I'm writing guide because there are basic things people don't know yet and dismiss as "bugs" or "glitches", with an open world game, these can be present, but there are things you can do to limit them. I don't like the new HMTL format guides... I like my FAQs pure text so I can load them up with 56k. You are probably saying "Those damn conversation objectives are annoying!" Well after reading this, you'll find that they aren't that bad and they were put into the game so you can hear a part of the story from the opposite side's view. (I also use the term "express" as I do all my current FAQs from memory and DO NOT SPELLCHECK/PROOFREAD, the objective parts weren't memory, I sat with a notepad and wrote notes... it's what separates us from the monkeys) Table of Contects (We all love you Control+C, Control+F, and Control+P, right?) Unlike previous Metal Gears, you can get an S rank (top rank) by: 1. Dying 2. Getting Seen 3. Killing 4. Taking a nap There are a ton of bonuses you can get during missions (rescuing prisoners and killing Skulls are usually worth doing), but some will conflict with getting a high score... you'll see MANY objectives (the meat of the guide) are way too out of the way or put you in harms way. The most important item is time, and usually, if you just can't sneak in, you can S rank a mission simple by running to the end. (Pausing the game stops time, while cutscenes eat time. If your idroid is taking forever to pop up, pause the game to let it load) There is also a bonus called "no traces" in which you can do nothing but the objectives (no hold ups, no even tossing magazines). This will get you an instant S rank, and though I mention it in 4 missions, I ONLY require it in one (and trust me, it's easier than doing it the other way) This is also express in the sense that I didn't not document the crap levels, so if the advice seems rushed, it is. If I deem a level too easy, it's because the basic tranq pistol, and sniper rifle did the trick, and all I did was shoot people in the ass (or dick, I'm not even joking), made them fall at the same time, and sprinted to the end. In prep, you'll want the gunsmith skill to make sure your tranqs both have a second level silencer (or else you'll be supply dropping a lot) You can do combat deployment missions to get rid of some things, but the extreme version of levels usually don't apply to these laws, and you will run into enemies with blast suits on, so make sure you have Sleep Gas. That's literally it for the majority of missions, sure you have a ton of other tools, but when going for S ranks, you really can't dick around with time. Like you get points for marking, interagating, and neutralizing, but time is SO important, do these ONLY when you are waiting for something to happen, never go out of your way to get these. As remember, you can usually get an S rank via time alone. Other Prep includes a soldier with Athlete, and for the purpose of this guide, I will mention when you really should be Athleting (instead of horsing) and also that I DO NOT USE SNAKE! So if you have a strat that involves that rocket arm, cool. I don't use snake because there are other soldiers that you need to level up (takes 4 missions to get a medal) so if you fail an S rank the first time, and are close to the end of the mission, finish it up! (Unless you brought in a TON of items and the cost is high). About your other items, focus on developing Sneaking Suit, Battle Dress, D-Dog items (I USED HIS ITEMS ONCE, but they can help, consider that your margine of error), the 12.7 Semi auto sniper rifle, and the missile launcher that breaks into 8. And finally, get the wormhole FUlton with all the perks (cargo and children) as many S ranks are easier as well as many mission objectives require them. Last tip while in the field, try to get to missions via freeroam (so if you restart, you don't have to sit in the helicopter) and try to leave the hot zone on foot, this just usually saves time, safer for staying stealthly, and will keep you in the field in case you don't get an S rank, you can bypass a double chopper trip. ***This guide DOES NOT USE the Mist Parasite Armor, though I heard it breaks the game, use it if you just can't manage getting through mission unseen. Only using the Stealth Parasite (the ones from the Snipers in the Code Talker mission) reduce your rank to an A, NOT the mist/armor parasites*** [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] General Objective Tips Short and sweet, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT: 1. Getting them in a single run 2. Getting them while going for an S rank 3. Rank or Cost Once you are finished getting S ranks, you should be just about fully maxed on everything important, save for maybe an online FOB base, a nuke, and some of those silly items. Either way, beside those pesky mother base target practice and animal hunting, objectives are the only "annoying" things to get in the game. In prep you'll need to make sure you kept (and direct contracted) the one S++ combat solider you get for completing the game (Launghing Hyena?), he comes with Tough Guy as well, so he is double durable. Remember what I said about rank? YOU CAN USE STEALTH! It isn't needed, but if you find yourself getting caught in those conversation missions and just give up crawling like a snakey, pop this on AND BAM! This is also the time you should play around with items, but if you are low on resources, like precious metals, you can simply activate missions in the open world to avoid spending re-deployment costs. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 00-Awakening S Rank: I S ranked this mission on my first try, so I know it is doable. I didn't die, but I can imagine that will hurt. So the BEST advice I can give you, if you fail to do this mission on your first try, play it again, only this time SKIP ALL THE CUTSCENES! Keep in mind I was "betta than all of youz" so I turned off Reflex Mode, so I got that bonus, but I also definitely got caught at the end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed the mission without triggering Reflex Mode ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Very simple, go to options, and turn it off. There is no way you can fail this if you do this, no matter how bad you are. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed the mission without allowing the Man on Fire to attack even once after meeting up with Ocelot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like the whole mission, I did this on my first playthrough, so I really didn't even try for it... I tried to stay alive. Best bet is to simply shot the bastard when he is close and only reload when he is far away or behind something. This isn't a tip, this is literally what Ocelot tells you to do. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 01-Phantom Limbs S Rank: I managed to S rank this by going and putting down each and every enemy with the Tranq pistol and rifle. If you are getting caught at the end even with counter-clockwise sweep on the area (Better the approach via the eastern hill and make you way across and down than to slowly crawl up from the west side you most likely appear from) skip the intel file completely and book to the end. Since the Skulls come out any ways, I don't think it even matters if you are in an alert once you leave that area, but make sure you have an athlete, even with his missing body parts, he makes you move just as slow as anyone else. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinpointed Kazuhira Miller's whereabouts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This one is easy, just go inside the building in the first town. Ocelot pretty much makes you mark it and holds your through it. The building is the big one in the center with the radar dish on it and back stairs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted Kazuhira Miller ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can't miss this as the mission requires it to be done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the commander from Wakh Sind Barracks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I totally forget what this guy looks like (probably a dude with a beret), but the good news is, you don't fail it if you extract everybody. So do that, when you return to this mission (as you don't have FUltons yet) just balloon everyone in Wakh Sind, there is a 100% chance you'll find him among the sleepy's. I would double check to see who and where he is, but then you wouldn't have fun... and lets be honest, you didn't come to this FAQ to read this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed the mission without being discovered by the Skulls ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty much this can make or break your S rank run, but it's an objective, so better get it down. You'll notice that there are two skulls to the left, THEY always go down the left side, now the other two... they honestly know where you are, but won't actually "see" you unless you are close or shot at them (like I did, totally worth it) So what you need to do is stand to the right of the bridge, while ducking of course, then those two will wobble down that side, once they are low enough, sneak by on the top of the bridge, no horse required. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the rough diamonds hidden in Spugmay Keep ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the start of the mission, after all the marking tips given by Ocelt, head back into the ruins. If you map it, you'll see a crack, climb it and BAM a diamond. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted Transport Truck Driver ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the first village where you find the location of Miller, you'll see a truck towards the north exit. You'll need to extract him for this objective. If he starts to move, simply pop a silenced lethal round into the truck, it will make him come out, and if you are on the passenger side, you can literally sprint to the driver side and cqc smash him up. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 02-Diamond Dogs S Rank: There is no ranking in this level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed the FUlton extraction training ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With this objective and everyone in this mission, you not only have to do them to complete the mission, but you are told how to do it while the mission takes place. Because of this, I suggest you just scroll down to another mission, assuming you are one of those people that just read the entire FAQ or a grimy spy who just can't get enough of me, a pretty sexy hunk. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted staff, raising your R&D Team's Level ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Developed the Cardboard Box and completed Basic Training ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed restrain training ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completed strike training ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 03-A Hero's Way S Rank: This is actually a very easy mission to S rank, if you are fast enough you can even get caught! This mission can be harder (like most) if you let the guards get helmets and riot gear, so best do the deployment missions to get rid of them before hand. From the start, just run in, put down as many people you can see who are overlooking the middle of the base. The hardest part of not getting seen is screwing with the building, but the good news is, you can crawl in and shoot him in the face without getting seen. This mission is actually easier to do lethally, as you can shot him through the window... and judging by on the objectives, I think they know this. If you can't nab the S rank non lethally, try this. If you use the 12.7 sniper rifle, you shouldn't have to try. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminate the Spetsnaz Commander ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This has to be done to complete the mission, he is the soldier with the marroon (red) beret on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neutralized the Spetsnaz Commander from long distance (100m or more) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you use a rocket launcher or that 12.7 sniper rifle, you don't have to try. I'd suggest this if you are having trouble and especailly if you want to remain non lethal: Capture the base by holding up (or killing everyone else), knock out the commander, then carry him to a straight road to the east. Put him down, kick him, then run away. At 100m (the game tells you this if you have him marked) play sniper and win. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the Spetsnaz Commander ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simple, even easier if you have the wormhole FUlton as you don't even have to leave the building. If you try for this, it is easy, and you should be trying for these things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Picked a haoma in the desert between Shago Village and Spugmay Keep ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a stupid objective, but easy. There will be a large open desert with this plant sitting in the middle, and if it isn't that one, it is one of them. If your intel level is high enough, they'll be on the map. If that doesn't help, take in D-Dog, he can spot things like plants, OR wait till night and use nightvision. There are like two haoma locations in the area, and it shouldn't be hard to pick the right one. Just don't do this mission trying for the S rank. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the processed materials hidden in Shago Village ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I did this on my first try, but if you are having trouble, two tips. 1. Come back when your intel team can start spotting these items and they appear on your map. 2. Capture the base, and freely search everything. The majority of the materials are in the area of and above where the target is, and the 3 large structures with spotlights. You should be doing this in every outpost you find any ways. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 04-C2W S Rank: Grab a 12.7 sniper rifle WITH A SILENCER, put to sleep the two guards to the west that are kind of on the outside of the base, then use three fast bullets for the radar dishes. There is an even easier way, and you can find that in the Subsistance version in that section (Hey, I need to keep it fresh) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Identified the comms equipment at the Eastern Communications Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I actually missed this one my first time, all you need to do is your scope and look at all three, your radio contact will tell you when you do. This can be down from both the bottom and the top of the mountain with ease. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Destroyed the comms equipment at the Eastern Communications Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow the S rank tip to get them fast, OR you can just plant C4 on the control panal inside the final building, with all the blue do-dads and what not. And for every base, it works like this, either kill ALL the radar dishes, or the single control panal. Either way, you need to do this to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the rough diamonds hidden near the Eastern Communications Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you take the quick way to the mission, you'll see two of those radio guys, holding up one of them will reveal this location. If you want me to just tell you, I will. It is on a rock halfway on the dotted line path (when viewed on the map) that will take you to the top of the mountain towards the target. Remember, it is on a rock, so you need to do a little climb. It's also a little past the coyotes. You'll know what a coyote is when they try to hug and kiss you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Destroyed the transmitter at the Eastern Communications Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the objective for killing the control panal, the same one I mention two objectives ago. Killing this will give you that objective as well, but requires you to actually get close... or fire a rocket through the window. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 2 prisoners being held at Walo Village ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is completely out of the way, so only do this when you have the S rank. If you have D-Dog, this is very easy, they aren't even in hard to reach spots and can be both found on the western side of the road. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the materials container from the Eastern Communications Post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are two containers (if I remember correctly) in this area, they are very easy to spot. Either wait till you capture this wide open base or do it at the end of the mission if you don't care about being spotted. But remember, if you don't have the wormhole FUlton, you'll need to make sure the enemies aren't looking at it as they will shoot the balloons. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 05-Over the Fence S Rank: Do a normal sweep of the area before going into the building, FUlton the people outside the base, and I recommend taking the crack in the mountain and approach it this way. Use D-Dogs FUlton "get it" so you can get them away from far away, but TRY to leave at least one person in the middle of the actual base. This is will lure out, hopefully, some of the troops in the base. If that doesn't work, sleep gas is your friend. (You can get the S rank with being caught if you are fast enough, but this mission has an extreme version in which you can't get caught, the sleep gas is for the many riot guards in the area, so get used to doing this mission perfect this time) Wormhole is also much faster and safer, once you extract him, take the steps up and the top exit out, the same crack climbing way I suggested. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the captive engineer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The mission requires you to do this, so you can't miss it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fulton extract the engineer through the hole in the facility's basement ceiling ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Although you can wormhole this objective, you can screw yourself if he truly isn't under the hole. I suggest using the good o' balloons, this way if it doesn't work, you'll get the 0% notice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the prisoner plotting to escape from Wakh Sind Barracks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He's on the top of the wall you would normally enter the base from. If you are like me, and take the crack climbing way up the northern side, you'll see the direct path to him clear as day. If you can't find him, use the Dog, there is NO WAY he'll miss him if you simply pass through the gate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the four-wheel drive patrolling between outposts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The jeep, and right from the start, if you put everyone to sleep, it will be right at the intersection that leads to the barracks. I skipped this on my S rank run, but if you plan to get it, get it as the mission starts so the dude doesn't go joyriding. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 06-Secure the Honey Bee S Rank: This is a longer mission, so either prepare with a horse, or use an athlete. A few tips right from the start, use a tranq sniper rifle to quickly put down the outposts and the final area. And DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE GUNSHIP. If you plan on S ranking this mission as early as it pops up, you won't have any real means to do that any ways, and the amount of points the Skulls give you are insane, so you can take your time crawling when you need to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secure the Honey Bee ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a stinger. Get it? Any ways, you need to do this to complete the mission, it is located behind a box deep within the cave. If you need more help, follow the yellow square on your map. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminate the Skulls ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty sure you need to do this as well, they aren't hard with the launcher they give you, just try not to kill any of the non-threating puppet soldiers. They didn't ask for this life style. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the Honey Bee with its ammunition intact ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe you need to finish this mission without using it (or getting a supply drop to fill it back up) Lets assume the second part doesn't work, just make sure you do this mission over with a heavily upgraded primary hip and secondary. These aren't the armored skulls, so they are much easier to take down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the prisoner who cannot speak ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the the first large outpost (with the giant bridge) you'll see a guy getting grilled. Simply use a sniper rifle with a tranq as I outline in the S rank section, put a round into each enemy's butt (or dick) and they should all fall down in order. I would suggest doing this along going for the S rank, prisoners give a lot of points. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 2 snipers at Mounatin Relay Base ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I forget which ones are the snipers, but here is the fool proof way to do the objective... Locate the base on your map, and FUlton every soldier in it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the gunship ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easier to do once you return with either any type of homing rocket launcher or if you want to remain undetected 100%, you a silenced 12.7 sniper rifle. If you are worried you will get spotted, do this between outposts so no real troops will come at you. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 07-Red Brass S Rank: A lot of people don't understand the title of this mission... USSR/CCCP = Red Army Brass = Top of the military chain. Get it? Red Leaders? Any ways, this mission isn't hard to S rank, as long as you follow the tranq strat I outlined in the S rank tips. They all meet up in the starting village, and you'll want to start tranqing and extracting everyone once everyone is sleeping in the middile, and you should begin doing this once the jeep arrives. If you fail to extract them all in this town, you will be wasting A LOT of time following them, so best restart if you can't. Like most commanders, they all have on a marroon (red) beret. So you got that? Stay on your belly and shot them all in the butt (or dick). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the commander of the company stationed at Wialo Village ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You need to do this to complete the mission. I forget if the "starting" village is called Wialo or not, but it's the one where you need to get the intel file to locate Miller in the very first free roam mission. If you are quick enough, ALL 3 come to this village and you do not need to worry about moving away from it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the commander of the platoon stationed at Shago Village ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the commander of the platoon stationed at Waku Sind Barracks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ditto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the commander and the soldiers riding in his vehicle (4 toatl) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is why I recommended FUltoning everyone you see in this village, not only does it make the mission progressively easier, but you won't have to worry about missing this objective. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the 3 commanders ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You should be doing this for the S rank any ways, so this isn't really a problem. I wouldn't worry about doing this with the "listen to the conversation" objective, because you'll want to do this with the above objective... and again, if you naturally FUlton everyone, this isn't even something you need to go out of your way for. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen to the end of the 3 commanders' conversation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two commanders enter in a jeep, while the one who is in the village is a little house to the east of the road. It may take a while to find this location, but remember, he will be the only guy inside a house, so if you take your dog, just look for the triangles. Now, there will be a lot of guards around this house, if you tranq one, stuff him in a dumpster. Either way, once you make it into that room adjacent from him, hide in a box till they are done talking. If you have a sleep gas grenade, this is a great time to use it once you see the mission objective is complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 2 prisoners being held at the Ghwandai Town ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I remember correctly, this is the area where you find Miller. Do not attempt this and the S rank at the same time, and if you want to not waste time, do this only after you dealt with 2 commanders. Carry the 3rd commander with you (or in a jeep) then hold him up somewhere distant... or stuff him in a dumpster. (I only say this because some missions will cut off areas of the map once you complete the important objectives, I'm not sure if this is one of those missions, but to be safe, assume it is) [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 08-Occupation Forces S Rank: You can do this the old fashion way (like I did) by tranqing your way to the intel file and having the road blocked, then extracting all the tanks and such... OR you can scroll down to the Subsistance version of this mission to find the complete broken way to S rank this mission. By broken, you'll get mad you even tried it the old fashioned way. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the deployment plans ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the intel file located in the middle of the mountain side base. Just remember two things: 1. You don't need to actually do this. 2. Once you read it, the tanks will be on the move and you should either put down a horse, or block the road somehow (C4, the enemy tank, a body, etc). The actual intel isn't hard to find, and if you need help, hold up a guard and make him SPIT IT OUT! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the colonel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The colonel is in the middle of the convoy, and required to end the mission. If you do not care about rank, and don't want to do any fancy planning, just use a rocket launcher on a horse. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated all Tanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Same as above, if you want a fool proof way to do this, along with the S rank, please scroll down to the Subsistence version of this mission... Kept you scrolling, huh? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the colonel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm 100% sure you can just extract the the entire truck and he comes along as a bonus. If you just want this and the tanks are dead, fire at the truck with a non explosive weapon, the driver will get knocked out and the commander will just sit there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated the colonel and all tanks before they reach Smasei Fort ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I thought you had to do this any ways, but it isn't hard... if you establish a choke point (using the Tank you can steal from the northern eastern guard post, or other things, like a trial of C4... and when I say trial, I mean a TON (all 12) of them blinking up and down the road). Again, if you want a surefire and extrememly easy way to do this, simply scroll down to the Subsistence Version of this mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the prisoner being held at Sakhua Ee Village ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you sneak in from the north eastern side (up the giant hill) the prisoner is in roughly the second building in the corner. This is even simpler if you use a Dog, or Wolf, whatever it is. Alls I know is you can pet him and he's a good boy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted all tanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are going for the S rank, this is almost a requirement, and as I said before, if you want an easy to to make sure you can do this, scroll down to the Subsistence version of this mission. Yes, there is an easier way to than blocking the road with the tank, a MUCH eaiser... so easy it's almost sinister. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 09-Backup, Back Down S Rank: This is my FAVORITE MISSION in the game, it takes some hardcore realtime strategy... or reading this triple BBB FAQ. Now this S rank tip will work for BOTH this and the extreme version, however if you scroll down the list to the extreme mission version of this level, I have a broken strategy listed. For the purpose of all of these ranks and objectives, you are going to start the mission at the lower left landing zone, next to the ruined palace. This is because no matter what you want to do in this mission, you'll need to take out at least one target, and one just sits there (next to a decoy, so don't worry about collateral damage). Also, before starting to even read this mission MAKE SURE YOU HAVE: 1. A horse. 2. The final upgrade of the missile launcher (the one that spreads into 6 missiles, the same kind found in the truck in this very mission) 3. C4 (Trust me on this one) Now I'll break this into what to do, and where to be. 1st Target: Start at the palace, get on horse, attack the Armored Car (APC) ***rescue the female prisoner in the derest on the way to the 2nd target for some extra points*** 2nd Target: You should be able to hit the bridge as he travels by it, assuming you don't take your time. In fact, if you pause the game to look at the map, instantly pause the game so you can view the map while the game is froze. 3rd Target: This one will come behind you, and you'll most likely need to wait a bit as it will spawn close to a guard post, just hide behind a rock. ***Before taking out the 4th target, lay on your belly and attack the jeep carrying the prisoner with a silenced lethal weapon, then FUlton everything, the prisoner, the jeep, and the two smucks sleeping on the ground.*** 4th Target: This one will be on the same road as the Jeep, you should of taken the Jeep next to the very tiny bridge right before the large square outpost (the one that Malak of the Angle mission ends up at). To get him good, I like to stay in the mountains. ***For the purpose of the S rank, YOU ARE GOING TO SKIP THIS NEXT TARGET!!!!! When going for the all kill objective, you don't need to worry about getting caught, but going for this guy can get you caught.*** 5th Target: Skip. ***As you wait for the 5th target to run away, lay on your belly in the same area you nabbed the jeep, this is for points*** 6th/7th Target: Once you get the jeep, look at your map for the road that leads to that outpost (the same one with Malak of Angle mission I mentioned above). Plant ALL your C4 on the road and hide off to the side, planting first ahead and working backwards. This should be enough to blow them up, and if it isn't, at least one will die, the other can SHOULD be missiled ONLY when it starts moving again. The purpose of skipping the 5th target is two fold: 1. To avoid getting seen, as everything else you can completely avoid outposts. 2. To avoid the second part of the mission. YOU DO NOT WANT a gunship blowing you up, as this mission HAS NO CHECKPOINTS. This works for both difficulties, and if you want an even easier way, simply scroll down the the extreme section. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated an armored vehicle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you just want the mission over so you can progress the game then come back later, you'll only need to kill one (then you can literally smoke a phantom cigar and drain the time that way). Start as I mention in the S rank tip next to the palace, there is a vehicle that is just sitting there. Pop a rocket into it. Or many, either way if you just want the mission over with, who cares if you get caught? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated multiple fighting vehicles or gunships ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This will come naturally when going for ALL of them, so read on below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliminated all armored vehichle without receiving a resupply or fire support ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll need to kill ALL 7 of the vehicles to get this, as the objective states, so follow the S rank strat to a T (horse, multi-missile launcher, C4) only instead of letting the 5th target leaving, follow it. Now if you time this perfect (even doing the prisoner jeep) you should catch up with the 5th target around the time the truck carrying the weapon appears. You can skip the truck, just if it's on the same road, you might hit it by accident, and take the cargo ONLY if you have no ammo with your launcher as it's only a 4 star version. You'll still want to use C4 for the double tank take out, but you'll need to hurry a bit faster. By the way, I recommed taking out the jeep (even if you don't rescue, blow it up or steal it) as ONLY two "sets" of vehicles can be on at the same time, and letting it run can screw with your time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Secured the weapon the transport truck was carrying ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simple, if you follow my S rank strat, this will literally be in the same place as the jeep and with the same method. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted an armored vehicle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is easy if you use the "cheap and broken" S rank method I'll tell you about in the extreme version, but for help, just block a road. Either use Tank electro mines, a horse, or simply shot a vehicle to make it stop. If you are using stealth, you can steal the very first one assuming you have on athlete when going for the next objectives... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 4 soldiers searching for the escaped prisoner ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read the next objective, there is no reason NOT to go for this while doing that one, as there is no way you can get all the prisoners and kill all the vehicles in one go, so when you do your prisoner run, do this too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 6 prisoners ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 things that will make this easier: 1. Stealth 2. A merc with athelte 3. D-Dog (trust me, he helps for the last guy) Stealth isn't a must, but if you want to put it to good use in a very hectic mission, do it... the way I see it, this shouldn't even be an objective in a VS Vehicle mission. 1st Prisoner: Start at that same desert landing zone next to the palace. You'll want to take out the stationary armored car, not only to make the jeep spawn faster, but to make sure you kill at least one so you can actually finish the mission. The prisoner is in one of the green houses like he is in many missions, with D-Dog, you won't have to guess which one. 2nd Prisoner: It's the chick in the desert about where you start, though you can see her from a distance (look for the thing that looks like a walking tree), using D-Dog will elminate all effort. 3rd Prisoner: This is the guy that is being chased by four guards, outlined in the previous objective. Look for the dotted line path that somewhat leads to the barracks from "Over the Fence" Mission. You will run into the guards from behind before you find this guy, so make sure you FUlton all 5 of them. 4th Prisoner: Literally in the same place where you rescue the engineer from that "Over the Fence" mission. If you have athlete and stealth, this should happen very fast. 5th Prisoner: This is the guy in the jeep, once you nab the 4th guy, focus ALL your attention to him. Just remember the jeep takes a dotted line path, so make sure you have a lethal weapon to make them stop. 6th Prisoner: He is in the river, towards the south. He is extremely hard to spot without the dog, so make sure you have him. This is why when doing this mission, I prefer an athlete and dog over a horse. Use a phantom cigar once you are done, and finish the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 3 tanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DO NOT CONFUSED WITH ARMORED PERSONAL CARRIERS (APCs) AND TANKS!!!! The tanks (and a gunship) ONLY appear once you kill ALL 7 previous targets, but don't worry, there isn't a time limit on them... If you don't want to use stealth, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ON THE FULLY LEVELED battle dress, AS THIS ENTIRE MISSION HAS NO CHECKPOINTS! Since they will be hunting you, and again, if you don't want to use stealth, you can take your sweet time using C4 (ahead of them to scare them to a halt), horse block cades, and of course, Tank EMP mines. ***WARNING*** This game ONLY allows 4 vehicles on the map at the same time, SO IF YOU LEFT THE TRANSPORT TRUCK OR THE JEEP ON THE BATTLEFEILD WITH NO DRIVER, ONLY TWO TANKS WILL SPAWN!!!!!!!!!! Trust me on this, you DO NOT WANT to get to this part, like I did, only to have to restart. There is no reason you need to take out the gunship, unless he asks for it. [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] 10-Angel with Broken Wings S Rank: There are two ways to S rank this mission: My way and the untested easy way. My way: Go to the left of the palace, rescue both prisoner inside of it, cause a distraction (Plant C4 at the start of the left side) then rescue the 3rd guy, which requires a lock pick. Once you do that, high tail to the guard post the prisoner Malak is taken to, BUT DO NOT ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT! Instead, go around back up the mountain, and start shooting EVERYONE in the butt (or dick) and capture the outpost. CAPTURE it. And not just a regular capture, hold up the useless soldiers (if they are sleepying, press the CQC button over them, then when they wake up, hold them up, and make them spit it out and tell you where there friends are for more points). Once you capture, FUlton the armored car (if it goes there, sometimes it won't) then FUlton the other two prisoners. The 6 prisoners you rescue will give you 30,000 points alone, the rest should be granted by not getting seen, killing, etc. Also if you capture the base, you can call the chopper right there! Cheese Way: Ignore the 3 prisoners in the starting area like a scumbag, and with an athlete, run ahead, both the jeep and the APC will stop due to some very well placed sheep (I like of Kojima shows the softer side of the motherland by them not shooting at them, rather above them) Once they stop, FUlton everything, and rescue the dude. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the Mujahideen prisoner called Malak ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read above, it's literally the only way to beat the mission, but he's a pussy like most mission objectives in which you need to put his ass in Pequad your self. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted the escort vehicle (armored vehicle) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you do this mission the cheese way, you'll no doubt be able to capture it, if you can't get it while it stops, it will sometimes just sit there are the base Malak ends up at. Basically if you are finished with your S rank, it shouldn't even be an issue to get this bad boy right from the start. They stop enough times... it's like its begging to be tied to a balloon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 3 prisoners being held at Lamar Khaate Palace ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you follow the expert way to S rank this mission, you should do this any ways, but I most warn you, they kill them off pretty fast, so fast that you can't even put the outside outpost to la la land before this happens. Remember, when you rescue the 1st guy, the guard patrolling above with hear it, so get ready with belly laying tranq administering. Also, the wormhole makes this SO MUCH easier... SOOO MUCH eaiser. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extracted 2 prisoners being held at Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you follow the expert way to S rank this mission (DEJa-Vu?), you should have all ready have done this. Just make sure if you capture the final outpost, there is no reason not to save them once you do. They are in a locked door in the 1st quadrant of that outpost. If you don't understand math and graph paper lingo in the 21st century, you are too young for this game... and take in D-Dog. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listened to the last conversation between the transport truck driver and Malak ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are a few, but the only one that counts is the final one, inside the actual base in a room... without the use of stealth, it's annoying to try to get to him, but it's possible as the two escorts never turn around. Or you can just use stealth. Using stealth makes this entirely too easy... but without it, no FAQ can help you with good ol fashion sneaking. Ok ok, to S rank the mission, just don't die. If you take D-Dog, you don't even have to try to find her. extreme version of the fight... in which I say more about it... so read
that any ways, k?

