Wanderers From Jumpper should be the "sequel" of Jumper 2 from 100 Yen Disk 2. I wonder about the differences between Jumpper and Jumper... @__@ Not a very important note >__> '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. A. CONTROLS '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. Wanderers From Jumpper is compatible with PC88 joystick. You must use keyboard for the other games inside this disk. Wanderers From Jumpper: [X] = Button 1 -> to fire... or "fire" >__> [Z] = Button 2 -> to jump. You can hold the [Jump] button for Jumpper to jump high and the jump is maneuverable. But, as soon as you touch the "ceiling" of this game which is harmless, jumpper will fall somewhat faster than after jumping without touching the "ceiling". Auto fire for [X] button and joystick Button 1 is auto-activated. Balloon: [4] and [6]: to jump left or jump right. You can control the jump left or right while the girl (in this case: you) is in the air until several times. Sushi Puzzle: [2],[4],[6],[8]: to move the puzzle's cursor. [Spacebar] : to change the sushi. '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. B. RULES '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. Wanderers From Jumpper: A typical adventure game. This time Jumpper does not only jump to avoid obstacles (now, it has official name: hardles) and spiky ceilings, but this time Jumpper can do something to beat the enemies on the way. You start with 4 lifes and the game will be over after all the lifes are gone. After collecting 10 red balls only, you get an extra life, the score does nothing. After passing a stage, the red balls you have collected will be a waste. Jumpper can't run to the very right side of the screen, there is always a limit until where Jumpper can run and/or jump. The screen is going forward as usual, you shouldn't be squeezed between the screen and the hardles. Balloon: You play as a girl who can only jump around. You should land yourself on a balloon to get points and advance through the game. If you land yourself on the ground, the ground will "grow" a tack, hence if you land on the tack, the game will be over and you have to start over the game. Sushi Puzzle: You have to change the 10x10 board, so that all the contents are the red sushis instead of the blue sushis. The changing rule is: If you change one content of the board, you change all the neighboring vertical and horizontal contents. ------------ ^ y+ |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |BBBBBBBBBB| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | |RRRRRRRBRR| | ------------ | ------------> x+ I'll use "point" term instead of "square" term to make the expression easier. For the simplicity of all things, the board point expression will be made the same with the old mathematic lesson at school (so, you'll understand what I'm talking about if you are studying hard enough at the school ^__^) And, in this case, you should change the point (8,8) to make the board red. Oh, in case you don't know: B=Blue, R=Red. I think the game's rules are very clear right now. '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. C. GENERAL TIPS '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. I only give tips for Sushi Puzzle since the other two games are pretty simple. You should read these in order. Be warned that I may miss the best tip for this game. But, better something than nothing, right? 1. You see the board. If there are all blue sushis on all the row and column and they meet on a point, you change that point. 2. If you see most of the column and row are blue sushis and they meet on a point, be sure to change that point. This starts to get difficult to do though. 3. If you see blue sushi(s) that is/are out of pattern, try to click on the blue sushi(s). I think this is the most difficult to notice. 4. If you see a row or column that has some red sushis on the middle, try to click on them. But beware that the red sushis must NOT form a square. Brute force methods: 1. If you see four blue sushis that form a square/rectangular, memorize all of their locations to click all of them. 2. Memorize all of the blue sushis locations to click all of their locations. These two counts as "brute force" by me because you can use these two methods to solve all the later nasty puzzles, but you have to click on many many blue sushis. '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. D. WALKTHROUGH '.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'.'. Insert the floppy disk, then run the game. There are three games available. Use [2] and [8] button on the keyboard's right to select a game. Press [Spacebar] to confirm the selection. 