1. LEVEL 11 WEAPON UNLOCKING

General Requirements:
* Must be playing on 達人 Expert Difficulty.
* Character must already have Lv10 weapon.
* Must clear the stage receiving an "S" rank.
* Character must be playing in own 列伝モード Retsuden Mode stage, unless
otherwise noted.
* All Lv11 weapons have +60 Attack Strength.

劉備玄徳 Liu Bei Xuan De
Weapon :
蜀王 Shu Ruler
Added Items :
玄武甲 Black Turtle Shell (Defense) Lv19

Method :
Defeat all enemy generals.
Do not allow enemy generals to retreat and return to the battlefield for
more than 4 times.
Avoid the 劉備 Liu Bei killing innocent soldiers cutscene by not killing
enemy soldiers.
All in under 10 minutes.
Learned 蜀王 Shu Ruler message.
Muni Comment :
If enemy generals retreat and return to the battlefield for more than 4
times, the weapon will not unlock.
The most enemy soldiers you can kill before the cutscene is triggered I've
noticed seems to be somewhere between 15 to 18. So kill less than that.
I suggest not equipping the 真空書 Vacuum Book (attack radius increase), I
found I was able to avoid enemy soldiers better without the added attack
radius.
Overall, other than the not killing enemy soldiers part, this weapon wasn't
too difficult to unlock.
Just defeating the 5 enemy generals alone would give you 100 points,
guaranteeing an "S" rank, so there's no need to worry about that.

Keep damage to the horse carriage to a minimum.
Defeat 于禁 Yu Jin.
Defeat 楽進 Yue Jin.
Defeat 李典 Li Dian.
Achieve 200 KO Count.
Learned 神龍偃月刀 God Dragon Block Moon Falchion message.
Muni Comment :
The first priority is to protect the horse carriage. As much as possible,
stay beside the horse carriage at all times.
You can defeat 于禁 Yu Jin, 楽進 Yue Jin, and 李典 Li Dian the 1st time they
appear to attack the castle, or the 2nd time they appear together with
ambush troops.
If you defeat an enemy general, that enemy general will not appear later
together with their respective ambush troops.
It doesn't matter either way, but the advantage of defeating at least one of
them the 1st time they appear is that 関羽 Guan Yu can take their horse and
move around much faster the remainder of the battle.
It is acceptable for the "馬車危険 Horse Carriage In Danger" message to
appear 3 times. But if the message appears for the 4th time, the weapon is
lost.

Do not let any enemies pass through the 長坂橋 Chang Ban Bridge.
Defeat all enemy generals that come to the 長坂橋 Chang Ban Bridge.
Defeat 曹操 Cao Cao when he comes to the 長坂橋 Chang Ban Bridge.
Learned 破国蛇矛 Break Kingdom Snake Lance message.
Muni Comment :
It is acceptable if one team of enemy soldiers pass through the 長坂橋 Chang
Ban Bridge.
Maybe it's just me, but I felt that if you bring a horse with you, and leave
it parked sideways across the entrance of the 長坂橋 Chang Ban Bridge, it
kind of blocks the way for the enemy soldiers. It won't stop them
completely, but it does seem to slow them down.

趙雲子龍 Zhao Yun Zi Long

Find the decorated wooden box containing 阿斗 Ah Do (random) in under 2
minutes.
Defeat all enemy generals.
Achieve 200 KO Count.
趙雲 Zhao Yun and 劉備 Liu Bei both reach the bottom right 長坂橋 Chang Ban
Bridge.
All in under 13 minutes 30 seconds.
Learned 逆鱗 Reverse Scales message.
Muni Comment :
I strongly suggest playing the game at least once before trying for the
weapon, mostly to get an idea of where the decorated wooden boxes appear in
the castle. Even though which decorated wooden box contains 阿斗 Ah Do is
random, where the decorated wooden boxes appear in the castle are always the
same. So knowing their locations beforehand will help in your search for 阿
斗 Ah Do. Because the 2 minute time limit is not plenty of time.
Saving the game after finding 阿斗 Ah Do is also recommended.
Defeat 曹仁 Cao Ren and 徐晃 Xu Huang to open the North castle gate.
Defeat 許チョ Xu Chu, 夏侯惇 Xiahou Dun, 夏侯淵 Xiahou Yuan, 于禁 Yu Jin,
and 楽進 Yue Jin to make 劉備 Liu Bei start retreating from the battlefield.
It is acceptable if 許チョ Xu Chu, 夏侯惇 Xiahou Dun, 夏侯淵 Xiahou Yuan, 于
禁 Yu Jin, and 楽進 Yue Jin are defeated by allies and not by the player.

