tasks. Honor can only be given through PVP.

If you kill someone your level, you will recieve 2 honor. One level lower will
give you 1 honor, and any levels higher will depend on their level.

============]
Item Farming|
============]

Item Farming is the process of people killing the same monster over and over
until the drop they were looking for drops. Item farming usually happens over
either needed equipment or equipment that sells for a very high price. You
probably will only need to intensly item farm for items with a very low drop
rate.

===============]
Incoming Attack|
===============]

Incoming Attack, usually abbreviated into Inc means that there are enemy NPCs
or players coming into your direction. This can mean that there are monster
NPCs that are respawning, or perhaps the monsters are walking around in your
direction.

Sometimes, usually in nation wars, a war patrol will say "Inc" if an enemy
nation is attacking. Several parties and raids in both PVP and fighting
monsters use the saying "Inc" to warn other players.

============]
Killing Blow|
============]

The killing blow is essentially the attack that killed the person. Usually,
only the person who delivered the killing blow will get the kill. Because of
this, a lot of people camp the last attack, making it hard to work as a team,
sometimes. Campers usually wait until people are at low health, so they will
give a killing blow, voiding the person who did all the work. People who camp
killing blows like that are usually noticed and shamed.

=================]
Looking For Group|
=================]

Pretty self-explanatory, but when people say "LFG" or "Looking For Group",
they're requesting a party or group for a particular dungeon or quest. People
usually specify what task they're LFG for. On Zodiac, since there aren't that
much experience penalties for grouping, using LFG is encouraged.

===================]
Looking For Members|
===================]

Looking For Members is the same thing as Looking for a Group, except that you
already have a group and are looking for more people. Sometimes, people say
LF3M, meaning they're looking for three members.

=======]
Looting|
=======]

Looting is when a player picks up an item that a monster dropped. Sometimes,
the verb looting is associated with illegal looting, where a player will
loot something that is not there's.

=========]
Main Tank|
=========]

All organized parties usually have a main tank, which is the person who is
designed to take the most damage and hold the aggro of the monsters. The main
tank will usually be the most capable of having a consistent health, meaning
they have a high stamina level. The main tank usually fights first, so they
can take the attention of all the monsters. The term Main Tank is usually
abbreviated into MT.

=============]
Modem Tapping|
=============]

Modem Tapping is when a player intentionally creates an obstruction in their
connection so that they can repeat a glitch several times. For example, if you
attack a monster, and modem tap, the server will process it so there were
several attacks. Therefore, modem tapping can sometimes help you increase the
amount of things you do, or sometimes take away what other people do.

Note that this is illegal in all games, for it is the abuse of a glitch.

===========]
Monster Mob|
===========]

A mob is an indiviual monster NPC. Mobs are enemies that are not actual
players.

=====]
Ninja|
=====]

A ninja is someone who loots something without permission from their party.
Ninjas have a very low reputation, and after they loot something from the
party, they usually retreat, log off, etc. so that they cannot have a
consequence.

See the Graal Ettiqeutte segment located in section 4.0 for more information
about the negatives of being a Ninja.

========]
Off Tank|
========]

Sometimes, in addition to a Main Tank, a party will have an Off Tank. Off
Tanks are usually the second most capable of taking damage, and will probably
be holding the attention of the second strongest monster. Half the time, Off
tanks are not needed.

=======]
Pulling|
=======]

Pulling is the art of getting the aggro of a monster from afar. Pulling
usually happens when the party wants to pull one monster, but not the rest
of the group around that monster. Some classes specialize in pulling, these
classes are the ones with the strongest ranged attacks, such as scouts,
rangers, mages, etc.

=================]
Player vs. Player|
=================]

In online games, there is two types of combat. One of these types of combat
is when you fight monsters, the other one is Player vs. Player. This means
that you're fighting other real people. Player vs. Player, or PVP is usually
much more difficult, as PVP introduces you fighting other things with brains.
PVP gameplay means that you'll have to use tactical strategies, and also that
the lag of the opposing player might be a factor. In some games, there is a
system that rewards you for doing well in PVP.

=====]
Quest|
=====]

A quest is a task given by a NPC, which, when completed will give you a
specified reward. On Zodiac, there isn't as many quests as there are in other
games, but most quests on Zodiac are usually very important. In Zodiac, some
quests will sometimes give you named Ranks.

