I hope that this guide will help you in playing the game with additional restrictions. I believe that some people had finished the game with sort of minimal buys, but they never documented what they had done. I did my research in the internet, but I only found an incomplete guide about minimal buys. With the help of some other guides for this game, I was determined to finish the challenge and then compile all information into this guide. Anyway, I played the NTSC version of the game using an emulator. My old PS2 had broken, and I didn't have the intention to repair it. Hopefully there isn't any difference between real console and emulator. Let's cut the chit chat and start the game. ******************************************************************************** PN02 - The Rules ******************************************************************************** There are some rules that must be followed in the guide. * Minimal Buys This is the main rule. You can't buy any car until you can't progress through the game anymore. As a big teaser here, if you follow this guide until the end, you only need to buy 2 cars to complete the game. Those cars are: - any of Mercedes cars - TVR Tuscan Speed 6 * (Optional) One Time Race You can't repeat a race that you have cleared before. However, you can repeat any skipped tracks in the series. Skipped tracks won't have a trophy logo on them, so they must be finished as single races. You will do it many times when applying "Choose The Prize Car" Trick. See PN04 - The Tricks for the details. Actually, in the minimal buys run, you don't even need to repeat any race. You don't need to buy a car, so the prize money will be spent for upgrading cars. You also only need to upgrade a few cars for the whole game. Anyway, If you look at the final stat in the end of the guide, I still had more than 10 millions Cr when I completed the game. * (Optional) Minimal Upgrade You only upgrade the car when necessary, and you only install some required parts to clear the races. This rule gives a challenge in some races, especially when you drive a stock car and you need to compete against identical cars. In this guide I will mention whichever upgrade and tuning I've done. I'm not an expert driver, so you can lower the requirement even more to raise the difficulty. Anyway, If you look at the final stat in the end of the guide, I only spent about 500,000 Cr until I completed the game. * (Optional) No Sell You can't sell any car even if you have duplicate cars. Your garage's size is big enough to contain all of your prize cars, so you don't need to make room for another car. Anyway, If you look at the final stat in then end of the guide, I had 103 cars and got 101 bonus cars, which mean I didn't sell any car. Remember that, based on the explanation above, you need to buy 2 cars to complete the game. ******************************************************************************** PN03 - The Goals ******************************************************************************** When playing this game, I also want to achieve these goals. It's just a personal achievement. * 100% Completion I'm the person that must finish any game that I decide to play. And I'll finish it completely by doing all sidequests or collecting all collectibles. However, in this game this goal is the hardest one to be achieved. That's because you have to achieve all golds in all Licenses, and also defeat the best records in each track on Time Trials in Arcade Mode. I admit that I cheated to achieve this goal. Sorry. * Unique Cars No identical cars can be won from different races, except if both races only give the same prize car. For example, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII Rally Car Prototype will be won from Professional 4WD Challenge and Rally Events Rally of Alps II. In this game, many series provide several random cars that also can be won from other races or series. If you apply "One Time Race" rule, you have to plan ahead about where to acquire this and that cars later. After having played this game for the second time, finally I had compiled a list of unique cars while also aimed at 100% Completion. ******************************************************************************** PN04 - The Tricks ******************************************************************************** Tricks are not considered as cheats. They don't help you to attain instant win, acquire all cars, max money, all gold license tests, or anything that breaks the game. * Oil Change Before starting the race with any car, change its oil beforehand. It restores a small amount of power, so it will help to finish the race faster. It's also very cheap, costing only 250 Cr. Some races have a restriction of only accepting stock cars, but you can still change its oil to gain a small power boost and are still permitted to enter the race. It's not considered as installing any upgrade, so remember it. One more point. Car will gradually lose its power as its mileage increases. In the Professional League when each track in the series has more than 10 laps, your car will deteriorate more faster. However, there is a trick that can be used to win the series without losing too much power. I'll explain about it later. Just remember that you need to change the oil after driving on a long race or series. * Choose The Prize Car After winning a series, there is a screen that shows 4 silhouette cars and one random pointer to select either one of them. There is a trick to choose the car so that you don't need to repeat the whole series to acquire another car. The first one is to have a lead of at least 11 points before starting the last race, or 21 points before starting the last two, and so on. If done correctly, save your game and then quit the series. Your second-placed opponent can't make a comeback even though they win the last race, so you will still win the series. However, after winning the series, you have to win the skipped race as single race to complete your game. Unfortunately, this trick doesn't work in Endurance Races, as you can't save your game before going to the prize screen. However, there is the second trick below. The second trick lies in the Prize Cars screen, which a black circle is seen going around the prize cars in clockwise motion. In my opinion the black circle will go around three times before it stops. You can press the X / O button when the circle is below the car that you want to acquire, but it's only work in the first and second round trip. The third round trip occurs when the cars are moving away from each others, and it's too late if you try to press the button in this period. I applied this trick and could acquire what I want in about 50% of the time. Just combine both tricks, and you can acquire whichever prize cars that you want without losing too much time. As additional note, skipping a race counts as a loss. If you apply this trick, you won't be able to maintain your 100% Win Ratio. Personally, I didn't bother with 100% Win Ratio because it didn't give any reward. It's better to do this trick rather than have to repeat the whole series. ******************************************************************************** PN05 - The Preparation ******************************************************************************** There are some notes before starting the guide * In some points of the guide, if there are something that you can do, but they aren't mandatory, I will refer them as "Side Quests". If you try to achieve 100% Completion, you will eventually have to do them later, so why not do them earlier. Some Side Quests will give you far better cars which can be used to destroy some races. * I'm not the person who follow the roads. Sometimes I cut through grass, perform wall-rides, hit opponents' cars while cornering, and many more. If you are a purist, all of those are probably considered cheating. * Actually there are many glitches all over the tracks, mainly about shortcuts to finish the race faster. I'm not covering any of the glitches, found in the game. You can read another guide to learn those. Even after having reached 100% Completion, I didn't use any of the glitches, and I didn't care about those. * I will always keep track of the acquired cars in the game, with the assumption that Side Quests are cleared as soon as they can. However, I still write the guide with the assumption that you don't do any of the Side Quests. At some point of the game, you may find that you have a different number of cars because you only clear some of the Side Quests, But in the end the number will be the same. ******************************************************************************** CH01 - Start of Simulation Mode ******************************************************************************** After starting a new game, choose Simulation Mode to start the game. Actually you can start the first Side Quests, which is clearing the whole Arcade Mode to gain several completion percentage. However, it's hard to do it for now, so leave it as that for now. I'll tell you when the time comes to clear the whole Arcade Mode in one shot. After entering Simulation Mode, go to License Center. Here you'll need to acquire B License AND you have to achieve all golds for each test. Fortunately, each test has a demo which can be watched, so you can learn from those videos and then apply it to achieve all golds. You will get Mazda MX-5 Miata LS as a prize. ******************************************************************************** SQ01 - Obtainable Cars Before Starting Any Race ******************************************************************************** Before starting any race, you can actually win several cars in License Center and another car in Time Trials in Arcade Mode. Here is the list: * Achieve all Golds in B License : Mazda MX-5 Miata LS * Achieve all Golds in A License : Mazda RX-8 * Achieve all Golds in IB License : Nissan Z Concept * Achieve all Golds in IA License : Aston Martin Vanquish * Achieve all Golds in S License : Dodge Viper GTSR Concept * Achieve all Golds in R License : Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype * Beat the best record in all tracks of Time Trials : Panoz Esperante GTR-1 The most noticeable car is obviously Panoz Esperante GTR-1, but it's the hardest to be acquired. This car will destroy most of Beginner League events, Amateur League events, and some of Professional League events. It will definitely save a lot of your time. If you try to achieve 100% Completion, you have to do them sooner or later. So, if you get bored while progressing the game, you can try another attempt to finish this Side Quest. Obtainable Cars : 7 Total Obtainable Cars : 7 Completion