-- OZ -- -- FAQ/Walkthrough -- -- By Kouli (aka Ken Zhao, kenzhao99@yahoo.com) -- -- Version 0.5 -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This FAQ/Walkthrough is based on the Japanese version of OZ that is released on June 30th, 2005. The game is made and published by Konami. If you are wondering, this game is made by the people involved with Gensou Suikoden and Castlevania. BTW, OZ stands for Over Zenith. By Konami, that means "Chouten Wo Koeshimono" which means "He Who Surpassed The Top/Peak". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \July 05, 2005/ - Version 0.1, beginning to write the full walkthrough \July 06, 2005/ - Version 0.2, continue on the walkthrough \July 07, 2005/ - Version 0.3, completion of the walkthrough \July 08~13, 2005/ - Version 0.4, further on other unlockables and specials \July 17~18, 2005/ - Version 0.5, wrapping up on the unlockables and specials ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fragment Of Intelligence: None Starting up with you control Cain, with Almira and Leon helping you. This is not much of a battle, to say the least. All of you are transformed. All you need to do here is attack with Square, press Triangle to use Deathblow when you see the hint on the screen. Just try out the controls and the basic of the battle system itself. After, continue on. There will be more enemies, but just press Triangle when you see the hint on screen and this will have Cain, Leon and Almira to do a Combination Deathblow. And that will kill all enemies. After scenes, the prologue ends and the intro of the game kicks in. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 After scenes, you will get to control Feel, against Almira. Just follow the hints, such as log on with R1, press X to regain your stand after getting blow off by Almira. Basically, guard her attacks with L1 and attack back with Square. If she jumps up in air, evade it with R1+Left Stick(Direction)+X. If you need to heal, hit the barrels around. Now, to get the Fragment Of Intelligence here, you need to Blow-Off Attack(Up+Square) Almira so she can fall and hit the well at the center of the battle field. After you beat her, you will be promt with choices. Pick the second then the first since those increase the Affection Value of Almira. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Here, you can take a tutorial with Almira, to learn about Blow-Off Attack, Launch Attack, Pursuing/Chain Attack and the Deathblow. After, continue on. There will be quite some enemies on the way, just repeat what you learned so far, such as doing Blow-Off Attack, Launch Attack, Pursuing/Chain Attack to increase the Tension Gauge, then finally the Deathblow. Finally, you will fight the boss, Leon. Aside from the barrels here, you can also hit some grass. Doing so will reveal the Fragment Of Intelligence. Now for Leon, instruct Almira with R1+Circle to tackle his defense then attack with Feel. Repeat this til you take him out. After, you will be promt with 2 choices again. Pick the first and the second, to increase the Affection Value of Almira. That's what I picked. If you want to increase the the Affection Value of Leon, pick the second and the first to do so. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You will be promt with another choice, I pick the second to increase the Affection Value of Almira. If you want to increase the Affection Value of Leon, then pick the first choice. After, continue on. There are lots of enemies here as well, but you got Almira and Leon this time. There shouldn't be much trouble here unless you still haven't get used to the battle system. Moving on, as you might have noticed already, there is a south part on the map you can't get to yet, but before you advance to the northern area for the boss, in that area, you can go south. Just pay attention to the map and you will get it. At south, there is another jar, but this one contains the Fragment Of Intelligence. Now just back track and go north for the boss fight, against Servus. It doesn't have that many attacks, but it can hit you hard. Attack him first then he will drop this 'rock', attack that after. This will raise the Tension Gauge and you will beed to use few Deathblow here to finish it off. This should be pretty easy if you got the hang of the whole combo attackings. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Again, you will be promt with another choice. I pick the second one to increase the Affection Value of Almira. If you want to do that for Leon, pick the first choice. Clear the enemies and move to the next section. There is a jar on a rock here that only Almira can jump up to. Just pray and see if enemies show up on that rock so you can command Almira to get them, then hoping Almira would hit that jar and get that Fragment Of Intelligence. This is the only way to get it in this Story Mode. If not, you will have to get this in EX Mode(you need to clear Chapter 6 first) and using Almira as the Player Character. After, just continue on to defeat enemies. As you might know already, those egg/shell like thingy can be killed with Deathblow. So just charge up the Tension Gauge with the side enemies then attack the egg/shell with a Deathblow. Continue on and eventually, you can go left and right. If you go right, you can fight some more enemies, go left for the boss fight. This time, you are to fight against Vitis. He will summon out 2 enemies to help him. Try to separate them and kill each enemy one by one, then get that Vitis. Guard often against Vitis' attacks, then command others to attack or you could attack him when he's attacking either Almira or Leon. After you reduce Vitis' health to zero, he will run off. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You will be promt with another choice. I pick the second to increase the Affection Value of Almira. If you want that for Leon, pick the first choice to do so. Ok, you are here to save all the children. Go right first. More enemies and there are two rooms here, upper one is a trap and the lower one is where a child is. You can't go left yet, go continue to the right. Clear more enemies and save the children here. Beware of the right room since it's another trap. Moving on, at north, clear the enemies then hit this statue. Now, back track to the first area, then go left. More enemies and children, just beware the lower room is another trap. Clear more enemies then hit the other statue here. Next, more enemies, and upon saving the second last child, the left door to the right is now accessible. One of the rooms here will also contain another Fragment Of Intelligence. However, it could just be random. It is in a jar within one of rooms in this chapter. I actually obtain it in EX Mode(you need to clear Chapter 6 first). Afterward, to that red door. Check out the 4 rooms then continue to the north for the last child. There are a lot of enemies, but just abuse the Deathblow and you should be fine. Next, 4 rooms here, a child should be at the lower left one. Then move on to the final area. The boss is Duum Vir and you can do little damage to it normally. Stay away from it and Duum Vir will send out this arm/enemy, use it to build up the Tension Gauge then use Deathblow on the boss. Repeat this til you beat it. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Go left first. Clear the enemies and check out that room. The jar here contains Fragment Of Intelligence. After, take the stairs up. Clear the enemies and continue to make your way up. Lots of enemies and be sure to abust Deathblow more often. The room here got another jar with health, but there will be more enemies showing up. Next floor, more enemies and another room with a jar that has an accessory. Next floor, more enemies and yet another jar with health in a room. After, up the stairs toward the final area. Here, you are fighting against Galumn and Juju. Ok, I am focusing on beating Galumn only. Command Leon and Almira to get lure Juju. Juju can accidentally stun Galumn, when you see the stars on Galumn's head, go get him. The rest of the time, avoid and guard often. If you like Galumn, go get Juju solely. She is much easier to defeat since she has less health. After, you will be promt with another choice. I pick the first to increase the Affection Value of Almira. If you want that for Leon, pick the second choice to do so. In the end, you will unlock EX Mode at the Title. It allows you to select a stage that you have cleared and play it using different Player Character and Partner, so it's not fixed to the usual Feel as the Player Character and Almira, Leon being the Partners. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You are to destroy all these eggs/shells like thingy and Ords. This shouldn't be too hard since you have already encountered those before. Just beware when the side enemies are going to blow up. Whenever you can do Deathblow, use it and waste no time with the enemies. After, a path will show up. Repeat the above and another path shows up. Next area, go left first. Clear more Ords and another path. Ok, this path is different because it has fishes coming from left and right. Some can drop the Fragment Of Intelligence randomly. Moving on, kill more of those Ords and back track. A path should appear and you can now go to the north. Continue to kill the remaining Ords. Afterward, continue to the last area for the boss fight. Since I beat Galumn in the previous chapter, I get to fight Juju this time. She's got the Armor/Rex this time, and she will also summon out 2 monsters to help her. Try to guard a lot here. Go after each monster one by one, then her. She will summon more, but you probably only need to repeat this few times to provide enough time to defeat her. If you can do Blow-Off or Launch Attack on her, try to chain as much as possible, don't let her get on the ground. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You will be promt with another choice. I pick the second to increase the Affection Value of Almira. If you want that for Leon, pick the first choice to do so. Ok, from where you start, turn around and check for a jar. It contains a Fragment Of Intelligence. Anyway, you are here to kill all enemies. After you kill the enemies, the rocks will lower. Continue on for more enemies. Clear them to move on for even more enemies. Clear them to move on. This next area, you will need to destroy these stone poles or legs, so the rocks would drop. Otherwise, you would fight these annoying enemies endlessly. After, move on to the final area. You are to fight Tentatores Maligenii. It is pretty easy, for a boss. Watch out for its attacks and don't get too close. It can also dish out these enemies, use them to build up the Tension Gauge. The boss also got a fire breath attack, be sure to avoid that. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You will be promt with another choice. There shouldn't be any Affection Value increase or decrease on Almira or Leon, so just pick the first choice. Now, You are all by yourself, so beware of that. Go right. There are enemies around, and you becareful here. You can all alone and you can get Game Over easily in this chapter. The ghosts here can get into the enemies and the mouth like thingy on the wall can suck you up. Continue on and more enemies. To take down the barrier, you would need to attack this orb. Eventually, you would see Almira. Now the path near where you first started in this chapter has been opened, you can now back track. Battling is a bit easier now with Almira, but still, try to becareful. So, enter that new path to another area. Continue to clear more enemies and eventually, you would be at the final area. Go left and continue the path to a jar, it contains another Fragment Of Intelligence. Now, back track and go right. Clear the enemies and continue on. You would meet up with Juju, given that you beat Galumn in Chapter 6 and beat Juju in Chapter 7. Juju will end up joining the party. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 We got these flower buds with poison gas, and sometimes contain an enemy within it. Also, one of these buds actually contain a Fragment Of Intelligence, so be sure to break all of them. Anyway, clear the initial flower bud then move on to the next area. Here, you can go left or right. Clear the loads of enemies then go left first. Clear the enemies, then attack the two orbs to move on. Clear more enemies and continue to the north. Clear more enemies and two more orbs to break, then move on to another area. Now, the next area here has even more enemies. Afterward, go to the north again. You will be fighting clones. It's not really that bad if you just focus on one. One ally could just take all the damage and the other can help you out on focusing on one clone. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 You will be promt with another choice. There shouldn't be any Affection Value increase or decrease on Almira or Leon, so just pick the first choice. Now for this mission, you are here to protect these lightstands and you got tons of enemies coming. This is not that hard, just a bit time consuming. You have 4 lightstands in total, if all fails, pick one to guard til death. To know where the enemies are coming, be sure to use Right Stick to rotate the camera angles. When you do clear them all and before the platform shows up, be sure to not stand near the center. Because there is something that appears above your head. Rotate the camera angles or check above your head. There should be a Fragment Of Intelligence. Do grab it quick. If you were at the center then the Fragment Of Intelligence will show up there, right at where the platform is. That way, you won't be able to get it and if you want it, you will need to restart. Anyway, take the platform to get to the boss, Desperabilis. It can regenerates health, so don't go all crazy yet. Attack the head and 2 hands til they are all stunned. That way, you can get on its back and attack those 3 crystals. After you destroy all three, your focus is the head. Its breath attack can be avoided easily, and when you do stun the head, it will spit out enemies. Use them to charge the Tension Gauge, then of course, use Deathblow on the head. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Alright, we are here to clear all enemies. Clear the first set of enemies then move on. Clear more and continue along the path. Continue on to the big area, more enemies and be sure to get those eggs/shells like thingy to break the barriers. Next, this path should have more enemies and there will be rocks coming down. Use a Deathblow to break a rock for a Fragment Of Intelligence. Kill the enemy by the top of the path to continue on. Finally, boss time. It's Tentatores Maligenii again. Juju will run off but Leon will come back. This time, all three of you will be in Armor/Rex. Tentatores Maligenii is about the same as above, but few new attacks and more health. Get near to attack, avoid if you need to. It will have enemies, then just use them to charge up the Tension Gauge, and of course, use Deathblow on Tentatores Maligenii. After, you can now choose Almira or Leon as the Player Character in Story Mode, aside from Feel. Further, you are now able to transform, you know, with the Armor/Rex and everything. All you need to do is gather Blue Eteria to raise the OZ Gauge. However, Transform is only usable for boss fights. Tension Gauge is also now able to go up to Level 3, that allows you to use the Deathblow "Over Zenith". Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Clear the enemies in the first area. Notice these ghosts? You can't hit them but they can hit you. Just avoid them as much as you can. Moving on, clear more enemies then go north. Clear more enemies and take the warp point. Next area, clear more enemies then move on. More enemies and there are two warp points here, take the left one. Next area, clear the enemies to move on. Ok, we are looking for a fake wall and check the map to see something sticking up on the map, that could indicate an area that you can explore. Once you find this fake wall, go through it just like that and break the jar for the Fragment Of Intelligence. Clear the final set of enemies then take the warp point up. This time, you are fighting against Galumn. If your OZ Gauge is full, then your characters will have the Armor/Rex, fair enough against Galumn that has the Armor/Rex as well. Take your time and guard all the time. He will summon out enemies as well, use them to build up the Tension Gauge. Once you take down some of his health, try to avoid as much as you can against his attacks. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Clear the first set of enemies. After, as you can see on the map, there are 5 warp points you can take. Take the lower left one. As you might know already, there are enemies that are phantoms which you can't hit, so avoid them if you can. Anyway, in the next area, destroy the orb and clear the enemies. After, take the upper right path on the map. This leads to a jar that contains the Fragment Of Intelligence. The rest is just destroy the orb and clear the enemies. After, take the warp point back to the first area. The rest is just going into other 3 corner ones and repeat the similar things. When you do take them all out, you can go to the central one to the final area. Continue up and you will get to fight the boss, Criminatores. As usual, if your OZ Gauge is full, then you will have the Armor/Rex. Try to avoid its attacks since they are all pretty damaging. You can't damage it normally, and you need to attack that rock/shield at front. After, it will explodes the green sphere. Attack that will reduce its health. If you need to build up the Tension Gauge, use those parts to do so, then use the Deathblow on it. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Clear the first set of enemies here. Do remember you are slower in the water. Then continue on and clear each set of enemies. Next area, like wise, just kill the enemies. At the section before the boss, there should another golem like enemy and there should be 2 flying enemies around. One of those two flying enemies drop the Fragment Of Intelligence. Once you obtain it, clear the gloem and the enemies, then advance to the final area. The boss here is Vitis from before, but with Armor/Rex. Of course, if you have your OZ Gauge full, you will also have the Armor/Rex. He can hit hard, but this is still an easy fight. As usual, take care of the two enemies first and build up the Tension Gauge while you are at it, then Deathblow on Vitis. If anything, try not to stay in the water. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Alright, move on and destroy the orbs to decrease the water level. After that, clear the enemies then move on. Basically, repeat it again, then to the next area. You can go left or right. Let's go left to get to the next area faster. Next area, destroy the orbs and go down one level. As you destroying the orbs, you probably notice the jar in the center, down a water level. That actually contains the Fragment Of Intelligence and we have one chance to jump to it. So after you destroy the orbs, jump to the center then break that jar for the Fragment Of Intelligence. Jump down, clear the last set of enemies, then to the final area to fight the boss. As usual, if your OZ Gauge is full, then you will have Armor/Rex. It's protected by the water, so get those 4 spheres first then the boss itself. It will also send out enemies, so you can use them to build up the Tension Gauge in order to unleash Deathblow. Lots of its attacks can hit hard and they are hard to avoid as well, so don't stay too close unless you got some Deathblow to use. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Clear the enemies but stay away from that dark red sphere. Moving on, second section. There is a jar here that can be destroyed by Deathblow. It contains a Fragment Of Intelligence. The rest is just move on and clear enemies. There are all kinds enemies here and be sure to build up your OZ Gauge. When you came to the intersection, go with the middle path to get to the final area. The boss here is Nigredo. Of course, if you OZ Gauge is full, you will transform with the Armor/Rex. This is another battle where you will need to abuse Deathblow. Whenever you have it, use it. This boss has lots of health, so this will take a while. Of course, there are side enemies where you can build up your Tension Gauge. If you don't have any Deathblow, try to stay away from it. Nigredo can hit hard and the area range is pretty big. Just as you think this guy is slow because it's big, think again, it can jump, fly and teleport just like that. Try to log on and adjust the camera angle frequently to see where it's coming. Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 Alright, as you can see, there are tons of spider like enemies. You can knock them off the mountain or kill them, and hope to get some Blue Eteria to fill the OZ Gauge. Feel and Almira's Level 2 Combination Deathblow works wonderfully here against these loads of spiders. Continue on and clear more enemies. Next area, similar to above. Third area, clear the spiders and move on. Forth area, there is no more enemies. The second corpse to the left, you can destroy it to reveal the Fragment Of Intelligence. After, move on to the final area. You probably got the OZ Gauge full, so you get the Armor/Rex for your characters. Use the side enemies to build up the Tension Gauge, if you can build it up to Level 3, then log on and unleash "Over Zenith". It will do lots of damage on it. When it's flying, try to avoid. When it's on ground, go get it. Fragment Of Intelligence: None This is it, the final battle of the game. You will automatically transform with Armor/Rex. It has various attacks and lots of health. However, in terms of difficulty, it's easier. As for building up the Tension Gauge, use the spheres it summons out. The spheres can also shoot out laser, so be sure to destroy some, at least. The rest just takes time. After, sit back and enjoy this ending you got. At the end, the game will ask you to make a Clear Data save, do so. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Juju usable for EX Mode - Feel's Normal Outfit - Fragment Of Intelligence Unlockables (Depends on how many you have) - 3: Gallery, Character Arts - 5: Gallery, Title Gallery - 7: Gallery, Movie Gallery - 10: Gallery, Sound Gallery - 15: Fight By Using The 35th Platoon (Clear this to get the 19th Fragment Of Intelligence) - Hard Mode selectable in EX Mode and Story Mode(within Load Game) - New Items can be created, of course, by using Eteria ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As you should know this already, there are choices in the game that you could to increase the Affection Value of either Almira or Leon. The choices are said above, so I don't need to explain here. To view who has higher Affection Value, simply go into "Equip". Check on Almira or Leon. Normally, they have a regular standing pose like other characters, but if either one of them has a different pose, that character is probably having higher Affection Value at this point. A Partner with higher Affection Value can probably chain up your combo/pass more frequently. Aside from that, the one with higher Affection Value will be the one to show up first in Chapter 9. And of course, the one with lower Affection Value will join back later. Also, the choices probably affect whether you will get "Justice Muffler"(at the clear of the game) or not. Please check the "Justice Muffler" section below for a bit more detail. Last of all, about Juju and Galumn in Chapter 6. That actually decide few things. Whoever you beat in Chapter 6, will show up later and fight you. Whoever you didn't beat in Chapter 6, will show up to fight you in Chapter 7, but can join you for a while. And whoever join you is probably the one that will be unlocked for EX Mode by the game Clear. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For me, I obtain A Rank for all Chapters, all in Normal Mode. My Composite Ranking is A, as well. That gives me the "Dorothy Ending"(let's just call it that for now). As for the Bad Ending, try to obtain Rank C or D for all chapters, then so that your Composite Ranking is C or below. In fact, you will really need to do this til you cleared Chapter 18, that applies to all the endings as well. By Chapter 19, the title should be "Dorothy" if you got the Dorothy Ending. However, if you got the Bad Ending, it should be as below: Fragment Of Intelligence: None This time, your enemy is Dorothy. This isn't really much of a fight. You can just gang up on Dorothy and slash her to death. She won't do anything, maybe teleport once in a while. After, sit back and enjoy the Bad Ending. Do notice the game says "Bad End, Try Aagain!", LOL! There are 2 more endings, one