It’s been about 2 years since the original hit the arcades in October of 2002. There’s a lot to cover even before starting up the game, like the basics. Don’t worry because by the time I’m actually done with this FAQ, everything about this version of DDR will be explained. Until then, practice makes improvement so get on dancin’! =============================================================================== 2) How to play =============================================================================== Guess the introduction didn’t clue you in on how to play. Well here’s how it goes. On the screen there will be a set of arrows that scroll upwards. In addition, there’s a set of gray arrow outlines on the top of the screen. Now, here’s the dancing part. In order to score points and stay alive, the person playing must step on the same arrow on the metal pad in unison when the colorful arrow aligns with its gray outline counterpart. There’s a health gauge on the top of the screen, when your doing bad they will be a warning sign popping up in the background telling you so. If your health gauge empties out, it’s game over. If you happen to endure the entire song, it’s time to choose another stage. Keep on repeating this process until you hit game over or you finished your final stage. =============================================================================== 3) Game modes introductions =============================================================================== Now that you have open the box, plugged in your dance mat, and loaded up the screen, then you’re ready to play. There is a verity of different modes, whether you’re new to the game or a season veteran there are modes to suit your needs. Here’s a rundown of all the modes in the game done in their own cool section. =============================================================================== 3a) Normal modes =============================================================================== There will be 8 skill modes to choose from: Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy, Challenge, Nonstop, Challenge, and Edit. Nonstop, Challenge and Edit modes are to the left of the first song the game will highlight. I’ll talk more about them later. This leaves Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy, and Challenge Modes to be dealt with. Beginner is the starting block of all the new DDR players. In this mode, there will be a character dancing on screen on a metal pad just like you! When it’s the right time to step on an arrow, the character on the screen steps on it whether if stepped on the right arrow at the right time or not. It’s wise to notice the character and the arrows at the same time to understand the flow of the song. One cooler thing about Beginner Mode is the fact that you can’t fail on your first stage. In Light, Standard, and Heavy Modes, The dancing character is removed and replaced with colorful backgrounds and your responsible to pass the song on all stages to if you don’t want to fail causing a game over. Light Mode is a bit harder than Beginner Mode. Standard Mode is a bit harder than Light Mode. Finally, Heavy Mode is slightly harder than Standard Mode. Challenge Mode is only available to some songs, so don’t trip. Basically, it’s like this below: Hardest Easiest Heavy > Standard > Light > Beginner There’s also Doubles mode that I highly recommend to all the newbies of the game. Don’t be intimidated by the fact that you have two pads, think of it as more freedom of movement. You’ll soon find out tips that will would take a while for new singles player would take months to get used to including: -The importance of staying out of the center panel in between the arrows -Mobility in eye and feet reaction is greatly improving -Less chance of being intimidated by the same song on singles -some more stuff I can’t think of =============================================================================== 3b) Nonstop mode =============================================================================== Nonstop mode will be on the song select screen and is really noticeable. You got to be blind to not notice the green box saying NONSTOP. Here you play an already selected group of songs WITHOUT BREAKS in between songs. It’s pretty much an endurance test. The courses will feature two difficulty levels to choose from prior from doing the course itself. There’s the normal setting and the difficult setting that bumps the songs one or more difficulty higher. You can also activate some song modifications that I’ll talk about later. =============================================================================== 3c) Challenge mode =============================================================================== Challenge mode will also be on the song select screen. It’ll be to the left of the first highlighted song in a red box saying CHALLENGE. Here, you get another list of songs, some more or some less than Nonstop’s lists. Not only do you have to endure playing a list of songs nonstop, but it will also test your accuracy as well. Every time you get a GOOD, ALMOST, MISS, or a N.G. when you fail to step on the arrows at the right time, a portion of your life goes down. You get 4 portions to try to complete the song. When your dance gauge uses up all of it’s 4 portions, the game is over. If you pass a song with your gauge partially or completely full, you live to play another song immediately (no matter how many portions you miss, it’ll completely refill every song). In addition, song modifications are disabled. This is for the serious Accuracy Players. =============================================================================== 3d) Party mode =============================================================================== As the name suggests, these are games for parties. This is where people’s Eyetoy (sold separately) comes into play. Don’t worry, people who don’t have can still enjoy other mini-games as well. Upon selecting the screen, you are given the question, “Play with or without the Eyetoy (sold separately)?” Answer the question truthfully and move on. Remember that even if you do have an Eyetoy plugged in, you can still play the mini-games that don’t need the Eyetoy. Here’s a list of the games that you and a group of friends play: ~List soon to come~ =============================================================================== 3e) Mission mode (unlockable) =============================================================================== After unlocking this secret mode by passing 45 normal songs, it is accessible for play. You play portions of a song and try to complete a task within that time frame of play. It could be things that are straightforward like get x amount of Perfects, full combo this part or get this score. However, some missions are more annoying (especially past Mission 30) like full combo a song with the positions of the arrows mixed up, get x amount of perfects with break mod (opposite of boost where the arrows slows down a lot when it gets close to stepping time), or pass a song with Stealth on. Think you can go all the way? Details later in this FAQ. =============================================================================== 3f) Lesson mode =============================================================================== Are you new the Konami franchise? You’ve seen people play this game all the time but were too frightened to play this game, huh? Well, with the help of the DDR Dancers and a 3-class program, prepare to learn the basics. More later. =============================================================================== 3g) Training mode =============================================================================== Training mode has yet to change since DDRMAX Dance Dance Revolution. Basically, pick your song, difficulty, song mods and other things and you can play without fearing the feeling of disappointment when you fail halfway through a song. =============================================================================== 3h) Edit mode =============================================================================== Think the steps to some of the songs are bad? Now you can make your own and even transfer the date to other DDR console games? Plus, if the arcade got a machine, you can place those new steps and place them in public. It’s great for freestyle competitions. More on this later. =============================================================================== 3i) Workout mode =============================================================================== Was your excuse to your parents into buying this game something like, “This game can help me get fit!” Well, here’s a mode that will make do on that excuse. Be sure to be true to yourself and play on a dance mat. More on this later in the