12-Hellbound

S Rank: This is a very long mission, but it actually isn't that hard if you
tranq and make guards "spit it out" along the way. Athlete can help with the
time, but I didn't use her (LOL, I have a chick with Athlete, and no, you can't
have her)

Getting the airport hanger base is easy, so you are on your own to follow a
simple straight line, just make sure you do a supply drop at the enterance of
it (trust me, if you are tranqing folks along the way, you'll need the 
extra silencers and ammo)

Once you are there, it is SUPER IMPORTANT that you FUlton EVERYONE on the
western side of the base, as you'll be coming back out and you don't want to
screw around behind enemy lines. So I made it a point to also do the "extract
the 3 walker gear" objectives as well. If you get them, nd the people around
them (including the sniper on the roof of the broken stone hanger) you'll be
good.

For getting the walker gears, make it a point to sneak beneath them to the
right, I know this is the first mission with them, but there weak point is
the drivers ass. Literally, not making this up.

Once Sa a lan tra pus is active, run a bit, plant C4, then run away, blow it
off once you are behind the rock next to the landing zone (LZ if you didn't
figure this out) so he turns around. This part alone can make or break your
S rank.

13-Pitch Dark

S Rank: Try to do this mission without getting caught, even though you can
do it while getting caught, the reason is that although the time bonus in
this mission is SUPER leanit, there is an extreme version of this mission in
which you cannot get caught.

So before even starting, this is going to be one of those "shot everyone in
the butt (or dick) and FUlton them" style missions. Good news, like I said
above, you really can take your time, and it's actually a VERY easy long
mission.

Start off putting to sleep the guard and the guard in the tower, then move
onto the next village. I wouldn't worry about the child soldiers, but hell,
I did when I did my 190,000+ S rank, so you can afford to. If you have
sleep gas and they are sleeping, you can get them all if you shoot a tranq
into the guard to the right... if they are awake, shoot them in the butts
before the other guards (and it helps if you don't use the bolt action
sniper rifle as there are 3 other guards and they will run away, and 
unlike regular guards, they keep running even when their ranks start
hitting the floor)

Ok, so do that part however you like, and watch out of the guards on the
hill (if you brought the Dog, you'll see them) This is also easy, once you
are past all that, jump in the jeep. Don't get comfy as their is an outpost
close... so tranq the four guards. Once you do, put a supply drop somewhere
in the burnt down village.

Once in the village, snipe the vulture while you wait for the supplies, it's
free points (1/26th of your S rank to be exact). You'll want the supplies as
the next part, the oil field, you'll want to capture the base! And again, not
just a regular capture, you'll want to FUlton every guard there!

Once they are all down, plant the C4, but don't blow it off. Shut off the
power to whatever the hell it shuts off, still don't blow it off!

Get to the gated area which holds the red fuel containers... NOW BLOW IT
OFF! You'll see a movie, hop on one of those containers, FUlton it, then
hold in triangle to ride it up! Mission over, this avoids even having
to dodge the walker gears!

you can jump through an open window to get to this.

Once you get the children FUlton, this is easy to do.

They are either all sleeping in a hut (sleep gas) or right before the hill
before the jeep.

The key to getting to them is to move quick, as if you take too long, THEY
will run off. Once they start running, they are tough to get, as like I said
above, they won't stop once their buddies drop and go to sleep.

Go to the west once you blow the C4 (while you are actually outside) so you

at least 3 troops with them, so crawl on the mountain the best you can to
get behind them, then shoot them all in the butt.

S Rank: This is the reason you came to this FAQ, isn't it? Don't lie, it's ok,
this mission is VERY easy to do the WRONG way, and can be completely BS 
the right way... it took me an entire afternoon to do this...

For the S rank, you can totally cheese the mission, just take the dog, and go
north, you'll see the prisoner being escorted, you can just FUlton him and
leave. If you don't know where he spawns, on another run, just grab the intel
file. No need to follow the translator.

HIM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT... AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Want to waste, literally 15 minutes, go ahead, spite me. Or listen... like
this objective is all about!

1st Prisoner: The first part is right at the beginning, just run foward
and scope out everyone, you'll get many notices and make sure you keep
looking at them.

DO NOT RESCUE ANYONE OR THING ABOUT BEING A HERO YET... I know you are
reading this FAQ, and I'm a legendary hero myself, but try to separate
yourself from that...

2nd Prisoner: He's to the north west of the 1st, kind of next to a shanty. If
you need help locating him, just get past the road (opposite from where you
start) and crawl, if you have the dog, you'll crawl and "sense" him before the
translator gets there.

Across this road, pop out your intel scope (even if you are using stealth,
you'll want to turn it off and just listen) and listen till the translator
and the other big wig goes off.

3rd Prisoner: This is the double pow wow, for this, you'll want to take the
LONG way through the swamp, and avoid the screwing with any guards. They
are at the part of the camp (south east) with the cages. Station yourself
on a rock overseeing them both. Listen and wait.

***If you want to rescue them, wait till the people you are following are 
at least in the house (with the intel file) so they don't get spooked.
I'm not going to lie, you'll have to tranq A LOT OF GUARDS if you want
this to work, and I recommend doing this on a different run of this
mission.***

4th Prisoner: To get this to wrong, YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE GUY WITH THE
GREEN BERET THE ENTIRE TIME, do not assume you can either follow the
Viscount or just wait at the house he arrives at... no, FOLLOW THE
GUY WITH THE GREEN BERET.

FOLLOW THE GUY WITH THE GREEN BERET!

How many times do I have to say it? I'll say it again: FOLLOW THE GUY
WITH THE GREEN BERET!

Crawl, and follow him to the house. Once you are there, you can either duck
outside the window or hide on the roof. Either way, once the objective
clears, take them out, don't even worry about an alert.

If you don't tail the green beret/translator, they will just stand there in
the house, forcing you to restart the mission!

15-Footprints of Phantoms

S Rank: This is one of those missions that is very easy, but play it in
perfect stealth... why? There is an extreme version of this level in which you
need to. So if you can do it now, the ONLY difference will be the 2-3 guys
that are bitches and need riot armor. 

Ok, so do this, start the mission (and you will be doing the good ol shot em
in the butt [or dick] method) and head to where the truck is, put the two
guys asleep and FUlton them all and the truck.

Next make your way up the RIGHT side of the mountain. Your goal here is to
extract two of the walker gears, once you see them lined up, start tranqing
the living F out of all the guards, FUlton them and the gears.

For the next two, plant some C4 where you are after the first two gears,
and circle around the back of the mountain, pick the objective flower
while you are at it, points are points, no matter how stupid the objective.

Now, either tranq all the guards and steal the walkers, or blow off the C4.
The C4 is a fail safe, to get them to look over there.

Either way, sleep gas grenades are very helpful in this mission because
guards like to stand together, so use it. And again, there is an extreme
version of this mission in which sleep gas works wonders on the riot
guards. Once you extract all 4, RUN out of the hot zone, if you use the
C4 there is a good chance they will see Pequad.

Take the dog with you, they aren't hard to find without him, but he'll make
this objective super easy. They are both in tents a little down mountain
from the walker gears.

16-Traitors' Caraven

S Rank: You ready for a REAL mission? I f***ing AM!

Ok the S rank is actually VERY easy to get in this mission (I got caught at
least once and died 3 times my FIRST playthrough, and still got it!)

But we aren't looking for skin of your teeth garbage, this is a pro-express
guide, not a friggen scrub guide!

Ok, skip going for the intel, and head to the airport, go in the main enterance
as if you were playing the "war econ" mission. You'll need to crawl a bit, 
there are snipers still. Weasel yourself into the main building... there 
should be too many guards on the way there.

Once you are in there, toss a sleep gas grenade to the solo guard overlooking
the armored cars and the transport truck.

Once he is out of the way, FUlton the armored truck... then start tranqing
guards close to transport truck... then FUlton the other armored truck.

Mosey your way too the transport truck, and the Skulls will pop out!

You'll want to take them out, obviously, I heard D-Walker's gatling
gun works well, but you can manage with a 12.7 sniper rifle or
any heavy machine gun (or shotgun, assuming you can counter them, more
on how to deal with them in the extreme version of the airport mission)

Once they are dead, you are pretty much getting an S rank as the bonus they
give you are is easily MORE than 33% of the requirement!

