Cross Edge Boss Strategy Guide version 1.00 by pokemon_45_79_1 Update version 1.01 Very Important Spoiler alert This guide may contain plot spoilers and names of bosses so read at your own risk Welcome to my Cross Edge strategy guide, this guide will focus on all boss and some optional encounters within the main game and post game, I will document all boss fights in the main game and in post game 5-2, and 5-3, while making this guide I am playing on easy and hard, the only difference from easy to hard is that the bosses have more HP and may have higher stats to do more damage, now if you don’t know about this game this is a turn based strategy game where you have a battle party of four, now this game has up to 30 playable characters so you will have plenty to chose from, now any team will work but a team that can combo really well is good now some people say the battle system is complicated but I don’t think it is as confusing as people have said, also I am making this strategy guide while playing a NG+ but this guide will work for playing it for the first time as well, now as for combos you have what’s called the Arcane tome this shows what combos can be used by different party members skills which could help you against the bosses. The battle system is graded from S to I, S being the best I being the worst now what that means if you don’t know is that you can get bonus exp among other things when you defeat a boss, best way to gain exp is from boss fights however you may be under leveled which makes things interesting now every boss has three bars when attacking it they are the guard brake gauges which are red and blue when you burst the enemy by using burst skills and down break skills, another gauge is the green bar which is the over break bar which when you empty it completely you regain some AP back, any attacking skill can bring that down, the last bar is yellow which is the bosses life bar when you drop the bosses Hp to zero it turns purple and if you can fill it all the way you can get an overkill which could mean more exp, now it may be hard to overkill any boss on your first play through but is a lot easier when you start a NG+. Boss battles in this game could make you pull your hair out literally because if the boss gets the jump on you which on your first play through will happen a lot they can do a lot of damage in one turn, now what I have seen is a healer is very key to winning boss fights so use your healer when ever you can now this guide may contain plot spoilers so read at your own risk, keep an open mind when reading this guide. There are some bosses that you do not kill or hit which I will document as part of Truth end this is the post game I talked about earlier, post game is really fun because you can complete the roster of characters and unlock more titles but keep in mind the bosses in post game are very hard even on easy so plan for that if you are going that route now how you will know if you are going the true route way is when you have titles 31-50 and 72-80 showing in area 4-2 before heading to 4-3 if you don’t then you did something wrong. I will also document what you can steal and overkill on each boss and drop on each boss as well. Another thing to remember is some boss fights will end in x number of turns and if that happens and you don’t drop the bosses Hp to zero you gain no experience but you still win the fight so keep that in mind. I will document some attacks the bosses pull off but there may be too many to list I will also put what the recommended lvl should be now you can be more or less then this lvl but its better to be under leveled to gain more Exp off bosses as I learned as bosses will take advantage of it. Also when fighting on the field your Hp will be restored to full after every battle so take advantage of that. Main Game: Boss fight against (3x) Hell Dogs & A Hornet (recommended lvl 2-3) Hell dogs Overkill = Beast charm Hell dogs Rare Drop = Silver Ore, Gravistone Hell dogs Regular Drop & Steal= Beast charm, Festo, Blessing Leaf Hornet Overkill = Poison Needle Hornet Rare Drop = Silver Ore Hornet Regular Drop & Steal = Poison Needle, Festo, Herb In this first boss fight you face off against the monsters you have been fighting out in the field if this is your first time playing make sure to use sweep and Libido touch to spam sonic blast multiple times, Lyner will join the fight he has a skill so use it when its needed, watch out for power wave as it hit’s a straight line, double hit which does two attacks of light damage and watch out for the hornet Puchi attack small damage only to one person but can be trouble, if you are in a NG+ use what you want, overall a very easy battle. Boss fight against (2x) Hornets & (1x) Mirra, & (2x) Imps (recommended lv 3-5) (2x)Hornet Overkill = Poison Needle (2x)Hornet Rare Drop = Silver Ore (2x)Hornet Regular Drop & Steal = Poison Needle, Festo, Herb, Gravistone (2x)Mirra Overkill = Bandage (2x)Mirra Rare Drop = Silver Ore (2x)Mirra Regular Drop & Steal = Grass, Bandage (2x)Imps Overkill = Imp Horn (2x)Imps Rare Drop = Silver Ore, Blessing Leaf (2x)Imps Regular Drop & Steal = Imp Horn, Herb, Gravistone In this fight you face off against various monsters from this world from the new Mirra to the imps all monsters have the same attacks, watch out for the Mirra Puchi attack light damage on one person but could become trouble, hornets are the same from the previous boss fight and the imps have Power Wave and double hit but that’s about it, if you are playing for the first time knock out the imps first they pose the biggest threat, if this is your second time through or more use whatever you want OK them for good items, overall a very easy battle. Boss fight against (2x) Vampire Bats & (2x) Imps & (1x) Sorcerer (recommended lvl 3-5) (2x)Imps Overkill = Imp Horn, Blessing Leaf (2x)Imps Rare Drop = Silver Ore (2x)Imps Regular Drop & Steal = Imp Horn, Herb (2x)Vampire Bat Overkill = Reganstone, Small Fang (2x)Vampire Bat Rare Drop = Silver Ore, Blessing Leaf (2x)Vampire Bat Regular Drop & Steal = Dark Element Sorcerer Overkill = Blessing Leaf Sorcerer Rare Drop = Silver Ore, Fire Element Sorcerer Regular Drop & Steal = Magic Guide, Reganstone This fight is with various monsters from this world however two new enemies make an appearance now this fight is very easy because every enemy has the same attacks as I previous stated still watch out for Puchi attack it can still give you trouble overall a very easy fight to win. Boss Fight against Prinny & (2x) Big Crabs & (2x) Sahagin (recommended lvl 8-10) Prinny Overkill = Book of Rebirth Prinny Drop = Life Fragment, LCK Up Prinny Steal = Life Fragment, Stardust, LCK Up,, Rusty Ring (2x)Big Crabs Overkill = Blessing Leaf, Silver Bar, Cannonite (2x)Big Crabs Regular Drop & Steal = Grass, Crab Meat (2x)Sahagin Overkill = Merman Scale, Blessing Leaf (2x)Sahagin Rare Drop = Silver Bar, Cannonite (2x)Sahagin Regular Drop & Steal = Merman Scale, Ice Element This fight is your first real boss fight of the game now the monsters are very easy if you are somewhat lvl between 8-9 these monsters are the same that are out in the field you have been fighting already so attacks are the same now as for Prinny he has three attacks one called Three comets which does light damage three different times at once on one person, he has sweeping slash which does light damage in a straight line, you need to watch out for his Prinny Dance it does light damage but has the sudden death effect which can kill party members be aware if that happens, other then that anything works on him take out the monsters first particular the Sahagin because they have less Hp then defeat the rest. Boss fight against Etna & Prinny part 1 (recommended lvl 8-10) Etna Overkill = Cross Spear, Spiritual Charm Etna Drop = Moon Key, INT Up Etna Steal= Silver Ore, Cross Spear, Platinum Ore, Moon Key Prinny Overkill = Pricey Pot Lid, Rusty Bracelet Prinny Drop = Rusty Bracelet, Max HP Up, Potent Grass Prinny Steal = Blessing Leaf, Potent Grass, Blessing Nut, Rusty Braclet This fight is against Etna and Prinny now this fight will end when you take out one of them out I recommend taking out Prinny because he has less HP he has the same three attacks from the previous fight plus a new one called Zero G-Buster all do light damage, Prinny Dance is still his most dangerous skill because it can cause instant death sometimes on party members keep that in mind however you don’t get any gold unless