VERSION INFO ****************************************************************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1.00: 4/14/06 - Complete from beginning to end. Who knows when I'll update this... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****************************************************************************** 2. INTRODUCTION ****************************************************************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take one part Castlevania, one part Act Raiser, and what do you get? SV4, baby. SV4(What I'll be referring Super Valis 4 to from now on) is like your typical platforming action title in which you proceed from point A to Point B, Level to Level, and finally encounter the boss of the stage. If you've played any of the 2-D Castlevania titles, you'll know what I'm talking about. One thing to note is this is not the exact same SV4 that was released on the PC-Engine. It's a slightly altered version of the original. ------------------------------ 2.1-| A little about the Valis games | ------------------------------ note: I'm not really good with the storyline of this series, so I won't pretend to be... The original Valis games for the Turbo starred a young school girl named Yuko Ahso/Asao (who has been replaced in this game). She has starred in all the Valis games up until IV. The games have appeared on multiple systems over the years including: the MSX, PC Engine, SNES, Sega Genesis and more. They've all had essentially the same concept; Run through level, gain power-ups, beat boss, more levels, more power-ups, defeat final boss. Some games were ported over to another system with "mixed" results. People often argue on which version of what is superior (as with a lot of ports). ------------------------ 2.2-| About this Valis title | ------------------------ In this game you take on the role of a new character to the series, a young red-head woman named Lena. This young girl has the Celestial Valis Sword bestowed upon her by the Goddess of Valis (and original Valis star), Yuko Ahso. She is the one who must defeat the evil Gallagher, the evil King who is trying to destroy Dream World and all who oppose him and his forces. A bit cliché, but it always seems to work, no? Anyway, Lena knows what she must do in order to protect her land and sets off on a journey to confront the evil King and stop him once and for all! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****************************************************************************** 3. ITEM DESCRIPTIONS ****************************************************************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- 4.1-| Power-Ups | ----------- Throughout the game you'll come across little gray boxes with an icon in the middle of them. These are enhancements that either give you a new offensive Magic Shot or defensive/restorative upgrades. -------------------- ----------------- Offensive Power-Ups Description -------------------- ----------------- Valis Shot Default magic attack. Fires a blue beam directly in front if you. Three-Way Beam Fires 3 blue sparks diagonally into the air. Good for flying enemies. Bomber Fires a huge blue missile directly in front of you. Homing Fires a sort of orange homing missile that seeks out the closest enemy. Good for all types of enemies. Searcher Fires a shot in the shape of a wolf's head that moves along the ground. Great against large groups of enemies on the ground. ------------------- ----------------- Defensive Power-Ups Description ------------------- ----------------- Armor As the name implies, when your character uses this power-up she will become clad in a suit of Blue/Orange armor. You will not take any damage while in Armor mode. (It does wear off after a couple of hits, though) Heart Will restore your health by a set amount twice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****************************************************************************** 5. WALKTHROUGH ****************************************************************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are! The meat 'n' potatoes of this guide: The Walkthrough! Before we get started, there are a few things you should know... ----------------------- 5.1-| Things you should know | ----------------------- 1: I'm composing this walkthrough based off the 'Normal' difficulty setting 2: Be wary of the Boss health bar at the bottom of the screen. It gradually fills throughout the level, so try not to take too long in a stage! (But don't rush through it, though. Most bosses aren't too tough.) 3: Heart Power-ups refill your health. Try not to pass one up! 4: Every 10,000 points you get increases your Max HP by a set amount. Don't ignore too many enemies! [VACT1] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Dead Head, Flying Shears, Lance Guarder + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Three-Way Beam Searcher Shot + +Homing Shot Bomber Shot x2 + +Valis Armor Heart + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 1 - Vecanti ------------------- If your new to playing this game, start off practicing using Lena and her attacks. Try 'em, learn 'em, UTILIZE 'em. Okay, got the gist of how she plays? Good. Continue on to the right taking out the Dead Head, then grabbing the Three-Way Beam and the Searcher power-ups. Take out the three Flying Shears with a Jumping Valis Shot or just run under the first two and quickly slash the third (he tends to move lower than the first two). Anyway, press onward, snagging the Homing power-up, taking out (if you want) the enemies with your upgrades, and finally grabbing the Bomber power-up. Continue to the next screen. Here you have two options: Take the high