FAQ. =============================================================================== 3j) Endless mode (unlockable) =============================================================================== Endless mode is back with vengeance. With a slew of relatively hard songs and a tough gauge that’ll take off a big chunk for one miss, this is the most intimidating modes of DDR play that has ever be brought to the game. Here, you chose whether to play the entire songlist (or a loop, I don’t know) with or without song modifiers (discussed later). The songs will be played nonstop and have a break period every 5 songs to recover for as much time as you need. Just keep on dancing until you fail. Good luck! Notes: The break song is “So in Love” by Caramel S. however I don’t know the specific name of the mix. I’m guessing it’s a radio edit. Also, your dancing character changes after every break. =============================================================================== 4) Option =============================================================================== Here we have a quick rundown of all of the things that might effect your gameplay and other stuff. Sound Option: Alters the way the sound is presented in the game - Sound - Stereo (default) - Monaural - Dolby Pro Logic II - Voice - All (default) - Off - No booing - Timing (determines how off beat the arrows are to the track) - Ranges from –16 – 16 (zero is default) Controller Settings: Alters the way you play on a PS2 Controller - Double Play - On - Off (default) Save/Load: You want to load new data? - Save - Load - Auto Save - On - Off (default) - Edit Folder Load - On - Off (default) Game Options: Want to change the way you play? - Game Level - 1)Easiest - 2)Very easy - 3)Easy - 4)Medium (default) - 5)Medium hard - 6)Hard - 7)Very hard - 8)Hardest - Max Stages - Ranges between 1 – 5 (three is default) - Game Over - Arcade (default) - End of music - Event Mode - On - Off - Default Difficulty - Light (default) - Standard - Heavy - Nonstop - Beginner Graphic Options: Ewww...look at the background! - Danger Display - On (default) - Off - Movie - On (default) - Off - BG Brightness - Ranges from 25% – 100% going up by increments of 5% (80% is default) - Step Mark Colors - Type 1 (default) - Type 2 - Screen Adjustment - Upon selection, use the D-Pad to position the screen to desired location. - Flicker Free - On (default) - Off UPDATE: I don’t think there is a way to play doubles on one controller. You’re going to have to use two controllers in order to do it since there is no controller configuration like past titles. Or if you got two dance pads, it’s all good. In fact, I recommend that you learn doubles as soon as you can. =============================================================================== 5) Choosing a song =============================================================================== With the brand new layout of the American version, some of the trademark icons went away (The feet ratings and song radar). The only thing that’s left to hint how hard a song is, is this bland bar that is the same as the song-rate system. At least they show all the difficulty’s rating at once. This bar is highlighted differently depending on the song. A song with one portion of the bar highlighted is relatively easy while a song with all ten portions of the bar is insanely difficult (even for a 3-year pro like myself). Depending on your own personal skill, I suggest you figure out how good a player you are and go up a portion or two after a few weeks. Oh yeah, if you want to piss off friends watching you, don’t pick the same song over and over again. Try to switch a few around to add verity to your game. =============================================================================== 6) Song modifications =============================================================================== Now let’s choose the song. Just press the X button to play the song. HOLD THE PHONE! You might want to change the gameplay of the game using some song modifiers. To activate this nifty feature, hold the X or Circle button immediately after choosing the song. If the “code” is done right, a list of ways to change the way to play the song is presented. Here’s the breakdown on the stuff. Speed Mods (1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x, and 8x): This helps space out the arrows if they happen to be to close to tell (like “Your Rain (Page Mix)). Know the arrows will still hit the gray outline at the same time even without the speed mods. Boost: This affects the way your arrows scrolls. It starts out slow then around the 1/5th mark, it scrolls up faster. It’s really handy for songs like So Deep. On: Turns boost on Off: Turns boost off Appearance (Visible, Hidden, Sudden, and Stealth): This affects the way the arrows can be seen. Visible: The arrows can be seen normally Hidden: The arrows loses visibility around 2/3 of the way up screen. You better have some really good short-term memory to play this. Sudden: It’s the exact opposite of Hidden Mode. The arrows are hidden until 2/3 up the screen. You got to have some quick toes to play this. Stealth: The arrows will not show up completely so you better have the song memorized like your phone-number. Turn (Off, Left, Right, Mirror, and Shuffle): You want to reorganize the direction of the arrows? This is where you can do that. By the way, you can’t choose left and right in doubles mode. Off: This is the default step pattern Left: The steps will rotate to the left Right: The steps will rotate to the right Mirror: The steps are completely opposite of the default step patterns. Other (Off, Little, Flat, Solo, Dark): These are some other ways to affect the game. Off: Leaves the steps be. Little: It takes out all of the arrows except the 1/4 arrow. (Learn some basic music knowledge if you don’t know what a 1/4 note is) Flat: The colors of the arrows are all the same no matter the type of note. Doesn’t apply to freeze arrows. Solo: Changes the colors of the arrows to what was used in the DDR Solo machines. 1/4 beat steps are red/orange. 1/8 beat steps are blue. 1/16 beat steps are purple. Dark: The gray outline will be taken away so you got to guess when to step at the right time. Scroll (Standard, Reverse): What to control the direction the arrows scroll? Standard: Arrows scroll from the bottom to top Reverse: Arrows scroll from the top to bottom Freeze (On, Off): Don’t like freeze arrows? No problem. On: Keep the green freeze arrows Off: Turns the freeze arrows into normal arrows Step (Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy, Challenge): Want to change the difficulty of the steps? Beginner, Light, Standard, and Heavy: See Section 3a: Normal Game Modes Challenge: Some songs may only have this mode so it’s a gimme. Time to Begin! =============================================================================== 7) Song list =============================================================================== First off before I begin to list the songs, I believe it would be vital if you can understand how I list them. I will be listing the songs in the following format: Song: Tempo: Artist: Heavy # of steps: Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles x x x x x Doubles x x x x x Comments from DJ cream: Aside from my comments, everything is self-explanatory. My comments will be tips (on heavy/oni) or any other info I would know that the original info does not clear up. I will occasionally use terms to describe the song chart of the song that may not be clear. Here’s a glossary of them: Jumps: 2 arrows where you have to step on the same time Stream: A group of single arrow or jumps that are connected together in a chain of 1/4arrow, 1/8arrow, 1/4arrow for a significant amount of time Run: Same thing as a stream but with a 3 arrow chain Voltage Stream: Same thing with a Stream but there are 1/16arrows in between the 1/4 and 1/8arrows. Voltage Run: Same thing with a Run but there are 1/16arrows in between the 1/4 and 1/8arrows Gallop: Two arrows, in or out a chain of arrows that utilizes a 1/16th arrow after another arrow. The best way to nail them is to gallop like a horse Freeze: An arrow where you keep you hold you foot down to nail it clean. As for the label “Oni” that’s the arcade’s way of saying Challenge steps. Now that’s clear, here’s your songlist of DDR: Extreme USA! Song: .59 Tempo: 135 BPM Artist: dj TAKA Heavy # of steps: 275 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: “.59” was my first Heavy/Doubles song so I love this song. On singles, there’re gallops and voltage runs to be careful. Other than that, the song is pretty mellow. Song: 321STARS Tempo: 192 BPM Artist: DJ SIMON Heavy # of steps: 308 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 8 N/A Doubles N/A 4 7 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Dude this song is so