馬超孟起 Ma Chao Meng Qi

Method :
Achieve at least 500 KO Count.
Receive 馬超 Ma Chao is taking the lead (優勢) message over 5 times.
Finish the stage achieving twice the KO Count as the ally general in the
second place.
Learned 双龍尖 Twin Dragon Spear message.
Muni Comment :
499 KO Count is an "A" rank.
500 KO Count and above can be an "S" rank.
But just achieving 500 KO Count won't unlock the weapon.
Immediately after game start, head to the bottom fort and fight in front of
the bottom enemy entry point, just far away enough from the entry point
captain that you don't attract him to you so that you won't have to fight
and defeat him. Enemy soldiers will come to you by themselves. Keep fighting
here and achieve twice as many KOs as the ally general in the second place.
Be mindful of the KO Count reports of your fellow ally 五虎将 Five Tiger
Generals.
The 1st time I tried to unlock this weapon:
馬超 Ma Chao = 683 KO Count.
張飛 Zhang Fei = 450 KO Count report.
I didn't unlock the weapon.
The 2nd time:
馬超 Ma Chao = 772 KO Count.
関羽 Guan Yu = 400 KO Count report.
I didn't unlock the weapon.
The 3rd time:
馬超 Ma Chao = 484 KO Count.
黄忠 Huang Zhong = 250 KO Count report.
I didn't unlock the weapon.
The 4th time:
馬超 Ma Chao = 561 KO Count.
黄忠 Huang Zhong = 250 KO Count report.
I unlocked the weapon, but didn't save because I did not understand fully
and wanted to do some more testing.
Then after some more tests, when I was almost certain of the conclusion that
getting twice the KO Count as the ally general in the second place will
unlock the weapon, this result broke the rule:
馬超 Ma Chao = 928 KO Count.
関羽 Guan Yu = 450 KO Count report (2 seconds before the end of stage).
I did not unlock the weapon.
So I did some re-thinking, and started taking notice of the who's taking the
lead (優勢) messages. So I started counting.
Test 1:
馬超優勢 Ma Chao in the lead = 8 times (734 KO Count).
趙雲優勢 Zhao Yun in the lead = 0 times (250 KO Count).
関羽優勢 Guan Yu in the lead = 2 times (200 KO Count).
I got the weapon.
Test 2:
馬超優勢 Ma Chao in the lead = 6 times (585 KO Count).
関羽優勢 Guan Yu in the lead = 1 time (250 KO Count).
I got the weapon.
Test 3:
張飛 Zhang Fei won.
Test 4:
馬超優勢 Ma Chao in the lead = 4 times (775 KO Count).
関羽優勢 Guan Yu in the lead = 1 time (300 KO Count).
I did not get the weapon.
Test 5:
馬超優勢 Ma Chao in the lead = 5 times (585 KO Count).
趙雲優勢 Zhao Yun in the lead = 1 time (250 KO Count).
I got the weapon.
Taking all the above test results into consideration, I arrived at my
conclusion.

