It was one of the earliest releases for the console. It isn't a game of great depth (there are only seven missions plus three time attack courses) but it is unique on the PS2 in terms of its gameplay. When replaying games, I find myself drawn to those which may not be classics but are at least not simply clones of other games. I'm thinking of titles like City Crisis, Stuntman, SOS: The Final Escape and MDK2. Plus I've always liked flying games of one form or another, not the over-complicated flight sims but titles like Ace Combat: Squadron Leader and the Star Wars fighter games on PS2 and Colony Wars and B-Movie on the PS1. Although the game is now five years old, I saw there was no guide on GameFAQs, so I decided to create this one to fill the gap. If you've any comments to make, you can e-mail me at richardsixone@yahoo.co.uk B) GENERAL PLAYING TIPS 1) Flying Controls: There are many possible controller set-ups you can use by going into option but the default works fine. Controlling the helicopter takes a little getting used to. There is an auto-hovering option that stops the helicopter once you release all the controls, rather than having it wander everywhere. Having this feature on is the default and you're better off keeping it that way. The left analog stick moves you forwards, backwards, left and right. The right analog stick turns the helicopter left and right, as well as moving it up and down. The L1 button activates the dash, a sudden burst of speed which allows you to get around quicker. You can't hold it down but you can press it every few seconds to keep boosting. Every time you hit a building, you'll damage the aircraft. This causes you to lose points. The damage sphere shows the status of the aircraft and changes from green to yellow to red as you take more damage. 2) Putting out fires There are two ways to put out fires. The first is to use your extinguishing missiles. These lock onto a fire from distance and are fired with the R1 button. You can also fire them at point-blank range. The alternative is to use your water cannons with the L2 button. They empty as you use them but gradually refill. The closer you are to the fire, the more effective they are, so get right up against buildings when putting fires out. The benefit of using the cannons is that at the end of the mission, you receive 10,000 bonus points for each missile you have remaining. This can make all the difference when you're going for the high rankings. For example, on the ranking screen you receive 800 points for each second you have left at the end. This means if you spend five seconds putting a fire out, you've lost 4,000 time bonus points but gained 10,000 points for not using the missile. 3) Rescuing people Another key part of the game is rescuing people (or dogs!). To do this, press the circle button to lower a man on a winch. When he's close enough, he'll say "OK, pull up". Press the circle button again to bring the winch back up. The winch can be slow to lower and raise, so the closer you can get to the person in terms of height, the quicker you'll be able to retrieve them. If the man on the winch is hit by traffic or goes into the flames, you'll lose 1500 points. Each person has a colour status depending on how injured they are. Green is the most healthy, yellow is medium and red is low health. A skull and crossbones replaces red once the person is dead. Each person who dies reduces your score by up to 20,000 points. You earn 10,000 points plus extinguishing missiles for each person you rescue from a building (less points if they've been injured by an explosion). Each additional person dotted around the playing area is worth 15,000 points. Each aircraft has a different person capacity. Once it's full, you need to drop people off at a helipad. A blue arrow shows the nearest helipad to you. You earn 1000 points for each person dropped off at the helipad. 4) Mission ranking Once the mission is complete, you'll see the ranking screen. It will show the number of people rescued, percentage fire damage and percentage machine damage. You then earn 10,000 points for each remaining missile and 800 points for each second left on the clock. These are added to your game score and you are given a rank. S is the highest, followed by A,B,C,D,E. 5) Game progression and unlockables When you start the game, only "Fire in the Building" and "Hijacked Bus" are available to play. Progression through the game is as follows: Get a top six score in "Fire in the Building" and "Hijacked Bus" to unlock the second rescue mission, "Burning School Building". Get a top six score in "Burning School Building" to unlock the third rescue mission, "Fire at Night". Get a top six score in "Fire at Night" to unlock the fourth rescue mission, "Accident Flight". Get a top six score in "Accident Flight" to unlock the second chase mission, "Runaway Sports Car". Get a top three score in all four rescue missions and both chase missions to unlock "Final-Rescue". The day time attack course becomes available once "Fire in the Building" has been completed with any rank. The night time attack course becomes available once "Fire at Night" has been completed with any rank. The disaster time attack course becomes available once "Final-Rescue" has been completed with any rank. Completing "Accident Flight" with any rank earns you the special Bat aircraft. Earning an 'A' rank in the four rescue missions, both