Head left and slash the three enemies, grabbing what goodies they may drop. Move up to the next screen. Note that if you go back down, the three enemies will respawn. You can fight them again for more goodies, or continue on. Slash the enemies, and take the path that leads up. To be successful in this game, using the fact that enemies and objects to respawn in an advantageous manner is key. Grab the little red ball, and exit the screen. You can come back up and down to collect more and more of the ball. I'd get a handful, then head down and take out the enemies for some cash. Exit the screen, then come back. Now, throw money at one of the enemies (their bribe costs are relayed at the start of the level) and it will be on your team. Use more of your money to get one or more enemies to fight along side you, then head up. Grab the other red ball, but this time, use it to burn the plants to the top right by throwing. Take out the enemies, and head down. Take the next batch out, then move right. Head down, and clear the path. Move down another screen, and burn the plants. Take out the enemies, and head o the down right path. Head up and follow the path along while burning the plants that obstruct your path. Head all the way right and you'll come across the plant at the beginning of the level. Gang up on the plant, and take it out. Head left when you do, and go up the top left path while taking out the enemies. Take the tougher enemy out, and then burn the plants to the left. Go up and follow the path left, then up. Burn the plant to the top right near the door, and move right. You'll come across another one of the boss plants. Slash at it relentlessly, and then move left when it's done. Bribe the enemy (you can come back and bribe it again) then exit up through the door to complete the level. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ------------------ LEVEL 2 Destroy the enemy Bat x2 ------------------ Head left and take the enemies out. Head onto the raft and keep moving left, taking out the other enemies. Head on the raft again and move left, then up. Take out the enemies as you head right, and move over the raft again while you take out the other enemies. Head down the next path, and right and up. Since there's no raft, use the shoes (the icon to the far right) and then walk over the water safely. Take the enemies out, then head back and upwards towards the stream. Use the boots again, then move right. Take the enemies out to the lower right, then move right to get to the large bat boss. Take it out, but be weary of it's moving pattern. Wait for it to stop flying about, come down, then start to move up in a straight line. When it move up, THAT'S when you should strike. All other times, you should either avoid taking damage, or use any bombs you may have acquired. Head left over the raft, and continue on taking out the enemies. Move all the way left, and move over the ramp. Watch out for the enemy's ranged shots, and move up a screen. The enemies you'll find can do some damage when they get bunched together, so feel free to use a bomb in this case. Head onto the raft to the right, and take out the enemies, but be sure to make allies out of two of them. Head to the right of the door, and take out the bat with the arrows you've accumulated. Head left and through the door when you've destroyed it. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ------------- LEVEL 3 Destroy the enemy Monster x 2 Statue x 1 ------------- Head down and left, while taking on the foes. Move right, and follow the path along up, then left. You should come across the first monster that you need to destroy. He's surrounded by little round things. Head in between them from the side, and start slashing at him until he's no more. From there, go up right then up again. The little tornado things you pick up from enemies can be used on them. Head right, but watch for the insect that comes up from the ground. Make some friends with the on coming enemies, and head down to the left. Move down again, watch for the oncoming projectiles, then move down again still. Head right, and then finally up while avoiding the numerous obstacles. It's very hard not to get hit, so make use of your allies to swallow up some of the hits instead of you. Hey, that's what you're paying them for, ain't it? Head right for the next monster, and hurl your tornadoes at him while you rush in to slash him up. Move left when you've taken him out, and watch for the insects up above before heading left again. Go up, create some allies, then keep heading up until you see the door. Head right after the insects pass, then move on to take out the boss. When it's out, go left and through the door. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ -------------- LEVEL 4 Destroy the enemy Water Monster x 2 -------------- Head right and take the enemies out. Go down, and follow the path along while you take out the enemies. To the left will be one of the two ice enemies you have to take out. When he forms up, and he's close enough slash at him. When he's far away, shoot arrows at him. Do this while avoiding his attacks, and you should be fine. Continue on, and be sure to fight most if not all of the enemies you come across so that you can get some goodies. Keep following the linear path, and take the down path at the fork to get to the other water monster. Take him out using the same method, and then head up twice, then left, and down. Move on to exit through the door. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ---------------- LEVEL 5 Destroy the enemy Beast statue x 2 Statue x1 ---------------- Head down, then left. Head up and continue down and up again and again, to take out the little enemies, and make some money. Head up and take the enemies out. Follow the path along that leads up to a narrow space. Move left, and take out the bad guys. Make an ally, and move up and right. Keep heading right, and you'll come across the first boss. This boss can deal some heavy damage if you're not careful. He jumps from right to left. To beat him, wait till after he jumps, then slash. When he jumps away, wait. When he jumps towards you, move away. Keep this up, and though it may take a little more, you'll take him out with minimal damage. Head down and right from there. Move down again, and make some allies. Take the left down-ish path past the smoke that pops up from the side, and follow the path up. Also, don't walk through the smoke/steam, wait till they retract. Head down, past the stature faces, for the next boss. As you've taken him out before, repeat the same method. Carefully head right to avoid the steam, and take the far right path and stick upwards to get to the last monster. Take him out and head down exit to finish the level. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ -------------- LEVEL 6 Destroy the enemy Monster x 3 -------------- Head right and fight the enemies, then turn down, and take the path right. Move down, and take on the other enemies, for goodies, then move down and then left. Take out the first of the three monsters. Follow the path right, and take out the enemies, be friending a couple of them. Head up and move right. Watch for the burrowing insects. Move down, left, then down again. Follow the path through while watching out for the green balls. You should come across the second monster to the right. Take him out with your reinforcements. Move left, then up and take on the other enemies. This is also an opportunity to get another man with you if you happened to lose one. Move left and show the snakes and assorted enemies who's boss. Head up, and use any bombs you have for the tougher enemies. Take a right and follow the top path. This should lead to the last of the three monsters. Take him out, and head left. Move though to the exit. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ---------- LEVEL 7 Destroy the enemy Bat x 4 Statue x 1 ---------- Go right and slay the oncoming enemies. Cross the raft, and then cross it to the left up. Take out the enemy, then go right. Continue the path right and you should come across the first bat enemy. His patterns are the same, so take him out. Head up and towards the left. From there, head right across the stream. Keep heading up along the stream, and head right again for the second bat enemy. Head left when you've taken it out, and then go down. Grab an ally or two by zone repeating, and then head left and you should get to the other bat boss. When you've taken the boss out, take the lower right path across, then up and to the lower left towards the next stream. Head up and right at the stream, then to the left. There should be two enemies that can be turned into allies. Head up and left, and you'll be at the bat boss. Head right and take the raft down. Befriend the two enemies, then move back up and left. Take the up right path, then go down. There will be enemies along the way. Cross the stream to the lower right, and take the path with the rafts up, then right. The statue enemy should be to the right of the door. Take it out with your comrades, then exit to complete the level. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ------------- LEVEL 8 Destroy the enemy Beast statue x 3 ------------- Head left, then up as you take on the enemies. Move to the up right section after watching the steam from the sides of the walls, and head down. Move past the statues down, and then take a left. Watch for the projectiles, and take a right at the bottom path. Follow the path along and you'll get to the first jumping monster. Heal if you need to, but take your time and try to avoid taking damage. Head right and befriend the two guys. Turn left and move through. Go up and follow the path. There will be strong enemies, so feel free to use any bombs you may have acquired. Move up and then left past the narrow steam path and keep moving. You'll come across the second beast. Head to the lower left path when you've taken the boss out, and move down the path carefully. Use dynamite on the stone statues that close in on you. Follow the path with the enemies peppering it, and continue through to the final beast monster. Take 'em out (take your time) and then move up and right to exit. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ ------------- LEVEL 9 Destroy the enemy Plant monster x 4 ------------- Follow the path right and combat the enemies. Eliminate the barrage of frogs and continue. Head through and burn the plants. Besides the different array of monsters, the level is very reminiscent to the first level, so things should be fairly simple to navigate, for the most part. Keep following the path along, and you'll come across the first plant monster. Take him out and then get ready for the next on the list of monsters to take out. Keep going and make some allies along the way. Head along the main path, burning any plant obstructions. When you move up to the spot where there are two recruitable enemies, head left for the second plant boss. Take the top path after destroying the plant to get to the next one. Take it out and keep moving. Head on and towards the left an up past the two recruitable enemies. Follow the path past the door and take out the final plant. Exit through the door. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ --------------- level 10 Destroy the enemy Water monster x 3 Statue x 1 --------------- Head up and follow the path while taking the enemies out. Past the two enemies that can be bribed will be the first water monster. Take it out with slashes and ranged weapons. Continue along once you've taken it out. Take out any enemies so you can get arrows. Bribe a couple enemies if you've got the coin. You'll come across the statue monster. Take it out and then head down for the next water monster. Take the right path and you'll eventually come across an area with four enemies that can be bribed. Be careful not to get the attention of all of them. Take them out one by one or avoid them altogether. Head up and take a right. To the far right is the final water monster. Take it out. Be sure again to watch for it's projectiles and take your time in taking him out of commission. Take the top left path and then go up. Follow it along for the exit. _________ __ / _____// |______ ____ ____ \_____ \\ __\__ \ / ___\_/ __ \ / \| | / __ \_/ /_/ > ___/ /_______ /|__| (____ /\___ / \___ > \/ \//_____/ \/ --------- FINAL STAGE --------- Head right and take out the first plant boss. When you've taken it out, move along. Take out the minion, then move right for the bat boss. Head down for some rudimentary enemies. Heal up and head right for the monster enemy that's surrounded by the little balls. Take him out then head right and take out the other enemy that can be bribed. Heal up if necessary, and head right for the beast enemy. This stage is a test of endurance, so take your time and remember the strategies for the boss monsters. Head up then right for the statue boss. Bribe an enemy or two if you need to before, or to the right of the statue enemy. Head right and slash away at the imprint on the ground. Keep slashing it, and if it retracts its head, you may be able to prevent it from moving. Deal enough damage and there will be a cut scene. Congratulations! The ending message is very sweet.
