It's also my first guide so there's bound to be mistakes riddled throughout it. However I've tried my best to keep it as clean as possible. Also you may find the Recipes section of this FAQ incomplete, and that's because it is. I don't know the exact location of all the items, but I've tried my best to put down what I know. I know for a fact that all the frequently asked locations on the message board have been answered, it's just the more common ones that have yet to be. _____________________________________________________________________________ II. Version History Version: 0.1 First submission, all recipes are here, the locations of where they are obtained (which quests give what, where the ideas are located and which level the idea appears at are not yet fully put in). Version: 0.9 There have been many additions, changes and corrections this time. This is essentially the final version but I have a few more recipes to add to the ingredient list and will be willing to make additions and changes if someone else notifies me of something that I don't have or a mistake I made. Aside from that everything that I want is in. The first change is the completion of the recipe list. Now every recipe has a location of where it can be found; whether it is alchemy leveling, chests or quest reward. Also, a few recipe locations were wrong and have now been corrected to indicate where they can actually be found. The Ingredient list got an incredible overhaul. Much better format that can, and does, handle more locations. I'm sure I got most of them but I may have missed a few spots here and there where some items can be found. In addition I've made some changes to a few of the rarities since I didn't know, like Taiyaki for example, could be found through the Trick or Treat skill making it an item that can be obtained in abundance as opposed to super rare. Also each item now has a list of which recipes it can be used in. Also there are now more items listed in that section. Essentially if it has a property, and it's not an ingredient type, it has also been listed. The credits section has been updated. I was foolish and didn't give NIS America and Gust the credit they deserved; now they have it. Several additional sections have been added. The first section is the alchemy level section. It tells you what recipes you get when you level up and what they turn into in addition to how much magic attack and magic defense Iris gets with each level up. The second section is on the shops. All shops have been listed along with their items and prices (except recipes since I had bought them all by the time I decided I wanted to do a shop section) but the recipes are included in the shop list so you can at least figure out where they are bought. The third section has the Bonus Field Lists. This isn't really alchemy but it's not large enough to stand alone and I want it somewhere just incase it falls off the Gamefaq's forums permanently. _____________________________________________________________________________ III. You will need at least a dozen, if not more, of these if you wish to grow all the crystals. Shadow Gem - Used to get the "True Ending" Ingredients: Broken Gem, Ruby Prism You create it to finish the final guild quest "Truth in Darkness" and it will give you the true ending. ================================================= Recipes: This section lists all of the alchemy recipes, their locations, what they create and all of their derivations. 0 Star -> 8 Star refers to alchemy levels with 0 being the basic level you start at and 8 being the last level you can reach. Quest Reward Means it's a reward from a quest, be it a Retrieval, Kill or Guild quest. In addition I've marked the chapter when it first appears, not necessarily the chapter where you complete it since some Guild Quests appear in a chapter but can't be completed until the next because you rank up before you're able to get to it. Quest Item means the recipe is obtained 'during' a quest and is used to finish the quest, as opposed to getting it at the end. Also, the Ruby Prism recipe is unique, as far as I can tell it's the only recipe you get from a Mission, it that's the only Mission you actually ever get a reward for and it's ironic that it's Crowley of all people that gives you the reward.