Percentage (License) : 9.1% Completion Percentage (Time Trials) : 1.9% Total Completion Percentage : 11.0% ******************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************** SQ02 - Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version ******************************************************************************** If you manage to acquire Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype from achieving all golds in R License Test, you can clear all Rally Events at this point. If you still don't buy anything at this point, you'll have the initial 18,000 Cr. Just buy Stage 2 Turbo for 14,500 Cr, and then clear all of those races. Neither track provides any trouble, and I usually won with 5 seconds margin. After clearing all Rally Events, you will acquire Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version as reward. If you had played Gran Turismo 2, this car is the game destroyer. With this car, most of the races could be won easily. But now, this car has been nerfed. You will feel something is different when you drive it; it's not as fast as before. However, you can still drive it in the tracks that don't have many turns: Test Course and Super Speedway. There is one Endurance Race in Super Speedway, and you probably need this car to win the race at this point. Here is the list of all cars that can be acquired: * Rally Challenge : Toyota Celica Rally Car * Tahiti Maze : Ford Escort Rally Car * Smokey Mountain Rally : Ford Focus Rally Car * Rally of Alps : Peugeot 206 Rally Car * Rally Challenge II : Toyota Corolla Rally Car * Tahiti Maze II : Subaru Impreza Rally Car * Smokey Mountain Rally II : Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car * Rally of Alps II : Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII Rally Car Prototype * Super Special Route 5 (Wet) : Citroen Xsara Rally Car * Super Special Route 5 (Wet) II : Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype * Clear all Rally Race events : Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version Obtainable Cars : 11 Total Obtainable Cars : 18 Completion Percentage : 5.7% Total Completion Percentage : 16.7% ******************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************** SQ03 - Roadster Endurance ******************************************************************************** This Side Quest can be started after acquiring Mazda MX-5 Miata LS in B License Test. Your objective is to clear the Roadster Endurance, but it requires IA License, so go to License Center and acquire the aforementioned license. You don't need to achieve the golds, just acquire the license is enough. Now jump into your Mazda MX-5 Miata LS and uninstall any upgrades if you have bought them before, as the Roadster Endurance only accept stock cars. Installing other tires is still permitted, but once again you don't need to buy any tires, just change the oil is enough. In short explanation, you don't need to spend any cash except oil change. In the race, you are probably worried because one of the cars is moving pretty fast thanks to its super soft tires, but it always enters pit stop every 3 laps. Your stock car is pretty much fine and you don't need to enter pit stop even once. Why? because you don't lost its handling, and your car still run a good lap even on red tires. Before lap 8, I had an average of 1 minute 47 seconds. At lap 8 I had a completely bright red tires, but I had an average of 1 minute 49 seconds, and I still had 7 seconds difference with the second-placed car. Just continue the race and eventually you'll win it. Now remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick and you may be able to acquire your first formula car, F688/S, in the south position (you will recognize the car from its silhouette). This car is another game destroyer and will easily clear many of Professional League events, and most of Endurance Races events. It will definitely save a lot of your time. Unfortunately, if you apply "Unique Cars" Goal, you can't acquire F688/S at this point. You must acquire Mazda MX-5 Miata 1.8 RS which is located in the west position. That's because you'll acquire F688/S when you complete the entire Simulation Mode. The other prize cars, Mazda MX-5 Miata LS, is obviously identical to your current car, and Mazda MX-5 Miata (80's) will be acquired in Clubman Cup. Once again, I compiled the unique cars list based on 100% Completion Goals. If you don't want to apply "Unique Cars" Goal, just acquire the F688/S car. If you apply "One Time Race" rule, you must win Mazda MX-5 Miata 1.8 RS on your first attempt, so you are forced to repeat the whole endurance to have another chance because you can't save your game before the prize cars selection screen. Remember that this is a Side Quest, so you can continue the game a little bit, and then come back later to take another attmept. If you still can't acquire it after several attempt, just break the rules and accept whatever car it is, or use cheat. Obtainable Cars : 1 Total Obtainable Cars : 19 Completion Percentage : 0.2% Total Completion Percentage : 16.9% ******************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************** SQ04 - Super Speedway 150 Miles ******************************************************************************** This Side Quest can be started after acquiring Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version from completing all Rally Events. Your objective is to clear the Super Speedway 150 Miles, but it requires IA License, so acquire it beforehand. You don't need to achieve the golds, just acquire the license is enough. Now jump into Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version and simply clear the race. Actually, you can drive any of the fast cars because the race itself is pretty easy, but Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version has an unique trick that make it possible to win the race without requiring your presence! Oh yeah, you can install Stage 4 Turbo for 90,000 Cr in order to double its horsepower, and also install super soft tires, but it's not needed. Before starting the race, your car needs some tuning. You probably want to save the default setting of this car if you want to revert it later. Spring Rate : Both all the way to the left Ride Height : Both all the way to the left Shock Bound : Both at Level 7 Shock Rebound : Both at Level 7 Camber Angle : Both all the way to the left (0) Toe Angle : Both at the center (0) Stabilizers : Both at Level 4 Brake Balance : Both at Level 8 LS Initial Torque : Both all the way to the left (0) LS Accel : Both all the way to the left (0) LS Decel : Both all the way to the left (0) Gear Ratio : Auto Setting : All the way to the right (Level 48) 1st : All the way to the left as possible 2nd : All the way to the left as possible 3rd : All the way to the left as possible 4th : All the way to the left as possible 5th : All the way to the left as possible 6th : All the way to the left as possible Final : Around 50% Downforce : Front = all the way to the left (<-) : Rear = all the way to the right (->) ASM : Both all the way to the left (0) TCS : Both all the way to the left (0) In the race, hold the Throttle button, move your left analog stick slightly to the right, and then use rubber bands, tapes, or anything you have to hold both button and analog. If done correctly, your car will always wallride on the tracks, preventing itself from entering pit stop. At first, your opponents will run ahead of you, but later they have to enter pit stop several times, and you will eventually raise one by one until you reach the first place. I tested this trick with a stock car, and my car managed to reach the first place at around lap 40. The race will take around 1 hour, so leave your controller and do something else in an hour, then come back and get your prize car. Remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick and you may be able to acquire a formula car, F090/S, in the south position (you will recognize the car from its silhouette). This car is another game destroyer and will easily clear many of Professional League events, and most of Endurance Races events. It will definitely save a lot of your time. Unfortunately, in this guide, you must acquire Renault Clio Sport Race Car, located in the west position, as it's required to compete at the Professional Clio Trophy. If you apply "Unique Cars" Goal, you also can't acquire it because based on my Unique Cars list in 100% Completion Goals, the F090/S will be acquired at Professional Formula GT. If you apply "Minimal Upgrade" rule, you can't install any upgrade for this car. As I have said before, I did this race with a stock car, and my car managed to reach the first place at around lap 40. If you apply "One Time Race" rule, you must win Renault Clio Sport Race Car on your first attempt, so you are forced to repeat the whole endurance to have another chance because you can't save your game before the prize cars selection screen. However, this race is the easiest to retry because you can do something else in an hour and then come back to take another chance. Obtainable Cars : 1 Total Obtainable Cars : 20 Completion Percentage : 0.2% Total Completion Percentage : 17.1% ******************************************************************************** There are many Side Quests that actually can be cleared. However, I will assume that you don't clear any of these Side Quests. Later, if I write that you need to clear race X with car Y, but actually you have car Z which is much faster than car Y, please drive it to make the game much easier. I prefer to unlock the necessary cars as fast as possible, and then clear some of the hardest races with limited cars restriction. The rest of the races can be done easily later. ******************************************************************************** CH02 - Acquire a Rally Car ******************************************************************************** The objective of this chapter is to acquire a rally car as fast as possible. The earliest rally car that can be acquired is Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car at the Amateur Evolution Meeting, so that's your main direction. Without clearing any of the Side Quests, you only have Mazda MX-5 Miata LS and the initial 18.000 Cr, which is enough. Select your only car, then enter Beginner Sunday Cup and Clubman Cup. Both races should be quite easy and you will acquire Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86 Type I and Mazda MX-5 Miata as rewards. Now jump into the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the second prize car, then buy Turbo Stage 1 for 4,500 Cr to raise its power by 80. That's a great boost for