You can actually miss this, simple use your scope before you trigger the
Skull fight. If you follow my S rank strat, after you put the guard outside

Again, like the above objective, the hardest part about these two are 
simply remembering that you need to do them.

If you can manage to ID the APC's, you can do this. Just like a wrench, if

This should be done automatically if you play the mission blindly. If you
follow the yellow square at the start... but if you do so, it is VERY hard

Oh boy, this one is literally put in place so you can fight the Skulls in
a different place than that friggen airport.

Ok so look at my S rank strat, the key differences are, instead of going
through the main building, you'll want to climb the ladder to get on the
tiny roof, then jump over the barb wire fence to the other tiny roof (this
in next to the airport hanger that has a plane and 100X2 processed fuel
and bio materials)

Once you are on this, STAY BACK and your belly, the tanks that will come
CAN AND WILL SEE you if you are close to the edge. Also if a soldier DOES
see you, just chill back, they can't actually climb up, so don't worry

1st Convo: Is here, just look at the truck and you'll hear him talk. Once
you see him get in the truck, jump back over the barb wire, and exit
the airport through the side locked door. 

2nd Convo: The outpost between the airport and Kiziba camp is the next
one (if you are having trouble, just see where the trucks stop and
reload a checkpoint). Once you find out the camp, and it isn't that 
hard, it's literally the next one on the map, just hide in the grass
and use your scope to listen in.

3rd Convo: Kiziba camp, he will get out in the middle of the camp.
Listen from a distance (stay still, there are many enemies). Once it
is over, I highly suggest either shooting someone close to the truck,
or simply sprinting towards it to activate the Skull fight.

Naturally do this ONLY after you unlock the objective.

When you are running through the land and you see those wonderful blue 
jeeps for of balloonable people, those are the ZRS folks. The best time to
get them without interfering with the mission is if you do the above
objective.

Once you finish the fight with the Skulls, if you go to the outskits of the
camp, you should see at least 3 knocked out soldiers, extract them.

17-Rescue the Intel Agents

S Rank: I'm not even going to lie, I HATE THIS MISSION. It reflects... I did
all the objectives my first time through, because I extracted everyone, so
do that do!

For the actual S rank, you'll not only be doing the "shoot them in the butt"
tech I outlined in the S rank tips way above, but bring some sleep gas as
there are Riot Gear guards...

But for the S rank, you shouldn't need them (it's for the other objectives)

So here is what you do, choose the landing spot they choose for you, closest
to the forest area, and if you have your dog, you can find the prisoner
fast. Extract him SO SUPER FAST, as if you don't, the search team will close
in. As you make your way to him, tranq what ever is in the way, but DO NOT
DO THE BUTT TRANQS! Shot them in the head, you need to get him asap.

Once you get him, the final guy is located in a trench next to the cages
where you had to listen to the double interrogation in the Lingue Franca
mission, this is where you want to do the butt tranq thing, but only to
the people you think will see you steal him (basically the guards on the
tower and the hill).

That's it, simple. I hate this mission.In fact, I hate it so much, I'm not 
even going to replay it or try to make up a better strategy than "Use stealth
and extact everyone."

18-Blood Runs Deep

S Rank: This mission gives you A LOT OF time, and I did it on my first run
without even know what the hell I was doing.

(Basically there is an end part where I say clear the mine and the section
after it, I didn't do this and still nailed the S rank.)

Begin the mission, in the first guard post, you'll want to play this slow and
stealthy, sneak up on watch towers and remain safely undetected.

Ingore all armored cars, and focus on putting guys to sleep. There is a black
dude with a black beret in this village you need to nab. Try your best to 
focus on him, once you FUlton him, LEAVE the area at the opposite exit.

By the time you reach the mine, any alert should vanish. Now once in the 
mine, take out your tranq sniper and go to town, down EVERYTHING in sight
then move to the outskits. There is an escort mission brewing, and if you
clear the area ahead, it will be easier. You don't even need to kill the
gunship!

So grab the children and book it. The reason it isn't important to clear
the area ahead of you like I suggest is because they move slow as balls
and stop way too much (trust me, you'll see this if you actually keep it,
where are if you try to sneak up on enemies, they get way ahead of you)

Either way, you get a ton of points for just completing the mission, and
if the S rank is missed if you didn't get seen... I really don't know 
what to tell you. Seriously, if you are unseen and don't kill, there is
no way you can miss this S rank... I took 90 minutes+ and still got a
68,000 time bonus.

Do this on a playthrough once you get the S rank, either use missiles or that
fancy 12.7 sniper rifle. Be warned, it's route is VERY big and he likes to
FLY FAST.

These guys are in wooded areas past the numbered guard posts on the map. You
can hold up people in these areas and they will tell you where they are, or
you can just go past both of them with your dog... and your intel team will
tell you they spot a threat.

The SW sniper area has two, and it's easily found next to the Yellow digitalis
plant. The NE area holds 3 snipers, and has a at least one house in the area.

Simple get behind them, or tranq them on your first shot, then FUlton them.

S Rank: If you follow the target from the start, don't get caught, then
tranq everyone at the meeting (while extracting the important ones) you'll
get an S rank. It's very easy. You can do all the dirty sniping from a cliff,
so there is no threat of being caught.

followed him so long that you are just so antsy and want to shot something,

20-Voices

S Rank: Make sure you don't get caught and don't die. To ensure both of these,
make a B line for the gap in the mountains (and as you do, supply drop a
battle dress in the final area as you should use the sneaking suit prior)

Take your normal tranq items, but for your primary, I suggest taking the
Kuragagagagagagagag whatever it's called auto shotgun (20 rounds). This not
only is good to hit the floating boy, but if you don't want to go that route,
it is also good to peg the Man on Fire into the pool of water.

The sneaking aspect of this mission is very easy, you'll only have to put down
like ten guards, which shouldn't give you any trouble.

Successfully hit the floating boy with an attack

Forget the internet, they will suggest dropping a tank on him, don't do this,
this is stupid.

You can do this with any automatic gun, but it is easiest with that auto 
shotgun I mentioned above.

Basically either bait the Fire guy to blow out a water tower while close, or
simply shot the explosive barrel. THEN BACK UP, you'll see the floating boy
appear, just shoot him.

Chances are you won't hit him, but you can move to the next water tower and
he should get hit VERY soon (his "dodges" do not refresh). You really can't
miss too much, but the good news, with a shotgun, you don't even have to be
on point.

You basically need to do this to complete the mission, either do what I 
outlined above, or lure him close to the pool of water and shotgun him in.

If you use the auto shotgun, he won't get time to bounce all the bullets

If you want to know where this file is, you can easily find out when you
follow the truck driver. Though you really don't need to tail him the
entire way, if you are in his truck from the start, you'll hear him talk
to a guy, and this guy will literally tell me the file is in a tent...

Just go to that tent, just make sure you don't knock over anything, there
are a lot of things you can trip over which will get you caught.

Once you see the broken bridge area, one of the dogs will most likely want to
give you a nice hug. If you are still having trouble finding one, use your

If you follow the truck driver to the final tent right before the tree you
need to crawl under to reach the tunnel, you are fine, this is where it 
happens. Unlike most of the conversation objectives, you only need to 
listen to this.

I do suggest going for this on a separate play through, and just get in his
truck so you never lose sight of him. (The truck can be found in the the
outpost right before the heavily guarded area with a lot of fences.)

When you are crawling behind him in the river, just make sure you look out
for the dogs on the right, they like to hug you.

21-The War Economy

S Rank: There are easier way to do this mission, but since this works for the
extreme version (which I actually completed first with an S rank) you better
get used to this strat. (I did not use an athlete)

Ok, like always start the mission in free roam so you take less time to
actually start the mission.

Now avoid the front gate and head to the left. Run along the wall will avoid
cameras and snipers (remember, in extreme, there will always be cameras and
the snipers can see MUCH farther.) Along the first wall that runs north and
south, plant a C4 close to where an enemy is.

Keep running along and blow off (X) the C4 about half way to the end of the
next wall.

This is important for two reasons, the first is it will ruse the enemy farther
along to move out of the main building, and second, anything like this 
completely makes the helicopter not come.

Ok so keep running around the perimeter. At one point snipe the sniper on the
very tall of the airport terminal, and throw a sleep gas grenade over the
wall (do like 3 to be safe) to hit the walker gear. As this happens, two
guards will pop out of the door, tranq them both, and go fast, so shot one
in the leg, then the other, then shot them both again.

Once they are down, make your way to the back of the airport terminal.

There should be just one more guy here, and the target on the second
floor. You can actually tranq him from the outside, and if you did
exacatly what I said, the coast should be clear.

Head to where the sleeping Walker Gear is, and FUlton yourself out of the
mission area with one of those precious metal containers (if you don't
have the wormhole, just C4 a fence and leave like that).

***You can probably finish this mission even faster with an S rank if
you just use a lethel sniper rifle, but that is too easy***

(You can make this balls easy with stealth, but I'm going to assume you
aren't using it for whatever reason)

1st Convo: They talk in the airport 2nd floor, and you'll actually have to 
move fast for this to happen. You can either crawl behind them (which is 
tricky as there is a door) or use your intel scope from the ground, the
same place I outline where to snipe the CFA guy in the S rank section.

2nd Convo: They talk next to a truck in the airport hanger, once they are
done talking in the 1st area, try your hardest to make it to the back of
that truck. If you can make it there, you'll pretty much have the 2nd and
3rd convo in the bag.