fun to play and cute to watch. I can’t help but carelessly hop around while hitting the arrows. The arrows will follow the frantic beat and will occasionally follow the vocals as well. The patterns are mostly moderately high speed streams so get ready for that. Spinning TVs are so freaking cute with a song like this. Song: A Tempo: 93 - 191 BPM Artist: D.J. Amuro Heavy # of steps: 329 (Oni: 326) Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 2 4 6 8 9 Doubles N/A 4 6 8 9 Comments from DJ cream: Heavy – The song starts out nice and slow with runs as well as some voltage runs. After the freeze, things get twice as fast and soon runs will get your heart pumping. After a freeze arrow, it’s time to kick it up one more step with fast streams. By the time its all over, you’re heart will be racing. Challenge – Now if you think the first one is back enough, the extra difficulty of this song on challenge should send warning signals up. In the beginning, jumps will be included in runs...even after the music freeze! If that wasn’t enough, after the midway arrow freeze, everything after that is one giant stream! Now your heart will be pumping by the end of this one. Song: A Stupid Barber Tempo: 132 BPM Artist: Sho-T Heavy # of steps: 271 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 7 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: What a boring song. I was about to fall asleep by the time the song ended. Anyways aside from falling asleep and failing, there are Freezes that goes into a run into another freeze. Everything else is pretty much a short and easy stream. Song: ABSOLUTE Tempo: 144 BPM Artist: dj TAKA Heavy # of steps: 311 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 8 N/A Doubles N/A 3 5 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This is dj TAKA’s second cutest song I’ve heard from him. In the beginning, there are a few runs and voltage runs according to the beat, which is no biggie. The real biggie is the middle with streams and one huge complex stream. After that we got some more streams with voltage runs inside. At the end we have a slow down with a run, don’t go too fast or you might miss them. Song: B4U Tempo: 155 BPM Artist: NAOKI Heavy # of steps: 325 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 8 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This is another classic from NAOKI. In this one, there are gallops going into a stream. Other than that, stay focused with the streams and this will be a really easy 8 rating song. Song: B4U (B4 ZA BEAT MIX) Tempo: 170 BPM Artist: NAOKI Heavy # of steps: 243 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 7 Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 7 Comments from DJ cream: This song really pumps people’s blood. It has a great tune with a great step chart to boot. In the beginning, it takes a page out of the (K.O.G. Remix) book and puts arrows every time the vocals say, “Go! Go! Go!” Other than that, streams are there to watch out for. Song: Bad Routine Tempo: 130 BPM Artist: D.J. Sprugna Heavy # of steps: 207 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 3 6 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: The arrows are pretty good when it comes to flowing to the music (which is not too bad as everyone says it is). The thing that really pisses me off is the freezes where they end and another freeze starts a 1/8 beat afterwards. That may cause your other foot to lift up from another freeze and screw up a simple combo. Song: Believe Tempo: 136 BPM Artist: Eddie.J Heavy # of steps: 277 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 4 7 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This song is more or less a weak house tribute of Cher’s classic hit by the same name. I can’t really say that I like this song but it’s better than other’s in this game. The thing to be careful is that there’s a stream after a freeze using the same arrow so keep on your toes with that. Song: Bizarre Love Triangle Tempo: 119 BPM Artist: Jerry Heavy # of steps: 263 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 7 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Geez, I hate this song. The vocals are louder than the background beat, which the arrows follow by. Not only that doesn’t get confuse by the freezes and the jumps within the stream of arrows. Above all the rest, that song is just horrible, but a bit better than “Love This Feelin’” back in DDRMAX. Song: CAN’T STOP FALLIN’ IN LOVE (SPEED MIX) Tempo: 170 BPM Artist: NAOKI Heavy # of steps: 443 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 9 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 9 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This song will leave people with stamina problems on the ground at the end. It basically contains a lot of huge, fast-paced streams as well as a few very long multi-taps. Some of the streams have a common arrow so keep a foot on that one arrow and pivot your other foot to the other arrows. It keeps you from readjusting your footing, wasting valuable reaction time. Song: Diving Tempo: 140 BPM Artist: 4 Strings Heavy # of steps: 204 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 2 5 6 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This song is pretty straightforward. Nothing really to worry about except for small streams and freeze arrows. Song: Do Me (H.I.G.E.O Mix) Tempo: 130 BPM Artist: Mustache Man Heavy # of steps: 346 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 5 7 8 N/A Doubles N/A 4 7 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This song catches me by surprise a lot during the whole song. The arrows during the verses are really good. I thing that I keep on screwing up are the jumps in the middle of a stream and sometimes the gallops during a scratch portion of the song. Song: Don’t Clock Me Tempo: 124 BPM Artist: POPULA DEMAND feat. THE GET FRESH GIRLS Heavy # of steps: 206 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 4 6 N/A Doubles N/A 2 4 4 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This sounds a lot like Salt N’ Pepa, an all female rap group back in the early 90’s (my favorite era in music to be bias). Anyways, in the song, it had a steady beat. The only thing I see that’ll screw someone up is the jump streams with a 1/4jump into a 1/8jump are repeat the process for like 8 times in the beginning and twice in the end. Everything else is cake. Song: Drop Out Tempo: 260 BPM Artist: NW260 Heavy # of steps: 397 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 3 4 7 9 N/A Doubles N/A 5 7 9 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Say hello to the fastest cata in the game. Any one can hit the quarter arrows. Now the intimidating parts are the quarter jumps and the runs and streams at the end. The first set of quarter jumps is tricky because you got to respond quickly to where each foot goes where. The second set is easier since all the jumps have a down in them. Keep one foot on the down arrow and pivot your other foot to get the other arrow in the jump. As for the runs and streams at the end, don’t get intimidated out of your groove. By then, you should have been adjusted to the tempo. Song: DROP OUT (FROM THE NONSTOP MEGAMIX) Tempo: 130 BPM Artist: NW260 Heavy # of steps: 281 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 9 Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 9 Comments from DJ cream: This is not the fast “DROP OUT” as we know. Instead it’s slower and easy to complete...until you get to the voltage stream of doom!!! It’s one long stream that will jack up a lot of people if they don’t watch out. Survive that and it’s all good. Song: DROP THE BOMB Tempo: 150 BPM Artist: Scotty D. Heavy # of steps: 304 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 4 5 6 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This used to be my favorite song in Dance Dance Revolution for the PS1. Now that I played it about a gajillion times, its been bumped. Anyways, the beat can be heard even though the vocals and synth is very loud. Use that as your metronome to keep in beat. The streams are kinda tricky but nothing to worry about. The hard thing is at the end with the awkward voltage stream; however, it’s relatively short. Song: Ecstasy Tempo: 145 BPM Artist: d-complex Heavy # of steps: 276 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Ecstasy has a great beat and the arrows flows really nicely. There are a few runs here and there as well as a full on musical stop. The thing that’ll probably screw some people up is the end with the long stream. Stay focus and keep the beat fresh in your mind and it’ll be done in no time. Song: ECSTASY (midnight blue mix) Tempo: 145 BPM Artist: d-complex Heavy # of steps: 262 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 8 Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 