I have no idea what bearing this has on the game itself though. Hearts - A maximum of eight. When this reaches zero, you lose the game. Use medicine to fill this up. You lose hearts by getting caught, either by the police or by a trap. Note: Your Dark/Daisuke meter is affected by the decisions you make when talking to other characters. If there is no decision to be made in a conversation, any changes to the meter will be towards balancing it (still under testing). The only other way to change the meter is by getting Risa/Riku pictures in a mission. I'll be basing all alterations in the meter from Daisuke's point of view, since it changes in accordance to Darks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Objects ------- Sparkling areas - Indicates the location of an item, an area of interest, or a trap. Risa pictures - Adds to Dark's percentage Riku pictures - Adds to Daisuke's percentage Medicine - Increase your hearts by a number indicated in the description In the game, you may get some messages with numbers on them though there is no sparkle. I'm guessing that those fill up the Extras menu. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Obstacles --------- Getting caught in a trap seems to make your Daisuke/Dark meter become more balanced Police - As long as you don't pass through their line of sight, which expands like a cone from them, you'll be fine. They're mainly idiots, and don't even respond when a creaking door opens behind them. And Inspector Saehara wonders why they can't catch Dark? In later missions, some gain the ability to turn, and even walk. No matter, you can run past them when they're facing somewhere else. Floor trap - A trap on the floor that opens up, making Dark fall. A meter with five circles, and a red light passing through wil appear. You have to press 'O' when the red light reaches the middle. Moving laser traps - These require some patience. Just wait for the laser to move up, then go past it when the line on the floor turns green. In later missions, you'll have to start a little before the line on the floor turns green. Shock(?) traps - These don't really have any visuals, but when you step on them, you are given a certain button combination to follow. Finish it in a before the time ends and you'll be safe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Missions -------- Introductory Mission -------------------- We start with Krad saying some things in Japanese. Then we come to a museum, where it seems Dark wants to steal the Kurenai no Tsubasa. ======================================== Introductory Mission -------------------- Target: The Kurenai no Tsubasa ----------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | | B | / / D | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |--/-------------| |-----------/---| / A / / E | |----------------| |---/-------/---| | | | | | | | | | | | | | F | | | | C | | | ----------------------------------------------------- You start at A. Pull the lever by pressing 'O' next to it's sparkle. There's also a picture of Riku somewhere on the floor, also locatable by it's sparkle. In B, there's some medicine on the table. Use it to instantly fill up your heart meter. Go to C. There are some police there, but it's not too much trouble to go past them, into room D. At D, there are some moving laser traps. Just wait for the beams to go up, and move forward as soon as the line on the floor becomes green. At the end of the room, Dark will automatically deactivate the traps by pressing the control panel at the back of the room. From there, go E, and then F. Your target, the Kurenai no Tsubasa, is in the middle of the room. However, trying to take it straight away leads to a trap. Just follow the button combinations given if you do get trapped. In the upper-left corner of the room, go to the panel and press B, then A. I'm not sure if this is the proper sequence or anything, but it works for me. ======================================== Just as we're about to take the Kurenai no Tsubasa, Krad appears. Something happens, which seems to break it up into fragments. One of these fragments is picked up by the lovely Risa, who happens to be near the fountain at the museum, probably awaiting a chance to catch a glimpse of Dark. And she does, as he waves while flying past her. In the museum, we see Hiwatari talking with his father. ======================================== Mission 1: Risa --------------- Day 1 ----- Daisuke awakens, and Wiz comes to his side. After talking to Wiz for a while, Daisuke goes down to the living room, where Emiko, Kosuke, and Daiki are watching the news. At school, our good morning wish is interrupted by the three Dark fangirls. We talk with Riku first, who seems to be complaining about the fangirls (and her younger sister's) chatter of Dark. Saehara asks you about the news, and you get to make your first conversation choice - pick the top one to make Daisuke's meter go down. Hiwatari talks to you for a while, followed by Riku. Saehara comes and Riku complains. Your meter will become more balanced. Then, your homeroom teacher enters. After class finishes, Dark wakes up and talks with Daisuke for a while. ======================================== *Chibi mode* Teacher - Top decision, Daisuke's meter goes down - Bottom decision, Daisuke's meter goes up Risa - No decision to be made, meter gets more balanced Saehara - No impact on meter ======================================== After school, we talk to Risa. No difference in the meter. At home, we talk to Towa for a while, then Daisuke enters his room and talks to Dark. ======================================== Day 2 ----- Daisuke is awakened by Emiko. After talking to her, we go down to see Risa appearing in the TV. I'm guessing that she offers to get caught by Dark or something. At school, we talk to Risa, then Saehara comes. ======================================== *Chibi mode* Teacher - She's carying a stack of paper - Top decision (offer to help?), Daisuke's meter goes down, and we get to witness how weak he is, carrying paper - Bottom decision (choose not to help?), Daisuke's