road, or take the low road. If you want to get straight to the end of the level and face the boss just run straight ahead (taking out a Lance Guarder and Flying Shear on your way) and into the next screen. If you want the Valis Armor, head right and jump from the little hill you get to the lower left platform and continue up the others (to the left) until you can't go left anymore. From there, head on up to the platform on the right, get a good dash in and jump to reach the Armor power-up. Continue taking the high road right, evading the Lance Guarders and flying Shears as best as you can to find a Heart power-up and another Bomber power-up. Exit this screen. *********** * Boss Fight * *********** Name: DS-30 (??) Ability: Boomerang Cutter Heh, this guy is a joke. His attack pattern is nothing you need concern yourself with, for all you have to do is stand in the middle of the screen, switch to your Three-Way Beam power-up and fire away (often dodging his overhead cutters that he fires from above you. Just move to the left or right to avoid them). If you're having trouble staying alive, just activate the Armor upgrade you got and follow the same pattern mentioned earlier. Oh, and if you run out of Three-Way Beams then don't be afraid to try out any of the other power-ups ya got. The Homing Shot works well. After Lena finishes off DS she continues on to Castle Vanity... [VACT2] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Dead Head, Lance Guarder-G, Specter + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Valis Armor Heart x3 + +Homing Shot Three-Way Beam + +Bomber Shot x2 + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 2 - Castle Vanity ------------------- Wow, these enemies can be quite annoying. Well, at least the Dead Heads that fire eyeballs at you! The Easy way out: From where you begin, head all the way right, taking out the Lance Guarder-G and Dead Heads with your D+Y attack in close range (the Searcher works quite well against these guys). Jump on all the platforms going up until you can't anymore then jump to the ledge to your left. Take out the Lance Guarder-G and run all the way left, jump the gap, and head up to the very last platform. Proceed right, seize the Three-Way Beam, take out the 3-4 sets of Lance Guarder-G/Dead Head enemies and exit the screen. The Heart, Homing Shot, Heart way: Find your way to the second set of floating platforms and this time, instead of going all the way up, take the first right you see. You'll see some lone suspended platforms. Jump on the first one, and from there use the Valis Shot to take out the Lance Guarder-G enemies. Proceed from platform to platform snagging the Heart power-up, Homing power-up, and another Heart power-up. Head back to the second set of suspended platforms and go all the way up. Jump to the ledge to the right, grab the Three-Way Beam and exit this screen. Start off by first activating that Three-Way Beam you got earlier. You're going to need it here. Head right and stop at the first long pillar you see. Go behind it and jump to claim a hidden Heart. Continue on, taking out the 3 Lance Guarder-Gs and the two Specters (By now your max HP should have increased). Continue right. Go back to the second large pillar you saw, get behind it, then jump to get a Bomber power-up. Continue on. Be sure to watch out for the enemies who seem to hide behind certain statues. Exit this screen for a Boss battle. ********** * Boss Fight * ********** Name: General Dahlgen Ability: Jump and Fire Easy come, easy go... This guy's a no threat at all. First off, go to the left-most corner and just stand there, firing off whatever Power-up you have currently activated. Seriously, this guy can't even touch you when your in the corner(except with a fireball). Continue to just pound on him with projectiles from afar until he decides to do a small jump from the right corner. Wait for him to jump again, then quickly dash under him to the other side. He will then do another small leap and then one more. Quickly dash back to the left-most side and continue to wail on him with projectiles. Rinse and repeat as necessary. He should be gone in no time. Now that Lena has defeated the first General, she continues on to Babylon... [VACT3] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Statue, Lash, Mechanical Monkey + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Three-Way Beam Homing Shot + +Heart x3 Searcher Shot x2+ +Valis Armor x2 + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 3 - Babylon ------------------- You just gotta love this level's music. If you're nearing 20,000 points, be sure to kill a few more baddies here. Your max HP will increase yet again. Anyway, head on right from where you start, taking either the pillar platforms or the low road. It doesn't matter. When you get to the second hill, take out the Statue, then the one on the bridge while grabbing the Three-Way Beam. Head on right and try and land on the very edge of the next pillar platform. Use the crouching slash to destroy the Statue and get the Homing Shot. Exit right. Continue right, taking out the Mechanical Monkey, then the Statue, but be sure not to stand in that spot too long or else 3 boulders will fall from directly above you. Activate the Homing Shot you just received to make light work of the enemies from here on out. For the first couple of Statues you encounter, attack them from off-screen. It'll help you dodge the falling boulders better. Continue right, dropping into the water to get the 2 Heart power-ups (use one if you have to). Be on your guard throughout the rest of this screen; these enemies can be extremely frustrating. Exit to the right. In this screen it's possible to acquire 2 Valis Armor upgrades. To