8 Comments from DJ cream: So this is what you get when you put the bass on really high on the original “ECSTASY”. The arrows may take some really good timing to get used to because that lonely 1/16arrow can really throw people off. Other than that, there’s a few runs and at the end, some runs into jumps. Song: Firefly Tempo: 150 BPM Artist: Be for U Heavy # of steps: 301 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 1 5 7 N/A Doubles N/A 2 5 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This song is a bit tricky for a seven bar rating. At any rate, the arrows follow the beat and not the vocals. Pay attention to the loud quarter synth beat to keep in sync. The beginning has some double taps during a short freeze as well as gallops and voltage runs. Other than that, I seriously want a Be for U imported CD so bad. Song: Frozen Ray (for EXTREME) Tempo: 156 BPM Artist: dj TAKA Heavy # of steps: 395 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 9 N/A Doubles N/A 3 6 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: I have played this song so much in the arcades, I can literally pass this song with my eyes closed. Okay enough bragging, this is another classical inspired piece from fan favorite, dj TAKA. It happens to be one of the easiest 9 rating song you’ll play in this game as long as you know the right way to step on its stepchart. In the beginning, it gets you pumped with quarter beats then goes into some gallops. After about a few streams, there will be the tricky runs. If you’ve ever seen vets play this song in the arcade, what they do is spin while hitting all of these simple runs, that way they don’t have to adjust their footing. After that tricky run in the middle we have a few streams then a long stream. If you survive that long stream, it’s all gravy after that. Song: Funk Boogie Tempo: 127 BPM Artist: Funk Kid feat. KOOL BOYS Heavy # of steps: 219 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 1 4 6 N/A Doubles N/A 3 5 6 N/A Comments from DJ cream: I don’t know whether I like this song or hate it after playing this for the first time. Anyways, what threw me off a bit was figuring out what the arrows follow. If you think the Tenor Sax, then you’re wrong. Follow the disco style background beat and that’ll see your way through the easiness of its simple runs. Song: Go West Tempo: 120 BPM Artist: PET SHOP BOYS Heavy # of steps: 211 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 3 5 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: What a lame song. Come to think about it, any song about Manifest’s Destiny shouldn’t be in any video game at all. In addition the video background is not cool. They got some dudes that should have been in the “Whip It” video but ended up with a bunch of buff men in white spandex. Oh and the arrows are easy. Don’t worry about passing it. Song: HIGHER Tempo: 132 BPM Artist: NM feat. SUNNY Heavy # of steps: 246 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 3 5 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: To be honest, I was daydreaming the entire song. That means it’s pretty easy. Um, I love the melody? Song: HIGHER (next morning mix) Tempo: 132 BPM Artist: NM feat. SUNNY Heavy # of steps: 284 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 7 Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 7 Comments from DJ cream: This version of “HIGHER” has a louder vocal track and a beat that sounds more toned for today’s dancefloors. The song it self will use a lot of streams and a few uses of 1/16th arrows by themselves. The arrow flow switches from vocal to music flawlessly and occasionally so stay tuned to that. Song: HIGHS OFF U (Scorccio XY Mix) Tempo: 130 BPM Artist: 4 REEEL Heavy # of steps: 318 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 1 5 7 N/A Doubles N/A 2 5 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Club background video gets a fat 5 thumbs up from me >_>. Anyways, the song is pretty straightforward. Nothing to be scared off except a few voltage runs within’ a stream around the end of the song. Did I mention the background is cool? Song: i feel... Tempo: 141 BPM Artist: AKIRA YAMAOKA Heavy # of steps: 333 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 6 9 N/A Doubles N/A 2 5 9 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Akira Yamaoka, recently one of my favorite composer for the company. Other than doing one song for DDR, she has done the soundtrack to the Silent Hill games (original horror game made by Konami). The song flows according to the background music which may be hard to tell from other instruments or the vocals overshadowing it. There are a lot of gallops, runs and as well as some scattered uses of the 1/16th beat. This is a cata so be prepared. Song: I’M FOR REAL Tempo: 140 BPM Artist: SLAKE Heavy # of steps: 238 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 4 6 N/A Comments from DJ cream: What a mellow song. The arrows follow the vocals and occasionally will switch to the background music and back. Keeping a concise pace is key and there are a lot of freezes. Song: JANE JANA Tempo: 125 BPM Artist: T.E.M.P.O. feat. Mohammed & Emi Heavy # of steps: 303 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 5 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: I used to hate this song but it grows on you. I like the dancing cacti in the background in this Middle Eastern beat. Anyways, the song has a bunch of long streams but none are brain busters that’ll actually take a lot of time thinking. There are a bunch of double taps, gallops and jumps at the end of the stream. At the end, they arrows are going to focus on a single SFX so get ready to jump during the “Heh!” sound. Song: JET WORLD Tempo: 138 BPM Artist: Mutsuhiko Izumi Heavy # of steps: 315 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 5 8 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This is officially my favorite song on the default list on this game. How can I describe it? Alternative country? Anyways, the guitar rifts and the dancing background is super sweet. The arrows follows the steady beat of the awesome background music. It does have gallops and voltage runs in the chorus riff so get ready for that. There are also long streams up in there too. Song: KEEP ON MOVIN’ Tempo: 132 BPM Artist: N.M.R. Heavy # of steps: 183 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 5 6 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 7 N/A Comments from DJ cream: I love this song. It’s so mellow. The steps are pretty much a bunch of easy streams except for one in the middle that has a cross over in it. Other than that, this is a pretty soulful song to play on and mess around. Song: KICK THE CAN Tempo: 144 BPM Artist: BUS STOP Heavy # of steps: 313 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 3 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 6 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: Arguably the most overplayed song on DDR 4th Mix Plus hits home. Many people should of heard this song from somewhere like a Can Can dance show or some sketch comedy show (funny music = laughs) The arrows flows accordingly with the famous beat, follows the entire vocals, then back to the beat. If you listen closely, you can hear some drunk dude saying, “Lala, lalalalalalala...” Song: Kids in America Tempo: 159 BPM Artist: KIM WILDE Heavy # of steps: 325 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 3 7 8 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This is a classic along with classic video. I prefer “Living in America” from the arcade version, though. The streams, especially the ones with freezes, are simple once you take a moment and think. However, once you already thought about it, it’s blows by you with a MISS or ALMOST screwing up the tempo. I fell for it a lot. Song: La Senorita Tempo: 182 BPM Artist: CAPTAIN.T Heavy # of steps: 292 Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni Singles 2 4 6 7 N/A Doubles N/A 4 6 9 N/A Comments from DJ cream: This is traditional Mexican dance music at its finest form. It’s energetic and makes a good freestyler’s song. The song itself has a lot of runs, streams, and double taps. For those who are used to this sort of things at a fast rate should have no problems. There’s one part in the middle where there’s a jump into a long stream then end with another jump. It doesn’t look too hard on paper but the surprise value is through the roof. Song: LADIES’ NIGHT Tempo: 120 BPM Artist:
8-bit graphics look hot in this game...when the background is brightly lit. The
beginning where the trumpet was playing will confuse a few people. Remember,
two 1/16 arrows just next to each other is the same as two 1/4 arrows next to
each other. Then there are gallops to intimidate more. Other than that,
everything is really easy.

