The Breeder; It’s a huge alien, it acts as the boss of this map and is extremely dangerous. - This map is extremely big, each section you go to is bigger than the ones in Point of Contact. - The money you receive for killing each alien is now less than what you got in Point of Contact but there are way more aliens per round than there were in Point of Contact. - They introduce an alien type weapon called the VENOM-X; it spews out SCORPION GAS which does damage over time which is extremely useful for crowds and tough enemies. - You cannot use the SOLFALM designator or MOTAR STRIKE in the FACILITY as there is a roof with no windows to call in the strikes. - They have introduced the LOCKER KEY; this will unlock a locker in each of the sections in the map, here you will get a RANDOM CUSTOMIZED WEAPON. - They have added new weapons for NIGHTFALL, The MAVERICK, SVU, LSAT, ARX-160. =============================================================================== 0. [003] =============================================================================== Nightfall is the second chapter of the popular mode of EXTINCTION, here you will learn more about the aliens and what they plan on doing. =============================================================================== IV. The Classes [004] =============================================================================== There are 4 classes in the game; ================= WEAPON SPECIALIST ================= UNLOCKED: STARTING CLASS BASE: +20% bullet damage +1: Swap weapons faster, move faster when ADS, use tactical/lethal equipment faster +2: Faster ADS +3: Faster Reloading +4: 50% more bullet damage, less bullet spread This guy is probably going to bail you out when there are a lot of aliens to deal with since this class excels in killing aliens, the extra bullet damage as its base skill is great to begin with and when you and when start leveling up the class you’re going to need a lot ammo ==== TANK ==== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 3 BASE: 25% more HP [adds 1 extra bar of HP] +1: Melee attacks do 25% more damage +2: 50% more HP [adds 1 extra bar of HP] +3: 75% more HP [adds 1 extra bar of HP], Melee attacks do 50% more damage +4: 100% more HP [adds 1 extra bar of HP], Melee attacks do 100% more damage This guy is your bruiser, this is guy probably going to be last guy standing when you guys get screwed over when you get swarmed because the high HP it has.I recommend at least leveling up to at least 2 extra bars of HP to be on the safe side at the beginning before levelling up other skills, this ensures you wont have any problems for a while till later in the map. ======== ENGINEER ======== UNLOCKED: 5 BASE: When drill is dropped by you it starts with 125HP, Repair the drill faster, Earn Bonus Cash +1: Repair the drill even faster +2: Traps now earn back cash +3: Increased protection when repairing the drill, Traps now last longer and cost less for you +4: Increased trap/explosive damage, and gain 2000 more cash to hold in wallet This guy is the money maker of the team and the guy who supports the team with all the TRAPS, AMMO and STRIKE PACKAGES because of all the money you make. This guy will ensure your team makes it through a lot of rounds because of the surplus of cash it has, make sure to upgrade it to the highest level to carry money to support your team even better. ===== MEDIC ===== UNLOCKED: 10 BASE: Revive people faster when downed +1: Move faster, Increased protection when reviving a downed player +2: Longer sprints, players near you heal faster +3: Ignore the gas clouds from scorpions +4: Move extremely fast, health regeneration applies to anywhere on map This class is a must for every game you play, the MEDIC is the most essential player as it can heal players when around it or further away when upgraded as well as reviving downed players faster to get back in the action. ====== RELICS ====== So you can only use one of these guys when you have prestige once, you then can make the game harder by giving yourself a handicap but it gives you more points in the end, there are a total of 5 relics in the game, you can only equip the max amount relics for the amount of times you have prestige. TAKE MORE DAMAGE: Like it says you take more damage from everything that also includes TRAPS and EXPLOSIONS. PISTOL ONLY: You only use your pistol, you cannot buy another gun so choose wisely when picking it. IM POOR: This means you every kill you get if half of its original cash, you also get half your wallet size as well as when you clear a BARRIER HIVE you get only 1000 and not 3000. MORTAL: This means you cannot be a WEAPON SPECIALIST, TANK, ENGINEER OR MEDIC. DO LESS DAMAGE: You do half your original damage to the aliens, making damage from your guns do less damage but not from EQUALIZER or STRIKE PACKAGES. =============================================================================== V. Pistols [005] =============================================================================== What kind of soldier would you be without your trusty sidearm, this is the only weapon you are not allowed to trade in. ==== P226 ==== UNLOCKED: STARTING WEAPON +1: Increased damage and range +2: 50% more ammo in clip +3: Carry two primary weapons +4: Carry 2 pistols + double the ammo This starting pistol is pretty decent to start off with, the only problem is the damage and its fire rate and recoil. ========== .44 MAGNUM ========== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 7 +1: Increased damage and range +2: 50% more ammo in clip +3: Carry two primary weapons +4: Carry 2 pistols + double the ammo This is a powerful gun which takes out aliens with a few shots but the only drawback is that there are only 6 shots in gun and powerful recoil and also that it takes a while to reload it making it useful for WEAPON SPECIALISTS. ==== M9A1 ==== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 13 +1: Increased damage and range +2: 50% more ammo in clip +3: Carry two primary weapons +4: Carry 2 pistols + double the ammo This 3-round burst pistol is very useful pistol for people you can take the time to aim and pick off aliens, it has great damage and good ammo to last a while. ============ MP-443 GRACH ============ UNLOCKED: LEVEL +1: Increased damage and range +2: 50% more ammo in clip +3: Carry two primary weapons +4: Carry 2 pistols + double the ammo This fully automatic pistol is the most used gun in the game as it extremely fast and reloads really fast, the damage is alright because of the fast fire rate. =============================================================================== VI. Ammo Types [006] =============================================================================== Of course they wouldn’t let you just use normal type bullets for a futuristic game, there are 4 different types of ammo in the game; ============ REGULAR AMMO ============ UNLOCKED: STARTING AMMO COST: $1200 BASE: Refills 40% of maximum ammo +1: Refill bullet weapons 70% of max ammo +2: Refills all your ammo +3: Fills current clip and max ammo +4: Ammo regenerates if 20ft of the box This is really useful at least 1 person to have in the map, all you have do it level it up twice as you get max ammo, this is extremely useful for WEAPON SPECIALISTS as when they have faster reloading they will burn through ammo extremely fast. ========= STUN AMMO ========= UNLOCKED: LEVEL 2 COST: $1000 BASE: Gives 30% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +1: Gives 40% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +2: Gives 50% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +3: Gives 60% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +4: Gives 70% more ammo when dropped to you and your team This not used by anyone because its useless, it might be fun to use but nobody really uses it, it has a chance to stun the alien which stops them in their tracks. =============== INCENDIARY AMMO =============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 12 COST: $1100 BASE: Gives 30% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +1: Gives 40% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +2: Gives 50% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +3: Gives 60% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +4: Gives 70% more ammo when dropped to you and your team This is really useful as it does damage over time to aliens which sets them aflame, this for tagging targets for other people when trying to do weapon challenges. ============== EXPLOSIVE AMMO ============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 20 COST: $1250 BASE: Gives 30% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +1: Gives 40% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +2: Gives 50% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +3: Gives 60% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +4: Gives 70% more ammo when dropped to you and your team This is probably the used ammo in the game as it is the it does splash damage when it touches anything, this is extremely useful when taking out SEEKERS but then makes taking out armored enemies harder as the splash damage doesn’t affect them as much. =================== ARMOR PIERCING AMMO =================== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 25 COST: $1100 BASE: Gives 30% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +1: Gives 40% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +2: Gives 50% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +3: Gives 60% more ammo when dropped to you and your team +4: Gives 70% more ammo when dropped to you and your team This is basically like regular ammo except you can pierce armored enemies easier, this is extremely useful against RHINOS and HUNTERS. =============================================================================== VII. Team Support [007] =============================================================================== Here is where you help your team buy dropping support items that can speed up movement and health regeneration, reload faster, to giving extra protection with some armor. =============== TEAM EXPLOSIVES =============== UNLOCKED: STARING SUPPORT COST: $800 BASE: 2 Semtex + 1 Extra Ammo for Launchers +1: 2 Canister Bombs + 2 Extra Ammo for