a cheap price. Now race at Beginner 80's Sports Car Cup, which also quite easy, and acquire Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC as reward. Now, if you don't buy anything except Stage 1 Turbo for 4,500 Cr, you should have 18,000 + 3,000 + 3,000 + 7,500 - 4,500 = 27,000 Cr. You need at least 30,500 Cr to install an upgrade to Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC, so raise another 3,500 Cr. If you already have it because you have cleared one of the Side Quests, you don't need to do anything, otherwise race at Beginner FR Challenge with Mazda MX-5 Miata. You will acquire Nissan Silvia K's S13 1800cc and also collect 4,500 Cr prize money, so you have collected more than 30,500 Cr. at this point. If you somehow spend your money elsewhere, the only optional races right now are the Beginner Race of Turbo Sports with Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC, then Beginner Lightweight Sports Car Cup with the prize car that is won in the previous race. I won't mention them here because they are not important right now. If you still don't have 30,500 even after clearing those races, I suggest that you start a brand new game. With at least 30,500 Cr in your hand, you'll need to jump into the Amateur League, and then race at Amateur 80's Sports Car Cup with Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC. Obviously you need to acquire A License beforehand. You may try to achieve all golds in the test, but its prize car isn't used in clearing any race. This race is a hard one because Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC. is quite hard to control, and easily skid when cornering, thus losing speed. After attempting many different upgrade combos with only 31,500 Cr, I still couldn't win the race. Well, the problem is its cornering, so it requires some tuning, and it can only be done if you install Full Customize Suspension. You also need Turbo Stage 2 to raise its power. Their total cost is 30,500 Cr, so you still have 1,000 Cr, which can be spent for Oil Change (250 Cr). Now enter the race, go to Setting, then change the setting of Spring Rate Front to 15 and Rear to 7, and change the Ride Height to become 102 for both. With this setting, the cornering problem will be greatly mitigated. At the Trial Mountain II, I managed to win it on my second attempt after having applied those settings, with the margin of less than half second. Remember that I'm not a great driver, but I can win it, so I'm sure you can do the same thing or even better. You will acquire Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune R32 and collect 24,000 Cr, which brings up your total money to 24,750 Cr. Now jump into Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune R32, and race at Amateur 4WD Challenge. Actually you can also do Beginner 4WD Challenge too, but it's not important right now, so I won't mention it here. Super Slick Racing Tires are required because Amateur 4WD Challenge has Tire Damage rule, which makes the tires gradually lose theirs grip as you progress through laps. If you have done one of the Endurance Side Quests, it's totally similar to it. Anyway, win the races and acquire Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR as reward. The installed tires cost 10,500 Cr, but you collect 15,000 Cr as prize money, so now you have 24,750 - 10,500 + 15,000 = 29,250 Cr. With the previous prize car, you can finally reach the final destination of this chapter. Similar to previous race, actually you can do Beginner Evolution Meeting too, but it's not important right now, so I won't mention it here. I believe that Racing Chip - Turbo Stage 1 - Weight Reduction Stage 1 combo is enough to win all of the races, but it's very hard for me. After a few attempts, I decided to reload the game and install Turbo Stage 2. Even though with Turbo Stage 2, these races were quite challenging, because I won all of them with the margin of around 1 second. Anyway, you have 29,250 Cr, and Turbo Stage 2 only costs 13,500 Cr, so you still have another 15,750 Cr to be spent. Once it's done, you will acquire Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car as reward. With Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car, now you have to clear SQ02 - Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. You need to buy Turbo Stage 2 and also acquire R License before doing this. Once they are done, you will acquire 11 cars and a lot of money, so I won't count the money anymore in the following chapter. I still apply "Minimal Upgrade" rule, so I'll only mention the necessary upgrades. This is the end of the chapter. Before proceeding to the next chapter, you may want to try some Side Quests, especially SQ04 - Super Speedway 150 Miles because you already have the necessary car to do it. Just proceed to the next chapter if you don't acquire the car you want. Reload the game if you apply "One Time Race" rule. Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire if there are multiple possible prize cars. Beginner Sunday Cup any faster car / Mazda MX-5 Miata LS Stock Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86 Type I Beginner Clubman Cup any faster car / Mazda MX-5 Miata LS Stock Mazda MX-5 Miata Beginner 80's Sports Car Cup Mazda MX-5 Miata Turbo Stage 1 Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC Beginner FR Challenge any faster car / Mazda MX-5 Miata Mazda MX-5 Miata: Turbo Stage 1 Nissan Silvia K's S13 1800cc Amateur 80's Sports Car Cup Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC Full Customize Suspension Turbo Stage 2 Spring Rate Front = 15, Rear = 7 Ride Height Front = 102, Rear = 102 Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune R32 Amateur 4WD Challenge Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune R32 Super Slick Racing Tires Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR Amateur Evolution Meeting Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR Turbo Stage 2 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car Obtainable Cars : 7 Total Obtainable Cars : 27 Completion Percentage : 4.1% Total Completion Percentage : 21.2% ******************************************************************************** CH03 - Essential Cars ******************************************************************************** In this chapter, I focused on getting the Essential Cars, which will be required to compete in races with their respective limited cars' restriction. Actually you already have your first Essential Car, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR, because it's required to win Evolution Meeting. There are another 9 Essential Cars that you'll need to acquire. However, you must acquire a great car to be able to win at least 3 of those races. If you still haven't acquired IA License, now you have to do it. You may try to achieve all golds in the test, but it's not important right now. Once it's done, you need to jump into Professional League, and race at Professional Boxer Spirit with Subaru Impreza Rally Car / Subaru Impreza Rally Car Prototype, acquired from one of the Rally Events. It doesn't matter which one you want to drive, but buy Turbo Stage 1 to your chosen car. Your biggest opponent is Ruf RGT with 379 horsepower, not the Ruf CTR2 with 512 horsepower. I don't know why the latter is losing to the former. Each track has 10 laps, and you'll need to enter the pit stop at lap 5. Ruf RGT then will pass you, and you only have 5 laps to overtake it. In Deep Forest Raceway II, I finally passed it on the last hairpin of lap 9. In Rome Circuit, I passed it on the last corner of lap 8. Super Speedway is really easy because I didn't need to enter the pit stop. Win these races and you'll acquire your biggest opponent's car, Ruf RGT. Ruf RGT is a decent car to finish Arcade Mode. You can finish it, but it's not important right now. Actually I cleared the entire Arcade Mode at this point, as I got bored while doing Simulation Mode. ******************************************************************************** SQ05 - Clear Arcade Mode ******************************************************************************** Why bother with Arcade Mode? Well, Arcade Mode gives 19.4% of Simulation Mode's completion percentage. Since there is a prize car after reaching 50%, the entire Arcade Mode will help to acquire it faster. However, the prize car itself isn't used in clearing any race. After selecting Arcade Mode, choose Clear Status to view your current progress. There are a total of 6 areas, and each area has 6 tracks, except for the last 2 areas which only has 5 tracks. Each track has 3 difficulties: Easy, Normal, and Hard. If it's your first time doing Arcade Mode, only the first area is unlocked. The subsequent area will be unlocked after clearing all tracks in the previous area. Even though there are 3 difficulties, it's highly recommended if you always race on Hard Mode, because it'll automatically clear both Easy and Normal Mode. Hard Mode races are really hard if you only ride any cars that are provided in Arcade Mode. However, you can also select any of your cars in Simulation Mode. So, actually you can wait until you have acquired very fast car, especially the F1 car, and then destroy all of the tracks. With Ruf RGT, selected from your garage, not the one provided by Arcade Mode, you can easily clear all of the Tarmac (Road) Races, and you can leave the Dirt Races to any of your rally cars. On the Tarmac Races, the opponents are really slow so that YOU WILL GAIN THE FIRST POSITION BEFORE EVEN THE FIRST CORNER. On the Dirt Races, just drive through the tracks and that's it. Updated: The fewer progress you make, the easier the races. Actually I replayed the whole tracks after having acquired Pagani Zonda C12S in Simulation Mode, and Pagani Zonda C12 (without S) shows up as one of your opponent in some of the tracks, even though it's not a threat. One noticeable track is Test Course, because I wasn't able to make some distance with Pagani Zonda C12 after gaining the lead. This race ended up as slipstream battle. For the sake of completeness, here is the list of tracks on each area, and also its unlocked cars. Here you can replay those endings. If you try to achieve 100% Completion, you have to do them sooner or later. So, if you get bored while progressing the game, you can try another attempt to finish this Side Quest. Trophies Acquired : 34 Completion Percentage : 19.4% Total Completion Percentage : 40.6% ******************************************************************************** With Ruf RGT you can race at Professional Race of NA Sports. You only need to install Super Slick Racing Tires, but make sure that Pagani Zonda C12 is not in the startup line. Just enter the series, check