you defeat Etna, as for Etna she has Four Skills, They are Turbulence, Mega Star, Falling Star, Lightning Rod, all attacks do light damage and only to one person depending on formation keep your team spread out to avoid multiple party members getting hit, at some point doing the battle or when she is low on health she will use her first Ex skill Prinny Raid which does moderate damage and may lower SP it also carries an instant death chance so be ready if that happens, if you can overkill Etna you get a nice spear and a good ring. Overall an easy fight to win. Boss fight against Etna and Prinny (x5) part 2 (recommended lvl 14-16) Etna Overkill = Birds Eye Etna Drop = Samson’s Ring, Bardiche, Sun Key Etna Steal = Samson’s Ring, Platinum Ore, Bardiche, Sun Key Prinny (5x) Overkill = Lucky Talisman, Thunderhead Stone Prinny (5x) Drop = Blessing Nut, AGI Up, Rusty Blade, Thunderhead Stone Prinny (5x) Steal = Blessing Nut, Thunderhead Stone, Rusty Blade Once again you are fighting Etna but this times you also have not one but 5 prinnies to deal with in this battle now this battle could give you trouble on your first play through because its not the difficulty but how many enemies there are, both Etna and Prinny have all there same attacks from the previous fight so same strategy on Etna applies to this fight same with Prinny just more of them so be prepared prinny dance is still the most dangerous skill as is Etna ex skill try to O’k one Prinny and Etna to get good items however watch out if prinny dance starts killing party members since all enemies are close together a skill that hit’s the first two rows could do a lot of damage and make the battle easier, its hard to get a A or an S on your first play through best bet would be a C or a B, overall a moderately easy fight to win. Boss fight against Lazarus part 1 (recommended lvl 17-19) Important Note to get Truth End: Defeat Lazarus with in 5 turns by bring his HP down to Zero to get truth end If you don’t then you get locked out and can't get it. Lazarus Overkill = Unbending Mind Lazarus Drop = STR Up, Platinum Ore Lazarus Steal = Moonlight, Platinum Ore, STR Up, Soulseal Bangle In this fight you face off against one of the twelve knights by the name of Lazarus, look to the important note above if you are planning to get truth end, now this battle is very easy because he does not do that strong of attacks, watch out for Air Slash which attacks one row across and does moderate to light damage, it also can poison party members but it really wont happen, also watch out for Stunsmash, Bold Burst, Dust Chute, Bold Burst and Stunsmash do moderate damage to one party member mostly in the front, Dust Chute his weakest skill and should not prove to be a problem, make sure to steal from him for a nice Gun, don’t try to OK him on your first play through since all you get is an unbending mind so not worth it, also remember since he is in the third row spend the first round moving your members into position if they cant all use their attacks, a Magic user could be the difference, use what you want. Overall a moderately easy fight, also on hard he will have more Hp so keep that in mind. Boss fight against Demitri & Lilith part 1 (recommended lvl 21-22) Demitri Overkill = Crimson Stone Statue Demitri Steal = Flame Knuckle, Platinum Bar Lilith Overkill = Ice Hand Lilith Drop = INT Up, Sharp Sense, Magic Frame Lilith Steal = Life Stone, Sharp Sense Important Note to get Truth End: Do not kill Demitri you can hit him but don’t kill him or you cant get Truth End In this boss fight you are against Demitri and Lilith now if you note the important note above focus all your attacks on Lilith she has such little Hp that you can Overkill her on any Difficulty to get a nice Claw, defeat either one and the fight ends, now they both do their four beginning skills really watch out for Lilith Merry Turn it can hit one square in the second and one in third row, also watch out for all of Demitri attacks each one does Moderate damage to one party member, as for the rest of Lilith skills they all hit one person mostly in the second row each attacks does moderate to light damage and should not be a factor hit Lilith with what you want try to avoid hitting Demitri to not accidentally kill him, overall a very easy fight. Optional Boss Fight against (4x) Prinny (recommended lvl 21-22) Prinny Front Overkill = Stardust, Holy Element Prinny Steal Front = Holy Element, Thunder Element, Ice Guard, Holy Element Prinny Second Row Overkill = Stardust Prinny Second Row Steal = Earth Element, Thunder Element, Refresh Herb Prinny Third Row Overkill = Wind Element, Wind Guard, Stardust Prinny Third Row Steal = Holy Element, Wind Element, Wind Guard Prinny Back Row Overkill = Stardust Prinny Back Row Steal = Holy Element, Dark Element, Blessing Nut In this boss fight you face off against 4 prinnies now this fight is pretty much the same as when you fought Prinny in 1-2 just more they have all there same attacks, but they also use Flame Bullet and Icicle Edge which attack one row each and lowers strength, Icicle Edge lowers Agi and may put the party member to sleep but it wont happen, however still watch out of Prinny Dance as it can cause instant death, also there is one all the way in the back so you will need someone to reach it unless you combo, steal and overkill at most 2 prinnes to get decent items, use what you want anybody that can do an area effect combo could be effective in this fight, overall a very easy fight. Optional Boss Fight against Rokh (recommended lvl 21-22) Rokh Overkill = Bird’s Eye Rokh Steal = Life Fragment, Platinum Bar, Thunderhead Stone, Moon Key Rokh Drop = Life Fragment, Platinum Bar In this fight you face off against a Rokh now since it covers 9 squares any attack should reach it so not too much on formation, now it has two attacks and an Ex skill, One is Aerial which hits three squares straight up and does moderate to light damage but can also poison members as an after effect, the other one is the Hunter which does light damage to one party member, also when its HP gets low watch out for its Ex skill called Hati it does moderate to heavy damage and can cause Paralysis also it is somewhat fast so you may not get the jump on it use any skill you want except for earth since it is flying, overall a moderately easy fight to win Boss Fight against Augustine and (2x) Earth Knights & (2x) Witches/Warlocks part 1 (recommended lvl 22-23) Augustine Overkill = Evil Eye Augustine Steal = Lake Crystal, Triple Dagger Earth Knight Overkill = Platinum Ore, Platinum Armlet, Stardust, Earth Guard Earth Knight Steal = Earth Element, Earth Guard Witches Overkill = Oak Staff, Platinum Ore, Stardust, Blessing Nut Witches Steal = Potent Grass, Oak Staff Important Note : If you want Truth end then don’t kill or even hit Augustine some say that you can and it wont effect true end but play it safe In this fight you face off with Augustine and his minions now his monsters are the same as out in the field, you already fought the earth knights, just watch out for the counter skill it does moderate to heavy damage depends on how much damage you did to it, the witches are a new enemy that’s coming up in the field they use different magical attacks that all do light damage not much of a threat, watch out for Augustine’s Deadly Cross and Shadow Stab each does Moderate damage to one party member, also he uses Hell on Earth which effects three squares and can lower the target agi, he also uses Trick shot but its his weakest attack and should not become a factor, when you have defeated some of his minions he may use his first Ex skill which is called Sellout, it does moderate damage and can cause instant death so keep that in mind, kill his minions before five turns are up to end the fight, kill him to end the fight, use what skills will work keep in mind the witches are in the back row so you will need to change formation or have a skill that can effect that row, more of a Magic User, overall a moderate fight to win. Boss Fight against Bourd part 1 (recommended lvl 22-23) Bourd Overkill = Beast Hunt Bourd Drop = Warrior Spirit, Platinum Bar Bourd Steal = Platinum Bar, Hard Shell, VIT Up, Warrior Spirit In this fight you face off against Bourd you have to use Ayatane and Lyner in this fight so if you don’t use them a lot gear them up now he has a high def so Overkilling him on your first play through may not happen, he use a mix of lightning and physical skills and