3rd Convo: Just stay in the back of the truck.

4th Convo: This is done back at the same place the 1st convo was at. You
can listen, again, either inside the building, or across the lot.

Doing this without stealth, the hard part will be screwing with fence jumping
to get to the back of the truck, least they walk VERY slow. Remember to take
them out as soon as you get the objective as the heli leaves fast.

Secured the blueprint the gunship was carrying

You can either do this during the mission with some type of 12.7 silenced
sniper rifle, or if you wait till after the last conversation, the heli will
be hovering in place on the airport terminal.

It's the safest place to do it (assuming you take out all the snipers) as
the blueprint will be right there (use C4).

If you choose to after him while he is flying, MAKE SURE YOU PUT A MARKER
on it, and when it falls, remember how far it was when it exploded... then
put a marker that far away. Trust me, it is very hard to search the desert
for a breifcase.

These refer to the 3 precious metals that you'll need a wormhole FUlton to
move. I suggest riding the 3rd one out when going for the S rank to not only

S Rank: If you don't get an S rank your first time through, don't worry, 
return to this mission once you get the children FUlton, then simply use
any tranq weapon and easily complete every mission objective.

The mission is wide open, so there is hardly any trail and error once you
take the dog along with you.

He has to be taken by helicopter, even more of a reason to make sure you
have all the children either sleeping or captured.

There is a very easy way to do this, read how, two objectives down.

It's a chick just about in the middle of the map. With your dog, she isn't
hard to find, but there are a lot of children in pairs, around her.

Once you put all the children to sleep (or captured) make your way, quietly,
up the ship. Climb up the back and do not use the ramp right in Eli's line
of sight.

Basically you'll want to be on a side door, once you are there, toss a 
magazine out the opposite door to make him get up. Once he does, slowly 
follow him, and when he stops, slam him on the ground.

This not only gives you the objective, but it completely bypasses the 
mini boss fight.

When you start the mission, they are in one of the tents right there are
the beginning.

If they don't actually appear, hold up and make a kid "spit it out" and the
very first one should give up the location. It is on a table in a tent, not
hard to find at all.

Very simple once you get the children FUlton, infact, it will actually make
the mission much easier. Do this for the objective, but it also is worth a lot
of heroism.

24-Close Contact

S Rank: This mission is very simple as you can just regularly FUlton both
targets. Just take a tranq sniper rifle that isn't bolt action for an extremely
easy time. 

Just remember to stay on your belly when all the jeeps start coming, and if
you have trouble with them, sleep gas is your friend.

The objectives in this mission are crazy, not because they are hard, but they
take you to places outside the "hot zone"

When going for these objectives, just capture the outpost (not just ZZZ, but
FUlton or kill everyone) and leave a prisoner somewhere... remember, the
guy will wander.

When you are going for the Peach, the eagles are on rocks (there are about
3 off them) outside this station. They are easy to spot even without any
sort of help (dog, NVG, etc).

The good news is they aren't flying if you stay far away enough not to
spook them.

25-Aim Ture, Ye Vengeful

S Rank: Just like the other child mission, the difficulty of this one becomes
SUPER EASY once you unlock the children FUlton, so don't bother doing this
until you get it.

And just like the other child mission, take any tranq, stay low, and do all
of the objectives. Unless you forget to pause the game and take a dump, you
can't miss the S rank.

When going for the objectives, simple tranq the "Important" kids, then kick
them to wake them up, then hold them up so they stay on the ground. Once you
do that, FUlton the rest of the children and complete all the objectives.

Again, just like the White Mamba mission, it is actually easier to complete
the mission doing it this way.

The children usually come in pairs, so rely on dick shots with the tranq. They
usually come in as reinforcements from a distance, so if you are quick to 
FUlton them as they come into the area, you won't have to worry about them
hearing the FUlton.

This, if I remember correctly is in the corner of the map, and is quite out
of the way. I would suggest getting this only once everyone is FUltoned (or
held up) along with the two targets being held up.

You can get this location by making them spit it out, or just look at your
map for the elevated circluar area on the map, just pick all the plants 
and you should get this no problem.

26-Hunting Down

S Rank: This is an extremely easy mission to S rank, I did it the first time,
and captured the outpost they aren't suppose to reach, so I missed out on 
time and bonus points... which means as long as you don't get caught, you
can do this.

In fact, if you have an Athlete you can even do EVERY objective while going
for the S rank. If you don't have an Athlete, you can still do, easily, all
but the prisoner rescue in one run.

Basically make your way to the intel file to see their path. Their path isn't
on a road. Once you see the path you'll want to book it to just before 
Kiziba camp. Once you are there couch walk in the the opposite direction.

Way before you actually reach them is the jackel you can extract, but
remember, this escort party is on foot (so they are slow) but they have
snipers in the ranks. Bad news is they will see you if you sprint towards
them, the good news is they have tunnel vision and rarely see their 
buddies fall down.

If you somehow fail the S rank, restart the mission and just remember where
the escort area is, and if you take your dog, you should easily be able to
get a HUGE time bonus.

This file is at the abandoned village at the top (close to where the second
set of walker gears are in a tent in the Footprints of Phantoms mission).

Even though you don't need it to complete the mission, I suggest getting it
as the escort unit's path isn't on a road.

You need to do this to complete the mission, and I suggest extracting them.

They are all in the wide open, and there is 6 without helmets, so you can
literally take them out with a single clip of your bolt action sniper

If you aren't slow, once you get the intel file, head to Kiziba camp and
you will no doubt be able to cut them off.

horse, to deploy your dog once you reach this area as he will help A LOT
in finding your targets.

run. Using him, they are easy as hell to find in tents.

27-Root Cause

S Rank: This is a fun mission, you can S rank this in two ways:

Let him crash, if you do, MAKE SURE YOU TRANQ EVERYONE HERE AS THEY WILL BE
ALERTED TO THE CHOPPER!

Or

Focus on doing all the objectives at once, not only are the bonus points
helpful, but doing so will end the mission faster than most side ops!

You need to do this to complete the mission, for ease, try to this with the
large truck he tries to jack.

to where he is, only sniping the people you *think* can see you (at least

28-Code Talker

S Rank: If you scroll down to the extreme version of this mission, I have a
super cheap way to S rank this mission, it's almost too easy.B

But if you want to do the regular version my way, read on. (The Extreme
version, the Skull fight takes a while, but on Normal, it isn't so bad, and
they can't kill you in 1-2 hits so you can really go to town on them)

The first main thing to remember is you don't have to worry about using
reflex mode, I assume you are going to get caught by the Skulls, and this
counts as using it.

Also you'll want to use Sleep Gas grenads, as after you take code talker,
there are a lot of guards in pairs.

Take them out, and use the 12.7 Sniper Rifle, should take 2-3 shots as long
as you get a single headshot per Skull.

Once you take them out, head to the back of the mansion, don't worry about
the guy on the spotlight, and tranq the 2 guards in the butt at the back.

If you went quick enough, you shouldn't have to deal with any other enemies
once inside. Now once you grab Code Talker, head out the back, and you'll
be greeted by two guys, Reflex them if you have to (remember, you all ready
wasted it from the Skulls, so don't be timid), but the main goal is to get
out quick, as the longer you take, the more guards will come.

Now it is easier to sneak back in the way you came from, so do that, once you 
hit the forest, you are pretty much clear, just make sure you watch the heli
and drop code talker (with a throw lol) and get on your belly.

Leave and you win! If this seems too hard or unorthadoxed, read the extreme
version of this level down below, you'll laugh how easy it is!

If you are going for any S rank, you shouldn't be getting caught. No caught
means no damage. If that express S rank doesn't work for you, scroll down
to the extreme version of this map for a fool proof way to complete the
mission flawlessly.

You actually don't have to fight them, but it's still an objective. Best way
to kill them is to outsnipe them. Basically look for thier lasers, and shoot
them from a different angle.

You'll notice that they will shift, usually between two positions, just don't
miss! If you land a hit, move to the opposite side, of say, a rock, as the one
you hit will focus on where you were.

Tips on actually landing a hit, mark them with your scope before you blindly
shot, and use a scope with 8X mag for easier headshots.

Though the area is huge, you really should need to go in the valley, but do
move once you kill a couple if you don't see them for a while.

They can also do that teleport attack, but just like the other Skulls, you
want them to do this as if you counter, you can pretty much kill one.

Also, unlike the extreme fight, they really shouldn't be hitting you enough
to where you need special body armor, so a sneaking suit will do.

Once you can revisit this mission, just extract them, there is no reason not
to once you can. Even if you do lethal damage to them, they can still be
taken.

I did this on my first run of the mission, but I highly recommend you don't
if you are going for the S rank as there are a lot of double guards (or try

be dealing with the helicopter.

29-Metallic Archaea

S Rank: If you just beat the mission, you'll S rank it. This is assuming once
you die, you restart the mission.

The only difference between these Skulls and the ones during the Caravan 
mission are they start with the Armor on.

(Now this works for the Extreme version as well, but for normal, this is 
overkill)

You'll want to take a "tough guy" (The soldier you get for beating the game
is also S++, further reducing damage, as well as the full battle dress. Again,
this is overkill for this mission, but it can't hurt.

For weapons, either use the 12.7 rifle (or a machine gun) OR I've been told
the gattling gun on the D-Walker will destroy them, I haven't tried it.

The 12.7 once fully upgraded will take their armor off in a single shot, and
leave them dead in another 4-5.