the startup line, then retire the championship if it shows up. Quitting a race doesn't count as a loss, and you just skip a day doing nothing if you really care about it. Once it's done, you'll acquire Pagani Zonda C12S, the second Essential Car. Pagani Zonda C12S is a great car, but it still requires some upgrades to be able to clear Professional Italian Avant Garde, where you have to compete against 5 Pagani Zonda Race Cars. Yes, all of your opponents are racing cars. I only bought NA Stage 2, Racing Chip, Triple Plate Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Full Racing Transmission, and Slick Tires, then in the Setting screen, I adjusted the Gear Ratio to Auto Setting Level 32. Even with these upgrades, the race is pretty hard because this car is really bad at cornering. After several attempts, I finally could win because I drove a near-perfect run. Similar to Mazda RX-7 Infini III FC, you probably want to install Full Customize Suspension and tweak the Spring Rate and Ride Height's settings. Once it's done, you'll acquire your opponent's car, Pagani Zonda Race Car as reward. With Pagani Zonda Race Car / the upgraded Pagani Zonda C12S, you will start to destroy some events. I prefer Pagani Zonda Race Car as it has much better handling than Pagani Zonda C12S, but you may choose Pagani Zonda C12S if you had fully-upgraded it. Now you are ready to acquire all of the Essential Cars. First, jump into Citroen Xsara Rally Car and race at Beginner FF Challenge and Professional FF Challenge as stock car. You will acquire Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 and Spoon Civic Type-R as rewards, the third and fourth Essential Car. Next, you will do your first series: Amateur American Championship. This series actually doesn't have any cars' restriction. However, if you still want to follow the rule, you can only select any American cars. You already have at least 2 cars: Ford Focus Rally Car and Ford Escort Rally Car. The other optional car is Dodge Viper GTSR Concept from License Test, or Panoz Esperante GTR-1 from Time Trials. I didn't want to select any optional cars, so I selected either Ford car. You can actually drive a stock car, but make sure that Chevrolet Corvette C5R is not in the startup line. Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick to acquire Audi TT 1.8T quattro, the fifth Essential Car, in the west position. Now redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race. Now enter the second series: Amateur European Championship. This series actually doesn't have any cars' restriction. However, if you still want to follow the rule, you can only select any European cars. The fastest European car that you have are either Pagani Zonda Race Car or Pagani Zonda C12S. Choose either of them and then destroy the series. Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick to acquire Lotus Elise 190, the sixth Essential Car, in the east position. Now redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race. The seventh Essential Car, Toyota Altezza LM Race Car, can be acquired from two places: Professional Vitz Race and Laguna Seca 200 Endurance. Since acquiring certain car in any Endurance Races is harder (because you can't apply the first part of the "Choose The Prize Car" trick), you should race at Laguna Seca 200 Endurance first, then, if you fail to acquire it, you can acquire it at Professional Vitz Race. The endurance race doesn't have any cars' restriction, so drive your fastest car, which is Pagani Zonda Race Car / Pagani Zonda C12S. If you have acquired any F1 car from clearing one of the Side Quests, drive it. If you choose Pagani Zonda Race Car like me, buy the Super Slick Tires. The race itself really easy, because the opponents will enter the pit stop more than you. Once it's done, there are 3 cars in the prize car selection screen. Your main priority should be Toyota Altezza LM Race Car in the west position, or if you fail to acquire it, the second option is obviously F686/M in the south position. If you apply "Unique Cars" Goal, you must win Toyota Altezza LM Race Car, because the other prize cars, Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC will be acquired at Professional Race of Red Emblem, and F686/M will be acquired after clearing the entire Professional League. If you apply "One Time Race" rule, you must win Toyota Altezza LM Race Car on your first attempt. This is really hard to be done, as you have to repeat the whole endurance to have another attempt. So I just make an exception here. You are permitted to acquire Toyota Altezza LM Race Car / F686/M but have to reset if you acquire Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC. I was really lucky because I acquired Toyota Altezza LM Race Car on my first attempt. If you acquire F686/M, this car will become your primary car to clear the rest of the game without limited cars' restriction, otherwise you can still stick with Pagani Zonda Race Car / Pagani Zonda C12S. I will still assume that you don't acquire F686/M. Next, you need to race at Professional Vitz Race which is the most annoying series in the game. You must drive through 10 laps on all tracks with a slow car, especially the horrible Test Course. If you completely upgrade the car, it'll have 280 horsepower, or 294 with Oil Change. The series itself isn't challenging, it just takes quite some time to finish any single race. I believe that you don't need to install many upgrades to clear the series. However, I bought more upgrades because I wanted to quickly clear and get over with it. I installed Racing Muffler, Racing Chip, Triple Plate Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Full Racing Transmission, Turbo Stage 2, Slick Tires, and Lightweight Stage 1, then in Setting screen, I tweaked the Gear Ratio Auto Setting to Level 27. Full Racing Transmission helps to finish the horrible 10 laps Test Course faster. Turbo Stage 2 and Slick Tires are mandatory, but the rests are optional. Anyway, if you apply "Minimal Upgrade" rule, you probably want to install less upgrades. Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick to acquire a certain car. If you still haven't acquired Toyota Altezza LM Race Car from Laguna Seca 200 Endurance, now you must acquire it, otherwise choose any car as you want. However, if you apply "Unique Cars" Goal, you can only acquire either Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra JGTC or Toyota Supra RZ. Both cars won't be used on any race, so choose whichever car that you like. Now redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race. Now you have to clear SQ04 - Super Speedway 150 Miles and acquire Renault Clio Sport Race Car as the eighth Essential Car, then jump into that car and race at Professional Clio Trophy. All of your opponents only drive Renault Clio Sport V6 24V which is much slower than your car. Once it's done, you will acquire Volkswagen New Beetle Cup Car, the last Essential Car. In the prize car selection screen there are 4 cars but all of them give the same car, so don't skip the last race. Now you already have acquired all Essential Cars to clear the rest of the game. At this point you should have collected about 1,250,000 Cr. This is the end of the chapter. Before proceeding to the next chapter, you may want to try some Side Quests, especially SQ03 - Roadster Endurance because you already have the necessary car to do it. These series don't have any cars' restriction. IMO, it shouldn't be like this. There should be a rule to limit the usable cars in those championships. In this chapter, I'll focus on acquiring the necessary cars to be able to compete in the races with the additional rules I've put on myself. The first one is Beginner GT World Championship, where I put one additional rule that you can only drive any car with "Rally Car" in its name. Fortunately, there are many cars that you have acquired from clearing Rally Events, so it's not a problem. The second one is Amateur Japanese Championship, where you should only drive any of Japanese cars. Fortunately, you already have Toyota Altezza LM Race Car which should be enough. The third one is Amateur German Touring Car Championship, where you should only drive any of Dutch cars. Fortunately, you already have Ruf RGT, but it requires some upgrades later. It can be done later. The fourth one is Amateur All Japan GT Championship, where you should only drive any car with "JGTC" in its name. If you still haven't realized it yet, JGTC stands for Japan GT Championship, so only Japanese cars that have "JGTC" in its name. There are only 9 eligible cars in the game: * Honda Arta NSX JGTC * Honda Castrol Mugen NSX JGTC * Honda Raybrig NSX JGTC * Nissan C-West Razo Silvia JGTC * Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC * Nissan Loctite Zexel GT-R JGTC * Nissan Pennzoil Nismo GT-R JGTC * Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra JGTC * Toyota Denso Sard Supra GT JGTC The only JGTC car you'll acquire by default is Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC at Professional Race of Red Emblem. In order to clear the series, you can actually drive your Nismo Skyline GT-R S-tune R32, but you need to install some upgrades. However, there is an easier way to destroy the competition, which is by using Mine's Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34, so you need to acquire this car. Mine's Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34 can be acquired from two places: Amateur Gran Turismo All Stars and Trial Mountain Endurance. Since acquiring certain car in any Endurance Races is harder (because you can't apply the first part of the "Choose The Prize Car" trick), you should race at Trial Mountain Endurance first, then, if you fail to acquire it, you can acquire it at Amateur Gran Turismo All Stars. You can only drive a stock car at Trial Mountain Endurance, so any car with "Road Car" in its name is great. I think the best car among them is Toyota GT-One Road Car TS020 which can be acquired at Amateur GT World Championship, so you need to acquire this car. I know it's confusing, but please bear with me.
Amateur GT World Championship doesn't have any cars' restriction, and in my
opinion it doesn't need an additional rule, so you can select any car. Your
fastest car is Pagani Zonda Race Car / Pagani Zonda C12S, so select either of
these cars. If you select Pagani Zonda Race Car like me, you can uninstall any
upgrades (Super Slick Tires), but remember to conserve the tires in long tracks
such as Grand Valley Speedway and Tokyo R246. Once you've won it, remember to
apply "Choose The Prize Cars" trick to acquire Toyota GT-One Road Car TS020 in
the east position. Now redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race.