earth skills, Now most of his skills designate a straight line so spread people out this battle is not to hard however you have to defeat him in 5 turns or the battle will end, watch out for his Neo Stampede which does moderate damage to one person, Cracking Earth effects six squares and can lower the persons Agi also it does moderate damage, his Bolt Hammer is a thunder based skill and can Paralyze so be prepared for that it hits one person for light to moderate damage, he also has counter and you now what that does so just be careful with how you hit him, a magic user who can combo will be very effective in this fight, I recommend using magical combos because his resist is low if you can steal for the Hard Shell a ok piece of Armor, overall a very easy fight. Boss Fight Against Troy and Anesha part 1 (recommended lvl 24) Troy Overkill = Aura Ring, Fancy Foreign Gem Troy Drop = Fancy Foreign Gem Troy Steal = Conquistador, Millennium Shell Anesha Overkill = Gem of Fortune, Illusion Bangle, INT Up Anesha Drop = INT Up Anesha Steal = Platinum Bar, Magic Frame, Gem of Fortune, INT Up Important note: If you want to get Truth end don’t kill Troy however you can attack him if you kill him you will get locked out. In this fight you face off against Troy and Anesha now this battle will end in 5 turns or if you defeat one or the other make sure to kill Anesha only, now for Troy’s skill he uses his three starting skills all hitting one person, mostly in the second row however earth render will hit two people in the second and third row all do light to moderate damage but Earthrender lowers Agi, now the same goes for Anesha she uses all four of her starting skills all hitting one person mostly in the second row all will do light damage, however watch out for Spark Shot as it has a paralysis side effect however when you drop either ones Hp to 25% or less they go into Parry which makes all physical attacks miss Ex and Magic will not so try to get Anesha down to zero HP then finish her off using a Ex you should be able to overkill her on any difficulty for a nice Bangle and also steal from her for a nice piece of armor, overall a very easy fight to win. Optional Boss fight against a Remora & a Giant Squid (recommended lvl 24) Remora Overkill = Platinum Bar, Broken Reef, Lake Crystal Remora Steal = Broken Reef, Lake Crystal Giant Squid Overkill = Platinum Bar, Giant Tentacle, Samson’s Ring, Lake Crystal Giant Squid Steal = Platinum Bar, Giant Tentacle, Samson’s Ring In this optional boss fight you face off against 2 different monsters now neither is one very hard to defeat however the Remora is in the very back so you will need a skill or Magic to reach it, you also have to use Felicia in this fight so unless you have been using her gear her up. The Remora does a mix of physical and magical attacks, the Remora is the bigger target because of the skill Icicle edge it uses so take it out first, all skills physical and magical do light to moderate damage, after that work on the Squid it uses physical attacks plus it uses Sonic blast which will effect the first row, all attacks do light damage sonic blast does moderate damage, the squid should not be hard to hit, but it will use counter so keep your Hp up it has an Ex skill but I have never seen it will not have to come to the squid using it, use what will work you will get a lot of Exp if you can end this battle in two turns so try to do that, overall a easy battle to win. Boss Fight against Raizen part 1 (recommended lvl 27-28) Raizen Overkill = Seiryu Sword Raizen Drop = Max HP Up, Battle Shield Raizen Steal = Battle Shield, Millennium Shell, Crescent Moon Stone, Max HP Up Now in this fight you face off against Raizen, now this battle you have to use Zelos so if you haven’t been using him then there is a chance he is at a low lvl, that saying he wont be as effective, bring in your most use members, now for Raizen he uses his basic four skills consisting of two lightning type skills and two physical skills all attacks hit a party member in the second row only, watch out for his two thunder type skills since they carry the paralysis side effect so be ready not a very hard battle, but his Def is high so unless you are playing a NG+ you might not be able to Overkill him, as his Hp drops to low lvls his def gets higher, so that means using magic is very key since his resistance is very low, magic combos might be the only way to overkill him without playing a NG+, other then that use what you want he doesn’t absorb any element so go wild, overall a very easy battle. Boss fight against Etna & (4x) Prinnies part 3 (recommended lvl 30-33) Etna Overkill = White Frame Etna Drop = Flowing Moonlight, Beast Ring Etna Steal = Mythril Ore, Beast Ring, INT Up+, Flowering Moonlight, Prinny Front Overkill = Three Stars Prinny Front Drop = Crescent Moon Stone, Blessing Nut Prinny Front Steal = Blessing Nut, Crescent Moon Stone, LCK Up Prinny Back Overkill = Jade Bracelet Prinny Back Drop = LCK Up, Crescent Moon Stone, Blessing Nut Prinny Back Steal = Crescent Moon Stone, Blessing Nut, LCK Up In this fight you face off against Etna and 4 prinnies now this fight is exactly the same as the previous fight back in 3-1 but this time Etna throws in her second Ex, to begin the Prinnies do the same attacks plus a new one called Dual Heaven Slash which does Moderate damage, Prinny dance is still something to watch out for because it carries the sudden death with it, now each of the prinnes have nice items if you overkill them so try too, now as for Etna she uses the same moves as in previous fights except she now adds Twisting Lunge and Divine Descent which both do moderate damage to one party member, however as you defeat Prinnies or lower her health Etna may unleash her second Ex called Sexy Beam which has a chance to inflict multiple status changes including death at this point keep your team spread out to avoid multiple members getting hit by it, use what you want, multiple spell combos can work well, try to finish this battle in two turns to get a massive amount of exp, overall a moderate battle to fight. Boss Fight against Raizen part 2 (recommended lvl 34-36) Raizen Overkill = Bloody Sword Raizen Drop = Max HP Up+, Sharpened Bone Raizen Steal = Crescent Moon Stone, Guard Frame, Max HP Up+, Sharpened Bone In this boss fight you face off with Raizen, this time you have to use Etna which means she is at a low lvl if you haven’t been using her make sure to gear her up, now this fight is exactly the same as the previous battle with him he does all his same attacks however he does add his first Ex skill called Tyrant Dance which hits multiple party members and can inflict the no action status effect so have Shaman Herbs ready, that is his most dangerous attack all other attacks do light damage to one party member, he also adds in Steam Burst and can hit multiple party members, so be ready for that. You get a ok sword by overkilling him but you can avoid doing it because you get the sword else where if you bring his HP down to low amount about 1/3 but not sure the battle will end, he also adds in Wind Razor which does moderate damage to multiple party members but still wont pose a problem, overall a moderate fight to win. Boss Fight against Reicher part 1 (recommended lvl 38-40) Reicher Overkill = Flowering Moonlight Reicher Drop = AGI Up+, Triguard Reicher Steal = Black Crystal, Soulpower Ring, Triguard In this boss fight you face off against Reicher now you have to use Raze so if you havent been using him then gear him up he is going to be at a low lvl so prepare, he recovers about 10 % of HP every turn so make sure you can do heavy damage to him to make it worth it, the battle will end in 5 turns, now he uses his four Basic skills, all do moderate damage to one party member, watch out for his illusory Wave it has a small chance of putting a character to sleep, and hits multiple party members when he is near death he may use his first Ex Edge Wave which lowers str and vit on party members, also he goes into Parry which means only magical skills or Ex can damage him so try to save Ap for that, you really wont be able to kill him in a normal game on any difficulty unless you are 10 lvls ahead of him because he recovers Hp every turn, he also uses counter so be ready, overkilling him is not worth it so focus on just dropping his Hp to zero to get a good amount of exp, overall a moderate fight to win. Optional Boss fight against (4x) Prinnies (recommended