Song: Music (Bostik Radio Edit) Tempo: 138 BPM
Artist: Darude Heavy # of steps: 331

Comments from DJ cream: This is a great song by Darude; however, not as good as
“Sandstorm”. The beats change completely time to time but retains the same
tempo. Just adjust to the sound and stay focused. There are streams with
gallops at the end or freezes. Just stay calm on this one because it’s not
pumping enough energy.

Song: NEVER ENDING SOTRY (Power Club Vocal Mix) Tempo: 140 BPM

Comments from DJ cream: For a composer with the name “AC-DC” in her title, the
song is pretty soft. In the song will be a bunch of short streams, runs, short
streams with gallops in the end, and one huge stream in the middle. Um, okay,
next song.

Song: ON THE JAZZ Tempo: 130 BPM

Comments from DJ cream: This is THE example of how to do a jazz-fusion. There
should be more songs like this on CDs and stuff. Anyways, the arrows are driven
by the triangle instrumental most of the time. By the time the sax comes in
with the ambient house beat, there’s going to be a huge stream but nothing too
complex.

Song: ONLY YOU Tempo: 93 BPM

Comments from DJ cream: So this is what it would be like if Lou Bega was in the
movie “Soul Plane”. Okay, all jokes aside, this is one slow song. Most of the
song is a huge stream with a voltage run in the middle. It doesn’t take much
work to hit it clean due to the slow tempo. BTW, I really want a plane right
just like that one. It’s way better than getting crammed in coach.

Comments from DJ cream: 0_o; What exactly am I supposed to step to? The beat is
really choppy compared to the arrows. Well, just start tapping your toes to get
in sync and try to keep up. Some of the streams are a bit twisted so watch
yourself.

Song: PARANOiA MAX (DIRTY MIX) Tempo: 190 BPM

Comments from DJ cream: Aside from being kind of fast, there’s a huge complex
stream a bit past the halfway mark. That’s where all the major screw-ups will
probably be. Other than that, it’s really refreshing to hear this mix again.

Song: PEACE-OUT Tempo: 133 BPM

Comments from DJ cream: Nothing really hard here. All you got is a bunch of
slow runs. In the middle, however, there’s a part where a synth comes in and
does a offbeat array of sounds and you got to jump correctly on all of them. If
not, try again. This should be an easy A.