With Toyota GT-One Road Car TS020, now race at Trial Mountain Endurance. Your
opponents will be too slow so that you'll overlap them many times.
Unfortunately, you must drive for 2 hours regardless of how fast is your car.
That's really annoying. Once it's done, your main priority should be Mine's
Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34 in the east position, or if you fail to acquire it,
the second option is Lister Storm V12 Race Car in the north position. If you
apply "Unique Cars" goal, you can only acquire either of these cars, because
based on my Unique Cars list in 100% Completion Goals, Honda S2000 LM Race Car
will be acquired at Amateur Dream Car Championship, and F094/H will be acquired
after clearing the entire Endurance Races. Anyway, I acquired Lister Storm V12
Race Car, so I had to acquire Mine's Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34 in the
following series.

Now you need to clear the second sub-objective: Amateur Gran Turismo All Stars.
It doesn't have any cars' restriction, and in my opinion it doesn't need an
additional rule, so you can select any car. Your fastest car is Pagani Zonda
Race Car / Pagani Zonda C12S, so select either of these cars. If you select
Pagani Zonda Race Car like me, you can uninstall any upgrades (Super Slick
Tires), but remember to conserve the tires in long tracks such as Grand Valley
Speedway and Tokyo R246. Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The
Prize Cars" trick to acquire a certain car. If you still haven't acquired
Mine's Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34 from Trial Mountain Endurance, now you must
acquire it, otherwise choose any car as you want. However, the best prize car
from the rest of the cars is Honda Raybrig NSX JGTC in the west position. Now
redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race.