get the first one, take the high road via the pillar platforms all the way to the end (Don't exit this screen, though!). Defeat the Lash (Boomerang guy) and claim the Valis Armor, Heart, and Searcher Power-ups. Now head back left and drop to the ground. Continue heading left until you reach a Mechanical Monkey. Slowly take the three of them out one a time. Continue just a little more to the left to get the second Valis Armor upgrade. Run all the way back to the right and finally exit this screen for a Boss battle. *********** * Boss Fight * *********** Name: Nornil Ability: Phase Change x3 Alright, now this is what I call a boss battle! It's annoying enough, difficult enough, and it's practically impossible to win without taking a few hits. Begin by activating one of your Valis Armors and run up to her and let her have it with crouching attacks (Don't worry, with the Valis Armor you take no damage). Just pound on her until she starts to blink then back away a bit. She'll now transform into her second phase; a Harpy. Her only attacks in this phase is shooting rings than travel in a sort of U shape and a dive attack (that she uses rarely). The best way to deal with this phase is to stand about 2-3 steps away from her and wait for her to start shooting rings. When they get close to you use a small jump (tap the B button) and fire off a Valis shot at her. She should still be firing off rings so just continue the small jump to Valis shot tactic and she should be gone in about 14 hits. Now the real fight starts. For her final transformation she turns into a Mermaid. Her only attack here is a orange projectile that she fires from time to time. Jump and maneuver them as best as you can. Activate your second Valis Armor (if your first one wore off) and one of your Searcher Shots (NOT the Searcher Shot then Armor!). Run to the right-most corner and dodge every shot she fires. She will eventually pop her head out of the water and fire a direct shot towards you. Jump it and fire off a Searcher Shot her way. Continue this until you run out of Searcher Shots (You may or may not run out before she dies). If she dies before you run out then good job! If you do run out though, just use the Valis shot in the same fashion as the Searcher Shot. Note: You don't have stand in the corner, I myself just found it easier to dodge her projectiles from there. Staying on your toes can be effective, too). Lena has finally conquered Babylon and is now on her way to Valhalla. [VACT4] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Seraph, Death Flower, Sealen, Arch Elf, Athena + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Homing Shot Bomber Shot x2 + +Heart x2 Valis Armor + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 4 - Valhalla ------------------- This is quite a nice looking level, if I do say so myself. Hopefully, by this time you've already got your 3rd Hp increase. Anyway, this scene is just a straight shot to the exit. Taking out the Seraphs give you a whopping 300 points, btw. They're not that tough to kill seeing as it only takes 1 hit for them to go down. Also, just use the crouching slash to take out the Arch Elves, as they also give out 300 points each. Exit this screen right. In this screen, don't even bother with the plant-like creatures. They don't give you any points and they kamikaze themselves. Continue on to the right, and when you reach the end, be sure to snag the Bomber Shot and Homing Shot under the final platform. Exit to the right to enter Valhalla. Start here by dropping to the floor level and heading right. Take out any Seraphs you come across and head all the way up the hanging ledges. Drop down to the left hugging the right wall. You'll eventually land on a ledge with a Heart in sight to your left. Try not to get hit by the Athena Warrior as you drop back down, claiming the Heart Power-up. Make your way back up the ledges to your right and fall back to the left, hugging the right wall and jump to where the Athena is. Give her a good Valis Shot or two when you see her about to attack. Each one you defeat gives you 1,000 points! Turn back right and head up to the upper left platform. Continue on left taking out the two Athena’s and any Seraphs that come your way. Continue up and right when you reach the dead end left. You'll eventually see another Bomber and Heart power-up on a floating platform that you can't reach yet. Continue left, slowly taking out the Athena’s and up the platforms to the upper right. When you get to the 5th one, take your time and take out the Athena guarding the Valis Armor. Continue heading right. When you get on the final small platform before the exit, jump to the one under it and claim the Heart and the Bomber power-up. Drop back down to the right and find your way back to the final small platform and exit this screen to the right (You may have to take out a couple more Athena Warriors, though). *********** * Boss Fight * *********** Name: General Medius Ability: ?????