Launchers +2: 2 Bouncing Betties, 3 Extra Ammo for Launchers +3: 4 Claymore + 4 Extra Ammo for Launchers +4: 4 Bouncing Betties + 5 Extra Ammo for Launchers Not a lot of people use this but can be extremely useful for protecting the drill, this is good for people who use launchers as you get more ammo for it. =============== FERAL INSTINCTS =============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 4 COST: $800 BASE: Screen turns yellow but enemies are highlighted, hear better and see through walls +1: Move 20% faster +2: Regenerate lost HP faster +3: Increases duration of support by x2 +4: Increases duration of support by x3 + Increased sprint endurance This is the most useful SUPPORT in the game, not only does it highlight enemies it also improves movement as well as faster HP regeneration. ===== ARMOR ===== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 8 COST: $1000 BASE: Nothing +1: Gives 25% armor protection +2: Gives 50% armor protection +3: Gives 100% armor protection +4: Gives 125% armor protection At least 1 person should have this is its like having extra HP, this is useful as it does stack [ONLY TO 60 SECONDS] if not leveled all the way. ============= TEAM BOOSTERS ============= UNLOCKED: LEVEL 14 COST: $700 BASE: Gives you sleight of hand for 15 seconds +1: Increases sleight of hand duration to 30 seconds +2: Repair drill faster +3: Increases sleight of hand/repair drill duration to 45 seconds +4: Increases sleight of hand/repair drill duration to 60 seconds This is also as good as FERAL INSTINCTS, it helps you reload weapons faster and is extremely useful for people who are not WEAPON SPECIALISTS but this is also a downside as you burn through ammo really fast. =============== RANDOM SUPPLIES =============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 17 COST: $900 BASE: Nothing +1: Level 1 support items as well as a variety of rare items +2: Level 2 support items as well as a variety of rare items +3: Level 3 support items as well as a variety of other items +4: Level 4 supply items, rare items are now more common Do not use this as you can switch out your current ammo which another one as well as items you have obtained, this can also be a good thing as you can get some really good stuff but its all random and can get the same random stuff over again and again. =============================================================================== VIII. Strike Packages [008] =============================================================================== Most of these packages have a lot of explosions with them with some auto targeting ones as well. === IMS === UNLOCKED: STARTING STRIKE PACKAGE COST: $1250 BASE: 4 proximity bombs that pop in the air and find their target +1: Each explosive now has bigger blast radius +2: Enhanced targeting system + faster firing rate +3: Explosives now have a bigger blast radius + More Damage +4: IMS now contains 6 explosives This little bad boy is used protecting the drill, this is a good idea to have when you are being chased by aliens when you cant defend it, this also good for taking out RHINOS. ============ MOTAR STRIKE ============ UNLOCKED: LEVEL 9 COST: $1300 BASE: 3 Mortars with moderate damage and small blast radius +1: 4 Mortars with moderate damage and small blast radius +2: 4 Mortars with high damage and medium blast radius +3: 5 Mortars with high damage and large blast radius +4: 6 Mortars with high damage and large blast radius Not many people this because it’s a joke, they only use it for fun times, this package is like a SOLFAM DESIGNATOR except they hit near your position, this also bad because of the explosions make the screen shake a lot and the smoke also affect you a lot and make it annoying when someone is using it. ============== TRINITY ROCKET ============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 18 COST: $1800 BASE: Target an area with 1 guided missile +1: Improved targeting outlines +2: Fire a smart drone projectile while controlling the missile +3: Fire a 2 drone projectile while controlling the missile +4: Fire a 4 drone projectile while controlling the missile This is also another useless package as it is a waste of money to use, its basically like what you use in multiplayer except you have to upgrade to get more missiles, DO NOT USE IT. ========== SENTRY GUN ========== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 22 COST: $2000 BASE: Basically a portable mini-gun that fire by itself +1: Improved targeting system + Wider firing arc + Double its original range +2: Increases the firing rate +3: Armor piercing ammo more effective against RHINOS and armor plating + 30% more ammo +4: Place 2 turrets + Less chance of overheating This is most used and most useful package in the game, this will defend areas that you cant as its like having an extra player, when is this is upgraded it becomes stronger and shoots way faster. ======= VULTURE ======= UNLOCKED: LEVEL 28 COST: $2200 BASE: A drone that hovers over you that targets anything that is hostile but does not last that long +1: Increased damage +2: Increases targeting system and range of turret +3: Longer