Comments from DJ cream: I loved this song when it was on Keyboard Mania and I
still do. The arrows are dictated by the instrumental so make sure to listen
closely because there are a lot of 1/16 arrows that are NOT in gallops. Oh
yeah, there are a lot of jumps in this song.

Comments from DJ cream: I seriously wanted to bust out breakdancin’ if the song
was a lot more faster. Anyways, there’re streams in this song that will end
with a freeze and that freeze will also start another stream. Basically, watch
out when you freezes.

Comments from DJ cream: Not a bad song for a horny master (please don’t let
that be a TOS violation). Anyways, the thing to worry about is the off-tempo
synths that will cause runs, gallops, and off-tempo jumps. Just get ready for
that while I apologize to CjayC...nah.

Comments from DJ cream: My favorite techno DJ has made an appearance in DDR. BT
is really cool in music games (check out Amplitude); he just makes them more
enjoyable. This song has arguably the best use of freeze steps in any song in
the game. They blend in with BT’s track so well as they help transitions stream
into stream into stream. Other than that, don’t get washed away in his
greatness that you completely daydream and fail.

Comments from DJ cream: Honestly, I have avoided this song in the arcades just
because it’s from Duran Duran. Now that I’ve actually played the song for this
FAQ, it’s pretty good. It’s not like I’m going to buy their album though.
Anyways, this is a tricky song. There’s a bunch of small gallops in streams in
the beginning. As the song continues, you’ll notice a lot of voltage runs.
Don’t be scared and use the slightly slow tempo of the song to calm down. How
did KONAMI scrap up enough money for this 80’s band?

Comments from DJ cream: Don’t this song make you want to kick someone’s head
off? Neither does me, but it’s very close though. This song features a lot of
long streams along with jumps within those streams. There are a bunch of turn
streams as well as gallops in those streams so watch out of those if you’re not
used to them.

Comments from DJ cream: Okay, this is the song that draws the legends from the
amateurs. It’s so hard on Heavy, I’m still considered an amateur. Anyways, from
the start you’ll notice the unbearable speed of the song. If that doesn’t kill
you instantly, the quarter gallops to jump to runs a couple seconds later may
do you in. After that some more runs to jumps may do it. If you survive that,
there’s the long freeze (and the 600 BPM) then slow it down. Now after the
freeze, here’s the traditional runs that could kill then the fast streams that
will do in most of the survivors. This is really hard for all of you’ll who
don’t know. (BTW, I finished this song on controller)

Comments from DJ cream: Vets like me would have played this song so many times,
they can perform plastic surgery and still pass this song. Okay, that’s really
filler for, “Once again I was day dreaming”. Either way, I can still say that
there are a bunch of runs and complex but short streams.

Comments from DJ cream: I like this TRIP MACHINE. It got that emergency feeling
of someone having a heart attack or something. Anyways, there are some tricky
things to watch out for from the song with the red font. In the beginning, they
borrowed a trick from “Healing Vision (Angelic Mix)” and have the first arrow
go really slowly then kick into gear after it. After some tricky streams and
voltage runs, we find ourselves in the middle freeze where it looks really
short but they put a stop around the end of that freeze, catching us by
surprise and removing our foot from the arrow screwing up that freeze. Then
some more tricky streams and gallops then we are done.

Singles 1 3 6 9 N/A
Doubles N/A 4 7 9 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: I seriously want that instrument that is being played
throughout this song. It sounds nice. Okay, this song tests your ability to do
streams, gallops, and voltage runs. If you can’t do that then you’ll have a
hard time. Another hindrance is during what appears to be gallop then jump.
That’s really not a jump. It’s really a 1/4beat then a 1/32beat. The last test
in this song is jump into voltage run into another jump. That will screw up
your combo really fast if you don’t nail it.

Song: TSUGARU (APPLE MIX) Tempo: 165 BPM
Artist: RevenG vs. DE-SIRE Heavy # of steps: 353
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 9
Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 8
Comments from DJ cream: I like this version of TSUGARU better. It’s way more
upbeat. Anyways, the beginning warms you up to the beat then kicks it into a
bunch of streams leading into a much bigger stream. After that, it goes into a
gallop-fest for quite a while then back into streams. With its upbeat tempo,
don’t get faked by its slow down towards the end.

Song: V (for EXTREME) Tempo: 150 BPM
Artist: TAKA Heavy # of steps: 365 (Oni: 448)
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 4 6 8 9
Doubles N/A 3 5 8 9
Comments from DJ cream: Okay, I’ll just cut to the chase. The beginning of the
heavy version gets you ready with quarter beats like “Frozen Ray (for EXTREME)”
does. After warming up, it starts throwing runs into the jumps. Then there will
be gallops into streams. This all happens in the first 30 seconds! After a
freeze, prepare to do a long, complicated stream during a piano solo. When the
violins kicks in again, there’s going to be a voltage run into stream into
freeze then continues the process. This is such a workout.
Challenge: Okay, this is arguably the hardest 9 rating song in this game. It
starts off getting you pumped like on heavy then you notice that there are more
gallops into streams along with jumps in there. Next thing you know there’re
voltage runs then jumps to wake you up. Now, after the freeze say hello to the
hardness. After a few voltage runs into stream, the violins go nuts and we have
numerous voltage streams in a stream it self! Most of it can be done with fancy
footwork using a pivot technique and going with it. By the time the piano kicks
in, the voltage stream will stop for now and we are left with a stream and a
few gallops to start them. When the violin kicks up one more time, so does the
voltage. Don’t screw up the end!

Song: WAITING FOR TONIGHT Tempo: 125 BPM
Artist: P.A.T Heavy # of steps: 295
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 4 5 7 N/A
Doubles N/A 3 6 8 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: This is the only J-lo song I actually loved and Konami
screwed it up. Geez. Anyways, there are simple streams going into freezes and
occasional voltage runs. Blah, blah, blah. I don’t like this song so let’s move
on. Cool that rhymed.