chases, Final-Rescue and all three time attack courses will unlock the special Pork aircraft. C) WALKTHROUGH 1) FIRE IN THE BUILDING i) Basic walkthrough Aircraft used: Dolphin Follow the yellow arrow to the first fire, using dash L1 to get there quicker. Put the fires out first to prevent them spreading. Target the main fire before the one on the higher level. Use the water cannons to save missiles and maximise your final bonus. Rescue the people while waiting for your water cannon to refill. Ignore anyone else you see wanting to be picked up as you travel around. You don't have to rescue them and to get maximum points, you're better off leaving them (below is a separate walkthrough for rescuing all the people). Head for accident two and put the fire out first before rescuing the people. Use dash to get quickly over to the third accident. There's a red person on the roof who doesn't last very long and needs to be rescued quickly. Once you've got him, start putting the larger of the two fires out. Then cross over and put out the other one. The Dolphin is at maximum person capacity so follow the blue arrow to drop people off at the nearby helipad. Then return to get the last two people. This method should be enough to get you an A rating. Ranking scores: 500,000 or more : S 450,000 to 499,999: A 350,000 to 449,999: B 300,000 to 349,999: C 250,000 to 299,999: D less than 250,000 : E ii) FIRE IN THE BUILDING 100% people rescued walkthrough Aircraft used: Bat To rescue everyone, it's easier if you have the Bat which you get once you've completed all the "Accident Flight" mission. You could try it with the Dolphin but it'll be more difficult as you'll have less water cannon power and less people capacity. Similarly, the Lobster has more capacity and better water cannons but its slow speed and bulkiness are a bit of a liability. As putting out the fires and then rescuing people at each building triggers the next accident, you need to do things differently if you want to rescue all of the people. Begin as normal, head over to the first fire and put the larger, lower part of it out (with the water cannons if you want the maximum score). Pick up the two people but leave the other part of the fire. Instead assuming you're directly above the road and facing the building, turn to the right. You'll see the road forks, take the left fork and then left again at the next junction. On the corner here will be the first extra person to pick up. Head back to the fire building but pass by it on the road that runs alongside it. Keep going in this direction and you'll come across someone else to pick up. Back up a bit, turn left and head down this street (around the perimeter of the park). The next person to pick up is down here. Continue around the perimeter of the park and you'll come to the next person. Now head into the middle of the park and there's a person on top of a tower. Once you've picked him up, you need to drop the people at a helipad. The best one to go to is not as directed by the blue arrow. Assuming you're facing the ferris wheel, turn to the right and go to the helipad in this direction. Once you've dropped them off, time is running short so head back and put the fire out. Head over to the next accident but this time, put the fire out first. Then rescue the dog but leave the person. Back yourself up so you're facing where the fire was and turn to the left above the tracks. Follow the tracks and rescue the person along here. Turn around and follow the tracks in the other direction, past the person you've left behind and you should see a person in a cafe to your right. From the cafe, turn so you're facing the tracks but fly over them and the helipad. Continue in this direction to see the next person to rescue on the street corner. Now head back and rescue the person you left behind on the building, hopefully he's still alive! You now need to quickly head for the final accident. Quickly rescue the red person but then ignore the others and drop your rescued people off at the nearby helipad. You now need to rescue the other three people before the whole place blows up. Once you have them, ignore the fire and drop these people off at the helipad. Once they're out, we need to find the other people before we can put the fire out. The red arrow should be pointing directly behind you at this point. Turn to the right and head in this direction until you reach the fairground. Turn to the left, go over the swinging boat and you should see a person to rescue. Once you've got him, you need to be heading in the direction you were going before you moved to the right to rescue him. There is a street heading directly away from the swinging boat (in the direction of the swing). Head up here and on the right is someone to rescue. Opposite the cafe is a turning on the left. Go down here and you'll see a dog on your right. Stop next to the dog but don't rescue him yet. Instead, turn to the left and head in this direction. There is a person to rescue on a building a short distance ahead. Turn around and go back and rescue the dog, then the person you should see near him. Fly over the tennis court and over the building and not far from the running track you should see the last of the people. All you have to do now is get back to the fire and put it out before the time runs out!! It's a good idea to use a few of your missiles at point-blank range here, otherwise you'll be