lvl 42-44) Prinny Overkill = Crescent Moon Stone Prinny Steal Front = Potent Herb Prinny Steal Second Row = Potent Grass Prinny Steal Third Row = Shaman Herb, Potent Herb, Millennium Shell, Life Fragment Prinny Steal Back Row = Refresh Herb, Potent Grass, Millennium Shell Prinny Drop = Shaman Herb, Millennium Shell Prinny Drop Back Row = Life Fragment In this fight you face off against four stray Prinnies now this battle is exactly the same as the previous fight with them they do all there attacks plus throw in different Magic Spells ranging from Flame Bullet to Icicle Edge each does moderate damage and lowers one stat, once again watch out for the one in the back make sure some one can reach it, other then that this fight is not really a challenge and its pretty much free Exp so try to finish the battle in two turns to take advantage, overall a easy fight to win. Boss Fight against Lazarus part 2 (recommended lvl 45-46) Lazarus Overkill = Railgun Lazarus Steal = Mythril, Crushing Fang, Soft Chunk, LCK Up+ Lazarus Drop = LCK Up+, Mythril In this boss fight you face off against Lazarus again now this battle is exactly the same as the previous one you fought against him so same strategy applies to this fight, only new thing is that he now counters but shouldn’t prove a issue also he adds a couple of new moves one called dazzling crash and he also uses Hati which has the poison side effect, so be prepared dazzling crash does moderate damage and Hati also does moderate damage but still shouldn’t be an issue, try to ok him for a rail gun which is a great weapon for York or Zelos or Lazarus, you can also steal a good gun as well so take advantage, remember he is in the third row so plan for that and make sure everyone can hit him to unleash combos, overall a very easy fight to win. Boss Fight against Raizen final battle (recommended lvl 46) Raizen Overkill = Hermes Ring Raizen Steal = Black Crystal, Hells Blade, 100-year-old Sake, VIT Up+ Raizen Drop = VIT Up+, 100-year-old Sake, Black Crystal, In this boss fight you face off against Raizen for the final time now he still uses his same attacks from the previous fight in 1-3 however he can use his first and second Ex skills which are Tyrant Dance and Great Axis, now his Ex skills do moderate to medium damage and Tyrant Dance hits multiple members but remember it carries the No action effect so be ready with Shaman Herbs and Great Axis hits multiple party members, now he use more new attacks ones called Infinite Division which does moderate damage to one party member in the front, he also does Ten flashes which does moderate damage, watch out once again for Steam Burst as it lowers a stat and can effect multiple party members he also use Earth Shatterer which lowers agi and can hit a straight line, he also uses counter so be ready incase it does massive damage to everyone, try to ok him but his def might be too high your first time through however his resist his low so magical combos can work well, use what will work, try to place everyone so they can use all their skills, overall a moderate fight to win. Boss fight against Troy and Anesha part 2 (Recommended lvl 49-50) Troy Overkill = Heptablade Troy Steal = Shadestone, Shooting Star Troy Drop = Sharpened Bone Anesha Overkill = White Frame Anesha Steal = Mythril, Requiem Shield, INT Up+, Fancy Foreign Gem Anesha Drop = INT Up+, Fancy Foreign Gem Important Note: do not kill Troy you can hit him but don’t kill him others have said that you can kill him and still get truth end, but be safe and not kill him In this fight you go against Troy and Anesha again this fight is exactly the same as the previous one in 1-2 also defeating either one will end the battle, now they use all their same skills from the last fight, Troy adds Ten flashes which does moderate damage to multiple party members, he also does Thunder Grid Rune which is a lightning base spell that does moderate damage all his other attacks do light to moderate damage, as for Anesha she has the same attacks as before but she also throws in Meltdown which can lower multiple party members stats, once again spark shot can paralyze so be ready if some gets it, focus your attacks on Anesha you can steal a good piece of armor from her, Troys best thing is the Shooting Star Sword a ok blade but can be gotten later, use what will work also remember at 25% hp or less Anesha goes into parry and all physical attacks miss until you drop her hp to zero make sure to save AP for magic or SP for Ex, overall a moderately easy battle to win. Optional Boss fight against a Golem (recommended lvl 50) Golem Overkill = Iron Chunk Golem Steal = Moon Guard, Iron Chunk, Mythril, Crescent Moon Stone Golem Drop = Mythril, Iron Chunk In this optional battle you face off against a Golem now this monster is the same one that’s in the field and you have already fought it, so it will have the same attacks, since it covers a lot of the field anybody skills should hit it its def is somewhat hard to break with physical attacks so use magical skills, try to overkill him and make sure to steal this battle is worth decent exp depending on lvl. Overall a easy fight to win. Boss Fight against Lazarus part 3 (recommended lvl 50-51) Lazarus Overkill = 99 Magnum Lazarus Steal = Hermes Ring, Mythril Lazarus Drop = AGI Up+, Soft Chunk In this fight you face off against Lazarus in a one on one duel now he is exactly the same as the previous fight, he has all his same attacks from the previous fight with the exception of magical skills, so use what will work, any of York’s skills should do massive damage and end this battle in one turn since even on hard he has very little Hp, make sure to steal from him for a great ring, and O’k him as well a great gun, overall a very easy battle to win. Boss fight against Augustine and (2x) Storm Knights & (2x) Naga part 2 (recommended lvl 50-51) Augustine Overkill = Spiral Claws Augustine Steal = Triple Feather, Shadestone Naga (2x) Overkill = Transparent Drop Naga (2x) Steal = Transparent Drop, Potent Herb Naga (2x) Drop = Mythril, Crescent Moon Stone, Blessing Flower Storm Knight (2x) Overkill = Relief Herb, Fujin Storm Knight (2x) Steal = Wind Element, Relief Herb, Crescent Moon Stone, Fujin Storm Knight (2x) Drop = Mythril, Wind Element, Relief Herb Important Note: Do not kill or even touch Augustine in this fight or you will get locked out of truth end. In this fight you face off once again with Augustine and different monsters this time, now for the monsters they are the same as they are out in the field they use a mix of magical and physical attacks and some of them do status changes so be ready , this fight will end in 5 turns or if you kill all his minions, once again do not touch Augustine so be careful which combos you use I recommend single target combos, his minions don’t have much Hp so you should be able to kill them very fast, as for Augustine he has all his same moves from the previous fight, plus he adds in Blood Circle which drains Hp from one party member but still shouldn’t become an issue he still uses his first Ex sellout which can cause instant death so be ready, overall a moderate battle to win. In this boss fight you are once again up against Demitri and Lilith, now this battle is exactly the same as the previous encounter in 2-2 so same strategy applies to this fight, both have their same basic attacks however Lilith has Splash Libido which hits one row vertically, also watch out for Merry Turn which can hit a two squares going up, other then that all attacks do moderate damage, as for Demitri he doesn’t have anything special so he is not as big of a threat, this battle could be over in two turns by defeating Lilith the battle will end in 5 turns if neither is killed or killing one will end the battle up to you, overall a moderate battle to win. Optional Boss fight against (4x) Stray Prinnies (recommended lvl 51-52) Prinny Front Overkill = VIT Up+ or other stat up+ Prinny Front Steal = Potent Herb, Magic Frame, Unbending Mind Prinny Front Drop = Unbending Mind, Blessing Nut, Magic Frame Prinny Third Row Right Side Overkill = AGI Up+ or other Stat up+ Prinny Third Row Right Side Steal = Refresh Herb, Dream Hazard, Gem of Fortune Prinny Third Row Right Side Drop = Life Fragment, Dream Hazard Prinny Third Row Left Side Overkill = INT Up+ or other stat up + Prinny Third Row Left Side Steal = Marine Rouge, Potent Herb Prinny Third Row Left Side Drop = Sun Key, Blessing Nut, Marine Rouge Prinny