It takes up 11 blocks of the PocketStation's memory. To access Pocket Zero on the PocketStation, push right on the time screen until you see Ryu punching Ken in the head. (It will be one screen to the right unless you have more than one game downloaded.) Please note that while looking at character's names in this FAQ, the Japanese name will be first, followed by the U.S. name. News from Capcom concerning Pocket Alpha: I recently emailed Capcom asking them to give me the code to release the PocketStation Mode in Street Fighter Alpha3. Well, they mailed me back and said that they had no knowledge of a code that would do this. This led me to believe two things. Either they were just trying to hide the mode for a little while longer, OR the PocketStation Mode isn't really in the game. If the latter is true, than this FAQ will remain to only be for the Japanese version. Too bad, Pocket Alpha would have been awesome. IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THIS FAQ: James Wong (FF Flash) just sent me an awesome GameShark code for Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Yep, Alpha...not Zero!). Are you ready for this? The code unlocks the PocketStation game in the American Version! The American mini-game is called Pocket Alpha3! Proceed to Section I to find out how to unlock this awesome game! Where you can find the Guide: GameFAQs----------------www.gamefaqs.com VGStrategies------------http://vgstrategies.miningco.com/ Please email me if you find any mistakes, or want to add/ask something. Charts/Tables X. Revisions XI. Credits ======================================================================= I. Downloading and Uploading: ======================================================================= A: Downloading from Street Fighter Zero3: When you get to the main menu for Zero3, choose PocketStation. This will bring up the next set of menus. The top menu lets you download a new level 1 character. When you download them you also get two extra characters (See Table C). The bottom choice lets you download one of your World Tour characters. It first asks where your World Tour data is, than it asks where you want to download it. Downloading a World Tour character will also get you the same two extras from Table C. B: Uploading back to Street Fighter Zero3: (Make sure the PocketStation is plugged in before you begin this.) When you get to the main menu for Zero3, choose World Tour. Now choose New Game. This will bring up two Japanese choices and Exit. Choose the middle choice, and it will ask which Slot the PocketStation is in. Choose the Slot, and than choose the top choice in the next menu. This will bring up a screen with a list of all your collected characters. Choose the one you want and begin! One note, if you've built your fighter past level 32 on the PocketStation, than he will be level 32 (Master) in World Tour Mode. This is because that's the maximum level that the World Tour Mode can record. C: Unlocking Pocket Alpha3: If you read the important news at in the beginning of the FAQ than you know that FF Flash has sent me a GameShark code to unlock this game. Here is the code: Pocket Alpha3: 80194232 0005 Enter this code and get to the main menu of Street Fighter Alpha 3. Go to the options choice and pick it. Now exit options and your cursor should be on a blank spot and an info screen should say something about downloading to PocketStation. Picking this will bring up two choices: New Game and Load. New Game lets you pick any Level 1 character and download them (along with 3 others, See Table C). Load lets you load any saved World Tour character and download them. NOTE: While this code did not glitch my GS, FF Flash and I both are sorry if it does glitch yours, but that's just a chance you'll have to take. ======================================================================= II. Menu Breakdown ======================================================================= When you begin Pocket Zero, you see the little Capcom intro with the guy from Side Arms. Then you pop up in the Menu screen. You begin on the Game Menu picture. The Menus: 1. Status Pushing left once on the Training Menu picture will bring up this Menu. It shows Rose sitting in a chair examining Sakura. In this Menu you can flip trough pictures of all your downloaded characters, and the still unknown ones. 2. Game This is the default Menu. It shows Blanka standing in front of a giant PocketStation. In this Menu you can select different little games to train your characters with. It says "Game" above the picture, in Japanese, of course. 3. Team This Menu shows Juni, Juli, and a bunch of the other clones. Selecting this will allow you to arrange your downloaded characters into the order you want them. 4. Auto This Menu shows Dan taunting a training dummy. By choosing this, you can select which mode you want your character in. 5. Versus This Menu has Akuma in face-off with Ryu. Accessing this mode allows you to fight your friends (or enemies) by Linking two PocketStations. 