UPDATES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1.1 (5/3/05): Corrected some grammer mistakes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Why Should I use Pang De? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To sum up Pang De in when word is this: Powerhouse. He's attack's are powerful as well as a good defence. His moveset is awesome IMO, has great crowd clearer charges as well as a GREAT musou that decimates anybody around him. His attacks while on a horse is just a notch lower than Ma Chao's is. Plus normal attacks can't disturb his attack string.I could continue ranting about his pro's but who would want to read it all? Anyways, So you may say, why do people don't like him you say? Typically one of his major downfall is his speed. His speed is comparable to those of Xu Zhu,Meng Huo, etc. Even peons can outrun him. His attack speed is quite slow as well, but once you get a light weapon for him, it'll won't be noticibly hard to notice. In all, you may not like Pang De at first but eventually once you get used to Pang De's type of attacks, you'll get to know how good he is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Unlocking ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In order to unlock Pang De, you must first complete Ma Chao's Musou Mode. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Move Set ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pang De has mixture of crowd clearer and single enemies attacks. His musou like Zhou Tai's makes them drop down but not enough for them to juggle them and still imput the amount of damage when there still standing. S: Swings his right halberd left horizontally SS: Swings his left halberd right horizontally SSS: Swings both of his halberds left horizontally SSSS: Swings his left halberd right horizontally SSSSS: Turns around, then swings both of his halberds right horizontally SSSSSS: Swings his both of his halberd in a downward motion, then moves his right halberd to the right and the left halberd to the left. Your weapon have to evolution capable in order to use the follow attacks: SSSSSSS: Swings his left halberd right horizontally SSSSSSSS: Turns around, then swings both of his halberds right horizontally SSSSSSSSS: Swings his both of his halberd in a downward motion, then moves his right halberd to the right and the left halberd to the left. T: Pang De stomps his feet creating a shockwave around him, doesn't cover a lot of ground though. ST: Pang De swings one of his halberd in an upward motion, hitting them in the air, just enough to juggle them. SST: Swings his halberds in a diagonal movement and ends off with a double halberd swing to the left, which stuns. Press T more in order to do my swings. (Number of swings depends on what type of weapon you have equipped) SSST: Swings his halberds in a 360 degree movement around his body hitting everybody away who is caught with it. SSSST: Pang De slams both of his halberds into the ground causing everbody around him to fly into the air. SSSSST: Pang De stretchs his halberds horizontally and runs in front of him and at the end does cross slash with them. Great move, even better when an orb is equipped, especially fire orb. Musou attack: Swings both his halberds right, then left consecutively, then moves forward and swings both of his halberds again, which blast anybody hit with the last attack fly away VERY FAR. True Musou: Like his normal Musou but then at the end jumps into the air and stabs both of his halberds in the ground creating a shockwave hitting and making everbody around him fly away. Mounted Attack: Pang De swings both of his halberds on one side consecutively Mounted Charge: Swings one his halberds on each side. Mounted Musou: Swings his halberd in one side, then finally finishs off with a wave surround the horse making everybody around it fly away. Dash Attack: Does an almost 360 degree slash around him. Parry attack: Quickly swings his one of his halberd to the right and his other halberd in the back of him left. Jump attack: Swings his halberds each in the opposite side of Pang De. Jump Charge: Pang De does a front flip holding each of his halberds vertically in his hands, whoever gets hit by this attack is stunned. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Weapons ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weapons are back to it was in Dynasty Warriors 3, if you don't know yet, in order to get better weapons, you either have to defeat Officers or destroy boxes to get Treasure boxes in order to gain a new weapon.(By the way, weights for weapons #1-3 are random). In order to get your last and of coarse best weapon, you need to fulfill certain requirements in order to gain it. War Pick: Power: +4 Attacks: 4 (How many consecutive square hits you can use) Weight: Random (How fast you can wield your weapon depends on the weight) Attributes: Random Sturdy Halberd: Power: +8 Attacks: 5 Weight: Random Attributes: Random Pole Axe: Power: +12 Attack: 6 Weight: Random Attributes: Random Heavenly Halberd: Power: +36 Attacks: 6 Weight: Light Luck: 15 Def: 15 Life: 18 Horse: 17 Atk: 16 How to Get: Stage: Battle of Mt. Ding Jun (Must be done on Hard Mode) How to Get: Defeat Zhao Yun, Guan Ping, Wei Yan, and Huang Zhong before Cao Cao arrives. Strategy: What I did was go south to defeat Zhao Yun first. While your going toward Zhao Yun, 2 of Zhao Yun's sub-generals will be in your way, you can defeat them in you want, although its not necessary. Wipe out the defence base blocking your way and defeat Zhao Yun. Head north and you'll meet Guan Ping. Defeat him and continue north. You might want to save Huang Zhong for last, so just go find Wei Yan and dispose of him. Then go back and fight Huang Zhong. He's super powered up in this level so be prepared. Keep your distance and keep pounding him intil he dies. You should get a "valuable item found" message. If you forgot where it is, just go in your battlelog to find out where it is. Get it, and sometime later, Liu Bei will tell all units to charge toward your ally main base. Simply defeat Liu Bei, he's not that hard to finish the stage. Congratulations, now you have a brand new Heavenly Halberd! If you did every thing right of coarse. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Frequently ask questions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whats the best place to max out Pang De in order to get his 4th weapon easier? I recommend doing any 5 star stage, as the officers give out the best stat increasers. What are the best items for Pang De? What I gave him was: 1. Tiger Amulet: More power means faster rate of killing people 2. Peacock Urn: More life means the longer you can stay alive 3. Tortoise Amulet: This along with Peacock Urn means more defense against enemy hits. 4. Wind Scroll: Although not necessary, its recommended to use this because why not have extra reach with Pang De's already long reach? 5. Ginseng (or whatever comes to your mind), I picked this because it means faster refilling of my musou which = more killing, but hey, its your choice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10.