Back Row Overkill = LCK Up+ or other stat up+ Prinny Back Row Steal = Red Savage, Refresh Herb, Life Fragment Prinny Back Row Drop = Life Fragment, Red Savage, Book of Rebirth In this final Prinny fight you face off against four stray prinnies now they do the same magical attacks from the previous battle with them in 2-3 and have all their same attacks, and they throw in a new one called Dual Heaven Slash, they also throw in Prinny Pocket which lowers all stats, also watch out as they may do their first Ex skill called Prinny Rush, everything they do does moderate to medium damage, Prinny Pocket will do semi heavy damage, as does Prinny Rush but still shouldn’t be a problem, remember they are quite spread out so you may have to switch your formation multiple times, make sure to bring a member who can attack the back row, they drop different Stat up + items when overkilled so overkill them if you want them, overall a moderate difficult fight to win. Optional Boss fight against (3x) Garmr & (2x) Lesser Devils (recommended lvl 53-54) Garmr (3x) Overkill = Berserker’s Mask, Mythril Ore Garmr (3x) Steal = Mythril Ore, Berserker’s Mask, Crescent Moon Stone Garmr (3x) Drop = Blessing Nut, Mythril Ore, Crescent Moon Stone Lesser Devil (2x) Overkill = Imps Wing Lesser Devil (2x) Drop = Mythril Ore In this optional battle you face off with two different types of monsters from this layer so they have a mix of magical and physical attacks still this battle should really not be a problem, so have fun, overall a very easy battle. Boss Fight against Bourd part 2 (recommended lvl 54-55) Bourd Overkill = Royal Emblem Bourd Steal = Crystal Spear, Flodgestone, MAX HP Up+, 100-year-old Sake Bourd Drop = MAX HP Up+, 100-year-old Sake, Flodgestone In this boss fight you go against Bourd now he uses most of same attacks from the previous fight he also adds in Meteor crash which can hit multiple party members in a L shape area of the field and does moderate damage, watch out for his first Ex which he will use at lower health not sure how low it does heavy damage plus it can kill party members so be ready for that he may also use it at anytime doing the fight so be ready it usually hit’s a straight line so keep members spread out from to many being killed that’s about it he has really high def again so you might not be able to overkill him, if you can guard break him it might make it easier, his resist is low so magical combos can work very well, also this battle will end in 5 turns so kill him for good exp and gold, overall a moderately hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Anesha & (2x) Lesser Devils & a Mist Dragon (recommended lvl 55) Anesha Overkill = Misty Guard Anesha Steal = Flodgestone, Resist Frame, AGI Up+, Fairy Cross Anesha Drop = AGI Up+ (2x) Lesser Devils Overkill = Imp Wings (2x) Lesser Devils Drop = Shadestone, Mythril, Relief Herb Mist Dragon Overkill = Dragon Ring, Life Vessel Mist Dragon Steal = Sleep Flower, Black Crystal Mist Dragon Drop = Sleep Flower In this boss fight Anesha and 2 types of monsters confront you, now the monsters are the same that are out in this layer they use a mix of physical and magical attacks, as for Anesha she uses her same attacks and adds in Solid Caliber which hits three squares heading up, she also adds Lightning Skill which can paralyze so be ready with herbs if this happens, it also hits three squares heading up for moderate damage, also watch out for her Deadly Dance move which does moderate damage but it does a lot of damage so be ready. Take out the monsters first then Anesha, remember she will go into parry mode at low health so only magic or Ex will damage her till you drop her HP to zero, then try to overkill her for a good piece of armor, overall a moderately hard fight to win. Optional Boss Fight against a Gunner (recommended lvl 55) Gunner Overkill = Railgun Gunner Steal = Giles Bullet, Black Crystal, Mythril, Warrior Spirit Gunner Drop = Warrior Spirit, Mythril In this optional battle you go against a Gunner now this monster is the same as in the next layer coming up, remember you have to use Raze for this fight, since it covers nine squares anyone should be able to hit it, now it has a mix of 2 physical skills and one magical skill still shouldn’t be a problem and should be able to overkill him in one turn to gain free exp, and to pick up a Railgun which is a great weapon but you might already have one up to you, watch out as it absorbs wind so make sure to unequip all weapons that have a Wind Element in them and don’t use wind magic, overall a very easy fight to win. Optional Boss fight against (9x) Poison Needle (recommended lvl 55) Poison Needle Overkill = Poison Poison Needle Steal = Refresh Herb, Poison, Blessing Nut, Black Crystal Poison Needle Drop = Mythril Ore, Refresh Herb, Blessing Nut, Black Crystal In this fight you face off against 9 poison needles now these monsters are the same that are out in the field, they have a mix of Physical and Magical attacks but shouldn’t become a problem only one is that make sure to defeat a few before ending your turn or you will get hit a lot, anything will work I recommend using different area effect combos in say magical combos as the key to defeat many at once they don’t have a lot of Hp so take advantage don’t let the shear number scare you, also you are restricted from using certain party members in this fight so prepare for that as well, overall a moderate fight to win. Optional Boss Fight against (2x) Ghouls & (2x) Lesser Devils 1st Battle (recommended lvl 55-56) Ghoul Overkill = Rib of the Dead Ghoul Steal = Rib of the Dead, Potent Herb Ghoul Drop = Mythril Ore, Mythril, Black Crystal Lesser Devils Overkill = Imps Wings Lesser Devils Drop = Refresh Herb, Mythril In this fight you face off against monsters from this layer now this fight is just one of five fights in a row, plus you only get to use Raze, Marie, York, Etna now these battles coming up are like any boss fight because you have to heal inside battle using items so bring plenty of Healing items because any lost HP moves over to the next fight, I recommend moving them off that line and spread them out to avoid multiple people taking damage, they have a mix of physical and magical attacks so heal when needed, after each battle you have the option to go on or end it, if this is your first time through I recommend going as far as you can if you can defeat all five battles get 6 different rewards, but wait another fight is coming up, overall a easy fight to win. Optional Boss fight against (3x) Garmr & (2x) Cold Gel 2nd battle (recommended lvl 55-56) Garmr (3x) Overkill = Berserker’s Mask Garmr (3x) Steal = Berserker’s Mask Garmr (3x) Drop = Mythril, Potent Herb, Mythril Ore Cold Gel (2x) Overkill = Ice Crystal, Black Crystal, Mythril Cold Gel (2x) Steal = Ice Crystal, Blessing Nut, Black Crystal Cold Gel (2x) Drop = Black Crystal, Mythril, Mythril Ore, Ice Crystal In this second fight you once again face off against monsters from this layer, now the garmr are the same as when you fought against them in the last layer, this battle should be easy just watch out for the cold gels as physical attacks don’t do as much plus they absorb ice, they use a mix of physical and magical attacks so bring items, once again you can only heal doing the battle so keep an eye on your HP, overall a very easy fight to win, but wait another battle is coming. Boss fight against Jedah part 1 (recommended lvl 60-62) Jedah Overkill = Genbu Gauntlet Jedah Steal = Life Vessel, VIT Up+, Elixir, Aerorite Jedah Drop = VIT Up+, Elixir, Aerorite In this boss fight you face off with Jedah now he uses his four basic skills against you which attack one person and does moderate to heavy damage, the hard part about this battle is that his def is very high so good luck on your first play through trying to overkill him, watch out he counters as well but you should be used to it by now, use what works magical combos work well since his resistance is somewhat low, the battle will end in 7 turns so try to kill him by then, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Augustine & (2x) Flame Knights & (2x) Devil’s Eye part 3 (recommended lvl 66-68) Important Note for Truth End: Do not kill Augustine just his Minions now some say you can but don’t just to be safe. Augustine Overkill = Thousand Needles Augustine Steal = Force Frame, Yellow Granite Augustine Drop = LUK Up+, Solid Mass (2x) Flame Knight Overkill = Fire Element (2x) Flame