forever putting the fires out. 2) HIJACKED BUS Aircraft used: Goldfish There are two missions in which you must chase a vehicle through the streets, keeping your spotlight on it so that the police can corner and trap it. You need to be fairly low for the spotlight being on the vehicle to count. Once the vehicle is within the spotlight, a score counter begins, rising by 500 points each time to a maximum of 10,000. If the vehicle moves out of the spotlight, the counter resets to zero. The bus chase is the first chase mission. The Goldfish is the only real option for these chases. Use L1 dash to keep up if you need to. If the bus moves out of the boundaries of the map, you lose. The bus can take some annoying detours through buildings and if it gets under part of one, the points counter resets to zero even if you have the spotlight on it. If the bus stops as a result of being blocked in by police cars, try to position the goldfish so you are blocking one of its possible exits. It may still find a way through but trying to block him in yourself is more effective than waiting for the police to do it single-handed. Rankings: 600,000 or more : S 575,000 to 599,999: A 550,000 to 574,999: B 500,000 to 549,999: C 450,000 to 499,999: D less than 450,000 : E 3) BURNING SCHOOL BUILDING i) Basic walkthrough Aircraft used: Lobster (or Dolphin) Although the Lobster is slower, it has more powerful water cannons and a higher person capacity which come in useful on this mission. Size makes it tricky to control though, so the choice is yours. Either way, follow the yellow arrow to the school and put the fire out before rescuing the three people. Head to the second fire by the railway tracks and put the fire parallel to the tracks out first, then the one round the corner of the building. Then rescue both people. If you're using the Dolphin, you'll have to drop the people off at the nearby landing pad. If you're using the Lobster, you can continue to the next accident. If you're using the Lobster, use your water cannons to put the fire out on the right-hand side as you face the building. Then rescue the red person, put the other fires out and rescue the green person. Before heading for the final accident, drop the rescued people off at the nearby helipad. If you're using the Dolphin, the delay caused by dropping the people off means you'll have to rescue the red person first. Then put the fire out on the right side, rescue the other person and put out the remaining fires. You could use a missile or two at point-blank range if you're impatient waiting for the fires to die down. Head for the final accident. You should have time to put the fires out before rescuing the people. The time and missiles remaining should be enough to earn you an A rating. Rankings: 625,000 or more : S 550,000 to 624,999 : A 450,000 to 549,999 : B 400,000 to 449,999 : C 350,000 to 399,999 : D less than 350,000 : E ii) BURNING SCHOOL BUILDING 100% rescued people walkthrough Aircraft used: Bat Head in the direction of the yellow arrow, pressing L1 dash all the way. When you reach the school, drop down and immediately put the fire out with your water cannons. Next, pick up the middle of the three people on the school roof, the one who'll probably be yellow by the time you start to rescue her. (Ignore the other two people for the moment). Next, head down the road directly in front of you (turning left onto it) and pick up the person at the crossroads. Continuing in the direction you were heading, go across the crossroads and keep heading in this direction, up over the restaurant and a few other buildings. You'll then reach the train tracks and they'll be someone to pick up here. Manouever so you're above the track and turn to the left, follow the track and pick up the person you'll come to on the right of the track. Follow the track a little further and there's another person to pick up, this time on the left, near a building. Now, follow the yellow arrow back to the school and pick up the two people you left on the roof. Turn around and head back towards the railway tracks. The next accident will be triggered (if it hasn't already) so dash your way over there. Once you reach the building, quickly manouever so that you're above the railway tracks, facing the large part of the fire. This stops a train blocking your way. Use your water cannon to put the fire out on this side and then move around the corner to put the other fire out the same way. When the fire's out, ignore the people for the time being and follow the blue arrow to the helipad to drop off your seven people. At this point, the yellow arrow should be pointing behind and slightly to the right of you with the H on the helipad on its side. Take off and head forward and right (NE of your present position). You should quickly find another person. Turn around and head back towards the building that was on fire but pass by it on its right-hand side. Keep going straight and on your right-hand side you should see the next person to pick up. Keep going in the direction you were heading and you'll come to a restaurant. To the left of it is a football pitch with the next person to pick up. Turn so you're facing the restaurant and fly over it and straight on. Veer slightly right so you can see the edge of the funfair but still head straight on and you should come to a dog to rescue. Once you've got him, follow the yellow arrow back to the building and rescue the two people you left behind. The next accident will soon trigger if it hasn't already. Before you go there, drop off your people at the nearest helipad. Head for the accident, rescue the red person and then back up to rescue the green person. Use your water cannons to put out the fire facing you as you rescue the green person. Back up again so you're facing the large part of the fire. Use your water cannons to put out the left side of the fire as you look at it (ignore the right side for the moment). Turn the bat to the right and head towards the fair. Fly directly over the top of the rollercoaster and you should see someone to rescue on top of an orange building, next to the grey dome. Fly over the top of the dome and forward with the ferris wheel on your left. In front of the ferris wheel is someone to rescue on a orange and white striped roof. The next one can be a little tricky to find. Head onto the road in front of you and follow it as it curves right to meet a fork. Instead of taking either fork, head straight on. You'll pass over a café with a blue/grey roof and then one with a stripy blue/white roof. Keep going in this direction and you'll see the next person to rescue. Head back the way you came towards the fairground. As you reach it, follow the road heading to your left, passing the swinging boat ride. Turn right at the junction. As you travel down here, you'll see a twisting rollercoaster track. At this point, turn to your left and head this way to find the last of the extra people. Now follow the arrow back to the fire and use your water cannons to put it out. Once it's out, drop off the people at the nearby helipad. Follow the yellow arrow to the next accident, which will probably be well underway by now. Rescue the people in red/yellow/green order. It's best to concentrate on the building with two people on it, rescuing them and putting the fire out. This gives your water cannons time to recharge while your rescuing the last person. Put out the remaining fire and you're all done. 4) FIRE AT NIGHT i) Basic walkthrough Aircraft used: Dolphin This one can be pretty tricky. Some of the rescue spots are very tight and the fires are the largest we've come across so far. The first two buildings are fairly standard. In both cases, put the fires out first with the water cannons before they get out of control and then rescue the people. When you reach the third accident, one of the people soon changes from yellow to red. It's worth ignoring her for the moment and concentrating on putting the fire out on the side nearest to you as you approach (the one with no people). Once this is out, rescue the red person and put the fire out on her side. It's a bit tight time-wise, so you may want to rescue her first if she's dying before you can reach her. Next, rescue the other person but leave the fire. Take this opportunity to drop the people off at the landing pad as there isn't time on the way to the next accident. Return to put the fire out and then head as quickly as you can to the next. The fourth fire escalates very quickly and it's difficult to stop it spreading without wasting a lot of missiles (and even that may not work). Therefore, let it spread. Rescue the person in the middle section first. At this point, an explosion will take out large parts of the adjoining area. Your priority should be the person on his own in this blown-out area. Use you cannons to put out the fires in front of you and then the ones on your left until your cannons are empty. Don't wait for them to refill, head to the other side of the area and rescue the dog. Now work your way around this building putting out the fires. Don't hold down the cannon button, short controlled bursts are better. Ignore the other person until your water cannons are empty and use the refill time to rescue him. Now you need to put the other fires out. They are pretty fierce, so on the largest ones, use a missile or two at point-blank range to speed things up. Resist the urge to use too many though and still use your water cannons for the most part. If you're quick, getting an S ranking is probably easier here than in the previous two missions. Rankings 500,000 or more : S 450,000 to 499,999 : A 400,000 to 449,999 : B 350,000 to 399,999 : C 300,000 to 349,999 : D less than 300,000 : E ii) FIRE AT NIGHT 100% people rescued walkthrough Aircraft used: Bat Now this is tough. Your flying and fire-fighting skills will need to be first class if you're going to rescue everybody. There is hardly any spare time, so you really need to know exactly where people are. It will take quite a few attempts to familiarise yourself enough with the level to give yourself a fighting chance. Use missiles more than I've suggested if you're having real problems. What's more, the number of tall buildings are a real hazard, especially as you have to make constant use of dash. The additional people to rescue tend to be scattered all over the place, so apologies if any of the directions aren't clear. Quite why they couldn't put a compass on screen I'll never know. I've used street directions quite a lot but obviously once you know where the people are, you can cut the corners off. From the start, head for the first fire, pressing dash to pick up some speed. After one or two dashes, you should see two people standing together on a roof. Get down low and rescue them. Now, assuming you're facing in the