With Mine's Skyline GT-R-N1 V-spec R34, now destroy the competition at
Professional Race of Red Emblem. However, you need to install Super Slick Tires
beforehand. Once it's done, you'll acquire Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC as
reward. So finally the main objective is done here. Whew.

The other series that I need to mention is Professional British GT Car Cup,
where you should only drive any of British cars. Unfortunately you don't have
any right now. There are 2 options: either Jaguar XJ220 Race Car which can be
acquired at Professional GT World Championship or Jaguar XJ220 Road Car which
can be acquired at Mistral 78 Laps. Since acquiring the car from series is much
easier than endurance race, I'll discuss the first option first.

At this point, Professional GT World Championship is able to be cleared, but
you must skip the Test Course. In your current condition, you'll never win on
this track unless you want to install NA Stage 2. I was still applying "Minimal
Upgrade" rule, so I didn't want to spend any money whenever possible. Moreover,
this race is completely optional, and I don't consider the championship as
"clear" if I don't win on each of the tracks, so I decided to skip the whole
series. For the second option, Mistral 78 Laps, it's actually possible to
acquire the car but it's harder. Since I didn't want to waste another time to
do another thing which may be failed, I also decided to skip this race. It's
better to wait until you have an F1 car to be able to finish it faster. I
actually decided to take my chance but failed it, so I had to reload the game
because I was still applying "One Time Race" rule.

The next series is Amateur Dream Car Championship, where you should only drive
any car with "LM Race Car" in its name. LM stands for Limited, so maybe that's
why the championship is called "Dream Car", as only cars which are produced in
limited edition will gather here. There are only 6 eligible cars in the game:
* Honda S2000 LM Race Car
* Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car
* Mitsubishi FTO LM Race Car
* Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car
* Subaru Impreza LM Race Car
* Toyota Altezza LM Race Car

The best car under this category is Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car which can be
acquired at Professional Gran Turismo All Stars. However, you won't be able to
clear it at this point, so it's better to skip the whole series.

The last series I need to mention is Professional Polyphony Digital Cup, where
you should only drive a stock car. Fortunately, you already have Toyota GT-One
Road Car TS020 which should be enough.

This is the end of the chapter. Before proceeding to the next chapter, you may
want to try some Side Quests, especially SQ03 - Roadster Endurance
because you already have the necessary car to do it. Just proceed to the next
chapter if you don't acquire the car you want. Reload the game if you apply
"One Time Race" rule.

If you have done most of the Side Quests, somewhere in this chapter you should
have reached more than 50% of your Total Completion Percentage, so you'll
acquire Chevrolet Corvette C5R as reward. At this point you should have
collected about 2.1 million Cr.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:

CH05 - Endurance Races
********************************************************************************
In this chapter, I focused on clearing the entire Endurance Races. You should
have done at least 3 of them: Laguna Seca 200 Endurance, Trial Mountain
Endurance, and Super Speedway 150 Miles. There are 7 more left.

The first race is the race that I've mentioned many times before: Roadster
Endurance. It should be done first because it's the slowest among the others.
You will drive a fast car for the rest of the races, so you probably don't want
to retry this race anymore. Remember, if you apply "Unique Cars" goal, you can
only acquire Mazda MX-5 Miata 1.8 RS. I have given the chance to retry it a few
times before, so you probably give up on your first attempt in this chapter.
When it's true, just add F686/M as another option.

Your next objective is to acquire one of the F1 cars to clear those endurance
races faster. Your first target is F687/S, which can be acquired at two places:
Seattle 100 Miles and Special Stage Route 11. Since Seattle 100 Miles has only
3 random cars, giving a higher chance to acquire that particular car, you
should race at Seattle 100 Miles first, then, if you fail to acquire it, you
can acquire it at Special Stage Route 11.

Seattle 100 Miles actually doesn't have any cars' restriction. However, if you
still want to follow the rule, you can only select any American cars. You
already have at least 2 cars: Ford Focus Rally Car and Ford Escort Rally Car.
The other optional car is Dodge Viper GTSR Concept from License Test or Panoz
Esperante GTR-1 from the Time Trials or Chevrolet Corvette C5R from reaching
50% Total Completion. I didn't want to select any optional cars, so I selected
either Ford car. You can actually drive that car with only installing Super
Slick Tires, but make sure that Shelby Cobra is not in the startup line. Once
you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Car" trick to acquire F687/S
in the south position, or if you fail to acquire it, the second option is Panoz
Esperante GTR-1 in the west position. I know that you can acquire Panoz
Esperante GTR-1 from defeating the best records in Time Trials, but it's
probably the hardest challenge in the game. So I just make an exception here,
as you have to repeat the whole endurance to have another attempt. For your
information, repeating this race is "easier" than repeating the following race,
so it's better to acquire F687/S here. If you apply "Unique Cars" goal, you can
only acquire either of those 2 cars, because based on my Unique Cars list in
100% Completion Goals, Nismo GT-R LM Road Car R33 will be acquired at
Professional FR Challenge, and Tommy kaira ZZII will be acquired at
Professional MR Challenge.

Next, you need to race at Special Stage Route 11. This race actually doesn't
have any cars' restriction, and your opponents are chosen without any certain
pattern to raise an additional rule, so you can select any car. Your fastest
car is Pagani Zonda Race Car / Pagani Zonda C12S, so select either of these
cars. If you select Pagani Zonda Race Car like me, you must reinstall Super
Slick Tires back. The race itself may provide some challenge, but you'll
eventually win because your opponent will enter the pit stop more than you.
Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Cars" trick to acquire
a certain car. If you still haven't acquired F687/S before, now you must
acquire it, otherwise choose any car as you want. For your information,
Chevrolet Camaro Race Car is located in the west position, Honda Arta NSX JGTC
is located in the north position, and Toyota SuperAutoBacs Apex MR-S is located
in the east position. All of these cars won't be used on any race, so choose
whichever car that you like.

With F687/S, now you are ready to clear all races without limited cars'
restriction. For the test run, destroy the competition at Mistral 78 Laps.
F1 Cars are really fast, and they have the best handling. Once you've won it,
remember to apply "Choose The Prize Cars" trick to acquire a certain car. This
is probably one of the hardest prize car selection, because you can only
acquire Jaguar XJ220 Road Car in the east position. For the other prize cars,
you already have Pagani Zonda Race Car, F686/M will be acquired after clearing
the entire Professional League, and Mitsubishi FTO LM Race Car will be acquired
at Professional Dream Car Championship. Anyway, you have one of the fastest car
now, so you probably want to retry a few times before giving up. When it's
true, just add F686/M as another option.

The next race is Passage to Colosseo. This race actually doesn't have any cars'
restriction. However, if you still want to follow the rule, you can only select
any European cars. The fastest European car that you have are either Pagani
Zonda Race Car or Pagani Zonda C12S, so select either of these cars. If you
select Pagani Zonda Race Car like me, you must reinstall Super Slick Tires
back. This race has similar condition as Trial Mountain Endurance:, you must
drive for 2 hours regardless of how fast is your car. That's really annoying.
Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose The Prize Cars" trick to acquire
either Gillet Vertigo Race Car in the west position, or Lancia Delta HF
Integrale Rally Car in the east position, because you already have Pagani Zonda
Race Car, and F688/S will be acquired after clearing the whole Simulation Mode.