============]
Reroll/Reset|
============]

Rerolling, or resetting is when a player resets their character. This will
remove their character and give them a new one, usually meaning that they have
another chance. This usually happens if one made a mistake in their build or
want to play a different class. Zodiac luckily gives players three resets,
that allows them to reset their class, and they will still be able to keep
their items/gold. However, after the third reset, you'll have to pay two-
thousand gold for every level you want to reset.

===========]
Screenshots|
===========]

A screenshot is a computer-photograph that captures the current things on your
screen. In Graal, you take a screenshot by pressing Alt + 2, which saves your
screenshot in a .PNG form. People usually take screenshots of important
milestones or accomplishments. Sometimes, screenshot is abbreviated into SS.

=======]
Trainer|
=======]

A trainer is a program that is associated with hacking. Trainers usually
enhance the speed of someone, and are usually used by hackers outside of
Zodiac. Sometimes, people who are exceptionally good are accused for using
a trainer.

==============]
Willing to Buy|
==============]

Willing to Buy or WTB is used when a player wants to buy a specific item.
Usually, the player will list a few items or a single item after the player
says WTB. For example, WTB Smiter of Pi. This means that the player would
like to purchase the Smiter of Pi. In some situations, the player would also
give a price.

===============]
Willing to Sell|
===============]

Willing to Sell is the opposite of Willing to Buy. Obviously used when you
want to sell something.

 [=============================================================]

Got a question? E-mail it to me at OnlyMatthew@msn.com. I know sometimes my
guide might be confusing (maybe directions), just e-mail something to me.

I'll also post questions I get on Zodiac. You will be creditted on this site
along with the question.

 [=============================================================]
 | <>          =Class Specific Quests=          <<14.0>> |
 [=============================================================]

In Zodiac, there are a few quests, that only a certain class can do. The quest
usually rewards the player with an amazing weapon, or something necessary for
their class. A lot of these quests are not obvious, and usually requires some
aid to help the players. This part of the guide will cover all known quests
and how to solve them.

 [--------------------Warrior's Ice Sabre Quest--------------------]

This quest is only available for warriors, and gives them a fairly good
weapon. The weapon you recieve from this quest is the Ice Sabre, which can be
used by Warriors, Gladiators and Paladins, all of these classes have some sort
of Warrior background and are allowed to do this quest.

To start, go to the OSL. Go down the stairs on your right and talk to the
blue-haired man, who is sitting. He'll ask you to get him 12 fire cores.
Fire cores drop from Fire Spawns, and are semi-common drops.

If you don't know where the Fire Spawns are, check the Locations Section (Fire
Dungeon).

Once inside the dungeon, start killing these guys until you get 12 fire cores.
Then, return to the blue-haired man. He'll reward you with an Ice Sabre, below
are the stats for the Ice Sabre.

Power: 62
Requires: Level 18, Warrior, Paladin, Gladiator
Deals water damage, 3% to cause chill.

He also gives you a Fire Spawn Extinguisher rank, which is pretty cool.

 [----------------------Ninja's Katana Quest-----------------------]

Following ancient principles and lore, Zodiac has provided people with the
Ninja class to be able to obtain some very good Katana weapons. The Ninja
Katana quest takes a lot of patience and time, which is what a traditional
ninja aspires for.

So, to start your quest go to the Central Weapon Shop. Check the Locations
Section to find out how to get to the Central Weapon Shop.

Instead of buying something (which you'll have to do sometime in this quest),
go the back of the room in the entrance level. At the back of the room, go up
the stairs and into the next level. Now, walk a few steps right and go into
the door, which leads outside. You should be on top of the building when
you're outside.

Go to your right and act like the right side of the building is a cliff, and
you'll jump off onto the next platform. Walk into the waterfall on this
platform. Inside the waterfall, you'll be in a secret room that is inside the
Central Weapon Shop. The guy who gives the quest is the old man in the middle
of the room. To get to him, you have to walk through a barrel in the south-
western area of the room. You cannot walk through any of the other NPCs.

He will say that he will give you a Topaz Katana if you get him something of
'equal worth'. The thing he's looking for is a Topaz. To get a topaz, you'll
have to mine it in the Zodiac Mine. Check the Locations section on how to get
to the Zodiac Mine. Now, getting a Topaz takes a very long time, and is the
part of the quest that requires patience.