Knight Steal = Relief Herb, Fire Element, Black Crystal (2x) Flame Knight Drop = Mythril, Relief Herb, Black Crystal (2x) Devil’s Eye Overkill = Evil Eye (2x) Devil’s Eye Steal = Potent Herb, Evil Eye (2x) Devil’s Eye Drop = Mythril, Blessing Flower Ok in this fight you are against Augustine again but with different monsters, now these monsters are the same as in this layer they do a mix of Physical attacks and Magical as well, defeat them rather quickly, remember the Devil’s Eye are in the back so make sure someone can hit them, as for Augustine he has his same attacks from the previous fight plus he uses his Second Ex called Slashing Viper which carries the no action effect so be ready with Shaman herbs if this happens also once again watch out for sellout which still causes instant death, he also uses Steam Burst but still shouldn’t become an issue, use what you want to defeat his minions then you must wait him out for 10 turns before the battle ends, at this point spread out your party and keep the healing up till you win the fight, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Bourd part 2 (recommended lvl 67-69) Bourd Overkill = Royal Emblem Bourd Steal = Raitei, Yellow Granite, VIT Up+, Grand Line Bourd Drop = Grand Line, VIT Up+, Yellow Granite, Raitei In this fight you are against Bourd now he has all his same attacks from the previous fight including his Ex skill Drill Lance which still can become a big problem, once again his Def is high so overkilling him on your first play might not be possible, physical attacks do moderate damage to him and magical skills do heavy damage if you can guard break him then it might be easier to overkill him, battle will end in 5 turns, also lowering his Hp ends the battle as well, so drop him to about 55 % health if you really want to overkill him, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss fight against Demitri & Lilith final battle (recommended lvl 70-71) Demitri Overkill = Ymir’s Nails Demitri Steal = Yellow Granite, Aura Ring Demitri Drop = Black Shadow Flower, STR Up+ Lilith Overkill = Angel Halo Lilith Steal = Yellow Granite, Oboro, INT Up+, Fairy Cross Lilith Drop = INT Up+, Yellow Granite Important Note for truth end: do not kill Demitri you can hit him others have said that you can kill him but don’t just to be safe focus on Lilith. In this fight you face off against Demitri and Lilith both of them use all eight of their attacks, two of them hit a straight line so watch out all do moderate to heavy damage, but still shouldn’t become a problem, be careful Demitri may use his first Ex Demonic Bellow which hit’s a straight line and does heavy damage, use what you want focus on Lilith because she has really weak def and resistance so you should be able to overkill her, defeat either one and the fight will end or leave either in near death state and the fight will end, anything will work on Lilith, overall a very hard fight to win. Optional Boss fight against Qiongqi (recommended lvl 71-72) Qiongqi Overkill = Angel Wings Qiongqi Steal = Damuscite, Orichalcum Ore, STR Up+, Crimson Stone Statue Qiongqi Drop = STR Up+, Crimson Stone Statue In this fight you are against a Qiongqi now this fight can get difficult because of the attacks it can do, you have to use Raze so gear him up, he has different attacks one is Genesis Drive which covers front two rows of the field and does heavy damage it also use Ice Chakram which can cause Sleep so be prepared for that, he uses other physical attacks that do moderate damage but still shouldn’t become a problem he also counters so take it slow to avoid massive damage from counter now he does absorb one
element and that is Dark so don’t use Dark skills or weapons, and since it covers most of the field anyone should be able to hit it, use what you want, overall a moderately hard fight to win. Boss Fight against a Hammer Crab & (2x) Sahagin King 1st Battle (recommended lvl n/a) Hammer Crab Overkill = Orichalcum Ore Hammer Crab Drop = Potent Herb, Flodgestone (2x) Sahagin King Overkill = Orichalcum Ore (2x) Sahagin King Drop = Mythril, Flodgestone, Thin Fin, Blessing Flower Important Note for Truth End: Do Not let Troy or Ayatane Die in any of the three battles coming up or you can’t get true end they cant die even once In this fight you face off against these monsters, now these are exactly the same as in 4-2, they have a mix of Physical and Magical attacks, remember you are using only three members so prepare for that, any combo between Troy and Miko or Ayatane could make the fight easier, overall a moderate fight to win, but wait another battle is coming up. In this fight you face off with these monsters with using only Troy, Ayatane, Miko, now these monsters are the same as in 4-2, they have a mix of Physical and Magical attacks so be ready defeat the Shadow Fenrir first do to low def, the puddings since they are in the slime class have high def so be prepared, overall a very hard fight to win, but wait the final battle of this sequence is coming up. Boss Fight against Judas and Jedah 3rd battle (recommended lvl n/a) Important Note for Truth End: Do Not let Troy or Ayatane Die in any of the three battles coming up or you can’t get true end they cant die even once. Now this fight you cant win well you can but I don’t recommend hitting them, both do there most basic attacks as long as you don’t damage them, it is required that both of them stay alive, spread out Troy and Ayatane at each corner of the back row, now both of them will focus more on Troy then Ayatane so keep him healed just hold out for 4 turns to end the battle, both can counter and you don’t want them using their Ex, overall a easy fight to win as long as you hold out. Boss Fight against a Taown & (2x) Titania (recommended lvl 72-73) Taown Overkill = Crystal Bracelet Taown Steal = Damuscite, Clairvoyance, Life Vessel, Evil Eye Taown Drop = Life Vessel, Clairvoyance, Damuscite (2x) Titania Overkill = Orichalcum Ore (2x) Titania Steal = Flodegstone, Avalon Nut (2x) Titania Drop = Orichalcum Ore, Avalon Nut, Relief Herb In this boss fight you are against a Taown and two Titania now the Taown is exactly the same as the Qiongqi you fought earlier in this layer so same strategy applies to him as well, as for the Titania they are the same as in this layer they each have a mix of Magical attacks, as for the Taown he does most of Qiongqi attacks but he throws in Edge of Darkness which does Heavy damage to multiple party members, watch out for Shockwave as it hits one party member for Heavy damage and carries the no action effect so bring Shaman Herbs, since he is big anyone should be able to hit him he may take a while to break because his def is somewhat high, use what you want he does absorb dark magic skills so be sure not to use them however remember it will lower the gasuge for overbreak so you might want to use it have fun, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Reicher part 2 (recommended lvl 82-83) Reicher Overkill = Dainsleif Reicher Steal = Black Frame, Grassen Ore, Warrior Maiden's Hair, AGI Up+ Reicher Drop = AGI Up+ In this fight you are against Reicher now this fight is going to be very hard because of what he does, he uses most of his skills he has plus A fear which does massive damage and can kill party members, so be ready, he uses both Ex skills as well which both do heavy damage, keep your party spread out somewhat to avoid taking damage on more then one person other than A fear, anything will work he will activate parry at 25% health or less so use Magic or Ex try not to overkill him he gives you a Dainsleif which is ok but you might have one already, also he has counter so be ready for that as well, if you can kill him fast you can get a lot of exp so try to take advantage, overall a very hard battle to win. Boss Fight against Bourd part 3 (recommended lvl 92-95) Bourd Overkill = Tricut Blade Bourd Steal = Divine Guard, Grassen Ore, God of War’s Crown, VIT Up+ Bourd Drop = God of War’s Crown, VIT Up+, Grassen Ore In this fight you are against Bourd now he uses all his second string skills against you so be ready, they all do moderate to heavy damage he can still do Drill Lancer Ex and his second Ex called Plasma Force which hit’s a pretty good part of the field so be ready if member start to die, his second Ex will cause Status changes, once again his Def is high but his resistance is low so bring a magic user, try to Down Break him and Overbreak him to make things