Achieve 100 KO Count.
Learned 黄仙秘刀 Huang Wizard Secret Knife message.
Method 2 :
Shoot 関羽 Guan Yu off his horse before he challenges at the castle wall
(approximately 30 seconds into stage).
Defeat 3 of 周倉 Zhou Cang, 関平 Guan Ping, 趙雲 Zhao Yun, and 張飛 Zhang
Fei.
Achieve 200 KO Count.
Learned 黄仙秘刀 Huang Wizard Secret Knife message.
Muni Comment :
Right after the stage starts, go to 黄忠 Huang Zhong's front right castle
edge where the rocks are missing for a better view of the area outside the
castle.
Press the R2 button to switch the screen top right map into a zoomed in map,
so you can see 関羽 Guan Yu faster when he appears.
After defeating an enemy general, take his horse to run around faster.
After defeating 周倉 Zhou Cang and 関平 Guan Ping, there should be a
Precious Item Report, the 浄炎火矢 Cleansed Flame Fire Arrow.
Other than having to shoot 関羽 Guan Yu off his horse from such a long
distance with such a short time limit, this weapon was pretty easy to
unlock.

魏延文長 Wei Yan Wen Chang

Defeat 夏侯威 Xiahou Wei.
Defeat 夏侯惠 Xiahou Hui.
Defeat 夏侯和 Xiahou He.
In any order.
After 諸葛亮 Zhuge Liang orders the all out attack on 魏延 Wei Yan
(approximately 2:30 into stage).
Defeat all 蜀 Shu generals and sub-general as they appear (馬岱 Ma Dai, 関興
Guan Xing, 王平 Wang Ping, 張苞 Zhang Bao, 姜維 Jiang Wei).
Encounter 諸葛亮 Zhuge Liang.
Achieve 200 KO Count.
Learned 陰牙陽刀 Ying Tooth Yang Knife message.
Muni Comment :
Method 1 is a pain to pull off, I definitely do not recommend it unless you
are confident of your skills fighting with 魏延 Wei Yan.
Method 2 is simple enough.
With method 2, if you did not defeat 王平 Wang Ping, just increase the KO
Count to 300 and you will still unlock the weapon.

黄月英 Huang Yue Ying

Defeat the 五虎将 Five Tiger Generals (関羽 Guan Yu, 張飛 Zhang Fei, 趙雲
Zhao Yun, 黄忠 Huang Zhong, 馬超 Ma Chao).
Keep all or most Tiger Tanks safe.
Learned 浮月 Floating Moon message.
Muni Comment :
Do not move too ahead of the tiger tanks, because enemy 工作兵 attack troops
will appear and attack the tiger tanks if you are too far away, and
sometimes close up gates behind you and block you from them, preventing you
from going back to rescue them.
Move slowly, this is a 60 minute stage, and a weapon that doesn't have a
time limit to unlock. So just walk alongside the tiger tanks and move with
the same pace as them.
It is acceptable to lose 2 tiger tanks, not more.

姜維伯約 Jiang Wei Buo Yue

Method :
Defeat all 4 playable enemy generals plus 1 of the 2 generic enemy generals.
Keep eliminating 劉禅 Liu Shan's destination enemy entry points to stop him
from retreating for 8‾9 minutes.
All the while keeping 劉禅 Liu Shan's HP at approximately more than half.
Learned 四聖一閃 Four Saints One Flash message.
Muni Comment :
In simpler terms, just defeat 曹仁 Cao Ren, 張コウ Zhang He, 許チョ Xu Chu,
徐晃 Xu Huang, plus either [登卩]艾 Deng Ai or 鍾会 Zhong Hui.
And keep eliminating for 8‾9 minutes the constantly reviving enemy entry
points that 劉禅 Liu Shan is headed towards to surrender.
Also, if 劉禅 Liu Shan's HP reaches approximately less than half, and says "
誰かわしを助ける者はおらんのか？ (Isn't there anyone who can rescue me?)",
the weapon is lost.
A chance trick is to bring your strongest bodyguard team into the battle,
and leave them right where one of the entry point captains will reappear, if
you're lucky they can buy you some extra time by lowering the entry point
captain's HP a little before you reach him, or if you're very lucky, defeat
that entry point captain for you. But since this is 達人 Expert Difficulty
after all, don't count on that.