meter goes up, but the poor teacher has to bear with her staggering load Riku - Top decision, Daisuke's meter goes up Saehara - Top decision, Daisuke's meter goes down, and you get a lovely mess of pictures of both the Harada sisters - Bottom decision, Daisuke's meter goes up. You don't get to see those lovely pictures though. ======================================== After school, you meet Riku, where your meter becomes slightly more balanced. You'll have to make a decision - choose the top one (possibly a 'yes' to a query) for Daisuke's meter to go down, or the bottom one to raise Daisuke's meter. Choosing the top one will allow you to get a scene with Dark and Riku *Chibi & Dialogue Mode Guide Ends Here* ======================================== Mission 1 -------------------- Target: For some reason, the lovely Harada Risa Note: Maps may not necessarily be drawn with a correct scale, and should be used more as reference. From there, go left to A and go down the stairs to the ground floor (now dubbed 1F). From the stairs, try to get to point Z from the stairs without entering the house. At some point, you'll stop as Dark says something. From here, use the stairs to go up to the 1st floor (from now on dubbed 2F). Using the outer corridor, enter L. From there, walk to F and look at the door to D. Press the circle button while your cursor is on the keypad to the right of the door, and Dark will mention something. Go to I and go down the stairs to 1F. You'll end up at T, where you can get a picture of Risa on the floor, near Y. Go to U, and pick up the medicine on the tables. There should be two, one that refills one heart, and another that refills two. To see the number of hearts that a medicine can refill, check the number listed in it's description, in the menu. There should be a stove at the right side of the room. Check it, and a policeman appears. You are given 5 minutes. Just continue pressing circle at the piece of paper on the upper left side of the screen until you're given a yes/no decision. Take it, as you'll always need anything you can get. From there, go back to D. You'll be able to open the door. Inside D, there's a Risa photo. You can also check the last computer. There should be some kind of coloured tag. Continue checking it until you're able to take it. Now you have the 1F pass. Use the stairs on the right (going through L) to go down to 1F. From there, enter V, then X. Right, here there's a painting called the Angel's Arch. Look at the four colours, which from left should be red, yellow, green, and blue. Mentally label these I, II, III and IV in that order. Alright, now on to the pillars. On each pillar, there should be some device containing some kind of keypad. Pillars III and IV should be here, and press the colour that that corresponds to the number on the picture. If this is too much for you, just press the colour that's the same as the keypad's colour. Go to 2F, and use the corridor to get to the other side of the floor. From there, go down the stairs and enter Q. First, enter R and do the Angel's Arch pillars I and II. Then, go to O and check the table for a picture of Riku, and to search for a pass. It looks like the 1F pass, but it's in a different colour. Taking it, you have received the 2F pass. Now, go up to 2F and open to door to F. You can have chat with Risa by trying to open H. Solve the moving line trap on E, and take two red hearts from the statues at the end of the room. Do the same at J, where you'll get a green key. Enter K, and pull the lever. Note: You can't pull the lever unless you've solved the Angel's Arch puzzle. The 1F traps are now disabled. Now, go down to W. There's a statue here, and keep looking at it's necklace. Sooner or later, Dark will exchange the gold heart with the red one. Then, go to P, which opens with the green key. There's an odd square on the bottom-left side of the screen, and examining it will let you go to the other side of the room. Check the middle statue for a purple key. Go to S. there, examine the heart in the middle of the statue's palm. Dark will put the red heart in it, opening a secret door from S to Y. Grab the green pass from Y. Go up to K. Examine the box, then unlock it using the purple key. Get the silver heart key from the box. Go to N, which you'll unlock using the green key. Check the hippo statue for a gold heart key on it's tongue. Grab it, and the two statues next to the door will block off your exit. No worries, just pull down the menu and use the silver heart key you got from K. This will replace the original gold key, and allows the two statues to split. Now, you can enter H. Here, Risa runs lovingly towards Dark, and steps on a trap. You then get a glimpse of Daisuke's blue haired lover. Go to 1F. The green pass lets you unlock the large double doors at the end, marked //. Just continue up until you see Daisuke's beloved Hiwatari. Talk with him, and you've ended your mission. Though I don't appreciate the way he's holding my Risa in his hands, I hope he lay her down kindly near the fountain, and didn't just drop her in his rush to embrace Daisuke. ======================================== Note about other missions: Mission 2: Saehara - The maps for mission 2 is gonna be hell to draw, having towers and all. I've completed it, but I have no real idea what I did. Mission 3: Riku - Mission 3 is in the Harada mansion. I wouldn't mind being there at night with one of the twins, though neither one of the Harada twins are there in the game. I can't solve a puzzle involving paintings in one of the rooms on the ground floor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update History -------------- v 0.21 (4 Dec 2003) - Did introduction, ToC, Introductory Mission, Control, Menu Explanation, Display, Objects, Obstacles, and Mission 1. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Other info ---------- The most up to date version of this FAQ can be found at: GameFAQs - www.gamefaqs.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Thanks -------------- CJayC -For hosting this FAQ on his excellent website, Gamefaqs. £?uiS?