The following 2 races have similar strategies, so I'll mention both of them.
Grand Valley and Tokyo Route 246 don't have any cars' restriction. However, if
you still want to follow the rule, you can only select any "JGTC" cars in its
name. You already have Nissan Calsonic Skyline JGTC which should be enough, but
remember to install Super Slick Tires beforehand. About the prize cars, In
Grand Valley you can only acquire either Subaru Impreza LM Race Car in the west
position or Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car in the north position, because Spoon
S2000 Race Car will be acquired at Amateur Stars & Stripes, and F090/S will be
acquired at Professional Formula GT. However, you probably want to acquire
Subaru Impreza LM Race Car, as Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car can be acquired at the
other races later. In Tokyo Route 246 you can only acquire either Mazda RX-7 LM
Race Car in the west position or Nissan C-West Razo Silvia JGTC in the east
position, because you already have Toyota GT-One Road Car TS020, and F094/H
will be acquired after clearing the entire Endurance Races, which is now.

Since you have cleared the entire Endurance Races, you'll acquire F094/H, your
second F1 car, as reward. At this point you should have collected about 4.4
million Cr.

This is the end of the chapter. Before proceeding to the next chapter, you may
want to finish SQ05 - Finish Arcade Mode since you already have the F1 car.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:
north, east, south, or west car when necessary.

CH06 - Some of the Hardest One Makes
********************************************************************************
In this chapter, I focused on clearing some of the hardest One Makes. The rest
of them can be cleared with nearly a stock car, so you won't need a special
strategy for them.

The first One Make is Professional Elise Trophy, so jump into Lotus Elise 190.
The series is very challenging to the point that you probably want to install
nearly or all of the upgrades. The car itself is great and has good handling,
but you need to increase its horsepower. I bought Racing Muffler, Racing Chip,
Triple Plate Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Full Racing Transmission, Turbo Stage 1,
Slick Tires, and Lightweight Stage 1, then in Setting screen, I tweaked the
Gear Ratio to Auto Setting Level 28.

Before entering the series, you may want to retry several times until there are
only one or two Lotus Motor Sport Elise cars. Those cars are your biggest
opponent in the race, because it has more horsepower than your fully-upgraded
car. Usually I managed to gain first position after lap 3, except the race on
Apricot Hill Raceway where I had to wait until Lotus Motor Sport Elise entered
the pit stop at lap 8. Once you've won it, you'll acquire another Lotus Elise
190 as reward regardless of your choice, so don't skip the last race. I really
disappointed because the reward isn't worth enough after all you've been
through.

While you're still riding it, there are another 2 races that you have to clear:
Beginner Spider & Roadster and Professional Spider & Roadster. Obviously, it's
better to clear the harder one first. Your car's current condition should be
enough, but make sure that TVR Griffith 500 is not in the startup line. Without
it, your biggest opponent is Lotus Motor Sport Elise, but it's slower than the
one you've competed at Professional Elise Trophy, so you don't need to worry.
Once you've won it, you'll acquire Shelby Cobra as reward. Now destroy the
Beginner Spider & Roadster and acquire Mazda MX-5 Miata LS as reward, which is
identical to your very first car in the game.

The second One Make is Tourist Trophy, which has 2 series: Beginner Audi TT
Races and Amateur Tourist Trophy. Similar to previous strategy, it's better to
clear the harder one first. Jump into Audi TT 1.8T quattro and then install
some upgrades. This car is really bad at cornering which reminds me of Mazda
RX-7 Infini III FC, so it requires some tuning. Even after fixing its cornering
problem, the races itself is very challenging to the point that you probably
want to install nearly or all of the upgrades. However, I put restrictions on
myself and only bought Full Customize Suspension, Racing Chip, Triple Plate
Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Full Racing Transmission, Turbo Stage 1, and Racing
Intercooler, then in Setting screen, I tweaked the Spring Rate Front to 16 and
Rear to 8, tweaked the Ride Height for both 102, and adjusted the Gear Ratio
to Auto Setting Level 28.

If you still follow my own restriction above, this car will always lose at
straight lines, so you need to do better cornering. The hardest track is the
last one, Deep Forest Raceway II, so you probably want to test your upgrades by
driving on this track as single race, and then after clearing it, enter the
series and skip the last track. After retrying many times, I finally was able
to win on the Deep Forest Raceway II with the margin of 0.8 seconds, but I was
driving on my best without making any mistake. Once you've won it, you'll
acquire Audi S4 as reward regardless of your choice. Now destroy the Beginner
Audi TT Races and acquire Audi TT 1.8T quattro as reward regardless of
your choice, so don't skip the last race. This car is identical to your current
car.

The third One Make is the Type-R Meeting: which also has 2 series: Beginner
Type-R Meeting and Amateur Type-R Meeting. Similar to previous strategy, it's
better to clear the harder one first. Your biggest opponent is Honda NSX Type R
with its default 276 horsepower, and after having retried it many times, that
car wouldn't go away from the startup line, so I had to deal with it. Jump into
Spoon Civic Type-R and then install some upgrades. I only bought NA Stage 2 and
Full Racing Transmission, then in Setting screen, I tweaked the Gear Ratio to
Auto Setting Level 30.

The races itself isn't that hard than the previous 2 One Makes, but if you
still have trouble, you can install more upgrades. You can also retry the races
until there is only 1 Honda NSX Type R in the startup line, and it doesn't show
up in the first position. However, I had cleared it against 2 Honda NSX Type R
cars, which was more harder. Once you've won it, you can choose any car as you
want, because you won't acquire its duplicate from anywhere. For your
information, Mugen S2000 is located in the north position, Honda S2000 is
located in the east position, Honda NSX Type R is located in the south
position, and Spoon S2000 is located in the west position. Personally, I chose
Mugen S2000 because that car is the only car from "Mugen" manufacturer.

Now destroy the Beginner Type-R Meeting as Honda NSX Type R will never show up
in the startup line, and then acquire Acura RSX Type-S as reward regardless of
your choice.

This is the end of the chapter. Say goodbye to those cars because you won't
need them again. The rest of the One Makes should be really easy so that you
won't need a special strategy for them. At this point you should have collected
about 4.4 million Cr.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:

CH07 - The Rests that Require Special Attentions
********************************************************************************
This chapter is the quickest chapter. I only focused on clearing some optional
races which require additional notes, and also acquiring optional cars that
have been skipped before.

First, I need to mention Amateur German Touring Car Championships. This series
actually doesn't have any cars' restriction. However, if you still want to
follow the rule, you can only select any Dutch cars. Your best Dutch car is Ruf
RGT, but it requires some upgrades. This championship reminds me of
Professional Italian Avant Garde where you have to compete aganist Racing cars
with only a normal car, so you probably want to install nearly or all of the
upgrades. However, I only bought Racing Chip, Triple Plate Clutch,
Racing Flywheel, Full Racing Transmission, and Turbo Stage 2, then in Setting
screen, I tweaked the Gear Ratio to Auto Setting Level 32.

