[00010] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I- Intro [00001] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are no FAQs or walkthroughs for this anywhere, and it's pretty hard. I decided that since no one did it it's because the puzzle mode is frustrating at some point, because people try it and just stop thinking it will be too hard. And since I could finish it, maybe I should show to the world how possible it is. Well, I can detail more in the next version (IF I do any update). This game wasn't by far the first one of the genre I've played. But it was the first one that made me give up so many times. And I'm not a person who run from the fate of succedding and defeating enemies that I failed before. I'm Brazilian, so I hope my english is good enough for everyone to understand. Last, puzzle games are just so amazing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- II- Story [00002] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Robotnik's robots are testing the machine, if I'm not mistaken. Well, it's really not important. In case you're wandering, there are 30 lessons to be played. Some of them are very challenging. You can call the lessons stages, levels, rounds, whatever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- III- Basics [00003] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, how to play can always help. So, even if you already know how to play, this section can prove useful by making you remember a command or two. Oh, I'm not covering scoring, attacking, opponents, second screen, big bean and that big-bunny-eared bean that comes in other modes (I called it 'weird' on password section). Puzzle mode has only one screen, 12 beans-high, 6 beans- large, with a pre-set number of beans already wandering for your solution, most of the times (some can make you go away from the solution, there are tricks). Directional: it moves your pair of beans, as it will slowly fall, press left or right to move it in these directions, and down if you want to accelerate the fall. You can see on 'Next' shown on right to see what will come next. Button 1: turn your pair to the left, like a wheel, centered on the bean that comes to the screen first. Button 2: Same of 1, except that the wheel is turned right. Pause: if you want to quit the level, this option will show when you pause the game. Select yes to see the password and then restart the lesson. Reset: the game when reseted go back to the title screen, and it doesn't keep the passwords this way. Dropping pairs making four or more beans get together (vertically or horizontally, not diagonally) will make them be eliminated from the screen. If the screen is filled with beans that don't get together in groups of four, it's game over. This is how to lose. Next section tells you how to win. But do not worry as there are infinite continues, and you'll probably need some even if you're playing exactly as I wrote in the solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IV- Types of Puzzles [00004] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For puzzle mode, you win when you fill the pre-requisites of each stage, they can vary to: - Eliminate all beans: you have to make the remaining bean of this all be eliminated, and you won't receive extra of them. Just the other colors. - Eliminate N beans at a time: make N of the beans get together at once. N being a number, integer. - Eliminate N waves of beans: make a combo of N waves, it means make them get together in a way that the first move will trigger the next one, and so on, in a chain of moves. - Let 10 pairs drop in: this is only one of the lessons, a lot of refugees will be in the game and you have to survive 10 pairs. - Eliminate all beans: it means you have to get the beans together in a way that in the end you have an empty screen. - Eliminate refugee beans: these are the black or gray beans, used on attacking, they are pre-set beans for puzzle mode in many lessons, but you'll never receive more of them in puzzle mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V- How do I read the FAQ? [00005] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lesson: Your objective is written here, the game will tell you the same way. Screen: You can see the initial screen here as the game shows. Or if it's empty, I won't put anything. Beans are: R = Red G = green B = blue Y = yellow P = pink X = refugee, gray, black, air, whatever you call it. O = anything, not important, if it doesn't mess with the combinations. | | next | | | | | | | | | | --- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | -------- This