easier, Overkilling him nets you a Tricut Blade which you might have already gotten so not worth it, he can do heavy damage in one turn so watch out, he also as all other bosses uses counter so be ready, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss fight against Augustine & Zu part 4 (recommended lvl 93-96) Augustine Overkill = Krutana Augustine Steal = Grassen Ore, Cruelty Shield, Empowering Jelly, LCK Up+ Augustine Drop = LCK Up+, Grassen Ore Zu Overkill = Elixir of Life Zu Steal = Reliefkraut, Elixir Zu Drop = Lariat, Elixir In this fight you are against Augustine and a Zu now this battle can be hard, to begin Augustine has most of his second string skills and he still uses his two Ex which do heavy damage, all other attacks do moderate to heavy damage, watch out for Sellout as it carries the no action effect have shaman herbs ready if someone gets it, as for the Zu its just like the Rokh you fought earlier except it uses more attacks, watch out for Photon Spark which does heavy Wind damage and can put members into many status effects, also it uses Shockwave which also carries the no action effect so be ready, Genesis Drive does moderate damage but shouldn’t become a problem, take out who you want first, I recommend Augustine because of his sudden death that can occur, try to overkill him and you will get a Krutana which is ok but you maybe have one already, Then take out the Zu, overall a very hard fight to win. This part is for True End only. Boss Fight against the Dark Baku (recommended lvl 100-102) Dark Baku Overkill = Chicken Emblem Dark Baku Steal = Sagestone, Protection Ring, Esoteric Book, Black Frame Dark Baku Drop = Sagestone, Esoteric Book, Black Frame In this final boss fight in the main game you are against the Dark Baku now this battle can be very hard, it uses skills ranging from Thousand Deaths to Fierce Gust to A-fear all will do heavy damage however keeping your team spread out will minimize the damage taken, watch out for Fierce Gust which carries the paralyze side effect, he also does Fanatic Rave quite a bit as well but high avoid could make it miss a lot at least 400 avoid, watch out as he does Kaiser Breath at some point doing the fight which does Heavy Damage and will kill a party member since it can hit multiple members keep your team spread out to avoid having more than one get hit, now he absorbs dark but is weak to light so any light magical combos work well, as long as you keep your Hp very high he shouldn’t be that hard, try to defeat him in two turns for massive exp and gold but four turns will work as well, use anything but dark magic or weapons or skills, overall a very hard fight to win. Congrats on beating the Main Game on any route if you are on True End route you will continue on to 5-2 and 5-3 where stronger monsters more party members and stronger bosses await if you are on the other two routes you can start a NG+. Boss Fight against Judas and a Taotien final battle (recommended lvl 120-122) Judas Overkill = Rabbit Sword Judas Steal = Byakko Bracelet, Sagestone, STR Up+, Blue Ribbon Judas Drop = Blue Ribbon Taotien Overkill = Dark Bracelet Taotien Steal = Aerorite, Orichalcum Taotien Drop = Aerorite, Max HP Up+, Orichalcum In this final fight of 5-1 post game you are against Judas and a Taotien again, now they are both the same as when you fought them in the audience chamber in the main game just have a lot more health, they both use the same attacks as before so same strategy applies to this fight as well, the Taotien is highly resist to physical attacks, but not magical so magical combos can work well, it absorbs dark like before so light magic is very effective, watch out as they counter, and some of their attacks carry the instant death effect so be ready, overall a very hard fight to win. Welcome to the real post game of 5-2 now this is also on the true end route, the bosses and monsters here are very challenging and very hard to beat, best bet would be to lvl up close to 130-140 before passing the first boss. Also you can pass each boss how many times you want, however every time you pass the same boss things are a little bit different but not a lot. Boss Fight against a Cursed Sword (recommended lvl 125-128) Cursed Sword Overkill = Rusty Blade, Elixir, Sagestone Cursed Sword Steal = Sagestone, Reliefkraut, Orichalcum, Mighty Ring, Rusty Blade Cursed Sword Drop = Sagestone, Elixir, Orichalcum, Reliefkraut In this fight you are against a cursed sword, now if you are moderately lvled and have good avoid all attacks will miss since it uses physical and magical attacks, it likes to use A-fear and Thousand Deaths a lot, it has shockwave which carries the no action effect so bring shaman herbs, it also uses Genesis End which does moderate damage, it has parry at low health so be ready to use magic at some point in the battle, it also uses Gore Crush which does moderate damage, it absorbs dark so light magic is the way to go, remember its in the second row so make sure everyone can hit it, it will recover around 2,000 Hp every turn so make sure to make your damage count, overall a very hard fight to win, also you can fight it over and over so good exp and it is worth it. Boss Fight against Grava (recommended lvl 128-130) Grava Overkill = Genbu Gauntlet, Elixir Grava Steal = Elixir, Sagestone, Orichalcum, Angel Halo, Genbu Gauntlet, Rusty Bracelet, Fancy Foreign Gem Grava Drop = Sagestone, Orichalcum, Fancy Foreign Gem, Rusty Bracelet, VIT Up+ In this boss fight you are against Grava it now uses a mix of physical and magical attacks, two attacks that could become a problem one is Cruel Force which does moderate damage and carries the instant death side effect and it can stick it pretty well, other then that nothing really worth mentioning, he absorbs Dark so light is the way to go, try to burst break him he may have a lot of Hp it recovers about 5,000 HP per turn so make your damage count, he also uses grand swing at lower health which does about 30,000 + damage so make sure your HP is high enough, keep your team spread out have each one at each corner since it covers enough of the field so anyone can hit it, you can pass him again after defeating him and he is worth good exp so have at it, you need to be close to lvl 130 to really have a chance, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against the Lindwurm (recommended lvl 165-170) Lindwurm Overkill = Seiryu Sword, Elixir of Life Lindwurm Steal = Sagestone, Elixir, Orichalcum, Prometheus Ring, Grand Line, Seiryu Sword Lindwurm Drop = AGI Up+, Orichalcum, Sagestone, Elixir In this boss fight you are against the lindwurm now it is just a huge bird like the other ones you fought before but with more attacks, it uses a mix of magical and physical, watch out for Cthuga which can cause multiple status changes along with Fanatic Rave, it also uses Rising Storm which could put party members in status changes so be ready, as with all bosses it does Cruel Force which can cause instant death so be ready, keep your team spread out so only one person will get hit by most of his attacks, it is immune to earth until you drop its hp to zero, use whatever you want a magical combo might work best, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss fight against Emptiness (recommended lvl 178-182) Emptiness Overkill = Rusty Ring, Chicken Emblem, Sagestone Emptiness Steal = Sagestone, Reliefkraut, Rusty Ring, Chicken Emblem Emptiness Drop = Elixir, Sagestone, Chicken Emblem, Sagestone In this fight you are against a Emptiness now this fight can and will be hard don’t be fooled by its low HP as compared to other bosses, because this thing carries parry and perfect barrier at low hp so be ready, it absorbs magical Ex so the only way to get an overkill is to use Ex namely Heavenly Phoenix, if it doesn’t kill it you will have to wait a few turns to get more SP , now as for it’s attacks, it uses a mix of physical and magical attacks, all will do moderate to heavy damage, also at low HP it might use Hell Gaze which does massive damage and can inflict death so be ready, its def and resistance is a joke at the beginning so use what will work, try to overkill him but you may end up getting an I rating when you win so not a boss that’s worth it to fight over again, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Huntun (recommended lvl 179-182) Huntun Overkill = Elixir of Life, Chaos Frame Huntun Steal = Sagestone, Orichalcum, Elixir, Black Shadow Flower, Heaven Killer