1. Wanderers From Jumpper a.k.a. Jumper 3 2. Balloon 3. Sushi Puzzle Sound board 2 music show is unselectable. --------------------------- D01. WANDERERS FROM JUMPPER --------------------------- After selecting this game, press [Spacebar] key to start the game. Now, the good news is: You can use your PC88 joystick instead of the good ol' keyboard to control Jumpper! What's after the :: symbol is the content of the stage and it has been sorted based on the appearance. Stage 1 ------- ::Hardles (2,3,5), Red Balls, Snakebird, Tapmonster, Gobaahn, GobaahnAttack, -Warning- First girl, -Warning- Second girl Note that hardles (2,3,5) means hardles with height 2,3, and 5. After defeating the boss of stage 1, you should see a girl's picture. Press [Return] to continue to stage 2. Stage 2 ------- ::Hardles (1,3,4,5,6,9), Snakebird, Onikick, Red Balls?, Tyfoon, Tapmonster, -Warning- School girl x3 After seeing the girl's picture, press [Return] to continue to stage 3. Stage 3 ------- ::Hardles, Eyeguarder, Tapmonster, Evel Gobaahn, Snakebird, Good Gobaahn, Firepicker, Red Balls, Walkingguarder, Tyfoon, Blue Ball, Onikick, -Warning- Gobaahn x9, -Warning- Eyeguarder+Tyfoon If there is enemy repetition, the enemy name is not mentioned again. The hardles in this stage doesn't have any measurement. The Blue Ball only adds 1 to your score, but it gives you 1 extra life. As usual, after defeating Eyeguarder+Typhoon, there is a girl's picture. Press [Return] to continue to stage 4. Stage 4 ------- ::Hardles (x,2), Floatingkiller, Blue Ball, Yamodar, Onikick, Good Gobaahn, Firepicker, Snakebird, Tyfoon, Tapmonster, -Warning- Floating Elephant After defeating the last boss of the game, congratulations because you have defeated this game. Press [Return] for the last girl's picture to go back to Main Menu. ------------ D02. BALLOON ------------ This game is pretty simple. After reading the rough explanation of this game, you should know what this game is all about. The problem is you only have one life and the adventure seems to never end! After you pop all of the balloons, the stage will change with a new set of balloons. So, when will this end? Frankly, I don't know the answer but I can give you a rough answer to that. The same with some other games from this game developer like Jumper 2, it seems to be there is a very large amount of this kind of boring game setting because the balloons set is fixed every time you play the game. There are 40 balloon slots in each stage, but as far as I can see, there is the least of 3 balloons in each stage and the most of 20 balloons in each stage. The possibility of this situation will be: C(40,3) + C(40,4) + C(40,5) + C(40,6) + ...................... + C(40,20) C(40,3) = 38x13x20 = 9880 C(40,20) is kinda boringsome of the calculation. But, based on the combination calculator I find on the internet, this... integer consists of 12 digits!! So, if the game developer uses some kind of program to make a very boring game like this, you... should know when this game will end. ----------------- D03. SUSHI PUZZLE ----------------- Sushi Puzzle seems to be a very simple puzzle. But, as a matter of fact, it can be made very complicated, like this game. Sushi Puzzle contains 10x10 board which each single board could have one of the sushis: blue sushi or red sushi. Like what I say above, you have to permute the board so that all its contents become red sushis. You are free to change the board without turn and time limit. But, beware in such situation, I think this sushi puzzle is still not easy at all, because there will be 39 puzzles, you can't save in between the puzzles and there seems to be no hint anywhere that's related to this kind of game (yet) >_> You should know that clicking the same point two times is absurd. I hope you've seen the above general tips on section C. Puzzle 1: -Using tip 1, we click (3,4) Puzzle 2: -Using tip 2, we click (4,5), and (8,3) Puzzle 3: -Using brute force tip 1/2, we click (3,8), (8,8), (8,3), (3,3) Puzzle 4: -Using tip 2, we click (4,7),(8,5),(6,3) Puzzle 5: -Using brute force tip 1, we click (5,5),(5,6),(6,6),(6,5) -Using brute force tip 1, we click (2,2),(2,9),(9,9),(9,2) Puzzle 6: -Using brute force tip 1, we click (5,5),(5,6),(6,6),(6,5) -Using brute force tip 1, we click (5,1),(6,1),(5,10),(6,10) Puzzle 7: -Using tip 2, we click (2,1),(4,1),(6,1) Puzzle 8: -Using tip 2, we click (2,1), and (4,2) Puzzle 9: -Using tip 2, we click (3,10),(5,5),(6,5),(1,8) Puzzle 10: -Using tip 3, we click (1,10),(2,9),(3,8),(4,7),(7,4),(8,3),(9,2),(10,1) Puzzle 11: -Using tip 3, we click (2,9),(4,7),(6,5),(8,3),(10,1) Note that the out-of-pattern is: | --- | instead of this below pattern: - - - - Puzzle 12: -Using tip 2, we click (5,1),(5,2),(5,2)......,(5,9) Puzzle 13: -Using tip 4, we click (3,3),(3,4),(3,5),(3,6) -Using tip 4, we click (2,4),(3,4),(4,4),(2,5),(3,5),(4,5) Puzzle 14: -Using tip 4, we click (2,5), and (2,6) -Using brute force tip 1, we click (5,2),(7,2),(5,9),(7,9) Puzzle 15: -Using tip 3, we click (3,5),(5,2),(6,9),(8,5) -Using tip 4, we click (5,1),(5,2),(5,3),(5,4),(5,6),(5,7),(5,8),(5,10). In case of you are wondering about the "specialty" of them. This may answer your wonderment, but we lack the reason to click the remaining points. Although, clicking the same point two times is absurd, but in a complicated puzzle, we can't simply erase two same points. Because if we click a point, then another point than back to the point the result is different, we will need that another point to be clicked once more too. Puzzle 37: -Using tip 3, we click (2,6),(3,4),(4,8),(5,2),(6,9),(7,3),(8,7),(9,5) These points/squares adjacent to red sushis the most. Puzzle 38: -Using brute force tip 1, we click the eight rectangulars, so that the remaining points are (3,2),(5,2),(7,2),(9,2),(10,3),(10,5),(10,7),(10,9). And you should click all of them without any mistake in order to advance... I think you can use the other clicking orders, but dividing them into rectangulars are the safest way to win.... or, at least the "safest" XD Puzzle 39: -Using brute force tip 1, we click the eight rectangulars, so that the remaining points are (1,1),(3,1),(5,1),(7,1),(9,1),(2,2),(4,2),(6,2),(8,2),(10,2),(9,3), (9,5),(9,7),(9,9),(10,4),(10,6),(10,8),(10,10).
