Thanks 5.Legal Stuff & Contacts =============================================================================== Explanation of Concepts & General Info =============================================================================== Talents ------- Talents significant increase the success of item crafting to their field. Unlocking talents through item creation awards a character with 100 free SP to spend. It can be advantageous for character to join your party with as few talents unlocked as possible. Talents can be easily unlocked with Orchestra if the character is capable of unlocking it. Customization ------------- A lot of customization is randomized when trying to produce a weapon in the “invalid combination”, this generally frustrating but I theorize this is how some of it works. It seems to be influenced by a weapons ATK and the rarity of the material used in the upgrade. Higher ATK weapons and rare materials (Meteorite, Damascus, Orichalcum) will be more likely produce stronger/rare weapons in customization. An increase in customization level seems to increase the pool of weapons that are producible, making high attack invalid weapons producible at high customization ranks only. Orchestra and the song Goddess's Arrival can help. The LUC stat also seems to play a minor role. Special Arts & Proficiency -------------------------- The primary motivation is to clear up a lot of misconception on special arts and proficiency. All basic special arts (killer moves for SO2 fans) do not have uniform upgrade ranks. As far as I know there is a really a lack of good numbers and actually rank up upgrades. I have seen that all basic moves that don’t require a SFT upgrade at 100 and 200 proficiency, this is patently false and can be proven with minimal testing. The damage modifiers are usually rounded to the closest 5% mark, they may be a percentage or two off and are prefixed with approx. for clarification. Visual upgrades are also fairly accurate and should act an easy marker of progress. Spells & Proficiency -------------------- Spells increase in damage/healing with increases in proficiency. Some spells for example Southern Cross will increase the amount of stars falling with increases in proficiency. Obtaining SFTs & How They Work ------------------------------ After learning an SFT you should max its rank in the skills list. SFT will allow your characters to learn new special arts at the end of battle with a random chance after using the related art. For example Thunderclap Blade becomes Omega Thunderclap Blade after using it in battle with Omega SFT learned. This chance increases with the level of the SFT. Four Beasts SFT (Roddicl + Illia + Cyuss) Obtained during the Trial of Heroes during the story in Van. Feline SFT (Pericci) Found in a chest in the Muah Kingdom's treasury. Bagua SFT (Illia + T'nique) Found in a chest in the Muah Kingdom's treasury. Omega SFT (All fighters) Clear rank C on any character in the Tatroi Arena. Divine SFT (Illia + T'nique) Found in a chest in the optional Old Race Ruins treasure rooms after the optional boss. God of War SFT (Phia) Must have had recruited Ashlay or Cyuss before passing through Astral for the first time. Clear her name by hunting down the demon impersonating her, then recruit her after obtaining the Astral emblem. If Phia is rescued from her jail cell she will not learn this SFT. Wyrmking SFT (Roddick) You must engage in a PA in Van with Ashley in the weapon shop, the answers don't necessarily matter but will affect your relationship points with with him. (No to "Power to defeat my enemies", yes to "Power to build my character" for best results.) After obtaining the Eye of Truth trigger a PA in Silvalant, Ashley will ask you to meet him at the castle courtyard, do so and receive the Wyrmking SFT, your affection rating must be over 9 for this to trigger. After clear any rank in the Tatroi Arena with Roddick BEFORE going to Astral City for the first time, when you attempt to get on the ferry you will be stopped by Ashlay and you will be given the option to recruit him. Note 1: Will not appear at Tatroi arena if Cyuss is in party. Note 2: You must have Ashlay in the party to recruit Eyrs. Thunderclap Blade (Start) ------------------------- Stabs the enemy and electrocutes them with lightning, better version of Roddick’s Thunderclap Blade but still pretty basic. Wind element added to hit. Costs 5 MP Rating: ** Max hits: 1 (0-100 Proficiency) 125% ATK per hit. (100-200 Proficiency) Approx. 220% ATK per hit. (200-999 Proficiency) Approx. 300% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue afterimage added. Firestorm Blade (Start) ----------------------- Slashes the ground and makes fiery eruption. Can hit twice in an AoE, second hit slightly knocks up enemy, good anti-air potential. Fire element added to hits. Cost 6 MP Rating *** Max hits 2 (0-100 Proficiency) 75% ATK per hit. (100-200 Proficiency) 100% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue after image added. (200-999 Proficiency) Approx. 125% ATK per hit. Double Slash (Start) -------------------- Jumps in the air and slashes enemy twice, same move as Roddick. Leaves Ashlay vulnerable to attacks if this move is parried. Better in a normal play through over universe. Costs 5 MP Rating ** Max hits: 2 (0-100 Proficiency) 75% ATK per hit. (100-200 Proficiency) Approx. 90% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue after image added. (200-999 Proficiency) Approx. 110% ATK per hit. Lightray Blade (Start) ---------------------- Turns his sword into a machine gun and shoots out light bullets. Can hit up to 12 times, each hit has small knock back. This art is insanely good and one of Ashlay’s best. You can often pin and stun lock enemies not immune to light damage. Adds Light element to hits. Costs 10 MP Rating ***** Max hits: 12 (0-100 Proficiency) Approx. 35% ATK per hit. (100-200 Proficiency) Approx. 40% per hit. Visual: Blue after image added. (400-999 Proficiency) Approx. 45% per hit. Dragon Slash (Level 31 + Four Beasts SFT) In game description wrong. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Releases a dragon from the tip of his sword that shoots across the screen and damages any enemy it passes through. Decent ranged attack but slow wind up makes this one impractical, only a single hit but can at least hit multiple enemies. Adds Water element to hit. Costs 25 MP Rating ** Max hits: 1 (0-200 Proficiency) 150% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) 225% ATK per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) 300% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue aura around added. Phoenix Blast (Level 35 + Four Beasts SFT) In game description wrong. --------------------------------------------------------------------- A phoenix whirls in a circle around Ashlay hitting enemies multiple times. It doesn’t hit enemies directly next to Ashlay making this art sometimes awkward to use. Hits about 3-4 times each hit has mild knock back that can drag enemies along for extra hits. Adds fire element to hit. Costs 32 MP Rating **** Max hits: Average 4 with luck. (0-200 Proficiency) 150% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) 225% ATK per hit. Visual: Brighter phoenix flames. (400-999 Proficiency) 300% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue aura around added. Omega Thunderclap Blade (Thunderclap Blade + Omega SFT) ------------------------------------------------------- Ranged version of Thunderclap Blade where Ashlay throws at the enemy stabs them and then electrocutes them and anything in a small area around the target. Looks cool.... only one hit but high multiplier can easily hit for 9999 and is relatively safe to use. Adds Wind element to hit. Costs 22 MP Rating *** Max hits: 1 (0-200 Proficiency) 200% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) 350% ATK per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) 500% ATK per hit. Visual: Blue aura around added. Omega Double Slash (Double Slash + Omega SFT) --------------------------------------------- A cool looking technique, Ashlay jumps into the air and spins with his sword hitting multiple times and then shoots out a shock wave. Hits 4 times can be a little risky because of wind up as enemies can knock him out of the spin. Costs 24 MP Rating **** Max hits: 4 (0-200 Proficiency) 75% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) Approx. 90% per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) Approx. 110% per hit. Extra hits make this an interesting weapon but element is problematic. Berserk Sword: Constant Berserk status. 1400 ATK, 120 HIT, 110 GUTS, 40 CRIT. Adds earth element to attacks. (Invalid customization max rank.) Technically highest attack but earth element is problematic. Meteor Striker: 1800 ATK, 200 HIT, 120 GUTS, 60 CRIT. Adds Light element to attacks. Spirit Blast (Level 13) ----------------------- Shoots out an energy blast directly towards the target. Hits once and is relatively safe to spam from a distance. Double Slash (Level 17) ----------------------- Jumps in the air and spins with his sword hitting three times. Has a slow wind up so a bit risky to use and easy to get knocked out of, good for racking up hits on an already staggered/stunned enemy. Omega Firestorm Blade (Firestorm Blade + Omega SFT) --------------------------------------------------- Stabs his fiery sword forward damaging the enemy followed by a massive explosion hitting four times and launching them moderately into the air. This is a great technique held back only by its element. Adds fire element to hits. Costs 17 MP Rating **** Max hits: 5 (0-200 Proficiency) Approx. 50% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) Approx. 55% per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) Approx. 60% per hit. Visual: Blue after image added. Omega Thunderclap Blade (Thunderclap Blade + Omega SFT) ------------------------------------------------------- Ranged version of Thunderclap Blade Cyuss’s sword shoots out to stab an enemy and then electrocutes them with lightning. Executes fast and hits anything in a small aoe around the target. Looks cool.... only one hit but high multiplier can easily hit for 9999 and very safe to use. Adds wind element to hit. Costs 22 MP Rating *** Max hits: 1 (0-200 Proficiency) 200% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) 350% ATK per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) 500% ATK per hit. Visual: Small blue aura added. Omega Double Slash (Double Slash + Omega SFT) --------------------------------------------- Cool looking technique where Cyuss jumps into the air and spins with his sword hitting multiple times and then shoots out a shock wave. Hits 4 times can be a little risky because of long wind up. In universe enemies parrying your attacks are much more common making this even riskier. Good for ganging up on an enemy. Costs 24 MP Rating **** Max hits: 4 (0-200 Proficiency) 75% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) Approx. 90% per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) Approx. 110% per hit. Visual: Blue after image added: Dragon Surge (Lightray Blade + Four Beasts SFT) ----------------------------------------------- Summons a dragon from underneath the enemy while knocking them into the sky four times. Knows enemies in the air often staggering them to death because of its short execution time. Adds water element to each hit. Costs 27 MP Rating ***** Max hits: 4 (0-200 Proficiency) Approx. 60% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) Approx. 70% per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) Approx. 80% per hit. Visual: Blue aura added. Tortoise Surge (Spirit Blast + Four Beasts) ------------------------------------------- Summons an image of a tortoise around Cyuss hitting everything in a large area around Cyuss with an insanely high multiplier. Executes really fast and is a great defensive move, will often hit for 9999 with even low-level weapons. Adds earth element to hits. Costs 35 MP Rating **** Max hits: 1 (0-200 Proficiency) 300% ATK per hit. (200-400 Proficiency) 600% per hit. (400-999 Proficiency) 900% per hit. Visual: Blue aura added. Tiger Surge (Shockwave Swirl + Four Beasts) ------------------------------------------- Summons a white tiger and shoots it at the enemy, can hit in an area around the impact radius. An improved version of Spirit Blast with a high damage modifier, unfortunately it’s elemental. Adds wind element to hits. Costs 27 MP Rating *** Max hits: 1 (0-200 Proficiency) 250% ATK per hit. Meteor Palm (Level 13) ---------------------- She goes for a wind up and then punches downward. It’s easy to get knocked out of this one due to the long wind up. Pineapples will often hit for 9999 at max rank. Decent move to attack the enemy at a safe range.