Succeed in all of ホウ統 Pang Tong's 軍略 battle strategies.
Without defeating any of the enemy bomb tossing soldiers.
Achieve 450 KO Count.
Learned 鳳凰杖 Phoenix Staff message.
Muni Comment :
Eliminate the top left and bottom left enemy entry points.
Defeat 月英 Yue Ying and take over the 虎戦車 Tiger Tanks.
To the North and South of the castle are 連弩 Consecutive Arrows, defeat the
respective 守備兵長 Guard Troop Captains to take over the 連弩 Consecutive
Arrows.
Be careful not to defeat any of the bomb tossing soldiers nearby, otherwise
ホウ統 Pang Tong's 評価 respectability will decrease, and the weapon will be
lost.
At map right center is one more 守備兵長 Guard Troop Captain, defeat him and
take over the 雲梯 Cloud Ladders.
Defeating the bomb tossing soldier nearby here is acceptable.
Protect the 雲梯 Cloud Ladders, ensure at least 1 of the 2 sets up on the
castle wall.
Pang Tong's respectability increased greatly message.
Encounter 諸葛亮 Zhuge Liang.
Achieve 450 KO Count.

Muni Comment :
I suggest saving in between each 快勝 Excellent Victories.
You should receive a Precious Item Report together with the weapon learned
message, the 背水護符 No Retreat Protective Spell.
Not guide related, but I have to say, this is a fun stage.

関羽 Guan Yu lets 曹操 Cao Cao go cutscene.
Achieve 200 KO Count.
Learned 魏王 Wei Ruler message.
Muni Comment :
If 張飛 Zhang Fei is not defeated within approximately 10 minutes, ally
back-up troops will appear.
If ally generals are in trouble and calling for help, you must help them
first, because if ally generals are defeated, ally back-up troops will
appear ahead of time.
関羽 Guan Yu will appear after all 4 蜀 Shu generals are defeated.
After the 関羽 Guan Yu lets 曹操 Cao Cao go cutscene, just don't go to the
escape point. Instead, hang around and fight enemy soldiers until you reach
200 KO Count, and the weapon is yours.

夏侯惇元譲 Xiahou Dun Yuan Rang

Learned 滅尽麒麟牙 Destroy Completely Kirin Tooth message.
Muni Comment :
A commonly made mistake is to exit the water path before going all the way
North. If you go up the stairs on the left side, that would not be all the
way North. The correct exit is the stairs on the right side at the North end
of the water path.
It seems after 曹性 Cao Xing reappears, you only need to encounter him to
get the weapon, but I defeated him anyway.

Prevent the "本陣守備部隊減少 Ally base guard troop decreased" message.

Learned 戦鬼金剛棒 Battle Demon Gold Steel Bat message.
Muni Comment :
It is acceptable if ally base (map left) is infiltrated by enemies, just as
long as the "本陣守備部隊減少 Ally base guard troop decreased" message
doesn't appear.
For that message to appear, 4 enemy teams can reach the ally base. On the
5th team, the message will appear.
The time of 夏侯惇 Xiahou Dun's ally back-up troops' appearance is dependant
on how many enemies reach the ally base (map left). The more enemies reach
the ally base, the earlier 夏侯惇 Xiahou Dun will appear.
This weapon can be unlocked easily using 2 players. The KO Count is the
combined number between the 2 players.

Muni Comment :
I strongly suggest eliminating all the enemy arrow soldiers first, because
not only are they a nuisance, they are also lethal.
Always defeat the constantly reappearing entry point captains first, they
give you much needed temporary in-game items.
Saving after receiving the weapon learned message is recommended, because it

Here's a step by step sequence.

You should receive a Precious Item Report together with the weapon learned

Defeating the enemy generals' 輸送隊長 Supply Troop Captains (after
defeating the respective enemy generals) is not necessary for unlocking the
weapon, but is nevertheless recommended.
It is acceptable if enemies start 略奪 pillaging. It is only unacceptable
when the message tells you that 農地被害拡大 farmland damage has spread.
The "add 10 more KO Counts" thing is only conjecture based on my various
tests. There might be a limit to how many messages could appear before the
weapon is lost, but I never tested the limits. So just keep the message
appearances to a minimum and hope for the best. Or just keep them from
appearing altogether.

長 Guard Troop Captains when you need to venture far away from the castle
gate.

