Notes:

supposedly said by Shingen.

It means that no matter how much solid a castle is,

(The scene is a cliff somewhat distant from the Honnoji,
at nighttime.
Masamune arrives with his horse, under the full moon.
His subordinates are in tow. The horses neigh.
Masamune pulls back the reins and spurs lightly his horse.)

Masamune: Demon King of the Sixth Heaven..? Devil(*)...?

(He grins)

Masamune: NO!(*) He's an old man..just that.

(The horse neighs again.
It stands on its hind legs and wails loudly at the skies.
Masamune doesn't flinch and takes hold of the reins.)

Masamune: HA!!

(He then proceeds to storm down the cliff, grinning.
His subordinates run behind him.)

(Scene change - Honnoji main hall.
Ranmaru is supposed to be guarding the main entrance,
but he succumbed to sleep.
Nobunaga is drinking, served by Nouhime.
He then seems to notice something...
the candles' light flicker a little.
Nobunaga's eyes become fiercer,
but he doesn't let go of his cup.)

Nobunaga: He's here...

(He drinks from his cup, silently.
The surroundings are still quiet...)

*** Fierce Clash!! Mikatagahara!! ***


Characters:

Sanada Yukimura

Takeda Shingen

Honda Tadakatsu

Tokugawa Ieyasu


(Inside a shrub-filled forest, the Takeda army makes its advance.
The soldiers are perfectly lined up, and the only audible sound is
their footsteps. The Takeda flag flutters proudly in the wind.

Spying them from the bushes, however, is the Tokugawa army,
lying in wait.
When the last Takeda soldier passes...
Ieyasu's eyes light up, and the Tokugawa assault commences.)


Ieyasu: We have located the Takeda army's rear!!
        Soldiers, chaa---


(But those words die in his mouth, as the Takeda army
swiftly turned and went in formation, arms at the ready.
A great number of lances is pointed at the Tokugawa.)

(Shingen is standing fierily behind the lancers, and he grins.)

Shingen: Heh...you really thought we would fall for tis?

(Ieyasu is trembling. Shingen gives a fearsome order...)

Shingen: CHAAAARRGGGEEE!!!!

(The Takeda army attacks all at once.
The Tokugawa army is pushed back by such impetus.
Sasuke watches the whole scene from a tree, and smirks.
Shingen and Yukimura too contently watch the battle.)

Yukimura: Noble House Lord, your plan was successful!!
         ...incidentally...

(Yukimura stops and his eyes light up.
He continues talking, but almost whispering.
He draws closer to Shingen, who is giving him a side glance.)


Yukimura: I heard that among the Tokugawa there is the
          mightiest warrior of all...

(Shingen understands what Yukimura wants to say, and grins.
Yukimura nods, and Shingen looks forward again,
and speaks in a solemn tone.)

Shingen: Let's show them what we can do, Yukimura!! Let's go!!!

Yukimura: WOOOOHHH!!!

(Raising a war cry, the two rush onwards.)

(Scene change - Ieyasu barely managed to escape.
He's quite exhausted and frustrated.)

Ieyasu: Shit...guess I have no other choice...

(Ieyasu stands back up and looks at Tadakatsu, who waits
at the back of the Tokugawa main camp.
Only his silhouette can be seen.
A leaf flutters by him, but burns up before even
touching him...)

Characters:

(Deep mist. Inside it, the Takeda army appears.
For some reason, Shingen flies down from the sky.
He grins and communicates telepathically with Yukimura,
who is leading a separate platoon.)

Shingen: Yukimura...you are ware of what you have to do...

(Shingen's eyes light up)

(Scene change - Yukimura's platoon. For some reason,
Yukimura comes down from the sky, fluttering graciously.
His red bandana wavers. He lands and gets in fighting position,
ready for anything. He communicates with Shingen)

Yukimura: I understand. Noble House Lord...this is it!!!

(His eyes light up)

(Scene goes back to Shingen.
He dramatically wields his command fan.)


Shingen: Yes...this is the Takeda's secret strategy,
         the woodpecker tactic!!

(Sasuke is watching Shingen from a tree. He whistles.)

Sasuke: But the opponent's the War God, Uesugi Kenshin...
        Well then, how's it gonna turn out?

(Scene changes to the Uesugi main camp.
Kenshin is standing, serenely.
Kasuga is behind him, a bit uncertain.
Kenshin looks into the distance.)

Kenshin: That man...is coming.