(Fireball) Another annoyance. Great... Start off by activating the Valis Armor you just got, followed by the Homing Shot. He'll start to create a few holograms of himself while floating on-screen and off. There isn't much of a trick to help you elude him when he's floating around, so just try your best to look out for the real one (Even if you get hit you still have the Valis Armor equipped). If your bold, then try hitting him with a Homing Shot when his real form comes into view. After a while he'll come down and fire off a couple of fireballs towards you. If you ran out of Homing Shots then activate your Bomber Shot now. Jump or crouch under the fireballs and fire off 2 or 3 Bomber Shots towards him and retreat. Continue this, dodging him as he flies on and off-screen, and wail on him whenever he lands. If you start running low on health just use the Heart power-ups you acquired throughout the level. Lena has defeated Gallagher's 2nd General and now ventures off to Crystal Pillar. [VACT5] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Tower Gray, Sword Guard, Disc Guarder + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Valis Armor Searcher Shot + +Heart Homing Shot + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 5 - Crystal Pillar ------------------- From where you start, head on right taking out the Tower Gray who stands in your way (Watch out for his orange projectile attack; it'll freeze you if it touches you). Keep on moving right, watching out for the falling Ice Stalactite and the Disc Guarder. Use the crouching attack to take him out. Keep heading right. When you get to the long platforms that move up and down, watch out for the spikes that they hide. Grab the Valis Armor and exit this screen. Head right, killing the Sword Guard by attacking him 2-3 times, retreating back, and attacking 2-3 more times. Do this for the next one you see (If you get caught by one of his Beams, then be sure to jump out of it before you hit a wall or spikes!). Continue right and wait for the moving platform to lower to your level and walk past. Approach the Stalactites (Do not go directly under them!) to make them fall and keep going right. Watch out for the off-screen projectiles that will come at you from the right. Kill the enemy before he freezes you and continue on. From here on out, take your time dealing with the falling Stalactites, Sword Guards, Spikes and Tower Gray enemies. Grab the Searcher and Heart power-ups on your way. Use a Heart or two if you have to. When you get to the rising platforms, make a dash jump towards the Ice Stalactite and in mid-air hold left to make sure your don't get hit by it. Land back on the first rising platform and make a small jump to the third over the spikes. Crouch down and wait for the pillar above you to go back up. Jump to the next pillar and wait for the next ones to rise, covering the spike traps. Keep going, watching out for another -- slightly incognito -- Ice Stalactite, followed by one more towards the end. Get the Homing Shot and exit this screen right for Crystal Pillar's Boss Battle. *********** * Boss Fight * *********** Name: Crystal Pillar Core Room Ability: ????? Talk about easy... Here's how you should handle this boss thingy... From where you start, go back to the left about 1-2 steps, turn back right and don't move from now till the end of the battle. Now that you're in a good position, you need to hit the "Core" - which is the floating orange ball thing behind the Guardian. Whenever you see it move up, jump and fire off a Valis Shot to damage it. When you see him using his beam attacks, simply crouch under the ones he fires directly towards you, and don't even move when he fires off the ones from above. Continue to pound on the Core with the Valis Shots and he'll explode (Note: Don't try and get too trigger happy with the Valis Shots, though. His beams can be shot towards you in mid-air, too). With a little patience he'll go down easily. Lena has now destroyed the Crystal Pillar and rushes off to the Battle on the Reddish Moon. [VACT6] ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Red Moon Meteor, Beyond Lena, Statue + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Heart x4 Homing Shot + +Valis Armor x3 Bomber Shot x3 + +Searcher Shot + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 6 - Reddish Moon ------------------- One of the first things you'll notice about this stage are these floating orange spheres. When these things get close to you they'll explode and reveal a clone of Lena, just for your enjoyment... Well, not really for your enjoyment, actually... Anyway, try and kill the Beyond Lena's as soon as they pop out of the sphere-like things. Continue on right, jumping the gaps in between the 3 platforms to reach a Heart on the far right. Fall down into one of the gaps and head all the way left, grabbing the Valis Armor, Searcher Shot and Bomber Shot. If you haven't committed suicide yet due to the constant swarm of Beyond Lena's in this area then keep heading left to the exit. Hello, and welcome to Annoyance 101. Seriously, this is the most frustrating part of this game. First off, you've got these Orange Ball-like things that come at you from all over, and on top of that there are Statue enemies that love to push you away from them with some sort of invisible aura or something. If your low on health I suggest you not attack the Red Moon Meteors seeing as when you hit them they explode, causing damage. Start off by activating your Valis Armor and start heading right, dodging and eluding as many of the Red Meteors as you can. You're going to want to take the Statue things out with the Bomber Shot if you have it (Searcher may work just as good). Jump on the higher platforms in front of you, ousting the Statues with the Bomber Shot. Continue jumping from platform to platform until you reach a Valis Armor and Heart power-up. Drop to the bottom level and continue right. Go all the way right, jumping the gaps you come across and claim the Heart at the far right of this level. Drop down into the gap to your immediate left and get the Valis Armor. You'll encounter the Boss of this stage. *********** * Boss Fight * *********** Name: General Luzard Ability: Jet Stream Crush Use that Heart power-up you got if you need to (I know I did), followed by one your Valis Armors. Luzard will fire off two laser beams your way, when he does run under them, jump, and slash him once or twice. He'll then come down to the ground. When he