The name Rantou Pro-Wrestling (rough translation: "Brawl Pro- Wrestling") was inspired by the popular Gaijin tag teams (The Road Warriors: Hawk & Animal along with Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody) of the 1980's and their aggressive brawling style. Unfortunately, with the success of Nintendo's Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System, The Super Cassette Vision would be a financial failure; leading Epoch to leave the Video Game industry just one year later. Out of the 30 original games released for the Super Cassette Vision, only 16 of which were ported to the Super Cassette's European release. When either player takes damage or perform attacks/ grapples, the player's stamina points will drop accordingly. Stamina points can also be recovered by refraining from attacking or taking damage during the fight. However, the more damage a player has sustained during the match, the less amount of Stamina points the player will receive when recovering. Besides being pinned or counted out, if a player's Stamina reaches zero, the match is over. =========== Time limit: =========== Each match has a time limit set to 300 seconds. When the timer reaches zero, the game is over. ========= Countout: ========= When either player is thrown out of the ring, the Referee will begin to count to 20 while shouting "hurry up!" If the Referee counts to 20 (under Japanese rules), the player remaining outside the ring will be counted out and lose the match.