operating time +4: Fires a rocket once in a while This is also another useful package but its operation time is a very annoying thing as it lasts for maybe 45 seconds - 1 minute which is a bummer since you have to make the most of it, it hovers above you making it the only package not being able to be destroyed by aliens. =============================================================================== IX. Equalizer [009] =============================================================================== When you need a little more firepower to take down some aliens, look no further. ================ PORTABLE MINIGUN ================ UNLOCKED: STARTING EQUALIZER COST: $1100 BASE: Start off with 100 bullets +1: Ammo is increased to 125 + Faster spin-up time for gun +2: Max damage from any range with ammo at 150 +3: Armor piercing ammo +4: Ammo is increased to 200 + Gun now fires explosive bullets Not a bad thing to have in the beginning to take out the HIVES and aliens, this is basically having a portable turret anywhere you go, you have to upgrade a little bit for it be useful. ============== GRENADE TURRET ============== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 6 COST: $1000 BASE: Starts off with 10 grenades +1: Increases firing rate and ammo to 15 grenades +2: Increases damage + Bigger blast radius +3: Turret now starts with 30 grenades +4: Grenades now are incendiary This is a better version of the PORTABLE MINIGUN, not only does it do more damage you can does splash damage, you must upgrade it to 30 grenades to make it really useful, most of small aliens in 1 hit and SCORPIONS/HUNTERS in 2-3 hits making it really useful when fighting clusters of them. =========== RIOT SHIELD =========== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 15 COST: $700 BASE: Start off with 10HP + Slow movement +1: Medium attack speed + 15HP for shield +2: Move faster when shield is equipped +3: Fast melee attacks + 20HP for shield +4: Fire melee attacks + 25HP for shield This is the most used EQUALIZER because its like having extra HP, this will defend against every attack from against the aliens, the RIOT SHIELD will protect your front when equipped and when its on your back it will protect your back making it useful when reviving a downed player or repairing the drill as you face another the other way to protect yourself. [DO NOT ATTACK AN ALIEN AS IT WILL LOSE HP MAKING IT BREAK FASTER] ==== MK32 ==== UNLOCKED: LEVEL 23 COST: $1500 BASE: Start with 6 grenades +1: No splash damage from MK32 +2: Move faster + Bigger blast radius +3: Incendiary grenades do more damage +4: MK32 now has 12 grenades Unlike the version in multiplayer that shoots 2 grenades this one shoots only 1 grenade at a time, its extremely heavy and not as good as a grenade turret, you might be able to move freely but the lack of ammo is quite a disappointment. ============= DEATH MACHINE ============= UNLOCKED: LEVEL 29 COST: $2000 BASE: Starts with 100 bullets +1: Reduces the recoil when firing +2: Increases movement +3: Increases the damage when used in bursts +4: Ammo is increased to 200 bullets This is fun to use but the ammo and fast fire rate makes it quite useless as you need to make sure all the bullets count, only when fully upgraded is it useful. This can mow down enemies easily but like I said you need to be really accurate. =============================================================================== X. Special Items/Glitches in game [010] =============================================================================== The special items are things found from TRASH BAGS or CONTAINERS scattered across the map, if you find one if will be highlighted in green and you need to hold the RELOAD to acquire the item [NOTE: IF YOU FIND AN ITEM ANOTHER PERSON CAN PICKUP BEFORE YOU AS YOU NEED TO PICK IT UP AGAIN] FLARE: When this bad boy is dropped aliens will stop attacking you and focus on the light, everything except SEEKERS and RHINOS go towards the light, if you attack the aliens there is a chance they will attack you, this is extremely useful when in a pinch or need to heal other players, always have one handy. HYPNO KNIFE: This turns aliens into allies, this lasts for a really long time or till your alien is killed, useful for drawing aliens to another target. TROPHY: Basically the same thing when used in multiplayer except has more uses now. SOLFAM DESIGNATOR: This lets you call in 3 missiles [1 EACH], ADS and then fire to drop a missile, extremely useful when fighting a cluster BOUNCING BETTIES/CLAYMORES/CANISTER BOMBS/SEMTEX GRENADES: Basically the same use as they would be in multiplayer, just blow up things. CASH: This can be found lying around the map, by searching things you can get money AMMO: Like cash this can be found around the map, this can be any of 6 ammos in the game ATTACHMENTS: These are found by searching things in the map, you can only equip certain attachments to certain weapons [LIKE IN MULTIPLAYER YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 1 MUZZLE OR SIGHT AT A TIME]. Now here are some glitches in the game that I have done or have seen in the game; - You can drop $1000 for other players by jumping first then holding down the AIM and JUMP button at the same time till you drop money [A INDICATOR WILL APPEAR SHOWING A $$$ SIGN SHOWING YOU HAVE DROPPED THE CASH, YOU CANNOT PICKUP YOUR OWN DROPPED CASH] - The MAVERICK will disappear after the 2nd or 3rd HIVE at the starting area will disappear and cannot be bought unless you get it from the LOCKER. =============================================================================== XI. Challenges of Extinction [011] =============================================================================== They included challenges in the game so you can upgrade your skills, you should try to complete all of them to make it easier but if cant then there is going to be a problem, they are divided into certain sections which is done at each HIVE; ================= WEAPON CHALLENGES ================= - Get X amount of kills with Assault Rifles - Get X amount of kills with SMGS - Get X amount of kills with Shotguns - Get X amount of kills with Sniper Rifles - Get X amount of kills with Pistols - Get X amount of kills with LMG - Keep shot accuracy at 50% or 75% ================ ALIEN CHALLENGES ================ - Find the LEPER in 30 seconds and kill it - Kill X amount of SCOUTS with melee attacks - Kill 1 SCORPION with a melee attack - Kill x amount of SEEKERS - Don’t take any damage from SEEKERS - Kill 1 Phantom with a melee attack * Kill the Breeder in 90 seconds * Kill 10 eggs before they hatch before killing the Breeder ================== KILLING CHALLENGES ================== - Get X amount of kills with PROPANE TANKS - Get X amount of kills with TRAPS - Get X amount of kills with TURRETS - Get X amount of kills with EXPLOSIVES - Get X amount of kills while aliens are jumping - Get X amount of kills while prone - Get X amount of kills on highlighted enemies - Get X amount of kills while at full health - Get X amount of kills in 30 seconds =============== MISC CHALLENGES =============== - Protect a random player - Don’t spend any cash for X amount of time - Spend X amount of cash - Do not reload for X amount of time - Do not go to LAST STAND - Do not BLEED OUT [DOGTAGS] * Do not any damage {ONLY AT BEGINNING HIVE] * Only use melee to damage aliens [ONLY AT BEGINNING HIVE] [IF I HAVE MISSED ANY OR IF THEY ARE INCORRECT PLEASE EMAIL ME] =============================================================================== XII. Meet the Aliens [012] =============================================================================== SCOUTS: These guys are the cannon fodder of the game, they are weak but if they swarm you they will take you down in seconds SCORPIONS: These guys are the most annoying guys in the game, they do attack you directly but rather shoot balls of venom at you, you take the initial damage from the ball then after it lands it causes a cloud of gas to remain which hurts you over time so move out of it. HUNTERS: These guys are a super scout, not only do they do a lot of damage only one them is needed to take you out, they are extremely fast and have a lot of armor plating protecting them. SEEKERS: These guys are easy to detect as you see a METEOR drop from the sky and then the SEEKERS come out, they are faster than HUNTERS and explode when they get close enough to you, they are extremely weak in HP but high in DAMAGE. RHINO: This guy is the super evolved version of the HUNTER, he will chase down one player at a time till you are all down, he may be slow but when he gets going you better find somewhere to hide, they have the most HP and lot of armor protecting only hitting the FEET or HEAD/NECK will do extra damage. PHANTOM: This guy is like a HUNTER expect the only difference is that is blue and every time it jumps it teleports to another spot, they have more HP and more ARMOR than a HUNTER making them really deadly. =============================================================================== The Loadout [LDO] =============================================================================== Before we begin, this is what you should have when playing NIGHTFALL; ===== SQUAD ===== This what your team should look like; WEAPON SPECIALIST [2], ENGINEER, MEDIC WEAPON SPECIALIST [2], MEDIC [2] WEAPON SPECIALIST, TANK, ENGINEER, MEDIC ==== AMMO ==== You should all have matching ammo which will make picking ammo no problem or at least 3 guys with matching ammo and 1 with regular ammo. I would suggest INCENDIARY AMMO as it is extremely useful because there are so many aliens and in the later rounds there are too many SCORPIONS/HUNTERS/RHINOS. You could also use EXPLOSIVE AMMO which is good for 3 of the 4 parts in the map, this is really helpful when getting swarmed or taking out a lot of SEEKERS. =============== STRIKE PACKAGES =============== You should have at least 2 guys or not all guys using the SENTRY TURRETS, these guys are like having an extra player, these will help you thin out the herd making it easier on you and on your ammo. You should have at least an IMS as this will be a lifesaver at some points when you can’t reach the DRILL in time. ========= EQUALIZER ========= Have a GRENADE TURRET handy