does that, crouch down and start slashing like mad! Be sure you are crouching because he will eventually fly over you to the opposite side and float back up out of the screen. Position yourself in the middle of the screen and get ready to jump, because he'll start to fly back and forth (He usually does it low to the ground, hence why I told you to stand in the middle of the screen). When he gets close, jump! Each time he does this just jump over him. Once he's done with that he'll go back into the air and shoot more lasers. Just like before, run under them and use a jumping slash to entice him to come back to the ground (Note: He may just start the charging back and forth attack again. If he does, just dodge them like I told you and you'll be fine). Continue the Jump Slash to crouching slashes to dodging game and he'll go down in due time. Lena has now defeated Gallagher's 3rd General. Now Gallagher, realizing he has no other choice, decides to confront Lena personally. Enter Gallagher... [VACT7] +++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Enemies in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + None + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ +Items in this level:+ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +Heart x5 Three-Way Beam x4 + +Bomber Shot x3 Searcher Shot x2 + +Valis Armor x4 Homing Shot x5 + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------- Act 7 - Gallagher ------------------- There are no enemies here so just collect whatever power-ups you want (I suggest the Heart and Valis Armor) and exit to the right to meet an old friend. *************** * Mini Boss Fight * *************** Name: General Dahlgen Ability: Jump and Fire Pfft. You know how to make like work of this guy. Stay to the far-left and just melee him with Valis shots, being sure to jump over his fireballs. Run under him when he decides to small jump and continue the onslaught. He should die after 40 hits. In this place be sure to grab the two Homing Shots (a Three-Way Beam also, if you wish). Exit this screen to face another familiar foe. *************** * Mini Boss Fight * *************** Name: General Medius Ability: ?????(Fireball) You've dealt with this guy before. Activate the Homing Shot and while running back and forth dodging (to the best of your ability) him as he floats, fire off a Homing Shot when his real form comes into view. When he lands, stand on one of the lower ledges of the platform your standing on and fire whatever Shots you have currently equipped. Lather, rinse, repeat. It should take about 40-50 shots to bring him to his knees. You can also use a Valis Armor if you need to. In this part be sure to take the suspended platforms all the way right to reach a Heart. Exit right to face the last of Gallagher's Generals. **************** * Mini Boss Fight * **************** Name: General Luzard Ability: Jet Stream Crush Is it just me, or does this guy seem faster than before? Anyway, you know the tactic. Jump slash him in the corner, if he comes down then proceed to crouch slash him a couple of times then ready yourself to jump his charging attacks. It should take around 55-60 hits best him. We've finally reached the end of the game. In here be sure to take the suspended platforms to claim a Heart and a Valis Armor power-up. Drop down to the lower level and claim another Valis Armor. Exit to the right to confront... *********** * Final Battle * *********** Name: Gallagher Ability: HP Absorber As Lena confronts Gallagher he says her life will end right now. Lena, believing in herself, tells him she will not die until she restores love and peace to the world. The battle begins... You may have a ton of them, but run to the opposite side of the screen and grab the Valis Armor. He'll begin by tossing some Blue spheres at you that will absorb some of your Hit Points. They can be tough to dodge, but do your best. After a he's done he'll come forth and decides to fight for real. What you need to watch out for is his Freezing Spark attack. Whenever you see a blue spark glowing on his chest that means he's going to use the Freeze Spark. Back away from it at all costs. His other attacks are: He'll toss a couple of orange projectiles at you that travel in horizontal lines, and he'll jump into the air and charge at you downward with his ax. You're going to want to hit him whenever he lifts his Ax out of the way. Try not to get backed into a corner and wail on him when you have the opportunity. Luckily, when you get in a good hit it'll push him away a bit, but only when you hit him when he's on the ground. Run under him whenever he jumps if you find yourself caught in the corner. When you get him down to about 1/2 health he'll use some new attacks. One where he'll jump into the air and fire off 4 HP absorber shots in succession and another where he shoots off 3 blue spheres that bounce when they hit the ground. The former can be easily avoided by running to the opposite side of the screen when he fires off the first shot. Try your best to not have your HP absorbed. That'll just have this long, drawn-out fight last twice as long. Get in a couple of hits whenever you can, always being on your guard. If you've got any Valis Armors left use them! Before long he'll start using one more technique; He'll jump into the air and fire off 3 diagonal spheres directly in front of you. Be sure to run under him when he does this. It's not that hard to avoid. There's not much else to this fight so continue to hit him whenever you can, and with a little patience he'll die. All done? Great. Sit back and enjoy the ending. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****************************************************************************** 6.