direction of the yellow arrow, you need to quickly gain height while also moving sideways to the left. You'll cross over the top of a tall building and on the other side is someone to rescue. Now, head for the building on fire. Put out the small fire on the side with nobody near it first. Then use a couple of missiles at point-blank range to quickly put out the fire on the large side of the building. Rescue the person low down and then the one on the higher level but leave the fire. Back up and use the left analog stick to move sideways to the other side of the building and head up the road that disappears off the top of the screen. As you go up here, take the first turning on the right. There is a person on top of the building on your left. Turn round and go back onto the road you turned down, as if to go back the way you came. Instead of turning left at the end, carry straight on, up over the building and you should soon see someone else to rescue. Now you need to quickly head back and put the fire out before the time runs out, using a couple of missiles at close range to make up time. The next accident may already have started but don't panic. Once the first accident is clear, start to head for number two. After one dash, the blue arrow will change and point to a helipad directly in front of you. Stop here to drop off your passengers. Now dash all the way to the next accident. When you get there, put out the fire that is on the left of the person to be rescued (the left as you face him). Then pick him up and follow the blue arrow towards the nearby helipad. Don't land at the pad but once you reach it, turn so you're heading diagonally forward and left (NW) and after passing another helipad, you should see someone to rescue on a cross-shaped building. At this point you should be facing a crossroads with both arrows pointing behind you. Looking at the crossroads as an X, you need to head up the road that is going ahead and slightly to the right. After a couple of dashes, you should see a dog to be rescued. Turn around and head back to the fire but drop these three people off at one of the helipads on the way back. The fire is awkward to put out, so use two or three close-range missiles to put it out more quickly. With no time to lose head for fire number three. Put out the fire in the middle section with the yellow/red person and then rescue her. Move to your right to put the fire out on this side. Once again, one or two missiles will ensure it's out quickly. Now go round to the other side of the building and rescue the person but leave the fire. You may have noticed someone on the street below but ignore her for now as well. You should be facing in the same direction you were when you were putting out the fire surrounding the first person, just round to the left. Head straight-on and you should see someone to rescue standing on a tower. Assuming you're still facing the same direction, turn to the left. Dash until you're told you're out of area. Turn to the right and dash once down this street. Before the fork in the road is someone to rescue on the right. Now head back to the fire building and rescue that person nearby on the street. Quickly put the fire out, using a missile or two to speed things up. Head quickly to the last building. The fire may already be underway. The key here is to rescue the person on their own before they're consumed by the many explosions. If you've been quick, it is possible to get there before the explosions destroy part of the area. If you do, either fire a few missiles high up or better still, quickly drop down to where the person is on their own and fire two or three close-range missiles while also spraying with the cannon. If you manage to stop the explosion, well done. If not, make sure you rescue the person and also the other person among the debris from the explosion (to your right if you're facing the main part of the fire). Follow the blue arrow to the irritatingly far away helipad and drop these people off. Now you need to head quickly back to the fire but there's someone to rescue on the way, slightly off to the right of the direction of the yellow arrow. When you get back to the fire, rescue the dog and then the man from the other building. The dog's urgent but leave the man if he isn't red and instead use the time to make your way round this building putting out the fire. If he's red, quickly fire two or three missiles at close range. If you managed to put the other fire out before the explosion, don't put the fire out completely on this building or the level will end when you rescue the man. Next to this building is a three-road junction. You now need to head up the middle of these roads so that the fire is directly behind you. Take the first turning on the left and then at the end turn right. Turn right again at the next junction and after going across two crossroads, you should see someone to rescue on your right. Turn around and head back the way you came. Go across the first crossroads but right at the second. There is a person to rescue down this street on the left. Back up and go briefly along this street again to the next crossroads. Turn left and after two or three dashes down here, you should see a dog to rescue. Turn and head back to the fire but fly over it as there is one more person to rescue. Head along the road that goes ahead of you, the one in front of the building you rescued the