Huntun Drop = AGI Up+, Elixir, Flowing Moonlight In this fight you are against Huntun now he is the same as the others you fought doing the main game and against Judas in post game, it will use all it same attacks so same strategy applies, it absorbs dark and is very weak to light so light magic combos are the way to go, keep your team spread out since it covers most of the field so anyone should be able to hit it, kill one turn then unleash your combos, use whatever you want as long as its not dark until you drop its HP down to zero, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Incubus (recommended lvl 200-203) Incubus Overkill = Life Vessel, Suzaku Ring Incubus Steal = Sagestone, Elixir of Life, Orichalcum, Byakko Bracelet, Empowering Jelly Incubus Drop = Byakko Bracelet, Orichalcum, Elixir of Life, :uck Up+ In this fight you are against Incubus it use most of the same attacks that the Dark Baku used so same strategy applies to this fight as well, just some of the names are different, it still absorbs Dark but is very weak to light and its def is low, wait a turn then unleash by the third combo you should get an overbreak on him, then your second combo and others will do more damage, use whatever you want with the exception of dark skills or magic, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss fight against a Rune Blade (recommended lvl 220-223) Rune Blade Overkill = Master Emblem, Elixir of Life Rune Blade Steal = Sagestone, Orichalcum, Elixir of Life, Master Emblem, Memory of Melody Rune Blade Drop = Life Vessel, INT Up+, Sagestone In this fight you are against a rune blade know this fight is exactly the same as the previous fight with the cursed sword it does almost all attacks, from Thousand Deaths to Ragnarok to A-Fear, it also uses shockwave and you already know what that does, It has perfect barrier and parry but they activate at different times and if your combo can drop hp to zero it wont even activate, it recovers about 6,000 hp per turn so make your damage count, use whatever you want, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Satanael (recommended lvl 225-230) Satanael Overkill = Floating Stone Satanael Steal = Sagestone, Orichalcum, Warrior Maiden's Hair, Floating Stone, Elixir of Life Satanael Drop = INT Up+ In this fight you are against Satanael now he uses a lot of magic from Ragnarok to Cthuga and other strong spells a high resistance is important, most of his spells carry status effects so be ready with items or skills, keep your party spread out it has a higher resistance then def but any set of both physical and magical should work, also it will go into perfect barrier at low health so be ready use whatever you want, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss fight against Teomedra (recommended lvl 230-235) Teomedra Overkill = Elixir of Life, Mighty Ring Teomedra Steal = Sagestone, Elixir, Elixir of Life, 100-year-old Sake, Galaxy Champ, Mighty Ring, Orichalcum Teomedra Drop = Orichalcum, Sagestone, Galaxy Champ, Mighty Ring, Solid Mass STR Up+ In this boss fight you are against Teomedra he uses a lot of attacks that other bosses in here use, watch out as always for Cruel Force as it can cause instant death, his def is high but his resistance is low so magical is the way to go, try to Burst break him as best you can, waste your first turn then unleash your combos with double AP, use whatever you want, try to win this battle in one turn, he can recover about 8,000 HP per turn so make damage count, overall a very hard battle to win. Boss Fight against the Kaiser Dragon (recommended lvl 235-237) Kaiser Dragon Overkill = Elixir of Life, Snow Tree Drop Kaiser Dragon Steal = Elixir of Life, Sagestone, Snow Tree Drop, Suzaku Ring, Kaiser Dragon Drop = STR Up+, Orichalcum , Sagestone In this fight you are against a Kaiser Dragon he does most of the attacks as some of the other bosses does so you should be used to it by now, it still uses Cruel Force which can cause instant death so be ready, it also does Genesis End which is his weakest attack, his attacks are good at guard breaking unless you have a chicken ring on which nullifies the boss gaining any extra turns to attack, use whatever works, he can counter for big damage so be ready, as his hp drops his def gets higher so magical combos are the way to go, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Astral (recommended lvl 239-242) Astral Overkill = Blue Ribbon, Life Vessel Astral Steal = Life Vessel, Sagestone, Orichalcum, Demon Frame, Solid Mass, Sylph's Tear, Blue Ribbon Astral Drop = LCK Up+, Orichalcum, Sagestone, Life Vessel In this boss fight you are against Astral now he uses two breaths Grand Breath and Mighty Breath both attack a line and do very heavy damage, he uses other attacks that other bosses have used in this area so you should be used to it by now, he can counter so try to defeat him in two turns, that’s it, overall a very hard fight to win. Boss Fight against Vermillion and Both Arms (recommended lvl 255-260) Vermillion Overkill = Elixir of Life Vermillion Steal = Life Vessel, Sagestone, Rusty Blade, God of War's Crown Vermillion Drop = VIT Up+, Life Vessel, God of War's Crown Right Arm Overkill = Rusty Ring Right Arm Steal = Sagestone, Elixir Right Arm Drop= Sagestone, Chaos Frame Left Arm Overkill = Elixir, Rusty Ring, Rusty Bracelet Left Arm Steal = Sagestone, Reliefkraut, Chaos Frame Left Arm Drop = Sagestone, Rusty Bracelet In this fight you are against Vermillion and both its arms now this fight is very very hard to win even if your overly leveled now the left Arm does very strong Magical attacks and some cause Status changes other bosses have use these as well, the left Arm does more physical damage and is weaker and not much of a threat, as for Vermillion it uses a heavy mix of physical and magical and all spells do heavy damage, he also recovers about 8,000 Hp per turn so make your damage count now take out the left arm first, after that its up to you if you want to take the right arm out or focus on Vermillion, the right arm has parry at low health so be ready with magic and Ex, watch out for Vermillion Cruel Voice as it does 10,000+ damage and Goaza which does very heavy damage 60,000+ at lower hp, once both arms are taken out the battle is all about surviving now at about 75,000 Hp he will switch and go into perfect barrier and deep breath which means Ex is the way to go, physical attacks will still do some damage, this is where counter skill comes in make sure to have it equip on your armor or ring so you can do heavy damage to the boss might be the only way to do damage to him, if you are over leveled then going for an I ranking is very good since you wont get much exp, use whatever you want, overall a very extremely hard battle to win. Boss fight against Shen Long final boss fight of 5-2 (recommended lvl 255-260) Shen Long Overkill = Life Vessel Shen Long Steal = Sagestone, Life Vessel, Dragon Frame, Esoteric Book Shen Long Drop = Orichalcum, Sagestone In this final fight of 5-2 you are against Shen Long now compared to the last boss fight with Vermillion he is very easy, he uses a lot of attacks that previous bosses have used so you should know how to defend against them, now he does use Fanatic Rave a lot but a good avoid will make it miss, he also uses A-fear but you should be used to it, watch out for Hells Gaze as it can cause instant death, use whatever you want he doesn’t absorb any elements so have fun, overall a very easy fight to win. That ends 5-2 now if you are playing hard you move on to 5-3 if you are playing either easy or normal mode and you are on the true route you will end in 5-2 and have to start a new game or NG+ on hard mode. Welcome to the last area of the game 5-3 now if you made it here good work now it gets even harder now here's a few things to remember, first you need to be between 250-260 in order to have a chance at winning, plus add in your main teams ultimate weapons, second every enemy is at a higher lvl around 290-300 in the opening area so keep that in mind, third you will meet the Clione and its at lvl 750 which means you cant run away unless your avoid is very high and you most likely wont survive the attacks, forth you will fight every boss from 5-2 but they are at higher lvls so prepare for that, and fifth as a treat you get to face off aganist doppelgangers of all your party members to top it off, so on with 5-3. Also like in 5-2 you can fight each boss over and over again.