You really can make this mission a joke doing all of these things, but don't
pat yourself on the back, remember that this is the normal version.

S Rank: I want to warn you, I did not come up with this following strat, many
people did before me, so I don't take any credit nor can I truly give it out.

Either way, I'm sure we all like to help.

So after MANY tries, perfect stealth and what not, I couldn't figure out for
the life of me how to get to the end FAST enough, as this is a HUGE fortess.

So you are going to break the game... take:

+A soldier with tough guy
+Fully upgraded battle dress
+Fully upgraded shield
+Fully upgraded D-Walker armor.

Hop on him right from the start, don't get off him and wheel yourself to
the end. You will get seen and shot at, but you won't die, and you can
activate the final 3 cutscenes even under an alert!

Also you can skip everything, including the walk. This should take you
about 3 minutes and give you an S rank.

S Rank: Just beating the mission will most likely net you an S Rank. You really
don't even need a particular load out as he doesn't really do enough damage
fast enough, where on the extreme version, he can one-shot you in many ways,
so look at that mission for more tips.

For an easy time, make sure you have the final missile luancher made (the one
that fires 8 missiles, it is made branching off of the Honey Bee)

You can miss this is you take in that mutli-missile launcher as you can
actually kill him too fast.

To make this happen, get him to low health, and usually after the final
forced supply drop (next to a broken vehicle) he will jump towards you.

The boy will appear, so make sure you switch to an assault rifle and hit
him once. This is stun the mech as well, as most likely end the fight.

He seems to jump more once he is down firing his rail gun.

32-To Know Too Much

S Rank: Strive to complete the objective where you extract him before he
gets discovered. If you do this, you will no doubt get an S rank.

Take and Athlete with the dog, or horse, and swap him for the dog once you
see the walker gears. If you are fast enough, you only need take out one of
them.

If you are too slow, don't worry, all the walker gears will huddle up and
you can tranq them all from behind.

If you don't get to the guy fast for the above objective, and you are going
for the S rank, just tranq each guy on the gears, FUlton them and the walkers.

Remember once they are close to each other, the gears will "beep" at each

Take Sleep Gas, not only for a group sleepover party, but because sometimes
the game will spawn a gear rider with riot armor.

Basically if you take too long to rescue him (thus failing the one objective
above) they will call it in and a jeep will come.

Once the guy in the jeep comes, he takes his time getting the prisoner in
the back, so there is no hurry.

I suggest doing this outside your S rank run and as an objective by itself.

They aren't too out of the way, but they are enough out to screw things up.

This is an odd objective, basically you need the guy in the jeep to take
him back to the palace (he drives slow as balls). Once he does, you'll get
a message saying somebody took over another base.

They are refering to this soviet you need to extract. He is in a jeep with
a ski mask. (This is a different jeep)

***IMPORTANT***

If you plan on doing this objective, DO NOT SCREW IT UP AFTER YOU GET TO
THE FINAL CHECKPOINT BEFORE THE PALACE. If you do, when you reload it,
the prisoner and jeep he's in will get stopped and killed before he
makes it to the "quiet rape hut".

S Rank: Ok, you came here to cheese, right? I got ya!

This one is SO friggen easy... in the main game, make sure you attack the
anti-aircraft radar truck. Once you do this, you can choose this area as the
landing zone... only you don't land, stay in the chopper and use the gattling
gun on all three radar targets.

Yes, it's that easy. S Rank.

You are going to have to do this objective on another run, so for all the
objectives you couldn't do using that cheese S rank strat do this:

Go to the town where the prisoners are, do your best to steal a heavy
machine gun from a heavy. Once you get a gun, you are golded (and these 
actually work good on the heavies as well)

For this objective, you'll want to take the high road (where the hidden
diamond is) and scope them. Shit will hit the fan, so don't worry, just
try kill the missile launcher guys first. Use body shots, don't waste
time aiming for the head as every hit counts (the riot gear guys can't
be headshotted, and you don't want to be wasting time VS missile
launchers)

S Rank: Now my strategy for the regular version works the same, as if you
don't get to the second, there isn't any difference as if you are using
the upgraded 8-clustered missile launcher and C4, they will still take out
vehicles in one hit.

So to spice things up I'll tell you the broken way to do this mission...

(Keep in mind, I did not make this up, and I didn't even do it this way
myself, but if you are a message user at GameFAQs.com, you get a lot of
people crying about this mission, then you get just as many people saying
this...)

You are going for the No Trace bonus, which is an instant S rank. Just put
your horse in the middle of the road, FUlton something, then exit the hot
zone.

You can make this even faster by puffing on a phantom cigar.

That's it... if you screw up, you don't even need to waste time with a 
restart mission and chopper ride as the No Trace is Auto S rank.

This part can slightly be harder (assuming you aren't just cheesing with
stealth) as the guards can and will kill you.

So either use the armor suit/battle dress (supply drop a shield after you

I would take a quick killig weapon, like my favorite. the grenade launcher
with a 10 round clip.

Sleep Gas won't hurt when trying to FUlton the enemies chasing the prisoner
either.

Unless you get seen, this part doesn't change. Remember unless you are
using the armor parasite suit, you are pretty going to die in a single hit,

limit on these, So using those electro tanks mines is a very good idea.

35-Cursed Legacy

S Rank: Since this mission is pretty much ALL heavies with riot gear, you'll
want to absolutely take sleep gas.

Ignore all the objectives relating to the mansion, the containers are VERY
easy to find. 

Obviously you'll want to take out the lower side first, there are more guards,
and bigger risks.

For the second part, you'll want to ride the container out, and don't be 
afraid to toss a magazine to get the guys away from you. But seriously, sleep
gas for the first part, and the second part, it isn't even hard to choke every
one out.

they are VERY easy to spot.

Only annoying things, if like the top two objectives, you will most likely
need to enter the level just to complete these.

S Rank: This mission plays almost the same as the regular version. Before you
play it, make sure you do the deployment missions to take away as much
riot gear as you can.

Even if you do, there will be a few soldiers that have it on, so that's 
pretty much the only difference.

Use sleep gas to help with this, it also works great once guards stop 
investigating fallen bodies near the walkers.

Avoid rescuing the prisoners for your S rank run, and maybe hold off on
blowing up the C4 until it looks like you are going to get caught.

S Rank: This mission plays out roughtly the same, so follow the S rank tips
from above... however I would suggest one big thing:

Make sure you are comforable fighting Skulls on extreme. The 12.7 sniper
rifle is a must, you can replace Dog during the fight with D-walker (I heard
the gattling gun destroys them), and if you have the sneaking suit on, supply
drop a battle dress behind a building so you can safely equip it.

Again, the biggest changes to this mission are the damage the skulls can do
and the amount of damage they can take.

where the film is, then on your second try, just book to it.

You literally only need to put down one guard.

After you do that, complete the other objectives on your third try.

S Rank: If you can do this mission in the regular version without getting
seen, the only difference is that there is like 2 guards in riot armor.

Take sleep gas no matter what, but there are two ways you can go about this.
(Of course there are more than 2 ways, but these are the ones I prefer).

1. Take either way up, doesn't matter, and drop one guy in the middle. Sooner
or later people will start to come on over. During this time make use of sleep
gas and butt tranqs. Use D-Dog's FUlton "get it" to mop them up without 
the worry about you getting seen. Once you notice all the guards are out of
the main building, make your move.

2. Do essencally the same thing, only take the back way, next to the precious
metal container, drop the body and cause a seen, in the same manner, try to
get rid of everyone in the building, but you can also toss sleep nades down
the steps. Remember, there is almost ALWAYS a riot gear guard down here.

Naturally you'll want to wormhole this guy asap.

If there is an easier way than dropping bodies and causing a scene, please

My first try I didn't get hit, at all. But again, I heard a tip that if you
really want to cheese this mission, bring a tank.

There are 3 huge differences in this mission than the regular version.

1. Quiet is dressed up as Sniper Wolf, and blends in better at night against
the brown and green of the mountains.

2. If you aren't using the fully upgraded battle dress, she will kill you
in a single shot.

3. The supply drop trick is harder to pull off, more on that down below.

Unlike the regular version, she won't just let you hit her with a supply
drop. Only the final hit counts, so tranq her down to very low (needs to be
lower than 16.6%)

Once you do that, mark her and drop a supply. During the entire time, toss out
decoys and pop them up, she will usually shot them, AND with your fully
upgraded battle dress, also stand in the open when the supple drop ticker
gets to 15-20. If she is mid shot, it will hit her.

41-Proxy War without End

S Rank: This mission feels just like "Backup, Back Down".

However, it is very easy to S rank. If you have that 8-Cluster missile
launcher, you don't even have to try. Do not worry about any of the objectives,
just kill. I'm pretty sure I got seen, so as long as you are fast (and on a
horse) you should be fine.

If you want to do this mission without getting seen, read below the objective
"Extracted the armored column's commander"

You need to do this to end the mission, but there is a VERY easy way to do

First off, get an athlete soldier for this mission, and a very good quality
tranq sniper rifle.

Head to the airport AND GET RID OF EVERYONE ASAP! I'm not even joking, you
can't just wait for people to fall down... if they have helms, put 2 rounds
ASAP into there legs. Then extract everyone so they can't wake up.

Once they are clear, the tanks and crap will be rolling it, so you'll want to
be overlooking the middle of the airport, BUT not from the building, you'll
want to be close to the opposite side's buildings...