Niu Jing automatically. It is acceptable if you defeat one of the two before
meeting with 牛金 Niu Jing.
After meeting with 牛金 Niu Jing, there will be a Precious Item Report, the
護衛心得 Bodyguard Learned Lesson.
The 250 KO Count seems to be the minimum required for unlocking the weapon.
If 牛金 Niu Jing loses more HP, or if the battle took longer time, the KO
Count will also have to be higher to compensate for the less than acceptable
performance.
I suggest equipping the 鼓舞太鼓 Morale Drum if you have it, it does help.

翔 Gao Xiang, 王平 Wang Ping, 月英 Yue Ying, 廖化 Liao Hua, 張翼 Zhang Yi,
馬岱 Ma Dai, 簡雍 Jian Yong, and 姜維 Jiang Wei. Defeat any 9 of them.
王平 Wang Ping's ambush troops will appear after you go up the map right
path.
月英 Yue Ying will appear after you deplete 諸葛亮 Zhuge Liang's HP to
approximately less than half.
If 司馬懿 Sima Yi reaches the end of the map top right path, he will
successfully escape from the battlefield and end the stage. Do not make the
mistake of doing so before you get the weapon, like I accidentally did the
first time I played the stage, which was also the first time I tried to
unlock this weapon.

The map right enemy entry point will appear together with 呂布 Lu Bu.
An enemy entry point will appear on the top side of the map center castle
after you defeat 華雄 Hua Xiong and 胡軫 Hu Xin. It is acceptable to ignore
this enemy entry point.
If you defeated 呂布 Lu Bu in under 2 minutes, you will receive a Precious
Item Report, the 孫子兵法 Sun Tzu's Book of War.
If you pass through the map center castle (meaning go in the right gate and
go out the left gate) without first defeating 華雄 Hua Xiong and 胡軫 Hu
Xin, the map left ally castle (長沙城 Chang Sha Castle) will open its gates
immediately. Which is not what you want if you are trying to unlock this
weapon.
I suggest equipping the 絶影鐙 Matchless Shadow Saddle, and then wait for 呂
布 Lu Bu to appear at the beginning of the stage first and take his 赤兎 Red
Hare. This way you'll have the best ride of all, a 赤兎 Red Hare you won't
fall off of.

After game start, immediately run toward the gate at the center, staying
close to the left wall.
When you reach the small alcove right below the gate, a message will appear
saying that the Guard Troop has heard some noises. Immediately run to the
right wall.
When the Guard Troop leaves the gate to investigate the noise, run pass the
gate, still keeping close to the right wall.
Run directly across to the left edge along the water and continue upwards,
avoiding 凌統 Ling Tong.
It is acceptable to be seen by the Entry Point soldiers, their discovery of
you doesn't count.
Move past 凌統 Ling Tong when he's far away and continue upwards still
keeping close to the left edge.
At the turn of the land, go into arrow aiming view and watch the Guard Troop
in front of that last gate, they will move forward just as 呂蒙 Lu Meng is
returning and coming close to you.
After they've run a distance, head for that last gate.
It is acceptable if you are seen right after passing the gate.
Run past 甘寧 Gan Ning and sprint onto the 魏船 Wei Ship.
If 甘寧 Gan Ning discovers you at the last second, it is still good.
You should get the weapon learned message at stage end, with a clear time of
around 2:30 ‾ 2:40.
I tested, 3:30 is the limit for unlocking the weapon. 3:31 is no good.
I strongly suggest trying the stage out in an easier difficulty first to get
a feel of the layout of the stage before attempting to unlock the weapon.