first person from. Go left at the first junction and the person is a little way up here on the left. Now head back to the fire and put the rest of it out. If you didn't stop the explosion, time will be very short, so use missiles at close range to put the fires out. 5) ACCIDENT FLIGHT Aircraft Used: Dolphin or Lobster After that last one, you'll be glad to hear we're done with rescuing people from burning buildings for the time being. This time, we have to rescue them from a burning plane, known in the game as the Bat! It's an entertaining diversion and but no less tricky. The plane follows roughly the same route and is on fire from the start. It will slow down when people appear on the top of it to be rescued. The longer you take to rescue them, the less additional bonus time you'll have at the end. To earn a high score, avoid using the missiles. There is no ideal position to put the fires out with the water cannons as it depends where they are. Good spots are with your nose over one of the plane's engines, just above and behind the cockpit or directly facing the cockpit from the side. As much as possible try to keep as close as you can and mirror the height of the aircraft. There are seven people to rescue but only five slots on the dolphin. Once you're full, drop the people off at the nearest helipad for which you'll earn 5000 very useful points. Flying the lobster means you won't need to drop anyone off and you'll have more water cannon power but I prefer the dolphin in this mission for its manoeuvrability. There's a limit to how quickly the plane will land once all the people are off. It needs to be near a bit of open space to put down. Providing you rescue everyone, save your missiles and drop the five off, you should be ok for an A ranking. If you're after an 'S', it's easier with the Bat aircraft which you unlock once you've completed this mission the first time. Rankings: 30,000 points or more: S 27,500 to 29,999 : A 25,000 to 27,499 : B 22,500 to 24,999 : C 20,000 to 22,499 : D under 20,000 points : E 6) RUNAWAY SPORTS CAR Aircraft used: Goldfish Similar to the bus chase except this time, the sports car is much quicker and a smaller target for the spotlight. Use dash to keep up, generally staying behind and to one side of the car so you can clearly see it turn. Try to keep low to maximise your chances of keeping him in the spotlight. As before, the longer you keep him in the spotlight, the higher the bonus climbs, holding when it reaches 10,000. If he stops or is otherwise cornered, drop down and try to block his exit. You can try to hit him as the loading screen suggests but watch out for the points you lose through damage. You need all the points you can get on this level. There's an element of luck involved as sometimes the car enters a tunnel or goes into a building, causing you to lose track of him. Equally, even if you keep the car in the spotlight for the whole time (as I did once, thinking I was heading for a world-record score), it may still slip past the police and escape. Being pro-active and making an effort to block him yourself (with the aid of the police) is a better option than sitting back and waiting for them to finish the job. Rankings: 600,000 or more : S 580,000 to 599,999: A 550,000 to 579,999: B 500,000 to 549,999: C 450,000 to 499,999: D less than 450,000 : E 7) FINAL-RESCUE Aircraft used: Bat The final level is a major rescue effort. An earthquake has hit and there are thirty people in need of rescue plus fires at many locations. The people are the key to the level. You have to rescue 20 out of 30 to pass. The fires are only worth the points you get for putting them out, so if you're struggling to reach people before they die, spend less time on fire-fighting. An alternate approach is to concentrate solely on rescuing the people and then put the fires out once you've rescued enough. Either way, you'll have up to a hundred missiles at your disposal for tackling the eleven buildings that are on fire. The largest number you can carry is fifty and once you have fifty, you instead receive 1000 points times by the number of missiles you would have been given. What's more, you only get 1000 points per remaining missile on this level, so you're better off using them to put out the fires than saving them for the final bonus. Using up to four per building at point-blank range will ensure the fires are out quickly enough. This walkthrough will show you how to rescue all 30 people. If you reach someone and find they are dead, you could restart or press on, assuming you'll be able to get to the 20 people rescued target you need to pass the mission. Finding the people and rescuing them in the right order is the main problem. There are no yellow arrows this time and the lack of any major landmarks is going to make directions tricky, so apologies in advance. At the start, turn the Bat around so you're facing the other way and dash a couple of times in this direction. You'll fly over a couple of green people (ignore them for now) and then you'll see a red person. Rescue him and then continue in the direction you were heading, over the freeway and you'll come to the first fire. Rescue the red person here and then use your cannons to put as much of the fire out as you can before they empty. As they refill, rescue the other person and then put the rest of the fire out. Assuming you're facing the building, follow the road that goes