is basically Dorothy Ending, but with the 20th Chapter and the other one is the Normal Ending. Normal Ending is just without the requirement for Dorothy Ending or the Bad Ending, so just maintain around Rank B, and the final/19th Chapter should be titled as "Last Moment's Prayer". As for the Best Ending(Dorothy Ending+20th Chapter), check the "Second&On Playthrough" section for more details. But when you do get it, it should be as this: Fragment Of Intelligence: 1 This time, you actually get to fight Atheus. Still quite similar to other boss battles, maybe just a little bit harder. There are lots of spiders around, so use them to build up your Tension Gauge, then use Deathblow on the boss. Don't get too close to that Atheus unless you need to. It can send out a claw to attack you, and if you are too close, it will just use its claw to smash you away. It can teleport away, so you are gonna run around a lot here. It is in mid air, and I prefer to use Feel+Almira's Combination Deathblow/Level 2. Do not get so eager though, because oftenly, when you are about to hit it, it will just teleport away and that wastes your Deathblow. It's better for you to lure it to attack, then jump near it, then unleash Feel+Almira's Combination Deathblow. After you beat it, of course, its second form. This one got lots of vitality as you can see. It is on ground this time, so it will be Feel+Leon's Combination Deathblow this time. Don't get so eager to build up the Tension Gauge then unleash the Deathblow, you will NEED to guard and avoid a lot here. Why? Because when Atheus actually hit you once, it will chain combo you to no end. That often deals tons of damage to you, so beware. Aside from that, it can also summon out the red ball you saw previously, to suck you in for more damage. If that's not enough, Atheus still got more attacks, like sending out a wave surrounding itself. This is probably one of the harder battles of the game. But with a bit patience, bit more careful and you should eventually beat it. If you want to do chain combo with your allies, jump up to attack instead of waiting on the ground when your ally passes you the 'ball'. Once you beat Atheus, that ends the game. One of your clear bonus should be another Fragment Of Intelligence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - In Chapter 1, same place as the Fragment Of Intelligence, but this time, it's the Gold Necklace - In Chapter 16, area before the boss, an enemy/golem here drops the True Silver Katabira - In Chapter 9, area just before you can end the chapter, the second white golem like enemy can drop the Ultra-Strength Bangle. Just besure to lure that golem and others away from the mouths because if those mouths bite off that golem, you won't get the Ultra-Strength Bangle. In that case, you will need to restart All these 3 things can be obtained within EX Mode, BTW. You will need to select Hard Mode, obviously. Aside from the 3 unique items above, there is actually one more. It doesn't matter which difficulty, but you must obtain it in Story Mode. To get this item that's called "Chicken's Cest", the Player Character(you)'s Killing Rate must be low(like 0%, 1%). That means the character you control should avoid killing any enemy and let the allies handle them. An easier mission for this would be Chapter 2, in Easy Mode. Just have Almira to kill them all and you would be get the Chicken's Crest at the Ranking Screen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basically, playing through Story Mode(within Load Game, not New Game) again. However, this time, aim for all B or C Rank, if you got all A Rank previously. I am going with all B or C Rank. As for the "In-Game Decisions", do the opposite of what you did last time. If you do that, you probably will notice the exchanges between Galumn and Juju as compared to your first playthrough, in various situations. Also, Leon will probably be the one to join first in Chapter 9 and Galumn will probably join in Chapter 9 as well. Of course, Almira will be the one to join back later. Upon clearing Chapter 16, you might get this ??? Chapter: ~Fragment: Cain This is basically a mission with the current OZ members. You control Vitis and of course, your partners are Juju and Galumn. You will all have Armor/Rex. Just continue along the path and clear enemies. That's about it. This really is a story segment. Upon clearing the game again, sadly enough, I got A for my Composite Ranking, once again. However, I did get the followings: - Galumn usable for EX Mode - Couple more new items can be created I played it another time, and got C for the Composite Ranking. Thus, that gets me the Bad Ending. My reward this time around is: - Inspiration Bangle Once again, I played it again and this time, mainly aim for Rank A or S for all Chapters. Also, for the 5 Gods: - Fire God (Chapter 12) - Earth God (Chapter 14) - Water God (Chapter 16) - Wind God (Chapter 18) - Supreme God (Chapter 19) For those battles, have your OZ Gauge full so you can enter the battle with the Armor/Rex. Finally, beat these bosses with Deathblow. Try to use Deathblow Level 2, just in case. In the end, you might get the 20th Chapter. Clear that and the rewards for me are: - Vitis usable for EX Mode - Cain usable for EX Mode - Fragment Of Intelligence (20th/final one) - Justice Muffler - Dorothy's Great Adventure (if the above Fragment Of Intelligence is your 20th one) - One new item can be created ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is another item you can obtain at the clear of the game. However, it seems to be affected by the choices. you need this item to get the other Fragment. It seems you need to equip that and clear Chapter 8 to trigger out this Fragment. For me, I picked all first choices in the game and obtain it at the end. So, when you do have it, equip it and clear Chapter 8 in Story Mode. You will get the other Fragment: ~Fragment: The God-Destroying Squadron, OZ Ranger (March! OZ Ranger! Protect The Children's Tomorrow!) Of course, this is a modern setting parody, poking fun on Power Ranger, ^_^! Don't be surprised that your characters go over that cheesy "Change!" line. You will be controlling OZ Lion(Leon), OZ Scarecrow(Almira) and OZ Tin(Feel). Anyway, just clear all the side enemies then the boss. That's about it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This will be unlocked, when you do obtain all/20 Fragments Of Intelligence. Basically, you will be playing as Dorothy with Toto as your partner through this little fictional parody written by Dorothy. ~Chapter 1 - Setting Off You will be fighting Scarecrow(Almira). Don't think this is hard though, Dorothy IS powerful. She can stun the scarecrow easily within couple hits. You shouldn't have any trouble beating the scarecrow. ~Chapter 2 - Inside The Forest Here, you have Toto as your partner. Do remember Dorothy can also do Deathblow Level 1 and 2. Both of them are also powerful. Anyway, continue on and clear enemies. As for the boss, it's Lion(Leon). Pretty much the same as he was in Story Mode, unless you pick Hard Mode, otherwise, this isn't hard at all. If you are in Hard Mode, Lion tends to rush a lot, just wait til the chance then hit him. ~Chapter 3 - Precious One Here, you are to break all these egg/shell like thingy. Just use the enemies to build up the Tension Gauge then use Deathblow. Once you go around and clear them all, on to the boss. This time, we got The Match Selling Girl(Juju). Same as in the Story Mode, so use the side enemies to build up the Tension Gauge then use Deathblow. Do remember you only got Toto, even though Dorothy alone is pretty strong. ~Chapter 4 - Pride And Courage Here, watch out for the spirits and avoid hitting them. Just continue on and clear enemies. As for the boss here, it's Wolf(Galumn). Once again, nothing you haven't tried in the Story Mode. The battle itself is similar to the one with The Match Selling Girl above. Just guard more often than attack. ~Chapter 5 - Get Angry, Honest One Clear the enemies and try to avoid getting in the water. As usual, clear the enemies and move onto the boss. The boss here is the Wizard(Vitis). You know what to do, it's always about that routine. Try to stay at the center area so you don't have to get in the water. ~Chapter 6 - Everyone's Prayer You should recognize this place, since it's where the final boss battle took place in the Best Ending. Here, you are fighting Evil God(Feel). If you have viewed the Bad Ending, you should recognize this evil looking Feel. Sadly enough, we are going to take down Feel, which also defeats the purpose of this adventure. Anyway, it's Atheus again. This isn't that easy with just Dorothy and Toto alone. Atheus still has insane amount of vitality, but do use the spiders to build up your Tension Gauge to level 2, then unleash that Combination Deathblow. It should take down a lot of vitality from Atheus. Repeat til he dies. After, enjoy the happy ending and that ends the adventure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you don't know what that is, that would be Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, L1 then finally, R1. First, pause your game with Start. Then input that command. If you did it right, then there should be a sound. Just remember to do this by the area before the boss. What this does is, it fills up your OZ Gauge fully instantly. However, you can only use this with each Power Off/On(or just Reset) of the PS2. Thus, you can't abuse it unless you Power Off/On(or just Reset) your PS2 like crazy. There is a counter command as well: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, R1 then finally, L1. Do this during pause as well, and you also get a sound. This empties your OZ Gauge and you can do it indefinitely without doing any Power Off/On(or just Reset) the PS2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Me - CJayC - Konami ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Document Copyright 2005 Kouli