as its extremely helpful against the BREEDER and for taking out multiple enemies but the downside is that you cant move and have to make all your shots count. Most people prefer the RIOT SHIELD as will save you a lot when running away to heal. ============ SKILL BUILDS ============ Here I’ll show you what you have what skills you should upgrade first and what you have for each class. This is what a WEAPON SPECIALIST should do to be a team player; [1] AMMO: If you have regular ammo equipped you should upgrade it to +2 as it will always give you max ammo and if you player with special ammo you focus on upgrading to +4 to help out your team a lot. [2] CLASS: You should upgrade it to +3 for faster reloading which will make using any type weapon awesome but don’t forget that having faster reloading will eat your ammo fast. [3] SUPPORT: You going to have ARMOR, you want to have at least +2 but isn’t really a priority for now, if you have to much cash toss this down. [4] STRIKE PACKAGE: Have a SENTRY TURRET, this is also not a priority, you shouldn’t really upgrade this as you need to upgrade your first 3 skills. [5] EQUALIZER: Not really what to pick but you should have a RIOT SHIELD This is what a TANK should do to be a team player; [1] CLASS: You should focus on getting at to +3 skill, I know this might sound selfish but your probably the guy whos going to outlast everyone since you can a lot of damage. [2] SUPPORT: You want to have either TEAM BOOSTERS or FERAL INSTINCTS but I would recommend you picking TEAM BOOSTERS as this will gladly help out other players that aren’t WEAPON SPECIALISTS. [3] EQUALIZER: Pick the RIOT SHIELD, even though you are putting points into your CLASS you should put some into this because protecting your back is important too as well as protecting your front, since you will have the big guns you will move slower. [4] AMMO: You should match whatever your team picks except REGULAR AMMO, as long as another person puts points into the ammo your shouldn’t have to worry about this. [5] STRIKE PACKAGE: Have a SENTRY TURRET or a VULTURE, you don’t have to put that much points to this as you need to put more into your CLASS and SUPPORT. This is how you should play an ENGINEER for the team; [1] EQUALIZER: Have the GRENADE TURRET and upgrade it to +3 meaning you get 30 grenades, this is extremely useful against the BREEDER and for defending areas which you can get a lot of cover from attacks aliens which will help out a lot. [2] CLASS: After getting +3 for your GRENADE TURRET you want to upgrade this to +4, this is extremely important because upgrading this grants you increased damage with TRAPS and a longer duration, also TRAPS will cost less and when you reach +4 its grants you 2000 more cash to hold in your wallet as well as more damage with EXPLOSIVES. [3] SUPPORT: You want to have either TEAM BOOSTERS or FERAL INSTINCTS but I would recommend you picking TEAM BOOSTERS as this will gladly help out other players that aren’t WEAPON SPECIALISTS. [4] STRIKE PACKAGE: You want to have a SENTRY TURRET but shouldn’t any points into it until you have upgraded your CLASS to +4. [5] AMMO: You should match whatever your team picks except REGULAR AMMO, as long as another person puts points into the ammo your shouldn’t have to worry about this. This is how you should play an MEDIC for the team; [1] CLASS: You want to have +3 on this you can avoid taking damage from gas damage from the SCORPIONS and should try to upgrade it to +4 but should put it into SUPPORT. [2] SUPPORT: The one you have to pick is FERAL INSTINCTS, you want to upgrade this to +3 to make it useful but if you can make it to +4 that’s even better, the only problem is that you have to choose between for CLASS and this. This is also the best when used by the MEDIC because you heal fast as part of your skill and with FERAL INSTINCTS you heal even faster. [3] EQUALIZER: Having the RIOT SHIELD is extremely helpful as if you need to protect your back when reviving your team as well protecting your back when running away. [4] AMMO: You should match whatever your team picks except REGULAR AMMO, as long as another person puts points into the ammo your shouldn’t have to worry about this. [5] STRIKE PACKAGE: An IMS or SENTRY TURRET would do but it’s not really worth upgrading as you are being a support player. =============================================================================== XIII. The Entrance [013] =============================================================================== As you start search the boxes in one of the four corners where start, after the guy guys he drops 2 ammo clips and 2 semtexs, run up to the container and kill the HUNTER and there is another one NE of it, search all the boxes before dropping the DRILL. ======== HIVE 1-4 ======== So before you start off drilling you should kill the HUNTER in the container just in front of you, also before you start drilling you should start searching the whole area for items. The first HIVE you want to destroy is the one near the CATWALK because if you find a LOCKER KEY you get a free weapon, for the next HIVE you should probably buy a