Song: WILD RUSH Tempo: 80 – 180 BPM
Artist: FACTOR-X Heavy # of steps: 247
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 2 4 5 6 N/A
Doubles N/A 4 6 8 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: This song will noticeably change tempos gradually
during the song. The beginning will be having 2 really slow voltage stream.
That second one is tricky because the last arrow is delayed 1/16th beat. The
portion will have run ending with a gallop, then all 1/8 arrows, then short
streams, average step on arrows, then finally a long but not-so complex stream.

Song: WILD RUSH (FROM THE NONSTOP MEGAMIX) Tempo: 125 BPM
Artist: FACTOR-X Challenge # of steps: 207
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles N/A N/A N/A N/A 7
Doubles N/A N/A N/A N/A 8
Comments from DJ cream: This version of “WILD RUSH” is not really a rush at
all. It’s kind of like what “WILD RUSH” would be without the tempo changes and
adding freeze arrows. There are easy streams and gallops to nail so it’s not
really a challenge.

Song: WONDERLAND (UKS MIX) Tempo: 128 BPM
Artist: X-TREME Heavy # of steps: 267
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 5 5 8 N/A
Doubles N/A 5 6 7 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: Most of this song is a huge stream with a common arrow
every other step. I suggest, you keep a foot on that common arrow and pivot
your other foot around to hit the other arrows.

Song: Y.M.C.A. Tempo: 130 BPM
Artist: VILLAGE PEOPLE Heavy # of steps: 260
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 4 6 7 N/A
Doubles N/A 2 6 7 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: This is such a fun song. I kept on doing the arm
gestures during the song. Haha...I have no future. Okay, the hard part is this
time with there’s a short freeze and you got to double tap into another double
tap freeze for like two more times into one last jump. It’s like “Waka Laka”
with freezes. When you can do that AND wave your arms doing the YMCA, then
you’re so cool. *thumbs up*

Song: You’re Not Here Tempo: 70 – 138 BPM
Artist: Heather Heavy # of steps: 331
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 4 6 8 N/A
Doubles N/A 4 6 8 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: This is my favorite song in the entire game. “You’re
Not Here” was the theme to Silent Hill 3 and it rocked. As a final fact, Akira
Yamaoka (from “i feel...”) is going by the alias of Heather (main character of
SH3) in this song. As for the song it self, the beginning screws with people.
They’ll get used to tapping the up button that they’ll forget to hold the left
or right and screws up their balance and what not. In the middle, stream into
freeze into stream, repeat. Then at the end, stream with occasional triple
taps, into gallops, repeat until slow down end.

Song: Your Rain (Rage Mix) Tempo: 84 BPM
Artist: Akira Yamaoka feat. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn Heavy # of steps: 202
Mode Beginner Light Standard Heavy Oni
Singles 1 3 4 6 N/A
Doubles N/A 2 5 7 N/A
Comments from DJ cream: I actually missed a full combo because the background
distracted me. It’s a great movie and the digital skin-popping out of nowhere
is pretty cool. As for the song, everything is pretty easy due to the very slow
speed of the song. About mid-way, they insert jumps as part of a stream that
could cause some problems along with the attention grabbing BGM.

===============================================================================
10) Mission mode lists
===============================================================================

After playing a total of 45 songs in a normal game mode, you will unlock
Mission Mode. Here you complete an objective within a given portion of a song.
There are a total of 100 missions, can you complete all of them? If you’re
having trouble, like I am, here’s a guide to all of the missions and a quick
tip.

Mission 1 – If your Dance Gauge runs out then it’s game over!
Song: ONLY YOU – Light
Difficulty – *
Tip: If you can pass the 8th chapter in the first step of Lesson Mode, you can
finish this song. This song is so easy; it’s scary!

Mission 2 – If your Dance Gauge runs out then it’s game over!
Song: Simply Being Loved “Somnambulist” - Light
Difficulty – *
Tips: This song is easy to. To add a bit of difficulty (as well as practice)
this is a good stage to practice the pivot method where you keep one foot on
one panel and rotate your other foot around to hit all the other arrows. I’d
put my stationary foot on the down panel on this one.

Mission 3 – Clear with more than 3,500,000 points
Song: DO ME (H.I.G.E.O MIX) - Light
Difficulty – *
Tips: This is a challenge to get up to a certain score as well as surviving.
Try hitting all the arrows perfectly. This is also a good stage to practice
your butterfly turns to add a bit of flare into your game. For instructions,
check out Lesson Mode, Step #, Chapter #.

Mission 4 – Get the following results more than 20 times in total: PERFECT,
GREAT.
Song: THEME FROM ENTER THE DRAGON (notorious mix) – Light, Left
Difficulty – *
Tips: Don’t let neither the Left song modifier nor the objective to fake you
out. Left doesn’t really matter. As for the objective, you can get any
combination of Perfects and Greats as long as they equal 20 of them. 15
Perfects & 5 Greats, 1 Perfect & 19 Greats, etc...would work just fine.

Mission 5 – If your Dance Gauge runs out then it’s game over!
Song: GO WEST
Difficulty – *
Tips: The Dance Gauge will start out about a quarter full which is too much for
veteran players. For those who are already used to not going back to the
center, this should be a piece of cake.

Mission 6 – Don’t get the following results more than 3 times in total: ALMOST,
BOO.
Song: Scorching Moon
Difficulty - *
Tips: The portion of the song is pretty short so it won’t take long. The steps
are pivot steps where the common arrow switches from the down arrow and
eventually will become the up arrow. Try to time your steps to the beat if you
haven’t done so far.

Mission 7 – Get more than 20 PERFECT results.
Song – You’re Not Here
Difficulty - *
Tips: Here you’re given the first sixth of the song to get 20 PERFECTS out of
42 steps. Try to time your steps to the faint drumbeat in the background
because every arrow is every hit of the drum. If the short break screws with
your timing, feel free to keep your feet tapping and step on an imaginary
arrow. Remember, hitting the wrong arrows only penalizes you, not hitting
arrows when they are not there.