Eventually, if you get a Topaz, go back to the guy. He'll give you a Topaz
Katana for your efforts. He'll also give you an Earthen Ninja rank, which
sweetens the deal.

Here are the stats for the Topaz Katana, in my opinion, it is a VERY good
sword for its level.

Power: 82
Requires: Level 30, Ninja
+ 4 Dexterity, Deals Earth Damage, +3% Critical Rate, + 7 Earth Affinity.

 [----------------------Summoner's Pet Quest-----------------------]

Summoners are a very unique class, being the only class on Zodiac to have a
pet NPC that fights with them. I have been asked a lot of questions on where
the quest starts/how do I do it, so this guide is for you Summoners who need
that little extra help.

To recieve the quest, you need to talk to the Summoner Hermit, who lives on an
island south of the OSL. The island is visible on the map.

From outside of the OSL, take the stone path going down. Follow it down to the
golden tri-bridge. Take the left exit of the golden tri-bridge. Keep going
down the marsh, until you start swimming. Swim directly down until you hit an
island. Swim around the island until you see an entrance to get onto it.

On the island should be a bearded, hooded man. He is the Summoner Hermit. Talk
to him, and he'll give you a neutral core. He asks you to get recognition from
all elements. The elements are Wind, Earth, Fire and Water.

 [--------------------------Wind Element---------------------------]

Now that you have the quest, say unstick me to be warped to the OSL. Inside
the OSL, go to the upper right part of the level. Go up the stairs that you
see. In the bottom part of this level should be a white-spirit figure moving
around. This figure is the element of Wind. Talk to the element of Wind and
go back downstairs.

 [-------------------------Earth Element---------------------------]

Once downstairs, go to the bottom part of the OSL level. Walk into the door
going left, which is next to a blue haired man. Inside this level should be a
rock-figure walking around. This rock figure is the element of Earth. Talk to
him to get his part of the neutral core.

 [--------------------------Fire Element---------------------------]

Now, go back to the OSL. From here, go to the Fire Spawn Cave (check the
Locations section for directions). From the entrance of the Fire Spawn Cave,
go to the top-left part of this level. Then walk into the level left of you.
Once in the next level, go to the end of the hallway and into the next level.
Watch out for Fire Spawns as they can kill you if you're not careful.

In the next level is a fire-demon looking figure. He is the element of Fire.
Talk to him to get his part of the neutral core. Now, go back to the OSL.
From outside of the OSL, follow the stone path going right. Follow the path
across the blue bridge. Next to the top right corner of the blue bridge is an
opening for a narrow path. Go into this narrow path. You should see a black
stone and a table in the opening of the path.

 [-------------------------Water Element---------------------------]

Follow the path and go up the path that leads to the top of the cliff. There
are two directions that the cliff goes in, walk on the top part of the
right cliff. Keep walking against the cliff, and eventually you'll walk into a
stone. Now, walk up past a few bushes and you should see a building. This
building has yellow stairs and a chimbney, walk inside it. Inside the building
should be an old man. He talks about his well and how there's no water. Go to
the top side of the well and jump into it like you would jump off a cliff.

You'll be in a small room, walk into the exit of this room. Now, you'll be in
a cliff-hallway with lots of bones scattered around. Just keep walking up
and after three levels of walking, you should see a staircase at the end of
the room. Walk up these stairs and you'll be in a blue-ish room. Walk around
the stairs and go to the bottom of the level, there will be an exit, walk
through it.

Now that you are outside, go around the house and up to the blue and green
path. Follow the blue-green path up, instead of going to the place with
tables. Following the blue-green path, and ignoring the houses, you should see
a water droplet-like figure. He is the element of Water, talk to him.

After talking to him, you'll have all four parts of the neutral core, so
return to the guy who gave you the quest. He'll reward you by giving you a
spell, which allows you to summon your pet. Each account is assigned a pet
determined by the name of their account. I don't know how that system works,
but I know that you cannot change your element.

You have a chance of getting four different element types of summons (the
four elements that you visited).

Every guide needs version updates, it's just to monitor how much i'm doing.
I'm currently on the first release, and i'll be doing my best to keep updating
along with Zodiac. I also included a death counter, because I do get killed
quite often while making this guide. Usually when i'm jotting something down
for locations, someone will walk by and kill me.