Once you are there, wait till the 3 vehicles park, it isn't even hard to
figure out the order to FUlton them.

***After you do this, YOU MUST HURRY as the 4th tank will enter the battle

THEN plant C4 under the Gunship. (This is to make sure the blueprint stays
in the airport)

Then find the commander, if you took over the base, it shouldn't be hard to
hold him up. Do so, and make him "spit it out" until he tells you where the
diamonds are. 

Extract the commander, Collect the Diamonds, then Blow the C4 and collect
the blueprint. BAM all objectives. This should actually give you an S rank.

The last tank can be missiled, or whatever, as long as you don't get caught
while you take it out, as there is no objective for capturing tanks.

he eventually goes to, but if you clear the airport before they arrive, and

42-[Extreme]Metallic Archaea


S Rank: If you just beat the mission, you'll S rank it. This is assuming once
you die, you restart the mission.

The only difference between these Skulls and the ones during the Caravan 
mission are they start with the Armor on.

You'll want to take a "tough guy" (The soldier you get for beating the game
is also S++, further reducing damage, as well as the full battle dress. Again,
this is overkill for this mission, but it can't hurt.

For weapons, either use the 12.7 rifle (or a machine gun) OR I've been told
the gattling gun on the D-Walker will destroy them, I haven't tried it.

The 12.7 once fully upgraded will take their armor off in 5 shots, and
leave them dead in another 10 or so.

The looked like what I said about the Skulls in the previous mission, well
here are things you need to do differently.

1. Never stand in the open, not only can they shot you better, but you may
not have a place to dodge those rocks.

2. ALWAYS be aware of the ground... if you see wierd mist below you, they
are trying to form a rock that will explode and most likely kill you in
one hit. ALWAYS DODGE. They like to do this when you counter an attack,
trust me, that extra hit can wait.

3. Mark them. Though out the fight, you'll want to focus on one at a 
time, because if you don't, they will keep regenerating armor.

4. Learn how to counter them. Basically you'll want to listen for the
rapid teleporting. You'll get used to it, then hit the CQC button ONLY
when the icon pops up, if you hit it too early, you'll get hit.
Not only does this avoid a massive attack, but it leaves them open
to be close range shot up... if you are using that 12.7 you can
bring a full health full armored Skull to about 25% health or lower!

That's all you need to know. If you are aware of their special attacks, you
should be fine, just don't stand in the open too long... also look at them.

If you hear that materialization noise, catch there weapons.

If it's a gun, (and only VS one) you can shot them in the head (assuming 
there is no armor) and he will stagger, he will do a short teleport and you
can do this again.

If it's a blade, chances are they will do the teleport slash outlined
in #4.

S Rank: The only thing I can remember being different in my normal run to
my total stealth run is the child soldiers starting location. This mission
they were sleeping in a house.

That's it... oh and the enemies have rocket launchers more often... which
means nothing.

If you scroll up to the 13-Pitch Dark, everything I wrote there, works for
this mission.

You are still going to crawl to the jeep, capture the outpost, and capture
the oil field.

The only thing that will be a bit harder will be extracting the walker gears,
but don't do that for the S rank, remember as I said above (if you are too
lazy to scroll up) take a container out of the mission to be safe.

I didn't even notice riot gear guards, but still take Sleep gas, you never
know.

I even used the garbage rocket launcher they give you... so if you want to
make this mission a joke, equip a fully upgraded battle dress and use the
missile launcher that split into 8 missiles. 

Quiet will take care of the other enemies for you.

Do not listen to the internet, they will suggest calling in sandstorms... The
thing is, since this is considered "a boss fight", not even stealth works,
and in the sandstorm, they don't stop and aim, they just keep moving.

Do this:

Take the parasite suit with Armor parasites (you should get six, and with
the auto supply drops, you'll never run out... this things is broken).

Take a shield.

Take a weapon that you can use to subdue the foor soldiers (grenade launcher, 
auto shot gun, assualt rifle...).

Take the side arm that shots smoke grenades.

Ok, this is actually very easy with this set-up. First pop a parasite pill,
then shot some smoke at a tank, as you make your way towards them, kill
the other pesky guards. 

When you are close, just FUlton them. As long as you re-up the armor when
it is about 33% left, YOU WILL NEVER DIE!

One last thing, talk to Quiet and tell her to stop cover fire... she can

46-The Man Who Sold the World

S Rank: You don't even need to worry about the objectives (do them any ways), 
the main reason people miss this S rank is because they watch all the cut
scenes.

So, on your second time through, skip everything.

Also, this mission is the same thing as the very first mission, expect even
eaiser as you don't have to worry about fighting on a horse.

47-[Total Stealth]The War Economy

S Rank: I outlined how to S rank this mission in the regular version. So
scroll up to that section for details.

The only differences are:

1. Cameras, which you can sneak under all of them with taking them out.

2. A few riot gear guards, which you will never get close to

3. The snipers appear to see farther, but you can still put them down father
than they can see you.

The objectives are just as easy, I just would save the blueprint for its
own playthrough, read down for more on that.

48-[Extreme]Code Talker

S Rank: Unlike the normal version of this mission, we aren't going for the
No Trace bonus, it's MUCH easier than you think.

The reason we aren't going to fight the Skulls is not because they are more
dangerous, but because they take more time, and you don't want to have to
keep fighting them over and over again...

So to begin, equip just the sneaking suit, and remember, for no traces you
can't do ANYTHING.

Now, to skip the Skulls, just go into the river and follow it to the end. 
Look at your map... do you see the four cracks? They will lead you up and
pretty much behind them. Take it, and cross the bridge.

You get a checkpoint, and here is the good part, there is only one hard
place to dodge guards... and if you screw up? YOU CAN RELOAD THE CHECKPOINT
AND STILL GET THE NO TRACE BONUS!!!!!!

So cross the bridge, go to the left and move when the spot light guy isn't
facing you, this is easy.

Now the guys at the back door... couch and let them both "sense" you, then
crawl behind the sand bags. As they return to there posts under the porch
roof, follow them slightly to the right and into the door (slowly). You can
actually make it by them like this... and like I said above, if you screw
up, you can just try from the checkpoint!

Ok, get Code Talker, and since you didn't kill the Skulls, two will be
in the back, and two will be in the front, AND ALL THE OTHER soldiers
will be turned into puppet soldiers that can't trigger an alert!

Exit the mission the way you came in, if you hug the mountain to the right,
you almost can't be seen by a sniper Skull, call the chopper once you are
a good enough distance away from them and the mission is over!

Eliminated the Skulls

You actually don't have to fight them, but it's still an objective. Best way
to kill them is to outsnipe them. Basically look for thier lasers, and shoot
them from a different angle.

You'll notice that they will shift, usually between two positions, just don't
miss! If you land a hit, move to the opposite side, of say, a rock, as the one
you hit will focus on where you were.

Tips on actually landing a hit, mark them with your scope before you blindly
shot, and use a scope with 8X mag for easier headshots.

Though the area is huge, you really should need to go in the valley, but do
move once you kill a couple if you don't see them for a while.

They can also do that teleport attack, but just like the other Skulls, you
want them to do this as if you counter, you can pretty much kill one.

The only difference are there massive amount of health and the fact they
can kill you in a single shot if you aren't wearing the battle dress.

So as long as you aren't in the open, they can kill you unless teleports to
you. The good news, you can tell when one is going to try and melee you by
you see one standing up close to your hiding spot... basically if they aren't
arcoss the massive canyon, they are trying to knife you.

49-[Subsistence]Occupation Forces

S Rank: Use an Athlete for best results.

Start by running forward, but instead of turning right to where the
intel file is, go left.

At this guard post let a guard "sense" you, then crouch behind a sand bag. Once
he turns around, choke him/cqc him, what ever. Just don't get seen. Pick him
up and grab his gun. Then travel down that same road (going left, away from the
intel file)

Place the soldier in the middile of the road, a bit a head of the stone wall
you are obviously going to hide behind. (The road dips, put him at the bottom
where the dip ends)

When you place him, kick him to wake him up, then hold him up. He is now
your road block.

Once the tanks and truck stop, FUlton them, and don't worry about the guy
getting up and seeing you, the tank usually just runs him over.

Easy, huh? Now you'll find out getting the other two objectives are actually
harder... go figure.

You can choose to capture this guard post before you talk to the yellow
file, I suggest you do. I didn't. Make sure you pick up a rocket/stinger
missile launcher from a guard and the ammo right before you hit the intel
file.

BEFORE you grab it, you'll want to steal that tank next to the outpost north
of this area.

You get one chance to set up the checkpoint with the stolen tank, so hope in
it and just drive towards where the tanks will be coming from, hide then
FUlton in the same manner you did you the S rank.

Only thing, they stop less for the tank than the soldier in the road, so
you really need to FUlton fast, like if you accidently climb in the truck,
that's enough time to screw you up...

I said to pick up the rocket launcher incase the tank gets away, you can
attempt to kill it like that.

S Rank: If you use the 8-cluster missile launcher, you can kill him in a
single supply drop. I 100% suggest that you use this weapon if you haven't
yet.

Right when the mission starts, do a supply drop.

Oh, and I'm not even going to bother telling you how to dodge his stupid
rock attack, just equip the armor parasite + the suit and you don't have
to even try.

There that's it, easiest MGS final boss in history. After you equip the
armored parasite, the hardest part about this mission is not killing him
too fast you can shoot the little boy.