6. Quit This is the final Menu choice on the right. It is a picture of Birdie walking towards an open door. By choosing this, you exit the Pocket Zero game or cancel and play it some more. ======================================================================= III. Status Menu ======================================================================= ######### ######### # # # # # # ### ######## # ### # ## # # # ### # ## ### ##### # ## ## # # ## # ### # # # ######## ####### S T A T U S : In the Status Menu, you get to see the characters you have downloaded, and obviously, their status. First you'll scroll threw the list of 34 characters, than once you select one, you can see what mode their in and if you press down, you can see more menus about them. The menu breakdown is as follows: 1. Character Picture 2. Level, HP, Attack, and % Stats 3. Experience Points needed till next level 4. Win/Loss Record 5. Points Ranking 1. The characters are in the following order: Ryu Zangief Ken Gen Gouki (Akuma) M.Bison (Balrog) Nash (Charlie) Cammy Chun-Li S.Ryu (E.Ryu) Adon E.Honda Sodom Blanka Guy R.Mika Birdie Cody Rose Balrog (Vega) Vega (M.Bison) Karin Sagat Juli Dan Juni Sakura Fei-Long Rolento Dee Jay Dhalsim T.Hawk {E.Ryu, Guile, S.Gouki, and S.Ryu appear in the list if you earn them through VS CPU or if you download one of them from the PlayStation.} 2. Points: The amount of experience points that you get depends on the training that you are doing. Every minute that goes by, even if the PocketStation is turned off, your characters gain 1 experience point. ======================================================================= IV. Game Menu ======================================================================= ### ### ### # ### ## # # ## # # ## # # ## ###### #### #### ## # ## # # ####### # ### ###### G A M E : In the Game Menu you get to select either which character or game you want to play. Choosing a character will take you to their training game. There are 6 spaces for characters, a Vs CPU space, and the Slot Machine space. In order to earn characters 4, 5, and 6, you must defeat all three opponents in the Vs CPU game. If you earn one it will show you your new fighter and their stats. You can than choose if you want to keep them or not. In the Slot Machine game, if you win, you can play again for more experience points. If you win the second game, you can try again for more experience points. ======================================================================= V. Team Mode ======================================================================= ##### ### # # # # ### ### ## # # ##### #### ### ### # ## # # # ##### # #### ###### T E A M : In Team Mode, you get to simply arrange your characters. You select which one will be 1st, than 2nd, and finally 3rd. If you have more than three characters, you can also arrange them here too. The arrangement that you select will be the order that your characters are in the game menu. ======================================================================= VI. Mode Set ======================================================================= ### ### ### ## # # # # # ### ### ###### # ## ## # ### # # ###### # ##### ### M O D E : The three main choices are Easy (E), Normal (N), and Hard (H). These three choices refer to the training that your characters get when you're not playing. If you select Easy, your character will not get good training, but he won't get tired either. On the other hand, if you select Hard, than your character will train harder, but also become tired quicker. The last choice is Rest. The symbol for rest is the biggest of the four choices, and puts your character in the "Z" mode. But Wait!, there is a non-selectable mode! It's the "D" mode and I think it only appears if you let your fighter train too hard. #### ########## ##### ######## ## # # # # # # # # # # ## # # ### ######### ####### # # ####### ###### # # ## # # ## # Mode: [E] # # ## # # Mode: [H] #### ######## ######## ### # ####### #### # # # ## # ### # # # ### #### #### #### ### ======================================================================= VII. Vs. Mode ======================================================================= OK, I now have 2 PocketStations (1 White and 1 Crystal!) and I can tell you that this mode is nothing big. You start out by choosing the order of your characters. The Japanese choice when ordering your character is End, picking this ends your selection and asks you if your choices are correct. After you choose your characters you'll be asked if your choices are right (Yes/No). Now, put the 2 PocketStations together and they will exchange information. You can now separate the PocketStations and watch the battle. If you lose you earn 0 Exp., but if you win, than the experience points vary. If you have a 3-man team, than each character earns 100 Exp. If you have a 2-man team, than each one earns 150 Exp., and finally if you have a lone wolf and he wins, he'll get 300 Exp.! NOTE: Pocket Zero and Pocket Alpha3 CAN be linked together to fight!! ======================================================================= VIII. Quit ======================================================================= This menu is so easy to understand that I shouldn't even be writing about it, but I will. Selecting Quit will bring up two choices: Continue and Exit. Pick Continue if you don't want to exit, and pick Exit if you do want to Exit. ======================================================================= IX. Charts/Tables: ======================================================================= As you may already know, this section is just useless info that I felt like adding. The only Semi-Helpful thing her is the Game List. By using this you get away from always playing the Bubble game and start fighting Dan. A. After a 3-Count, a bomb will start to fizzle and he will start his attack. If he just stands there, than attack. If he begins to charge up, than block. The longer the bomb's wick, the more points you get. You have 3 hearts, and getting a perfect gives you +10 points. Hit Dan 3 times to win. Battle Training II (vs. Sakura): Characters: S. Gouki Controls: Left Control – Block Enter Button - Attack How to play: In this game, you have to figure out what Sakura will do and act accordingly.