weapon but if you have a guy dropping ammo then a PISTOL is still fine, now for the next 2 HIVES you could have some problems as a lot of aliens show up now mostly HUNTERS, SCORPIONS and SEEKERS as well as the new PHANTOM alien which shows up at every HIVE for now on, you guys should be in pairs or at least near each other to help each other out. =========== THE BREEDER =========== There are 2 challenges for the BREEDER; [1] Kill the Breeder in 90 seconds [THIS CAN BE ACHIEVE BUT MUST HAVE EXCEPTIONAL AIM TO HIT ITS HEAD AND BLAST IT WITH THE GRENADE TURRET] [2] Kill 10 eggs before they hatch before defeating the BREEDER [THIS IS EXTREMELY EASY, JUST LOOK FOR WHERE THE EGGS LAND AND DESTROY THEM, THEY ARE REALLY WEAK] When you reach the snowed in gate, something will move and the BREEDER will appear, here you should set up a GRENADE TURRET in front of the BREEDER and attack it [YOU MUST ATTACK ITS HEAD, THE GLOWING PART TO DAMAGE IT], place SENTRY TURRETS on the side but make sure it doesn’t attack the BREEDER as it cannot damage it. Careful of its 2 attacks; The main attack is its rapid fire shot which will instantly kill you if you take a full blast but has a very short duration, the second attack is its red poisonous gas which is like the SCORPIONS gas cloud but lasts longer and is stronger, you also want to destroy the 3 eggs its launches [EACH KILL GIVES YOU $200] and if you let them hatch it will be a HUNTER which will be a problem. Also you want to be careful of the amount of aliens that show up, be careful of the SEEKERS and SCORPIONS as they get you if you pay too much attention to the BREEDER. =============================================================================== XIV. The Compound [014] =============================================================================== ========= HIVES 5-8 ========= Now is where the fun truly begins, I cannot really give you a good strategy for each HIVE as you could swarmed at any time ending your game [YOU CAN GET SWARMED BY RHINOS/HUNTERS/SCORPIONS, I KNOW THIS AS IT HAS HAPPEN QUITE A FEW TIMES ON ME, EVEN THOUGH A REALLY GOOD TEAM, WE DIDN’T HAVE THE SKILL POINTS TO FIGHT THEM OFF]. You really want to stick together as if one person goes RAMBO it could cost you the round, always be tossing ammo and support items and don’t be saving your money [UNLIKE POINT OF CONTACT WHICH YOU COULD DO AS THE MONEY IS MORE WHEN YOU KILL AN ALIEN, NIGHTFALL HAS WAY MORE BUT GIVES LESS CASH] also having SENTRIES and using TRAPS are also very helpful. Here we go anyways, for the first HIVE here, go for the one NORTH of the CASH BOX on the bottom floor to get to some LOCKERS if you have a KEY, for this one you should a SENTRY above and activate the TRAP to protect, also if you stand on the railing their you will not take damage from it making it easier to kill aliens as you are bait. If you also get the HIVE above this one you should do the same thing to protect the DRILL. Now if you get the HIVES on the left or right side of these ones they might be tricky as they are harder to defend. The one on the left is more doable as the aliens as the aliens don’t have as many places to come from and are easy to spot, place a SENTRY in front of the DRILL and one behind on the CONTAINER to get any that are in your blind spot, be careful now as lots of HUNTERS/SCORPIONS like to show up with the occasional RHINOS spawning. The right side is a very tricky spot as you are vulnerable from every direction [HAVING FERAL INSTINCTS WILL BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL], all I can say is good luck as even I have really hard times doing this spot. Now when you get to the last HIVE here you will be in a world of pain, plant SENTRY GUNS facing the outwards to have maximum effectiveness, this will be really hard as you have to move around a lot to avoid the SCORPIONS, takeout the RHINOS right away as these guys will bring your downfall, also you want to make SCORPIONS your priority targets as these guys will be more deadlier than RHINOS. =============================================================================== XV. The Facility [015] =============================================================================== ========== HIVES 9-13 ========== Just to let you know you cannot use MOTAR STRIKES or SOLFAMS here as there is a roof blocking all incoming artillery. This will surely bring a lot of deaths because of the CQC here and not to mention the annoying amount of SCORPIONS now spawning. So the first HIVE you want to go for is the one in the middle which contains the VENOM-X which is the weapon is going to save your ASS, once you obtain this is should make taking out swarms and RHINOS easier. The HIVE NW of the VENOM-X one in the corner will be hard but not impossible, here you should plant SENTRIES guarding both entry points making it easier for you to takeout weakened enemies. Now for the one on the stairs, this can be extremely hard if you don’t takeout the SCORPIONS that gas you a lot, you should SENTRIES facing where the VENOM-X is and have at least 2 people guarding the DRILL while thinning out the SCORPIONS, the other 2 guys