Muni Comment :
趙雲 Zhao Yun will appear if you open the West gate (defeat 徐盛 Xu Sheng
and 丁奉 Ding Feng) without 200 KO Count, making you lose the weapon.
周泰 Zhou Tai will start to run toward the map bottom left boat after 将欽
Jiang Qin is defeated, or after 周泰 Zhou Tai's HP is approximately halfway
depleted. So defeat 周泰 Zhou Tai first and quickly to prevent him from
doing so.
There's no need to hurry when trying to unlock this weapon, everything can
be done casually. Just fight alongside 劉備 Liu Bei and advance slowly to
make sure he's safe.
Even the discovery messages of the female soldiers are triggered manually
and not with time.
The uniting with the 1st female soldier is automatic.
After you pass the first castle gate, the 2nd female soldier discovered
message will appear.
After you pass where the 2nd female soldier is, the 3rd female soldier
discovered message will appear.
After you pass the West gate, the 4th female soldier discovered message will
appear.
They're all manually triggered.
So after game start, just stay close to 劉備 Liu Bei.
Unite with the 1st female soldier in the castle, eliminate the top right
entry point first to have an easier time.
Defeat 程普 Cheng Pu and 潘璋 Pan Zhang and open the castle bottom gate.
Go down the map right path and unite with the 2nd female soldier in the
middle of that path.
Defeat the gate captain and go down to the South of the huge pit and unite
with the 3rd female soldier.
Go up the left path and defeat 徐盛 Xu Sheng and 丁奉 Ding Feng, opening the
West gate behind them, making sure to have 200 KO Count already so 趙雲 Zhao
Yun won't appear.
Run all the way to the top left corner of the map and unite with the 4th and
last female soldier.
Defeat 将欽 Jiang Qin and 周泰 Zhou Tai.
Escort 劉備 Liu Bei down to the map bottom left retreat boat and the weapon

Just a mention, to clear the stage you need to defeat the correct enemy
entry point captain to find the route of retreat. The correct one is said to
be random, but of the 8 times I played, the exit had always been the bottom
entry point. So maybe that is the one?

appearances is not as difficult as it sounds, but it's still pretty risky,
so I suggest saving in between each one just to be on the safe side.
As it turns out, getting the weapon isn't the hard part, the hard part is
completing the stage. The 2 remaining 食客 Guest Generals are very difficult
to catch up to. So it is definitely recommended that you save the game after
receiving the weapon message as well.
I recommend defeating the 食客 Guest General at the center of the map first,
then the one at the top right. Right after the 孫策 Sun Ce event, turn
around and run directly to the map center 食客 Guest General, do not waste
any time fighting enemy soldiers along the way, just keep jumping past them,
there is barely enough time.

5. TIPS & TRICKS & FUN FACTOIDS



[Changing Difficulty Mid-Game]
Here's what to do:
1. Start a game on 達人 Expert difficulty.
2. Save mid-game.
3. Change the game difficulty to 入門 Novice.
4. Do not re-start the saved mid-game.
5. Start a new game.
6. Soft reset in-game (Select+Start).
7. Re-start the saved mid-game.
This is a convenient trick for unlocking Lv11 weapons.
* Ever since I posted this trick, I was questioned by many about whether I
got my weapons this way.
Well, I have gotten almost all 47 weapons once already before this trick was
discovered, so the answer would have to be no.
But with the many tests I decided to do on each character's Lv11 weapons
since I decided to make a guide for it, I must admit I did perform some of
the tests using this trick. With so many theories and possible scenarios to
test out, the 達人 Expert difficulty is simply too time consuming, and time
is the one thing I just don't have at the moment.
So yes, when I tested the unlocking methods for the Lv11 weapons, I did use
this cheat when the battle is too tough.
But no, I have never gotten a weapon personally using this cheat.
With the SSM series, I have never used any cheats, even though I did
discover some cheats first, and help develop PAR codes for a couple of the
games. But that's just for the information. I have completed all the games
in the SSM series fully, and I have never once used any of the cheats I
discovered to do so.

[Playing 修羅 Shura Mode Without Deleting the Previous Save Data]
You need 2 memory cards for this trick.
After playing, select "途中セーブ Mid-game Save" and make a mid-game save on
MemoryCard1.
In the main menu, select "再開 Reload Saved Game" from MemoryCard1.
After it loads, the game will ask if it is okay to overwrite the existing
save data.
Take out MemoryCard1 and insert MemoryCard2.
Overwrite onto MemoryCard2.
This way the previous save data will be kept safe.
Repeat after each mission accomplished if desired.