off the right of the screen to a crossroads, changing direction slightly as it does. At the crossroads, turn so that you're facing the 1992 sign and fly diagonally in this direction. You should find someone here to rescue. If you gain some height now, you'll see the collapsed highway. Make your way onto it and turn to the right (the other way is the edge of the area). Head up the highway until you find someone to rescue beneath a collapsed section. Continue in this direction, past the first crossroads and then turn left at the second and you'll see a building on fire. Rescue the red person, put out the fire until your cannons are empty and then rescue the other person. If one of the people is already dead when you get here, spend less time on the previous fire next time. Likewise, there's no need to hang around here to put the rest of this fire out if you don't want to. The Bat is now full, so drop these people off at the nearby landing pad. There is a communications tower on one side of the helipad. Turn so that this is on the left side of the Bat. Dash in this direction until the out of area message appears. Turn to the left and head up here until you find a dog to rescue. At this point, you should be facing the street with a collapsed building over the road to your left. Turn onto the street and fly over this building and continue heading in this direction and find someone to rescue on the street. Across the street is a building on fire. Rescue the people on it and put some but not necessarily all of the fire out. Now head down the road that is blocked by a fallen building. When you reach the train tracks, turn right onto them and follow them to the train crash where there are two people to pick up. Just further up the track is a road to the right with a fallen sign with 1992 on it. Go up this road and you'll find the next fire. Ignore it for the moment and you'll see a yellow/red person nearby on a collapsed building. Rescue her first and then drop your people off at the nearby landing pad. Now head back to the building on fire, rescue the person and put as much of the fire out as time will allow. Head back towards the landing pad and rescue the person near the restaurant that is just past the pad. Where this person was, the parking lines point in a certain direction, probably to your left. You need to head in this direction. Just past the train tracks are a couple of buildings on fire. Ignore the one with no-one on it and head for the one with the person on. Rescue this person and put the fire out if you have time. Now head onto the destroyed area just across the street from this building. There's a person here to rescue but once again, you don't have to put the fire out. Go to the railway tracks and turn left onto them and follow them past the burning building that had nobody on it. Before the next crossroads is someone to rescue on the right. Fly diagonally from here over the crossroads and railway track and onto the third destroyed area. There is person on the ground to rescue at the far end of this section. Assuming you haven't missed anyone so far, you've now rescued enough people to pass the level. The level does not end, though, as you have the chance to rescue everybody and put out all remaining fires. Turn to face the train tracks and fly over them. You'll soon see a building on fire. The yellow/red person on their own nearby is actually the priority. You can either rescue him straight away or put the fire out first to give the people on the building more of a chance. In any case, once you've picked him up, follow the blue arrow to the landing pad to drop everyone off. At the landing pad is a building on fire. Ignore the person here for the moment and head back to rescue the people on the previous building, putting out some of the fire if you have time. Now head back and rescue the person near the landing pad. Now take a look at the roads around this tower block. One of them is not straight and heads off into the distance at an angle. Go up here and follow the road as it curves to the right. At the junction, carry straight on, up over the buildings and you should see someone to rescue. Now follow the collapsed highway and take the first turning on the left. Up here is someone else to rescue. Turn around, go back above the collapsed highway and continue to follow it until you see a landing pad on your right on a partly broken building. Turn to the right here and you will see two more people to rescue just ahead. Note that the last two people to rescue are very near here, just across the street that has the collapsed building on it. Therefore, rescue any red among these four first and then the yellow. Once you pick up two of them, the Bat will be full so you'll need to drop people at the nearby landing pad. Once you've picked up the last two, you've got them all. Use any remaining time to put out fires and increase your overall score and ranking. For the ultimate challenge, try to complete the level rescuing all the people and putting out all the fires you see along the way. It is just possible in the time limit. After you've rescued those last two people, there is one more fire to put out you won't have seen yet. It is over the broken highway and off to the right. If you can rescue everyone, put all the fires out and not use too many missiles doing it, you're in with a chance of achieving the highest possible score of 999,999.