Mission 8 – Clear the song with a Letter Grade of AAA, AA, A or B.
Song – Music (Bostik Radio Edit)
Difficulty - *
Tips: Here you play the last third of the song with a LITTLE mod on. The trick
is to hit as many arrows as you can. With that tactic, you’ll at least score a
B. If you full combo it, then you’ll at least end up with an A. I got 12 greats
on my first try and still got an A so I’m guessing that a AA is between 1-10
greats. If you want to get fancy, there are a lot of butterfly spin
opportunities and it’ll go backwards on you after a spin or end with a jump.

Mission 9 – Get O.K. on all freeze arrows.
Song – I’m For Real
Difficulty – *
Tips: Here, just focus on mainly on the freeze arrows. There are 19 of them in
this section and you must at least make an attempt and hold them to earn an OK.
Make sure to hit the other arrows too to keep the Dance Gauge up so you won’t
fail the song.

Mission 10 – Don’t get the following results more than 3 times in total:
ALMOST, BOO.
Song- Like a Virgin
Difficulty – **
Tips: Here’s you play a little less than the first half of the song. The catch
is that DARK mod is on and you do see the arrows on the top where you’re
supposed to step on the arrows. DON’T FREAK OUT! You should know when to step
on the arrows so play like it! Try not to screw up too badly because like in
baseball, you got 3 strikes before you’re out. If you’re having trouble, try
tapping to keep the rhythm going.

Mission 11 – Don’t step on any arrows simultaneously.
Song – Kick the Can
Difficulty - *
Tips: Here’s the first mission where you’re supposed to suck at a song.
Compulsive arrow steppers should be the only have a hard time. Try to resist
the urge to hit those jumps! Instead, nail all of the runs to keep your Dance
Gauge full. Don’t get freaked out when the failing warnings begin showing up
because that’ll happen no matter how good you step on those runs.

Mission 12 – Don’t get the following results more than 3 times in total:
ALMOST, BOO.
Song – Wonderland (UKS MIX)
Difficulty - **
Tips: OMG! THE ARROWS ARE GOING DOWN! WHAT DO I DO?!?! First, relax. Just
remember that the arrows didn’t change position and you’ll be fine. Some people
like myself gets confused with the up and down arrows so get used to them on
reverse and don’t screw up badly.

Mission 13 – Play so that the Dance Gauge is below 10% when you finish.
Song - .59
Difficulty - **
Tips: If I were playing, I’ll miss a few arrows on purpose to keep the gauge
down. By the time the song is almost done and it slows down, if the gauge is
red and barely anything is showing, you’ve done good at sucking.

Mission 14 – Get N.G. on all freeze arrows.
Song – Peace Out
Difficulty - **
Tips: Here, there are 28 freeze arrows and you got to step on them but release
your foot before the whole freeze registers. On the freeze arrows that lasts
for a quarter note, you got to step on and step off otherwise it’ll register
and you’ll fail. The neat thing is that you don’t have to step on any other
arrow so you can just stand around and only step on the freezes. DO NOT
PURPOSELY MISS A FREEZE ARROW; YOU’LL FAIL THE MISSION!!!

Mission 15 – Don’t get the following results more than 3 times in total:
ALMOST, BOO.
Song – The Reflex
Difficulty - **
Tips: This song has the HIDDEN mod on and that will cause the arrows to
disappear halfway up the screen and you still got to nail them right. What I
did is the foot tapping technique that way I can tell that those arrows are
going to reach the top. It also helps to memorize what position the arrow is in
before it disappears.

~More to come...duh~

NEW SONG INFORMATION #21 - _>)

September 30, 2004: Version .25
-I’m finally done with the entire songlist as well as my comments on the songs.
Let’s see, the other major modes to tackle are Nonstop, Challenge, Mission,
Edit, and Endless...crap. I’m probably going to be completely done in a month
or more. I also copy and pasted my text art from my DDR: Extreme (arcade) FAQ
to here to make it look cool. >_> As for today, I’m done. Time to pop in some
Street Fighter. As a personal note for myself, I’ve played about 225 songs by
now.

September 27, 2004: Version .21
-It’s Monday and I’m just playing for fun while getting a few things down. I’m
up to “TSUGARU (APPLE MIX)” so I’ll get the songlist completed first before
anything else. I feel like taking a nap so that’ll be all for today.

September 26, 2004: Version .2
-It’s a Sunday, which means I’m goin’ to be swamped with homework. To get me in
the groove of typing out essays I might as well do another update. I added a
section for those lovable cel-shaded dancing heroes because they deserve their
own space. Okay really, the process of unlocking them is inconsistent so I’ll
just put them there for now. I’m thinking about writing 10-20 missions an
update once I figure out the layout of how to present them. I think the time
frame of the song is going to be the hardest to get down, due to some of them
are frwekin’ hard. Other than that, I filled in some doubles ratings and added
a few new songs.

September 25, 2004: Version .11
-I added the song list of the initial Nonstop and Challenge Mode courses, re-
wrote the intros to sections 3d and 3e, and finally added Song info on “CAN’T
STOP FALLIN’ IN LOVE (SPEED MIX). I’ll try to add on to song list. What
confuses me is the Character Unlock system. I use a controller file for writing
this FAQ and my real feet file for everyday play. The characters I unlock in
both files are inconsistent. Maybe the get unlocked randomly every 15 songs or
so?

September 24, 2004: Version .1
-I’m finally done with the initial songlist along with all the secret songs
that I managed to unlock along the way. I still got a lot to cover along with
getting my main computer to get on the Internet due to a computer bug I got
yesterday after uploading the lame first draft (I’m transferring this file on a
floppy to another computer just to input this stuff to GameFAQs). I’ll start on
getting the initial Nonstop and Challenge Mode Courses next time.

September 23, 2004: Version .001
-Oh yeah, I’m back with another DDR Game to help the masses. I pretty much did
an explaination of all the topics to be covered. I’ll try my best to get
everything filled out as quickly as I can since DDR: Extreme US was just
released 3 days ago.
