Shoot down the trees that block your path to advance. Break the wooden crate just to the right when you head through the now clear path for a POW block to increase your weapon hit power. Now head to the left while fighting off more soldiers and shoot down the house to clear this path. Break the two crates here while avoiding the soldier's shots for more energy and more megabombs. Once you're ready, head to the upper right corner for the boss battle. A large jet will appear over the cliffside above. It just floats around in the sky, stops, and then fires down at the ground. It's pretty easy to avoid the shots if you stay near the top before it shoots and then move down right as it's about to shoot. You can also easily avoid its shots by standing to a far side from it. You can't shoot it from the lowest point of this area so you do have to move up. Try to stand off to the side and just shoot diagnolly at it. If you have megabombs, just use them here to make quick work of the jet. ___________________ Stage 2 ___________________ Head upwards and to the left while killing all the soldiers in your way. Break the first block for a pow block to power up your weapon. The next crate to the left has a flame thrower but the range on your now powered up rifle is better so you may want to stick with it. Hop in the jeep and start driving upwards along the path. Break the crate right before the road narrows for some extra energy and drive over the landmines. You won't take damage but the jeep will explode. Now follow the path upwards. Break the two crates ahead for more megabombs and energy. Now the map will serpentine upwards. There will be plenty of massive tanks here that you can destroy so they stop shooting. After a few turns, you will reach a tank that blocks the path. Break the crate just to the left for a weapon power up and then destroy the tank. Continue forward when the path is clear. The next crate will have a health pick up. Run onto the bridge when you reach it for the boss of this stage. This armored vehicle will only drive straight up and down, never side to side. The tank has 3 different attacks. It has two machine guns, one on each bottom corner that will only shoot in straight lines and they aim randomly. It also shoots a homing missile, which you can shoot down, but will follow you around the screen. The final attack is a fireball that shoots towards you but will travel in a straight line. Make sure to always stay on a side and just avoid the fireballs while you shoot down the missils and get any shots on the tank that you can. If your gun is fully powered up by now, it will be an easy fight. ___________________ Stage 3 ___________________ Start heading to the upper left corner, breaking the crates here and pick up the max energy and point power ups first. Quickly destroy the barracks to prevent more soldiers from appearing. Now break the right crate for weapon power up and continue upwards and across the bridge to the left. Break the crate for some more health and continue upwards, either destroying or avoiding the cannons as you approach them. When you go up the stairs, avoid the cannons on the tower. Move to the left so you're between both cannons and just keep shooting the tower until it explodes, destroying both cannons in the process. Coninue upward through the new opening, killing the soldiers in your path. Follow the path upwards. The path is pretty wide. The right side is a lot more clear but the left side has some items, a weapon power up and some extra health. When you reach the top, enter the opening in the middle for the boss of this stage. This boss is a giant attack helicopter and is actually really easy to deal with. It only has a machine gun on its front and back. It will fly left and right only. Looking at the two cockpit windows of the helicopter, if you stay as high up in the area under the right of the two cockpit windows, neither machine gun will hit you. This is only a spot you can be in when the helicopter is in its left position. Make use of that and avoid the machine gun fire as it moves or sits in its right position. You shouldn't have much problem defeating this boss without taking any damage knowing that spot to sit in. ___________________ Stage 4 ___________________ This stage will start with a crate containing a flame thrower if you'd like to use it. Start moving through the water while killing all the soldiers in the way. This section lasts for a while. Once you reach the coast again, you'll have to destroy a house soldiers spawn out of in order to continue. There will be another water section with boats. When you destroy a couple, you can actually use one. Head straight up and you will reach a bridge with multiple soldiers on it, shoot at it to destroy it to continue. Head up along the water towards the upper right corner. You'll find 4 crates up here, a shotgun, energy, megabomb, and weapon power up. Once ready to proceed, cross the bridge to the left. Climb the stairs on the other side of this bridge to enter the boss battle of this stage. You will have to fight a large battleship. The battleship has a large cannon on the front and back that will fire shells high in the air that will land down and blow up. You can see the shadows as they fly by. There's also a cannon on the center of the ship that shoots in a straight line towards you. The ship will only move left or right in the water. The cannons on the side will shoot the vertical area that you're in so if you're close to the ship, it'll land high, if you're at the bottom, it'll land low. Alternate where you are up and down while you avoid the machine gun. Keep firing at it until it explodes. ___________________ Stage 5 ___________________ Start off by breaking the crate for a weapon power up. Start moving up while killing the soldiers that block your path. You'll run into a large tank that you don't have to destroy but you should. You'll likely take damage passing it if you don't destroy it first. Destroy the next tank as well. Shortly after the second tank, you'll find a health pick up out of a wooden crate. Continue upward from here while fighting off more soldiers and tanks. Soon you will get behind a tank and go down a long alley to enter the boss of this stage. This train is pretty tough to deal with. It starts with you trying to catch up to the train on a small platform while it fires missiles at you that you have to avoid. Soon, you will catch up to the train. It has two different sections. One is a large cannon that just shoots one big cannon ball to the left. The other is a row of machine guns. The cannon is easy to avoid until it fires while moving. The machine guns are just random and really hard to avoid. You can only damage the sections with the guns, not the areas in between the guns too, making it hard to avoid and deal damage. If you have megabombs, save them for when the train stops moving and deal as much damage as you can until it explodes. ___________________ Stage 6 ___________________ Move up along the right side of the road to avoid a tank. There's a crate here for a weapon power up if you want it. Now switch sides and move along the left side of the road to avoid another tank. The crate after that tank just has a shotgun. After a small roadblock area is a set of crates containing energy, weapon power ups, and a shotgun. Head to the left in this area to proceed. Head up through the hallway to fight off some soldiers. Watch for the turrets on each side of the hallway. Once you pass the hallway, head to the right. Pick up the megabombs and move upwards through another hallway filled with turrets. Once you pass this hallway, continue to the left. Break the crate for a max health pick up and continue upwards. You'll enter a hanger area. Break the first crate for health while avoiding the gunfire from the stationary jets. Continue through the hangert while killing the soldiers blocking your path. At the end of the path, head to the upper left corner and shoot down the fence blocking your path. Proceed just a bit further to enter the boss battle of this stage. Here you will fight a missile base. It remains completely stationary. All it does is fire three artillery shells that go straight up and then drop down. The shells are pretty simple to avoid by just moving in a straight line. You can circle the room and just keep moving to avoid them. If a shell lands while you're turning in a corner, you may not be able to move enough to avoid damage. Use your megabombs here as it's hard to time everything to avoid all shots. Just keep firing at it as you can until it dies. ___________________ Stage 7 ___________________ This entire level is a boss battle and a simple one at that. It has two guns that shoot at you, the two gray circles right in front of the propellar. Shoot at those first to destroy them and to remain safe yourself. Now just shoot at each of the two propellars to destroy the engines and that's it. If shooting the propellar isn't working, try shooting the engine just to the left of them.