is me drawing. It won't get much better. | | next | | |R| | | |R| | | --- | X| | O BP| | R GBP| | YGBP| | RYGB| |XRYGBP| |XRYGBP| |XRYGBP| -------- If you understood it, including the falling pair, then it's ok. Next: Some lessons will give you just one or two kinds, others will let you have whatever you don't need. Solution: This is the reason you searched for the FAQ, right? Or maybe you should be trying to solve them alone... too hard? So read it, I'll try to be as specific as I can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VI- The Puzzles - Walkthrough [00006] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lesson 1: Eliminate all red beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | R R | | R R | | R R | | B B | | BRBRB| | BRBRB| | BRBRB| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next, except red. Solution: Too easy, wait for a blue one and throw it in the middle. You can use 2 blue beans and use them on the sides, which will make you ... wait for 2 blue beans, still easy. Oh, some yellow, pink, green, will ocasionally show up, use that empty space on left to store them, I really don't expect the blue one to take so long to come... | | next | | |O| | | |O| | O | --- | B | | R R | | R R | | R R | | B B | | BRBRB| | BRBRB| | BRBRB| -------- As you see, blue and any other, including blue again. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 2: Eliminate 10 beans at a time. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | XXXX| | PXXX| | GPPP| | YGGG| | BYYY| |RRRBBB| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Many. Making 10 beans disappear at once isn't really difficult. But using the beans already set on screen is much faster. Throw one red bean in the left corner to make them four. Others will all go away with the flow, 16 is more than 10, so you win. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | XXXX| | PXXX| | GPPP| |O YGGG| |R BYYY| |RRRBBB| -------- You don't have to do exactly 10, really. I can this play "Step-down Trick". - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 3: Eliminate all red beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | R | | R | | X | | R | | R | -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next, except red. Solution: Since you're getting no reds, and this is a very common stage (get used to it), you'll have to make the 4 of them... reunite. And since you get anything, just blow the intruder between them with four of another color. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | R | | RG | | XG | | RG | | RG | -------- This will do, you can take it away in many ways. Green was the color I got the most when playing... - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 4: Eliminate 3 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | | | | | YBR | | YBR | | YBR | -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Well, for waves you can say 'combo'. So all you have to do is make a 3 wave combo. I show a possibility, but with 3 colors, you can do it in infinite ways. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | YBO | | BRR | | YBR | | YBR | | YBR | -------- It took me a little while to get red+blue together, maybe the pairs are the same all times... - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 5: Let 10 pairs drop in. Screen: | | next | | |O| |XXXXXX| |O| |XXXXXX| --- |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Play. That's the solution every one will realize to this one. It's the only 'let in' lesson, so you won't have to do it again. Well, playing at this height is annoying, but if the right color come, you win by eliminating the extras. If you don't, restart. | OO | next |ORRRRO| |O| |XXXXXX| |O| |XXXXXX| --- |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| |XXXXXX| -------- If you're lucky, red will come a lot, and you can do this quickly. Luckier would be getting pairs of the same color. It's just 10 pairs, anyway, you probably won't have time to remove much of them. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 6: Eliminate 11 beans at a time. Screen: | | next | | |R| | | |R| | | --- | | | | | | | | |X XX X| |X XX X| |X XX X| |X XX X| -------- Next: Only red will come in. Solution: Well, this is the first tricky stage, but not hard, really. You just have to take advantage of the field, and the horizontal dropping. Do this in any order you want: | | next | | |R| | | |R| | R | --- | R | |R | |R R | |R RR | |X XX X| |XRXX X| |XRXX X| |XRXXRX| -------- See the trick? You can do it on the right side if you want. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 7: Eliminate 4 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |Y| | | |G| | | --- | | | XX| | XX| | XX| | YR| |XXXXBB| |XXXXBR| |XXXXRR| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. First ones will be green-yellow, blue- yellow, green-yellow, green-green. Solution: Seems like combo stages have pre-set pairs, at least the first five. Well, you just have to use the field again, but if you fail, you can try the lesson 4 trick, with one more pillar... | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | XX| | Y XX| |G YBXX| |GGGYYR| |XXXXBB| |XXXXBR| |XXXXRR| -------- This will do. The four first pairs are the default solution. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 8: Eliminate all beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | | | G | | BG | | GBR | | BRRG | -------- Next: Only red and blue will come in. Solution: Easy, easy. The first pair will most probably be the only one in the solution. It goes: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | BR | | | | | | G | | BG | | GBR | | BRRG | -------- As you don't receive green beans, you need to be careful not to let reds our blues get stuck below the green ones here. This is the only way to lose it. Oh, when the greens are out, just position reds and blues in a combo to make all of them be eliminated at once, just in case you get a one-colored piece in the beginning (or you can blend it in the combo). - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 9: Eliminate all blue beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- |XPXXXX| |XXXBXX| |XXGGXR| |RXXGXR| |RXXXXR| |RPBXPX| |XPPXBP| |XBXXXP| -------- Next: You only get red, green and pink. No yellows. Solution: This is hell. Actually, the gate of hell, since you'll get even harder lessons later. It took me many time to figure this out. But since I found the solution, I'm writing it so you won't have to kill yourself. First, this is hard because you get random pieces, and have to play with them to make the four blue beans meet in the bottom, so you have to dig a lot. But just digging will let you stuck on something like this: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | | | | | | | B | | BBXB | -------- So you'll have to restart it if the gray one hides that way. Well, start with the pink, then go for the reds on the right. Then avoid the green triplet holding the highest blue there, .. reason? They're the solution. You have to eliminate all the pinks in the field first. Preferrably the reds before, too. These greens are the only way to avoid the hiding gray bean. Extra greens will come, just be sure to not let the ones already in the field be gone, until you get this: | | next | | |O| | O | |O| | G | --- | | | | | | | | | B | | G | | GG | | BBXB | -------- You'll have more than this on the screen, trust me. But see what happens after avoiding the green and finishing with the pinkies? Just one green to the victory. Was that too hard? - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 10: Eliminate all beans. Screen: | | next | BB | |R| | | |R| | | --- | B B | | G P | |BP GB| |GY YP| |GR RP| |YYRRYY| |GYPGYP| |GPPGGP| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. First one will be red-red. Solution: This is just a quick lesson. Red-red goes in the middle, if you miss or stomps in the little obstacle, these blue beans will fall and you'll probably lose. So just follow the solution and watch the little show: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | B B | | G P | |BP GB| |GYBBYP| |GRRRRP| |YYRRYY| |GYPGYP| |GPPGGP| -------- Getting used to eliminate them? - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 11: Eliminate 5 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | G | | RPP | | RRBP | | YBYP | | PYBR | | PYBR | | GYRYX| | GGRYY| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Get a hat. Many hair-losing stages ahead. Well, since I'm here, don't get a hat. Well, you decide that. This lesson is essencially simple because of the little gray intruder... he kind of marks the spot, you just have to attack there with a pillar of one color, green, probably. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | G | | RPPOY| | RRBPG| | YBYPG| | PYBRG| | PYBRG| | GYRYX| | GGRYY| -------- You'll need a green-yellow to do this , but sometimes, the extra beans you put in the top make a new wave or two, ... luck, luck. It goes just the same with blues, if the come more often, just don't mess with the structure itself, or you can make it value less waves... - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 12: Eliminate all beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | R | -------- Next: Red and yellow, only. Solution: This is a joke. Laugh a little. Ok, now the solution. You just have to clean the field there, one combo will do it: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | R | | Y | | | | R | | YYY | | RRR | -------- This is just one of the many possibilities that make everything disappear at once. Don't tell me you got stuck on this level, it's too easy. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 13: Eliminate 4 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | X | | XGX | | GPG | | PBR | | PBG | |X RRPX| |XPRBBX| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Another easy one. One red-green pair is all you need to trigger the victorious combo. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | X | | XGX | | GPG | | PBR | | GPBG | |XRRRPX| |XPRBBX| -------- Or the lesson 4 trick, if you screw the entire field. Restarting is easier, though. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 14: Eliminate refugee beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| |BBBGGG| --- |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBXXX| -------- Next: All kinds of them. Solution: When you have a field like this, getting to the bottom isn't hard. Actually, it depends on the pairs you get, but green-blue ones will come and give some of this: | | next | B | |O| | G | |O| |BBBGGG| --- |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBGGG| |GGGBBB| |BBBXXX| -------- And those gray will be soon gone. Just be sure to turn the pair upside down if the next wall is blue. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 15: Eliminate 5 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |Y| | | |Y| | | --- | | | | | P | | GB | | GGRY | | YGBY | |PYRBR | |PGGRPP| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. First ones will be yellow-yellow, green- pink, red-blue, green-yellow, red-pink, green-blue, red-yellow, etc... Solution: Well, another tricky one. First, you need to think, left or right? And I say right. Well, there is more than one solution, and mine was the guess and try. Since you want a solution as if you're already here it's your hair that is falling, well, count to 10 and then see this: | | next | | |O| | R| |O| | Y| --- | G | | P GB | | Y PG | | Y GB | |RGGRYY| |PYGBYB| |PYRBRR| |PGGRPP| -------- With this, the pinks will form the last one on the left. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 16: Eliminate 9 beans at a time. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | P | | G | | YP | |PPPYG | |GGGYB | |XRRBBG| |BBBYYY| |RRRBBB| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: If you already eliminated 11, how hard can 9 be? The field already has 9 blue beans positioned in a very nice way. Use your greens on the right and you shouldn't have problem. Just don't mess with the blue, or you'll be using the lesson 2 trick again. Step-down trick. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | P | | G | | YPY| |PPPYGG| |GGGYBG| |XRRBBG| |BBBYYY| |RRRBBB| -------- Well, this is an easy lesson... - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 17: Eliminate 4 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |R| |XX RR| |R| |RR XX| --- |XX GG| |GG XX| |XX XRR| |RRXXXX| |XXXXGG| |GGXXXX| |XXXXRR| |RRXXXX| -------- Next: Only pairs of red. Solution: Hell stage. Doesn't it look like a hole of fire and lava? The green parts are the -- whatever, see, the solution is not hard, actually, you'll probably laugh at yourself for not thinking about that earlier. First thing: kill the right side. Why? because it won't mess up with the left, .. ok, throw two pairs in the fourth column and you'll have: | | next | | |R| |XX | |R| |RR | --- |XX G| |GG GX| |XX RR| |RRXXXX| |XXXXGG| |GGXXXX| |XXXXRR| |RRXXXX| -------- Another one on the fourth will bring it down and you can put two new reds on the third column: | | next | | |R| |XX | |R| |RR | --- |XX | |GGR | |XXR | |RRX | |XXX | |GGXX | |XXXXRR| |RRXXXX| -------- With this, throw these new two on fourth, and the next two on fifth will trigger your victory: | | next | | |R| |XX | |R| |RR R | --- |XX R | |GGR | |XXR | |RRXR | |XXXR | |GGXX | |XXXXRR| |RRXXXX| -------- See? Refugees make good helpers in hell... the last one is there, waving to you, smile! There are worse stages. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 18: Eliminate 5 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |R| | GBG | |R| |B R | --- |B R | | GBG | | | | | | BGB | |R G | |R G | | BGB | -------- Next: Only pairs of red again. Actually, you're used to that already, right... Solution: I hate these air bean stages. They're so quick, I can't even think of a second solution. Well, I almost forgot to check the next pairs when writing the solution. Only red will get you to a impossible situation if you miss the first shot. But you won't, it's too simple: | | next | | |R| | GBG | |R| |B R | --- |B R | | GBG | | | |R | |RBGB | |R G | |R G | | BGB | -------- When things fall, the squares will be eliminated one after another. Next. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 19: Eliminate all red beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | RXR| --- | RXR| | RXR| | BBB| | RRR| | BBB| | RXR| | RXR| | RXR| -------- Next: Yellow, green, and blue, only. No pink this time. Solution: A nice lesson, actually. Not hard, but quite annoying. The long time type. When you take some time with the same try, pairs start coming faster, so try to do this quickly: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | O RXR| --- | Y RXR| | BRXR| | OBBB| | YBRRR| | YYBBB| | OORXR| | OORXR| | OORXR| -------- Step-down Trick. Remember from lesson 2? If you don't get the yellows so early, you can try it with green too. Just see that the blues need that different one in the middle, if it's the same they'll mess up and some reds will still be on the field, making it impossible. It can take more than one try, but it won't hold you for long. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 20: Eliminate all beans. Screen: | | next | | |R| |YBRPYB| |R| |YYRRYY| --- |GBPPBX| |BBPBBR| |YXXPPX| |YBRBRP| |YXBBYR| |XGGGXY| |YRXPPY| |YRRPRY| -------- Next: Red and yellow, only. Actually, just one yellow will show up in the second pair, then, just red. Solution: See the big picture. It took me some time to write it here, so have a little appreciation. For the game, you can try many things with the yellow and you'll see that most of times, one or two pinks on the right will still be there, with some reds. And reds you get more than you need later, but pink, not. Well, if you don't drop the beans exactly as this, you won't pass this one: | | next |RR R | |R| |YB R | |R| |YY | --- |GB | |BB | |YXRR R| |YBRBRP| |YXBBYR| |XGGGXY| |YRXPPY| |YRRPRY| -------- First, the two reds on the left, then the yellow with the red up. You'll get a little sequence, and then this hole will be the proof that you have only four pink beans remaining, that's only what you need to pass. Make a final red game like the screen above, and you'll just need to catch the red beans on the floor in the end. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 21: Eliminate 18 waves of beans. Screen: |GY RYB| next |PPPBPB| |B| |GYYBRR| |P| |GGBGRP| --- |YYRGYP| |PBRGBP| |RBRYBR| |BRGYPR| |BGYBPR| |RPGYBP| |RPGYBP| |RPGYBR| -------- Next: The pink-blue pair is all you need. Solution: This is a bonus. Watch the show as it's pretty cool, actually. =) - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 22: Eliminate all red beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | |R R| |B RB| |B PB| |BXX PG| |GGG GG| |BRRRBB| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next, except red. Solution: This is easy. Actually, this is too easy. Just eliminate the pinks first. You don't even need to wait for the pink-green pair, you can do it in steps. Oh, careful with the initial beans, of course. | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | G | | P | |R R| |B RB| |B O PB| |BXX PG| |GGGPGG| |BRRRBB| -------- Reds will form a horizontal line of six, and on to the next one. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 23: Eliminate all red beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | B R| |RGGP B| |BGBBPB| |BPBPPG| |GGGPGG| |BRRRBB| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next, except red. Solution: Looks like an evolution on the one before. Don't be tricked. There are 3 blues at the left pillar this time, and you first need to take out the new parts with a green. Second part will be easier. Put the blue there, and make sure it's just one. But if it's a pair of blues, put the other one above the red in the left... you just need to take out the reds, right? | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | O | | G R| |RO B| |BB B| |BP RG| |GGG GG| |BRRRBB| -------- Horizontal line of six again, pretty, huh? - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 24: Eliminate 11 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | R | |B| | YR | |B| | YR | --- | GRB | | GXP | | GRPY| | BYRBY| | XYGYB| | PBGYB| |YPPBRP| |YYBBRP| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. First ones: blue-blue, yellow-yellow, blue-pink. Solution: Well, this looks like a monster with seven heads. Eleven, actually. Seven- eleven. Whatever anyway, cause it's just a matter of position. Look: Y | Y | next | R | |O| | YR | |O| | YR | --- |P GRB | |B GXP | | GRPY| | BYRBY| |BXYGYB| |BPBGYB| |YPPBRP| |YYBBRP| -------- Yes, you can drop beans out of the screen, and they will go down. They can participate on waves, but not in direct 1-wave games. This combination will give you exactly 11 waves of beans, but you could try making it a bigger combo if you're planning to think of a different solution. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 25: Eliminate 18 beans at a time. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | G | | GY| | RGY| | PRY| | PGR| | PGY| | BGY| |BB RBY| -------- Next: All kinds of beans can come on next. Solution: Now we're talking. 18 beans at a time is pretty tough, right? Not if you pay attention to this screen. Well, you can't predict what's needed now? So I'll draw for you: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | P | --- | PG | | PGY| | RGY| | PRY| | BPGR| | RPGY| | RBGY| |BBRRBY| -------- When you do these improvements, you'll get the idea, so ladder those beans to take the reds out: | | next | | |O| | O | |O| | R | --- | | | PGY| | PGY| | PGY| | RRR| | OPGY| | OPGY| | OPGY| -------- Watch for the pinks in the process, and let's get going. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 26: Eliminate 18 beans at a time. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | -------- Next: Red and yellow, only. Solution: Another hell stage. Clear screen for a start. Any ideas? Well, 18 beans, you have the same mission than before, but now, you have only two colors of beans. How bad can it be, right... but for the solution now, first: forget about lesson 25. Boo-hoo. There is no way to line those beans like that with two colors, and second: start to remember the real lesson from the past, say... lesson 2. The step-down trick. Here's what you should do: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | | | | Y O| |YYYR R| |RRRY | |YYYR | |RRRYR | |YYYRR | -------- Any extra yellow, throw it in the right corner. Or left if you follow the schedule on the other corner. And believe me, you'll get far more yellow beans than reds. So this will take a while. But if I could take 28 at once, 20 is incredibly possible =) - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 27: Eliminate all blue beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | |BBB BB| |RRR BR| |XXX RR| |BBB BB| |XXX RR| |RRRGRB| |BBBGBB| -------- Next: All but blue. Solution: This lesson made me lose hair, try so many times that I gave up the game,.. twice. Actually, it's impossible. Give up. Run while you can. Ok, ok, let's talk about the solution. Happier? So. You have a bunch of red beans between a bunch of blue beans that has to be taken down all at once. Right? So you have to make a big pillar of ready waves and the reds on top so you can take all of them in one shot, right? Right? Wrong! 100% wrong. You don't have enough screen to do something like that. So you'll have to take one side before the other. And which one? Left. Wide side. Start by throwing green on the green and you'll take out the first refugee near them. Then use another color to take out the second. Getting a green-green pair can make both of them disappear at once: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | | --- | | |BB BB| |RR BR| |XXB RR| |BBR BB| |XXB RR| |RRR RB| |BBB BB| -------- Next step, take out the reds near the top. It will make the waves of all left side disappear and the extra beans ocasionally there become floor. And then, after taking out the final reds and seeing the last blues disappear from this side, you can concentrate on the right side, which should be way simplier now, with the.. Step-down trick! Any color will do. I used yellow. | | next | | |O| | O | |O| | Y | --- | | | BB| | RBR| | ORR| | YRBB| | YYRR| | OORB| | OOBB| -------- This was simply the hardest stage in the entire puzzle mode. But the next stages aren't that simple. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 28: Eliminate 5 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |R| | XBXP | |R| | XXBX | --- | XBXP | | XXPX | | XBXP | | XXBX | | XBXP | | XXPX | | XBXP | | XXBX | -------- Next: Only pairs of red. Solution: Now isn't that annoying. After the hardest stage, there isn't a much easier one. Actually, a mountain of engraved blues and pinks doesn't look so scary, until you try many different ways to find the solution and can't even get close to the truth. So, I'm here to save you. So you have infinite ammunition of red-red pairs and have to take out blues and pinks. No! Think it clearer. You don't have to take out all of them, you have to eliminate 5 waves of beans. Let's start with the left wall, shall we: | | next | R | |R| | XBXP | |R| |RXXBX | --- |RXBXP | | XXPX | | XBXP | | XXBX | | XBXP | |RXXPX | |RXBXP | |RXXBX | -------- With this, you have half the wall, and you need it. Second attack, the new ladder. And take out the two first refugees on the right side too: | R | next | R | |R| | BX | |R| | XB | --- | RBXP | | RXPX | | RBXP | | XXBX | | XBXP | | XXPX | | XBXP | | XXBP | -------- The trick on this stage is: blue and pink beans can only make 3 waves alone, so you'll have to make a new one at the beginning, and another at the end. Simple enough? Let me show you: R | R | next | R | |R| | X | |R| | RRB | --- | RBXP | | BPX | | BXP | | XBX | | BXP | | XPX | | RBXP | | RXBP | -------- With this set, next two refugees will start the show, and then blues, pinks, blues, and the last reds, making the 3 little pinkies in the end just look at you petrified like a frustrated columns piece thrown into the wrong universe. - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 29: Eliminate 5 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |Y| | BYYBB| |B| | YBBYY| --- | XYYBB| | XBBYY| | XYYBB| | XBBYY| | XYYBB| | XBBYY| | YYYBB| | BBBYY| -------- Next: Only pairs of yellow, except for the first pair, blue-yellow. Solution: Don't cry. Ok, if you do the wrong move, you start the wrong chain, taking out anything with just two waves. Step-down trick is the wrong way to go now. Or maybe... I should remember you the right one so. Lesson 17. Hole of fire. And lava. Start by losing your blue, it's not needed. | | next | | |Y| |YBYYBB| |Y| |YYBBYY| --- | XYYBB| | XBBYY| | XYYBB| | XBBYY| |YXYYBB| |YXBBYY| |BYYYBB| |YBBBYY| -------- Ok, see how the yellows should take of the wall to you? Take it of with two combinations: | | next | | |Y| | YYBB| |Y| | BBYY| --- | YYBB| | BBYY| | YYBB| | BBYY| | YYBB| | BBBYY| |BYYYBB| |YBBBYY| -------- The other yellow that was going down on the left is gone. Ok, then, you can realize the simplicity of the hole of fire (and lava!) by taking the yellows on the middle: | | next | | |Y| | YYYBB| |Y| | YBBYY| --- | YYBB| | BBYY| | YYBB| | BBYY| | YYYBB| |YBBBYY| |BYYYBB| |YBBBYY| -------- Drop it and see how simple and nice it is. The destruction of a yellow and blue world. Ok, that was random. On to the next and last lesson, go, go! - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / - / Lesson 30: Eliminate 7 waves of beans. Screen: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | R | --- | PR | | PRY | | BGY | | RGR | | BYYR| |R BYPR| |RXRBGY| |RXYYGP| -------- Next: Red and yellow, only. Like in lesson 26, lots of yellow and some red. Solution: It's the last one! Aren't you happy? And it isn't so hard, since you have the right beans at the start, for a great combo, even greater than seven. Especially because after this stage you just have to see the ending and credits, and of course it's a different ending than scenario mode. Now first, grab these yellows and put a red on the top, like this: | | next | | |O| | R | |O| | R R | --- | YPR | | PRY | | BGY | | RRGR | | YBYYR| |RYBYPR| |RXRBGY| |RXYYGP| -------- Next reds will take the blues together. It's all you need to win, as the next move is the winner: | | next | | |O| | | |O| | R | --- |Y PR | |Y YRY | | PGY | | RBGR | | YBYYR| |RYBYPR| |RXRBGY| |RXYYGP| -------- Dropping these yellows will set the combo and maybe some tears. Now, you just have to watch the ending, which I'm not telling you. =) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VII- FAQ [00007] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q- How do I pass Lesson ? A- Sorry, that's the best I can do on a notepad. Perhaps I should try hosting pictures of the game, but don't count on it any time soon. Q- I received different beans at lesson. What do I do? A- Try to follow the solution in the same way, I can't predict what's coming because 80% of the lessons have random outcoming. Q- What is 'weird' on the passwords section? A- That bean with bunny ears. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIII- Passwords [00008] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Forgot to write or remember it?