The races itself is quite challenging, and the hardest track is the last one,
Tokyo Route 246, so you probably want to test your upgrades by driving on this
track as single race, and then after clearing it, enter the series and skip the
last track. This car can be installed with Turbo Stage 4, so install it if you
want to destroy the competition. Once you've won it, remember to apply "Choose
The Prize Cars" trick to acquire either Opel Astra Touring Car in the east
position, Ruf 3400S in the north position, or Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car in the
west position, because you already have Volkswagen New Beetle Cup Car.

Next, I need to mention 2 series which have similar strategies. Professional
GT World Championship and Professional Gran Turismo All Stars don't have any
cars' restriction, and in my opinion they don't need an additional rule, so you
can select any car. Jump into any of your F1 cars and then destroy both series.
About the prize cars, In Professional GT World Championship, you should acquire
Jaguar XJ220 Race Car in the south position, and in Professional Gran Turismo
All Stars you should acquire Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car in the south position.
Now redo all tracks that have been skipped as single race.

This is the end of the chapter. In the following chapter you'll clear every
possible race without buying any car. At this point you should have collected
about 6.3 million Cr.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:
north, east, south, or west car when necessary.

CH08 - Clear Every Possible Race Without Buying Any Car
********************************************************************************
This is it. Now you'll clear all races except 2 One Makes which require certain
cars that must be bought. The last 4 series require S License, so you should
acquire it before clearing those series. Somewhere in this chapter you should
have reached more than 75% of your Total Completion Percentage, so you'll
acquire Mazda 787B as reward. At this point you should have collected
about 10.5 million Cr.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:
north, east, south, or west car when necessary.

As additional note, if the race has an optional rule that I've put on myself,
I'll provide another car to follow the rule.

CH09 - Final One Makes
********************************************************************************
I was surprised that I was able to achieve 97.7% without buying any car.
Unfortunately for the rest of the races, you have to buy 2 cars. It should be
your first time to buy a car.

The first One Make is Beginner Legend of Silver Arrow and Amateur Legend of
Silver Arrow, which requires a Mercedes-Benz car. Mercedez-Benz only has 4
registered cars, and only 3 of them are buyable. Beginner Legend of Silver
Arrow will give Mercedez-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor as reward and Amateur Legend
of Silver Arrow will give Mercedez-Benz CLK Touring Car as reward. If you
apply "Unique Cars" goal, you can only buy either of the other 2 cars:
Mercedez-Benz CLK55 or Mercedez-Benz CL600. After comparing both cars, I
preferred Mercedez-Benz CLK55 because it's cheaper and only has slightly less
horsepower than Mercedez-Benz CL600.

Similar to the one you've been done before, it's better to clear the harder one
first, so you need to install some upgrades. However, NA Stage 2 was enough for
me to clear the races, even though they are quite challenging. This car is
really bad at cornering, so it probably requires some tuning. Your biggest
opponent is Mercedez-Benz CLK55, the same car as yours. Once you've won it,
you'll acquire Mercedez-Benz CLK Touring Car as reward. And then, since the
entire Amateur League has been cleared, you'll also acquire Dodge Viper GTS-R
Team Oreca as reward.

Now destroy the Beginner Legend of Silver Arrow, either with your upgraded
Mercedez-Benz CLK55, or switch to Mercedez-Benz CLK Touring Car that you've
just acquired it. You'll acquire Mercedez-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor as reward.
And then, since the entire Beginner League has been cleared, you'll also
acquire Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V GSR as reward.

The last One Make is Professional Tuscan Challenge, which requires TVR Tuscan
Speed 6 as the only permitted car in the series. The car itself is really
great, so you don't need to install many upgrades. Personally, I only bought
Full Racing Transmission and Super Slick Tires, then in Setting screen, I
tweaked the Gear Ratio to Auto Setting Level 34. With only these upgrades, the
hardest track is, as usual, the last track: Test Course, so consider it as the
final boss of the game. That track require a special strategy, and I'll discuss
it below. Now clear the series and skip the last track. Once you've won it, you
can choose any car as you want, because you won't acquire its duplicate from
anywhere. However, the best prize car is TVR Speed 12 in the south position, as
any other positions only gives TVR Griffith 500 as reward. TVR Speed 12 is far
better than TVR Griffith 500, and it's unbuyable, so you should acquire it. And
then, since the entire Professional League has been cleared, you'll also
acquire F686/M as reward.

Now I'll discuss the strategy to be used on Test Course. Drive as usual and do
the slipstream. At this moment, select any car that doesn't have any car on its
front, then drive behind your chosen target. Don't pass it, and keep bumping it
from behind. In the corner side, just maintain your car's balance and don't hit
the outer grid while keep pushing your target. In the straight line just drive
behind it to give it more speed. Before reaching the east corner side of the
second lap, make sure that only your car and your target have moved away from
the rest of the cars. if there is another car that manages to follow you, the
following strategy is impossible to be done and you should restart the race.
If done correctly, just continue the race and drive until lap 3 to increase the
gap even more.

At the first straight line of lap 3, keep pushing your target, then, before
entering the west corner side, move away from your target toward the middle of
the track; a white line can be seen in the middle of the track. Drive inside of
the white line, and keep your right tires as close as possible to the line. For
the rest of the race, just drive inside the middle line to prevent your target
from chasing you. You'll gradually increase the gap, usually about 0.4 second
per lap, and finally you'll win the race with around 3 seconds difference. The
final boss of this game has been cleared.

And now for the last prize, you'll acquire F688/S since you have cleared the
whole Simulation Mode. If you also have cleared all tracks in Arcade Mode and
defeated the best records in Time Trials, you'll reach 100% Total Completion
Percentage, so you'll acquire F094/S as reward.

Here is a recap of what races should be done, what cars should be used, what is
the necessary upgrades and tuning if any, and the prize cars you should acquire
if there are multiple possible prize cars. I use 4 main directions as pointer:
north, east, south, or west car when necessary.

PN07 - What's Next
********************************************************************************
Since you already have cleared the whole Simulation Mode, you may want to break
all rules and acquire every possible winnable cars to complete your car
collections, especially those nice looking racing cars. However, before that...

With your collected money, if you follow this guide then about 10 million Cr,
you can spend most of them to buy all of the nice looking racing cars. Below is
the list of cars that haven't been acquired in the game, especially the cars
that can only be acquired from Endurance Races.
* Honda Castrol Mugen NSX JGTC - 1,250,000 Cr.
* Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car - 500,000 Cr.
* Lister Storm V12 Race Car             - 1,198,000 Cr.
* Nissan Pennzoil Nismo GT-R JGTC       -   785,000 Cr.
* Tickford Falcon XR8 Race Car          - 1,500,000 Cr.
* Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra JGTC       - 1,250,000 Cr.

Then you probably want to buy some good normal cars.
* Aston Martin V8 Vantage               -   455,000 Cr.
* Jaguar XJ220 Road Car                 -   780,000 Cr.

Total Cost = 7,718,000 Cr.

If you didn't acquire all of them before, and you decide to buy them all,
you'll still have about 2 millions Cr to be spent on something else.

Now clear your main objective, which is to acquire every possible winnable
cars. Below is the list of series that you need to repeat. Before repeating any
race, make sure to check that you haven't acquired your target yet, or else you
only waste your time. Some series may have more than 1 collectible prize cars,
so you may need to repeat them a few times to acquire all of them.