[Does Item Level Overlap with Lv11 Weapon's Attached Item Level?]
Yes, they do, but with limitations.
These items add up to a maximum of Lv20 and stops:
朱雀翼 Red Sparrow Wing (HP Gage Up)
青龍胆 Blue Dragon Gut (Musou Gage Up)
白虎牙 White Tiger Tooth (Attack Up)
玄武甲 Black Turtle Shell (Defense Up)
活丹 Alive Pill (Musou Gage Increase Up)
仙丹 Fairy Pill (Charge Attack Up)
These items add up exceeding the Lv20 limit:
黄忠弓 Huang Zhong Bow (Arrow Attack Up)

However, with Arrow Defense and Ride Defense, if the level goes too high it
risks overflowing, resulting in buggy one-hit-kills. So be aware of that.

Ren, 典韋 Dian Wei) before 曹操 Cao Cao appears for the 4th time, they will
re-appear for you to defeat for a 2nd time.
Then there's 夏侯淵 Xiahou Yuan that appears together with 曹操 Cao Cao's
5th appearance. Plus the 5 times you need to defeat 曹操 Cao Cao.
That's a total of 14 enemy generals to defeat in one stage.

[Best Stage for Attack Strength Growth?]
小喬伝 Legend of Xiao Qiao - 銅雀台脱出戦 Tong Que Tower Escape Battle.
If you defeat the 4 generals (夏侯惇 Xiahou Dun, 許チョ Xu Chu, 曹仁 Cao
Ren, 典韋 Dian Wei) before 曹操 Cao Cao appears for the 4th time, they will
re-appear for you to defeat for a 2nd time.
Then there's 夏侯淵 Xiahou Yuan that appears together with 曹操 Cao Cao's
5th appearance. Plus the 5 times you need to defeat 曹操 Cao Cao.
That's Attack+8 Swords x 9 enemy generals.
That's on 難しい Hard Difficulty or higher of course.

[Best Stage for Defense Strength Growth?]

Defeat the 6 十常侍 Shi Chang Shi eunuchs.
Defeat enemy back-up general 袁紹 Yuan Shao.
That's Defense+4 Shields x 6 enemy generals, and Defense+8 Shield x 1 enemy

[Extra HP Growth?]
Remember the 猛将 valiant generals that appear randomly in the original
Musou and Free modes?
They are still around in Musou and Free modes if you load the original SSM3
disk.
And the good news is that their appearance possibilities are raised.
How is that good news?
That's good news because now when you defeat these 猛将 valiant generals,
they drop HP growth 点心 Dim Sum items. So if you get the 点心 Dim Sum
already in the stage, and also defeat a 猛将 valiant general, you will grow
your character's HP by twice the usual amount.

[A Trick To Not Lose Duels]
During a duel, stand against the border fence, and aim your arrow towards
the outside of the duel area.
You will never get attacked in this condition.
Useful when you are about to lose a duel.

[Added Feature to the Edit Mode...]
In the Kanji List, a new word is added, the word [女咼]. (The real Chinese
word for "Nu Wa").
It's in the 特殊漢字 Special Kanji List, 2nd row from the top and 3rd column
from the right.
Could this be the much anticipated "new added feature to the Edit Mode"?
Also notice, the name of the Lv10 Weapon for the Thin Sword Edit Character
has also been changed, from the "女禍の細剣 (Nu Huo's Thin Sword)" in the
original to the "女[女咼]の細剣 (Nu Wa's Thin Sword)".

[The Last Movie?]
To unlock the last movie in the Movie Gallery, complete the 列伝 Legend
Modes of all the characters.
It is a staff roll movie.
At the same time, the 46th song in the Sound Test will also be unlocked.

[Song 33?]
The 33rd song in the Sound Test will be unlocked after you load the original
SSM3 disk once.

[Method to Prevent Game Crash During Opening Edit Movie Sequence]
It's been reported that some early model Playstation2 consoles will crash
during the opening edit movie sequence (mine for one). To remedy this,
before you start the game, use the PS2 console to load a music CD first.
Then put in the SSM3 disk and load the game, and the crash problem should be
fixed.
Once you turn off the PS2 console and turn it on again, the problem will be
there again. Repeat the music CD solution each time you turn on the PS2
console.