are on bait control and should try to keep the aliens away from the DRILL so the other guys can deal with the SCORPIONS. Now for HIVE that leads to DR.CROSS, here at this spot their aren’t a lot of spots to have a defendable position and must rely on running around a lot and not staying in the same spot for a long time, you should plant SENTRIES on the CRATES to help out. Now for the last HIVE in this area which is at the very top, here is where it get extremely tricky, plant SENTRIES on the corners on the platform near the HIVE, then activate the TRAP on the bottom to protect them [YOU MUST ALWAYS ACTIVATE THE TRAP, THIS WILL MAKE THE ROUND SO MUCH EASIER], since your near the end of the game they are going to throw everything at you to stop you from completing your mission. You should all be on the very top, one person guarding the DRILL with the other 3 running on the CATWALKS, if you fall get backup right away. =============================================================================== XVI. The Breeder [016] =============================================================================== Now here comes the final part of the game, you should all have at least max skills and at least 4 weapons; 2 Primaries, Your Pistols and Venom-X. Here you should plant SENTRY TURRETS to protect you but put them in defendable positions to help you out immensely, also if anyone has a GRENADE TURRET you should protect them as they will be your main attacker, your VENOM-X will help out takeout the BREEDER, it will damage it as well as when it hurts it enough it will expose its weak spot which is the glowing part in its chest. Now lets begin on how to beat the BREEDER, first off you guys should split in pairs to help each other, plant SENTRY TURRETS and defend them, also you should be placing SUPPORT ITEMS mainly FERAL INSTINCTS and TEAM BOOSTERS to help out, start blasting its head like you did when you first met it but be careful as now its main attack that shoots out bullets lasts longer as well as its gas cloud and also of the insane amount of aliens that come at you, when RHINOS and PHANTOMS show up you have to deal with them first as they are really big nuisance. There are 4 main pillars in this area that are like HIVES, be sure to destroy them as they will heal the BREEDER and make it harder to kill. Here are the attacks of the BREEDER; [1] When it lights up it will shoot its bullets at you which now last longer and is way stronger. [2] The gas cloud now has a bigger area radius and lasts longer [3] If you get to close, it will slash you which usually instantly downs you [4] When the HIVES start glowing, the BREEDER will start healing, destroy them to stop it from healing. =============================================================================== XVII. Achievements/Trophies [017] =============================================================================== Nightfall Completionist [Silver]: Complete all challenges and kill the Breeder in Nightfall. How to Get: Actually really hard as someone usually messes it up, best be done with friends and with a MIC. Pea Shooter [Bronze]: Kill a Rhino with a pistol How to Get: Kill a RHINO with a Pistol Phantom Exterminator [Bronze]: Kill 5 Phantoms in one game How to Get: This will be done over time, as long you make it to the Facility, you have a good chance of getting this. Pushing Ahead [Bronze]: Gain access to the Compound area in Nightfall How to Get: After wounding the Breeder for the first time will you get this. Speed Slayer [Bronze]: Kill the Breeder in less than 5 minutes. How to Get: This is extremely easy if you use a GRENADE TURRET and are a good shot which should take you less than 3 minutes. Survived Nightfall [Bronze]: Kill the Breeder for the first time How to Get: After killing the Breeder Throttled Survival [Silver]: Kill the Breeder with a relic equipped How to Get: Kill the Breeder with a relic equipped Turnabout is Fair Play [Bronze]: Kill 50 aliens with the Venom-X How to Get: Like it says kill 50 enemies with the Venom-X Undiscovered Truths [Bronze]: Find all the Intel How to Get: Find all 13 INTELS in Nightfall Weapon Facility [Bronze]: Gain access to the Facility in Nightfall How to Get: After the last HIVE in the COMPOUND area will you get this =============================================================================== XVIII. Difficultly of Point of Contact [018] =============================================================================== This is by far way harder than POINT OF CONTACT, even for veteran players of EXTINCTION this is even hard for them, I like it that they took it up a notch but was it too much, for people just starting out in NIGHTFALL it will a disaster for them as they don’t know what they are doing and other people it will still be very challenging, I think that they had too enemies appear at once or even have a few RHINOS or a lot of HUNTERS appear in an early round just making you say "WTF really", in closing I really like the way they did this DLC and now waiting for MAYDAY from next DLC. =============================================================================== XIX.