(His expression becomes kinder.
Kasuga looks at him, kind of irritated
[he never looks at her like this...]
Kenshin spins, moving like a ballet dancer.)

Kenshin: To all soldiers!!
         Bishamonten's protection will rest upon us
         in this battle!!
         Let us go!!


(The soldiers' war cry rises, and the Uesugi army goes,
weapons in hand, and spirits high.)

*** The Akechi's Betrayal ***


Characters:

Akechi Mitsuhide



(A place somewhat distant from the Honnoji.
Mitsuhide appears, swaying. It is a moonless night.
Mitsuhide, ecstatic, leads his army down the cliff
like a raging wave.
He licks his lips, his tongue moving like a snake's.)

(Scene change - Honnoji main hall.
Nobunaga stands solemnly, seemingly unconcerned by
the distant noise...
His expression cannot be seen.
Ranmaru is there too, wielding his bow.
Nobunaga waves his mantle.)

Nobunaga: Thus there is no other way!!

(Ranmaru trembles with excitement.
He seems to be thinking
"finally I can kill that perverted bastard!"
Nouhime is sitting, slightly agitated.
In her thoughts, a snake-like Mitsuhide gets closer and closer,
blood dripping from his weapon...)

(We return suddenly to reality.
Nouhime is sweating, teeth clenched.)

Nouhime: (This can't be the end...!)

(Takeda main camp. Sasuke is standing on a nearby tree
(as always).
Shingen is standing imposingly. He suddenly shouts...)

Shingen: Such pitiful rifles are nothing to fear!!
         Let us show them a warrior's spirit!!

(He swings his command fan.)

Shingen: All sodliers, chaaarrgggeee!!!

(Scene change - Yukimura charges the Oda army,
heading the cavalry. He shouts, full of vigor.)

(Scene change, Oda camp. The gunners are lined up behind
the anti-horse fences. The Takeda army comes closer,
and Ranmaru reports to Nobunaga.)

Ranmaru: Lord Nobunaga, those guys are charging straight here!
         Maaan, how stupid are they?

(Nouhime is near Nobunaga, and is a little concerned.
Nobunaga whispers, full of confidence)

Nobunaga: Heh, decrepit morons...

(He gives a signal with his hand. The gunners get ready.
Nobunaga lowers his hand)

Nobunaga: Shoot!!

(Gunfire starts. The cavalry soldiers fall one by one.
Yukimura charges on, his head low.
The bullets don't hit him...)

Yukimura: WOOOOOOHHH!!!!

Characters:

Shimazu Yoshihiro

Honda Tadakatsu

Tokugawa Ieyasu


(Mikatagahara. The Tokugawa army charges on,
in high spirits. Their steps resound like an earthquake.)

(Scene change, Shimazu side. The Shimazu army seems like
an elite of few soldiers. They have unique weapons.
They go to battle the much more numerous Tokugawa army,
but they are fearless. Among them, Yoshihiro swings his
heavy-looking blade and knocks away many Tokugawa soldiers.
He roars at them, taking them lightly)

Yoshihiro: I got no need for youse small fry!!
           Bring out youse fierce warriors, youse hear!?

(Tokugawa camp. Ieyasu is frustrated. Takadatsu's eyes light up,
and stands up, while Ieyasu watches him.)

Ieyasu: Ta, Tadakatsu?
        But I haven't given him any orders!!
        ...it can't be that...

(Tadakatsu walks forward.)

Ieyasu: (He wants to fight against that man...?)

(Scene goes back to the battle. Yoshihiro is sweeping
the Tokugawa soldiers, then looks up as if noticing something.
Tadakatsu is coming towards him. The sand is whipped up by
the wind, and inside it Yoshihiro gets again into a stance,
looking amused.)


Yoshihiro: Hehehe, then there's guys with a backbone here too!
           Come on, will youse!!

*** Showdown of Love!? ***

(A violent snowstorm. Inside it, Itsuki and Zabii
are confronting each other. They don't budge an inch.)

Itsuki: The God A believe in...
        Grants life to the earth!!

(A warm light appears behind Itsuki. It's the goddess Ukanome.
She opens her arms wide, and many rice plants grow everywhere.
The snow field has become a rice field.)

Zabii: The god I believe in scatters love all over the world!!

(A light appears behind Zabi, and bearded angels descend.
They open their arms wide and a polar-style snow field appears.
Hanging screens and cats with "love" written on them,
neon signs and coins appear.) 

(The two keep confronting each other.
Ukanome is watching the angels,
but they are striking weird poses.)
